The Least Expected
"..... shit"
The blond cursed under his breath, rubbing his jawline. It was a real mess, at least it felt like one. He'd waved Val off in his bit of upset demeanor, not able to even look that way at the moment. Part of him wanted to grab Eli and shake her- ask what her dead husband would've thought about this, what any of their dead, ripped apart family or friends would think. His teeth clenched as he sent a armored leather set of knuckles into the wall opposite the apartment, shaking his head.
Deep down, he knew that wasn't going to work, that that wasn't the way. But the blue eyed biker just could not face that thing, regardless if it had a name or feelings. He couldn't trust hi-IT that was for damn sure. With a sigh, he ran a gloved hand through his light locks before turning to go get his thi-
"Whoa, hey Jaime, no worries man, sorry I was just.... standing here" Coughing awkwardly, Cody clicked his tongue, managing a uneasy though warm enough smile to move across his face. He blinked and eyed the young man for a moment, remembering that he wanted to ask him something from before. " Hey, I notice the, uhhhh 'shiner' there" lazily pointing to the other males face, Cody arched a brow casually. " Everything coo coo cachuu with you? Not that ya gotta tell me noth'in, it's just sometimes nice to know everyone is..... doing okay."
Which he hoped was true, since it wasn't always the case. There was always going to be in-fighting, jealousy, laziness- luxurious things from the old world that some how always managed to creep into these places. Funny how regardless of the situation, mankind will find trauma to exhume. Blinking out of his thoughts, Cody placed his light blue lenses upon Jaime's own eyes. A basic human piece of him noticed something was off about the other lad, but it wasn't enough to set off any alarms. There was just more on his own mind at the moment.
noil
There was a lot of....... screaming.
It was coming from an alley way bellow. A Someone was frantically running, desperately trying to carry another Someone who was pretty much done with trying.
And there was lots of No-ones coming out of the wood work to grant that wish. Not to mention stop the screaming.
The hulking outline of a figure, male probably though could easily be some sort of animal or unknown monster, came plummeting down from on high, crashing into a group of eight or so clustered unknown, forgotten fellow monsters. One big sickening sound swept over the alleyway, as a cloud of dust puffed up and out from the point of impact. Now, there was silence from the Someone's, other then soft choking from the dust particles assaulting their eyes and throats. They tried to hide and recover, as what sounded like a pack of wild animals shrieked and snarled and squealed.
Then they too were silenced by one great bellow. Probably enhanced by the narrow walls of the alley, yet still impressive, menacing and all together: horrific. An accompaniment of combat played out, what could be made out in all the awful sounds of broken bones, and battered bodies. Once the dust cleared and the sounds became more....gory, the two human participants of the massacre got up and tried to formulate a means of escape. Thinking was their downfall though, as the thing that had caused such havoc was upon them, casting a great shadow over their makeshift hiding place.
"......H-H-HHhaave........ have...... seen..... Harrrrrr.....Harrrrrrr.....Harrrr--r-r--ry..."
Broken words came from the towering figure, as a incredibly crude drawing fell down before the two survivors. One trembling hand moved out slowly, as if trying not to be seen from this unmoving, unflinching, goliath. Another hand cautiously pointed towards some tall buildings in the distance, as the large figure turned, revealing their blood soaked beard to the light. Then without warning, HakK- who was this figure if it wasn't already clear- sprinted off in that direction, his face twisting into a large joyful, though certainly terrifying, grin.
