The Zourith Kingdom has been protected by a magical barrier shield for as long as anyone could remember. It served multiple purposes period. The main purpose of the barrier was to lesson or damping evil or spiteful magics. It helps protect the citizens from those who would use any powers for maleficent or evil means. The barrier also helped to keep out anything truly evil in nature. So as long as you stayed inside the Kingdom borders then most monsters and demons wouldn't ever be a problem.

The barrier shield was powered by 5 legendary artifacts. 5 crystals that change shape based on the wielder. The Crystals of Strenght, Loyalty, Courage, Spirit, and Wisdom. It's said the original spell to use and activate the items required a sacrifice. But that was only legend since no one in over 500 years has even seen them. Not even the current king knew where the artifacts rested for sure. Worse is the fact that the barrier has recently weakened to the north. Now things are starting to slowly pass through, creatures that would have never made it through the barrier shield before. Cities and towns are starting to fall under attack. Trade routes are no longer safe. But only in the northernmost parts of the kingdom.

But what has happened to the barrier? Who might know anything about what's going on? It's rumored to the west in the Forest of Keeltrie there is an old elven druid who might have some of the answers.

Kaladorei, a town located just north of the swampy glades. Setting at the foothills of the Northern Summit. The township itself looks beautiful. With its spruce wood rooftops, ash wood walls and foggy fields, Kaladorei has a magical atmosphere. Welcoming all walks of life. Didn't matter race as long as you came in peace. It was one of the few places Megir liked to spend her time between jobs. Not many places excepted half-orcs so openly. After all, they were still orcs.

The sun was starting to wane in the afternoon sky as she stalked through the thick muck. Her fur and leather boots making a suctioning sound with each step. Her legs sinking almost knee-deep into the sludgy waters. "Come on Gorge, I think we are getting close." She huffed with each step. Her boar only squealed out its disdain for the situation. Not liking being coated in dirt and mud. No matter what people thought about their kind. "Stop your bellyaching. We were hired to kill the swamp hag. We've already found the nest of bones. Just keep your eyes open, ok?" She didn't like being there any more than the boar. But the swamp hag had killed seven of the town's children and nine adults. They were desperate to find anyone strong enough to kill it. So there she was, Her long pumpkin hair pulled back into rows of braids, getting herself coated in the nastiest gunk she could imagine. All for a little coin and the chance to help out a town that had been nothing but kind.

Just as Megir was about to turn around, something burst forth from the murky waters. A twisted creature with green wrinkled skin and covered in moss. long black matted hair framed an angular face. The boney spine can be seen on the hunched over hag. It was hard to believe something like this was strong enough to take out so many. However before Megir had a chance to react, the repugnant thing had her by the ankle and was tossing her like a limp sack of potatoes. "Whaaaa..." She screamed as she went flying into the deeper waters of the small marsh just outside of town.

The boar tried to charge only to find itself stuck in the mug and slowly sinking. Now she understood how the hag took out so many. Quickly Megir made her way to more shallow waters as she pulled her short sword and hand ax. The hag however had already dropped back down into the waters, hiding once more. "Tsh" Megir hissed as she moved slowly, searching for the wretched hag. "I know you're there. Why are you hiding? Surely you aren't hiding from me?"

The hag burst forth once more, arms spread out wide as it tried to tackle the half orc. Only Megir was ready this time. Burying her ax into the right shoulder. However it didn't seem to slow the hag down any. As she went in for a second attack, another hag erupted from the murk behind her. "Well I think I'm in trouble." She muttered as she was pulled under once more. Megir was down in the black waters for only a few seconds when she exploded with a head in one hand and her short sword in the other."Now, where did the other hag go with my ax?" She had almost forgotten tha hags traveled in groups of three.

Stodan Magnus, with Megir in the marsh outside of Kaladorei

"Swamps!" Stodan hissed with his nose curled up. "Yuck gross bugs." Walking on his tip toes, trying to keep as little of the mud from touching his boots as possible. Dark eyes fell to his arm as something crawled up on his elbow. Wide eyed, the thin man took off running. Not a single step sank into the marshy waters. Screaming on the top of his lungs as he went. "Spiders! Spiders! Ewh ewh nasty"

Stodan complained like a pansy as he danced away from moss coated trees and cringed any time a bug flew near. Coming up behind the orc just as she asked about the other hag. "Oh my, scary orc. Don't eat me!" He teased. As the hag came up between them. Letting out a most unbecoming scream, Stodan took a few scampered steps back. Flailing his arms as he moved. "Nasty, it's covered in slime!"

The hag didn't have time to attack as bony hands came up out of the water and ripped the hag into pieces. Stodan paled as his legs wavered. "I'm going to faint." He said trying not to gag. One boneybhand remained holding the head up for someone to grab. It was the only proof left of what just happened.

"Orc." He said between gags. Placing two fingers to his lips as if about to hurl. "How do I get to town in one piece?" With that he started to fall backwards only to have a bone arm. Shoot up and catch him. "Oh thank you Mevlin. Or are you Marcus?" Righting himself once more, Stodan looked to the orc and waited

Combat was something that all orcs took very seriously. Didn't matter if they were half or full. So when the rail of a man came out complaining about the bugs and mud, she couldn't believe what was going on. He even had the nerve to call her scary. Well, it wasn't the first time someone said that. But why was this ball bag way out there? An even better question is how did he stop himself from sinking into the yuck? Wait, that would be a question for after combat. Before she could worn the man about the dangers he was now in, another hag burst forth. However skeletal arms extended from the dark waters to rip it to shreds.

Megir stood there dumb struck. Were did the undead come from? And they left just as quickly. Surely this man didn't call them forth? She was just about to dismiss that option when a bony hand stopped the stranger from falling. Her jaw dropped. He came all the way out here with skeletons. Yet he was worried about moss, bugs, and slime. "Can I have that head?" She finally asked in disbelief. Holding out a hand to take it for the reward. Hoping that the stranger didn't want to fight for it But that was two heads. Now they would need a third to be finished with the task.

The half orc was solid built. All lean muscle and sinew. She stood 5'6. Short for an orc but about average for a human. Her skin was also a brighter green than normal with shorter tusks than most orcs. Her pumpkin hair was another unusual characteristic for an orc. Not that most people noticed the differences.

"There is also another hag somewhere. So if you don't want to end up splashed or dunked I would suggest heading back to where you came from." It would be a shame if the man got hurt. Although he proved capable, he still presented himself as a pansy. Making her feel obligated to make sure he got out of the marsh safe. God's she hated playing babysitter. Especially for pretty boy stuff shirts like him.

She herself was coated with swamp water and tendrils of algae. The first round of combat had left her in need of a bath. Possibly needing new boots as well. Surely the smell would never come out of the leather. "Unless you think you can locate the last hag quickly?" The last hag was probably controlling the other two. That would make her even stronger with a bit of magic of her own to use. Only in the swamps have were a master of hiding. They could disappear in the shallowest of pools then pop back up in completely different areas a few feet away.

From behind them the water started to bubble as the ground heaved back and forth. As if something was making its way up from under the mud. First the tip of a black wing popped up. Then a red talon. Slowly a lesser demon made its way out of the muck. Standing 6'5 and built like a brick. Only a hag mother had the power to summon a lesser demon. Yet there it stood. something that she couldn't take out alone. This also meant she wouldn't be able to stop the hag mother alone either. Asking for help or to team up would mean less coin but she didn't see what choice there was at this point.

Her green skin paled a degree as she brought her weapons up to the ready. This wasn't a fight she had expected and wasn't ready. Her boar still not able to add in the fight with it's feet stuck in the soft ground. "So... Want to team up for this one?" She asked, not taking her eyes off the demon. "Or I can try and hold this while you find the hag? Kill her and the demon should disappear." Thankfully her years of of taking on any job available had left Megir well experienced. This wasn't her first time going up against a lesser demon or a hag. It was however her first time going up against a hag mother.

The town's silent afternoon was disturbed when a loud thudding noise could be heard approaching. People had been scared of being kidnapped by the hag for these past few days so the street was unusually empty save for a few guards patrolling about. Hearing the mechanical noise, the guards immediately raise their spear as the figure clad of- made of steel stopped in front of them. An impressive round golem made of steel, standing tall at 10 feet and poses thick wide arms.

"Who are you? State your business!!" One of the guards barked, he didn't expect the reply to come in the form of a small figure with squeaky raspy voice who emerged from the golem's back. A goblin.

"Thorinn is tired. Thorinn wants to ask about the nearest inn around."

"Ah, a guest! Apologize my rudeness, we're a bit on edge these days." After realizing the golem wasn't a threat the guards lower their spear and were unexpectedly chill. They told the goblin the direction of the inn before waving him goodbye.

"Nice lads. Thorinn like." The goblin muttered to himself before ushering the golem to carry him to the inn.

High up the branches of an alder tree, Ciara giggled to herself. It was about time someone came to take care of those ugly old hags. She often had played with a group of children from the nearby town, but most of them had been taken now, and the others were being imprisoned by their own parents to keep them safe. It stung her pride even more that the young humans she had been fond of had disappeared from right under her nose. She wanted revenge, but she wasn't going to get it by running blindly into the forest and getting herself killed. Though it certainly seemed to be working for these two oddballs that had shown up.

Pulling her snow white hair back into a pony tail that trailed down her back, she pulled her kitsune mask down over her face. If she wanted revenge, she needed to do something other than sit there and watch these adventurers get killed by that demon thing. Her legs hung off the side of the branch where she sat, idly kicking with excitement. Her two fluffy fox tails wagging lazily. She let out a low whistle, drawing the attention of the demon away from the green muddy orc woman.
"Well aren't you one big ugly son of a bi-" Her words cutting off with a squeak of surprise as the demon threw a rock the size of her torso at her with unfair ease.

Ciara flailed her arms in a momentary panic as she leaned backward and fell off the branch just before the projectile made it explode into kindling. As she fell she began to chant, her tails rubbing against each other. Sparks gathering between her fingertips. Upside down with the ground fast approaching, she points a finger imperiously at the demon. "Bang" A flash of light and a boom filled the air with smell of ozone as a streak of violet lighting shot from her hand. It burned through one of the demon's wings. Her aim had been off. She had just enough time to swear loudly before she hit the swamp head first and sank down to her waist.

Upon hearing the whistle, Stodan turned to look and see who or what it was. "Oh pretty." He said clapping as the woman made a streak of lightning light up the air. The enthusiasm quickly died as the cat sun down into the much. He cringed at the sight, just thankful it wasn't him. "And that can't be good." He hissed. But what to do? he couldn't help the woman and attack the lesser demon. "Um well at least your not a bug. Or a hag. They give me the heebie jeebies." Stodan mused. Then a thought came to him.

" Mevlin, MEVLIN! get that nice cat err fox woman thing out of the mud please." Since he was leaving it up to his skeletons to pull the woman out of the marshy mud, He turned to face the demon. "Hello demon thing. I'm really sorry to have to do this to you." Placing both hands together he made the shape of a bowl. A greenish bean shot forth from his hands. For a second it looked like the life was being sucked from the demon as his flesh shriveled.

The beam didn't last that long as he lost his concentration to stay on top of the much and started sinking. Instantly the bean was interrupted but the demon didn't look like he was doing so good at this point. Almost like his muscles had been deflated. "GROSSS" Stodan started to cry as tears streamed down his face. "I've got mud up to my knees!" Not having the energy to recast the spell be just stood there. "Mevlin help me next!" Stodan whined.

The human was beyond strange to her. How could someone with a skeleton be so upset over bugs and grime. However she didn't have the time to contemplate the man or his issues as there was still a standing demon and a hag somewhere. She was sure the place would light up with the necromancer and the fox, but she had to give it a try. Rangers had a way of finding hiding objects or even people. As she chanted she headed straight for the demon. By the time she was in striking range, she stopped the hag.

"The last hag is behind that knotted tree to the right." Megir said, pointing off in a direction. Meanwhile she brought her ax down first on top of the demon then thrusted her shorts word forwards. The ax buried into the demons shoulder but he caught the blade in his hand. The demon started to waver as it began to sink into the swampy waters. Megir was able to pull her ax free but the demon wouldn't let go of her blade.

Planting a foot to it's chest, she pulled with all her might as she started to sink as well. Finally, just as she thought the demon would take her and the blade with it, the blade came free. Slicing the fingers off that hand as it faded away. "Kill the hag." Megir reiterated pointing in its direction. Hiding behind the tree. While she who was now stuck worked to get herself free of the mud that held her in place.

Ciara flails in the mud, not entirely sure what is happening but fairly certain she is imminently in danger. Her legs kick until she feels something grabbing at her ankle. The fingers felt thin, hard, and cold, buy hey they were pulling her out. Her mask had done its job and kept most of the muck and grossness from her face and airways. Thankfully her ears had folded down just before impact as well. Her hair had obtained a new dye job though, and the smell burned her sensitive nose.

She sits down, catching her breath. Apparently light enough to not sink back down. She looks around to reorient to the situation. First and foremost finding the demon and confirming someone else was handling it, and that it was not about to smash her into paste. She looks up and around again for her savior.
"Hey thanks but I totally had everythi-IIIIEEK!" Her cool and controlled tone turning into a shrill scream as she noticed the undead, both of her tails puffing up like bottlebrushes. The skeletal fingers still clutching at her ankle. She screams again, very much like a little girl, and shakes her leg wildly until it lets go and she can crawl away from it.

Her ears perk and swivel as the Orc shouts something about a hag. She looks over that way to see the woman point over at a tree and shout about killing the hag. A mischievous grin spreads across her face. She starts to shake her tails, puffs of glittering purple dust coming from them until a veritable cloud surrounds her. Holding out her palm, fingers outstretched, the cloud swirls down into a small bright ball. She grabs it, hopping to her feet and winding up her arm to pitch the little light directly at the tree. This time her aim on point as the ball explodes against the tree. A detonation of glowing purple glitter blanketing everything in that area. Ciara's smile stretches wider as she snaps her fingers, the glitter once more swirling and coalescing, only this time plastering itself to the form of the old hag. Half the cloud swirling angrily around her like a swarm of bees, getting in her eyes, nose, and mouth. The hag's form now magically silhouetted easily through even the most solid of objects.
"Lets see you hide from that!"

Stodan Magnus, with Megir and Ciara in the marsh outside of Kaladorei

This was perfect. Now that he was a mess he wanted to kill something. Anything. And that hag would do. "Be nice to Mevlin. He's trying to help you." Stodan said in a very matter of fact tone. "Besides, he's my favorite." The skeleton didn't go far from the woman. It stayed close just in case she needed more help.

As a bug landed on his face he let out a shrill cry, swatting at the flying pest. "Get it off get it off me now!" His feet now squished as he danced up and down. "Okay.." He took a deep calming breath before looking to the hag. "You are absolutely lovely my dear. Astonishing really. Sorry you must come to an end like this." Placing his hands together, his eyes started to glow a purplish color. Chanting softly as his hands worked through a few signs.

The corpses of everyone who were killed started to rise. One by one they made their way to the hag. Slowly pulling and clawing at her body. "Oh no, can't watch this part." Stodan turned his head and closed his eyes. The skeleton placed a bony hand over Ciara's face as if to save her seeing what was happening. "Please don't look my dear. You don't really want to see this."

The dead was rising to act out their vengeance against a hag. It wasn't long before her screams died down and only a head was left sitting on top of a pile of bones. "Thank you my friends. I hope you all can rest in peace now." He said softly, making his way over to collect the head. "Now then. The hags are dead. The demon is dead. Can someone please tell me how I get out of this godforsaken swap? I'm filthy, it's icky, and I really want to moisturize." He whined. Swatting at a few more bugs that got too close.

Megir was finally able to free herself from getting dragged down into the mud by the demon. Thankfully combat seemed to be over. "Gorge how are you doing?" She asked checking all her injuries before starting for the last head. "May I take that head as well? Wouldn't mind taking you back to town with me if you do." Looking over to Gorge then back to the human. "The boar even said you can ride him so you don't get any more dirt on you." Not that the boar was any cleaner at this point.

Looking over to the Kitsune, she inclined her head. "Thank you. Are you in need of any assistance still?" Megir was willing to help anyone as long as she got the coin from killing the hags. It was going to be the only way to replace the boots and pay for a room for a bit. Plus get the supplies she needed. She still had a long ways to travel.

"I feel like after fighting together I should introduce myself. Megir of the Blood Fist Clan." Although she was only half-orc she still claimed clan title. Leading the boar over to the human she lightly dusted off the back. "Your ride is ready." The boar let out a snort causing Megir to chuckle. "Don't be rude. He probably can't help it." She said trying to stifle her laughter. "Anyways, I'm not hanging around here for long. So come on if your coming."

Turing her golden eyes to the Kitsune. "Your welcome to join us. I don't know if you're going to town or not. But I'm sure you don't want to stay in the swap. Who knows what else is out here." It was true. All kinds of things lived in the swamps. Snakes, gators, leeches. Things that she didn't even want to deal with on a regular basis. Thankfully town was only a short trip away and then it's a room and a hot bath for her.

The fox girl watched with glee while the bedazzled hag was torn to shreds, or at least she wanted to. In all the excitement she had promptly forgotten about the skeleton in lieu of more pressing dangers. She remembered it quite clearly however as its bony fingers wrapped around her face and she let out a shrill scream as she flailed her arms to get it off of her. Hopping to her feet to edge away from the corpse, standing neatly and without issue on the surface of the swampy muck. To her annoyance it followed her. Of course once the hag was finished off though, she had nothing better to occupy her attention and ended up playing a game of tag running circles around the trees while the undead servant chased after her until the order to stop keeping her safe makes it through its exposed skull. By which point Ciara is once again half way up a tree, bear hugging its trunk to keep out of reach of anything else that may decide to not stay dead like nature intended.

The Violet eyed fox girl's ears twitch as the orc addresses her. Clearing her throat, she readjusts herself. Now sitting cross legged horizontally on the trunk of the tree, the laws of gravity apparently forgotten entirely. She shakes her head and pulls her mask up to the side. "You have nothing to thank me for. It is you who have helped me avenge the young souls who once brightened my days. I owe you a debt of gratitude, I think. Not only for this either. Many of the villagers think that I was the one who spirited away their children. I will accompany you." Her words calm and formal, somewhat at odds with the youthful nature of her appearance. Like a teenager desperately trying to act like an adult.

"You may call me Ciara." She says, standing up and checking for any signs of anything that may potentially reach to grab her again. She flips once off the tree and back onto the muddy bog below.
"Besides, I very much would like a hot bath after this horrid place and the only hot spring nearby is a good half a days hike further than the village."

"Huh, it doesn't fit." Thorin watched as his golem trying to duck under the door frame to enter the inn, but it was no use. The door was simply not designed to be passed by someone or something this tall. It's regrettable, but Thorin was quite used at this by now. Back in the dwarven settlement he was in, the place was always spacious despite the dwarf's short stature so his golem didn't have any problem traveling. His mentor said that this was because the dwarfs like to make their architecture looke unnecessarily grandiose so they can show it off to the outside world.

"Kindle, you stay here." Thorinn commanded the golem, which nodded obediently. The goblin then entered the establishment and was greeted by the smell of warm soup. Just like most inns for commoner, the first floor of the building was turned into a tavern while the sleeping rooms were placed on the second floor. It was a large room filled with chairs and tables, though there's not much customers currently. Only a few old men playing cards in one of the corner. After ordering room and dinner for himself, Thorinn sat down on one of the chair and put his backpack on the table. Really, he was glad this town didn't make a fuss of him being a goblin, or that he was dragging around a golem. In a lot of town he was usually interrogated before they even allow him in, and he noticed this had become more frequent the more he walked to the north.

"Your foods, sir..." The barmaid came carrying a bunch of foods and put it on the table. Cakes, soups, meats, fruits. Thorinn's table soon looks like a feast and the goblin ravenously eat every single foods while letting out occasional chuckle like a madman.

Stodan Magnus, with Megir and Ciara in the marsh outside of Kaladorei

As Megir offered the mount, Stodan was quick to jump on, Even if the creature seemed less than pleased. As long as his boots weren't in the mud, he was happy. "To Town! " He ordered pointing a finger in the wrong direction as they went. His dark eyes danced over to the kitsune and smiled softly. "Melvin would never hurt you. Skeletons are one of the most honest creatures you will ever encounter. Never really understood the fear of them myself." His voice calm and level as he spoke. That was until a mosquito landed on his arm and he started to flail about.

Thankfully the walk didn't take horribly long. As soon as they found more solid ground, Stodan hopped off the back of the boar and started walking once more. No skeletons around. All had been unsummoned. "OH Right names. Call me Stodan the marvelous, magnificent, RADIANT!" As if anyone would really call him all that. "Oh and orc, I don't mind if you have the heads. But I want to be repaid for getting your but out of the frier.

"I simply love the rustic look to the place." He said as they walked into the town. Looking over the builds with his nose turned up. The town was nicer than he and expected overall. With lavishing fruit trees and well-maintained buildings and walls. "Off to the inn I go high ho high ho..." He sang almost skipping off. Stodan paused as he looked at the large golem standing just outside. "Not fully to my liking but." He pulled out a card and stuck it to the creature. "If you are ever looking for a new line of work, look me up." With that he headed on in. Yes, he was sure there were nasty looks heading his way. He smelt bad. But it was nothing that a warm bowl of stew and a hot bath couldn't fix.

She didn't like the idea of sharing her coin but the man had a point. There was no way she could have done it all on her own. "Very well. I will pay you both once the heads are turned in." Thankfully it wasn't going to take too long to get back to town. However having the pansy with them did seem to make the trip last a bit longer than it should. The waning sun now set low in the sky as they finally returned. Thankfully Stodan hopped off her boar some time back. Gorge didn't like coming all the way into towns. And the skeletons were gone too.

She looked to Ciara then to Stodan. "I guess this is were we part way. I'm going to turn in the heads. If you meet me at the inn later I will have your coin." With that she turned and headed off to the town hall. 15 silver per head or 5 gold for all three. This was going to be a great hall. Even if she had to give some of it over to the others, Megir would still have enough for proper riding mounts, supplies, and everything else needed to head further north.

Once to the town hall, she dropped the head on the floor. "I'm here for my reward." Her eyes fixed on the town's mayor, who had offered the reward in the first place. "Oh... well.. no. You got the heads but there is a bit of a problem." He said already back pedaling. Like most he was going to try and cheat her out of the money she earned. "I offered that a week ago. The reward has expired. But. seeing how you went out of your way I can give you 5 silver." The mayor said with a sly grin.

"The problem is that won't get me my new boots after tracking down the hags or the supplies I need. I want the 5 gold for all three heads. At the very least 15 silver per head." The mayor looked nervous as Megir took a step forward. "Now don't make me call the guards. I'll tell them you attacked me." She simply snorted at the threat. "You would be dead if I attacked you. Now I want my money or you will be extremely sorry you round, over indulged, bottom feeder." She took another step in his direction only to her him squeal out.

"Great, another pansy." Megir moaned. As he handed her the she quickly turned to leave. Although she didn't show it. It hurt that she was always treated so harshly. Especially when it came to collecting bounties. Most if the time being short changed. At least she got enough to get some of the thing she needed and pay the others. Quietly she made her way to the inn. Her boots squished. Still filled with mud and swampy waters. Her outfit was covered in moss and slime. A hot bath was calling.

As she walked into the inn, Magir paused, looking for the two she had met in the swampy marsh outside of town.

Ciara waved Megir off with a smile but did not go to the inn with the necromancer. In fact as soon as their backs were turned she was simply no longer there. She had a score to settle with the mayor. That treacherous snake who pointed a finger at her when people started to go missing. After everything she had done for this town. After everything she had done for him. He had tried to dispose of her.

When the mayor returned to his office and shut the door, it locked itself. It wouldn't unlock when he tried either.
"Have a seat Mr. Mayor, we have so very much to discuss." A sweet silvery voice asked politely from behind him. It sent shivers up his spine and made him jump, whirling on the spot.
"Y-you! How did you get in here? Get out, I will call the guards!" He stammered angrily, sweat breaking out on his forehead.
"Let us not waist time. Feel free to yell as much as you want, no one will hear you outside this room."
Apparently the man didn't believe her until he had spent a good five minutes pounding on his door and yelling noisily. Finally he seemed to run out of steam, slumping against the door. "What do you want. I'll see a wanted poster with your face on it for this."
"Oh but don't you remember? You already tried that." She holds up a wanted poster with a drawing of her fox mask on it, a five gold reward listed for her head. Wanted for the murder and kidnapping of a list of villagers. "I don't suppose you were too happy when you found out I changed them, were you? Wanting the actual monsters responsible to be caught was not so very high on your priorities, now as it?"
The man looks away with a snarl, "I don't know what you are talking about."
"Oh yes, yes you do. We had a bargain, a contract. A decade of prosperity and good fortune. You thought getting rid of me would keep the blessing in place after the time is up."
"You have no right! I have worked hard for this town. I won't let you take it away from me!" He yells at her, charging suddenly at the table. But her form disperses like mist as he tries to tackle her, falling over his desk as she appears again standing over him.
"I wasn't going to take what you've done with your own hands. But what have you really done on your own? Either way, you have broken our pact." Her voice turning to a growl. As the man sits up from the floor he finds himself face to face with her mask as she slowly pulls it away.
His screams are heard by no one, his body never to be found, and no signs of a struggle to be seen.

When Ciara turns up at the inn she looks surprisingly clean. Additionally her fluffy ears and tails are gone, as is her mask. Her hair a shiny raven black and eyes icy blue now as she looked around until she catches site of the necromancer and the orc. She couldn't have entered more than a minute or two after Megir stomped her way in. Making her way over to the table where the man was apparently enjoying a bowl of stew. She plops down happily and sets a bag on the table that clinks with the unmistakable sound of coin. Grinning at both Megir and Stodan.
"I had a chat with the Mayor about the misunderstanding, and all the stuff the three of us went through, and he felt so bad that he decided to pay full price for the bounty for each of us! Neat huh?" She dumps the bag upside down, fifteen gold coins spilling out onto the counter.
"Drinks are on me."

" How much ?! Maaaan this isn't possible, I only drank two of those, not fouuur ? So if I pay this then you owe me two more pints !" A loud voice interrupted pretty much every low voice conversation in the in. The 6 feet tall man, clearly drunk, was leaning against the bar, his face arboring a half amused smile. The keeper didn't look so pleace with the on going bargain, but the customer's attitude was a bit pushy, and despite being drunk, Nate looked like he knew what he was saying, his one eye showing a lot of self confidence. He emptied his current pint and loudlyset it back on the counter, eying the keeper, and let a few copper coins fall with it.
" Come on man, that's not what you owe me, that's barely enough for 3 pints and yo-" The keeper threwat nate, his voice was getting angry and nervous because, as a matter of fact, he now doubted how much this man owed him for real.
" So ! We agree on three then ?" The drunk man's mind was still sharp, and his question came as the keeper wasn't even finished talking.
" No ! I mean... Maybe... How much did you even drink yet ?" Again the keeper showed he was getting nervous, and slowly losing his confidence.
" I had 2 I'm telling you, so if that's for three, and it is, please serve me my last, duely owed pint of this wonderful ale of yours !" Nate cheered, his upper body slightly rocking sideways in a very drunk fashion as he bumped his empty cup against the wooden counter. The keeper hesitated for a moment, but eventually he just sighed and grabbed the empty pint. Nate cheered some more as his glass was filling up with more fresh ale, and once he got it, he smiled and gave a clumsy bow at the keeper, almost spilling his cup. " Thank you good siiir, now fate ordains that dearest friends must part, so I shall now be on my way"

Right as he turned away Nate had a much more sober and malicious smirk on his face, the happy smile of someone who got away with a nice discount. Being drunk wasn't an act, after his 4 pints he was starting to really feel the alcohol, but he could always make it look even worse. As he stumbled his way away from the bar, he tripped over someone's chair, and barely managed to keep standing. On the way though, his cup moved too quickly, and he spilled a few drops right on top on the person whose chair almost caused him to fall.Totally oblivious to his own misdeeds Nate continued on his way to an empty table somewhere in a corner.
" You ain't got nothing for me AND you didn't even apologize ! What a heartless brute " A smaller, child's voice echoed and stopped him dead on his track. A small fairy was sitting on his shoulder, up until now it had not been visible but now there it was, holding onto the human's ear, clearly pulling on it in a scolding manner.
" H-hey hey hey ! Apologize for what ?" As he turned around, Nate spotted a wet scalp, some foam mixed with hair just 2 feet away from him. His eye opened wide in surprise as he realized the table had an orc, a cute young woman and a regular man sitting together. The little creature made the first move, as it flew lightly, right in front of Stodan, and flew stationary in front of his face, wings buzzing like some big bug.
" I'm sorry for my friend, he's just a drunk brute ! "
" Hey I'm no brute don't go over dramatic now Elre ! " Nate leaned against their table, actually taking a seat right beside Ciara. " But I'm sorry yeah, I mean your chair almost tripped me over but I guess that's just bad luck's fault, right ? I'll buy you a drink for that if you let me, also I can get your hair nice and clean, easy as that" Nate said in a theatrical way, snapping with one hand. " Name's Nate by the way, and that's Elre !"

The small dragon, just a hair bigger than a draft horse, sat in the tall grasses. The only time she was ever a dragon anymore was when she was unconscious. So usually when she was sleeping. It wasn't always easy to find a hiding place in the grasslands. Instead she would nestle down into the tall grass and hope not to be spotted. Even being a small dragon made her a target. Everyone wanted to kill dragons for their bones, organs, and treasures. Not that she had any treasures. An eye slowly opened as the sounds of riders approached. Did they already see her?

Quietly she shifted back to her human form. Let them kill her as a human. Her body wouldn't shift back if she was dead and they would get nothing. The song dragon was the only dragon that could truly shift at will. It was also one of the smallest dragons once full grown. She herself was getting close to 400 years old. Motionless, she lay in the grass still as if asleep. They would only see a white haired woman.

aaddca7c0d1b7247418b38b6d5aca69c.jpgJust as she sure they would come at her, the riders were gone. Her heart hammered in her chest. Yes, she could take off in dragon form. But if they were hunters then they might have winged mounts as well. And as much as she would hate to admit it, she wasn't a match for a drake or some of the other lesser intelligent dragon like creatures. So that left her with only one real choice. Standing up she started walking. Trying to keep an eye out for any who were heading her way. If any asked she was simply a bard that lost her way. Nothing more. "I need that barrier down." She hissed softly to herself. More determined now than ever. It wasn't fair that her kind was hunted. Especially after the past kings had made oaths that dragons wouldn't be treated like mindless animals anymore. With the new king however that wasn't the case.

It was fully dark by the time Koran reached the outskirts of the town. A chill had settled in the air, but the tall, muscular man wasn't the least bit cold- despite not wearing any clothes. His dark amber eyes studied the sight before him- a few scattered farms nestled comfortably just ahead, and behind them buildings started getting closer and closer together. Many were dark, but some were still lit with a soft glow of light.

No wall. No wall because they believed they were safe behind their barrier. Even the air smelled at peace- like this land hadn't known true war and death in generations. A malicious smirk pulled on the corner of Koran's mouth. Tonight they would be in for a very harsh dose of reality. They were no longer safe- and unfortunatly for them, Koran was the one bringing them the news.

He took a piss on a tree, then hung his bag up in the branches against the trunk. Reaching up, he pulled the tie out of his shoulder-length dark brown hair that had been keeping it out of his face, and tucked the tie into a pouch in his bag. His heart rate began to accelerate as he left the cover of the trees and began walking toward the nearest farmhouse, an all too familiar tension building in his muscles. The Beast was beyond restless- it was hungry, fighting to be released. It had been far too long since he'd allowed it out. Koran almost felt sorry for the poor suckers that happened to be in his path- almost.

Stodan Magnus, with Megir, Nate, and Ciara , at an inn of Kaladorei

"Oh Ciara my dear you are fabulous!" Stodan cheered with a smile. The smile quickly fading as he realized her hair was now black. The white hair was enchanting but the black hair was absolutely radiant. "You've... changed." He said with the tilt of his head. "It's not a bad change. You look very striking like that my lady. " A hand reached out to touch her silken hair then stopped an inch away. "May I?" He asked before closing the gap to touch her.

The drink spilled on him causing his eyes to darken a degree. His jaw flexed with anger. He was about to make someone pay. That was if Ciara hadn't been there. Yes, he threw a fit in the marsh. But someone spilling their beer was unforgivable. "Oh my what a mess. At least it's not mud." Play off his anger. Trying to keep control of himself. Although he was still coated in mud as well.

Stodan gave a big goofy grin as the fairy flew into his face. "Of course he's a drunk fruit. I mean brute. Why else would he be so rude." He looked to Ciara with a wink. Picking a fight in such company would be in bad taste. Thankfully the other man and his bug started it. "So if you don't mind, I don't care for talking bugs so you can go now."

No that was rude as well. Stodan sighed as his body visibly shivered. How he hated bugs. Pixies or fairies for that matter weren't much better. It was hard enough not to scream out with the flying pest in his face. Thankfully his anger over the beer outweighed his fear of the bug fairy. That and he already made a spectacle of himself enough back in the marsh. "Forgive my rudeness Ciara."

She had only been standing in the doorway for a moment when Ciara walked in and dumped out a bag of gold. Well, kudos for her being able to get all the money she wanted. It didn't occur to Megir was going to share until the woman started to speak. Making her way over, she took a seat at the table, joining Stodan and Ciara. "Missing something?" She asked, noticing the tail and ears were now gone. If only she could hide so easily. That would be nice. "To heck with drinks. What about a new pair of boots? I'm never going to get the filth out of these." She said with a tusky grin.

Golden eyes shifted just in time to see a man spill his ale on the necromancer. Who as of yet has not shown any signs of a backbone. A brow lifted as she leaned back and crossed her arms expecting some kind of fight to break out. A fight that she really really didn't want to be part of. Only to her surprise, the drunk and what seemed to be a fairy stopped to apologize. Thinking that was the end of it, she started to turn her attention to the kitsune once more. "So, about the boots? A gold piece would do."

She hardly had time to start talking when Stoden opened his mouth. Now this was getting interesting. The waist of a man was picking a fight with the drunk? Now she didn't see this coming. The entertainment value alone was worth hanging around for. But she was done fighting today and didn't want to stay for the male posturing. "I'm going to go shower." She sighed looking back to Ciara. "Drop my coin off at room 3 upstairs."

Standing she gave everyone a slight bow. Then turned to head up the stairs. Her boots swishing with every step she took. There were a few snickers at her unkempt state but no one spoke out. A wise decision to make. Megir wasn't in the mood to deal with anyone. She simply wanted a shower and rest. Stopping only to toss a few silver at the innkeeper. Yes, that bathhouse had her name all over it. That would be her next stop
