➤ SUMMARY
end credits is a small-town murder mystery roleplay that tells the tale of (around) eight uni students who happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. all landing jobs on the same floor of the wellspring mall, all having the same closing shift. it was like any ordinary night after a summer day's long worth of customer service with obnoxious teenagers and impatient middle-aged women. each doing their own responsibility of locking down their stores and making last-second preparations for the next set of miserable part-timers in the morning shift the next day. same old, same old.

that is until the power goes out and the young adults are submerged in darkness.

their stories deviate from there, each taking their own path of exit from the horror show that was the pitch-black mall. eight walked in, but only seven walked out. jared fritz was the unlucky one to meet his demise that night, found dead in the food court the very next day with a jack-in-the-box replica of the chestburster from alien jumping out his chest when his body was discovered by a local mall cop. not a single soul can tell police what exactly happened.

but two things are for sure: one of these uni students killed jared fritz. and one of these uni students is the blockbuster ripper. and with police breathing down their neck, and the ripper taunting them with their awful secrets, they have to find out who among themselves is truly the blockbuster ripper.

a quaint little town of 16, 066 located in the lush forests of oregon, everyone knows everyone in wellspring. the town itself has everything for everyone; the town square full of stalls for local vendors, karaoke hotspots where the more renowned students hang around, even a decent university just on the outskirts, and let's not forget the local wellspring mall! founded since the pilgrimage, wellspring has been around for quite some time. yet the blockbuster ripper has been the biggest tragedy the town has ever faced to date.

it's only fitting for the blockbuster ripper to have claimed their first life on halloween night of 2002. since then, they've been a relatively slow killer, killing around once a month, emphasizing holidays and points of celebration. perhaps the intervals helped them plan out their schemes meticulously. or perhaps they reveled in the false sense of security they'd lure everyone into—every month, hoping that they would be spared from the ripper and their fucked mind. there is something almost artistic about the ripper's signature, the entire reason they've been named the blockbuster ripper in the first place. each of the victims (but one) have been slaughtered in a way that resembles iconic horror movie deaths in your favorite grotesque blockbusters. scream, pscyho, the shining, an american wolf in london—you name it! the blockbuster ripper probably has the idea in the works.

kristin green - kristin green—or krissy by her friends, was a good kid. 1.0 student, volunteered at the local church, was part of the choir at uni, and was taking up a degree in education. she and [REDACTED] were beginning to be the town sweethearts before she fell victim to the blockbuster ripper, the first of many.​

clemetine beaumonte - clementine was meant for bigger things. to shine with the stars in Hollywood as she displayed herself on the silver screen. in her prime, she was a child star who was on every television in town when she starred in a little advertisement for her family’s candy company. too bad that she was stripped away from this world too soon.​

mr. charles price - mr. charles price was the mayor's secretary and a pretty good one too. besides his reputation for being rather sour-mannered and abrasive of course. he was the first victim of the ripper who wasn't a student at st. gertrude's university, his body found rotting away in the mayor's office chest full of axe.​

blair mullins - everyone loved blair mullins. or at least they did during the heat of high school, when homecoming queen was as good as being an actual living monarch. her popularity simmered down to a fizzle when half of the student body moved out of town or simply forgot about her at st. gertrude's. at least no one at that aged school will ever forget her know as she was found in the girl's shower room. long live the homecoming queen.​

joshua torres - it was expected for joshua's fate to be dead in a ditch in the woods, but no one could've expected it to be because of a serial killer. he was a bad seed, often found on the shady ends of town doing god knows what. police were almost relieved knowing he'd be off the streets if it weren't for the grizzly state they found him in. it would've been ruled as a bear or a pack of wolves if it wasn't for the werewolf mask worn to cover his mutilated face.​

officer hudson reynolds - an angry cop who spent most of the time shouting at rookies than doing his job, officer hudson wasn't the best boy in blue. there are still debates on whether or not he truly fell victim to the ripper as there had been no connection between his cause of death and a horror flick. not that anyone really cares anyway, cops are bastards anyway.​

jared fritz - a stoner who had little to no prospects going for him, just a 20-something-year-old, borderline dropout, who worked at a sleazy shop at the wellspring mall. his uncle whose couch he crashed on didn’t even notice he didn’t come home the night his life was taken by the ripper, only discovering jared’s fate when the cops showed up at his home. back when there was air in his longs and color to his lips, uni and work friends would describe him to be laid back and easygoing, just a man who lived his life slow and at his own pace. the cops however saw him as a menace, just another druggie who was destined for nothing.​
