One of the several ideas in my mind for roleplays is called Dust in the Wind.
This is a dark fantasy/horror idea. There's magic, races such as elves, dwarves, halflings, orcs, etc.
No real restrictions on the races, but please no super-races with awesome powers and all that sort of things.
The Story
The plague had taken many victims as it came, and the plague had been swift. Within only days of being affected, people would die. Their bodies shriveled and turned to dust, only leaving a black outline of where the body had been. Entire villages burned down to the ground and many desperately tried to escape the haze that always seemed to accompany the plague. As quickly as it had come, the plague disappeared, as if a fresh wind blew away the haze that covered the land.
Now, more than two-hundred years later, the haze has returned, and victims will be made again. The lands are dry, dusty and gray. In some parts nothing grows, and the few animals that remain seem sick. Their skin is blackened and flaky. Their eyes empty and their mouths foaming. Almost as if… they’re not really living creatures anymore. Some people are starting to feel unwell too. It’s only a matter of time before things will get out of hand again. No cure is known. The only hope left is a few people brave enough to find the cause of the plague and stop it, before it’s too late.
