Alien222
Funny lil' Internet guy
(I'm unsure if character theory is the correct prefix here)
Like I have an oc called Calvin. Now, for context, Calvin was made for a site that didn't take rp half as seriously as most ppl on this site. Two sentences for a reply was the regular length, seeing a paragraph was rare, everyone's characters were ridiculously edgy, think like three creepypastas mashed into one levels of angst for the backstory but it was really fun. Calvin is no exception to this as for his backstory, at the ripe of age of 14, he not only killed his whole family, he cooked and ate every single one of them (HE HAD TWO SIBLINGS, A MOM, AND SEVERAL COUSINS). He has ZERO regrets. He also beat up a bully at the age of 13 until they died. This is funnily enough something he regrets. His internal monologue, if I ever bothered to write it, would probably just be "That person would taste good in a soup." and "Hehehehehehehehe" . His entire mouth was filled with not one, not two but three rows of rotating triangle teeth. His face was quite literally just a smile face like no nose, no complex eyes, no lips just: : D. And he was obsessed with 'games' where if your oc got roped in, they were not going to get out without at least one major injury (I really was so original as a writer)
Now, you can probably guess why I wouldn't ever submit this character for a rp here but I grew so attached to him that I tried to 'seriousfy' him but every time I did, it just...didn't feel the same, it didn't feel like Calvin. He didn't have that same level of goofy or edgy. It's like trying to write realistic Jeff the killer or Eyeless Jack. Sure, you get all that good good writing but you lose the silliness of it all a bit(I can't very well play Rebyzzx or MCR when thinking about a realistic Jeffery Woods, can I?) So like, does anyone else have this problem? Ocs you're attached to but like because of the way they're written you simply can't use them anymore?
