It's a futuristic fantasy set on Earth in the year 2500.
Aliens invaded ages ago and these days we all sorta get along...
Humans are seen as intelligent animals on their own planet, aliens vary from being cruel towards the natives or wanting one as a pet.
(there is good and bad sorts, most aliens are bad)
While most people on earth are under the control of those beyond the stars...
Some humans have the power to fight back. Born with chakra/chi/energy
(Basically a ninja from Naruto. Controlling the elements and making magic happen via "jutsu")
A Man named Morioh Lee is considered the most dangerous human being in the galaxy. A man who spent the majority of his life mastering magic, fighting back against cruel aliens and unfair laws... Dudes a criminal, but he's also one of the best seeing as he has never been caught in all 87 years of life. Though age is starting to catch up, Lee is hoping to raise other potential wizards into acting like ninja so he can retire off of their success. Teach them magic and take a cut of whatever job he sends them on.
Your character would be a potential wizard ninja in the sense they can do magic but need a teacher who can raise their power and understanding of being a magic sneakypants.
Your character would start off in Lee's dojo after learning your first proper spell... they learn more as the story goes as you will be fighting space age tech and alien abilities.
I'll start this if two or three people make a character but I'm thinking the cut off is five. Post requirements is two paragraphs or more once a week.
