William Braxton is a man of great wealth and power, but also great purpose. He is one of the richest men on the planet (net worth about $75 Billion).. He has secret departments, think tanks who work on secret projects, sometimes clandestine equipment for the CIA and black ops groups in the government. He is into the development of the space industry. He is a military contractor. (He’s a bit of a Lex Luthor, though perhaps with more noble purpose.)

Now his legacy and massive fortune will fall to his only son, James. James is incredibly gifted. Bright, young, athletic. He stands a solid 6’7”, built like his father. Played all sorts of sports. But he is also a spendthrift fool. He bought his own personal Batmobile. He hired Hans Zimmer to compose a symphony for his 21st birthday party. He does have his good points. He donates to children’s charities. He is a patron of the sciences.

He is also known for engaging in skiing, surfing, and snowboarding. He is a card carrying member of the SCA. He is part of some roleplaying groups. He engages in Airsoft. He is a manchild. But at least you know the guy can swing a lightsaber.

Maybe he is a bit of a fool. But he has a little potential. It was your impression that his father lost hope that his son would ever grow up and take responsibility - or that there is much of a chance there will ever be an heir unless something is done.

Your Character

Your family isn’t quite as rich (net worth about $65 Billion), and just as James is, you are the sole heiress to the family fortune should your father pass away. If the wealth of both families were to combine they would be vaulted to the top 3. So … your father and James’ father have conspired to set the two of you up.

It is up to you how your character has handled her wealth, whether she is a party animal or serious. Her father would be trying to prepare her to run the family business - and very probably Braxton’s as well. He doesn’t think much of James Braxton. But business is business.

You will need a good CS. You will be briefed about James, coached by your father, if you are the sort who would allow herself to be coached. If too headstrong the fathers may just throw the two of you together.
