    • S.O.I.A.R is set on Earth with metaphysical properties. The world is populated by mystical creatures, ravaged by magical storms, and powered by a new source of energy; minerals created into Compounds. These Compounds come in a rainbow spectrum: red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, and violet. Compounds are nicknamed after their measurement “Zeeks”. Promptly after Nathan Zeek, who experimented with the colorful minerals back in 1603. Many have practiced with the minerals, but failed to make progress. There were endless counts of trial and error, but Nathan was able to design an intricate process to hone the metaphysical energy the minerals contain. Fossil fuels and alternative energy sources grew less necessary as Zeeks was distributed throughout the country and beyond. Our era has a western 1950’s aesthetic. It’s industrialized by Compounds and upgraded to metaphysical technology. Compounds have allowed the world to discover the arts of internal, metaphysical phenomenon; where anything is possible. The world is in a general state of peace however, America is blessed and cursed by these fantastical beasts. It’s our job, as S.O.I.A.R, to solve its problems propagated by these creatures.

      • Structure
        • Note that Security clearance and Rank are issued separately
      • Chief Master Sergeant (ChMSgt) of PESTs
        • Apart of the Operations Chief Staff. They are the advisor of every Unit. ChMsgt serve as a bridge between Commanders and PEST and assist in unit logistics and disciplinary actions among their PEST. This position is given for four years. The position is given to someone by their peers.
      • Chief Sergeant (ChSgt)
        • Apart of the Operations Chief Staff. They are the advisor of every Unit. ChSgt serve as a bridge between Commanders and PEST and assist in unit logistics and disciplinary actions among their PEST.
      • Commander Master Sergeant (CMSgt)
        • Apart of the Operations Chief Staff. They are the advisor of every Unit. CMSgt serve as a bridge between Commanders and PEST and assist in unit logistics and disciplinary actions among their PEST
      • First Sergeant (1stSgt)
        • Superior of MSgt. Interact with outside jobs that are ranked “Perceptive”. Has clearance to Base 1, 2 and 3.
      • Master Sergeant (MSgt)
        • Interact with outside jobs that are ranked “Perceptive”. Has clearance to Base 1 and 2, but must be partnered with equivalent rank to enter Base 3.
      • Field Sergeant (FldSgt)
        • Superior of Sgt. Interact with outside jobs that are ranked “Deleterious”. Has security clearance of Base 1 and 2.
      • Sergeant (Sgt)
        • Interact with outside jobs that are ranked “Deleterious”. Has security clearance to Base 1 and must be partnered with equivalent rank when entering Base 2.
      • Field Specialist (FldSpe)
        • Superiors of Fo. Interact with outside jobs that are ranked “Dwellers”. Has security clearance to Base 1.
      • Field Officer (FldO)
        • Interact with outside jobs that are ranked “Dwellers”. Are not allowed to enter the Bases anytime without supervision of a superior.
      • Eminent (Emt)
        • Emt’s are given recruits to mentor and train Bs recruits.
      • Base/Subordinate (Bs)
        • Bs’ undergo tests and training to be full-time employees within SOIAR.
          Tests involve physical and mental strain as the job can be stressful and may lead to death.
      • Detail
      • Under the building of S.O.I.A.R are underground layers. Each layer houses a different level of entity. When there are expansions, the layers will extend outward.
        • Base 1: Dwellers
          • Base 1 is powered by Yellow Compounds and contains non threatening items and/or beings. Also known as “Dwellers” who do not seek harm on civilization or are potentially threatened by it. They are held in one sided glass cells. In order to open the door to one cell, two operators must be present. There are two control panels where each one will execute his/her proper operation.
        • Base 2: Deleterious
          • Base 2 is powered by Green Compounds and contains dangerous items and/or objects. Also known as “Deleterious” who, if they come into contact with civilization can potentially harm it. They are often dangerous, but rarely seek victims.They are contained within an inch interior lining of steel, and a foot mixture of cement and rubber. There are 3 control panels and the same procedure is conducted like the first level.
        • Base 3: Perceptive
          • Base 3 is powered by Indigo Compounds and contains deadly or sentient objects and/or beings. They are also referred as “Perceptive” who are considered lethal to civilization. Individual contact must be avoided to the being and/or object. Their containments consists of a 5 inch interior lining of steel, 3 foot layer of cement, and outlining of brick. It is mandatory to have 4 control panels operating to open every 1 door.
    • Magic
      • Compounds can enhance human ability to unlock metaphysical/inner magic. Anything can be learned, but this magic cannot change a living thing. Biotic entities cannot be manipulated because their subconscious creates a barrier that stops any affect.
        • Examples such as: shapeshifting, mind control, vegetation manipulation, etc...
      • The only way to use Compounds is within weaponry or jewelry. Weapons use the energy as ammo while the jewelry infuses Compounds safely into the body to enhance metaphysical ability. Jewelry must be constantly touching the skin to function.
      • As energy is being used it returns to the environment. Therefore there is never more or less energy on the Earth; it is cyclical. Energy returns in storms, it does not return where there is a substantial amount of energy in the area. To influence this pattern, America has designated areas where the minerals are “clear cut” to create a lack in energy in order to prompt a storm.
