Many of the recorded documents of the empirewere lost due to book burnings or history walls being destroyed because not every faction wouldhave written things down. Some would have carved them into walls and such while others inscribe them into scrolls or stone tablets. There were No universal religion was practiced. They all had their own faiths, Monotheistic systems of faith were the majority with only a handful of cultures believing in more than one god.
One faction with multiple cultures emerged in central Regalia It was a human dominant faction built along side many of the plain dwelling dwarvish clans.It expanded northward, then eastward Where it came into contact with the kingdom that would later evolve into the empire we know today. There were many battles between the two as the newly started empire couldn't seem to break the will or the defences of the kingdom. As if they were guarded by the heavens. That kingdom began to create alliances and
treaties against this newly formed union of dwarves and humans. Fighting them back with the assistance of
the elves and a few orcish warbands. Once they broke into the lands of the empire, its sprawling farmlands and lack of defendable locations caused it to fall beneath the might of the king who saw the lands as rightfully his as he'd been the one to not only lead the charge, but to suffer the most at the
hands of the empire.
The elves were torn on their stance with some supporting the king's claim to the new lands and others claiming it was purely raciallymotivated. An attempt to unify humans againstdwarves and in time elves. One of the elvish kingdoms sided with the king, while three others declared him their new enemy and birthed a new war of their own. The orcish war bands didn't take sides and adopted a role of brutally unalligned bystanders. The humans struck accords with the dwarves instead of brutally murdering them. The dwarves could either side with them, or be put to the sword. Many chose to live as allies and those that didn't were turned upon by their own brother clans. This helped to prove loyalty to the newly crowned emperor and to remove chances of rebels emerging within the second empire.
With the dwarves taking care of their own, and the elves turning upon each other, the first emperor sent the majority of his forces to take all of northern Regalia with small groups heading southward to show their
support for their elven allies.The war between the Elves lasted many years, with two of the kingdoms falling just after the fourteenth anniversary of the emperor's corrination. His legacy is most of Regalia, His sons then did the crawl across Ovalina to claim the rest having to put down rebellions within their own kingdoms.
Despite the short golden years of the Empire, the beginnings of its eventual collpase began with the series of Emperors, whose rules lead to the end.
The fourth emperor was the one who ended up betraying the elves.
The fifth betrays the dwarves.
The sixth tried to restore relations by openning reserves that were meant to be sites for cities but is assassinated before he can finish, his culprit unknown but it was widely known that an Elf was responsible.
The seventh tries to restore the legacy of the fifth but fails due to incompetance.
The eleventh manages to quell all the rebellions within the empire.
The thirteenth begins to crawl once more
The fourteenth strikes a number of treaties to help him focus on the more troublesome provinces.
The ninteenth emperor finally captures Ovalina.
The twenty third decides to fuck those treaties off because gunpowder. Colonises beyond the Ovalina.
The twenty fourth continues with the gunpowder > treaties idea but isn't quite as lucky.
The twenty sixth attempts to ban gunpowder from being used in warfare, only to be shot by his own rifle while cleaning it.
The twenty seventh quickly rose to replace him and held a longer than average rule not because of brilliance, but because of his ability to be bent into shape by his advisors and senators. His actions had a major impact in the down fall of the empire and while it was dying for a while, his actions sped it up.
Eventually the Empire declined and soon chaos was rampant in the empire, before the Era ended with a bang, a Dark Wizard, a practitioner of the ancient arts decided to experiment on such atrocious magic that the kinds of Ovalina disdained for many centuries. As the strife ravaged the empire. his spell tochange and command the earth backfired, his spell brought forth unprecedented destruction in the empire.a massive calamity engulf the dying Empire and forcing a group to move out of their lands and some sought refuge among the ruins only for the aftermath to reclaim them.
