<img src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/p__/images/b/ba/Leanbox_Concert_Stage.png/revision/latest?cb=20140410191320&path-prefix=protagonist&key=956cc94ad8b6dd3b7739ab624eafecb683716c8f2d5dc4df754ea0a095077e20" class="ipsImage" alt="latest?cb=20140410191320&path-prefix=pro" />Death City had been in a hullabaloo all day long as people prepared for the coming concert. All the adults had been whining. No one wanted to put up with screaming, partying teenagers all night and unfortunately for them, all of their complaints were overruled as the youth actually composed a majority of the city. Death Weapon Meister Academy was to blame for that, no doubt. Most of the city’s residents were students there. However, despite some complaints, set up was going well for the event of the night. Lorelei Wagner had been running around all day and she seemed to be the main person in charge of keeping things running smoothly. Flyers posted throughout the square also named her as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the night. Apparently they were trying to make this concert as unique as possible. After all, there wasn’t usually a mistress or master of ceremonies at a simple concert. No one imagined students would complain as long as they got to hear good music though. Neither one of the bands were on stage yet although no one seemed to be panicking over them so it could be assumed that the various members were running around somewhere or other. There was a stand off to the side selling t-shirts for both featured bands of the night. No doubt they were incredibly overpriced. On the other side of the square there was a small concession stand set up. It seemed they had popcorn, various sodas, cotton candy and pretzels with cheese along with the customary grilled foods that were terrible to eat. The food had been supplied by the DWMA and there was a sign hanging from the table that advertised discounted prices with a student ID. @Chibii @Sunbather @Zenaida @Keanehandiam @Ariettie @Refaulted @Violet Obsidian @AnnoDomini @Arkytior @SummerWolf @Kyra @Stormborn Targaryen @T h e F o o l @Hanarei @Cephalo

She looked much too old to be a student and she was also a face that no one at the academy had ever seen so it was quite clear that she had nothing to do with the academy. That being said, her presence did leave a small amount of curiosity as to why she was there in the first place. Anyone would probably guess she was there for the concert which was reasonable. She glanced over her shoulder briefly, watching the road that led from the academy to the square to see if anyone was coming. Then she glanced at her watch. <em><span style="color:#cc8855;">Well, I suppose the concert doesn’t start for another hour yet. It makes sense for the square to be fairly empty yet. Not for long though…</span></em> And that meant her companion really needed to hurry up. How hard could it really be to pull off a halfway decent disguise? Tiffany shook her head as she held it with one hand before sighing slightly. She didn’t know why she had been stuck with a partner in the first place. The job really wasn’t hard. @Sunbather

Alexander “Xander” Traynor and Alexis “Lexie” Traynor

Lexie made her way to the central square of Death City, her eyes still reddened from the tears she had cried so many times over the past few days. Somewhere along the way, someone had told her she needed to get out and go spend some time with some friends. That was the one and only reason why she was going to the concert. She honestly didn’t think it would help her whole situation a lot, though. Aeryn was gone. And Lexie still couldn’t bring herself to believe what Lord Death had told her about him.

She didn’t stop and look around when she got to the square. She heard someone advertising t-shirts and the first thought that popped into her head was that she would’ve wanted to buy one for Aeryn if he was still a part of her life. He needed more modern themed clothing and a concert t-shirt certainly fit that description. It only made Lexie more saddened. No matter where she went, there were too many subtle reminders that she no longer had a boyfriend. Instead of even trying to enjoy herself, Lexie simply made her way over to a bench along the side and sat down, staring at the cobblestone ground and staring at her feet.

Meanwhile, Xander was peeking around the square from where he stood. He wasn’t in the square because he had no intentions of staying, but he still needed to know what was there for future reference. His eyes took in the few people that were already there although he didn’t know anyone. Briefly, he wondered how many students would actually show up but he shook that thought from his head quickly. Numbers didn’t matter anymore.

Then his eyes fell upon his sister and as much as Xander hated to admit it, he disliked seeing her as sad as she was. Oh well. I’ll be fixing that soon, anyway. Xander shrugged nonchalantly about the matter and was about to turn away. However, something about him really couldn’t. Instead, Xander walked into the square and walked over to his twin sister. He put a hand on her shoulder. ‘You know, he was never any good for you anyway,’ he spoke directly into her mind.

Lexie’s reaction was swift and entirely violent. Her hand swatted Xander’s away faster than would’ve seemed possible of the saddened girl and she screamed through tears in such a way that made her voice sharp and almost painful. “GET. AWAY.”

Xander raised his hands as he jumped back although he said nothing more. He could feel it. He could feel the rage taking over. Only a few more things needed to be done before he would never have to listen to anyone talk to him like that again. Xander turned and made his way out of Death City’s central square as his red wavelength flickered in his hands while he let power wash into them. Pure. Unadulterated. Power.

The dress had its train drag over the bare earth, conjuring a small cloud of dirt. The stains disappeared in its eggplant-colored fabric, though, so that the lanky figure appeared like a bride straight out of the Adam's Family franchise. The legs covered by densely woven tights, and no cleavage, skin appeared to be non-existent. A long scarf, dangling down on the front around naval level, hid the tiny bit of neck that would've shown, and simultanously shielded the lower part of her face. Lastly, the large summerhat wobbled around on the woman's head, its large brim pulled deep into her face, effectively veiling her completely.

The figure seemed to be in a hurry. Plenty of glances were received as she parted the gathering of students, faculty members and simple bystanders, all of which she either ignored masterfully or simply didn't register in her rush. "Sorry. Sorry sorry sorry sorry!" A muffled squeak accompanied her apologies. Her two gloved hands found one another, and she bowed, not unlike a monk or person of similar nature, to underline her sincerity. "It hasn't begun yet, has it?"

Kassana Silverstream

Kassana made her way to the concert grounds. She didn’t exactly know why she was going. Part of her thought Aeryn would’ve wanted her to go along and another part of her had seen Lexie making her way in that same direction and she knew Lexie needed a friend right now. Kassana didn’t know exactly whether or not she could actually fulfill that role of a friend for Lexie, but she had every intention of trying to because both of them had lost something within the past week. They had both lost a person who had become a part of their own being. Although Lexie’s loss was probably a lot greater than Kassana’s, Kassana felt it too.

That being said, Kassana felt a bit bombarded with stuff when she finally arrived at the square and looked around. The t-shirts looked very appealing to her. Kassana didn’t have many clothes that weren’t plain. Looking at them, though, Kassana wouldn’t have known which band to buy a shirt from. She had never heard of either of the bands before. The moon did look kind of cool though.

Before she ever got the chance to buy one, though, Kassana heard Lexie yell out and she saw Xander walking away from her. Although she couldn’t do anything about it, Kassana felt a twinge of wrath towards anger which really wasn’t normal for her. However, there was really nothing she could do about it. After all, she was just a weapon and she didn’t have a meister. What could she possibly do in the first place? Besides, Xander scared her.

Instead, Kassana made her way towards Lexie and she took a seat next to her. “Hey Lexie,” she muttered softly. “We could hang out together if you wanted. I’m hoping to meet some new people and that might be good for you too…”

Miyoko Oromo- Ouraborous

Miyoko's always been a fan of music. The heavy stuff, mostly- rock, metal. Her tastes fit her entire aesthetic; the punk look of her clothes and the brutality of her past leading to an almost cliched affection towards all kinds of heavy music- a hunger for that 'epic' feeling imparted by the true rock ballads, a kinship to the dark rhythm ever present in some of the other artists. There's a hungry gleam in her eyes as she walks towards the site of the concert- and as she drinks in the sights and sounds on the way.

The thrum of an expectant crowd, gathering one by one. So many souls, burning so bright so close together. A low, throaty chuckle escapes her- as she closes her eyes and let's the sounds was hover her as a wall, leaning back and running a ring-adorned hand through her wild, bloody red hair- a grin on her lips that only grows wider as she opens her eyes.

"Time to fuckin' party.. Heh... Hrm?" Her grin shifts to a curious expression- as her eyes drift over towards Kassana and Lexie. She's not the best at reading a situation- but... that one of the two is hurting, and the other is trying to offer comfort, is pretty obvious even to her. She's not sure what passed between the two- why one is sad, how they know each other... and she recognizes Kassana, at least, from that exercise. She stares for a long moment- her smile fading entirely.

She knows full well; she's not the kind of person to have close friends, even if her goals are purely for the sake of others. Even if she's willing to deny her own desires for the sake of the vauge, impersonal concept of 'everyone else'.... she's poor with others. She views herself as a bad person to have in your life- and feels a certain fear of getting close. 'I'll just hurt her if I try anyway..' the thought ghosts across her mind.. 'But..'

She starts to walk towards the two- slapping the usual fake, broad grin on her face- black and white earrings swaying back and forth- the mismatched pair in her ears swaying as she walks.

"Yooo! Kassana! How you been since practice, yo? You ran out all quick n' shit- I was worried! Whose your friend, eh? Hey! You guys want some stuff from the concession stand? I'll pay!" She says brightly- as the decision is made in her soul. She'll try again- she'll try to make friends, and hope she doesn't push them away or hurt them. She'll hope for a warmer, kinder friendship than she's used to- but deep down inside, she knows what'll happen.

Something will go wrong. It has to. Maybe Kassana will just be scared of her, like last time...

Aiko_Selmatu-Banner_zpsbqnor5qt.jpg

Aiko ventured down the road heading to the concert. She had decided to dress up for the event. She wore a shorter blueish-purple skirt. A form fitting pink shirt rested tucked under her skirt with a violet wrapped over her waist. A nice faded yellow jacket sat over her shirt, only partially obfuscating the shirt underneath being kept open, tied together by a small violet ribbon just below her chest. Her hair was left to her side as usual, the ribbon being a violet color instead of its usual shade to match her outfit.

She glanced around making her way through the slowly growing crowd. She could see some fellow students of the DWMA, though she decided against walking up to them. Eh, I'll give them a chance to come up to me if they want the privilege of my company. She couldn't help but notice something was going on, though she still dismissed them away for now venturing more into the crowd. Her eyes curiously glanced around at the people who were around. She hoped she might see Ella again, she couldn't help but find the girl quite entertaining to be around, even with her rot zombie thingy. Truthfully she had forgot just what she had called out, all Aiko could do was think about 'brains' and some old zombie movies she watched when she found out more about it.

She couldn't help but glance over noticing a woman at the concession stand... or more particular two as the other had weaved through the crowd when she had glance away for a moment. She shook her head, dismissing it for now. "No no... not worth wondering. Now... to find a cute guy to flirt with." She spoke pressing her hand on her chin in thought as she shifted to being on the prowl. She hoped to find some guy to tease a little bit, though she wasn't quite certain what kind of guy she was looking for. Aiko was quite keen on playing little games going to such an event, it was the ideal time to just goof around and have some fun.

Jack and Ella

Jack and Kalin neared at Death City’s central square just as a taller male with russet colored hair made his exit. A DWMA student. Jack recognized his face as one of the people present during Fuller’s lesson about soul linking.

He had an interesting name…Dynamo? Dynamite? Something like that.

Violet eyes followed his fellow DWMA student curiously as the russet-haired individual passed him. Jack wondered why someone would bother to show up for a concert if they were going to leave before the music even started. Seems like a waste of time. However, Jack didn’t comment nor give the oddity much thought beyond his initial introspection. It wasn’t really any of his business. Perhaps he’s simply forgotten something. Or has somewhere else he’d rather be.

Taking a moment to adjust his glasses, Jack was able to catch a quick glimpse of red wavelength emanating from the guy’s hand before it vanished from his sight as Jack made sure his spectacles were firmly in place. Concerts were populated events, filled with many souls crowded together, and Jack had no desire to spend his time nursing a migraine. Directing his gaze to the square, Jack stepped in, taking note of the empty stage, flyers, stands, and the small steadily growing crowd before turning to his partner.

“See? Nothing to be worried about” Jack said encouragingly, pleased that Kalin had agreed to come to the End of Summer Concert with him and Ella. The blonde boy was clearly anxious, but, considering that it was his first concert, Jack couldn’t blame his dorm-mate. Kalin hadn’t even known what a concert was! Living with Kalin this past week had given Jack more insight into his partner with regards to his personality, his frugal living standards, his preferences. It was enough for Jack to note that Kalin’s concert attire was slightly less conservative than what he usually wore.

Jack, on the other hand, had dressed for the concert no differently than how he would have for school: a black blazer with a white dress shirt underneath, black pants, checkered patterned tie, and black bowler hat. Every accessory was accounted for including his red hairclips and black earrings. It was the appearance that he’d rolled when he enrolled in DWMA and Jack rather liked it. Especially his hat and tie. Therefore he saw no reason not to wear it.

Standing in the square, near enough to the edge so as not to be lost in the crowd, Jack glanced at his watch. “There’s still plenty of time before the concert starts. Is there anything you want to do while we wait for my cousi--?”

“I’m heeeeeere~!”

superthumb.jpg

Jack looked up in time to see Ella breaking through the crowd and running towards them happily, while holding a cone of pink cotton candy. Along the way, she tripped forward, teared up slightly, then dusted herself off and continued as if nothing had happened. Fortunately the cotton candy hadn’t hit the ground. And Jack didn't see any visible scrapes or bruises.

“You’re early, Spinner.” Jack said when Ella reached them, her cheeks displaying a hint of pink.

“I wanted to see if I could catch sight of some band members while they’re setting up.” Ella replied, though most of her attention seemed to be on Kalin. She leaned forward, fingers under her chin in a thoughtful pose, as she gazed into Kalin’s eyes. Then a smile blossomed on Ella’s face and she giggled, almost bashful-like. “You must be Jack’s partner. Kalin, right~?”

Jack rolled his eyes. “Yes. This is Kalin. Kalin, meet my cousin, Ella Trinity, otherwise known as Stray Spinner. She’s a student in DWMA like us, but in the EAT class.”

“Pleased to meet you,” Ella paused. Then she held out her cone of cotton candy to Kalin, a friendly smile still adorning her features. “Want some?”

Kalin

Kalin felt something was off the moment his eyes met hers. His eyes studied her face, but he could find nothing to explain his innate discomfort. Except her incredible penchant for outward happiness. It was different than Jack's optimism. It frightened him. There was always the possibility that people like this were deranged. He cringed in the slightest as she identified him, taking a tad bit of shelter from her gaze as his face reddened and as Jack introduced him to his...his Cousin?

Kalin had never encountered this mysterious creature before. Sure he had read about cousins in books, but what kind of relationship did this really entail? Was it dastardly? Was it loving? What could he expect from the abundance of unadulterated joy and probable terror? She thrust forward a strange pink cloud on a cone. His eyes widen. What is this? Some sort of foul magic? A trap? A peace offering?
'Pleased to meet me?' Unlikely. The young weapon starts eyeing escape routes as if the foreign item is a bomb.

"U-Uh...My apologies Madam, but I'm not quite sure what that substance is. Would you be so kind as to inform me?" His mannerisms go defensively formal, though his eyes still lay on the cone which he gingerly accepts, flashing an occasional, frightened glance up at Jack. What is this? You said nothing about mortal peril! This was supposed to be fun! I'm either being unforgivably rude, or I'm about to die. Either way I'm going to embarrass everyone that matters. Oh God this is a disaster.

65_oz___wooooo_by_hisayo12-d4aov7d.png

He inhales deeply."I'm sorry, I'm... incompetent and useless, and I-I...." It's a little too much. Kalin tries to flee the situation, cone in hand. He almost immediately trips, falling, but saving the cotton candy. He just sort of stays down there, though. What's the point in getting up? I'm just going to see their faces...and it's going to hurt even more. I was supposed to make Jack look good. That isn't hard. Jack already looks good, not to mention taking a worthless charity case like you.

Ella and Jack

Ella watched as Kalin tripped over himself trying to escape, utterly baffled. “Did I do something wrong?”

Jack repressed a sigh. “No,”

Making his way over to where Kalin had fallen over, Jack helped his partner to his feet. It was funny how Kalin and Ella were so different, but at the same time, strangely similar in their mutual clumsiness. Ripping out a small portion of the pink cloud on a stick that Kalin held, Jack put it in his mouth, letting the sugar melt. “It’s cotton candy. Spun sugar. Completely edible.”

“And it tastes good~” Ella added.

There was also the 'not entirely healthy' aspect, but Jack decided to leave that description of cotton candy unspoken. There would be consequences with completely honesty. At best, he’d get a simple reprimand from Kalin, like his Uncle would if he learned Jack was partaking in too much junk food. At worst, Kalin would have a panic attack thinking Jack would die and that Ella was trying to poison him, which, given his reaction to cotton candy, was entirely possible. As much as he liked gambling, Jack wasn’t willing to take the chance—at least, not until Ella and Kalin got to know each other better. Ella and Kalin were both Jack’s friends and he hated making tough decisions.

Ella, meanwhile, had no idea what was going on, but whether Ella understood or not made no difference. She walked over to Kalin and hugged him anyway. Feelings of incompetence. Feelings of uselessness. Ella could relate. She’d felt the exact way when Kira died. If her family hadn’t been there to support her, if she hadn’t met Jack, Ella might still believe that about herself. “You’re not incompetent. You’re not useless. You’re brave. You’re strong. It’s not your fault.”

Ella repeated the mantra over and over again, patting the smaller boy’s back just like her mother did. She didn’t know how old he was, or why he felt incompetent, or if the mantra would even help any, but she figured if it worked for her, it might help Jack’s partner. Then Ella released her hold and clapped his cheeks, studying his features. “Feeling better?”

Ella giggled and took a step back, not really waiting for a response. Jack watching the entire thing, simply raised his eyebrows. There was no way something that simple would work. “Let’s all of us explore the city square while we wait for the concert to start.” Jack suggested. He reached into the pocket of his blazer and pulled out a 52-card deck. “Find a nice spot to sit and play cards. Maybe we’ll run into someone we know and invite them to join us.”

“Cards? But you always beat me at that!”

“Liar’s dice?”

“No.”

“Zombie dice?”

“Jaaaack…” Ella whined.

Jack winked at Kalin. "Anything you want to do Kalin? I promised you'd have fun if you came with us to the concert, after all."

Kalin

Kalin shook, his face reddening as his partner helped him to his feet, after a sincere apology. How incredibly embarrassing. What had he hoped to accomplish by practically playing dead? No one was trying to harm him, and he only ended up hurting himself... and Jack. Jack always tried to mask it, but Kalin almost always knew. He bit his lip as Jack demonstrated the harmlessness of the sugary confection. Eventually his patience would wear thin of his antics if he wasn't careful. Even saints had limits to their mercy, and he felt like he was pressing his luck. He took a tiny bit of this 'Cotton Candy', putting in it his mouth. He blinked as it melted in his mouth, with an expression of confusion and amazement. Not only that, but it tasted.... "Is...Is it Mag-"

He's suddenly enveloped in a hug, and filled with sweet lies. It's kinda nice. Though he's awfully close to her...well...and her patting of his back forces him to bite his lip to the point where the familiar taste of metallic blood overpowers the pleasant taste of cotton candy. He struggled to maintain a facade of a smile throughout it. Not because of the pain, or discomfort of someone touching his back, but because his embarrassment. Still, he was worried he might have winced the first time her hand brushed the back of his shirt. When she cupped his chin he searched her face for clues, any sign of that wretched pity. That pity that would keep him from reaching his goals, that would destroy any meager amount of trust he could manage to build. Sure he might be a subhuman mutt, but he could do somethings.

"My apologies mam, but there was never anything wrong with me in the first place." Kalin bows his head slightly, Letting them banter for a moment, before interjecting when he thought it was pertinent. "I'm no good at gambling or dice either..." He looked around, spotting the food stands. "I-I know Ella has already been...but..I-I've never had anything like 'Cotton Candy' before...Is there anything else strange like that....to try..if it's not to much...I mean. And then...I won't ask for anything else...or I could do that now...If that's what you want. You didn't have to invite me at all..." He smiles nervously, before reddening further. "You look pretty today." He suddenly adds. He feels like that was something he was supposed to say.

Jason Daniels

Jason had to be honest with himself, the concert was looking good. He honestly couldn't remember the last time he had gone to an event like this. Glancing down at his attire, he supposed that he wouldn't be considered overdressed. A nice crimson button up, covered by a leather jacket he had lying around, some black slacks and a pair of dress shoes. He did look good if you asked him. "Maybe I'll dress like this everyday... But I do like my other jacket..." He glances down at himself again. "...I really like this look though... Ugh. Decisions, decisions." Eventually, after minutes of deliberating on what to do, he decided that he would just worry about it later and, for now, just enjoy himself.

Taking a sweeping glance at the crowd he noticed a few fellow students here and there. From what he could tell, someone was getting comforted by a few others, and there were bunches of students all about simply interacting and enjoying the festivities. What really caught his interest though was Aiko, who seemed to be on the hunt of all things. Tilting his head to the side he pondered on his options. He could walk over and ask what she's doing. He could also not do that. And then the third, and honestly his favorite, option came to mind. He could always surprise her and then find out what's going on. Nodding to himself, he decided that would be the most amusing course of action.

Slipping into the crowd he began to weave his way towards her, a mischievous smirk growing across his face as he did so. As he neared, he slowed his pace a bit and, even though he was literally in a noisy crowd, made sure to be as silent as possible. Once he was practically right behind her, he made his move. Leaning on her shoulders from behind, he put his face right next to hers, his smile as wide as ever. "Heya Aiko! Whatcha lookin' for? Or, I guess, who ya lookin' for? Anyone I know? Anyone interestin'? Hmmm? Hmmmmm?"

Keziah Swan and Warren Langston

Apparently there was some sort of event. Keziah wasn’t entirely sure why she had to go; she certainly didn’t want to be there and she certainly didn’t want to watch Warren make a fool of himself, but for some reason or another, Warren had been insistent that she tag along. He had actually been driving her nuts about it all day long. It had gotten to such a degree that Keziah had agreed to come solely to shut Warren up about it. She didn’t want to listen to him babble on and she figured even she would get some amusement out of preventing him from putting on the show he seemed to believe he’d get to put on.

As the two of them walked down the streets of Death City, it was actually quite an interesting sight. Keziah walked with her usual stoic expression dressed in all black - as usual - and she seemed to be in absolutely no hurry at all to get there. And walking alongside her, Warren looked like he was trying really really hard to pull off a similar persona as his meister. His expression was seemingly well controlled although he walked slightly faster than she did and that alone gave away his internal excitement.

The moment he saw the stage, though, Warren’s excitement betrayed him. His attempt at a contained expression ultimately faded as he smiled brightly and charged forward only to feel Keziah reach out and attempt to snatch him although she ultimately failed because he was just a tad faster. “See that, everyone!?” Warren yelled out as he charged into the center of the concert square. “That’s MY stage!”

Unfortunately for Warren, Keziah caught up to him and grabbed the back of his shirt before he was actually able to reach the stage and jump up onto it. Pulling him back with a significant amount of force, Keziah spun him quickly and then slapped his face hard enough to leave a sound echoing throughout the square. “Idiot!” she yelled at him. “This is a concert you fool! There’s going to be a band on stage! That’s how this works! You’re not a band! You’re just a fool!”

Warren actually was thrown off so much by Keziah’s spin of his body and by her slap on his cheek that he actually fell down, landing flat on his bum with an “Umph!” However, even that didn’t stop his enthusiasm as he quickly sprung back to his feet and waved a hand dismissively at his meister. “Aww… come on! You know I’m gonna be the next Death Scythe, right!? With you as my meister, nothing could go wrong!” Without even waiting for a response, Warren turned and ran towards the stage, pulling a pen out of his pocket as he started offering members of the stage crew his autograph.

Keziah shrugged and huffed before deciding to let him be for now. It’s not like he was causing any harm and she had no intention of accidentally becoming a part of his ‘show’ and making herself look like a fool in the process. Instead Keziah turned and headed towards the concession stands, thinking that if nothing else, buying something to eat would make her look like a normal human being. What she finally settled on was a brat with sauerkraut. She leaned up against the stand casually as she ate it, wondering who else would wander by.

Kassana Silverstream and Alexis “Lexie” Traynor

Lexie turned, still sniffling over the sadness that flooded her, and was entirely surprised to see Kassana standing behind her. She had not expected to see the silver haired girl come anywhere near an event such as this without significant prodding from another person. And the one person who Lexie knew was even capable of convincing Kassana to come to such an event in the first place was the one person who couldn’t possibly have come because he was now locked within the Death Room, trapped for eternity for all Lexie knew. Therefore, the sight of Kassana, while surprising, also brought a hint of a smile to Lexie’s face.

“Hey Kass,” she said. “I never expected to see you here.”

Kassana shuffled nervously, her arm curling around her as she looked around. The more people who poured in, the more uncomfortable she got with the whole ‘being here’ thing and she really even began to consider leaving if Lexie seemed to be doing ok. Lexie had been the only reason Kassana had come in the first place. “Uhm… well… I g-guess I’m ok with it…” the stutter in her voice along with her overall posture truly contradicted her words though.

Lexie smiled - this time a genuine one. There was nothing that could keep her sad when she realized she had unintentionally made a friend. “Sure, Kassana. We can definitely hang out together!” Lexie’s gaze flickered around the square as she wiped a tear out of her eyes. “Uhm… is there anything you want to do?” Lexie really hadn’t had any plans herself.

Kassana’s gaze flickered around, back to the concert t-shirts and she wondered how much it would cost to buy one. Spending most of her time in the library as she did, Kassana didn’t actually use a lot of the living stipend the DWMA gave her so she figured buying one wouldn’t be too out of the question.

Before she could say anything, though, Kassana heard another person approaching them. She turned and saw Miyoko, the meister who she had worked with during the lesson with Professor Fuller. “Uhm… hi M-Miyoko…” Kassana mumbled softly. She was entirely unsure as to whether or not she was ok with being approached by the girl. Their entire previous encounter had left Kassana completely confused. She didn’t understand what had happened when she had let Miyoko in her mind and Kassana hated what she didn’t understand.

Either luckily or unfortunately for Kassana, Lexie knew how to better handle social situations and she turned around, standing up and putting a hand on Kassana’s shoulder before she regarded Miyoko. “Concessions sounds like a great idea!” Lexie actually responded to Miyoko’s question. “I’m Alexis, by the way. Most people just call me Lexie, though and that works too.”

Naia made her way into Death City's Central square, and came to a stop at the edge of the crowd. She looked around at the different signs, particularly one hanging on a table with food. Her feet started to move before her head caught up, and after a few minutes, she found herself standing by the table, looking at the snacks, before her gaze was drawn to the sign. The only things she could actually read off of said sign were the words 'DWMA' and 'Student'. After that, she had no idea what it said. She shrugged it off and wandered away from the concessions, over to one of many flyers not too far away, attempting for the fifteenth time to read what was printed on it. To no avail, as usual.

With another sigh, she turned around and located a bench. She wandered over to it, and sat down with a huff. her eyes canned the crowds, trying to pick out any familiar faces. Her stomach growled after a few minutes, and with a happy look, she returned to the concession stands, eyeing the food. She settled with a pretzel and cheese, payed for it, and moved back to the bench of earlier. She sat down and munched on her pretzel while pondering what to do next until the concert. She was looking forward to said concert. She wanted to see what they considered music here in Death City. If the rumors she'd heard were anything to go by, she had a feeling it was going to be way different from music back home.

Naia settled for people watching, a new hobby she'd gained soon after coming to Death City and the DWMA in hopes to learn more about how to act in this type of place. It wasn't working. Her eyes slid from faces that didn't stand out, to DWMA students she sort of recognized. There was the dice boy Jack, and the blonde haired Kalin, who she recognized from class, alongside another obviously student who she didn't know yet. Vaguely, she wondered where Jack and Kalin's friends, the twin girls and shy one, had gotten to. Her gaze soon shifted, over to the next person who caught her eye. A shy looking girl with white hair, who she again did not know the name of but recognized from the halls. She was speaking with two other girls, and Naia's eyes lingered there for a second, before she continued on.

There was a rather loud boy with red hair trying to give autographs to the workers, and a girl with black hair that had arrived with him. That boy was an interesting fellow. She wondered slightly if that kind of behavior was normal here in Death City, or if it was just him. She assumed it was just him, as she hadn't seen anyone else act like that. Her people watching continued, as she continued to wait for the concert, slowly eating her pretzel and cheese in the mean time. The people here in Death City could be quite amusing at times, she'd learned that in the few days she'd been attending the DWMA.

Aiko_Selmatu-Banner_zpsbqnor5qt.jpg

Aiko's eyes continued to glance around looking for her own form of entertainment. She was very picky about what she would do. As much as she loved sticking out and flaunting herself a bit, she had the need to do it in just the right way to the right people. Even a narcissist such as herself knew enough to not go flailing around idiotically either. It was an art, one that you wanted to earn respect from people rather then lose it. Still, the idea of jumping on stage and trying to get in the lime light was quite tempting for her. Too up front though, I'd just look like some random idiot jumping up there. Not to mention there isn't really much I could do as far as being on stage goes.

She suddenly shifted noticing Ella. She couldn't help but notice the two rather cute looking guys with her. The girl smirked a bit, tapping her finger on her chin. Well well.. that could be fun... did she bring me some funsies to play around with? Oooo! I wonder how they might react! The one looks like he could be really fun to mess with! I wonder if he would be as taken back as I think! Hehe I hope she wouldn't mind much. I really should go head over to talk with her, and really go about seeing how much I can embarrass the two guys!

It was like a night and day change for the seemingly distracted Aiko as another person came up close. Just as his chin hovered less then a centimeter from her shoulder, Aiko's body quickly dropped down bending her knees, she shuffled swiflty looking almost like a blur as she darted a few inches away glancing back at him. The girl's eyes seemed briefly looked rather meek as if trying to portray herself in some helpless light before returning back to normal. As quickly as she had changed, the girl was swift to straighten up looking at Jason.

"Hey hey now, wacha think your doing sneaking up to a lady like that. A man should do so like a gentleman!" She spoke wagging her finger as if attempting to scold him making up the last bit as she talked not really thinking at all that should be the case. It was more of a reflex for her to speak in such a way. She put her hand down standing with her hands to her sides. The girl didn't seem all that upset looking curiously at him seeming to regained her composure completely from his little 'ambush' attempt. He was a pretty boy of course, though one who tended to not be an ideal 'target' for her little 'games'.

Jason Daniels

Jason wasn't surprised at Aiko's reaction at all. As she had shuffled back the few inches that she did, he took that chance to straighten himself out, his smile only widening. He took a moment to look over her appearance as well as collect his thoughts. He had to admit, Aiko looked as good as usual, though he supposed that was to be expected. Standards to be kept and all that. "Well, if ya ask me, I snuck up on ya like a proper gentleman, thank ya very much. I even said hello, instead of shoutin' out 'boo' or somethin' ridiculous like that. And why I snuck up on ya in the first place? Well..." His smile turns a bit cheeky as he chuckles. "I was lookin' around for somethin' to do, y'know? But no one was doin' anythin' really interestin' or they were doin' somethin' I didn't want to but in on, cause I'm a proper gentleman like that. But then I spot you lookin' around with some real predator like eyes, y'know? Kinda like this." He does a surprisingly accurate imitation of the look a predator would have when hunting prey. He soon stops and continues. "So I was thinkin' to myself that you had to be up to somethin' interestin'. Some kind of shenanigans or some mischief, y'know? Or maybe you were lookin' for someone who made ya mad or somethin' but you certainly didn't look cross. Ya just looked like it was one big game of cat and mouse, and ya happened to know all the mouse's hidin' spots. So I moseyed on over here, with the intent to surprise ya cause, frankly, I was bored, and one thing led to another and now here we are! Nice reaction time ya got there by the way. Very smooth. Lives up to your nickname, if I do say so myself, which I do."

He continues to smile impishly as he tilts his head to the side while looking around. "But ya never even answered my original question. What were ya plannin' on doin' before I all up and popped on in, if ya don't mind me askin'. And, more importantly, can I help? After all, I'm sure whatever ya had planned involved some sort of mischief and... chaos. Which is always fun in moderation, and what better time then at a big gatherin' were everyone is relaxed and ready to have some real fun, y'know what I'm sayin'?"

Dakota sighed as she edged her way into the square. It certainly looked to be bustling. The grip she had on the book she'd grabbed tightened. Her plan had been to come to the square and fine a place to sit and read, but it seemed she'd completely forgotten about the concert. How she'd managed that with it being the topic of choice most of the week, she had no idea. The point now, was that she had actually shown up, and now she was faced with way more people than she was comfortable with. Still trying to stick to the outskirts of the square, she found her way to a bench to one side of the square.

Upon reaching said bench, she was happy to see it was empty, though she noticed another girl sitting on another bench a short ways away. After a quick glance into the crowd, she sat down and promptly made herself comfortable, once again dressed in her usual top and jeans. She sat with her legs folded up Indian style, with her book in hand, open as she continued from where she'd last left off. Ironically, she was still at the very same spot as she had been when the twins fought over a sandwich in the NOT classroom earlier in the week. Her reading time had reduced greatly since then, as her free time was taken up by talking with Jack, Kalin, Lauren, and Sarah, or pondering over the events at the fields, along with time in the dispensary. Needless to say, she was soon quite into her reading and successfully blocked out the rest of the square's commotion. Hopefully, no one thought it would be a good idea to bug her anytime soon.

Vaguely, she wondered when the twins were going to make an appearance. She had no doubt they were going to show up. She glanced up from her book once, to catch a glimpse of a familiar head of blonde hair. Kalin was here, and that meant Jack had to be around too. Her focus returned to her book, though it wasn't all there. Her thoughts drifted to the concert that would be starting eventually, and how she could possibly avoid getting dragged into that crowd. She didn't might staying for the music. That was fine and dandy, she looked forward to it even. Her problem was how crowded the square might end up getting, and the possibility of getting stuck in the middle of it. The thought was not pleasant.

Dakota shook her head, and pushed her thoughts away, to focus back in on her book. Her eyes traveled quickly over the page, and she found herself drawn in once more. It really wasn't all that interesting, but this kind of thing always seemed to happen when she read. A welcome distraction from all the problems of earlier in the week, and the current situation. Her zoned out once more, completely absorbed and not bothered to pay attention to the rest of the world.

Hotaru Yukishiro

As far as Hotaru was concerned, being early was always the best option for any social event. It gave her time to scope out the place and set things up if she wanted to, plus she got time to plan her entrance. Being early didn't mean looking early after all.

By the stage, in the shadows of the merch stand, she breathed it in deeply. There was a certain tang to the air, she didn't know what but she knew the scent familiarly. It was... it was... a build up of something magical. No, that wasn't right, was it? People brushing up against one another, still talking, still getting ready. Waiting and preparation, that's what it was. Tension and wound up nerves and last minute mistakes. Hadn't experienced those in a while. And the common factor, even from all the way on the other end of the square, she could smell the concession stand. Or maybe that was the popcorn she held in her hand.
Food just loves bringing people together, she thought as she popped another kernel into her mouth.

But so does quick entertainment. Hotaru smiled at the sight of a deck of cards. Their holder was with Ella and some other kid, no clue who. She never bothered much with NOT students but she'd heard chatter of a gambling cousin or some such thing. Cutting through the crowd to their little threesome (now wouldn't that just be awkward), she stood back, listening and waiting. Licking the butter from her thumb, she insinuated herself into their conversation.

"Cards and dice?" she noted. "This wouldn't happen to be the makings of a gambling ring, would it? Because let me tell you, that only leads to uncontrolled addiction and alcoholism, and I only recommend those in moderation," she joked. Look at her, a shining example of a good influence on youths. Chuckling, she quickly sombered herself. "Seriously, though, if you were going to have a card game and didn't think to invite me, I'll be very cross with you Spinner," she said and glared at Ella with just the slightest twitch in the corner of her mouth to betray her humor.

Whirling to look at the cousin (Jack! That was his name), Hotaru said,
"I can't really blame you, though, can I? Apparently I'm not as well known as I thought. Honestly, who else can do what I can here?" She shook herself a bit and heaved a great, dramatic sigh. "Well never mind my mistakes. You must be the gambling cousin I hear about. Jack that never thinks twice when it comes to his dice? I'm Hotaru, magician extraordinaire." Bouncing on the ball of her feet, she did a sweeping bow. Turning to the third member, she realized how short he was as well. She never recalled being that short when she was his age. "And you are?" she asked as she flicked a popcorn in an arc into her mouth.

Sarah Sparks & Lauren Sparks

-:- At Their Apartment -:-

Stepping out of the bathroom, naked, Sarah quickly wandered over to her bed where all the necessities of her attire for the night were laid. She kind of stared blankly at them. A black lower back skirt, frilly panties and bra, her favorite pale purple and white tank top and some scrunchies for her hair. Though the strangest part was that Lauren's were still sitting next to her own clothing. Exactly the same; shirt skirt, underware, shoes and such, cept for her colors, which were pale pink and white, as well as no scrunchies. Just some similar colored barrettes for her hair. Raising an eyebrow, she peeked out the door and glanced over to the kitchen.

Shuffling a pan, Lauren was cooking their dinner, or lunch, depending what one liked to call it. Though as she spun around, her eyes met with Sarah's. She looked confused, as was Lauren as to why her sister was confused in the first place.

"
Why are you cooking dinner in your underwear?" Sarah asked sarcastically. Thinking maybe her sister was just being a dope.

"
Freedom!" She said very loudly, till a spec of oil splattered on her skin and she squealed like a little piggy in pain. Her arm's flailed as she tried to dodge such invisible shards of pain, while still cooking said meal.

Sarah just kind of stared at her blankly in amusement. Really? Maybe she was the crazy one. Turning back to the room, Sarah quickly put together her clothing, piece by piece except for her shirt. Sitting down on a short stood, she used the dryer to finish her loads of hair.

Lauren had just finished making their dinner, Pan Fried sandwiches. Just a little ham, cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a buttered and fried bun. Simple easy and mostly healthy. Leaving them on their cutting board upon the counter, Lauren walked around and went into their room where Sarah was. Peeking around the corner, and simply because she could, Sarah didn't seem to notice her. Entering and walking over to the stood, she kneeled down on her knees and took the dryer from Sarah. Using a brush, she began finishing what her sister needed.

As if synchronized, both sister's did their activities perfectly. Sarah finished with her hair and started to eat. Lauren got dressed and then came out and ate. Both the two sat at their little table and laughed, talking about their friends and the concert. Neither of them knew what to except. They had never been to a real concert since their family was very uptight. But after some talking to calm the nerves, both the girls put on their shoes, Colors matching their respective shirts and laced them up, the pony tailed Sarah with purple scrounchies and hair down to her waist, followed the straight down, clipped up hair of her sister out the door. Locking it up behind them they left for the center.

-:- Arriving at Concert -:-

After walking maybe 20 or 30 minutes, they finally made it to their destination. To which they saw, they were basically late. Many people had gathered and while most of them appeared to be student age, how was one suppose to tell who was student and who wasn't. They came in from the back side, or would that of been the front? Consessions were on the
other side from them, and even then the stage felt miles away. Surprisingly they found a nice little hidden nook.

Walking back from where they came, both twins, holding hands, went around a building as as they came to the nook, saw it was a stair case leading up to a patio of sorts. It was pretty vacant because it was so far back. Yet it was in just the right position to see the stage. The girls turned and look at one another. Lauren speaking first.

"
You know none of the few friends we made will find us here?"

Sarah sat down first at their little table and asked the waiter for a water. Lauren followed and sat next to her so they could both sit facing out towards the stage.

"
Yeah, but we haven't done anything alone since we got here, not like we use too."

Lauren's eyes kind of looked down in shame. Not that it was either of their faults. Life had just gotten hectic for the two of them. Moving her hand over, she grabbed Sarah's tenderly and squeezed it with the same finesse. Sarah turned and smiled before leaning her head against Lauren's. The two sat their waiting for the concert.

The hostess, a different person this time came out with water for both of them. Setting it on the table, she smiled and nodded. Both girls thanked her.

Ella and Jack

She listened to Kalin's request, blinking when Kalin's face suddenly reddened as he added his final comment. Ella didn't really register the meaning of the words right away. When she did, half a second later, her face flushed and her hands went to her cheek as if to hide her embarrassment. “Me? Pretty? It must be the make-up. I tried my best to not look like my usual dead self today.”

Ella giggled bashfully twirling her finger through locks of pink for a couple second before glancing up at the blond boy. There was no hiding the delight in her eyes. Moving to Kalin’s side, Ella hugged the smaller boy’s arm and rested her head against his shoulder. “You are sooo cute Kalin~! I think I like you more than Jack.”

Jack rolled his eyes, feeling somewhat sorry for Kalin since he knew what Ella was like when she grew attached to someone. However, he was unwilling to make Ella upset. The last time he did that, her zombie father had been there, and it hadn’t been pretty. Jack shuddered at memory. He had been about to put away the cards and reply to Kalin when…

"Cards and dice?"

Aw crap. Jack’s eyes flickered to the tall, dark-haired woman who had entered their conversation. She wasn’t a teacher or a police officer was she? Jack hadn’t planned on doing anything illegal, and she was clearly misunderstanding his intentions, but being caught in a situation like this wouldn't do him any good. Jack's posture was relaxed and his expression neutral even as his mind raced to find possible excuses. Not that he needed any since he wasn't starting a gambling ring in the first place!

Though...now that I'm thinking about it again, a gambling club could be fun. Not wagering money of course, Kalin doesn't have any, but other stuff...

“and I only recommend those in moderation,"

Oh, she was joking. Smiling in amusement--and slight relief--Jack examined the older girl with interest. The way she spoke, the way she dressed, the way she acted—the girl was definitely an entertainer. Jack raised an eyebrow when she addressed him. She’d heard about him? It’d only been a week or so since he’d enrolled in DWMA. And he was a NOT student. Jack’s gaze darted to his cousin, who was still clinging onto Kalin’s arm. She appeared to be Ella's friend, which meant she was a DWMA student and likely in the EAT class. “You talk about me to your friends Ella?”

“Oh, don’t worry Jack”
Ella giggled. “I didn’t say anything bad~” To Hotaru she said with a pout. "Dooon't be cross with me, Mirage. We’re not playing card games. We’re going to the concession stand so Kalin can try some of the snacks there, right Jack? I mean, he's never had cotton candy before!”

Jack nodded, sighing in a fake mournful manner. Though, he did like playing his games, there were plenty of other times to do so. Playing cards could be done at any time in their dorms. But it was Kalin’s first concert. He wanted to make the experience enjoyable for his partner, who clearly never had the chance to enjoy the finer things in life. Especially if he thought cotton candy was magical. Jack slipped the deck back into the his blazer pocket. "Lots of firsts for you, eh Galahad?" The dice-lover said playfully to his partner. "But that's good. It's always fun to try new things. Roll the die and see what comes out. You don't need my permission. If you think cotton candy is good, just wait until you try other stuff. Popcorn, pretzels, nachos, ever tried any of those?"

Then, facing the magician who was popping kernels of popcorn in her mouth, Jack tipped his hat in greeting. “A pleasure to meet you Magician Hotaru.”

Kalin

Usual dead self? Such a peculiar thing to say. Perhaps it was a means of self-depreciation and humility, in the current vernacular. It is true that he was a bit behind in that department. Still, his complement had it's intended results, sort of. A moderate success was more than he was used to when it came to social encounters, so he wasn't going to complain. Expecially when it came to something as risky as this.

She twirls her hair too? Interesting. It wasn't just him. It was so soothing, the feel of his own hair between his fingers and his th- And she was on him again. Not that it wasn't pleasant...but it...it made him quite embarrassed. The blood flowed to his face. Cuter than Jack? What was going on here? Weren't they cousins? Any grasp of Jack and Ella's relationship was now far above his understanding. Plus, her assertion was positively wrong. Maybe he missed something. He definitely missed something.

Just when it couldn't get anymore chaotic, a new person arrived. The group was now three. Two more than he was comfortable with, and interested in Cards and dice. Which was fine. Kalin could play cards and dice. It would make Jack happy. What made Jack happy made Kalin happy.

So it made him nervous when Ella insisted on following his stupid whim, to his embarrassment, and Jack's apparent dismay. "Lots of firsts for you, eh Galahad?"

This is something that was both true, and filled him with shame. To allow himself to be treated in such a manner for so long. To allow Miss Joanne to have pity on him, instead of taking the things he wanted. He had truly been an obedient dog. "But that's good. It's always fun to try new things. Roll the die and see what comes out. You don't need my permission. If you think cotton candy is good, just wait until you try other stuff. Popcorn, pretzels, nachos, ever tried any of those?"

"I...uh......yes. Pretzels are the little brown curly things. Popcorn comes in the little bag you put in a microwave and they explode...and...Nachos... what are Nachos again?" His eyes suddenly snap to the Magician, and due to the girl clinging to his arm, he opts for a curtsey instead of a bow. "OHMYGOSHI'MSORRY. M-My name is Kalin...Kalin Mickleson. Not that I deserve to be called a Mickleson or that my name is important or anything. I'm Jack's weapon." There's a major emphasis on the last part and even a fragment of a smile.

@DaughterofAthena

Jayce walked into the concert ground, his eyes scanning the crowds that were beginning to form because it was almost time for the concert to begin. There were quite a few of the newer students present, which was a positive thing for Jayce to consider. None of them really had reason to hate him where as Jayce had more than enough reason to avoid anyone who knew him well enough from previous years at the academy. In fact, avoiding them was one of the first things he took into consideration when Jayce scanned the little groups and tried to decide who to go talk to.

There were two new students near the concession stand, but they were with Ella and Hotaru. That eliminated them from the possibilities.

Jayce saw Aiko and Jason in the middle of the crowds. There was no way he was going to head in that direction at all. He had been nervous enough simply talking to Jason when they had been putting up fliers. Part of him was curious as to whether or not the other girl from the hall was going to come to the concert. That thing - Zarren, that was his name - seemed to be eager enough to come but Jayce couldn’t find that odd pair in the crowd anywhere. And he didn’t imagine they could be too hard to spot.

Keziah was leaning against the concession stand. She was a no go right off the bat.

Then there was Kassana and Miyoko and Alexis. Jayce didn’t approach them right away either simply because while he knew Alexis tended to be nicer, he still didn’t trust her. Jayce didn’t trust anyone who could possibly remember her. Because they had all loved her. Now that he was the reason she was gone, that meant they all hated him.

His eyes continued scanning, not really seeing anyone who COMPLETELY terrified him, just yet. In fact, he saw a girl sitting on a bench. He didn’t know her name, not off the top of his head at least, but he did know that he was pretty sure he hadn’t met her before. Jayce started walking towards her when he felt something push him from behind. Before he even had a chance to turn and look, though, Jayce found that he had been completely shoved out of the way.

In fact, Jayce was more than shoved aside. Isaac Perinnin, a student returning from a mission, was charging forward and didn’t even see Jayce standing there. Jayce was sent stumbling to the ground, actually semi-somersaulting as he was sent rolling onto the ground. Isaac didn’t even notice, though. He just ran right into the crowd and started poking anyone and everyone he could stumble upon. “Hey! I’m back! What’d I miss!? What time’s the show start? Any rock music? That’d be SOOOO COOOOL!!”

Coming in from behind Jayce, still flat on the ground, and Isaac, who had already vanished in his reckless excitement, came his partner - Malacai. “Ugh, don’t you ever stop to think about things before you rush headlong into the fray?” Malacai bent down, as if making to help Jayce back up. “I swear, my partner has infinite reserves of energy. Allow me to-” As Malacai was about to help Jayce onto his feet, he saw exactly who Isaac pushed to the ground.

Jayce’s eyes met Malacai’s for a split moment and Jayce gulped just once. Not only did he not need help getting up, but the person who he saw helping him was the last person on the planet who he knew would ever help him with anything.

After making a brief moment of eye contact with Jayce, Malacai immediately dropped Jayce back to the ground. “Hmph. You deserve to be down on the ground.” Malacai spit at the ground next to Jayce, and walked in to join the crowd of people gathered here, with one last look of disgust at Jayce.

“Hmph…” was the sound that came out of Jayce’s mouth as his face once again hit the ground, filling with dirt and grime and all sorts of undesirable things. He pushed himself up off the ground and stood there for a moment, completely having forgotten what he was going to do in the first place. He shrugged and turned, waiting to see if Alessa would show.

Malacai continued into the crowd, spending a brief moment to search fruitlessly for his partner. He sighed and instead looked to take in his surroundings. I suppose I’ll find Isaac in some sort of trouble soon. At least he gave that trash what he deserves. Malacai surveyed the area, noting all the stands and other various festive things. Now, I know Death City can be a little weird sometimes, but I’ve never known it to be a city of concerts. Especially not right in the center of things. Malacai searched the crowd for a familiar face. After some searching, he located Keziah near the concession stand. Let’s see what Keziah thinks of this. I can only hope that she’s not upset with me for beating her up a little bit. Malacai walked towards the concession stand, approaching Keziah. “Mind if I join you?”

Keziah turned to regard Malacai evenly for a moment before she simply shrugged and nodded. “There isn’t anything I can do to stop you,” was all she said in regards to it.

Malacai nodded, and ordered a brat of his own. As the order was being made, he continued, “So, what’s going on here? I certainly didn’t expect to come home to a concert.”

“Apparently it was last minute… some arts company called A-Muse trying to get their name out there. So they decided to put on a free concert,” Keziah explained. “That’s the story, at least.”

“Seems a little odd to me. Why Death City of all places? We are not exactly known for concerts. Does anyone know what Lord Death thinks of all this?”

“Dunno. I’m not exactly on his list of favorite students,” Keziah commented, no doubt referring to her recent experience with madness. “I doubt very little happens without him knowing, though. Relax, Malacai. Even I’m here without worrying about the situation and you of all people know how rare that is.”

Malacai grimmaced slightly at Keziah’s reference to recent events, remembering them all too well, and exactly what he had to do to her to fix things. “Hmm. Well, I should probably try and get Isaac out of whatever trouble he’s gotten himself into. We all know how he can be. I’ll see you around, I guess.” With that, Malacai walked into the crowd again. And maybe I’ll investigate the situation further as I try to locate my overenergized partner.

Jessyka Volontari and Skylar Emerson

Starting out with a botched mission had left a sense of disappointment dwelling within Jessyka for the remainder of the week. Even as she was walking towards the city square, she couldn’t seem to get it out of her head. She would’ve been so much happier if they had been able to see the mission through. Instead, all Jessyka had to show that she had even tried to do anything was the terrible burn in her gut from Paul’s Soul Menace. And she hadn’t seen him all week in order to try and return the favor either. It had gotten to the point where Jessyka would’ve been surprised if she did happen to see him anywhere again anytime soon; the concert certainly didn’t seem like it would be any different from the hallways at school, though.

The smell of concessions wafted through the air. She had been planning on stopping for food along the way, but the idea of having something deliciously greasy seemed too tempting. Turning around, Jessyka called back to Skylar who was tagging along, “Smokey, you alright with just getting food at the concert? Smells like they’ve got burgers and stuff… should be fine, right?”

For the past week, Skylar was haunted by the defeat at the hands of Paul. That was something that triggered something in him, something that made him bite Paul. The feeling he had when he bit him, he wanted to taste blood. Day after day, he trained and trained, trying to get that urge and the memory of the event out of his brain.

His stomach grumbled at the smell of food. It did not help that Jessyka reminded him. Fighting his urge, he smiles and nods. “I’m g-good Jess. Had a big breakfast.” That was a very shameless lie. The only thing he ate was a piece of toast and two apples. He had gotten visibly skinnier over the past days.

Jessyka’s eyes narrowed at him. It wasn’t even morning. It was dinnertime. What did having a big breakfast have to do with whether or not you ate dinner? It was an odd thing to realize, but Jessyka caught it. Something was off about her partner. In fact, something had been off about him since summer classes - since the whole incident with the devil dog that tried to eat him alive. Even Jessyka couldn’t really blame him for letting that get to him, but it still concerned her.

“Having had a big breakfast doesn’t excuse you from skipping dinner, Smokey,” she said to him simply. “At least have some cotton candy or some popcorn or a pretzel… you used to eat all the time, Smokey!” She couldn’t help but express at least a small amount of her concern.

Smokey’s stomach grumbled even more. Letting out a little groan, he looked away. “I suppose I can get a hot dog…” Skylar didn’t want to get Jessyka worried, so, if he had to eat something to get her to calm down, he would. “I-I think I want with extra ketchup… I like ketchup…” He quickly licked his lips.

“Fine,” Jessyka replied simply while nodding her head firmly. As long as he was eating something, she didn’t really care.

The two of them walked into the city square, noting the people although Jessyka ignored them for the most part. She just walked right up to the concession stand and ordered a cheeseburger for herself and a hot dog for her partner.

Kamryn "JJ" Vessot

Kamryn walked into Death City's central square, her usual smile upon her features. She paused at the edge of the square, for just a few moments, to take in the hustle and bustle. Her eyes landed on several students standing or sitting by themselves. Two were girls she really didn't recognize, and the third she looked to she believed was Jayce, a weapon from the EAT class. Still with her light smile, she moved farther into the sqaure, and first visited the concessions, and payed for some cotton candy. A sweet treat.

After she got her cotton candy, she moved quickly away from the stand, not to interrupt the students who were waiting for something, and turned away, her eyes flicked between the lone students. One seemed to be reading, so she wouldn't bother that girl. She settled for Jayce, due to the fact that she at least knew his name. Normally, she'd locate Thalia, but this event was a good chance to mingle with classmates other than her partner. Cotton Candy in hand, she weaved her way back through the crowd and over to Jayce.

"Hey, Jayce right?" She started, more to announce her presence than anything else. She stopped after she arrived in front of him. He seemed to be either looking for someone, or waiting for said someone. "Who are you waiting for?" there came a slight pause, "Oh! You want some cotton candy? It's pretty good." She threw on excitedly, being her usual outgoing self. She held the puffy, cloud-like treat out to Jayce with a smile. She really had only pulled a small amount off one side, so it was relatively untouched. She noticed he looked a little dirty, and she wondered about that for a second, before she pushed the thought aside.

"How do you think this concert's going to go? I'm looking forward to it. Nice break from things, you know." She rambled on, still not really pausing. "Though, I do kind of wonder why Lord Death decided to--" She caught herself this time around, and shut her mouth quickly. She gave Jayce as close to as apologetic look as possible. "Sorry about that..." She breathed out, after she figured the surge of words had stopped, and simply fell silent, in case he wanted to say anything though her smile never left.

Aiko heard Jason's explination keeping an obvious pout on her face through it. Her eyes kept locked on him as her arms were left crossed. His long winded explanation left her tapping her finger on her arm as he tried to make some kind of excuse for his approach. Aiko's eyes eventually darted away as if losing interest in it. Truthfully she had, he was dragging his words out much too long. Naturally for her, she was the only one allowed to go on such long periods of narration, granted she never saw it that she did such a thing at times.

"None of yah bizz! Its something I do on my own, and its not any of that mischief. It is a much more complicated thing then that." She spoke giving a nod. The girl lifted her hand up as she worked to fix up her hair, a bit afraid it might of gotten messed up in her earlier shuffle. She straightened back up putting back on a rather innocent face, unable to hide a bit of devious intentions with it.

She used the back of her hand to wave away Jason putting on a disinterested face. "Now now, go on and pretend to be a gentleman elsewhere, your cramping my style." She spoke dismissively to him. He wasn't the type she could tease after all. Truthfully she didn't care all that much that he was around though she couldn't help but play it out as such treating him like some lost child while she was playing her 'big kid' games.

Aiko lifted her hands up behind her head as she softly hummed to herself as if to play innocent as she walked through the crowd. She could see Ella still around a few others. "Funsies!" She spoke out loud, not too hard for Jason to hear given she didn't really given him a chance to go run off, nor did she seem to really care if he did or not. She began to head in the direction of Ella.

Zyra Harriot

Zyra pulled a piece of cotton candy off of the stick, placing it on her tongue and letting it evaporate. The sweet taste spread over her tongue, and she grinned as the flavor washed over her. It was rare that she got to experience a treat like cotton candy, since most candy she bought was for Daemon. Only during these special events she would treat herself. She didn't have to limit herself to brain-food for her academics, as her diet demanded. Daemon always told her she should allow herself a break more often, but she needed that order in her life.

The crowd was growing larger as time went on. Most students were wearing casual clothing, and Zyra was not very different in that regard. She was wearing a form-fitting black T-shirt with the words 'I'm not Little Red, I'm the Wolf' printed on the front in a curvy red font, and she wore a pair of bright blue skinny jeans with it, and her red cloak was wrapped firmly around her waist, similar to a sweatshirt. The calves of the jeans were obstructed from view, as her platform boots reached up to just below her knees. The boots only added about an inch and a half to her height, so she wouldn't trip and kill herself on accident. She had most of her hair pulled back in a ponytail, though a few strands had made their way out of the scrunchie that held it all up. She didn't bother fixing it, though. Today, all she wanted to do was relax.

She waved to a few familiar faces, giving a kind smile, though she didn't hold up any conversations with anyone. She was mainly looking for Lexie, the only person she would feel comfortable having a conversation with aside from Daemon or teachers. She also kept a wary eye out for Alexander, not wanting to run into him when she was trying to have a good time. His anger at her on picture day had set her off, and if she was going to try and be better friends with Lexie, she would have to find out a way to make friends with him as well. Even though she really didn't want to.

After a few minutes of mindless wandering, and seeing Daemon stuffing his face with food and goofing around, she soon found her fellow student standing with two others girls. Zyra vaguely remembered that one of the girls' name was Kassana, and another girl she couldn't put a name to. But, that was another reason Zyra was here. To make more friends. She needed more people she could rely on instead of Daemon. As much as she trusted Daemon, she needed to branch out. She had told him, and he had just stared at her blankly until he gave up and said that he just wanted her to be feeling happy.

No matter what anyone said about how weird Daemon was, he really was a kind person.

She approached the three girls, waving to Lexie in particular. "Hey, Lexie!" Zyra brought her walk up to a jog until she reached the girls. When she got close, she gave the other two girls a friendly smile, and gently placed her fingers on Lexie's arm. She had heard that Aeryn was gone, but she didn't think it was appropriate to bring something like that up on a night like this. "I hope I'm not the only one excited about this concert. It's the first one I've been to in a really, really long time. Last time I went to one was a little orchestra one with my family when I was a little kid. I'm sure this will be way better than that, though. It also just feels so good to..." She stretched her arms out to her sides, taking a deep breath. "I'm not sure how to describe it. Let go? It's been a while since I've felt so relaxed. Daemon is having a good time, as well, last time I saw. Stuffing his face full of junk. Though, it's not that different from normal, I guess." She giggled, popping another piece of cotton candy into her mouth.

After it disintegrated, she turned to the other two girls. "
Oh, sorry! I got caught up in rambling. My bad. My name's Zyra Harriot. EAT Weapon. I remember you, Kassana, but I just wasn't so sure if you remembered my name at all. You, though..." She placed a finger on her chin, thinking. "I just don't remember your name. I'm really sorry. Can I ask what it is?"

Daemon Alexanders

Daemon popped another french fry into his mouth, maneuvering around people as he walked around the Square. He had been saving up for this event so he could pig out without Zyra yelling at him, since he knew she would also be taking it easy. He liked it when she stopped being so uptight and started to have fun. At home, it was always homework, homework, study, homework...he always felt bad when she seemed stressed about something. He would make her tea or coffee, cook food for her, get her favorite music, anything to help her relax. But on a night like this, they both were going to enjoy themselves.

Of course, what had been confusing was why she wanted to ask him if she could find more friends. Of course she could. He didn't control her or anything. And she would always come home at night so they could hang out and play board games sometimes, or she could help him with his failing classes. He didn't care what she did as long as she came home.

He tipped his little bag of fries up so a few slid into his mouth, like he was taking a drink. The greasiness of the food made him feel more satisfied. At home, Zyra typically had him avoid greasy foods. He hated it, but he couldn't deny he had seen a remarkable change in his physique. When they had first enrolled in the DWMA, Daemon was more of a stick than anything. Training with Zyra beforehand had given him a bit of arm muscles, but nothing significant. Now, though, he had gained some muscles in more of his torso and legs, which he liked. It made him feel stronger. He liked feeling stronger.

Daemon made his way towards the edge of the Square, listening to everybody interact and chat. He liked listening to people, even if he wasn't a part of their conversation. It felt normal to just listen to people talk, and the mix of different voices sounded almost like a song. He grinned from ear to ear, some people giving him a strange look for his strangely-placed smile.

He kept walking around until he came across a few benches A few friends or couples were sitting around on the benches chatting or just sitting enjoying their company. He saw a couple not too far away exchange a quick kiss. He made a disgusted face at the gesture, not finding how people could enjoy putting their mouths together like that. It was odd to him.

Put one girl caught his attention. She was just sitting alone, reading a book. He looked at her curiously for a moment, confused on why someone would waste their time reading a book when they can be enjoying all the junk food that was being offered to the students. It baffled him greatly. He began making his way over to the girl.

When he was close enough, he stood over her, looking down at her. He was silent for a moment, then he leaned forwards so he could look at what she was reading. He looked over a few words, not saying anything. When he was younger, he had taught himself to read upside down
and backwards, just so he had something interesting he could do.

After reading a few lines, he stood back up and walked over to sit on the bench next to her girl. She seemed lonely, and Daemon wanted to cheer her up, if he could. He looked down at his bag of fries, holding out to her. "Hey, miss? Want a fry? There's quite a few left, and I can always just buy myself some more." He looked around at everyone passing by. He looked at how she was sitting, and brought his legs up similar to her. He grunted as he tried to find a comfortable way to sit, adjusting his body into multiple ways before giving up and letting his legs fall back over the edge of the seat. "Why are you sitting here alone when you can be eating? Or talking with people? Talking to people is fun, sometimes. Eating is fun all the time. Well, as long as you burn off all of the fat." Daemon poked his abs as he spoke, looking down at them. "At least, that's what Zyra tells me to do. Whatever fat I eat I have to burn off during the week. Have to keep myself healthy." He stuck his lower lip out in a pout. "I wish there was a way to eat food without getting fat. Life sucks."
