Personality: Dorian spent most of his human life just blending in with the wallpaper. Bullied at school for his stutter, he took to avoiding conversation and conflict and buried himself in his reading. Despite this, he did have several close friends and was well-liked by the people he encountered.
After his embrace, he continued trying to blend in and avoid notice, but he couldn’t get over knowing that he didn’t choose this life. While he tries to follow the Masquerade, he still finds himself wishing he could go back to how things were or at least finding a way to be part of both worlds, however, he becomes stubborn and defensive when these attempts fail and he has to find a way to fix or hide the truth. He is loyal and protective of the people he considers important and will do almost anything to keep them safe.
History: Dorian considered everything about his life as normal. He grew up in a normal, middle class home. He went to a normal school where he was bullied. Books were his escape into something even remotely interesting, though he liked knowing he would never be put into any of those situations. He went to college like everyone else and had to deal with his father and brother always pushing him to do something more with his life. Then he was Embraced.
He doesn’t remember how he was turned or even that it happened. He does remember a friend dragging him to a club one night, claiming they needed a designated driver. When Dorian woke up, he was in an unfamiliar room with a deep urgency for blood. During his frenzied attempt to find food, a member of the LaChance House found him and brought him in. It was only later that Dorian learned his sire was Mordred Dracula, though he still has no memory of how they met or why Mordred turned and abandoned him.
