Character Sheet Rules
  • Please create at least two characters. You don't need to do any more than that (I only made four because I don't have a life and have too much free time, I may not even use all of them), I won't be judging off of quantity but rather quality! Also, remember that I'm looking for a diverse cast. c:

  • The three time periods are: Medieval, Steampunk and Modern. You don't have to specify any more than that, you can just put the words in your CS.

  • For appearance, please provide an image as well as a description of your character's height, weight and any distinguishing marks. For images, please don't use any photographs but anything else is fair game.

  • Please have an equal amount of strengths and weaknesses for each character.

  • Your starting inventory can include anything you want, within reason. ^^

  • Be as creative as you can with your backgrounds! The worlds that the characters came from won't be fleshed out very much so feel free to do with it as you wish~ Just make sure you include the reason your character was on a ship when the tempest hit.

  • Coding is fine, but please don't have any scroll boxes in your CS. Scrolling within posts is my pet peeve. XD

Iven Stragos
8ed640d731c5ea8348b461928a98dfb4.jpg
Name: Iven Stragos

Age: 32

Gender: Male

Time Period: Steampunk

Appearance: Standing at 6"3 and weighing 195lbs, Iven is a large man. His presence is imposing and his curly mustache seems to stay in place no matter what trauma is induced upon it. His beard tends to be scruffy, and his hair is long but always twisted into a tight braid of sorts. Generally, he is dressed in dirty white tanks, a large belt and black overalls. He has a tattoo of a shellfish on his left arm.

Skills:

Construction - Having been a mechanic and repairman all his life, Iven doesn't only have a good grip on how to repair things but is also able to build his own creations. He is very innovative with materials and is able to quite literally 'make something out of nothing' as long as he's armed with his trusty tools. He is used to having a bunch of underlings to help him work, so works considerably slower if he's by himself, but is able to make sturdy constructs nonetheless.

First Aid - There are a surprising amount of injuries on a construction site and Iven has learned how to care for a lot of injuries ranging from concussions to amputated body parts. However, he isn't a medic so isn't good with following up on injuries but the initial treatment is safe in his hands. He is used to working with sub-par medical supplies and is good at stitching due to his nimble hands.

Brute Strength - Used to lifting heavy objects and wrenching materials into obedience, Iven has a ton of pure brute strength. He is good at throwing things and is capable of making some heavy hits with improvised weapons. He has never trained in formal combat but is good at simply whacking something until it bends to his will. His attacks seldom have any strategy to them and are very predictable.

Loud - Iven has a loud voice. It can be heard for miles. Useful for both calling people over and for startling enemies.

Weaknesses:

Speed - In all senses of the word, Iven is a bit slow. His thought processes take a long time to complete and he often struggles to keep up with more nimble-minded people, his reflexes are a little slow, his reactions tend to be a little bit delayed, and he's a pretty slow runner. Regardless, he tends to just plow through situations even if he doesn't entirely comprehend them or if he's being outmatched by speed.

Survival Instinct - Iven has seldom ventured out into the wilderness nor has he ever had to defend himself. His survival instincts are very low and he doesn't realize something may effect him until much later. For instance, he will be the first to eat a strange plant in the forest if he's hungry and not realize that it may be poisonous until after the fact. He's kind of like a kid in that regard and someone constantly has to keep an eye on him unless he accidentally dies.

Stubborn - Despite the fact that he acknowledges that he's not the brightest in the bunch, once Iven comes to a decision it is near impossible to deter him from that line of action. The same applies to humans, once he forms an opinion on a certain person they shall be viewed the same way in his mind forever so first impressions are incredibly important to him. His stubbornness makes it difficult for him to weigh different points of view and can make it hard to work with him.

Egotistical - When he's building something and in his element, Iven becomes very boastful and egotistical. If somebody tries to suggest anything to him or correct him in any way he will lash out and strive to prove them wrong. However, if it's not related to building, he loses this property almost entirely and will happily take criticism and suggestions.

Starting Inventory: Box of tools (including: a wrench, a small hammer, a screwdriver, an utility knife, a tape-measure and a flashlight), goggles, a pouch with four cigarettes and a lighter in it.

Background: Iven was often told by his parents that he was a mechanic ever since he came out of the womb. Always building and assembling different things, no matter what material seemed to be at hand, he was lucky in the fact that his uncle worked as a ship mechanic so that he was able to channel his interests into something productive. Iven's apprenticeship started at age seven, and he's been building and assembling things professionally ever since. His interest in the art never faltered and while he hardcore failed any school assignment he always excelled in the workshop.

While many people would consider Iven a prodigy mechanic, in reality his skills just came from constantly working and his years of experience. By the time he was fifteen he was already his uncle's second hand man - to begin with, all of the workers doubted him and thought that his uncle was simply doing favors for his nephew, but soon they all realized that Iven's dedication and skill would help the workshop improve as a whole. A few years after Iven was appointed second-in-command, the shop started to expand their repertoire to automobiles and after that, into construction.

Due to all this Iven became a skilled, well-rounded mechanic versed in many different types of construction but his passion always laid with ships. When his uncle died, he had intended to leave Iven in charge of the shop, but Iven had no intention of having to put his work aside to lead others. He was a good leader in the fact that he could assign jobs and lead during projects, but anything related to economics or business politics totally evaded him. Slipping away from the responsibility, Iven signed on as a ship's mechanic and left his uncle's shop to one of the other employees. Iven was working his second assignment with the shipping company when the storm hit.

Other: Iven's goggles include built-in magnifying glasses allowing him to study small things in detail, and his lighter is approximately half-full with lighter fluid.

Johanna Kilter
5068a93972385513893955f71a3a00e3.jpg

Name: Johanna "Joha" Kilter

Age: 25

Gender: Female

Time Period: Medieval

Appearance: Standing at 5"7 and weighing 135lbs, Joha has short uneven blonde hair that she cuts herself with a sword blade. She has two piercings in each ear and a noticeable scar above her left eye, though her body is littered with scars that are just normally concealed by her clothing. Generally her clothes are scrappy and consist mainly of just whatever she managed to scavenge from around the boat paired with random pieces of armor to give herself some protection. Her arms are incredibly muscular, as are her legs.

Skills:

Close-Range Combat - As a pirate, Joha spent her time fighting and sailing. She was bad at sailing, but she was good at fighting using her trusty longsword and dagger. She has plenty of combat experience and is capable at fighting in any environment. Her sense of balance is phenomenal from all the time she's spent on-board a ship and it's hard to take her by surprise: she's always ready for anything to happen, for pirates don't play nice. Joha is also fairly good at defense so as long as she's got her weapons at her side she's a force to be reckoned with.

Banjo-Playing - A skill she picked up from one of the members of her crew, Joha carries around her banjo as one of her most prized possessions. When she's not fighting, she's most likely playing random songs on her banjo. She cannot read music for her life but has a good ear for music and is able to compose her own short pieces which she memorizes in order to play them again.

Adaptation - No matter the situation, Joha can make herself feel at home. Not much surprises her, even fewer things scare her and she always faces new situations undauntedly. This attribute also helps her become more effective in any environment because after she adapts to it she is able to use it to her benefit more easily and with more success.

Creative - A master of sudden improvisation, Joha can take any random object and make it do her bidding. Due to this even if she doesn't have her normal weapons she is far from defenseless because she can make the terrain into her weapon. However her creativity doesn't only apply to combat for she uses it to just make ends meet in general, not to mention that she is a gifted musician and is able to use her creativity that way as well.

Weaknesses:

Absent-Minded - While she's in combat Joha is incredibly well focused, but that's about the only time she actually concentrates. On a regular basis she is constantly zoning out and is rather scatter-brained. She will constantly forget what she's doing or what people are talking about and is prone to daydreaming a lot. This can make it very frustrating to deal with her because especially if you're trying to give her instructions she will just entirely zone you out.

Temper - Joha has an incredibly short fuse. Even random comments will spark her temper and she will fly into a rage on somebody, but luckily for the people around her, her tantrums seldom last very long. She doesn't hold grudges but when she's in a bad mood people know to tread on eggshells around her in fear of angering her.

Wisdom - Joha is far from book-smart. Elaborate strategies completely elude her and oftentimes sarcastic remarks fly completely over her head because she seldom understands any humor outside of crude remarks and swearing.

Reckless - Always the first to act without thinking and charge into dangerous situations without a care in the world, Joha seems to take her own life for granted. Anybody who happens to be around her will be dragged into her reckless behavior and she can drag whole groups into danger at once. However, luckily for her, things usually work out in the end. Usually.

Starting Inventory: A sword, a banjo, a water canteen, her coin purse, a small dagger.

Background: Joha's father was a renowned pirate captain. A feared and respected man, his crew still dared to mutter protests when he brought his wife on board the ship. "Women will bring us bad luck," they protested, but the first man thrown overboard solved that problem quite nicely. When Joha's father said something was fine, it was fine, and so her mother came to live upon the ship named New Hades. Her father's real name was largely unknown, but on the ship he simply went by Hades. A few months after Joha's mother, a woman named Celia, came to live on board she became pregnant.

Nine months later Joha was born. The men muttered protests about now having two women on board, but when Hades said something was fine, it was fine. So Joha's childhood became a world of smelly, swearing men and pointy objects. Soon enough the men's fears of old wives tales faded and they took a liking to the little girl, often using their breaks to teach her how to climb the mast or the basics of sword fighting. Her favorite of the crew, the quartermaster Jerry taught her how to play the banjo which she has retained ever since. Joha also had an older brother who had been working on the ship even before their mother came on board, and the two siblings quickly became the crew's favorites.

By the time Joha was twelve she was already fighting in battles as the pirates raided other ships and pillaged coastal towns. She proved to be fearless and a competent warrior, fitting in perfectly with the crew. When she was twenty her father died and her older brother succeeded him to be the new captain of the New Hades, becoming the new Hades himself. Serving loyally under her brother for another five years, the New Hades ran into a spot of trouble after attempting to raid a town that was close by one of the country's military basis. Chased out by military ships, the New Hades was pursued for five days when suddenly a massive tempest hit. On the bright side, the military ships were forced to turn back, but on the down side New Hades sank and Joha ended up on Dragon Island.

Oliver Lee
luke_newberry_by_ribkadory-d9w27qc.jpg

Name: Oliver Lee

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Time Period: Modern

Appearance: Oliver is 5"10 and weighs around 135lbs. He's skinny and small, often described as a mouse in his youth. He has medium-length red-brown hair and fairly thick eyebrows. He is clean shaven and always likes to look clean and presentable. He generally dresses in light colored shirts paired with a darker colored coat or jacket and everything he owns is always clean and well-ironed. However, on the cruise he was wearing sports shoes, a simple white shirt and a pair of jeans.

Skills:

Survival Nut - Despite the fact that he has never done more than go camping, Oliver is an obsessive watcher of survival TV shows. Due to this, his survival instincts are actually very strong and his knowledge-base of fauna and animal life is pretty extensive. He knows all of the basic tricks for surviving on hostile territory and conceptually he knows how to track, hunt and trap, though he has never done it in practice. Additionally, he knows the mechanics about how to engage in combat... he's just never held a weapon before.

Speed - Oliver has quick reflexes and is a fast runner. He's also pretty good at making informed decisions in a hurry, though is lack of experience means that his information might not always be reliable. While running he's very good at regulating his breathing and seldom gets out of breath.

Observant - Oliver has perfect vision and he puts it to use. He likes to constantly scan his surroundings and doesn't miss very much, even small details rarely escape his eye. With his quick thinking and observational skills combined it makes him very effective at sizing up a situation and making plans. His observational skills also apply to humans and he's very adept at reading emotions and therefore is a very considerate and easy person to get along with.

Calm - No matter what the situation may be, Oliver very seldom gets flustered. Even when he's been taken off-guard, he never seems to get overly startled or surprised. He performs well under pressure and is therefore very reliable as he is always able to assess any situation calmly.

Weaknesses:

Low Stamina - While Oliver is good at running, he very seldom actually works out and therefore has very low stamina. Despite the fact that he seldom runs out of breath, his body very quickly runs out of energy and his muscles are pretty under-developed leading to quick exhaustion. When he's running for his life he manages to summon energy from adrenaline, but that will only get him so far.

No Combat Experience - Having lived as a city boy in the twentieth century, Oliver has never seen a weapon in use nevertheless used one. He has never intentionally killed or injured another person and has never even attempted to fight. Therefore, even though he has played fighting games and watched survival shows that have taught him the basics of combat, his skills are still very rudimentary because he has never tried to before.

Weak - Oliver is physically weak, again due to the fact that he seldom works out or goes to the gym. The heaviest thing he lifts on a day-to-day basis is probably a milk carton, and therefore he struggles to lift anything heavier than that.

Optimist - Generally, optimism is a strength, but with Oliver it is a weakness because he tends to only see the bright side in situations and people. Even in dark times he always sees the good side, but this is a disadvantage because he is very much stuck in a bubble where he doesn't really believe that he, or any of those he knows, can come to harm. Conceptually, he realizes there may be dangers, but in his heart he doesn't really believe it so he tends to take things pretty lightly which also effects his decision-making skills.

Starting Inventory: A wallet with keys and some money, his phone, a bag with a spare change of clothes.

Background: Growing up in San Francisco California in a wealthy suburb, Oliver had a good education and a quiet childhood. He had an older sister named Marie who was always there to help him when he had trouble, and Oliver never encountered anything more dangerous than a scraped knee. At school he was pretty smart and liked to read, but he wasn't a genius. It was when he was around ten that he developed his love for survival shows. He used to watch them at night with his father after his dad got home from work and it was soon the highlight of his days. His father, amused at his son, took Oliver camping a few times but he was so preoccupied with his work that they didn't manage to make any trips longer than one or two days.

In high school, Oliver joined the track team for sprinting and did some running but he never developed a passion for the sport. Nevertheless he continued to do track for four years and in his junior and senior years he managed to qualify and place in state championships. After high school, he didn't manage to get any scholarships for track but got into a good university where he majored in Biological Studies where he expanded his knowledge of plants and how the environment around him worked. He had just graduated college when his mother was celebrating her fiftieth birthday so he scraped together what money he could to buy them both tickets on a ten day cruise to Alaska.

They were on their fifth day of the cruise when the tempest hit and Oliver ended up on Dragon Island.

Other: Oliver's cellphone is at 83% battery and does not receive service on the island. However, he has two wildlife and fauna encyclopedias downloaded on it which does not require cell service to access.

Anna Olivea
46b7dcda26bea622f75961ba133da2bf.jpg

Name: Anna Olivea

Age: 27

Gender: Female

Time Period: Steampunk

Appearance: Anna is 5"11 and weighs 140lbs. She has a large scar that runs down her right cheek and looks funny when she smiles, but that isn't often realized because she's so serious-faced all the time. Her brown hair is shoulder length and she usually wears it tied up because otherwise it gets in her way. Anna tends to dress in darker colors because they're more inconspicuous and frequents a tall black boots. She wears gloves to protect her hands from the recoil of her guns.

Skills:

Long-Range Combat - A trained bodyguard, Anna knows how to use her pistols with pin-point accuracy. Even though the weapons are designed more for distances of 200-400 meters, she can still make accurate shots at distances up to 800 meters. She is good at shooting in all weather as long as there is decent visibility.

Close-Range Combat - Anna's training also covered the use of a sword. She isn't as prodigal with sword-fighting as she is with shooting, but she is still incredibly adept at it. Since her sword is concealed in a walking stick, she is also good at hitting people with the walking stick to knock them out or buy time to load her pistol in her other hand. If the fighting is intense, Anna is fully capable of shooting with one hand at enemies far away while simultaneously sword-fighting with enemies in closer range.

Quick Reflexes - Able to react within moments after processing information, Anna is both a fast hitter and hard to be hit for she is also able to dodge attacks with ease.

Combat Experience - Years of combat training under her belt, Anna is extremely dependable in fights because she knows how to make the best strategies and movements on the flip of a coin. She is good at reading enemy movements and predicting what their next course of action will be and is always processing new information on the battle field in order to best coordinate her offensive attacks. Her flow between offensive and defensive actions are seamless and indeed sometimes can happen at the same time. Anna is good at fighting both groups of opponents at once and fighting in one on one situations.

Weaknesses:

Rural Terrain - Even with all her years of combat experience, Anna has seldom fought in rural areas. Terrain such as forests are foreign to her and she finds it difficult to perform in such areas because they are difficult to navigate and they obstruct her line of sight. Her jobs have almost always been in developed cities, so she doesn't know how to handle herself in the wilderness either. While she can fight off any potential predators, she will be the first to die of starvation or dehydration because she has no idea how to care for herself in the wild.

Sense of Direction - Anna has zero directional skills. She knows the name of the cardinal directions but has no idea how to use them, and if left alone in strange territory she will almost always get lost. Her job entailed following her boss around, and her boss was always the one who knew where they were going so on her own she just wanders around until she happens to stumble upon where she was going.

Impatient - Anna doesn't like to wait around; once she or a group have decided on a plan of action she doesn't see the point of being idle and not just get it over with already. She dislikes having to wait for people, especially if they are running late, and views it very poorly when somebody is routinely late. She dislikes strategies where she isn't the first one going into a fight because that means she has to wait for something else to happen first and she'd much rather be on the battlefield already by that time.

Social Interaction - Due to her uptight and business-like attitude, Anna is hard to get along with. She seldom makes small talk and doesn't see the point in talking about things that don't strictly concern herself or a mission at hand. She doesn't speak very much, but if she has something to say she will abruptly cut in and talk over somebody else if needed. In general, she comes off as very standoffish and is viewed as unfriendly.

Starting Inventory: Goggles, two small pistols, a walking stick that can be unsheathed to produce a sword, a bag that contains two packs of ammunition and a basic medical kit.

Background: Born to a greatly impoverished family, Anna had a rough start in life. The only way she could fill her stomach at nights was to steal, and often times she had to steal for the rest of her family as well. It was a miracle that she survived infant-hood, given the grimy and un-child-friendly environment that she was raised in. She quickly learned that if she wanted something in life, she needed to go out to get it herself. On her thieving sprees she was caught countless times but since all she ever stole was a few pieces of bread or a fruit after a few lashings she was usually just let back out again.

However, one day after she had been caught stealing bread from the local bakery for the fifth time over the span of a few years the owner got fed up and decided to press charges. Anna was then thrown in jail for a month. She didn't mind it much, as even though the prison cells were disguising she was provided food and water. Besides, it wasn't like the prison could be any dirtier than her home. Her parents, at this point, had all but abandoned her and while they all shared the same house they never spoke aside from her parents making the concessional request for some food. At the point where she was thrown in prison, Anna was sixteen, and for the first time she came into contact with some real criminals.

Of course, they all tried to win her favor in order to do some naughty things when they all got out of jail, but there was one other woman there who stood up for her and chased all the nasties away. The woman, introducing herself as Olivea, turned Anna's life around. Olivea turned out to be a bodyguard for one of the members of the city's mafia and became Anna's mentor in the profession of bodyguarding. At first, Anna was given small jobs but she learned quickly and had fast reflexes so she quickly gained skill. Eventually she was upgraded to major members of the mafia themselves. It was hard and dangerous work, but she excelled in her field. As she climbed up the ladder her weapons also improved.

Olivea died on a mission when Anna was twenty-one, and to remember her mentor and friend Anna made Olivea into her surname. Her family hadn't really had one anyway. Most recently, she was escorting one of the mafia bosses to make a deal with another mafia group a city over for weapons when the tempest hit.

Other: Anna's twin pistols have four different settings: normal, stun, explosion and smoke. While she most often uses the normal function, the explosion bullet has an effective radius of three feet and is similar to a shrapnel explosion - it doesn't really explode, it simply breaks the bullet apart into a bunch of small pieces so that it can hit more things. The smoke setting provides a puff of smoke to act as a smoke screen, but only is effective on one person/being at a time and is largely ineffective in windy situations.

Camila Hernandez
tumblr_mow4brGHfe1qa9abso1_1280.jpg

Name
: Camila Hernandez

Age: 12

Gender: Female

Time Period: Modern

Appearance: Camila is 4'7 and weighs 63 pounds. Her skin is olive, so covered in freckles that it appears almost darker than it is, and her hair is thick and dark brown, choppily cut so that some strands easily reach her mid back while others struggle to even touch her neck. Her fringe can be manipulated so that it covers her eyes, forming an impenetrable strangers and newcomers. She has yet to develop her own clothing style, and even if she had she had hardly the means to attain it. Her clothes are mismatches, all worn and old and baggy so that they will last many years. For this reason, she usually wears them in layers as a means to stay warm.

Skills:
Mature - Camila, while still having some typical childlike naivety, is remarkably mature for her age. She is polite, and quiet, and thoughtful and reserved and comfortable in the company of adults.

Watchful - While Camila is perhaps quieter, and doesn't get as involved in discussions as others do, that isn't to say that she is oblivious. She watches and observes everything, from the environment to a person's body language, and has learnt how to read people and situations well.

Resourceful - Camila is intelligent enough to use her surroundings to her advantage.

Levelheaded - It is rare that Camila freaks out, and usually only occurs when she is in imitate physical danger. Usually, she is able to take deep breaths and use her resourcefulness and intelligence to find a way out.

Stealthy - She's smaller, lighter and more agile than a typical adult. It's a given.

Bilingual - Camila's family's language is Spanish, and she speaks it fluently. English has also been a language often spoken in her household, and so she is somewhat fluent in that as well.

Weaknesses:
Weak - She's young, and she's small, and she hasn't had much time to work on building muscles in her lifetime.

Book Smart - she is not. While she has plenty of intelligence on her side, she has never had the chance to exercise it. As a result, her reading and gramma abilities are severely stunted, and any mathematical escapades are but a dream.

Combat - Not only is she small and almost defenseless in battle against an adult or, indeed, a dragon, she has no experience or knowledge in the field of combat.

Blunt - Camila is a very blunt and deadpan child, with a habit of making dry remarks often at other's expense. Usually she simply doesn't know what she is saying could be hurtful, which makes it dangerous when she is faced by someone with a quick temper.

Naive - Surprising, yes, but inevitable. She's a child, and she will of course have moments where her gut and heart override her head.

Starting Inventory: Her father's Walkman, a single cassette, headphones, multiple hair bands, a torch, 2 changes of batteries for torch, a pillow.

Background: Camila was born to a small family of illegal immigrants, to America from Mexico. An only child, in her early years she was doted on and heralded as the saving grace of a breaking family. Her family lived in a trailer park, in a comparatively comfortable trailer. The source of that trailer was her father's secret, and one of many causes for the violent and explosive arguments her parents would have.

As Camila aged, her novelty wore thin. It soon became apparent that she was not going to hold the family together, at times it seemed almost as if she was going to tear it apart. With most of her parent's fights centered around her and how to raise her, Camila's mid childhood was filled with guilt, curled into a ball under her bed, rocking to the sounds of angry screaming and the thwack of fist on skin.

It was only a matter of time before her parents broke apart, and broke apart they did. Camila's mother left in the middle of the night, with nothing but a light kiss and a whispered apology to her sleeping daughter to show for it. And then it was just a nine year old child and her angry father in a caravan.

He rarely raised a hand to her. She was his daughter, he loved her so so much. But there were times, when he came home late and tired and drunk after a double shift at the factory, and Camila would just do something wrong, and he couldn't help himself. On those instances, the morning after was filled with tears and hugs and promises it would never happen again.

Then one day, he lived up to that promise. Quit the drink, went easier on himself, found an easier job. Married an American woman, became a citizen. His wife was a lovely lady, kind and thoughtful and yeah, she wasn't great with kids but she was trying and that was enough. Camila accompanied them on their honeymoon, a cheap two day cruise along the coast.

And then the tempest struck.

Other: Has a habit of biting her thumb when she's upset, happy, scared or thoughtful.

Regan Venstaham
7306e9d0bad6c555c97fce8913ba32cf--character-concept-character-design.jpg

Name
: Regan Venstaham

Age: 48

Gender: Male

Time Period: Steampunk

Appearance: Regan stands at a proud 6'0 tall. His skin is dark, and his hair - or what's left of it - has long since greyed to a snowy white. His pride and joy is his mostuache, an admirable white caterpillar along his upper lip. His eyes are the same colour as his skin, and free of eyebrows. His clothing style is typical of the steampunk era - though more extravagant than the clothing of the lower classes so that he can sell to the richer crowd - usually consisting of trousers, a dress length under vest and a trench coat or similarly long overcoat. This clothing is usually adorned with hooks, where he hangs his products for display, each one attached by a padlock to prevent excessive pick pocketing and other such thievery.

Skills:
Manipulative - He's very observing people's wants, desires etc and then twisting it so that they do what he wants them to.

Persuasive - Being a merchant, it's a life skill that has been honed through decades of practice.

Enduring - He's had to walk from city to city, through miles of dessert. Needless to say, he's developed a steady pace that can last for hours, with little to no breaks.

Stubborn - Once he's started something, he'll damn well finish it, like it or not.

Strong - Not excessively so, but he's a big man, and all the walking he does has definitely built up some muscle.

Intelligent - Both book smart and street smart.

Weaknesses:
Egotistical - Believes he is a lot better than he is.

Impatient - Very much so. While he can pretend to be as mysterious as he wants, he can't hide the tick in his eye when someone takes too long choosing an item.

Stealthy - Most definitely not. Even if it weren't for the clatter and clang his products make when ever he moves, he's to large and stiff on his feet to sneak around unnoticed.

Challenging - He doesn't take well to leadership, and dislikes being bossed around. This makes him volatile when working in groups.

Selfish - Seldom thinks about what impact his actions may have on other people, himself being his biggest priority.

Cowardly - Both when it comes to facing the consequences of his actions and more tangible danger.

Starting Inventory: Multiple knives/cogs/daggers/ one blade tipped staff, heat sensitive goggles, heat powered lantern, walking cane, multiple shards of mirror/metal/glass, two tea spoons, one cowbell, multiple other useless odds and ends.

Background: Trading has been in Regan's family for generations upon generations, and Regan was trained in the art from a young age. By six he was leaving his stay-at-home dad and dingy hole of a home behind for weeks on end, following his mother on her trips and picking up what she called 'the secrets of the trade'. It took him too long to recognize that pun for what it was.

By 15 he was going off alone. Granted, he was only allowed to have on him the least valuable of his families products, but it was a big step for him and a huge boost for his ego. So much so that, at 16 years of age, he somehow got it into his head that he was above the puny, easy to find silver ware and cogs and should be selling the big shots, the expensive stuff.

And so, like the independence-wanting teenager he was, he snuck into their storage facility and stole some of the most valuable items they had. Then, he went out with the intention of selling them and proving to his family his worth.

It didn't work out. As soon as what he had on him was realized, he was robbed of it and left, beaten and bruised, on the side of the road.

After that, he didn't go home. How could he? He had just very possibly ruined his patent's lives, and he hadn't the courage to face up to that. Instead, he went on the run. He built his own trading business, became one of the most successful ones around. By the time he built up the courage to return home, his parents had long since moved on. To this day he doesn't know where they are. And if he's being honest? He's past caring.

He was on a ferry, riding across a channel to New Inglind when the Tempest hit.

Beatrice Smith

Name
: Beatrice Smith

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Time Period: Modern(ish)

Appearance: Beatrice stands at 5'9 tall. Her hair is a light brown and reaches her mid back. Though she usually kept it curled and styled, there is unfortunately no way to curl it on a remote dragon infested island. Her eyes are a dull blue, her skin is pale and she has a small dimple to the bottom corner of the right side of her mouth. When stranded on the island, she was wearing her uniform - a waist-length olive jacket and matching trousers and skirt, with a khaki blouse - though she typically prefers blouses, particularly in pastel colours.

Skills:
First Aid - Beatrice is trained in first aid, and has plenty of experience to back up that book knowledge. Training extends to the treatment of shock.

Strong Stomach - On a similar note, Beatrice has treated all sorts of things, and seen even more. This has hardened up her stomach considerably.

Resourceful - She has had to improvise when treating someone many, many times. This has built up her ability for thinking on her feet.

Quick - Both mentally and physically.

Follows Orders - She's used to it, being bossed around doesn't bother her anymore unless it's related to medicos treatment. Then it's annoying,

Weaknesses:
Stubborn - While this can be a good trait, in Beatrice's case...it's not. Beatrice is stubborn to the point where she will continue to argue her case, even long after she knows she's lost or even completely wrong, just for her pride.

Empathetic - Or whatever the opposite of empathetic is. She has little patience for people and is unable to imagine herself in their shoes. Just because they haven't seen what she has, and don't have the skills she deems necessary, she will believe them beneath her.

Straight-Forward - Hr mind follows a very methodical process, and she's not good with brain teasers and puzzles, or thinking outside of the box.

Impatient - Sitting still for long periods of time is beyond, and interaction with children or people who are otherwise slow? Recipe for disaster.

Follows Orders - The downside to this is that she's never had to be a leader before, and is inequipt o handle it.

Starting Inventory: Top of the line (for the 1940s) first aid kit, one weeks worth of rations, parachute (deployed).

Background: Beatrice was raised in a perfectly normal environment, for the 1930s. She lived in a small town with her father - a business man - her mother - a housewife - and her three older brothers. When the war swung around, her father abandoned that path and was drafted to fight, proud to serve his country. Her older brothers, too, were enthusiastic to serve. It was inevitable that the pride and comradery would affect Beatrice too, and when the groundbreaking news that Air Evac Nurses were more than a rumor, she was off.

In 1944 she attended the School of Air Evacuation, and she worked with a fiery determination. After graduation, she worked for close to two years before the accident: an out of control plane right above the ocean. And that's when the Tempest struck.
