A show based on the premise of falling in love with someone without knowing their true identity or appearance, Elemental Love was originally created as a way to forge allegiances between nations. During a time war was most prevalent it was a way to show the more vulnerable sides of the different countries through the royals or nobles who participated in the experiment. Kings and Queens of different nations have forged bonds through the show, but also a strange tension between nations. While a war has never officially broke out due to the show, it definitely has created lots of rifts between different nations.
With several games and a chance at dates away from the mansion, the competition is fierce. Love rivalries, love triangles, betrayal, and jealousy are all at the forefront of this popular TV series, creating drama that captivates it's audience.
With an alias created by the show, and a totally new appearance, can you truly prove that love can be forged even without knowing a person's true identity? Or will you walk away alone?

Just like their alias, Fire is passionate and stubborn. They are a fire that will not go out, standing strong against anything that comes there way. Born in the empire of Brampian, Fire was raised with an iron fist and from a young age has built a strong body, but that has left them with a more fragile mind. Despite their strength they harbor insecurity, and a longing for someone who will love them for who they are. Fire met Ice when they were children when Ice was visiting the country, forging a strong friendship that lasted for a few years throughout childhood before Ice suddenly stopped replying. open
Shadow
A gloomy but beautiful individual from Tutlia. Shadow is well, a shadow. They stick to the side, not wanting to draw much attention nor do they truly believe in love. They grew up watching courtesans and people marrying for materialistic things, and it never gave them a good look on the beauty that love could be. They've had several partners in the past, those drawn to their beauty, but have never felt real love. The only thing close to love they've had is with Light who they had met recently before the show, a beautiful dazzling figure who instantly captivated them in a way they had never felt before.open
Water
Calm and tranquil, an individual who remains calm in any situation unless provoked. Only then will you see the nasty temper they hide behind their cool appearance. Born in Exning, Water is a strong mage known for their knowledge on magic and mana, and coming here was more for research then actual love. They want to know the ins and outs of the magic others have, and the magic controlling the show behind the scenes. Little did they know though, that their first love Shadow would be on the show with them.closed{@nano}
Air
Air always feels like they have something to prove. That they're just as strong or smart as other's, that they're important just like anyone else. With several siblings they've always been given scraps and forgotten. Coming onto the show was a way to finally give them a choice, a way to finally break from the mold of what had been laid out for them in the past. Earth
Earth has always had a natural affinity for making those around them feel safe. Standing strong and tall as a pillar of strength for anyone around them to lean on, but they often disregard there own feelings. It's always others before them, and they came onto the show with the want to finally fight for something they want, and to find someone who can also be their own strength. When they were young they met Air, unknowing to them that they were from rivaling nations they became fast friends, and even something a little more before the war tore them apart. open
Light
As radiant and beautiful as the sunshine on a summer's day, Light is a kind and loving person. Always dreaming of finding love, but not wanting to be married off for political gain and instead wanting to find a true love, they signed up for the show. Ice
Icy and cold just like the nation they were born in, Ice is not the friendliest on your first meeting. They care little for romance, only there to appease their family. With the growing pressure of the family wanting another heir, and the longing for a companion they didn't even know they had, Ice had broken down and signed up for the show. When they were younger they had met Fire, someone who had made even there saddest days bright, someone who they could trust and rely on. Though after an incident they were unable to write back anymore, but they always do think of Fire from time-time.open
Lightning
A total bombshell dropped on the house on accident from the producers. Lightning was never supposed to be a contestant, they were a commoner from a poor background who was brought in as a replacement for another member who had dropped out early on in casting. In actuality it was meant to be another noble, but the commoner just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and now here they are, representing the nation of Persland. Became close friends with Light easily, but is terrified of actually trying to find any romance due to her status. Who would want to be with a commoner like her?closed {@houseplant}

This is loosely inspired by Obsidian Bride (beautiful webtoon check it out!), and something I've been debating on creating for a long time. It follows a group of eight who are brought into a large mansion with different appearances and names and are blocked from speaking anything that might give away who they truly are with the whole premise of finding love. Though, they don't know that most of them are connected to each other in some shape or form. I love a good mess!
rules
A few rules:- 18+ please. This deals with romance, and I'd rather not have minors mixed in.
- Be kind. Don't create drama outside of the RP, I really do not want to deal with it. I am just a girl..
- All RPN rules apply!
- Discord OOC is a must as I have a horrible time organizing things on RPN.
- This is not first come first serve, and I will be DMing those chosen once the deadline has hit.
- Don't join just to vanish. Give me a message if you want to leave please so I have time to fill the role.
- Each person can use magic to some capacity (the element they're given being the specialty), but please no OP characters. Everyone has a weakness.
