For years the World Fighting Tournament was the pinnacle in entertainment, the greatest fighters from over the world going one on one to prove who was the strongest. The problem the world faced were constant threats from enemies that seemed to always grow in power when compared the last. These enemies were defeated time and time again by the now long dead Z fighters. A couple of decades ago the tournament was brought back but this time it was bigger than ever. A purpose built stadium was created with a capacity approaching one hundred thousand seats. No event in history sells such a vast quantity of tickets in such a short amount of time after release. The demand to be at the event is so much that people will pay for a seat outside the stadium to watch the action unfold on large television screens.

This years tournament is about to get under way with registration close to finishing. The format of the tournament means that none of the fighters know exactly who their opponent is until they walk out into the battle arena. The standard rules of combat apply from the original tournament with ring outs also still counting.

For those who are simply spectating, there are many things to do and see. There are food stalls of all kinds, merchandise stalls and even a temporary museum that holds some of the former champions and Z fighters clothing.

Things To Do

Those wanting to be part of the tournament can be. Just write your character signing upin your opening post. It is simply filling in a form/waiver to say that you're ready to fight. Once that's done you could have an interview, press conference, warm up, some light training or even just go and explore the grounds.

For those not wanting to be in the tournament there is alot going on, think of it as a standard fair with rides etc. In addition there's live music, VR experiences and just generally a large amount of people. Feel free to do what you like however you will be unable to access the fighter back stage area.

Let the story begin...

Algor hoped that coming to this tournament would help him achieve his goal. So far he had only Earthlings of mostly average strength for their race sure there had been outliers but even they were no match for him. he hadn't given op hope yet though but he was considering the tournament and the fame that would come with it his last option for the planet.

Of course he got some strange looks but for the most part no one had any trouble with signing up. Algor was actually a little relieved since part of him was afraid that with "popular" Frieza was they might ban him from the tournament all together. On the other hand it sucked that he had to wait in line when he could probably beat most competitors easily.

Eventually he reached the desk though and gave the desk-worker his information. "No no, one word, no e." He was somewhat confused by how many Earthlings seemed to think his name was written as Al Gore, but was it nothing big and it was clearly an honest mistake and not some insult that went over his head due to their different cultures.

Jade
Something felt odd about today. He wasn't sure if it was the fighters, with many of them looking nothing close to human, or the fact that he was having an ungodly amount of silence without Mai's constant bickering, but whatever it was it made him uncomfortable. It was like something was missing, or something was going to go wrong. Maybe coming here was a mistake... Deep in thought, Jade was suddenly interrupted by the persistence of the woman in front of him. "Ma'am?" she asked, "I'm going to need more than just a confused face to sign you up." Jade blinked in shock, now pulled back to reality. "Oh, uh... Sorry about that." He muttered. He leaned forward and continued to sign up. The form seemed more like a waiver, any wounds he may take in the tournament can not subject the tournament manager and its benefactors from legal confrontation. Pretty much meaning nothing that happens in the tournament can be blamed on anyone except its participants. So if he were to die in here... Oh well, it wasn't like he had any problems with death before. It just meant he wasn't strong enough to move forward. And he knew for a fact he wasn't ready to die yet. He had to remind himself of why he was here, to get stronger, to train, and find himself a teacher.

After the waiver-er, after the sign-up sheet, Jade made his way into a large room, where he was briefed and given an interview. After the interview, a press conference. but he hated it all. Too many people, too many questions, too much noise. He tried his best to keep cool though, to not lose his shit. He hadn't been around other people for more than a year, so he wasn't used to all of... this. In all honesty, by the end of it, he missed the Hyuuga chick. At least she wasn't so... loud. The interview was full of stupid questions, asking where he came from, who taught him, and the press conference was practically no different. Mostly everyone just wanted to talk about his master and his... untimely death. It made him incredibly uncomfortable. Especially now that he was labeled as his successor. He had a feeling that revealing that truth would bite him in the but later.

A loud crash in a supply closet blew dust and cleaning powder from the sides of the door; it creaked open as a yellow humanoid in a blue suit stepped out. Humorously with a cleaning bucket atop his tall cranium. "Nnggh, what a fall." He groaned, as tournament patrons stepped around him. Confused and alone, he scratched his head at the realization he had no knowledge to speak of. Not his identity, location, or reasoning; a blank slate, with a bucket on his head. "What in all that is glorious is going on here?" he wondered aloud, as a bystander conveniently informed him of the tournament occurring later that day. "A tournament," he pondered. Clenching his fists, the out of place individual smiled, "For some reason, I feel happy about this news."

Waiting in the registry line was a pain he would never want to experience again, looking over potential opponents ahead and behind himself. He found himself feeling disinterested; none stood out to him as worthy. Though, his ego was having a rave; the chance to put these losers in their place was just what he needed today. Finally getting to the front line, he was barraged with questions pertaining to him as a person. Name, familial relations, fighting styles; he had none of these. "No family I can recall off the top of my head," he informed the desk clerk. "Though, I'd have to say if I was in a family, I'd see myself as being the older brother. Yes, 'el hermano'." The desk clerk shrugged his shoulders and wrote down El Hermano as this attendant's name. Handing El Hermano his number, the alien stepped away toward the combatant's back area. Smirking devilishly, El Hermano heavily walked, very anxious and full of adrenaline for the fighting ahead; oblivious to the cleaning bucket he still adorned atop his yellow head.

The queues for registrations for the tournament were vast, Leo was just thankful that he had gotten himself there early enough. Many of the more well known fighters were allowed to pre-register and had their own little area to sign their wavers, but for Leo and many others they had to queue and just hope there were spaces available. The queue was made up a mixture of humans and various alien races, more so over recent years. What that meant was that there were so many styles of martial arts that spectators truly were spoiled. For Leo he was just glad to finally have a chance to have a crack at the tournament. Master Kojiro was reluctant to let him use his talents in such a way but ultimately the prize would help the dojo keep their doors open.

As Leo reached the front of the queue he rushed through his form, putting an initial here and a signature there. The woman in front of him directed him to a door behind her. Through it was a large hall where many fighters had already begun fighting. A large blue sign emblazoned with thick white writing read "Prelims". Beneath it was a sheet of paper with some clear bullet points on it:

• Each entrant to fight when called.
• Fights to last three minutes.
• Victory by KO or ring out.
• If no victor after five minutes then both fighters are eliminated.

The rules were basic but covered pretty much everything that any of the fighters would need to know. The room itself was filled with three scaled down battle arenas, about fifty percent the size of the main battle arena. Each was flanked by several referees and tens of fighters. At the back of the room was a door labelled for victors, the door Leo hoped he would be walking through.

Within five minutes of registering Leo's name was called, instructed to head towards area two. He hurried towards his destination, not wanting to risk disqualification for being late. The way they were going through fights and fighters meant that there was little room to wait for slow people. Upon arrival he saw his opponent, a mountain of a man who had muscles upon muscles. Leo raised an eyebrow as he strained his neck to look at his opponents face. At six foot one Leo wasn't short but this guy was a clear foot taller than he was.

"Leolin! Brock! Are you ready?" Leo turned his head towards one of the refs at the side of the arena, glaring at him. He didn't have a chance to breath before the referees called out, "FIGHT!" Leo turned his head to see the mountainous man throw all his effort behind his boulder sized fist. He watched as it inched closer to his face, the veins of the mans arms bulging to the point of bursting. Leo realised that the speed of the mans punch was far slower than he had ever experienced from his master, something that he didn't understand. As the fist came closer to his face he simply sidestepped the shot and drove his left hand deep into the gut of his opponent. There was a loud gasp from Brock as Leo's fist slammed into his stomach, hard enough that it lifted the tank from his feet. For a moment Leo stood there, the mans full weight balanced on his one hand. Realising that everyone was staring he placed the man carefully onto the floor before turning to the judges.

"Uhhhhhh....uhhhhhh....the winner... The referee shook his head before raising his hand towards Leo, Leolin!.

Leo looked down at his unconscious opponent and patted him on the back. "Unlucky bud..." He didn't say the words to mock the man but simply didn't know what else to say. As he made his way to the victors area he scratched the top of his head confused. Why is it a seventy year old man can give me trouble but that hulking mass of muscle was so easy? The internal monologue continued all the way into the victors area. In reality the answer was simple, ninety percent of the fighters were on a level that was far below the other ten percent. Leo wouldn't have it all his own way and in truth...he didn't want it to be that way.

While Algor's ki sense wasn't the best yet, which was no surprise as he had only recently gotten it, he could tell that there were some some decently powerful people in the so called "Prelims hall" though he couldn't tell how many or who they were. He just hoped that at least one the people he sensed was an actual Earthling cause if it was one of the aliens who had also signed up that would mean he didn't have to come all the way to Earth to train. One thing was for sure the first fighter he saw go down clearly wasn't one of them despite his impressive size and physique though his opponent who took him down in one hit might be. While not completely sure yet Algor decided to keep an eye on this Leonidas at least.

61162229_314459549485622_7677347516620201310_n.jpgMai was sound asleep until her alarm went off. She woke up and reached her hand over and turned off then sat up with a big yawn and stretched out her arms. Mai picked up her phone checking for messages. Today was the World Fighting Tournament and she was going to be live streaming it on youtube. She couldn't wait! The views were going to be huge. This was a pretty big event and there was no way she wasn't going to be a part of it plus she had to be there for work reasons as well. After checking her phone she hopped out of bed and quickly got dressed, well not to quickly, she had to make sure she looked perfect, then headed downstairs for breakfast. When she made it to the dining room her mother and father were already up and eating. "Morning daddy, morning mama." Her mother glanced over at her. "Morning Mai, heading out today?" Mai sat down and smiled. "Yep! Today's the Fighting Tournament!" She helped herself to some waffles and coffee. "Yuuya didn't you want to go to that?" Mai's mother said as she took a sip of coffee. Her father had a book in his hand clearly not paying attention. "Hmm?" He said as he turned a page. Her mother had a slightly annoyed look on her face. "Yuuya!" She yelled. "Huh? What?" Her father said jumping slightly. "What is it?" Her mother's eyebrow twitched. "I said didn't you want to go to that Tournament!" Yuuya sat there for a moment thinking then finally the light bulb went on. "Oh! Yes, I did but I don't know if taking off is the best idea." Mai who had been eating finished the last of her waffles and stood up. "Well do what you want doesn't concern me. I have things to do. Well, I'm off bye-bye!" Mai said as she grabbed her things and took off.

When Mai arrived at the tournament she scanned around the area. She seems to be searching for something. "There they are." She had spotted some men who were holding camera equipment. She had got some guys to help her film the live stream on the tournament on top of it she got them to go it for free. She started making her way over to them but stopped when her eyes caught something. "Is that...." She squinted a bit. "It is!" A huge smile came on her face and she dashed over to a figure she spotted. When she got closer she jumped from behind and hugged them. "Jade! Here to watch the tournament?!"

After Leolin's match there were three more before it was Algor's turn. Disappointingly enough none of the six fighters even came close to the mohawked boy who defeated his opponent in one hit. As soon as his name was called he headed to area three. When he first saw his opponent, a young girl a head shorter than him, he didn't expect too at first. He quickly realized how stupid that was as she wouldn't even try to compete if she had no fighting skill whatsoever, but at the same time he still didn't think she would be much stronger than the average human martial artist.

"Algor, Caitlin! Are you ready?!" Not taking his eyes of his opponent Algor nodded noticing her getting to run straight at him. "Fight!" As soon as the match started the human rushed at him staying low enough that hitting her would be difficult. Unfortunately for Caitlin she didn't have any experience in fighting someone with a prehensile tail. As soon as she was close enough Algor stepped aside both to dodge her punch and to wrap his tail around her. Using just enough force that she couldn't break free despite her struggling he walked to the edge of the ring and set her down on the ground. After a few seconds of silence the referee spoke up. "Winner by ring out... Algor"!

With the preliminary battles underway, Leolin and Algor made quick work of their opponents. For them now it was time to enter the waiting room awaiting the tournaments true beginning. Few battles remained before the main tournament would be underway. El Hermano found himself with a bucket stuck on his head, stared at by those he walked past. He would find himself fighting a small but agile man named Gary. Standing at barely five foot tall Gary wasn't much to look at but he appeared to be exceptionally quick on his feet. As for Jade, he found himself accosted by Mai. Accosted may seem a strong word for a friendly hug but in this day and age of consent...accosted seems fair. His opponent in the preliminary round was 'The Amazon.' A female masked luchadore who was well over six foot tall. With arms as big as her legs she presented a threat to any man or woman.

Elsewhere...

The Bioids had lived a fairly solitary life, spending much of their time digging underground for the fun of it. There origin was lost to the sands of time but they provided no threat to those living above ground. As the tournements prelims were well underway a small team of the Bioids dug their way into a vast, open cavern deep beneath the Earth. The stale air would kill a human in no time, poisoned by the thousands upon thousands of years trapped. For the Bioids it was just another region to explore. Before them rested a large staircase, atop which rested a stone sarcophagus. Chains, bolts and a giant rock rested atop it. Whatever was inside was intended to remain there for eternity. However, the Bioids were childish in nature and soon enough their curiosity got the better of them. They removed the obstacles one by one under only the lid remained. They pushed and shoved at each other until finally the lid cracked on the floor below. WIthin it was a thick haze, hiding whatever what was inside from view. Each of the Bioids leant over the top of the ornate coffin before the haze erupted outwards, filling the entire cavern. The small creatures coughed and sputtered, choking on the fog that was filling their lungs. Then soon enough...the coughing stopped.

Today was the day! Today was the day that Dabria Carmine gets to show off how far along her training has come against other fighters. She wakes up with the alarm blaring loud music, as she pushes the Sleep button. Groggy, she gets up and goes about her morning routine, showering, brushing her hair, etc. Down the hall, Oakris was sleeping through her alarm, being a heavy sleeper. With her battle armor on, she bangs on the door as hard as she could. "GET UP OAKEY, WE GOT THE TOURNAMENT TODAY!" She exclaimed as the white haired girl jumped up out of her bed in a tizzy, and rushed to the bathroom to go get ready. Dabria giggled as she headed downstairs, to the dining area. Breakfast today was bacon, eggs, orange juice, and toast with pancakes. "Eat up sweetheart! You will need your strength for today. Are you excited?" Her mother, Melody, asked as she pinched her cheek. "You bet! I cannot wait to show how strong grandpa's training made me! It's too bad Oakris can't join, she is really strong! stronger than me!" Dabria ate as Oakris came down, dressed in the exact same armor as he sister. "You do know I won't be fighting, right? Why do I gotta wear this to the tournament?" Oakris then gestured to her armor, with Oakris raising an eyebrow. "Becaaaaaause sis, When we go into battle together one day, We also have to look good!" Excitement and annoyance flowed through her voice as Oakris gave her the "Really?" Look, then sighed as she sat at the table, eating the same thing, but in a massive portion.

After breakfast and mom and dad dropping them off, Dabria, Oakris, and their grandpa Kaliban arrived to the Tournament, where they stood in awe. "Alright whippersnappers, you know the drill. Dabria, go on and sign in, Oakey and I will walk around until the tournament begins." He said as Dabria ran off to sign in, the line was getting shorter and shorter as her excitement grew and grew. "I hope she knows what she is getting into... Wouldn't want to see her dreams become shattered when she loses." Oakris muttered as she walked off with Kaliban to the attractions.

Dabria signed the form was was shown the Preliminaries lobby, where she would get a chance to enter the tournament. She waited for about 10 minutes before her name was called, and all eyes were on her as she walked up to the arena with the confidence of a badger. Her opponent, an earthling male named Jackson. Very muscular and of average height, he stood at the ready. "Dabria! Jackson! Are you ready?!"

The fighters stood at the ready. "Fight!" The man charged Dabria, and threw a wild haymaker at her. Being slower than what her grandfather and sister could dish out, this was going to be easy to dodge, so she took the man's arm, and threw a knee into it, then used her Hammer Down technique to slam him into the ground. However, the man got up, and looked at her angrily with a smug look on her face. He charged again, this time going for a grab, she dodged at the last second, and then swept his feet off the ground, and used Wild Rush, throwing 6 fast jabs before throwing 2 haymakers to his abdomen. The countdown began, but he did not get up. "Winner by KO, Dabria!" The rush of excitement rushed through her as a smile formed on her face, and she screamed internally with joy. Her dream was coming true, and she worked hard to get here.

Jade
Jade spent some time walking around the lot, looking at its peoples, it's rides, and most especially, the fighters. He wanted to see exactly what he was faced against. And yet he wasn't impressed. Many of the fighters seemed... average, nowhere near his Masters level. Some of them were a bit exciting sure but for the brunt of it, they just seemed so... bad. That didn't apply to only a few people. Specifically that pale guy with the sharp black hair. He was strong, he could tell, the strongest he'd seen so far. But to be fair he hadn't seen many other fights, but he doubted there'd be anyone very... special. Now he just had to think of a way to meet that man... That's when he felt it, fast and light footsteps that were much too familiar. "Jade!" he heard, and then she jumped into him. He remembered the time when he'd always dodge her hugs, but after every interaction with them started with a tackle, he just began to let it happen. As said, once she ran into him he looked down and patted her head softly. "Hyuga." He said addressing her. "Am I watching? Well yeah, I'm actually on my way to see another fight. After that, I'm going to have my preliminaries." He raised an eyebrow at her, "Don't tell me you're going to join too."

After his "fight" Algor was guided to a waiting room and quickly noticed that unsurprisingly the human who defeated his opponent with a single punch was there as well. While he still wasn't sure how strong Leolin was it was clear to him that he was at least much stronger than the average human martial artist and decided it couldn't hurt to at least be somewhat respectful to him. "Hey I saw your fight, that guy was clearly much weaker than you. Same went for my opponent, I would have felt guilty actually fighting her so I simply dropped her out of the ring." It never occurred to him that Leolin might not agree with his views on those weaker and offense to what he was saying.

8-5-2019_1-47-47_PM-a3uuyill.png

After the fight, Dabria was shown the waiting room. Her victory may have been easy, but it is going to get harder from here as she progresses. She sat down in an empty seat by herself, thinking of who would she fight next as apart of the tournament. She looked around and saw Leolin and Algor conversing, but decided to stay out of the conversation for the time being, since it would be rude to just butt into a conversation, right? She watched as the Arcosian and the fellow earthling talk for a while, since they are the more interesting beings to look at. Maybe she will have the chance to fight them during the tournament.

"What would Oakris do? I… I feel a little intimidated by them…"Dabria said as she became nervous as she studied Algor. "He looks strong for an alien… in fact, he looks like he can kill me just by looking at me." She thought as she looked at Leo. "And he looks as if the One Punch move was just an appetizer… I am a little afraid to see what he has up his sleeve... " She then began to think about how far behind in strength she is compared to everyone else, but that will not deter her from at least attempting the fights.

I'm here present the winner their trophy or...whatever I'm supposed to hand them. Also, I'm live streaming this fight on my channel right now actually. Oh! that reminds me!" Before you could blink Mai had pulled her phone out and started live streaming on it. "Hey, guys! Look whose here at the tournament with me! That's right it's!" She pointed the phone camera at him. "Jade! Aka Pretty Boy! And guess what he'll be fighting so make sure to cheer him on thanks, guys!" She closed the live stream and stuck her phone back in her purse. "There now you'll have tons of people cheering you on! So you said there was a fight you wanted to see?"

Fighting Style: The oldest fighter in this years tournament. That said, he is also the fastest. He can move with great speed that means he is very difficult to hit. The speed he generates means he can hit hard but his age means he cannot take much punishment.

Any with that the tournament was to beging. First up...Romero vs Aria.

MATCH 1: ROMERO VS ARIA

"Welcome one and all to the 49th World Martial Arts Tournament!" The announcer spoke with a vigour and charisma that drove the crowd wild. "Now, we have our first match! To my left, we have the The Fighting Princess, the woman who is technically gifted as anyone else, the one, the only...ARIIIIIIIA!" Cheers from the crowd were respectful but far from the mighty roar of the tournaments introduction. "To my right...the man who needs no introduct...the reigning...defending...World Martial Arts Tournament champion of the wooooorld...ROMEEEEEEEEEEERO!" The applause for Romero was rapturous, shaking the very stadium to its foundations.

The announcer left the arena quickly leaving the two fighters atop the giant concrete platform alone. Aria wasted no time in taking her fighting stance while Romero was more concerned about folding his jacket. Then, out of the blue, the starting bell rang. Aria closed the distance to Romero in moments, throwing a barrage of kicks and punches when in range. They hit Romero with enough force that he dropped his jacket to the floor and began to stumble backwards. The skill and ferocity of Aria's assault didn't give Romero a second to catch a breath. With each incoming punch, a pinpoint accurate kick would follow. Romero continued to back up towards the edge of the arena, much to the excitement of the crowd. Punch after punch, kick after kick, connected to man who towered over his opponent. Soon enough his feet rested upon the arena edge, gasps filling the arena. Then, out of seemingly nowhere, Aria's onslaught was brought to a sudden and abrupt halt.

"Oh look...you nearly won by ring out...isn't that a shame." Romero stood with Aria's wrists firmly locked in his grip, mockingly smiling at her. She attempted to throw some kicks and knees from up close but found her attacks blocked with relative ease by Romero. "Now now...that wasn't very nice was it." Romero bent backwards before driving his head forward like a piston, his head crashing into Aria's with a brutal thud. Aria's legs gave way for a moment before she regained her balance. She feinted a kick to the knee and instead caught Romero in the elbow with a still upkick. The force opened up Romero's grip enough that Aria freed herself. She backflipped into the center of the arena and rubbed at her forehead, a large, lightly bleeding lump forming as a result of Romero's brutal attack.

The young woman took her fighting stance once more and eyed up Romero, who casually walked towards her with a grin. "Hey...where are you going? I thought you wanted to play?" Romero chuckled with each step, throwing his head back as he laughed heartily. Aria saw her opportunity and in a split second send a beam of energy careening towards Romero, the man unaware of the incoming attack. It hit with a great force, kicking dust up into the air, obscuring the view of the onlookers. As the dust settled Aria had returned to her fighting stance but opposite her Romero's calm demeanour had faded for an expression of seriousness. "Ok...if that's how you want it."

Romero lunged forward and began to throw devastatingly powerful blows, the sort that no amount of blocking would help stop. Aria began to duck and weave, option to dodge and deflect the incoming attacks. She looked for an opening but couldn't find one. Romero wasn't just strong, he was talented and it meant that he wasn't leaving himself exposed to the counter. Aria could feel the pressure mounting, each blow getting closer to it's mark before finally Romero landed a punch square in the side of her ribs. The air rushed from her lungs and a spatter of blood erupted as she was lifted from her feet by the impact. Romero drew back his other hand for the finishing blow, throwing it forward with menacing intent. It impacted hard on Aria's abdomen, sending her backwards. She hit the concrete with a loud thud, sliding for several metres before coming to a stop.

Romero turned to the crowd and began to pose, flexing his muscles in his trademark way. Meanwhile Aria struggled to her feet, her right arm favouring her stomach area. With her left hand she began to charge up another ki attack, this time, putting much more effort into it. She let the attack loose with a loud cry of exertion, the charged up attack closing the distance to Romero in moments. Before the attack could hit she heard a voice. "Fool me once...shame on you...Fool me twice...well you know how it goes." Aria let out a loud cry as her attack his the concrete protection wall of the stadium. The crowd looked on as Romero's knee rested deep within the torso of Aria. Blood dribbled to the concrete below from the woman's mouth before she finally fell to the floor.

The bell rang once more, closely followed by the announcers voice. "And your winner....ROOOOOOOMEEEEEEEEEROOOOOOO!" The cheers were nigh on deafening for the victor who picked up his scumpled jacket, wiping away at the dust that had come to rest on it. "Next up we have Algor versus Coi Coi!"

"And on we go to the second match! On my left stands the graceful Blue Beauty...Coi Coi!" The crowd responded with the same amount cheering they did for Aria in the first match. "While on my right is a fighter of unknown strength and skill...Algor!" Thanks to how he ended his next fight it seemed he was a lot less popular though the audience still wasn't silent.

As soon as the announcer had left the arena and the starting bell had rung Algor prepared an Energy Barrier as a test for Coi Coi, even with his ki sense he could tell there wasn't any difference in their power levels. Coi coi meanwhile had had clearly seen his preliminary match and didn't charge in. Instead she fired a simple energy ball which the barrier stopped.

Both fighters realized this way neither one would budge and Algor canceled his Barrier. Seemingly imitating Aria's first move from the last move he charged at Coi Coi and threw a barrage of punches all of which Coi Coi either endured or dodged. However when he went for what was the intended finisher of that combo, a Tail attack used in a similar manner as when he fought Caitlin things went wrong for him.

Coi Coi had seemingly been waiting for him to use his tail as she dodged it more effortlessly than his kicks or punches and used the opening to hit him with a painful ki augmented kick in the chest. While he was winded she created some distance between them. "Sorry, I have fought creatures with tails before."

Honestly Algor would have preferred to just end the match then and there by charging up his Triple Beam but after the Energy Barrier he didn't want to risk revealing anymore of his ki attacks. As he pretended to be of worse then he really was his opponent came rushing at him clearly having reached the same conclusion.

Coi Coi had made herself even smaller than she already was and didn't move in a straight line, in fact her movement was hard to track since she not only ran in a zig zag line but also altered how wide the the turns were. The downside was that it took more time to get close enough for a melee attack. Time Algor used to launch two Energy Balls at her, both of which missed by a good distance.

He switched to a defensive stance just as she got close enough to hit him but it seemed that was something she expected as she flipped over him while delivering an axe kick to his head. Algor did manage to wrap his tail around her leg before she landed which messed up her footing as she landed but she had recovered by the time he turned around. "Very clever."

Neither fighter wanted to give their opponent time to rest so they both started punching and kicking. Coi Coi managed to dodge a lot of Algor's attacks while he only managed to dodge or block a few of hers. But unfortunately for her she was too focused on the prehensile tail. As a reult Algor managed to hit her with an unexpected Energy Punch charged around his right fist which knocked her out. Still it was clear that the fight had taken it's toll on him as well as he was covered in bruises.

"And the winner is....Alllgorrr!" It seemed Coi Coi still was the more popular of the two as the crowd was silent for a few seconds before the cheering started, less loud then when Romero won while Algor exited the arena. "Up next Simmonds vs Jade."

Dabria was waiting for her first match, getting psyched up for the upcoming battle. She didn't know who here opponent was, but she hoped that they would give her a bit more challenge than the last contender. She had trained hard, and by Shenron she was gonna make it count. "I hope Grandpa and Oakey make it to the stands before my fight.... I wanna see the looks on their faces when I win the tournament!" Wishful thinking, yes, but she knew her closest family members will be watching her indeed. Now, she does some stretching and warm ups for her muscles. "Gotta keep limber to stay in the game. Here is to trying my best!"

The excitement was building as the fights progressed, She had just heard the announcer say that Algor had won. "Man, wish I would have seen that fight. But no matter, hopefully my opponent won't be a pushover like my last opponent... Jeez, a big guy taken down by a little girl so easily. I feel bad for his ego!" she quietly said to herself as she finished warming up, and then sat down to wipe the sweat off her brow. She was ready for her next fight.

Jade
Jade's eyebrow twitched, but he didn't act on his anger. At this point, he'd gotten used to her random springs of energy that made her feel a need to record and stream, something which has gained the attention of hundreds of thousands of people, and gave him the nickname "Pretty boy". Although he doesn't care, most of the time. He wondered what his Sensei would think of it though, considering it wasn't very manly of a name. "I was going to watch that one Green guy but forgot it. With you here, I doubt I'll be able to assess any fight well enough for it to matter. The actual tournament is starting soon anyway." He looked over to her and flicked her forehead. "I'm going to the fighters quarters now, I doubt you can go with me though so you'll be in the stands." He reached down and grabbed the white face mask that hung around his neck, and covered his mouth with it. "You should head out honestly. You can record or do whatever you want from the stands, I've got a fight to get into." With that Jade left the young Hyuga girl and made his way to the fighters quarters, waiting for his turn to fight.

Once Jade entered the fighters area, he kept to himself and simply let everyone else walk by him. He wasn't very noticeable, wearing a long-sleeved black shirt and a jacket over that, and black Jeans, the most interesting thing about him was just how much makeup he was wearing. At first glance, he could tell from the men's eyes, that they thought he was a girl. But once their eyes fell on the rest of his masculine appearance, their gaze turned the other direction. It was interesting, to say the least, just how easily they were tricked. And it made him think just how more attention he could have got if Mei was there, she would have probably set up an entire stand dedicated to him. Odd child. Regardless, Jade decided to pay closer attention to the fights, the first fight of which wasn't really that interesting to him. It just showed one pampered guy showing off, brutally still at that. He didn't care about gender roles, but he also didn't like excessive violence. And that was excessive. The next fight, however, was the one that truly caught his eye. It was between that oddly shaped alien creature and a short oddly-shaped alien girl. And it instantly started off with what he could only describe as electrifying. Ki energy, life force, they were manipulating it like it was their plaything. They did it so fluently, the blue guy with the table even made an orb of defense around it. This match, unlike the last, was much more balanced. Honestly, until the end, he wasn't sure who was going to win, but ultimately due to her being much too focused, Algor ended up winning the match. Jade got a lot out of that match, especially about Algor, who he'd have to face if Algor won his own next match. Especially that tail, it was something he'd look out for. And thus, with that... it was officially his turn.

Jade entered the ring as the announcer called his name, but he couldn't hear what he said. The second he got into the ring, his eyes trained onto Simmonds, whose eyes were covered by Black Shades. Simmonds was a large man, much larger than Jade that was for sure. He was practically en entire head above him, even more than that. His body was ripped too, completely jacked from head to toe, each muscle caressing another muscle with dark brown skin. From his very presence, he looked strong. But... He had no substance, no fighting style, no technique. His very stance held hundreds and hundreds of openings, so many to exploit, so many to so easily take advantage of. Was he even a fighter? He didn't even seem excited about the fight. But then again, neither was Jade.

Once the Announcer left the Ring, the crowd grew silent and in anticipation. He knew for a fact, among the crowd, Mei was probably screaming, and was definitely recording. He'd fall upon her videos later to give more insight on the fight he was about to partake in. There were a few seconds of silence between them, he could tell that Simmonds was also eyeing him up. Apparently he'd gotten all he needed because just then Simmonds ran towards Jade at a decent pace. He wasn't very fast, honestly, he was moving at decent speed compared to the average person. But decent speed wasn't enough. Simmonds reached Jade and threw a punch, which Jade easily dodged. He threw two more, a left jab, and an uppercut, all of which Jade dodged with no difficulty. He jumped up with the uppercut and landed on top of Simmonds's head. He pushed himself off of his head and kicked him in the back, using that momentum to push himself forward. From it, Simmonds barely moved. The crowd began to murmur, small and distinct words between each other. Jade could assume what they were saying, words of discouragement on Simmonds part, about how fast this match was going to end. But Jade knew, he knew much too well, just how much of a threat this man was. His strikes, they weren't planned, coherent, or precise. They were random punches with a goal to take him down. Not out of mockery, no, but strength. Pure strength, that's what he had. His body was hard, extremely hard and extremely dense. He needed to take this man out, and quickly.

Jade turned back to Simmonds as Simmonds turned around, one moment he was there, a few feet in front of him, the next he was directly in front of Simmonds, launching an all-out brutal assault on his entire body. It was a barrage of punches, kicks, knees, elbows, you know it, all throughout his entire body. It ended with a quick strike to his chin, and then Jade jumped back once again. He ignored the outwardly cheers from everyone in the stands then, and focused completely on Simmonds reaction. Simmonds stood there for a second, a bit shaken and stumbling, and yet he didn't fall. Jade retaliated back, once again, with another barrage of strikes. Again and again, he jumped in and out of fighting him until he began to pant from the energy he used. And yet, even from all that, he was still standing. Simmonds was panting too, his body throbbing from pain, and yet he still looked as if he could take so much more. He spat at the ground and raised his hands up in a boxing style of combat, street boxing at that. "C'mon, big dog right? Aint you gonna take me down?" He said with a cocky grin. But Jade was feeling more confident now because regardless of just how tough he was, he was still human. And Jade exploited that.

As Simmonds took a step forward, he suddenly felt his knees fall out under him, and he fell to one knew. He tried to speak but found that everything was much, much harder to grasp. Reality itself was slipping away, and balance was a foreign concept to him. Jade took a deep breath, and let out a sigh. It was over. To many outward lookers, it would have made no sense, but those with keen eyesight could see it. Through his constant barrages, there were three areas that he mainly focused on. Simmonds knee, his chin, and his chest. He kept striking those, again and again, waring him out without even knowing it. To the point where moving at all was too much of a challenge. His chest was in pain, he couldn't breathe well, his knees were stunned and made it hard to walk, and his chin had been struck so much that it shook his brain like a smoothie. In the end, he fell face forward, with blood dripping down his nose, completely unconscious. There was silence initially from the crowd but quickly exploded into raging excitement. There were loud cheers among the crowd as the announcer stated that Jade won. Medics came onto the stadium and took Simmonds out, but by then Jade was long gone. He'd re-entered the fighters quarters, grabbing one of the complimentary bottles of water, and gulping it down quickly. That was definitely an interesting battle. Much better than the fight he had among closed doors. This tournament was definitely going to get even more heated, and he couldn't wait for it.

When the next contestants were up Algor decided to watch it since if he won his next fight, despite his many minor injuries he might have to fight one of them. He quickly lost interest though when he barely sensed any ki from either the huge Simmonds or the in his mind oddly effeminate Jade, and immediately lost all interest he had. Certainly the winner would easily lose to his opponent or prove as easy to defeat as that woman he faced in the preliminaries.

Walking away Algor looked for a quiet place to rest as much as possible before the next no doubt more interesting match started. He would never admit but he was worried about facing Romero, not only was he the reigning champion but as far as Algor could tell their power levels were close and if Romero had been watching his fight with Coi Coi the human had a huge advantage in knowing some of his moves.

Speaking of Coi Coi he couldn't help but wonder how their match would have gone if she wasn't trying to keep her ki-attacks secret for later rounds. Maybe he should try and look her up to spar some time, she might not be one of the humans he came to Earth for but would still make for a good rival. That was all for later, for now he wanted to find a quiet spot and try to recover as much as possible. If he had know how Jade's match would go though he would kick himself in the head for missing it, as it showed off some of the weak spots in human anatomy he didn't know.
