1. Am I to assume that the nature of names is similar to the idea of 'true' names where they hold power over someone if you know it?
1. Similar, yes.
Certain Entities will have powers that will work if they know a person via their 'birth name', true name, etc. There have been events where Contractors have used Entities to target specific people with certain supernatural abilities by knowing their real name. But not all have this ability. Just a safety precaution. Don't want to randomly combust into flames one day.
2. How do Entities manifest themselves? Is it whatever they represent or is it really up to them? (i.e an entity representing the concept of greed would be an amorphous slot machine or something)
2. It is a mix of both, I won't be too strict on this. For one such as Greed, well, it can appear in many ways, as Greed comes in many forms. Most of the time, Entities are amalgamations of things they are related to. Some come in the form of inanimate objects, even. Be creative, have fun with it!
3. Are Entities lucid while in a contract? Such as the Entity being able to convey thoughts within their contracted person?
3. Yes, they are aware and they can communicate. Some don't care if their Contractor dies, and some might find it 'inconvenient'. They are 'immortal' in essence, but they can die, temporarily, and will suffer extremely without the 'wholeness' of humans. They can be contracted to care, but that usually comes at an extra cost.
4. And if so, if one has contracts with multiple Entities, would they all be lucid or would that be determined during the process of a contract?
4. As mentioned before, they are all aware of what happens to their Contractors. Entities are even aware of what happens to multiple Contractors they are bound to simultaneously. Some are more talkative than others. Some don't even talk at all.
5. How do the powers of someone with a contract manifest? Is it like a Stand or something along the lines of Persona? Do their bodies change to represent aspects of that entity?
5. Their bodies do change, but what is lost and gained depends on the Entity at hand. A contract's Seal can come in many forms, a body marking, an object, even as a companion. If one is contracted with use the 'arm' of an Entity, they would have full capabilities that this arm can provide. And it may manifest like a spirit, or physically from a portal nearby, or it would just replace their own arm. Just as an example. To have a 'stand' means one would have to be in contract of the full power of an Entity, to use its 'whole body', essentially. The 'complete package' can be quite powerful, and would often require a very high price to pay. But not all the times.


Entity Threat Rating System:
Entities are not rating by their pure violence, but their estimated capability for the amount of violence they can bring. Should they desire. Thought not all Entities wish the destruction of humanity, they all harbor a desire, that when unquenched, can lead to them acting out and requiring adequate response. There are Entities that are known to be... tolerant of humanities existence as vessels to be used to satisfy their own necessary cravings and desires.

One of the most commonly known is the Contract Entity, a mysterious force that carries out the duty of binding humans to EEs in what can be considered a harmonious union. Supposedly, it's contract is free, but some speculate it is one made with Humanity itself.

Some agencies have employed certain Entities who have been contracted for their useful skills and talents rather than combat ability, such as that of Empathy acting as 'psychiatrist' for the New Orleans Contracts Agency.

-Isolation - There are very few human ideas that overpower their deepest instincts. The facets of humanity that are the darkest and seldom talked about. The things of deepest Nightmare. Any such categorized Entity in this threat will force to be reckoned with. Their powers can be so hard to contain that they would seem an unstoppable force. Those in this tier are viewed as threats to an nation should they escape the Isolation Blocks in the deepest layers of Containment Vaults. If such to appear, or escape, only the highest level of response and containment will be enough to detain such an EE.
-Disaster - Some Entities emerge who are vessels of powerful ideals, concepts, and emotions. Whenever these things flare in great concentrations, such an entity will appear, as though compelled to respond to it. Their capabilities range from esoteric in nature, obtuse but absolute, to great storms that tear apart the sky. Capable of threatening an entire city.
- Proximity - Capable of causing a large amount of damage, both to human and environment, but not exclusive to either. This damage, though great, is limited in scope and would only present danger to the immediate localized area.
- Recon - Threatening to a group of humans if not dealt properly.
- Emergent - Unknown proceed with caution.

Fall Sectors:
The Afterlight is an event that could be considered in some ways more world-altering than that of all other recorded past events in history. Perhaps on some level, the falling and ending the age of Dinosaurs altered the Earth more physically. Or the invention of the hydrogen bomb shifting the nature of war into one waged not with arms but via political discourse and the misinformation and manipulation of knowledge. After the Afterlight, the way humans must frame themselves on a grand scale has been radically shifted. The delicate ecosystem governing the natural balance of things was changed forever. The supernatural was made real. The existence of a place of both dreams and nightmares conjoined in our collective thoughts. Some might say, it was only a matter of time. The darkness we try to bury, the truth that we try to lie about ourselves. Nothing truly goes away. It's one of the principle laws of physics, isn't it?

'Nothing can be completely destroyed. It only changes form...'

Though Fall Sectors vary vastly on appearance and size, one common thing is shared between them. The existence of a newfound particle known as the Eclipse Particle. This strange colored ash stirs in these dying lands, fluttering from one place to another within, upsetting and dissolving the natural order of the world.

This particle is known to spur unexplainable events and phenomena, such as oddly colored rain, transporting objects from one place to another, and or causing things to levitate for a short time before dropping them. It can even altering the minds of those who are exposed to it for too long. The most common case is the feeling of vertigo and a distorted sense of one surroundings, and of being watched. Those exposed long enough are recorded to say they see things that don't exist, and eventually become nearly catatonic and unresponsive. Even when recovered, there are lingering effects that cause individuals to suffer mentally. This is known as Illucidity Syndrome.

Contractors seem resistant to the mind-altering effects of the E-Particle.

Known World Alterations as a result of the Afterlight:
Will group countries under Continent for easier navigation at a later date.

> AUSTRALIA - the continent is completely displaced, having sunken in the the Pacific Ocean.

> UNITED STATES - The West Coast is virtually destroyed, resulting in a massive tract of scorched wilderness across this side of the North American continent. This forms the second largest known Fall Sector in the world, dubbed ominously as the Red Shore based on the red sedentary that has creeped across the land. Similar to Canada, reclamation efforts are in heavy swing as raw resources are in high demand due to grand restoration projects across the weakened country. Firearms are known to be used by the American public in response to the Entities, but as the country has seen the largest influx of immigrants in its history, desperation due to shortages have lead to many violent looting incidents and armed robberies on government and private storefronts and warehouses. Among countless reports of individual muggings. Increased military presence to enforce an armed public has lead to heightened fear and an increased emergence of high-threat EEs.

Tensions rise behind doors on the accessibility of firearms and their open distribution among the public.

A few states have, in response, adopted new legistlation on heavy restrictions for firearm ownership.

> LATIN AMERICA - Many of the smaller countries with weaker centralized government and structure had no chanced during the Afterlight, and were swallowed whole. The remaining Latin American countries have formed into an alliance known as the 'South-Central American Cooperation'.
> PERU - Parts destroyed.
> CUBA/PUERTO RICO - Both countries are in ruins, the landmass seemingly pulled from underneath. Only vestiges of human society can be seen floating the ocean where it once was.

> IRELAND - Northern Ireland has been reduced to a Fall Sector known as Tír na nÓg, home to an ancient -disaster threat Entity of Irish folklore.

> CANADA - The Canadian Shield was quickly lost to the entities, leading to a mass exodus away to the west as military forces tried to contain the threat. For hundreds of miles barricades can be seen scattered across the Canadian Fall Sectors. Shipwrecks of old battleships still line the harbors, torn shells of destroyed tank hulls, and the ruins of the old city appear largely intact. The only problem is the infestation of the Entities. Exploration and expansion efforts are currently being dispatched to reclaim land, and secure raw resources.

> North Korea - A firestorm engulfed the capital city, causing a rapid destabilization of the nation. Parts of it are being reclaimed by the remaining Korean nation.

> China/Russia - A series of craters rippled across the continent of Asia, nearly splitting it in two. The quakes started in the northern Russian city of Norilsk, along with -redacted-, quickly spreading down the landmass in a diagonal and ceasing after being halted in Beijing. As of present day, this is the largest recorded Fall Sector on Earth. Due to the unusually high concentration of E-Particles emitting from this large canyon of craters, the extent of the supernatural effects of these particles are recorded to occur beyond the limits of the Fall Sector. At an approximate 50-mile radius surrounding the zone is declared no-mans land, and is referred to as the 'Twilight Zone'. Because of the sheer danger and unpredictability of the storms that reap the barren lands, re-colonization efforts have long since been abandoned by neighboring countries.

A series of blockades have been erected by surviving local governments, earning the fall sector its popularized name as the 'Iron Border'.

> India - Centralized destruction, leading to parts of it being claimed by nearby nations. A nationalistic resistance force exists in this divided state, bitter over the opportunist declaration of the country.

List of Known Neutral/Allied Entities
> Freedom Entity -Emergent - an EE that seems to escape any containment contingency protocols by the the Agency of Civil Contracts, possessing powers that appear to ignore physics to alter matter and space as it prefers. Despite this fact, the eerie feline-shaped EE is not found on any high-alert bounty boards on display within any of the public contracting networks. This is mainly due to the fact that it has not and does not seem to intend to threaten humanity in any way. In supporting reports, there are many instances where agents who are stuck in captivity by -redacted- who are saved by this Eclipse Entity. For a price.

> Gate Entity -Isolation - Perhaps the most well-known EE of the civil contracting world. Certain Civil Contractors, who make a contract with the Gate Entity are tasked with a special role within the agency and become what are known as Gate Keeper. This EE allows Gate Keeper to create gates that bridges between any two places, similar in concept to a wormhole. By entering a gate from one side, one will exit from the other side instantaneously. With proper placement of hidden gates, this allows civil dispatch teams to reach areas of emergency much quicker than they normally would via conventional travel.

These Gate Keepers also allows Civil Contractors their main ability to detain EEs, by setting up a temporary gate and having it teleport into containment units.
