Title: Endless Night

Game: Stars Without Number Revised, CITM Discord Server

Player Count: 5

Description:
The year is 3200, 600 years since the Scream, the supernatural event that crippled the Terran Mandate and sent civilized space into turmoil. Millions of people died, and things were dark for hundreds of years, but many civilized sectors have recovered. Many planets in Eurynoc Delta, the sector where our story takes place, have recovered to a level where flying between the stars is a regularity again, and the sector has once again come alive with humanity.

With that reinvigorated freedom comes reinvigorated tensions. Without the Mandate to keep the peace, new factions have formed. Planets, corporations, and pirates are all in a mad race to carve out a bit of space for themselves and come out on top in the process. Skilled people are in high demand.

Our heroes will be the crew of a free merchant, a type of armed freighter suitable for many different types of tasks. They'll have to take many different jobs on many worlds to keep the ship running and the crew fed. Their adventures will take them across the entire sector.

More Info:
The game will be more sandboxy than your average D&D 5e game on CITM. There are many different locations to go to and explore, and the game could move to any one of them as it unfolds. Things will lean more heavily on where players want to go, but there will still be plot threads and storylines to follow.

System Info:
Stars Without Number is a sci-fi game built on the OSR (OD&D) framework, with a bit of Traveler thrown in. As such, people who only know D&D 5e will recognize many key concepts, and things should make sense pretty quickly. It will feel different, however. Fights are more lethal, skills are more reliable, and above all it’s in space. If you’re interested in reading a bit and seeing if it’s for you, the game is free, and you can pick up a copy at Drivethru RPG or anywhere else.

Character Creation:
Since I’m assuming most people won’t know the system, we’ll walk through it together once things form up. Feel free to start thinking about concepts if you want though.

Feel free to PM me with questions.
