Fantasy Dragon Song [Anime-style, Long-Term Adventure - Closed/FULL!]

I'm realizing I should probably find a picture of Ashe's Dragon Arm. (Low key that name reminds me of Devil May Cry and I'm picturing them activating it as pulling their Devil Triggers)

Tetro Tetro Heat Resistant is not a talent, and Dragon King's Blessing may not work on every dragon because we have some who oppose the element of fire such as water and ice.

Tetro Tetro Heat Resistant is not a talent, and Dragon King's Blessing may not work on every dragon because we have some who oppose the element of fire such as water and ice.
Dragon King's Blessing was more of a supportive magic thing than a fire thing, the feeling could just be described as a "warmth". But I changed it anyways as well as the talent. Does it look good now?

I should really read the sheets more (Colored text gives me a headache T-T) Ayn's hailstorm is gonna give Ashe such a headache lol

Tetro Tetro I think you are looking at this like a video game. There is no mana. If your character cannot use his fire anymore, then he is more than likely exhausted, inhibited, or unconscious. His talents are good. Just get rid of magic damage and mana in your dragon arts. If you want just burn damage due to them being lit on fire or saying something like the flames are difficult to extinguish, then that fits more the theme of this game.

  • Mage 410.jpg Artist: BukuroteCharacter Name: Vyra Grayward
    Nickname(s): Dog
    Alias: The Beast of Grayward
    Age: 33
    Race: Dragonkin
    Height: 6'5"
    Weight: 240 lbs
    Hair Color: Dirty Blonde
    Eye Color: Green
    Complexion: Tan

    Dragon Type: Gluttony
General Description: Vyra is an exceptionally large woman, towering over most of her peers at full height; although she is often hunched, making her appear much shorter than she is. Her teeth are eerily sharp, made for rending and eviscerating meat -- and anything else that fits into her mouth, really. In contrast with her boorish posture and animalistic features, she is frequently dressed in elegant noble attire, usually some kind of loose fitting dress. Gloves don't quite work so well with her however, as her claws are about as sharp as her teeth.

Dragon Arm: Sever - An ornate meat cleaver with an elaborate curved edge. The weapon is eight inches long, with a gleaming silver blade and a polished redwood handle. Its unique property allows it to glide through organic material without any kind of resistance.

    Talents
    • Educated - Vyra is well informed in the matter of politics and history as a result of her noble upbringing.
    • Cuisine - Vyra is an incredible chef... but she has a habit of eating things raw anyway.
    • Iron Stomach - Vyra can digest virtually anything.
    • Sense of Smell - Vyra has an awfully sensitive nose and can track things by scent if she gets a good whiff.

Fighting Style: Like her alias implies, Vyra fights like a feral beast, guided by sharpened natural instincts. She's perfectly capable of martial combat if needed, but it's not her preferred style.

    Dragon Arts:
    • Gluttony - When Vyra is actively trying to feast on something or someone, she partially ignores pain and immobilizing effects, but still suffers any damage dealt to her.
    • Death Maw - Vyra's jaws grow to a horrifyingly massive size for a single devastating bite. If she misses her target or eats only a little bit with this attack, she immediately begins starving. If she catches and eats a large chunk of her target, she becomes satiated.
    • Starving - While starving, Vyra's senses are heightened to extreme levels, allowing her to track and detect sources of food with ease, including other people. Her increased perception in this state prevents her from being ambushed (short of someone teleporting behind her) and gives her an edge in sensing incoming attacks.
    • Satiated - Vyra restores energy by eating. If she is already rested / healed, her strength increases in proportion to the amount eaten.

Background: Vyra's story begins on the face of a great cliff, upon which Grayward castle resides. While looking after one of the younger sons, one of the maids followed his accidental tumble down a rocky slope -- his imaginary game of knights versus dragons had gotten a little heated, and she was able to rescue him with only a few scrapes and bruises along the way. But in their descent, she spotted something peculiar. A massive egg, bigger than any she'd seen, was nested tightly away in a crevice. Of course, she lifted the egg out of its shelter and carried it back to the estate, curious if she had just discovered the night's dinner... or something else.

Time passed. The child -- named Vyra by the boy who had helped find her -- quickly began to display signs of draconic origin. Though the time of dragons had past, their bloodline long remembered, and long retold, the destruction those very dragons had wrought upon their territory, and to their ancestors. As a house that prided itself in its dragonslayer heritage, the father ordered the young dragon girl slain and discarded. The mother on the other hand, fought to keep her within the household. What seemed at first like a simple disagreement proved to become the greatest feud their family had ever faced. Split almost evenly down the middle, they eventually came to compromise after over two years of in-fighting -- both verbal and physical.

And perhaps it was a shallow victory. Vyra would be allowed to stay as a permanent resident, but she would be treated as far less than a servant of Grayward; a slave, or a pet, even. Her greedy, ill-tempered nature and violent habits only further condemned her to a life of imprisonment. Often, she would sneak into the surrounding farms and slaughter the livestock, feasting on multiple carcasses each night she was able to escape. She began to grow a reputation of sorts, as that of some kind of rabid beast.

But she was by no means unintelligent. In fact, she learned far more quickly than the other children, absorbing information readily, but utilizing none of it. As a sparring partner, she easily overpowered the others without any kind of formal training, as though so possessed by her desire to feed and hunt that it exceeded the limitations of a mortal body. And of course, she regularly butted heads with the naysayers to her presence, slinging insults at one another as way of greeting.

At length, when she became older, even Vyra began to grow increasingly restless and resentful of her chains. Before, simply feeding her was enough to keep her content, but now she wanted more than that -- she wanted to be free and explore the world as she pleased. Her mother recognized her various talents, and petitioned for her liberation such that they could make use of her abilities. The agreement was surprisingly swift. Despite their reservations about her behavior, one thing was true: Vyra provided results, and results were important to upholding the family name.

So, she was employed as part of Grayward's knight service. Too undisciplined to be a real knight, she was treated as something more akin to a mercenary, should the terms be agreed upon. Vyra was in no position to accept contracts on her own, so her duties were provided to her solely by the heads of the family. And as chance would have it, their next contract seemed to be very intertwined with her draconic birth -- a fated confrontation with the Visitors.

GummyWorm GummyWorm Because you are competing for the last female slot, since I only plan to allow three, I want to wait for the other people listed up in "Interest" to have a chance to submit CSes. Since we are halfway to having a complete cast, I am allowing those not crossed out in the interest check to submit a CS and anyone else who joins with a CS. Once the last person in the interested players list has submitted their CS, then I will close recruitment. That is of course, depending if I accept any of their concepts. If someone in that list never does submit a CS and it looks like they are no longer active and interested in this game, then I will close then.

honestly if anyone else wants to take the fem dragon spot im cool with them taking priority over mine if they really want it
i wouldnt mind playing a non-dragon character either

  • 5137537e53688831aa3ded006255952a.jpg
    Character Name: Blayenok
    Nickname(s): Blake
    Alias:
    Blair Pendragon
    Age: 24
    Race: Dragonkin
    Height: 5'9"
    Weight: 152.8 Ibs
    Hair Color: White
    Eye Color: Sky Blue
    Complexion: Porcelain

    Dragon Type: Sky
General Description: Blake isn't very outstanding in his appearance. His white hair hangs down to his neck and frequently gets in his eyes. This is intentional since it hides his reptilian slitted pupils. A series of small white ridges on his spine pokes out of his skin from his neck to his lower back. These ridges aren't particularly sharp but are still effective in combat. The front of Blake's neck and his chest is covered in thick scales that are a few shades lighter than his skin, and his upper arm and forearms have some thinner scales that take on a tint of blue as they go down his arms. His tongue is forked, and while it isn't as wide as a human tongue, it isn't narrow by any means and is slightly longer. His tongue is very much like a snake's tongue.

He always tries to hide his draconic characteristics, so Blake has a black capelet that covers his mouth, his neck, and his right shoulder. Besides that, he has a grey coat that covers his arms enough that it isn't too noticeable. Loose clothing and a gray cloak are used to hide the ridges on his back. He prefers white or light blue clothing in general, along with a pair of steel-tipped boots.

Dragon Arm: Tropos - Tropos is a double-sided spear. The shaft of the spear is 3 feet tall, with each blade being 1.5 feet tall. The blades are white, with small bronze crossguards on each side. The handle has the small welded pattern of a dragon curling around it. The center of the handle has a single jewel, and the blades themselves also have jewels. When activated, the gems glow white, and the spear can create gusts of wind behind it. If Blake stabs the activated spear towards an enemy, then he can choose to create a harsh blast of wind that hits his opponent. The wind isn't strong enough to throw someone away but is enough to knock someone off balance and disrupt their actions.
    39c01206ba3b551ede101ef2d40c3330.jpg
    Talents
    • Tracking - Blake is able to track a person or group of people quite easily, finding footsteps, campfire sites, and other clues to find his bounties.
    • Hearing - He has long since mastered the art of listening to something without seeming like he is listening. He can also differentiate different sounds quite easily.
    • Coordination - While he isn't necessarily good at running, Blake's hands are very fast and precise, doing exactly what he wants them to do and when.
    • Language - He knows some basic words from every language and can talk very simply in most, even if he isn't fluent by any means.

Fighting Style: Blake uses swift and precise marks when fighting. He prefers his spear because it gives him better reach, but he is capable of fighting with just his fists and feet. When fighting, he gives quick hand strikes, fast but brutal kicks, and, when he can, slamming his back into his opponent, which can bruise them a lot. Blake's scales give him some amount of armor, so he blocks fists or small knives with his arms, keeping his chest scales as a sort of armor. He uses his mind when fighting, finding weaknesses in his opponents to defeat them quickly.

    Dragon Arts:
    • Altitude Boosts - When he is higher in the atmosphere, Blake gets stronger, faster, and more nimble.
    • Sonic Blast - He can release blasts of wind from his hands, feet, or mouth, launching anything too close to it backward. This can be held for about a minute before he has to recover. The winds are very fast and loud, possibly causing temporary hearing loss to anyone close by. These blasts can also propel his hands or feet back from the force of the winds.
    • Tornado Tower - With this, he can create a very narrow tornado that can pick up anything smaller than a shield and propel them to incredible speeds. If a person gets close, they may get lifted off their feet and will get battered by dust, sand, small rocks, and pebbles, etc. Blake can have three of these at a time in motion and can control the movement for each tornado, although they can't move very fast.
    • Tempest - Blake can summon a miniature tempest that is about eight feet in diameter and hangs 5 feet above his head. The miniature tempest doesn't affect him in any way, but opponents who want to fight him will have to deal with battering winds, furious rain, and some occasional low voltage electric bolts.

Background: Blake's egg was found in an eagle's nest on the cliff overlooking the town of Blayen, by four travelers who had been looking for something to eat. These travelers were wealthy but still loved to explore the world, and decided to keep the pure white egg as a souvenir. They were surprised when the egg hatched a week later, revealing a baby boy with snow-white hair and some reptilian characteristics.

This traveling group consisted of two couples, one of which had a baby girl, and the other without any children. The woman had made herself infertile before she had fallen in love, and the couple decided to take the boy as their own, keeping the shell of the egg as one of their prized possessions. Blayenok was named after the town where he had been found, and as he grew up the name was shortened into Blake.

Blake learned to hide his draconic characteristics from others, and he became friends with Teresa, the other child in the group. When he became a teenager, they would spar, her with a wooden sword and him with a staff. They talked a lot about Visitors, who would sometimes be in the towns that they passed through. Whenever that happened they would hide in the inn and look at the Visitor from afar, like their parents wished them to do. They were both learning magic, and they were at the same level, despite her being two years his senior.

He was twelve when he first actually encountered a Visitor, and Teresa was fourteen. She had just started her periods, and the group passed through a town, picking up supplies at the local market. The Visitor had entered the market, and within a few seconds, it had singled out Teresa as a Breeder.

After she was gone, Blake had made it his life goal to fight against the Visitors, but he'd have to be careful. The aliens were supernatural; he'd have to wait until he was stronger. So he did become stronger, training with a double-sided spear after some consideration and sparing against others, learning to use his mobility against his opponents. Blake also trained in his magic, surpassing his companions with ease. He was seventeen when he finally left the group that he had been with for years, venturing on his own into the world. Quickly he learned how to get into inns without raising questions of his draconic characteristics: simply hide them. After he had perfected the art of hiding, he changed his name to Blair Pendragon so he could travel incognito.

Blake became very good at fighting and worked mostly as a bounty hunter, finding bandits or raiders and killing or capturing many. He became known in his local area for his efficiency and talent at finding his target, and he works alone. While others may want to team up, Blake is adamant about keeping his magical prowess and his draconic traits hidden, so he always declines these invitations.

I will also withdraw my interest. It sounds like an epic story, but I probably have too many 1x1's going.

Two grand deer antlers sprout out from the top of Arthur's head often decorated with flowers, vines, or occasionally bells. He seems to have vines growing from out of his skin, they can be seen growing up from his neck up to his cheeks. He wears a long white robe that goes down to his feet and no shoes. He often keeps his soft, green hair in a messy braid that ends a little bit past his shoulder. Various flowers can be seen dotting his hair. Arthur has never had any tough scales instead his dragon form is more of a feathered beast, although he does have razor-sharp teeth and a jaw strength that can crush human bone, he prefers plants to meat.

Dragon Arm: Cernunnos - When inactive this weapon looks like a thick, long wooden branch, however when actives it transforms into an iron scythe, the blade is an ivory white while the rest is jet black.

    Talents
    • Talent Name - Description. Your character four talents.
    • gardening - He enjoys growing different herbs, vegetables, and fruits.

    • Medicine Making - He can create medicines for various illnesses as well as power poisons
    • Animal Speak - He can speak with any animal

Fighting Style: Quick and precise. Arthur doesn't particularly enjoy the art of fighting choosing instead to end the battle quickly as possible. He uses the blade of his scythe to immobilize his opponent as swiftly as possible. The goal isn't necessarily to kill his enemy rather to render them unconscious. He isn't above using dirty tricks, often his opponent will be met with a face full of dirt and a hard kick to the groin. Rarely will he ever kill someone however if his forest is damaged he will become more brutal with his blows and far more unforgiving.

    Dragon Arts:
    • Plant manipulation - Plants will bend and break to his will
    • Plant eater - If he consumes the seeds of any plant he gains that plants abilities for a short amount of time, for instance if he eats a seed from a poisonous plate he is able to produce poison.
    • Vines - he can turn his arms into to thick vines that can stretch out about 100 yards.
    • Petal Blizzard - creates a tornado of flower petals or leaves to confuse his opponent

Background: Arthur egg was found in the trunk of a grand oak tree in the center of an expansive forest, a small human child found it while exploring the forest. Upon returning to his village, he showed the egg, which looked more like a large stone covered in moss, to his parents who immediately recognized it as a dragon egg and decided to keep it and raise it when it hatched. Everything went according to plan, for a short while, the egg cracked, broke apart and a small, antlered boy emerged. For the first two years of his life he stayed with the family, he was happy, they gave him a name, the clothes on his back, and his first family. Tragedy struck when the family began to struggle financially, they were poor farmers and none of there crops seemed to grow. Arthur was more than happy to help them, unfortunately, the humans who he so trusted and thought of as family betrayed him. Blinded by greed, they sold him off to a rich nobleman from another town, who then in turn put him up for auction to the highest bidder. This, however, didn't go according to plan, because the moment Arthur was revealed to the people of the auction house, he grew enraged and killed them. Vines ripped the floor of that room and crushed every one of the people in that building. It was on that day that he vowed never to trust another human again. He retreated into the forest only coming out occasionally to collect tributes from the humans of the nearby towns, gold, jewels, ribbons, and many other precious items were given to him, not out of love of course, but out of fear. If a human refused to give him anything, the next day they would be found with vines growing out of there mouths. Eventually, he grew tired of coming out of the forest and instead instructed the villages to leave there offerings at the edge of the forest. No one dared to step inside the forest, if they did they would quickly become a part of it. Arthur quickly became obsessed with beauty filling his forest with flowers of different shades and hues and weeding out all of the plants which he found unpleasant. This became more apparent, the further into the forest he was, as the outskirts of the forest looked like hid had grown naturally, while the deepest parts of the forest looked far closer to a well-maintained garden. He took the animals as his subjects and allowed them to live in his domain as long as they followed his instructions. He still lives in the center of the wood in a small cottage which he made out of the very oak tree he was discovered in.
