Where I am currently at is Moon Owl is making her play a role so he can manipulate other people that you find out are not even trying to be deceitful for shitty reasons like you may have thought, all for show, meanwhile he is trying to get in with the current emperor! Like the whole point was so that she could also find love too, and he actively steers her away from that. Even lies to her about Plats intentions, or says it in a way that makes him appear scummy when I found the reason to be quite noble. Also, Plats dad really comes off as a POS.

But I am also having the theory he, moon owl, is the merman , so I bet my shit is gonna change AGAIN.

And just give me some Alex man, please the guy is getting sidelined by ANOTHER new male.

OK, so it wasn't Alex. The boy was Moon Owl - also, yes, he was adorable. Protect that baby.
I'm starting to understand, but I also don't understand why he didn't explain it all to her in the beginning. I don't know, if I was her, I would have been mad/annoyed. But it was probably to help her maintain a convincing act.

I hope so, I can understand her wanting to help Obsidian not fall for a facade, but this is after Moon Owl has helped her. Maybe it's the way they have the art currently depicting her, but it felt she was being pretty cruel about it.

I was also wrong about Moon Owl, so I will wait and see as more chapters release. Maybe her love wasn't everything it played up to be.
This story was making me a mess!
