  The Secret Passageway

  Every great discovery is a beacon illuminated by the sacrifices of the seeker. In this case, a cartographer, doubted by his peers, uncovered a passageway that remained untouched by the many delvers that passed through the dungeons. The price for this revelation was the very life of the one who found it, forcefully taken by the hands of greed.
  
  As the Lord of Fortune would have it, the act of betrayal would not go unnoticed. After a group of delvers confronted the traitor, they brought the cartographer’s lifeless body back to the surface to be renewed.
  
  But what became of the hidden passageway that the cartographer found?
  
  Despite his brief embrace with Death, the seeker requested yet another group to traverse the roads below and unearth the secrets of what yet has been fully uncovered.

The Lionheart's Meeting Room, Closter

With the discovery of a secret passageway within what was thought to be the completely mapped out first floor of the expansive dungeons, the four pillars had agreed to sanction off the entrance for the safety of delvers passing through. Although a traitor, a veteran delver was easily dragged into the depths of the unknown opening which would explain why caution was exercised so heavily. No one was to enter, poke, or even smell around until a capable team swept through the area first.

After some consideration, the four pillars employed six delvers. Whether they were trustworthy or not was a gamble but each had proven to be capable in their own right. Appointed as the leader of this prestigious expedition was a human cleric with fiery red hair and a questionable personality. Although she was fairly new to the delving operations, her involvement in the discovery of this passageway constituted her as the primary candidate to lead.

Details about the expedition were shared among the other employed delvers, which included a location and time for a brief meeting to strategize and become familiar with one another. As the expedition leader, Aureliana was the first to arrive at the meeting room, sitting at the head of the table where she leaned back all the way until only the back legs of the chair held her up. She hummed a random tune while she waited for the others to show face.

Expedition #2

SILVANDER

HUMAN FIGHTER

The Roads Below, Dungeons under Caedia

Silvander was a bit further from the other delvers, always keeping a bit of distance from everyone else subconsciously. Ever since the incident with Boris, he seemed extra quiet, rarely interacting with anyone. With Boris's massive axe on his back, he leaned on a nearby bookshelf while crossing his arms. Like before, he still wore his mask, obscuring his face and his emotions.

"We meet again, Cleric."

He spoke, his voice slightly muffled by his mask. However there was a small hint of friendliness in it. Afterall, she was technically the reason he had survived that encounter with Boris. Even now there is still a lingering rage in his heart, disappointed that he did not get to return the favor for what Boris had done to the poor map charter.

"The boy....did they manage to revive him?"

Even so, despite his desire to exact retribution, he did not forget the aftermath of the battle towards innocent map maker. He has heard that with powerful magic, it was possible to bring back the recently departed if the conditions were met. Silvander could only hope that such a young man would be given a second chance in life.
