Welcome! Let me start out by saying that while the RP is called Dragon Ball, it is far closer in taste and general flavour to Z and Super. The universe is wide open and Earth is now inhabited by a mixture of races beyond that of just human. As the brief paragraph above says, things have been peaceful and all of the character you loved or loved to hate have long since died of old age. Peace has taken over the world but that hasn't stopped people from training and preparing for any potential threats.

This RP will begin as the world is still experiencing its total bliss. Characters will be going about their daily lives, whether it is taking in the beauty of the world or working their nine till five job. Ultimately the peace can't last and those which lie beneath will soon appear to shape the world how they see fit...[/div] [div class="tabsContent tabsRules" style="display: none;"]

GENERAL STUFF​

This RP is going to primarily focus on PvE in the sense that it'll avoid having PvP as a compulsory part of the story. The idea will be that there will be enough enemies for everyone to get involved rather than having everyone trying to swarm on one big bad guy. There will be times that there will be a single "big bad guy" to fight but things will be done to ensure everyone plays a key role in the story. That said, there is no reason two people can't have a sparring session if they so wish. Just be polite, patient and respectful of each others characters.

Ultimately this is a world I want to build with people so feel free to add your input. It's not just about me telling you all what will happen, you need to make your own decisions and help craft the story. I want everyone to get a chance to be the "hero" and so this is just the first saga of what I hope will be many.

While the Z fighters have long since passed, the "deity" type characters still exist as they did in the series. So the Kai's, Beerus, Whis etc. The majority won't feature in any real capacity but I just think it's easier if there is some consistency on that front.

STANDARD RULES​

Standard forum rules apply and just as a general practise, dont be a dick. In terms of disputes, as GM I have last say on those matters and if people go too far, I have no issue in getting mods involved. However, don't feel like you can't speak your mind if you think something isn't working well or if you have ideas.

In terms of fighting, as it is primarily against NPC's you'll pretty much have free reign to do as you wish in combat, particularly against minions. However with "bosses" I expect close fights and in some instances I will tell you that you may lose. In terms of bosses, when it comes to smaller or multiple bosses (like the Ginyu Force, 17/18 etc) i'd rather leave it to you guys to RP those battles once introduced. However when it comes to single big bads (like Frieza, Cell etc) i'll RP their entire interactions with people.

This RP will use power levels which i'll go on to below. However just because your power level is higher than someone elses or even a boss, it doesn't mean that you're going to stomp.

As there is violence this does have an age limit of 18 so feel free to have broken bones, nasty cuts and plenty of gore. In addition if you want to have inter-character romance then feel free, just ensure it's fade to black before things get too blue.

WORLD KNOWLEDGE AND LORE​

Below is information I suggest you read. It provides background to the world as it is now and gives you an idea of what happened after the Universal Tournament.

► The events of this RP take place 200 years after the events of Dragon Ball Super's Universal Tournament. Since that time all of the Z fighters have died and their bloodlines are now scattered across Earth and beyond. People may be aware they are descendents of Vegeta or Goku but the likelihood is that their Saiyan DNA is diluted to the point where they are effectively human only.

► After the tournament there was an initial cross-over of various races from Universe to Universe but this stopped within a decade. However in that decade Saiyan's from Universe 6 moved to Universe 7 to help repopulate the Saiyan race. SInce then the Saiyan's have repopulated a planet in a solar system close to Earth and called it New Sadala. They number in the low hundreds of thousands and are a far cry from the warring race that once inhabited Universe 7. They have a good relationship with Humanity.

► The Namekians remain on their homeworld and have a prosperous existence as a farming culture. They want for nothing but have been building relationships with the Humans and Saiyans.

► Eleven years after the Universal Tournament a war broke out across Universes and there was heavy losses everywhere. It became known as the Universal War and no inch of existence escaped the fighting. The majority of the known universes survived but an agreement was reached that meant there would be no attempts to further move between each universe. At present this agreement has held.

► Dende and King Kai still hold their posts and have some level of interaction with humanity, however Beerus and Whis have not re-appeared since the deaths of Goku and Vegeta.

► The Z Fighters from TIen and Yamcha right up to Goku and Vegeta are remembered fondly for what they did for Earth, particularly for what they did during the Universal War.

► Earth looks much the same as it did all those years ago. Capsule Corp is still as big as it was and space travel is more readily available to everyone. Trade routes exists between Humanity, the Saiyans and the Namekians with people from each race travelling for holidays and even moving to these other planets. The relationships between all three races are great and the only issues or disputes between them occur on a personal level between individuals.

Z FIGHTER OBITUARY​

Below is a list of how the Z fighters passed in this universe.

► Goku | Died during the Universal War against Jiren. The Pride Trooper arrived on Earth to defeat the Z Fighters so that Universe 11 would have free reign to destroy everything. Goku and Vegeta fought against Jiren with what they could muster but Jiren's power was too much and during the fight Goku threw himself in front of an attack destined for Vegeta. The power of the blast sent Kakarot knocking on deaths door and with his final breath Goku died in the arms of his former enemy and by this point, long time friend, Vegeta. After all that he and Goku had been through, Vegeta unleashed a rage so savage and powerful that his power made Beerus sweat. The power boost the rage gave Vegeta was enough to remove every last atom of Jiren from existence with an overpowering FInal Flash. The body of the Saiyan Prince was devoid of power after his rage fuelled onslaught and he carried the body of Goku over twenty miles by foot. Goku's body was buried outside his home and a shrine was set up.

► Vegeta | After the death of Goku, Vegeta disappeared for a month before returning to his family. Nobody asked what Vegeta had done for that month, knowing that even though he wouldn't admit it, Goku's death devastated the Saiyan Prince. As time went on Vegeta trained less and less before he finally settled down to focus entirely on his family. It was as if the death of Goku allowed him to open up himself to the world. Until his dying day Vegeta never fought again, instead, he visited the grave of his friend every day. When time finally caught up with Vegeta he was buried next to Goku. Bulma had a statue created in the likes of the pair and it now resides next to where they lie.

► Piccolo | Piccolo was a casualty of the Universal War, sacrificing his own life so that human kind could survive. While defending a hospital with his former student Gohan from an attack by far weaker opponents, an unknown fighter appeared to challenge the Namekian. The fight dragged out and it appeared as if Piccolo was about to claim victory only for the unknown fighter to target the hospital. Piccolo rushed to block the attack, taking the full force of the blast. With the severe damage inflicted Gohan attempted to step in to protect his master but Piccolo told him to stay back. Piccolo smiled at Gohan and was disintegrated without so much as a whimper. Brave until the end, Piccolo's sacrifice gave Gohan the window to charge up his masters own signature attack. With two fingers to his head Gohan thrust the fingers forward, sending a spiralling beam of energy through the unknown fighter. The advesary fell limp to the floor, leaving Gohan to finish off the dregs that remained.

► Gohan | With the loss of his master and his father, Gohan stepped up for his family. He provided the stability to get them through the hardest time of their lives. As the years went by it did become easier to deal with the pain but never once did he forget. He raised his own children with the discipline of Piccolo and the joy of his father. He and Videl lived until they were both grey and old. They both died of natural causes within hours of each other.

► The Rest

• Krillin | Survived the Universal War and died in #18's arms of old age.
• Trunks | Survived the Universal War and settled with the Saiyan's of New Sadala, marrying a Saiyan woman. Died of old age leaving behind three children.
• Goten | Survived the Universal War and moved to New Sadala with Trunks. He married a Saiyan Woman. Died of old age leaving behind one son.
• Hercule | Died a hero during the Universal War, distracting far superior enemies long enough so that innocents could escape.
• Buu | Survived the Universal War and disappeared soon after realising Hercule has died. He was never seen again.
• Tien | Survived the Universal War at a great cost to himself. Had to watch Yamcha and Chiaotzu die and subsequently disappeared. His dojo never reopened and he was never seen again.
• Yamcha | Died with Hercule in the defense of Earth during the Universal War. He fought until his dying breath.
• Chiaotzu | When the war broke out he was meant to hide but instead followed Tien. He performed valiantly but was overwhelmed by sheer numbers before his death.

CHARACTER PROGRESSION​

Power Level: | An overarching number representative of the stats you have. Higher power levels do not instantly mean more powerful.

Strength: | A characters ability to dish out damage through physical strength.

Ki: | A characters ability to dish out damage through ki based attacks.

Agility: | A characters speed and overall agility when moving. The higher the score, the faster and more agile your character is.

Constitution: | A characters ability to take physical damage before blacking out or dying. The higher the score, the more physical punishment they can take.

Intelligence: | A characters fighting intelligence. The higher the intelligence, the more likely your character is to spot patterns in enemy attacks or to formulate a plan for victory.​

This RP features various stats which you can see on the right hand side. These are here to help let people understand what your character is best at but also to provide some clear scaling in terms of characters potential. Below should help explain the idea behind the stats when it comes to a comparing characters when their power levels are identical.

► Difference of 1 or 2 | There is no real difference between the characters. An arm wrestle would end in a draw.

► Difference of 3 or 4 | The higher stat character has an advantage in this category. In a hundred metres race the higher stat character would win by a few metres.

► Difference of 5+ | The higher stat character has a clear advantage. In both the above scenarios the weaker character is put through the table while the race is won by a clear fifty metres.​

The above hopefully gives a clear idea as to what i'm getting at with stats. Just because someone can fire extemely powerful ki blasts, doesn't mean that they'll annihilate everything in front of them because they'll have to make allowances by having lower stats elsewhere. More than anything it's a tool to get an idea of the talent difference between your characters and the NPC enemies you'll face. However, the above is all based on the characters having the same power level.

In addition to stats power levels (PL) will play a role. Your PL will be the sum total of your stats multiplied by ten (add a zero to the end). Initially PL's won't factor in drastically but given it played a big part in the beginning of DBZ I decided to include them. For the beginning of the RP at least, they won't play much of a part. Once big enemies start to appear and players have been around longer, they'll get boosts. More information will come to this when it's relevant.
