Drift Second Gear:

Powers/Signature Move: Theme: Tokusatsu-Type Hero that has the motif of a car. The power-ups are in inspiration from what a car can do such as spinning, drifting, overheating and etc.

  • Drift 1st Gear: This is Drift Rider's basic form upon transformation using the Drift Bracer. It gives Ken basic enhancements to all physical stats to be considered a basic superhuman. This form, while still higher in physical ability compared to a regular human, cannot hold up to par with a superhuman gifted in a particular stat. To be more specific, it grants one a bit more than just peak human physical condition than what is humanly possible. Strength that is enough to break through a brick wall, speeds equivalent to 30 mph, jumping height equal to about 40 meters, and endurance to handle regular human weapons but not by much. It focuses on balance and does not go overboard with power. This form is a precursor to his much better forms and a prelude to his potential as Drift Rider. In terms of any special abilities it possess, the form can allow Ken to perform a "human drift" by using his legs to drift.

  • Drift 2nd Gear - Drift Tuning [Future form]: Drift Rider's abilities are improved in this next form. His strength can make dents in steel, speeds are equivalent to 60 mph, jumping height is now equal to about 60 meters and his endurance is improved somewhat. In addition, it can use the Primary Engines since 1st Gear is unable to use them. The reason is because Drift Tuned has enough power to handle the Primary Engine's enhancements. 1st Gear would just be barely able to use it and then be forced out of transformation.

  • Signature Move:
Finisher - Handle Break: This is a finisher involving the Handle Sword. Drift Rider unleashes a strong sword slash attack that projects itself at the target.

[*]Finisher - Door Buster: This is a finisher involving the Door Gun. Drift Rider unleashes a strong shot at the target.

[*]Finisher - Dash Launcher: This is a finisher when using the Dash Engine. Drift Rider unleashes a multitude of dash attacks at the target and finishes with a dash kick.

[*]Finisher - Initial D!: This is a finisher when using the Eight-Six Engine. Drift Rider performs a continuous drift and uses the Handle Sword/Door Gun to repeatedly assault the opponent. It finishes with a Drift Kick.

[*]More finishers to be made once the RP progresses. Just listing them all here will take forever.

Power Limitations:

  • Too much damage will force him out of transformation and a cool down system is implemented so it will take a bit before he can transform again.

  • Transforming requires the Drift Bracer.

Abilities:

  • CQC

  • Driving in a vehicle that has wheels

  • Adapts to the situation at hand

Weapons/Gadgets/Tech:

  • Drift Bracer: This is a simple bracer that Ken wears on his left arm. It allows him to transform into Drift Rider by turning a handle located on the middle of the bracer. The appearance is a basic circular pad with what appears to be a sliding dock on top.

  • [Future][Primary] Heat Engine:
The Engines are simple parts that slide through the sliding dock on top of the drift bracer and are used to enhance Drift Rider. The Heat Engine is in the appearance of a 'burning' toy car. (It's not really burning but it's more like one of those toy cars with fake plastic fire.) This grants Drift Rider to power to use heat infusion with himself and the weapons he uses, but as consequence it drastically decreases his speed as a result. There are three stages to the Heat Infusion process that he has to keep in mind. Mild, Heat and Overheat. Mild is when the heat infusion isn't too strong and is only as strong as regular fires. Heat is when the heat infusion becomes stronger and is enough to melt through steel. Overheat is the last but most dangerous level as it the heat and energy can force Ken out of his transformation. In Overheat, Drift Rider produces a hot red aura which also gives off some strong heat. The heat infusion in Overheat is enough to create compressed air which can knock back people. as well as get rid of fires. In addition the heat is so strong that it even affects Ken himself despite transformed. One of the reasons why he is forced out of transformation when using it is because of a safety precaution. If he didn't have it then he would die from heat within minutes.
  • [Future][Primary] Cyclone Engine:
This Engine is in the appearance of a car that seems to be within a spinning motion with what seems to be wind being generated. This grants Drift Rider swift movements and speed but drastically decreases his strength and endurance as a result. In addition to the increases in agility, Drift Rider can also utilize the power of the wind to fly mid-air as well as produce his own air currents. Granted he can't create powerful storms or anything like that but he can at least make some strong winds capable of knocking back humans.
  • [Secondary] Dash Engine: This Engine is in the appearance of a car with what seems to be sparks coming from the tires. Drift Rider is granted the power to perform swift spurts of speeds much like how one is dashing.

  • [Future][Secondary] Eight-Six Engine: This Engine takes on the appearance of the Toyota AE86. Drift Rider's ability to create human drifts is enhanced and can perform continuous drifts so long as he has the skill to control them. In addition the sparks generated from surface grinding can be used to create "drift kicks" which are kicks enhanced with the energy built up from drift.

  • Handle Sword: This is the sword used for melee combat. The Engines can be inserted to initiate finishing moves as well as different attacks.

  • Door Gun: This is the gun used for ranged combat. The Engines can also be inserted to initiate finishing moves as well as different attacks.

Weaknesses:

  • When not transformed, Ken is basically vulnerable to anything that can kill a human.

  • Drift Rider, while on the level of basic superhuman, does not possess superhuman senses. Meaning that attacks that are hard to detect can become an issue, especially invisible attacks. If Ken wants to fight against such things then he will have to rely on skill which can be an uphill challenge depending on the opponent.

  • Taking significant damage will force him out of transformation. When this happens, Ken will be weakened due to the damage suffered and will be very vulnerable.

Rank in G.S.U.N: N/A

Short backstory:

As the son of a Professional Racer, Ken wanted to follow in his father's footsteps ever since he was very young and saw one of his races. Growing up in L.A was fairly good except for the occasional crimes and what not. Still Ken would not let that hinder on his quest to become a Pro Racer though one event would forever cement in his mind. As he would be walking home from School, Ken would be heading down the streets as he would accidentally stumble onto a shooting between two people. The shooter saw Ken and would proceed to fire as Ken would instinctively run. Still Ken did not have much energy and it would seem to be the end until he would be saved by what seemed to be a drifting car. It would barely hit at the shooter, who in instinct dropped his gun. The driver would come on out and kick the gun away from the man and knocked him out swiftly. After a police phone call, the driver would look at Ken and tell him to keep on with what he wants to do and no matter what happens he should drift through any obstacle in his way.

Since then Ken would be motivated to also be someone who fought for the greater good of others, especially those who would dare to crush the dreams of others. It would be present day as Ken would be trying his best to improve his racing skills in order to go Pro as well as try to stop any normal crimes that he could stop. He would find the Drift Bracer and two "toy cars" given by a stranger. The stranger told him that there was someone who could see the justice within him and wanted to let him become someone else to stop villains. From there he would look at the Drift Bracer only to see the mysterious stranger gone.

Basic Personality (include their motivation to be a hero and their mental and emotional strengths and weaknesses both physical and mental please!):

Ken is a guy of dreams and often finds himself driving in his car through the streets of L.A. He isn't afraid to talk to other people but doesn't find himself engaging in many conversations. The most noticeable thing about Ken is usually when he drives since people claim that he becomes an entirely different person when driving. He becomes calm, at ease and acts according to instinct and intellect. The same can apply for when he becomes Drift Rider since to him Driving and Fighting are two very similar acts even if people may disagree. Usually he finds himself relaxing but when trouble calls then he snaps into his Driver Persona. Though he doesn't really seem to notice the change himself and just says he doesn't find himself that much different.
