This is more of an origin story or a back story RP for some bigger idea I'm cooking up.
Setting:
The year is 20xx. We finally discover that we are not alone in this galaxy.
For almost a year, seemingly separate incidents of alien sightings have stormed through various mediums of information. The government forcibly tries to sweep this under the rug to prevent panic among the masses as they investigate further into this matter and learn more.
Peace was finally broken as aliens have now invaded Earth. One by one, countries fall as they were left unprepared due to their doubt and negligence.
The United Council of Nations(UCN), a council made up of the remaining superpower countries of Earth, have pooled their resources and formed the EDF in response to this attack. Soldiers and volunteers were drafted into this group in order to counter this alien invasion. Scientists, engineers, and other experts were gathered in an attempt to learn more.
You, as a soldier, will take part in various missions which range from evacuation, rescue, sabotage, espionage or all-out counter-strikes. You will belong to EDF's Alpha Team.
