Character Name: Ben Agnew

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Height: 175 cm

Appearance:
weeb.jpg

Character Strengths: Unbiased, empathetic, and patient.

Character Flaws: Lazy, pacifistic, and insecure.

Personality: Ben has been one of the more odd students in the DWMA. While he's a very reserved person, unwilling to communicate unless forced to, talking to him is pleasant... at first. The conversation will take a strange turn after Ben asks a question of his own. Ranging from the pronunciation of tomato to will frogs turn into princes once you kiss them. If anything from his questions, Ben is just a very curious person. Despite his curiosities, he'll refrain from asking these questions to people who he is not familiar with. This is because he doesn't want people to feel uncomfortable around him and being nervous of other people's thoughts about him. Though his curiosities usually get the better of him.

The one thing that Ben dislikes the most is conflict. He hates whenever people argue and dislikes fighting in general. Due to his insecurity, he'll most likely not intervene unless it gets a little extreme. It also keep silent and agree if he's engaged in an argument. He takes things with a side of salt before moving on. That being said, he's mainly unbiased in most interactions. He'll admit that he's wrong when he's wrong, or in many cases always admit he is wrong in every scenario, and attempt to understand someone's perspective. When it comes to fights he'll mainly pull his punches against people. Though if the chance of death is there he will use go for the kill.

How are you associated with the DWMA? Student Meister

Time at the DWMA: Throughout the first half of the semester, Ben wasn't talked to much. Due to his weird tendencies to ask weird questions, in-depth, they mostly made short quick conversations before walking away. Ben didn't mind this kind of treatment as it was their choice to avoid him. That didn't mean he didn't have friends. While his friends were few, he was happy with them. Due to his personality, he was able to pair up with most weapons. Though his performance with them were average at best. His grades were significantly lower than the majority, due to his laziness in following through with his studies and often got lectures about improving himself. When he heard that witches were coming, he didn't care that much and continued on relaxing.

Rank: 1 star

Weapon Type: N/A

Fighting Style: Being the pacifistic type of guy, Ben prefers to disabling his targets rather than out right killing them. While he prefers the tactics of hit and run, he'll often try to compliment his weapon's or another meister's fighting style. Killing is often his last resort or an extreme he's willing to do. However under direction, he'll adapt to it and perform how he is told to do so.

Abilities:

Soul Perception: His soul perception is below average compared to other meisters due to the fact he was rather lazy in practicing the skill. This give him a short range of perceiving another being's soul, making it difficult to identify them.

Magic Resistance: Ben has an innate resistance to magic due to special properties in his body. While his magic resistance doesn't nullify the full extents of magic, it can does reduce the damage inflicted or caused by magic. This ability can shared through soul wavelengths.

Wave Length Control: Unlike is lackluster soul perception, his talent in wave length control is above average. While unable to efficiently use certain skills that require training, (soul menace, etc), he has the potential to be very deadly. However, like his skills in soul perception, he practices very sporadically and doesn't make that much progress with his wave length control.

Backstory:

Ben Agnew was born into the Agnew family. The Agnew family were renown for making exceptional meisters due to their training and their inherit resistance to magic. The latest generation of Agnews were Ben Agnew and his older brother, Andrew Agnew. Andrew Agnew seemed to possess quite the talent compared to his younger brother when he grew older. He possessed incredible skills as a meister and granted the best results. It didn't help that he had an overly charismatic personality that made people warm up to him. All of these talents, achievements, and love often made Ben feel envious. His family favored his brother, his brother had lots of friends, and got along with people all of the time in comparison to his more few friends, average talent, and odd personality. Gradually Ben came into terms with his feelings and became more reserved about his feelings. While Andrew had more than he had, he decided to be content with what he had. His family loved him, his annoying older brother doting on him, and at least he had friends. Plus being mad at Andrew for being great at his job was a bad reason to begin with.

Though as time went on his father made the decision, one of his worst decision in Ben's opinion, to send Ben to the DWMA. Initially upset with his decision, Ben protested his appliance to the DWMA to his father. Making arguments such as he wasn't good enough, Andrew is already a meister so what should be one, and he'll die if he gets sent to an actual mission. His father founded all of his arguments as excuses and had his maids pack Ben's bags. This lead to Ben making a few rash remark before leaving to got to the DWMA. His performance was lackluster just as Ben had expected. However, this was mainly due to lackluster attempts in studying. Overtime, Ben received a few letters from his father. All of them asking about his well being. While these letter did make Ben feel regretful, he ultimately didn't send a letter back to his father.

Character Name: Vladamir Yemun

be05f09d90ea02647ee4fd78c7bb5f9a.jpg
Age: 29

Gender: Male

Height: 6’4”

Character Strengths:
  • Sets very straightforward goals for both himself and his students
  • Values individual attention more than trying to teach everyone everything the exact same way as everyone else
  • Always dresses for success
  • Smooth and charismatic accent
  • Keeps things simple (firm K.I.S.S. believer)
Character Flaws:
  • Sometimes oversimplifies things
  • Doesn’t always have the time to give everyone the individual attention he wants
  • Wears too much cologne
  • Thinks explosions solve a lot more than they actually do
  • Holds grudges
  • HATES getting his clothes dirty

Personality: As a teacher, Vladamir is a very professional and straightforward individual. He believes in theories that describe everyone as having their own unique learning style and he likes to try to work with each student’s own way of learning and growing. Unfortunately, that isn’t always possible and thus becomes a frequent source of stress for him. He also runs out of time quite frequently and sometimes ends up holding students late which can lead them to dislike him.

As an individual, Vladamir is a fashionista to many extremes. He’s always trying out new outfits and always asking his coworkers what they think of his new looks. He’s been smacked on the head by Lord Death many times because of it, and even that doesn’t stop him from continuing in his ways. He wears too much cologne and doesn’t care when people complain about it.

As a Death Scythe, Vladamir is decisive and goal directed. He knows he’s not Death’s chosen weapon form and he knows that in order to truly maintain the title of Death Scythe, that means he has to help out with other roles. Namely… hunting witches, eyeing kishin souls on the verge of becoming kishin and keeping tabs on other organizations within their universe that might threaten the peace that the DWMA seeks. He tries to teach his students to do the same, although to varying levels of success.

How are you associated with the DWMA? Vladamir is a professor and a death scythe.

Time at the DWMA: He’s been a teacher for the past 7 years.

Rank: He’s a weapon, so technically he doesn’t have a rank. He’s a death scythe. That’s his rank.

Weapon Type: A cannon (yes… like on a pirate ship)

Fighting Style: Vladamir fights independently most of the time using partial transformations of varying forms. He can blast small cannonballs with just the power of his own soul. He can transform his legs into wheels to move faster. He can create and manipulate varying fuses of varying lengths. It’s quite an interesting sight. Vladamir also is not a bad martial artist.

Abilities: Partial Transformations

"We witches need to stick together in a place like this. You can call me Cleo."
3f1679082f28d04328d5c6b8a11ca46b.jpg
Character Name: Cleopatra "Cleo" Levine

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Height: 5'9"

Appearance:
Cleo is a tall and lean teen. She has red eyes and short black hair. She has a punk-gothic style and wears two black tops, black shorts, black sneakers, a spiked choker with a cat bell, and straps on her arms. She uses magic to give herself black cat ears, a black short-haired tail, and claw-like fingernails in her witch form.

Character Strengths:
  • Sisterly, especially toward the other DWMA young witches.
  • Generally friendly.
  • Sticks up for her friends.
  • Doesn't want to turn evil.

Character Flaws:
  • The pull of magic causes her to destroy things in a feline manor.
  • She has a sadistic nature deep down.
  • She doesn't like to talk about her problems.
  • She puts too much stock in her nightmares, fearing that they are an accurate depiction of the future instead of a manifestation of her subconscious fears.

Personality:
Cleo is a jaded teen. She's not very enthusiastic about anything and maintains a serious looking expression on her face. She talks in a deadpan kind of way and isn't the biggest chatterbox, but she does speak in a blunt way and says what she feels she needs to; Although, she doesn't like to be vulnerable and tries to avoid opening up about her personal problems. She gives off the air of a punkish-older-sister; she doesn't usually show her affection (friendly or otherwise) through words, but through actions instead (such as just hanging out). Knowing what it's like to be a witch she wants to form a tight nit group with the other DWMA witch students.

Her witch nature is destructive. When the urge to destroy becomes too much, she tends to let it out in a feline-like way. Shredding furniture or, more healthily, a scratching post. She likes to keep her fingernails sharp and sometimes absentmindedly runs her fingernails across her desk, She has other feline traits such as liking to sleep, purring when happy, and hissing when being confrontational or angry. The most dangerous aspect of her witch's nature is her sadistic pleasure in using her claws. Most of the time a fight has to last long enough to work up to this. In the moment she feels no remorse, but seeing the aftermath is another story. Cleo loves and fears her darker side. She's haunted by nightmares of becoming a completely evil witch and doesn't want them to become a reality.

How are you associated with the DWMA? New Witch Student

Time at the DWMA: New

Rank:

Fighting Style: Cleo is a quick and agile fighter that uses her fingernails like cat claws to scratch her opponents. She's more of a close combat, but has some magic slash attacks that make her and effective fighter up to mid-range. She can also bite, punch, kick, grapple, or trip up her opponent. She relies more on speed and savagery over strength.

Abilities:

Magic:
Cleo is a Short-Range Witch that utilizes feline-like magic.
  • Transformation Magic: Black Cat: Cleo can transform fully into a black cat or partially transform, giving herself feline characteristics and senses.
  • Claw Magic: Cleo enhances the durability of her fingernails, allowing her to cut through things like a sword, and forms claw slashes with magical energy for mid-to-close-range fighting.

Backstory:
Cleopatra is the daughter of a Close-Range feline-like witch named Bastet and grew up in the Witch's Realm. Her mother trained her how to use her magic. As a younger Witch, she didn't agree with the blind hatred that the older witches had, but she didn't dare to talk about it unless only young Witches were around. Once Cleo reached her teenage years, she was deemed ready to leave the Witch's Realm and became her mother's lackey.

Cleo helped her mother set her plans in motion. None of them had any grand purpose other than satisfying her destructive nature. Cleo helped her mom find eligible bachelors that Bastet would end up torturing and kill. One time Bastet decided to go on a murder spree in a village and wanted Cleo to participate. "It'll be a good way to show your magical prowess," Bastet said. "And it'll be fun too." "If you say so...," Cleo replied with a teenager's lack of enthusiasm.

Cleo's sadistic side showed itself during the murder spree and she ended up drawing just as much blood as her mother; but while she had enjoyed the feeling of her claws ripping flesh in the moment, looking at the aftermath left a bad taste in her mouth. "Now then, off to the next playground...," Basted announced, escorting them away from the village.

Cleo began to have second thoughts, but kept them to herself. Was all this just a sick game for her mother? After that event she began to be haunted by nightmares. She saw herself on another killing spree, but this time she had the look of a cold blooded killer as she looked at her handiwork. Fearing that she could end up becoming like her mother one day, Cleo came to the conclusion that staying with the Witch's Order would lead her down a dark path. "You want to protect Witches? Why not protect them from themselves...." She patiently waited for her mother's next scheme. She acted like she was playing along, but took the first chance she got to run away.

She hid away in the forest and started to think about the next move she wanted to make, admittingly she hadn't thought things through very well. After a couple days of hiding, her cat-like senses picked up the sound of movement. The scent didn't smell like her mother. Cleo got ready to ambush and almost pounced on the young woman. She was a young Witch too, but didn't seem hostile. The young Witch introduced herself as Jacy. She invited Cleo to join the Death Weapon Meister Academy. Cleo knew that joining would make her an enemy of the Witch's Order, but she saw the DWMA as a good place to learn how to walk a better path in life and accepted the invitation.

Character Skeleton

Character Name: Alain 'Benny' Benedict

Age: 12

Gender: Male

Height: 4'9

pls work.png

Alain is a small spindly youth, with pale skin, a pair of baby blues and a mop of sandy hair.

Character Strengths:

- Understanding and Sympathetic
- Honest
- Loyal
- Honorable
- Hard Working

Character Flaws:

- Innocent and naive
- Prone to frequent napping
- Shy
- Too forgiving
- Sensitive
- Prone to daydreaming
- Easily frightened
- Affection starved
- Tends to bite off more than he can chew
- Doesn't like to let things go until they're resolved
-Might have a bit of a Savior Complex

Personality:

Alain Benedict is a boy on the straight and narrow, from a pious upbringing. He's never one to instigate conflict, but has an unhealthy penchant to butt into it at a whiff of injustice. Otherwise he's a cheerful individual, a happy listening ear, and a bundle of optimism. He's always looking for a way to help, often ending up as a gopher or a teachers pet. Alain likes to be around other people, but is content to be in the social background. He will however respond quite strongly to affection, praise, and touch.

In a fight, he insists on being in the action, and will become quite upset if others attempt to keep him safe by putting him in the back lines. A shield can only protect what it can reach after all. He wants very much to be taken seriously.

How are you associated with the DWMA? (New Witch Student, Student Meister, Student Weapon, Professor)
Student Weapon
Time at the DWMA:
Half a Semester
Rank: (This should be 1-star if you’re a student and 3-star if you’re a teacher. Leave blank if witch.)
1-star
Weapon Type:
An ornate round shield
boyyyy3.jpg

Fighting Style: The same way he lives. By refusing to back down, and throwing himself in the forefront to protect others. His martial skill is sub-par, but he can take a surprising beating while alone with his partial transformation. When being wielded as a shield, he lacks the offensive capability of other weapons, but is capable of blunt force damage and being thrown Captain America style.

Abilities: (Describe your magic if you’re a witch. Soul perception? Partial transformations? Soul force? Made up abilities may be accepted, but may also be declined depending on GM discretion.)
-Partial Transformation.
-Healing Soul Wavelength
-Grigori Soul
- Untrained Soul Perception

Backstory:
Alain Benedict comes from a prestigious line of Demon Weapons, his mother having achieved the status of Death-scythe before her untimely death. His father Silas Benedict, a 3 Meister and Professor at the DWMA has obscured the cause of her death from his only son, and has asked others to respect this. Alain spent his earliest years in Switzerland, but by five years of age with the death of his mother what was left of the family retreated to Death City, Nevada. Benny is quite familiar with Death City, and never once has questioned that he'd be attending the DWMA, even before his weapon manifested.

The day it did was a dark day within the Benedict household. Expecting for his father to exhibit pride or excitement, instead it seemed to wake demons within Silas. He took up the bottle after 6 years of being sober, and grew distant from his son. It only grew worse with the news that Lord Death planned to admit witches into the DWMA. This lead to a number of arguments in between them, culminating in Alain's enrollment into the DWMA and dorm housing in order to 'liberate' himself from his father. He still respects the man, and he never struck Alain in anger, but it simply grew too much for him to bear.

Character Name: Kapra Reynoldsa77278d633896bd9f498a0bd4459a4ac.jpg
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Height: 183cm. / 6'0*

Appearance: Kapra is a slightly above-average standing person in height, her skin taking upon earthly tones and hair a sitant black, styled into a braid. She dresses in a white, barely oversized robe that cascades all the way to her feet. Combined with a rather stereotypical pointy hat, her outfit serves to seem almost cliché in nature. Her eyes are a deep emerald colour, horizontal slits replacing the usual pupil. Her build and stature are athletic and lightly defined, as she puts a fair amount of effort into her physical being.

Character Strengths: Determined, strong-willed, compassionate, optimistic, encouraging, fair-played.

Character Flaws: Short-sighted, stubborn, occasionally loud-mouthed, aggresively competitive, not very perceptive to cues of any sort, nor the most intelligent.

Personality: Kapra is an energetic person, always in a rush to improve her capabilities. Once she sets a goal for herself, she will stop at very little to achieve it. At the same time, she is always ready to encourage the people around her to do the same. When it comes to a problem, she will aim to solve it with the most straightforward solution, whatever it may be, causing her to occasionally stutter when things go beyond just being punchable away. Just as she is confident in herself, she finds confidence in her friends and goes out of her way to draw it out of them with whatever she deems as support. However, pervertive of this is the slight nagging at the back of her head, where she might issue a competition out of even the most banal things, to "destroy the competition" in. Leaving opponents biting the dust grants Kapra immense gratification and at times it becomes a struggle to not ruin friendships through this drive. A part of her confidence is also the loudness that she tends to arrive with, saying things as they pop up in her head. While these are generally well-meant, nothing stops them from often being unnecessary or even rude in the worst circumstances.

Kapra is hard-working and always trying to look for the best in things. While lacking mentally, she builds up her physique with any chance she gets, being particularly fond of climbing. She holds pride in her body and health, and loves to prove it too. In combat, or any other challenge for that matter, she appreciates fairness and honesty, holding a hatred for cheating and deception. Whether this comes from her inability to participate in those two or a sense of justness is up in the air, really. She loves meeting new people, as every soul offers a different set of challenges, although the people that she enjoys the most are those who participate in the same fields of sport and health as her. While her self-esteem is mostly good, there is an underlying susceptibility to outside words of doubt and disbelief expressed towards her.

How are you associated with the DWMA? New Witch student.
Time at the DWMA: New.
Rank: N/A

Fighting Style: On account of the nature of her magic and mentality, Kapra charges into battle as a frontline tank, up in the enemy's face with unrelenting force. From grappling anywhere to the good old-fashioned punching, she will make sure to occupy an opponent uncompromisingly, until they yield or are no longer capable to. When needed, she can also not only protect herself with magic, but also any vulnerable allies. The biggest drawback of this fighting style is just how straightforward it is, as one can very hardly expect any mind games from the witch.

Abilities:
Magic - Kapra's magic is themed after the american Mountain goat, acting primarily for defense or the amplification of physical strikes.
Protective coating - Kapra can summon protective clouds of magic around her body, resembling incredibly fluffy fur. These clouds serve as airbags of sorts, protecting against slashing and blunt force effectively, however, proving very susceptible to piercing. When destroyed, these clouds burst into a blast of hot steam, which can also be done voluntarily by the witch.
Transformation magic - While Kapra is fully capable of assuming the form of a mountain goat, generally she will only ever assume horns and hooves during combat. Related, her pupils allow her to hold an impressive field of vision, albeit with limited verticality.

Backstory: Kapra was born outside of the Witches' realm, out of wedlock or relationship, to an individual on their own, personal undercover mission. This lead to a mother who paid little attention to her child, and while she was still trained in the sphere of magic, most of her childhood was spent traversing an urban setting, alone. Within it, she grew most fond of sports fields, martial arts stadiums and gyms, where she also spent a good portion of her time. She made her way around with the apathetic help of her mother, who presented her with above-spare change under the pretense that she was a nuisance best kept occupied somewhere elsewhere and away. Under these circumstances, she grew well-attached towards the populace that surrounded her, which made it a bit of a hitter when she discovered the seemingly intended purpose of her kind towards humanity and its allies.

This arose from the bitter culmination of a friendly rivalry in a junior ring. During an intense and draining match, a certain tugging arrived in Kapra's mind. She had never experienced thrill like this before, and the only thing occupying her thought-process eventually became to beat her opponent senseless, leave him humiliated in the dirt. As blind flashes began to cloud her vision, the mind left opening for impulse. Impulse that was promptly given way to, as within a single second, the battle unceremoniously found itself over. The witch had conjured and burst a protective cloud from upon her fist, as her opponent quickly stumbled back, clutching his face, eventually toppling over onto the ground. This left her standing with a proud smile, breathing heavily and audibly. Yet, it wouldn't even take the red haze to descend as a realization started to slowly settle in, medics rushing to carry away the injured boy and the crowds growing rowdy in uproar. With this hint, Kapra scrambled fast to meet her mother, before word would have chance to spread about the incident.

More annoyed than upset, her mother found it fitting to finally properly explain all there was to the life of a witch, including their basal instinct, and perhaps even transfer her to the Realm if the mishap made local headlines. For a few moments, as the explanations were thoroughly given, Kapra found it hard to try and contest them, given what had happened. Still, the sympathies she had grown to harbour had grown too far by that point, so rather than giving in, she decided to never let such a major witch-up repeat itself. Thus, the next day, Kapra secretly snuck out of the house in an attempt to reconcile with the town that had served as her home for all of her life. However, as fate would have it, this attempt was met with hostility and doubt, and the only other option left was to hide away somewhere else around the world. There, in hiding, she was eventually met by an invite from a witch she had never seen before, to journey to Shibusen and restart there, to which she promptly agreed.

“Um... I’m Grace. I-I mean Erica Grace.”

What is your official DWMA Nickname? “We’re The Axe Twins! The Tag-ins. Hallbirds, as guys used to call us. They seemed to think it was clever. Our official nicknames are confusing though. I am Axel Grace and she is Hunter Grace. You see, Grace got mixed up as our last name when we first joined the academy.”

Gender: “We’re girls, silly.”

Height: “Well I’m 5’4, but Erica might be an inch taller. Every time we check the shorter one becomes the taller one.”

Hair Color: “Can’t you see Erica has black hair? We’re blondes, but we aren’t stupid! So don’t even think of making any jokes.”

How many years have you attended the DWMA? “This is our seventh year!”

Personal Profile

What would others say are your strengths? “Well people say Erica and I are a really good team. Twins can’t read each other’s minds or anything like that… or at least I hope they can’t, ‘cause we can’t, but I guess we just think alike. We have different skills too that make it easy to chose who does what. Like Erica’s really good at stealthy stuff. I mean, she could be a ninja, or a spy or something. I’m not bad at it either, but I’m better at… I don’t know, being a leader I guess. Erica doesn’t like to talk as much as I do. We’re both pretty smart though too. There’s just a lot.”

What would others say are your flaws? “F-Flaws? Are you saying we’re not cute? *Sniff* Ahahaha! I’m just kidding. Well, we’re sisters, so we don’t always get along. Actually, being twins makes it pretty rough sometimes. You know, ‘cause sometimes we start thinking life is a competition and stuff. Then one of us is always left feeling bad. But I love my sis! She’s my best friend too. I know, it’s hard to understand, but whatever. Also, we’re girls. So I guess we’re not the strongest either. I mean, we could be if we really worked at it, but I’m too lazy. I’d rather sit down and read a good book. Speaking of which, I like to talk a lot too. And I might get a little spacey at times. So I can get off track. Maybe that’s why I talk so much. Is that why you’re always so quiet Erica? Oh wow, see what I mean?”

Describe your personality in 2 paragraphs or more: “As you can probably tell, I’m pretty talkative. I’m Grace if you forgot by the way. It’s going to be hard to talk just about me, but I’ll do my best. I’m a little spacey, but it usually doesn’t cause a problem. Guys irritate me sometimes, but I usually try to see things from their perspective before yelling at them ‘cause culture and nature tend to make us think differently. And I guess girls can be idiots sometimes too, but surely not as much.

Also, I’m a really active person. I don’t mean active as in I exercise a lot. Rather, I just like to have fun. So I help plan school activities, join clubs, go on adventures with friends, read books, and all sorts of other cool stuff. That’s me in a nutshell. I don’t want to bore you with all of the stupid details.”

“I-I’m Erica. I don’t know what my sister said, but… I get nervous around people. I like to have fun and want to be with people. I just feel like I’m gonna mess up or something. ‘Cause if I say the wrong thing, people might catch on to who I am and not want to spend time with me anymore.

I spend a lot of time studying and trying to help out my sister, ‘cause she’s usually really nice to me, but she doesn’t know yet. She doesn’t know what I really am. I just hope there’s someone out there who will accept me for who I really am and still treat me like they do my sister.”

What do you like? “We love reading, and animals. Erica likes cats especially. I don’t really care as much though. I also like spending time with friends. Not in crazy parties or anything like that, but doing really fun things like games or adventures or lunch. Something like that. I like helping people too. I don’t always feel that way, but most of the time. So does Erica.”

What don't you like? “Well, Erica doesn’t like to talk so much. We also can’t stand inequality and a kishin. I don’t like bugs much either. They just give me the creeps. Oh, and I don’t like gore a whole lot, which is a real challenge since I’m an axe.”

Give a 3 to 5 paragraph biography: “Erica and I were born in Scotland. I was born late at night and Erica came early the next morning according to mom. We were heirs to some forgotten line of royalty. So we were technically princesses, but we didn’t live in a castle or anything like that. It was more like a farm, but it was fun and full of adventures. Back then Erica wasn’t so quiet. It wasn’t until she got sick one year around first grade. Then mom and dad had to send her off to a private hospital.”

Erica Grace Taghan: ”G-Grace can’t tell the truth ‘cause she doesn’t know it. The reason our birthdays are one day apart is because I’m a… a… I am a clone. I was made with the help of a witch’s magic. For all intensive purposes, I am her identical twin. However, from the moment I took breath, my purpose, my mission was to train as a spy and take down a tyrannical regime within Scotland. This regime planned to eliminate the world governments to create one government under a single leader. Who would lead people to equality, as they called it. However, it was only equality of conditions. They didn’t care for hard work and didn’t understand the realities of the human heart. Therefore they only held the world hostage. It was my mission to eliminate them, and I completed it. That is why my middle name was Grace. That way my name alone would cause trouble in the system, allowing me to create a better alias for myself. Now my duty is to… is to… I… um… I can’t do this anymore!”

“We never got to see Mom and Dad much cause they were always busy with political stuff, work, keeping the small town paparazzi out of our way, and tending the farm. Then a few months after Erica came back home… they disappeared. Neither of us knew what happened. After that, we were pretty much on our own. All we had was each other, which is one of the many reason’s I love my sister. We had caretakers of course, but they were just placeholders at that point.

When Erica was sick, we’d always write each other. Sometimes she’d come up with these crazy tales of outsmarting an army by sneaking past them and impersonating their general or something cool like that, but then she’d write back the next week about how that had just been a dream of hers. She had a lot of cool dreams. I guess being stuck in a hospital all day forces you to make up stories in your head.

I got to see her a few times when she was feeling well enough, but not too often. It wasn’t until the last year of middle school that she finally got better. I guess I should be thankful I didn’t get sick too. Although I wish I could have stayed with her at the hospital. We’ve never been closer though, and now we’re both here at the DWMA.

Erica Grace Taghan: "I-I’m sorry. It scares me. ’Cause I don’t know what to do. I already f-fulfilled my purpose. I’m only allowed to tell certain people, and they usually just want to ask a ton of questions. They always ask if I have a soul. Do I? M-My sister said that since I turn into a weapon, I gotta have a soul. I wish I didn’t have to lie to her though. She’s the only one I t-trust. There is one other thing, though. M-my sister doesn't like to talk about it much. When we were students, she... well, she murdered a professor when she had been infected with madness. The infection spread to me to eventually due to our fusion form, but she has it much worse. O-of course we're in control of it now. That doesn't mean its gone, though... never gone.”

How do you feel about the DWMA? “It gives us a place to learn about our powers while helping rid the world of evil. So we like it.”

Why have you joined the DWMA, what motivates you? “We hope to make a positive difference in the world with our skills and talents."

What are your goals while attending the DWMA? “Well, for as long as Lord Death wants us as professors, that should be pretty obvious. Other than that, though? Who knows."

Other

Personal Items: “Just the usual. Oh, and we have a cat named Wallace that used to stay at home, but now we let him roam around the classroom too."

Character Name: Azuman Notomorinos

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Height: 5'9

Appearance:
66219296_1615218328627763_1427447339433314254_n.jpg
Character Strengths: Warrior Spirit, Comrade in arms, Playful, Supportive Ally

Character Flaws: Simple-Minded, Battle-Lust, can be overbearing with his attempts to incite battle, can be easily lured into bad situations by the promise of combat,

Personality: Azu's about as battle-hungry as they come. He's come to the Academy for one thing and one thing only, an excuse to get involved in as many battles as he can. As such he can be quite the livewire, often seeking any excuse to challenge someone to a fight. He doesn't even really care for the outcome of most fights, as just getting to experience combat seems enough of a win for him. When not trying to goad people into fighting him, he can be downright jovial, just looking for a few laughs and to hang out until the next battle. He's capable of being quite playful and witty in between fights, though he can sometimes abuse this ability in order to urge people to attack him. Though this can make him endearing to some, it's not exactly the best series of traits for learning. His constant battle-lust gives him little defense against boredom, and so he can often be out-willed through patience alone. He feels a sense of camaraderie for other fighters, and so will often celebrate others for their combative abilities.

How are you associated with the DWMA?: Student Weapon

Time at the DWMA: About half a semester has passed since Azuman's joined the student body

Rank: 1-Star

Weapon Type: An excessively large spiked mace that requires suitable strength in order to make full use of its devastating blows.

Fighting Style: Despite being a weapon, Azu's spent enough time without a Meister to adopt close-combat brawling. Making use of his weapon form's spikes, he just can't wait to get in close and start swinging. Though not the most agile even outside of his weapon form, Azu's got enough talent for overwhelming offense to compensate.

Backstory: Azu's combative nature was developed really early, in fact it started right from the moment that he discovered her could transform. At first he was just satisfied with letting his pals swing him around wildly, mess ruin displays and chase off the occasional feral animal, but Azu desired more. Breaking stuff in his weapon form was fun, but it wasn't enough. His dissatisfaction led to a falling out with his friends which culminated in a fight. As Azu was used to being used so much, he was absolutely unprepared to be on his own against superior numbers, and promptly got thrashed. But Azuman recalls this as one of the most important moments of his life.

That very first beating ignited in Azuman a hunger for combat unlike no other. Without anyone to use him, he settled on figuring out how to fight on his own. So began a formula he began following until this very day, where he'd seek people he could goad into attacking him so that he could fight. At first it was just an interest, but as time went on Azuman began devoting more and more of his persona to the art of combat. Interest became obsession and soon Azu was a bona-fide brawler duking it out regularly, he'd even managed to incorporate his weapon from into his fighting quite effectively. But that soon wasn't enough either, and his aims became a little more ambitious. Azuman saw the Academy as a source of combat that he could indulge in whilst also aiding people, an absolute win-win scenario. What sane warrior could refuse?

Character Name:
Tosomore 'Todo' Ariquando

Age: 55

Gender: Female

Height: 6'2

Appearance:
Ce7jEMIW8AE_0L9.jpg
Character Strengths: Intuitive, Hopes to Expand her Knowledge, Straightforward, Stalwart Willpower

Character Flaws: Can't quite understand the value people place on things like inanimate objects or people they don't know. Has a tendency to casually defile graves in her free time. Is straightforward to a fault, as she will casually state things she's thinking both positive and negative. Ignores a number of social norms out of sheer disinterest. Stubbornly refuses to wear anything besides her comfy straight-jacket. Her Curiosity can be intrusive.

Personality: Todo is driven by her curiosity, something she had to keep in check with the Order. She interacts with others through query and commentary, often through a consistent monotone. She's not one to shy away from something, even her own odd choice of apparel, but as a result she can actually be quite a source of information. She will react to most things to the same passive curiosity that's gotten her through so much of her life so far. A scholar at heart, Todo's got quite the appetite for information, able to store nearly anything in the repository that is her mind. Though she's not one to act friendly, her curiosity will often lead her to interact with others, whether that be to answer one of her questions on them or someone they know. Ever since leaving the Order, Tosomore's become even more inquisitive than before. Though she's not exactly the most altruistic type, she still joined up because she desires more than anything to understand the world around her, even the parts that don't exactly make sense to her.

How are you associated with the DWMA? New Witch Student

Time at the DWMA: New

Fighting Style: Todo's able to perform Necromancy, and so will often just throw hordes of undead minions at opponents whilst keeping a safe distance. If pressured, she will take the time to raise stronger spirits and poltergeists, but these can't be done as rapidly or effectively as zombies or corpse monsters.

Abilities: Tosomore's a thorough Necromancer, capable of summoning a number of corpses and spirits to do her bidding. She can fashion weapons from corpses, as well as other tools and armor if given enough time. Though not exactly her strongest ability, she's also capable of some extremely short range telekinesis, which she often uses to supplant the restriction of her arms.

Backstory: Todo's childhood could easily be summed up as... reclusive. Her mother wasn't exactly the most responsible parent, and had several of her minions raise her through her first years life while she went back on her regular rampages. Todo didn't mind, those minions were fun. She had big dead guys chase them around for a while until they'd start reading to her. As she grew, Todo would cut them out of the equation, having picked up literacy through her semi-solitude. Eventually she outgrew those minions, who'd been worn down to the point where her mother had to replace them. Todo liked the newer ones, they fought off her big dead guys much better than the last ones. Finding dead creatures capable of beating them became her new hobby while she continued trying to expand her knowledge, as it was one of the few things she could do consistently.

This cycle of minions and development occurred for quite some time, with Todo's mother showing up every now and then to determine that her daughter did in fact still exist. Eventually relenting after a particularly good rampage, the cycle came to somewhat of a stop once her mother began talking her on her rampages. But she'd often just stick Todo in the nearest graveyard to 'Play with her toys while Mommy had her fun.' It was humiliating, and did nothing to scratch Todo's underlying desire for destruction, and so she developed a coping mechanism. One that involved her pretty much tearing entire graveyards apart like a child destroying clay sculptures. On the plus side it made all her dead toys look way cooler, but it was nothing like the absolute party her other would always have.

But Todo sat on her feelings for another two dozen years, until her mother was eventually charged with some crimes against the Order and fled. Todo wasn't exactly sure what she did, but she couldn't bring herself to care enough to look into it. Eventually falling under the guidance of another Elder Witch who was much more willing to actually guide her, Todo was finally free to join in on violent acts actually perpetrated against actual innocent civilians. And it was great... at first, but her surrogate mother found out something about Todo extremely quick. She just kept asking questions about their victims. She tried her best, oh boy did she try, but Todo's constant confusion over the actions of their victims became grating, then infuriating, then outright maddening. This culminated with her surrogate guide scolding Todo frequently, declaring that one shouldn't concern themself with the pitiful mannerisms of sheep or something. She said that Todo could never get her answers as she was, and that she would do much better to just shut up and enjoy the mayhem.

Todo found that reply unsatisfactory, and Jacy's new initiative for Witches like her seemed far more capable of answering her questions, so she just up and went for it.

THERE'S NO POINT TWIDDLING YOUR THUMBS WITH TIME PASSING YOU BY.

Character Name: Ray Pederson

Age: Fifteen

Gender: Male

Height: 5'9" (175.3 cm)

Character Strengths:
> Kindhearted
> Honest
> Flexible / Adaptable
> Supportive
> Sound Mind; Isn't shaken easily

Character Flaws:
> Brutally Honest - Can be downright cruel
> For all his flexibility, he can be decidedly stubborn
> Impulsive
> Struggles to be empathetic
> Extremely Impatient

Personality: An ostentatiously bold sort of individual whose entire existence could be best described as 'unrestrained'. Genuineness and honesty are the two things he holds dear and he has little to no patience for those who can be neither with him. He holds to the ideology that life is too short not to be his truest self, which while being a well-meaning mentality, can make him somewhat offputting to those who aren't used to his unfiltered commentary. That isn't to say he is complete unaware of the need to utilize tact in certain situations, his time at DWMA helping to encourage him to mature enough to realize that not everything should be vocalized. Still, for the most part, what you see is what you get from Ray. One needs not to worry whether or not Ray likes them or not - if there was any dislike, you would know.

While he was come-off as 'difficult' or even 'rude', Ray is actually quite kind-hearted deep down, most of his motivations in even going to DWMA being to help protect those who cannot manage to protect themselves. He has a firm set of morals that he lives by and is not so easily swayed away from them. For all of his jovial mannerisms and his over-the-top antics, Ray is nothing short of reliable when his brashness can be overlooked. In him, a loyal friend and a devoted partner can be found.

How are you associated with the DWMA?
Student Weapon

Time at the DWMA: By the time witches are finally admitted into the DWMA, Ray will be coming upon two and a half years at the Academy.

Rank: 1-Star

Weapon Type: Rapier

Fighting Style: Thus far, due to Ray's inability to find a Meister whose wavelength matches to his own, his combative style has become exclusively hand to hand. Able to manage partial transformations, Ray either transforms his right leg or left arm mid-combat for reinforced and dangerous attacks against assailants. His fighting style is just as flashy as his appearance and his nature, littered with agile acrobatics as he all but dances around his opponent(s). Given he has yet to pair up with someone, it isn't too surprising he has developed a style to make him competitive on his own as a bladed weapon. It relies on quick transformations, as the blade itself is not firm enough to be used for effective defense due to its malleability.

Abilities:
> Partial Transformations (For a short period of time, as his control seems to be limited).

Backstory: A London-born weapon, the Pederson lineage is one that contains little to no notoriety. A simple, quiet and quaint family who came into the world as quietly as they exited it, very few members of Ray's family went on to do anything too particularly outlandish. Though Demon Weapons were a part of their family line, it seemed it remained dormant for years. In fact, by the time Ray's generation came into the world, the family had almost forgotten that it laid dormant in their blood. Or so they had, until Ray's birth. The first Demon Weapon in quite some time, his parents were equal parts thrilled and terrified. With no mentors readily available to help the child, much of his younger years were filled with trial and error. From tripping because he transformed his leg versus his arm to barely avoiding scratching his eye, it was a messy beginning. He never came to loathe being a demon weapon, however. While it did terrify him on more than a few turns, he embraced it wholeheartedly.

Death Weapon Meister Academy was known to the family, mostly because as soon as Ray had presented as a weapon his parents had contemplated sending him there. They were apprehensive, as neither wanted to send their child across the pond on his own since neither could abandon the life they had made for themselves in England. After dawdling on their answer, the decision had been made for his parents after a panicked, sobbing Ray came to them following an accident with his injured uncle in tow. Surely enough, provisions were made for their son to move to the United States and head to Death City, Nevada to formally enroll into the DWMA, making him the first in the family to attend the academy. He seemed to do well enough in the beginning, managing not to fall off the deep end as he adjusted to living in an entirely new country and spent whatever free time he had exploring Death City.

His first year managed to go without much fanfare, the biggest accomplishment being that he hadn't gotten expelled, really. Ever the social one, he managed to invade a few social circles and for the most part, could get along decently with the student body. The latest year was considerably more difficult for him, a combination of homesickness and a genuine struggle in certain subjects exhausting him far more than the entirety of his first year had.

Theme Song: Trials - STARSET

Character Name: Silas Benedict

Age: 36

Gender: Male

Height: 6'1

Appearance:
Swiss boy.png

Character Strengths:
- Firm
- Orderly
- Caring
- Well Motivated
- Brave
- Responsible

Character Flaws:

- Doesn't process emotion well
- Has a tendency to over complicate and conspire in order to solve problems
- Can be rigid and inflexible
- Stubborn
- Trending toward Alcoholism
- Overprotective

Personality: Silas expects the best out of his students. This is the DWMA, after all. He also gives his best to his students. He will push hard, because the life of a weapon meister team is hard, and dangerous...and deadly. He works to each student's strengths while helping them cover their weaknesses. And he couldn't sleep at night otherwise. Outside of his work... he's a mess. He can often be found either drinking, or working himself to the bone. He actively monitors students and lobbies Lord Death to make decisions that he feels have student safety in mind, especially those in his class. He finds the idea that witches with destructive magic are being enrolled dangerous and unnecessary, but will abide by Lord Death's decision and endeavor not to treat them hostility, or without compassion.

How are you associated with the DWMA?
Professor

Time at the DWMA: 5 years as a student, 10 as a professor with a hiatus in-between from him and his wife being stationed in Europe.

Rank: (This should be 1-star if you’re a student and 3-star if you’re a teacher. Leave blank if witch.)
3-Star

Fighting Style: Silas fights with area denial. He favors two handed weapons, having perfected a zone of control in which no enemy can enter without swift and violent retribution. He's an expert at holding the line, and protecting back lines. He can cleave at a horde just as well as he can duel a particularly strong foe. Silas is a type 1 utility meister, a skill he acquired before he met who would become his life long partner. However, Silas's strongest fighting style comes when working with a team, something he hasn't done in a long time.

Abilities:

- Soul Menace - Using a long two handed weapon leaves ample opportunity for sweeping attacks using Soul Menace to keep foes at a distance, and for decisive fight deciding blows.
- Soul Perception - Silas's soul perception has a decent range, and great detail, but what makes it so powerful is his ability to keep track of it passively. It is extremely hard to get the drop on him without the use of powerful soul suppression.
- Large Soul
- Grigori Soul

Backstory:

Silas grew up in Switzerland, having never heard of the DWMA until an invitation arrived on his doorstep. He had always aspired for the Swiss Guard, perhaps a little too much. However, his parents saw this as an opportunity, and sent him along state side. Silas excelled in school, and got along with anyone who met his expectations. Which was precious few at first. He saw many of his fellow students as taken to frivolity, and lacking in diligence and responsibility. Until one of them kicked his ass. She would go on to become what was supposed to be his life long love and partner.

Lyra and Silas were excellent partners. Lyra was the chaos to his order, the compassion to his justice. For 14 years they were inseparable. A loyal and fierce team in service of Lord Death. Lyra made Death Scythe at 17. They married at 22, and had a son shortly after, moving to Switzerland and allowing Silas to fulfill his life time dream, even if for a tour of 2 short years. But things would not remain so. Her violent death crushed the man, pushing him to the drink, and unemployment, until some acquaintances from the DWMA dragged the pair back to Death City.

More than anything in the world, Silas desired to protect his young son. For him to grow into a strong man, and a kind one like his mother. He fears that his son is too much like his mother, and it terrifies him, watching history seem to repeat itself. And he takes it as a personal failure that he's failed to expose his son to the evil in the world. Instead he focuses on preparing the next generation for war, as he prays desperately for peace. For his son and his students.

Character Name
: Kenny Allen

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Height: 5'10

Character Strengths:
- Determined
- Reliable
- Honest

Character Flaws:
- Quick-tempered
- Impatient
- Reckless

Personality: Kenny Allen is a loud, hot headed student. He tends to speak before thinking which often causes him to get into trouble with other students. He gets angry at himself and others very quickly as he hates it when he or others mess up. When angry, he never thinks about his actions or consequences and will act on instinct. Due to his nature, he has already build himself a nasty reputation and is known in the DWMA for being anger prone. Kenny isn't very good at working with others as he will try to do everything himself and won't ask for help. During classes, he isn't afraid to ignore the teacher and work on his own things. When scolded, he talks back and will retaliate.

Although Kenny can be hard to approach to he does have a soft side in him. If Kenny has done something wrong in battle, he will admit his mistakes instead of trying to deny it. He'll apologize and try his best to avoid making the same mistake. When he isn't angry, Kenny doesn't mind having conversations with others and will usually stay calm in those kinds of situations. It's very rare but Kenny occasionally smiles when he's in a good mood. Kenny respects his weapon and tries his best to rarely get mad at them as he wants to build a stable partnership instead of ruining it with his anger.

How are you associated with the DWMA? Student Meister

Time at the DWMA: Half a semester

Rank: 1 Star

Fighting Style: Destructive power is all Kenny thinks about when fighting. He will use explosive attacks that cause large crowd control damage. He won't think of a plan and will charge himself straight at the enemy. He prefers to adapt to the situation rather than carefully thinking of a plan as he thinks that following one will cause himself to panic if the plan derails.

Abilities:
Soul Force: Kenny's soul force isn't too strong and below the average student's soul force. He doesn't focus too much on this as he always relies on his demon weapon to attack.

Soul Perception: This is one of two abilities that Kenny focuses on. He trains his soul perception every day in order to get better at it. He wants to be able to see people with large powerful souls so he can fight them head on.

Soul Resonance: The ability that Kenny focuses on the most is soul resonance. He wants his demon weapon and himself to have a strong connection between them so he can unleash stronger attacks.

Backstory: Kenny grew up in a modest family with his parents and an older brother in a small town. As a young kid, Kenny always looked up to his elder brother. Kenny's brother was a gentleman, smart and everything you can ask for in a person. He was Kenny's role model and would mimic everything he did. Kenny's brother has always wanted to become a meister. He would train hard everyday and Kenny would always watch and admire him. Occasionally he would even join in. During this time however, Kenny never had a goal in life and was always fooling around. His parents would scold him many times for his behavior and compare him to his brother. "Act more like your brother" or "If only you were more similar to your brother" were the words he would often hear. It wasn't too long after Kenny was sick and tired of hearing them. This was the start of Kenny's explosive anger and nasty personality.

In hopes of never being compared to his brother once again, Kenny vowed to become a better meister than his brother who has now became a two star meister. He wanted to go above and beyond his brother to prove himself. He wasn't going to let anything stop him from becoming a meister. Kenny's brother was assigned to a mission far from his hometown that would last several years. Before his departure, Kenny told his brother that the next time they met, he would become a meister himself. This was Kenny's motivation that allowed him to keep on going. After finally enrolling in the DWMA, Kenny was faced with life changing news. His brother was missing in action. His demon weapon came back from the trip barely living but his brother was no where to be found. Having to accept all this, Kenny became frustrated and started to become angry more often. It was hard for him and he couldn't accept it. It was after several months and around halfway through the semester when Kenny finally accepted it. This didn't stop him from becoming a meister however. In fact, this made him become even more determined. He decided that he would still become a better meister than his brother and carry on his legacy.

Character Name: Isaac Kelsey

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Height: 6’0”

Appearance:

Isaac is tall and thin, but still well built, having a physique similar to that of one you'd find on a swimmer or runner. He has purple eyes and long, black, messy hair that he doesn't bother combing or dealing with in any real way aside from occasionally pulling the back of his hair into a small ponytail, usually when he's on a mission of some sort. Isaac is always seen wearing extremely heavy-duty make up on his face, either reminiscent of a clown or a skull depending his mood and what he's doing that day. As such, other than some of the higher ups at the D.W.M.A. such as Lord Death or the teachers, no one has seen what exactly Isaac is hiding underneath all the make-up. He is only ever found wearing jeans and either long-sleeved shirts or a jacket/hoodie over a t-shirt, though sometimes he does roll up the sleeves, which shows some faded scars all along his arms. On his right arm is a sleeve tattoo of a horse, a cat, and a dog winding around and playing with each other.

Character Strengths:
  • Eccentric in a goofy way.
  • Unfailingly loyal to Lord Death, and by extension, the D.W.M.A. in general.
  • Extremely protective about people he cares about, few those may be.
  • Surprisingly hardworking and dedicated when it comes down to it.
  • Almost always willing to lend a hand if he can.

Character Flaws:
  • Touched by a tinge of madness, which sometimes shows in day-to-day interactions.
  • Aforementioned tinge turns into full blown madness in regards to anything dealing with witches.
  • Has moments of literally zero impulse control.
  • Feels no need to conform to social or societal norms, which can cause problems.
  • Tends to be an enabler for bad habits that aren't extremely self-destructive.

Personality:
Contrary to Isaac’s general appearance, and his past, he is actually quite friendly and helpful, though some may beg to differ due to his eccentricity and sometimes unique ways of trying to help people. Nevertheless, Isaac isn’t intentionally malicious or mean towards anyone, and any cases where it seems like he is, is simply his own lack of caring and social awareness. Still, even with all that, Isaac is a genuinely nice and fairly laid back guy that tries to always add some levity to any situation, even when his thought process is just all over the place.

He does have a darker side, however, mostly scene on occasions where he seems to simply fritz and exude a feeling of madness, though this never lasts for longer than a few minutes at most, and most people who’ve interacted with him consistently seemed to have gotten used to his little episodes, or are willing to ignore them for whatever reason. This darker side goes even deeper when it comes to witches, as even saying the word in any way that isn’t negative seems to trigger one of Isaac’s episodes.

Suffice it to say, Isaac wasn’t anywhere near happy when he heard witches were to be allowed into the D.W.M.A., but his loyalty to Lord Death and the D.W.M.A. itself seems to triumph over his deep seated hatred for witches, and while he’s made no promises of treating the new witch students like he treats everyone else, its accepted that, at the very least, he won’t attack them, or even try to interact with them in the first place.

How are you associated with the DWMA? Student Meister

Time at the DWMA: 4 years

Rank: 1-star

Fighting Style:
Isaac doesn’t prefer head-to-head fighting, knowing that he is inherently disadvantage with his unique situation. While he is still fairly strong, and very quick, he mainly uses these traits, alongside his martial arts training, to open and exploit holes in his enemy’s defenses and then go for a single killshot. However, Isaac truly shines when given the chance to hide in the shadows and ambush an opponent, ending a battle before it becomes something long and tedious.

Abilities:
  • Partially Sealed Madness/Madness-Infected(Survivor) Wavelength: Isaac’s wavelength’s basic effect is to induce a madness of despair, while its corruption of his originally Survivor Wavelength causes the passive intensity of the madness to increase the more injured he becomes, affecting everyone around Isaac, himself included. Due to the seal Isaac's wavelength is weaker than someone else who has the same amount of experience and training and because of his wavelength's corruption he cannot use any one Weapon for longer than five minutes at a time at best.
  • Soul Perception: Isaac has focused on making his Soul Perception to be extremely detailed, as its range is very small due to the seals on his soul.
  • Soul Force: Isaac’s Soul Force is also infected with madness, due to being an extension of his wavelength, thus imparting more and more madness into anyone struck by him. However, Isaac's Soul Force is much weaker than someone with the same amount of experience and training.
  • Strong Soul: Partially Sealed/Suppressed and corrupted by madness
  • Martial Arts: Due to his lack of compatibility with pretty much every weapon, Isaac took it upon himself to learn various forms of CQC to offset his disadvantage.
  • Assassination Arts: Isaac’s main specialty and preferred form of combat, he employs the usage of stealth, martial arts, and small easily hidden weapons in conjunction with Soul Force.

Backstory:
Isaac was born in an extremely rural part of the British Isles, to a small humble family that, as far as they knew, never had a Meister or Weapon come out of it. So it was a surprise to all of them when he started to show fledgling signs of Soul Perception and Soul Force, but his family was content to let him enjoy his childhood as much as he could, and leave the choice of training to be a Meister to him when he grew up a bit more.

Unbeknownst to Isaac and his family, he had what was called a Strong Soul. This in of itself wasn't much of an issue, in fact, it could easily be called a blessing. The problem came from a Witch that was living in hiding nearby who had a vested interest in soul and madness experimentation.

It was around when Isaac was nine years old that the Witch caught wind of him. Within weeks of the news reaching her, the Witch had devised and executed a plan that resulted in not only the kidnapping of Isaac, but the death of his family as well, all while managing to make it seem like the result of an out of control fire that had spread across the countryside. Suffice to say, no one knew that Isaac was alive past that point for years to come.

For the next four years Isaac was constantly tortured and experimented on by the Witch, who was only bolstered by the fact that he had such a large and strong soul which allowed him to survive trials that had killed others easily. The worst part of it all was that the experiments were showing signs of success, as Isaac begin exhibiting a unique aura of madness that only got stronger over the course of his captivity, only supplemented by the fact that he previously had a Survivor’s Wavelength, not that either the Witch or Isaac could tell.

However, it was due to this very fact that Isaac was ever found or rescued in the first place. A passing Meister and Weapon duo had sensed an unusually high concentration of madness while they were travelling and went to investigate, in the fear that what they were feeling was a Kishin Egg on the verge of becoming a full-blown Kishin. What they found instead was the sickeningly overpowering smell of sterilizer, a cluttered lab, a haunted and scarred child that oozed despair, and the surprised Witch.

The ensuing fight between the Witch and the Meister/Weapon duo resulted in the destruction of the laboratory, and the presumed death of the Witch in the explosion that had destroyed the lab in the first place, though there was no body found. At the time, the Meister and Demon Weapon didn’t much care due to the traumatized and nearly catatonic madness child they had on their hands. Two days and one direct flight to Death City, Nevada later, found Isaac in the care of some of Death City’s best professionals, and at one point Lord Death himself, with the final goal of attempting to reverse what the Witch had done to him.

Unfortunately, the changes that had been forced upon him and his soul were quite permanent, and considering how dangerous such a constant source of madness would be to the inhabitants of Death City, as well as Isaac’s lack of anywhere else to be, ignoring that they wouldn’t let him out into the world in his current state in the first place, resulted in the partial sealing of his soul, and by extension, his soul wavelength.

Isaac would then spend the next one and a half years reacclimating himself to regular human contact while trying to find a semblance of normalcy in his life, mainly through the D.W.M.A. and its students and teachers. After being declared as stable as he would be for the foreseeable future, Isaac was finally allowed to start training with the rest of the students, only to quickly find that, because of his situation, he wasn’t fit to wield a weapon for any longer than five minutes, for the safety of not only the weapon, but himself as well. After learning of this, Isaac wasn’t discouraged, but instead focused on a different avenue, and began training to become an Assassination Meister for the two and a half years leading up to the start of the upcoming semester.

Character Strengths: Kamilia is very dedicated to what she does, she will not stop until she succeeds the best she can in whatever she is assigned. Kamilia is also very friendly toward strangers making her very easy to be around.

Character Flaws: Kamilia is very bull-headed. She tends to run into any noticeable trap there is. She also is very gullible; she’ll believe pretty much anything anyone says to her. When Kamilia gets really dedicated to something she won’t stop until she drops so basically if she is dedicated to beating anyone she won’t stop going after them until she or her opponent drops.

Personality: Kamilia is very friendly she is always open to communicating with others no matter who they are! Kamilia approaches students with the pep in her step and it’s one of those steps where if they aren’t all giddy and happy you something is wrong. Even with witches Kamilia approaches them with a lot of excitement some even say she approaches witches with more excitement than actual humans.

Kamilia is a very motivated student she is always eager to learn new things to make her a better meister. She’s that one student who asks nonstop questions even when the question doesn’t have anything to do with the topic she’ll ask it. A lot of other students find Kamilia’s energy to be quite a bit overwhelming.

How are you associated with the DWMA? Student Meister

Time at the DWMA: 1 year

Rank: 1 Star

Fighting Style: Kamilia is the type of meister who fights without knowing her limits like one of her flaws state she’s very bull-headed. When going against opponents she relies mainly on her speed. Something that she has always seemingly been good at when fighting is predicting her opponents moves. Kamilia is very quick on her feet so when choosing a weapon she’ll be more prone to choosing a weapon that is small and works with her speed.

Abilities: Weak healing Wavelength

Backstory: Kamilia at young age was abused by her birth parents and it was so much to the point where they literally broke off a piece of her soul doing so. At the age of four she was scared and trying to prevent herself being hit so she ran into the streets. Kamilia was found by a witch named Serenity who was quick to notice Kamilia was hurt so she turned Kamilia invisible before her father could find her.

Serenity was a Tanuki witch meaning they used magic for healing and they aren’t affected by the pull of magic, making them outcasts of the witch order. Serenity realized part of Kamilia’s soul was broken so she managed to use regeneration magic to replace the missing the missing piece however, the process made Kamilia lose the ability to take on weapon form. Therefore she can only function as a meister.

Kamilia’s time with Serenity was by far superior to what she had with her birth parents Serenity taught Kamilia little tips on magic despite her not knowing how to use them. At least they would be helpful when fighting against an evil witch. Serenity taught Kamilia never to be afraid to speak up and express herself she was always encouraged to face this life with a positive attitude. Serenity also helped Kamilia train for awhile before she thought it would be a good idea to enroll Kamilia into the DWMA. Through the training of Serenity Kamilia learned that she had a unique ability to predict another moves and was very quick on her feet.

It came around time for Kamilia to enroll in the academy and she was so excited! Kamilia found a few partners that come and gone because they found other more compatible meisters. None of this seem to get to Kamilia’s though she still enjoyed her professors and was always eager to learn. Kamilia actually made quite a name for herself with how energetic she is around the school, nobody can ever miss Kamilia.

[/div][div class="scrollbox page02"][div class=title]Strengths[/div][div class=text] Arthur is extremely lawful and bound by his moral code, of what he deems as right and wrong. As such he constantly defends what he deems as the truth, he roots for the underdog, and protects the weak from the strong, and good from evil. He's extremely quick to act and will blindly jump in to defend whoever he believes is the underdog. From this, he has an extremely strong and highly stubborn sense of will, one that's unmoved and untouched.
[/div]
[div class=title]Flaws[/div][div class=text] Part of what gives him his strength is also what makes him weak. Arthur is one track-minded and aggressive, it makes him easy to be manipulated and gullible. What he prides himself most on, his sense of justice tends to make him very dislike-able. He doesn't view himself as greater than anybody, but by just how loud and expressive he can be from his beliefs makes some people believe he thinks he's greater than everyone else. Due to his history with witches, he also finds them hard to get along with. Even the good ones, for him the tragedy of Manapoli is still fresh on his mind, so while he tries to not let it affect him, it will take him longer than other students to befriend witches. Arthur is also completely unwilling to run away, no matter how hard or how harsh the situation, as long as he can help it he will refuse to run. Unless other people could possibly get hurt, he then wanes and eventually agrees to draw back.[/div]
[div class=title]Personality[/div][div class=text] Arthur is a very boisterous and outgoing guy with a fondness for the expression of Manliness and Justice, often using both terms and variations of those terms constantly in his day to day life. He holds those who show a strong sense of justice, or a strong sense of manliness, including those who show strong determination and strong willpower move him to tears, and quickly gain his respect, admiration, and kinship. He's even able to respect those he deems as his enemy as long as they have the determination to strive for what they want. Just as he respects those with those attributes, he calls out aspects that are opposite of that. He pities weak-willed people who don't stand up for themselves, who don't have any honor, and who refuse to push for the right thing. But at the same time, he protects them, because he believes it to be the responsibility of the strong to protect the weak. He will never hate anyone for being weak, and will instead put himself in the position of being the staple of what a person should be so that others see how he is and strive to be like him. [/div]

[div class=text]Arthur is extremely kind-hearted and honest, with a strong sense of heroism and justice that he imposes on everyone, to the point where it becomes a bit annoying. He's also a very understanding an open person, allowing him to make friends with practically everyone, even those that most of everyone tends to stay away from. He's very dedicated to those who cares about, even going as far as suffering extreme pain and breaking the law for them, and feels great guilt and regret if he's not able to. At the same time he hates those who are willing to leave their friends, weak-willed or not, if you aren't willing to try your hardest for those you truly care about, he can't respect you. Especially if you have the strength to, and refuse to.

Arthur is extremely humble and doesn't think he has any really exceptional skills. Compared to those around him, he believes his strength, his power, and his actions, to be relatively dull. Because of his relationship with his father, constantly being ridiculed, as well as what happened to his mother, he never thinks he's good enough. It's part of what makes him push himself so hard.

[div class=title]Theme Song[/div][div class=text] N/A[/div]
[div class=title]biography[/div][div class=text] Arthur Julias King is the son of Damor Julian King and is the second among 2 sons. As such Arthur was raised with true royal etiquette, with the concept of being a Gentleman and the roles of the man and the women tightly knit into his mind as a child. Many of his personality traits were drilled into him by his father and mimicked from his brother, who he idolized and respected just as he did his father. Arthurs older brother, Luthur, was the perfect man. He was a natural prodigy, as both a meister and a Prince, he seemed to just learn everything so... quickly. His soul perception was so keen he could tell peoples emotions. And as a prince, he wasn't lacking either, his social skills, his political skills, and especially his skill with a blade... Everything about him was so perfect it was almost infuriating.

Arthur has fond memories of his brother, not only of his princely authority but of his family present. With his father as king and constantly busy, Arthur was mostly around his mother, his teachers, and his elder brother. And for a short time, that was all he needed. With his brother being the heir to the throne, he didn't need to worry about inheriting the kingdom, and could instead focus on his schoolwork, soul training, and especially his knight training. Because of his respect and his adoration towards his brother, he knew his brother was meant to lead as King. And Arthur would act as his Knight, protecting him and honoring his name. But even with that Luthur taught Arthur that as a knight, his job was to not just protect him, but to protect the entire kingdom. His job was to use his strength and power to protect those who can not protect themselves. Especially those who he cares about. It's why it hit so hard when his mother died.

It was the tragedy of Manapoli, as the day would be named and known throughout history by the title. On this day, a multitude of witches breached the defenses of the kingdom and massacred many high officials. He remembers the night as clear as day, his father and brother telling him to go hide with his mother, which would end up useless as a witch forced her way into the safe room. He remembers the way the doors slammed, how loud she was, screaming for them to let her in. The fear he felt, it was a pure and utter terror, a terror that still haunts him to this day. His mother ordered him to hide, and while he initially wanted to stay and fight, that terror, pure unadulterated terror, it made him obey. His mother died that knight, and he watched in terror and fear from the cracked door of the closet. He remembers the witches face so utterly well, and especially the scar that ran across her eye.

Out of the witches that caused such a ruckus, none of them were prosecuted. None of them could be located. It was a deep wound for the Kingdom, having lost it's Queen. Especially for Arthur himself, as this pain edged into him his ideals and what he truly wants to be. It also is the cause of the Madness of Rage inside of him, which he tries his best to suppress. Life in the Kingdom moved as well as it could, but stress overtook their father and soon he turned ill. The responsibilities as King fell onto Luthur, and Arthur furthered his training as a Knight. But while he still wanted to be a knight, the thought of becoming a Meister as well prayed onto his mind. DWMA, the school that trained weapons and Meisters, and now as well... Witches. He needed more, he needed skills, he needed the type of training that the Kingdom wouldn't give him. While he was trained as a Meister, he didn't have any real experience battling Evil, and that's something he desperately needed. And in the deepest darkest parts of him, he wanted to hunt and kill the witch who took his mothers' life, in the most brutal way possible.

After proposing the idea to his brother, Luthur was hesitant but respected his brothers decision. And thus began his life at DWMA. He hopes to make his life as great as it can be, and he hopes to find a capable partner.

  • Anti-Demon Wavelength: Arthur has a strong Anti-Demon Wavelength that helps him specialize in driving away evil. His Soul Wavelength acts as a strong Barrier against Madness, and can evil pull others out of madness. Or it can be infused into attacks to be destructive against beings of evil, such as witches and immortals, or just evil intent.
  • Grigori Soul: Arthur is one of the rare cases of a Grigori Soul, but as he now has no idea what to do with it.
  • Soul Perception: Arthur is exceptional in the use of Soul Perception. His range of Soul Perception is incredibly vast, and he finds it very easy to identify different souls. He can sometimes even tell what kinds of partners one would get by observing their soul, but that takes an intense amount of concentration.
  • Soul Force: His ability to control his own Soul Wavelength however is quite weak. He's capable of using Soul Force through a punch, but the hit to the soul itself doesn't do much.
  • Physical Prowess: Arthur is extremely physically capable, athletic and agile, it allows him for incredible flexibility in battle.

[div class=title]Fighting Style[/div][div class=text] Arthur is extremely strong Physically, what he lacks in control of his wavelength he makes up for in physical prowess. His knight training has constantly kept him on his toes, and while he's accustomed to fighting with a blade of some kind, he is well versed in hand to hand combat. His fighting style is based around defense and counterattacks, although he can be very aggressive when the time comes. (He has yet to use a weapon so he doesn't know how he'd fight with one.)[/div]

Ra.png

Character Strengths: Ra is energetic, outgoing, free spirited, and extremely protective of whoever she brings into her circle.

Character Flaws: Ra is stubborn, prideful, has trouble following rules, lacks control with her powers, is a bit oblivious, and has a bit of an ego problem that is actually a front to hide her deep seated insecurities.

Personality: Ra puts on a very confident and outgoing heir, almost to the point of being in your face and obnoxious, but not quite so much as to completely drive people mad. She's also adventurous and prone to dragging along whatever new friends she makes on her random explorations. She's got a insecure side to her, but that is hidden underneath a hard shell of a forced ego.

How are you associated with the DWMA? New Witch Student

Time at the DWMA: New

Rank:

Fighting Style: Ra is very feisty and aggressive, especially for her size. While she may not be the strongest witch around, she's agile and quick to recognize weak points.

Abilities: Ra has three major magic abilities.
Moncannon: Ra waves her hands around and a magic circle appears to shoot a blast of fire in the shape of an angry mongoose that figuratively devours the target upon contact as it explodes.
Eyes of Flame: Ra has the ability to enhance her sight at night.
Monmirage: Ra waves her hands in the air that creates an illusion as if there was more than one of her.

Backstory: Ra grew up despising the order of witches from a very young age. In reality, she hadn't had much opportunity to interact with them because her mother kept her away, saying she was an embarrassment. For most of her life she'd been told she was worthless. No good as a witch. Despite how hard she worked to try to prove herself, that reality never changed. In her mother's eyes, she was always worthless.

Eventually Ra got sick and tired of the way she had been treated and decided to take things into her own hands. She didn't have a whole lot of knowledge of what was in the outside world, but she wanted to find out. She just wanted to get away. To find a place she could be accepted. She wanted a home where she was needed. A home where she could learn and have fun. Even more important than that, though, was that she yearned to find a family. People she could depend on and protect. She didn't care about the other witches that much, since they didn't seem to care about her.

When she learned there were other witches that had been outcast, though, it drew her attention and she tried to get connected with them. She was grateful that they helped her get back on her feet to an extent. Then something even stranger happened, they decided to become students at the DWMA. She wasn't one who really understood the implications of it, though. She was just happy to have a place to go and wondered if this might be home.

Character Name: Shizuka Hori

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Height: 5” 3’ or 160 cm

Character Strengths: Empathetic | Perseverance | Gentle | Observant

Character Flaws: Zero Backbone | Guarded| Emotional | No Confidence

Personality: Shizuka is a very self-conscience teen who lacks any ability to stand up for herself or others. She can be very skittish and prefers to watch and observe over being the center of attention. Understanding the feeling of being the odd one out, she will do her best to help students not feel left out and comfortable in a social situation. Though she is not chatty, she tries her best to keep a conversation going.

How are you associated with the DWMA? Student Meister

Time at the DWMA: Half of the Semester

Rank: 1 Star

Fighting Style: Prefers not to kill and will run away when given the chance to. If forced to fight, she prefers long-ranged combat over close-ranged.

Abilities:
Soul Resonance | Below Average – She has a hard time connecting with other people due her closing herself off, so her soul resonance is very weak. She can relate to people, but it's hard to overcome her inner barriers. Her soul resonance will weaken the power of damage the pair can do in battle. She has much to learn about wielding a death weapon.
Wavelength Control | Below Average – In addition, Shizuka has a hard time maintaining her own wavelength. She is unable to wield a weapon for more than 10 minutes of combat.
Soul Perception | Above Average – To make up for her lack of fighting skills, she has a long-range of sensing other souls in the vicinity. She can detect the minor status of the souls (emotional status and health status). However, she cannot pinpoint the exact locations of the souls and can get overwhelmed with the amount of noise within the area.
Speed | Rather than fighting her battles, she runs away to live another day. Because of her meek nature, she carries many smoke bombs to cover her getaways.
Stealth | She’s quite stealthy and tries her best to blend in as much as possible. She hates being the center of attention.

Backstory: Shizuka Hori was born and raised into a rather wealthy family. However, being the second youngest of 8, she was overshadowed by many of her brilliant and extraordinarily talented siblings. She was slow to excel at anything and eventually she was cast aside for the maids to attend to. Though related by blood, all her siblings would bully her for being so weak. There were several attempts to poison or even kill Lady Shizuka, but luckily none of their attempts proved to be fatal. Because of these experiences, she is slow to trust anyone and had closed herself off from the real world for quite some time.

She is often compared to her younger brother, Kazuo. Kazuo, though younger in age, proved to beat Shizuka in every aspect. However, Kazuo was the only sibling who felt any sympathy for Shizuka. Instead of belittling her, he treated her as an equal and would practice sparring with her, sparing no mercy. This would training would go on up until their teens. Because of her bond with her brother, she has no ill will against her siblings. When she turned 15, Shizuka had already packed her bags for Death City. Though the Asia branch was a lot closer to home, she wanted to challenge herself and have a clean slate. Her mind was set to become strong in mind and spirit so that one day she could stand alongside her siblings. And so, she only said goodbye to her younger brother and promised they would once spar again. This time she would beat him.

Currently, Shizuka has many acquaintances, but not many friends. She is wary of who she can trust due to being constantly poisoned by her siblings. Though she has slowly opened her heart, there are still many wall and barriers she has. She quietly observes and waits until the right moment. She’s concerned that she hasn’t found another person that she is compatible to. In her spare time, she practices running and acrobatics.

Character Name: Anri Han

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Height: 5' 10"

Appearance:
1568849190167.png

Character Strengths: Anri is a firm believer in persistence and perseverance will make anything happen. He believes that no matter what, if you keep going at it, if you keep believing that one day it will come true, then it will. Each day, he strives to reach higher and higher than before.

Character Flaws: Anri doesn't believe his life holds worth. He believes his purpose as a weapon is to give his life to others, to protect others. If it takes one sacrifice to save 100 people, he'd be that sacrifice. No sacrifice is too much, and no price too large.

Personality: Anri is at first a meek and quiet guy, one who's presence doesn't stand out and draw the eye. He keeps to himself most of the time, trying to avoid conflict and extremities. He doesn't yell over the crowd, trying to stand out, but tries to fit in. He holds a persona of indifference and conformity, until you force him to make a move. Underneath however, Anri is anything but a quiet and shy guy. He's got a spirit and passion that burns brighter than the stars. He has an energy that will not go out, no matter the situation. Fall down seven times, but rise up eight. That is the embodiment of Anri Han. He, like the sun and the stars, will never stop shining as long as he has the will to keep going. He is indomitable, unrelenting, and a spirited warrior.

Anri is a warrior, trained by his parents, and proven through the harsh realities of life. He knows of the lowest lows and the highest highs. He has seen it all and has taken it all in stride. Now, he sees his new duty as being a protector for those who can't defend himself. He wishes to protect the innocent, protect those who can't fight for themselves, because he doesn't want to have tragedy befall him, or others ever again. He doesn't believe there is a sacrifice too great, or a price too large to pay, if it means he can make the world a safer place.

How are you associated with the DWMA? Student Weapon

Time at the DWMA: 1 Year

Rank: 1 Star

Weapon Type: Harp Bow
1568849267191.png

Fighting Style: Anri's fighting style revolves around the ability to confuse his opponents and then go in for the kill/defeat. Having about as much training as a beginner MMA fighter, Anri relies more on his natural ability, his speed, endurance, and quick thinking. In doing so, he plays a ninja like role, confusing opponents with sounds, then slashing or stabbing with daggers, knives, or whatever he has. His fighting style is known as pencak silat, a style that revolves around grapples and fighting with knives.

Abilities: Sound Wave Impact - Anri is able to use sound waves to trigger confusion and nausea in his opponents, putting them off guard. Of course, he is only able to do this if he has a loud enough sound like metal banging, or an instrument playing. Smaller sounds do not affect opponents as much as louder sounds. To utilize this, Anri uses much of the environment to help.

Soul Wave Length Disruption - depending on the intensity of the sounds emitted by Sound Wave Impact, Anri is able to temporarily disrupt the soul wavelengths of others. This, of course, has the drawback of also affecting him due to his neglect to use.

Backstory: Anri Han was born to a meister and a weapon on the eve of the summer solstice. What was an auspicious day was a rather happy day for the Mr. and Mrs. Han, for into the world came one Anri Han. A young boy who inherited more than just his looks from his mother, Anri also inherited her weapon traits. Anri would be the only child of the family, living in a rather remote village. It was protected by his father and mother, so that no kishin would disrupt the peaceful town it was. Growing up, Anri never had any interaction with the world of Meisters and Weapons. He never heard of the Death Weapon Meister Academy, nor of his ability to transform. In order to prepare him for the inevitable fate that would befall Anri, his mother and father taught him self defense to protect himself. Anri would learn a multitude of martial arts including Taekwondo, Karate, and Jiu Jitsu, and Pencak Silat. Feeling the most comfortable with pencak silat, Anri stuck to that one the most.

It was weeks after his 12th birthday that group of powerful witches, along with a group of her worshipers attacked the village, seeking revenge for the death of one of their sisters. His parents, hoping to protect the village, went to fight leaving the young Anri to hide alone. Watching fearfully through the window, Anri watched as his parents relentlessly fought back, and almost won. However, in his panic and fear, Anri unconsciously began to channel the sound waves to disrupt the wave lengths of those in the vicinity. Doing this caused the soul resonance between his mother and father to fail. From then on, Anri has vowed to never use the ability again. After once again hiding, Anri listened horrified as his parents had to fall back, abandoning many of the townspeople who were slaughtered. In the aftermath, only a handful of people were left.

Anri, scarred after the attack was taken in by a family friend, who was also a meister, as his parents left to return to actively hunting kishins and the witches who committed the attack. Explaining to the young boy what happened, and how he could prevent it brought some life back to him. He took a vow to never let what happened back then ever happen again, and he trained himself to got to the DWMA. On recommendation from his temporary guardian and his parents, Anri enrolled in the DWMA to prevent tragedies like that from happening ever again.

Character Name: Makoto "Mako" Hirata

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Height: 5.40

Appearance:

__little_red_riding_hood_sinoalice_drawn_by_yoggi_stretchmen__sample-30020bf613419d0f1a037f732...jpg

Character Strengths: Honest/Brave/Loyal

Character Flaws: Arrogant/Vicious/Greedy

Personality: Violence is a word short to describe Mako, always like a high fuse, she will burst at the slightest thing that pisses her off; this behaviour of course has led to disciplinary actions within Death City, and a reputation that has prevented a lot of students to even try to approach her. However, she is known to care for the people that manage to get along with her, forming some kind of companionship, as long as it doesn't interfere with her interests.

Weapon Type:
b25d5d40ec4b7d38044507a2aea203b6.jpg
Fighting Style: Her weapon form being a cleaver, she is able to partially transform her right arm into the blades, allowing her to attack close and mid range, thanks to the property of the weapon to be able to extend itself, changing its pattern of attacks.

The Meister of Mako must be able to agressively use her in combat, as this weapon does not perform well defensively.

Abilities:

-Partial Transformation: Able to transform her right arm into the blades of the cleaver.

-Bloodlust: The more engulfed in blood the blades of the weapon get, the stronger both Mako and Meister become, at the cost of their sanity in the middle of the battle. High caution is advised if the Meister lacks a strong soul.

-Light Fingers: Her previous lifestyle allowed her to gain experience with pilfering and stealing.

Backstory: Not much known is about her past, she made a living on the streets by stealing and doing other petty things alone. What could not be solved peacefully, she would use force instead, usually leaving a huge mess where she was.

This lifestyle would get her targetted not only by the patrols of the area, but other gangs of thieves that were operating in the area, as she would always reject their offers to join them, they decided to rather eliminate her than letting her do as she pleased. The reason she would always reject their invitation was the fact Mako disliked the idea of stealing to survive, but she had no other way to survive otherwise, she had no relatives to rely on.

It was during one of those confrontations that she discovered her abilities as a weapon, a peculiar kind of trait that allowed humans to take form of weapons. There was a particular school that would find these individuals, and with that, a new opportunity.

Character Name: Io Fleetwoodhot.png
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Height: 172cm. / 5'6"*

Appearance: Io holds her own, quite unique sense of style, which she believes to be outstandish, elegant and tame. The primary colour found on her outfit is a pale pink, mixed with light greys and golds. Her hair is styled into short curls, helping define a slender face, which itself sits held up by a thin physique.

Character Strengths: Reserved, patient, tidy, self-sufficient, requires little attention, well-read and spoken.

Character Flaws: Narcissistic and sarcastic, reclusive for a hatred of noise, stuck-up, unenthusiastic.

Personality: Io has just the slightest problem with vanity, coming off as quite conceited for the most part. She has her own ideas about elegance and how it should be upholden, viewing those without methods to their style as lazy and as if they didn't even try in the first place. Although this can be quite the detriment in conversation, she doesn't let her feelings exactly seep out of her freely, as she finds that in itself as a flaw in need of perfection. Still, she cannot resist the occasional jab or quip, however unnecessary it may be, as even someone of her beliefs needs to find amusement somewhere.

No matter how alienating, the trust in her own elegance and abilities does not go unfounded. She is a person capable of fulfilling her needs without any outside help, has a sizeable vocabulary and reserve of knowledge, besides being well-groomed and cleanly by her own hand. As a perfectionist, stuff like loitering just wouldn't go, and she will often leave a place tidier than she entered it. One thing that will keep her from even entering a spot, however, is noise, as she suffers from hyperacusis, causing much lower tolerance for sounds most would consider normal and no bother.

How are you associated with the DWMA? Student Weapon.
Time at the DWMA: One and a half years.
Rank: 1-star.

Weapon Type: Spear.
Fighting Style: Io is very uptight about style and elegance, believing presentation to not perhaps be above all else, but a show of pride and confidence necessary from a real and proper warrior. As such, she prefers to be handled in a mixture of mid-range offense and defense, redirecting and swatting away strikes, before rushing in with fast jabs at the vitals. Such is the dream, anyways. Still, the strongest suite of her weapon form is that of its melee range and surprisingly light weight, all things considered.

Backstory: Io's upbringing took place within the household of a nearly completely irrelevant weapon bloodline, small on the outskirts of Wisconsin. Her elders were people of a simple = perfect lifestyle, dressing in average manners and eating average foods. What they had in excess they gave away to those in bigger need, which was perfectly reasonable, yet something always drew ire from Io. This way of living simply failed to resonate with her, even at the young age of first decade approaching, and so she started reclusing into her own habits and ways, slowly withdrawing further and further away from her family, to the point they barely even spoke once a day. The same case would take place within the elementary of her attendance, as she failed again and again to make a single long-term friend. As unfortunate as this was, it at least taught her to become completely self-sustaining at a very young age, as she learned to cook, self-teach and even find her own fun in any little corners she could, moving from spending time watching the sky to poetry, and through it to further literature.

Besides, Io did not necessarily spend all of her childhood alone, as a spark arrived with the person she would still admire to this very day. A teacher at the school, who she believed to be the pinnacle of what she herself would love to achieve, stylish, confident and resolutely competent. The evidence of this wouldn't take long to harbour, with Io even going as far as to start taking clothing inspiration from the teacher. As it stood, they got along fairly well, Io in follow, always seeking to learn, and the teacher rather bemused at the prospect of a student so inspired by their presence alone. Yet, nice things are always fleeting, and as time flew past and past, this bout-comet of inspiration had to pass away onto different space, relocated to a different school. It was a revelation tad crushing to Io's spirit, but it had its own upsides, as even the most tragic things tend to do. Before moving state, the teacher, having knowledge of the Fleetwood's heritage from their occasional charity work, and hearing from Io herself about a recent awakening of latent ability, issued a recommendation letter to Nevada's Shibusen academy, holding slight sway very much unknown to Io. With it, ready to move on as her role model had, she acquired enough change from her still-caring family to make the journey accross the country, where she spent over a year as she has mostly before, with the difference of much greater pride acquired from the honing and perfecting of her abilities, as time ever-so crawled forward.

Francesca Lee
94656d12a22ff7798a5b0c745040a524-sample.jpg
Axe Crazy

Age:
16

Gender:
Female

Height:
155 cm

Appearance:
Francesca is short and lithe, and can be almost mistaken for being younger than she actually is. She hates this. Her small stature belies a monstrous, almost beast-like strength, but that's neither here nor there. She has crimson-red hair, which she ties into fairly cute twintails. She hates it when people call them cute. She also refuses to change her hairstyle nonetheless. Her usual attire is red tops, and black shorts. She isn't very fashionable, and her body type doesn't allow for much types of clothing, so she just sticks to her usual rugged red-and-black wear rather than try to experiment with anything else.

Character Strengths:
For all her roughness, she is tidy and fastidious, almost obsessively so. She cannot abide by messiness, and even subconsciously cleans up her nearby area without even noticing it herself. She possesses some sense of altruism, and has been noted that she has the capacity to actually be nice, as much as nice means to her at any rate, to others. She also exhibits excellent control of herself, demonstrating respect, loyalty, increased social interaction, or a mix of all three, when it comes to certain people, though that number of people can easily be counted on one hand. She is also described as quite dependable when it comes to helping with schoolwork and trivial tasks.

Character Flaws:
Her bloodlust and need for vengeance is so strong that it overrides almost every notion of common sense and self-preservation. Her hatred for That Witch and her forgotten promise to her parents are what seems to power her survival instincts, to the point where the scent or knowledge of another Witch in her vicinity is enough to make her blood boil. To add to this, Fran is brash and impulsive, and frequently leaps before she looks, brandishing her axe. Her one solution to most problems unacademically-inclined is violence, and if that doesn't work, she'll pile on more and more until it does. She is also fairly high-strung and irritable, making her a tad hard to talk to.

Personality:
A maniacal fighter who tears through battle with unmatched fervor. She is something of an adrenaline junkie, who operates the best in high octane activities that let her run wild. She truly shines in these kinds of environments, laughing wildly as she tears apart the battlefield. Impulsive and hotheaded, she charges into the fray first, or encourages her partner to do so, just so she can taste the blood in the air. Her belief, flawed as it is, seems to imply that she trusts whoever she has at her back to have her back and to synergise with her wildness. Don't get in her way, back her up, and everything will be fine. In periods of calm, she has admitted that when lost in her world of bloodlust, she doesn't care who claims the responsibility of the victory, she just cares that she got to fight. A blood knight through and through, she seeks combat to ever improve herself.

She is remarkably less enthusiastic and significantly more subdued when it comes to school stuff, and her attitude takes a complete turn at school. She can usually be found sleeping at her desk or doodling weird stuff on her notebooks rather than actually bothering with lessons. Even in gym classes, she seems a lot more listless than she usually is, just barely doing enough to avoid getting in trouble. She responds flippantly and rather callously to anyone who does strike up a conversation with her, speaking her mind without so much as thinking about what the contents of her words are. Similarly to her in-battle persona, she doesn't seem to care about all this. She's getting better, isn't that good enough? Just let her go KILL SOMETHING ALREADY.

She has a strong hatred against Witches. She can't explain it, but it seems to be tied to her amnesia. She can't stand their scent, which she explains as the smell of magic, just with their own personal touches. Furthermore, their scent immediately sets her off, causing her to literally lose all sense of sanity when she senses a Witch nearby. The staff are advised to allow her to get along with the Witches, however, as it seems that prolonged exposure to their scents seems to be able to prevent this, and she has since been forced to memorise their scents (the means unknown) so she doesn't lose it when the new Witches arrive at the school.

Student Weapon

Time at the DWMA:
1 year

Rank:
1 Star

Weapon Type:
A dual-bladed poleaxe. Her weapon form is unique only in that it can change its shaft's length to fit its wielder's needs, allowing it to take the appearance of a tomahawk, or an extended poleaxe.

Fighting Style:
She only knows one strategy, and it is to keep attacking until it is impossible to attack her target any further, whether they have been minced into tiny pieces, or she gets taken out herself. Her fighting style can be accurately described as wild abandon, doing all and everything she can to hit as hard and fast as possible and overwhelm the opponent. Pain doesn't seem to shake her one bit, and it seems to further augment her wildness even more. Furthermore, she seems to act purely on instinct, making her a fairly difficult creature to pin down. Furthermore, she uses her small stature to weave through attacks and dart around the place wildly to confuse targets. Her swings tend to be heavy and on the slow side, but they have a wide reach, and hit very hard. This also rings true even when a Meister is wielding her.

Abilities:
Scent Perception: To seemingly make up for her lack of talent with Soul Perception, Francesca has an amazing sense of smell, allowing her to identify people purely by their smell alone. Her scent of smell seems to be altered in that she is capable of identifying Witches by their smell alone. There doesn't seem to be any precedent to this- she was perhaps just born with a strange innate ability to sniff things out. Obviously, while this is clearly superior to normal Soul Perception, this kind of Perception has more limits to it, in that wind and other smells can obfuscate the truth. Perfume and the like have telling effectiveness against her nose.

Soul Resonance - Bloodlust Amplifier: Battle fuels Francesca, and it is reflected by her performance in combat, especially when wielded as a Weapon. Hers and her partner's attacks increase in force and power when resonating. This effect increases in potency the more enthusiastic she and her partner are, reasons notwithstanding. Determination and hatred both feed this unique Soul Resonance Francesca bears. Partners should be wary since this buff can cause damage to their own bodies due to overexertion. It is represented by a teal swirl of energy that surrounds both the weapon and the meister. She is capable of manifesting this alone through sheer fury, but has diminished effects. There is potential to develop this unhoned ability further into something more refined and less destructive.

Backstory:
There is little to tell of Francesca Lee. Well, little to tell of what she knows. To Francesca, it was as if she woke up in a hospital one day with only one thought in mind- kill Witches. She didn't have any understanding why she had such a strong hatred for Witches, and a single-minded fervor to join the DWMA just so she can hunt down this one scent of a Witch. She didn't know who, she didn't know why, but she wanted That Witch dead, come what may. She didn't know the name, she didn't know the face, she only had the smell of Witches in her mind to urge her onwards, and a never-ending hatred of their kind. Her aimless wandering brought her to the DWMA, the only place that had any agency to the knowledge and to hunting witches. There was no question about it- she had to join the DWMA as a student, as a stepping stone towards the truth and her vengeance.

In her one year of education in DWMA, Francesca found out enough of herself. Francesca was the oldest daughter of two, and had been born to a pair of kind parents. Though they were both born Weapons, both her parents had no interest in dealing with combat, both instead graduating from NOT classes and earning their keep outside the battlefield. During this time, she and her younger sister were born with a 3 year difference between them. They lived fairly normal lives, without much event. The records get muddled from here onwards. Anything else in between then and now was empty, and the knowledge that her parents had been murdered by a Witch came a week before she found herself in a hospital. There was no mention of her sister. As far as she was concerned, she was the only survivor. That was the Witch whose scent she remembered. According to the people she had asked, there had been no struggle in her home, almost as if her parents had welcomed the Witch to their abode. This only gave her more questions.

Whoever this Witch was, whatever happened between them and her family, only this Witch held the answers to her questions. She had to find them. Then she'd rip the answers right from their throat.

e520dcb330986a8a2156320039cabb9b.jpgCharacter Name: Seren Gogo
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Height: 5'5"

Appearance:
Seren, by all means, has the physical features of somebody who goes out of their way to take care of themselves, long silky hair, clear skin, properly trimmed nails, yet her abrasiveness can be read off of her body language by all but the most socially dull of people. She constantly exudes an aura of being 'on-edge' and unapproachable, despite her efforts to maintain her looks. Her sense of fashion is a bit more 'out-there' than you'd expect from her personality. Thanks to her rejecting most of her potential friends, never seeing her mother, and hating her aunt, her wardrobe is entirely self-assembled, leading to a glaring fault in her usually prim and proper image.

Character Strengths:
  • In spite of her temperment, she's a very prudent young lady.
  • Big time hard worker to the point where she spares literally zero minutes in her day for recreation.
  • Tried and true perfectionist.
Character Flaws:
  • Is more than a little judgemental.
  • Terrible Temper.
  • Little to no social restraint. Doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut.
Personality:
Seren is a young lady that doesn't have a very high opinion of other people, and isn't shy about letting them know it. She takes the idea of "being the best you can be" more seriously than it was probably ever meant to be taken, casting a harsh light on anyone who doesn't live up to "proper standards". She's, perhaps, someone who is in far too much of a rush to grow up. Her natural enemies are the lazy and the irresponsible, but thanks to what can only be described as borderline paranoia, she's quick to put herself at odds with everybody else too. Just yawning in class is enough to earn yourself a glare from her direction, let alone something like being tardy or disruptive; She especially fosters a resent for "people who haven't earned their place", that is to say, people who succeed in life despite not holding themselves up to her standards. In her eyes, the ends do not justify the means, so both have to be up to snuff.

Socially, her 'good side' is virtually non-existent. She keeps herself to as high a standard as she does anyone else, but as a friend that does little more than ensure honesty and punctuality. Which, while nice on their own, aren't enough for most people to look past her eagerness to cast suspicion on and insult them for the smallest slip ups.

Practically speaking however, there method of her madness does seem to be working out for her. She's a studious and hardworking girl, performing well in both her theoretical and practical studies, ensuring her as a partner of fine quality of those that can deal with... The rest of her. She's got no problem with pulling her weight or working up a sweat, not expecting her partner to do all the physical heavy lifting in the relationship, so long as they keep a respectful relationship.

How are you associated with the DWMA? (New Witch Student, Student Meister, Student Weapon, Professor)

Time at the DWMA: One Year

Rank: 1-Star

Weapon Type:
Meteor Hammer
Seren takes the form of a Meteor Hammer, an ancient Chinese weapon that can be described as something like a doubled-headed flail. It consists of two spiked balls connected by a three meter long chain. Each ball is 25 centimeters across, and is covered in nine 10 centimeter long spikes.
Fighting Style: (Describe how you fight.)

Abilities:
  • Full & Partial Transformation - Seren is able to transform both fully and partially. Her partial transformation allows her to both transform her fists into the heads of her weapon form, and her arms into chains if she so desires.
  • Autonomous - While not as capable a fighter as her Meister, Seren has trained herself to be capable of autonomous combat. She's strong enough to deal with minor threats on her own, and at the very least, stall for time against ones that would usually call for a Weapon-Meister duo. Autonomous combat is a continued point of study for her and she shows no signs of being anywhere near satisfied with her current abilities.

Backstory:
If you were to ask Seren about her past, she'd reply "It was overrun by deadbeats." She was raised by a single mother whose path of employment involved a dance club and long nights. While well enough paid, she wasn't able to be around very often because of it, and other influences took root in Seren's young mind.

Specifically, those of her aunt's.

Her Aunt Anemone was a woman who was in a situation not too dissimilar than her sister's. The two moved in together for the sake of finance, making her a convenient enough babysitter for her growing niece. Anemone, however, was not able to take her lost love into stride nearly as well as Seren's mother did. Perhaps it was because she lacked the grounding that a child of her own provided, or perhaps that was just her nature, but her experience left her a much more bitter woman either way. She'd been used. Wooed by some no-good man that whispered sweet nothings into her ear as he'd slipped notes from her pockets; And she'd have no more of it.

She didn't exactly go out of her way to 'condition Seren to think just like her', or anything extreme like that, but she'd do more than half the job of raising her and had never been the type to keep her mouth shut. Anemone was much more of an authority figure in Seren's life than her sunny but often absent mother was, so it was only natural that she would begin to adopt her aunt's outlook on life. It started off well enough, with a greater disposition towards hard work than most her age, but as she got older she starter to resemble Anemone more and more. She'd begin to outright resent the people she saw as not giving their all, and even those who were that she judged to be 'looking in the wrong direction'; And by the time she entered the DWMA, even Anemone had made that list.

The day when she discovered herself as a Demon Weapon wasn't one of celebration, or even despair; It was just one where she felt a renewed sense of duty. If this was the path that fate had set out of her, then so be it. She wasn't going to run away.

She was better than that.

Stronger than that.

And she'd prove it.

Grace Amadeus Fugue

Age: 14. Barely.
Gender: Female
Height: 5'2"

Time at the DWMA: One Year

Rank: 1-Star Meister

---

Appearance:
Despite her name, Grace doesn't seem "graceful" so much as loose, her clothing and posture relaxing and falling however they so choose to. This isn't to say that she looks messy--indeed, far from it--simply that it appears as if she puts minimal effort into her appearance while still receiving decent results. Though it's entirely possible that this could translate into "natural" grace as she grows older, at her current age (and with her current styles of slightly-grungy clothing) it's likely more fair to state that her appearance is a light manifestation of the "apathy-itis" that has taken over many a teenager's life.

---

Personality:
Much like her appearance, the theme of Grace's personality is "flowing." It's not her job to go against the tide, it's her job to maneuver within it with the skill and precision of a champion swimmer. Though it appears paradoxical to many, she's somehow managed to replace most forms of worrying with forms of focus, letting whatever happens to her happen while honing in on what she can actually do in any given situation to change it to her will. Life's an orchestra, so just focus on your part.
When her relaxed outward nature is coupled with this outlook and her natural drive, she seems less like someone who is plain lazy and more like someone who is "in the zone" one-hundred percent of the time. Whether or not she truly is, of course, remains to be seen.
Interpersonally, these internal processes shine through to create a relaxed, slightly distant, but nonetheless extremely tolerable person. She's the "quiet friend," the one with rare but quality insights that spends most of the hangout engaged in whatever they want to do while quietly listening, but will always engage when talked to; independent, but always willing to swing back your way as part of their orbit.
Oddly enough, Grace's easy-going nature makes it easy for her to resonate with many of her classmates. Ironically, this quirk of personality has all but glued her to Seren, as she's just about the only meister in the class capable of indefinitely handling her natural abrasion without long-term discouragement or frequent clashes. As Grace describes it, she herself is the "downtime" of a song, the measures when the entire band chills out and rolls with the beat. And Seren? She's the crazy licks and the guitar solos. Grace, the calm, chugging bass to Seren's screaming upper registers. The Santana to her Dragonforce. The first half of Free Bird versus the second half of Free Bird.
You get it.

Biography:
The Fugue family, historically, is not a family of meisters. But it is a family of maestros.
It is a name of great wealth and long-running classical talent; a clan of conductors, first-chairs, famed soloists, and treasured composers. Ordered, principled, and cyclical, much like the looping, iterating genre of the same name.
It is also a name of dwindling prospects, for just as the word Fugue is tied to intertwining, ever-shifting melodies in unison, so too is it tied to a twisting, deep, labyrinthine madness.
Growing up, Grace's mother, Aria, watched the elder members of her family fade away one by one. Dementia, depression, Alzheimer's, and personality disorders of all stripes--as each lost their personhood, they were removed from the grand familial mansion, never to be seen again. By the time she was twenty, the beautiful cacophony of practicing family had become an eerie silence, broken solely by her own singing and the light pattering feet of her few attendants. Loneliness tugged at her heart and mind with reckless abandon, yet despite the encroaching darkness, she became an operatic jewel, touring throughout the world and performing for audiences from Alabama to New Zealand.
In Copenhagen, while slated for a performance as the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, Aria fell madly in love with the production's prodigious first flute, Nills Quarter. He proposed to her at the final performance, and the two were married at the end of the production's run; the production's closing celebration doubled as their engagement party.
Together, the two continued their performances and escapades throughout the world, finally settling after Grace's birth. Their little "grace note," as she was called, became the object of much doting and devotion, especially when it became clear that she happily shared her family's musical aspirations. Aria's mind eased as the joy of music returned to her household, delighting in father-daughter duets, composing trios for the family, and Grace's frequent practice sessions upon the organ in the manor's main hall.
Yet, this stability did not last very long, as Nills soon fell gravely ill; though she still had her daughter, for Aria, the loss of her life's love was too much to bear. She felt the onset of the familial "curse" early on, isolating herself as far from her daughter as she could until she no longer had the mind to do so. Mind nearly gone, she eventually turned on her offspring, forcing long and brutal instruction on her. Grace played for longer and longer hours, and was often woken by her mother in the middle of the night when the silence became unbearable.
The young Grace began to resent her mother and the music that she played, though more than anything else, she resented the madness that took her loving, "true" mother from her. In private, she began straying away from desired classicality, delving deeply into countercultures and blaring, angry, modern music. At nights, she began leaving the house, biking into town at the dead of night to look in through club windows and watch rock concerts from illegally-scaled rooftops and far-away hills. She fell in with a rowdy, youthful crowd of her own, always disregarding her mother's screams and maddened pleading every time she was caught; even punishment did not dissuade her, and in time the manor's few remaining servants became sympathetic enough to begin aiding in her romps themselves.
Slowly, she realized that she was able to "feel" people, and her mother's demeanor became stifling and torturous, as if her madness were now crawling within Grace's own mind and forcing her to retreat further into herself. In time, this, along with freedom, managed to mellow her, the initial burst of emotion brought about by her mother's change now mixing with her more reserved nature. Having grown confident in her independence--even despite her young age--she eventually left, ultimately deciding that anyplace was better than life with her mother. Having noticed that there was more to madness than meets the eye, she grew particularly wary of that sensitive kernel of lost control within many people. If her mother and her family history were any indication, her own days were numbered unless she found help.
Thankfully, an institution known as the Death Weapon Meister Academy might just have the answers she needs. Maybe, she thought, if she learned enough, if she worked hard enough, if she did everything she needed to do, she'd find a way to not only keep herself sane, but bring back the mother she wishes she can see again.

Abilities:
-- Soul Perception: Just the basics, nothing to see here.
-- "Major" Menace: One of two "riffs" on Soul Menace developed through a combination of instruction and personal experimentation. After all, Wavelengths are the "sound" of the soul, and Grace sure knows a hell of a lot about sound. Major Menace, for the most part, is indistinguishable from the average Soul Menace (save for its different naming for the sake of paring with Minor Menace), though it tends to have more concussive force than the menace of the average user.
-- "Minor" Menace: The stiletto to Major Menace's sledgehammer, Minor Menace has less power than a full Soul Menace attack, though it's far harder to see coming. There's no visual build-up for Minor Menace, and Grace tends to use it as something resembling a "poke of death" more than anything else; with enough concentration, Grace can turn a light tap into a devastating blow, though without the overwhelming power of a more "open" wavelength attack.
-- Master Musician: Though it's not relevant to the majority of her EAT schooling, Grace's early life has gifted her with a musical foundation that's difficult for others of her age to match. Though rock and classical are her mainstays, she can easily deal with just about any genre, and plays whatever she fancies. Her training in this area does lead to useful analogies for mastering wavelength-related studies, however, something bolstered by her surprisingly flexible soul.
Fighting Style: Flexible. Smarter, not harder. Observe, then execute. Use what you've got, don't force what you don't have. Unlike some, Grace prefers to follow her weapon's lead when it comes to figuring out how to engage. Polearm? No problem, use their reach. Scythe? Now there's a classic; speed, wide arcs, keep it simple, keep it deadly. Fighting from range? Make them work to get to you. With Seren in her hands, Grace prefers a more aggressive playstyle, using her partner's destructive potential to its fullest at a variety of ranges, thanks to her chain and momentum potential. It might take Grace a little longer than some to get going, but those balls-and-chain start rolling, there aren't many things that can get them to stop.

Strengths:
-- Wave Rider: Perhaps strangely, Grace's musical training has allowed her to create rather useful mental comparisons between soul wavelengths and sound. As a result of both this and her even demeanor, she tends to resonate easily and pick up new meister skills with surprising quickness--so long as she practices.
-- Sonic Sensitive: Despite seemingly blasting her ears into nothingness whenever she has her headphones on, Grace is quite good at picking out individual sounds in the midst of battle.
-- Conductor: What's the use of playing with others if you can't figure out how all your parts should fit together? When put into unexpected situations with unexpected people, Grace has managed to put together surprisingly quick strategies. They aren't always optimal, and they aren't always easy to execute, but Grace can turn a cacophony into a symphony with a few minor changes.

Weaknesses:
-- That's Not The Plan: In line with Grace's attitude regarding how best to make one's way through life, if Grace feels like she has some better idea for the survival of herself and her weapon, or the completion of the mission, chances are she'll just go do it. If she doesn't need to tell you about it, she probably won't even let you know.
-- The Sound of Silence: Want to begin chipping away at her sanity? Just ensure she can't hear anything.
-- Runs in the Family: Speaking of sanity, there's no telling just how much of it Grace has. Were she a normal girl, she'd likely live out her life just fine for years, but when immersed in the world from which your family's curse stems? Well...

Equipment: Grace carries a harmonica around in her pocket to cope with boredom. It also counters the slight discomfort caused by silence, which reminds her of her mother--and her mother's madness.
---

Supporting Characters
-- Aria Fugue: A famous opera singer, and Grace's formerly loving mother. Having fallen prey to her family's long-standing instability, it would be a stretch to call Aria even a shadow of her former self. Grace, now believing that there is perhaps more to her family's mental history than mere chance, hopes to use her knowledge gained at DWMA to bring her mother back from the brink.
-- Seren Gogo: Grace's hot-headed, pushy, slightly-paranoid partner. Seeing as resonating with Seren is a one-way ticket to Hurt City for many meisters, Grace has taken up the task, with a mutual respect for each other's personal drive doing the brunt of the work in regards to resonance capability. Grace doesn't know enough about her partner to nail down why she acts the way that she does, but is content to believe that it comes from a place of wanting everyone to reach their fullest potential. Whether she knows it or not, Seren's goading has been a major source of improvement fuel for Grace herself.
-- Father Michaelis: Grace's contact for her sunday organ job, and one of the only people that she feels comfortable divulging more personal details to. That said, she doesn't vent all that often.

---

Extra
-- Grace keeps two guitars (electric and acoustic), a bass guitar, a violin, a cello, and a Kazzio synthesizer in her room. She's currently saving up money to buy a Grammond Rock Organ, believing it to be a mandatory component of any serious rock musician's toolkit. Her longer-term collecting dream? Own an authentic, original-run Bender Stratoblaster electric guitar. And not just as a show piece, oh no no no.
-- She sometimes moonlights at Deathstaurant as one of their live music offerings for a side-job, and also pulls in a pretty hefty stack of cash for playing a church organ on Sundays.
-- Despite her musical inclinations, Grace's most prized possession is not an instrument, but a motorized bicycle that she and her old street friends modified to look slightly more like a "real" motorcycle. To her, it's a symbol of her cultivated freedom.
-- Grace can't relax or fall asleep without either music or white noise playing, due to the anxiety that silence causes her. She's also something of a poor test-taker for this same reason, unless there's an air conditioner running somewhere, or enough page rustling and pencil-scratching for her to hone in on.
-- Since arriving at DWMA, Grace has been trying to put together a band she's preemptively called "the Resonators." Word is she hasn't actually recruited anyone yet.

Rhitta Devine Aroura

large.jpg
Nickname: Rora

Age: 15

Title: Demon Blade Rhitta (It's her own self appointed title)

Gender: Female

Height: 5'2"

Association: Weapon Student

Time: 3 years and a half

Character Strengths: Rhitta's strongest quality is her ability to accept anyone and everyone. She isn't judgemental and can be brutally honest because she thinks from every perspective. She can understand even the worst and most broken-down souls, and accept them as they are, sins and all. From this stems a lack of fear, which could be a bi-product of the Black Bloods madness seeping into her. She has a lack of fear to the point where it's downright stupid. She has no care for herself or her body, and regardless of what happens with her will explore to her hearts content the secrets of the world. Rhitta is extremely smart and creative, she's good at examining an enemy and noticing both their strengths and their weaknesses, and then applying her allies strengths and weaknesses to formulate a plan of attack. It makes her a natural in support-oriented combat.

Character Flaws: Rhitta finds it hard to be... normal. She has no sense of personal space, and will touch you anywhere she wishes without hesitation, which leads to more than one mishap. She doesn't care about social norms or morality itself, she will walk in on you taking a shit and will have a full-length conversation with you. One of her biggest flaws, among others, is her dependence. Rhitta finds it hard to care for herself, because she doesn't care about her body, about her image, it matters not to her. It allows her to be brave and act without being tied down by things such as how others think of her, but at the same time, it gives her a lack of identity. She doesn't know who she is, or who she wants to be. And instead clings onto the fragments of what the witches that abducted her put in her mind. From this, she also has a lack of shame and has problems seeing the wrong in what she's done/

Personality: Rhitta is very loud an boisterous, constantly stating her opinion even if it's wrong. She has a strong passion for combat, although she isn't a fighter, she finds it much more exciting to be used by someone to fight. She's very submissive in nature and finds it best to function when someone is watching over her and telling her what to do but can function perfectly well by herself. She is extremely curious, a habit she picked up from the witches that she was raised with. They'd constantly examine her and her friends, as such she's grown to constantly examine her allies, and enemies. Going as far as to touch them over their entire body, especially areas they'd rather not be touched. Especially females, as she's infatuated with the concept of breasts.

Biography: Rhitta has no memories before her life with the Witches. She has no idea who her parents are, or who her family is. It was once thought her memories were sealed with magic, but it would have been more accurate to be seen as her memories themselves being erased. Within the Realm of the Witches, she was raised with the only motherly figure she knew, if she could be seen as such. Her name was Weaver, and it'd be more accurate to call her a prison warden than to call her a mother. She was the official caretaker of Rhitta, along with the hundreds of other human children, meisters and weapons, in a place they called the School. She remembers the school vividly, and how much she hated it. Every day she'd be subject to different experiments, social experiments, physical ones, torture. They'd bring her and her soul to the breaking point, inflicting her with such madness that it drove her crazy, and then brought her back, just to see how she'd change. They injected her with odd liquids that made her body burn, and inflicted wounds on her to see how she'd "heal". She remembers being forced to eat souls, human souls at that, pure souls that had never done a thing wrong. She remembers the way it felt going down her throat, how horrible it was, and yet, how good it made her feel. She spent several years with the witches, she had no idea what she was there for, but the more time she had with them the more she heard of the Project, of something called black blood, and about how "special" she was. And the more time she spent with them, the more people around her disappeared. One after the other, more of the other schools' inhabitants died off. Until eventually, she was the only one left. That's when the experiments increased, the torture ensued, and everything she knew of, everything she had known as right and wrong, began to twist within her.

Around that time, when she was 10, was when she was rescued by DWMA Agents. Her memories from that day are extremely blurry, she remembers being ordered by Weaver to kill them, and she remembers her body burning, and then the feeling of electricity. When she awoke, she was within the confines of DWMA. She was informed of her situation days later. She was the subject of Witch experimentation, and within her system lied something called Black Blood. The plans the witches had for her were unknown, but it was a good thing she was rescued at the time she was. From there she would go on to live within Death City, and attend DWMA as a normal student. To both watch over her, and educate her on the real world, and hopefully have her be an asset instead of an enemy.

Weapon Type: Dark Weapon
  • latest
Demon Great Sword: As a Demon Great Sword, Rora's weapon form sword takes the form of a heavy broadsword covered mostly in dirt and scuff marks. The blade and the hilt are separated from each other and connected by a fuller. The hilt appears as the handle to a normal longsword, while the blade is huge and has a pointed tip while the base is pointing inward, creating an angle. The sword is capable of cutting things up with great power carrying it, but due to just how unstable her wavelength can be it can be hard to wield her. With her Anti-Magic Wavelength, the edge of the blade can also cut apart magic, and the flat side of the blade can deflect magic. The bottom of the blade's hilt can dispel spells placed on a person by touching the affected part. Her blade actually originally used to be white but after her experimentation, and being infected with Black Blood, her blade has turned black, and now sports dirt and rough patches, as if it was old and used.

Fighting Style: Plain and simple, she has none. Aurora knows how to throw a punch, but she herself does not fight. She can't even do a partial transformation. So without a Meister most times she sits back and cheers her allies on from the sidelines.

Abilities:
  • Anti-Magic Wavelength: Aurora has an Anti-Magic Wavelength, which allows her to dispel, repel, and extinguish magic. This was originally the reason why she herself was kidnapped as a child. With her Wavelength, she can dispel hexes, chants, and evil magic, even magic that isn't evil. Although this is in her weapon form, in her normal form she finds it troublesome and hard to do, and would only be able to dispel minor spells. Although this can change with more training.
  • Black Blood: Rora has been injected with Black Blood, or at least, an incomplete version. Before the Black Blood within her could be perfected, she was saved by DWMA agents. The Black Blood within her can be hardened and weaponized, but nowhere near the same strength and versatility as one who has perfected Black Blood, as she can't shape it or harden it when it's outside of her body (unless it's in conjunction with her Meister). Her Black Blood has no effect on her strength as a person, giving her no physical enhancements other than slightly increasing her healing speed. Her Black Blood, however, does not lack the madness which Black Blood effects. It comes up in strenuous situations, making her more dangerous and erratic, as well as whoever wields her. Her Black Blood is highly susceptible to soul attacks, and she takes more damage than normal people.
  • Black Room: When fully transformed, she can enter a "Black Room", where a large red demon acts as it's the owner. The demon is the source of her inner madness and constantly tries to have her succumb to her inner madness. Within the Black Room is a stage and a Microphone, which she can sing from. Unknown to her, the singing she produces inside the Black Room can affect others.
  • Full Weapon Transformation: Aurora is capable of completely turning her body into a weapon, but the opposite of most others, she finds it extremely hard to use a Partial Transformation, and with her lack of combat she's almost useless without a Meister.

Theme Song: TBD

Name: Jocelyn “Jacy” Thames

Spirit Animal / Witch Type: Griffin

Age: 89

Gender: Female

Height: 5’11”

Character Strengths:
  • Ambitious: Jacy knows what she wants and methodically lays out the steps to get to that point. She’s very goal oriented and works towards her goals using smaller ones.
  • Controlled: This is particularly relevant considering she is a witch. Jacy has learned what the pull of magic feels like and she’s very skilled at bringing herself to a safe space once it begins to tug at her in order to avoid inappropriate destruction. She understands that each life has value and doesn’t want to damage the life cycle.
  • Resourceful: When no one will tell her the answer, Jacy’s very good at going out and looking for it or for someone who can provide it.
  • Charismatic: This is a trait her mom will outright deny Jacy possesses, but almost everyone else states she does have it. She’s very good at drawing other people to herself and she’s good at gaining the trust of difficult individuals.
Character Flaws:
  • Ambitious: By many regards, Jacy’s ambition reaches dangerous levels sometimes. She essentially wants to take her mother’s place as leader of all witches in existence, something her mom has denied to her since she was born.
  • Impatient: Jacy’s not used to having to rely on other people a lot so when she does need to rely on someone else, she’s not very good at waiting on them. She’s the kind of person who’s always going to be pestering for answers.
  • Holds Grudges: More so towards her family than anyone else, this could technically apply to anyone. If you wrong her in any way at all, Jacy won’t forget about it and she won’t let it go.
  • Over-Confident: Jacy doesn’t often prepare for her goals or her plans to go wrong so it’s an absolute disaster when/if things do fail. She only has plan A. Plan B does not exist
Personality: Confidently calm and collected is a good way of describing Jacy upon meeting her. It is important to acknowledge that she will only respond to Jacy and will not acknowledge that Jocelyn is her true name at all. She comes off as pleasant, polite, social and receptive to almost anything anyone has to tell her. Of course, if they have negative things to tell her, then the pleasantness that she puts off is just a facade, but it takes a while for people to realize that. She’s open to making friends with anyone who’s willing to put an effort into it and she trusts other people fairly easily unless they are her family - then trust is near impossible.

Among other witches, she exudes an air of authority because she’s aiming to be the leader of all witches. That being said, she is open to listening to others, unlike her mother, and she doesn’t go around giving orders because she knows that she doesn’t have any power yet. When she is within humanity, Jacy surprisingly comes off as extremely human, particularly when they have no knowledge of her background as a witch.

DWMA Association: Trial Student (Witch)

Time at the DWMA: New

Rank: At the school, she has none. Among witches, she’s the daughter of the witch ruler.

Fighting Style: Jacy excels at hand-to-hand combat when used in conjunction with her magic. She won’t run from a fight, but when many watch her fight, they’ll also tell you she doesn’t fight to win. She fights to exhaust her opponent. Jacy would rather make her opponent surrender to her than to outright kill them or knock them out. She wants them to be the one to tell her she won.

Abilities:
  • Wing Manifestation: Jacy can manifest golden pixie-dust-like wings that actually allow her to fly.
  • Golden Armor: Almost all of Jacy’s magic manifests itself as something like golden pixie dust and she can exude it over her body in such a way that it acts like armor, hardening her blows and protecting her body. It’s not perfect, but she uses it well enough to suffice as light armor.
  • Claw Manifestation: Jacy’s fingernails can transform into claws and she can fight with them and climb with them.
  • Soul Protect: Jacy is capable of casting this spell. She hates hiding, though, so she rarely uses it. If there was an important stealth mission, she would employ this tactic.
Backstory:
Jessamine Thames - the dragon witch - is over 600 years old and she is the current leader of the witch’s order. She thought her time to have any descendants had passed her by and she was fine with that as her line was secured in both her sister and her brother, all of whom possessed the sacred abilities of fire. However, at a little less than a hundred years ago, she stumbled upon a human male who was fun to play around with and in that ‘play,’ Jocelyn Thames was conceived and born. Unlike the others in her family - traced back for millenia upon millenia - Jocelyn was not born in a womb of fire. Far from it, actually - Jocelyn was born in a womb of… pixie dust? Regardless of what it was, Jessamine was furious that her daughter could not carry on the family line due to lack of fire. She went on a rampage and burned an entire city to the ground - the city that Jocelyn’s father called home.

Growing up completely unwanted and nearly completely disregarded, most of what Jocelyn learned of life was taught to her by her uncle and her aunt, both of whom were close to her mother, but who also had enough distance to sort of care for Jessamine’s unwanted and pathetic daughter. Growing up, there was one thing Jocelyn always wanted - to surprass her mother and show the witch overlord that she was worthy of succeeding her. Most of her growing up took place within the witch realm and so when the pull of magic first struck her, it was nothing out of the ordinary. Her aunt actually delighted in it and used that as an opportunity to attempt showing her niece some of her research.

Unfortunately for her aunt, showing Jocelyn the research had the opposite effect. Jocelyn was disgusted with the intentional pain and agony that her aunt inflicted on these beings who she hadn’t even known existed. Jocelyn ran out of the witch’s realm that day and spent the next 20 years of her life living as a human teenage girl. She managed to get herself adopted by a human family and she loved them. She learned that humans were - or could be - just like witches in personal circumstances. She made friends and she secretly practiced what little magic she knew. It wouldn’t last, though. She’d done a good job hiding, but the DWMA found her and began hunting her. She fought back - to dire consequences. Her human family died that day and her aunt came to retrieve her before she could lose her soul to the weapon and meister she’d encountered.

Her mom scolded her beyond believe, explained that meisters, weapons and witches could never be as one, and gave Jocelyn thorough instruction on the rules she had to abide by as a witch. By then, Jocelyn was Jacy and she hated every rule her mom threw at her because none of them made any sense to her. She’d already proven to herself that humans and witches could co-exist so why not go further and co-exist with the DWMA as well? At the time, she lacked the power and the plan to make it real, though.

Slowly, Jacy built up a solid group of friends among the young witch community and she developed a plan that would allow her to achieve both ambitions - change the rules, and succeed her mother. First, she had to beat her mother at her own game. After 89 years of growth, Jacy left the witch’s realm for what she knows will be the last time for at least a few years, and had a conversation with the Grim Reaper himself.

Name: Jayce Hamerkin

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Height: 4’9”

Character Strengths: There are a few traits Jayce possesses that could be considered strengths. He is extremely honest; he cannot tell a lie... well, on most things. He lies about how he feels sometimes, but he will rarely ever lie to another person about his opinion or what he has been up to. His anti-magic wavelength could be considered a strength. He is also a fairly good judge of people. When he decides to befriend someone, usually that friend turns out to be a worthy friend. He’s fairly well off academically and he can transform without problems more often than not.

Character Flaws: Jayce’s major weakness is the fact that he has post-traumatic stress disorder and he is in denial of it. He gets very anxious at times and he is very easily frightened. He tries to get really close to his meister partner, and many interpret that as him getting too close and becoming clingy. He has a bad reputation at the DWMA so older students avoid him. Jayce tends to lean a bit more than is appropriate on other people for emotional support.

Personality: Because Jayce is in denial about his post-traumatic stress disorder, he has a lot of symptoms that he either ignores or is completely unaware of. His body gets really shaky when he enters a fight and although it isn't evident when he is in weapon form, it is noticeable prior to his transformation. He has also never told anyone what happened to him on his mission two years ago when he lost his meister on an extra lesson; rather, when asked about it, Jayce freezes up and vanishes for sometimes two days before returning to classes.

Overall, though, Jayce does try to befriend the others within his class. He is always one of the first people to talk to a new student, especially because he knows he really should give them a good first impression before they hear the rumors that the other students might have to say about him.

DWMA Association: Student Weapon

Time at DWMA: 4 years

Rank: 1-Star Weapon

Weapon Form: Khopesh

Fighting Style: Jayce is trained in partial transformations to a small degree, but he doesn’t really fight on his own. When on his own, he runs.

Abilities:
  • Anti-Demon Wavelength: He’s unaware of it. He has no idea what it does. It’s there, though.
  • Full Transformation: Jayce can reasonably transform himself into a fully functional khopesh.
  • Partial Transformation: Jayce can do arm into blade about 50% of the time he attempts it.

Backstory:
Born prematurely to a teenage mother, Jayce was put up for adoption and adopted into a family of three that was fairly well off. He never knew that he was adopted; Jacye believed that Mila was his sister and that Mila’s parents were his parents. It never really mattered to anything that Jayce’s belief on that was incorrect. Jayce was a very energetic child which led him to have a fun childhood. He made plenty of friends when he started school, his teachers loved him and his older sister was a good role model for him to aspire to.

Unfortunately when he was ten, the childhood he grew to love came to an end when he accidentally triggered his ability as a demon weapon, transforming into a khopesh and falling lifeless to the floor. His parents panicked, unaware that such a thing was possible, and they looked up everything they could, even after he managed to bring himself back into a human shape. Swiftly and purposefully, Jayce was shipped off to the DWMA.

Initially, he was upset that he was no longer with his friends, but that wore off quickly. Jayce was almost instantly partnered up with Kyrsten, a new meister who was a year younger than he himself was. The two of them grew really close and they were both fairly popular among their classmates although Kyrsten was the one everyone loved; Jayce was the one who stood by her side and looked pretty.

After spending two years as partners and going through NOT classes, Kyrsten and Jayce finally got their first mission as members of the EAT class and they were both very excited. The job was simple. There was a doctor who had crossed out of the realm of humanity with his experiments on his patients. He wasn’t known to have any fighting skills although he was feasting on human souls. Jayce and Kyrsten tracked him down easily, only to quickly discover that his experiments were being supervised by a witch. Kyrsten and Jayce tried to run, but the witch had noticed them and killed Kyrsten as Jayce was transforming in order to try and defend his meister. Terrified that his meister had been defeated so easily, Jayce could not bring himself to return to human form and when the witch approached, he did nothing. He partially remembers the witch approaching him although for some reason, she left the limp khopesh on the ground before taking his meister’s dead body and leaving. Jayce does not know why she would’ve decided to leave him alone and he doesn’t even want to consider a reason for her to have taken his meister’s body.

Upon his return to the DWMA without his meister, Jayce was suspended and the situation was investigated. It was clear that he was traumatized beyond belief and that the mission had been a failure. Lord Death coaxed some information out of him although most of the story remains a secret to this day. His fellow students blamed him for the death of their good friend. Jayce was labeled a coward and still has remnants of the trauma he went through on that day. That was two years ago.
