Other do you ever get mistaken for another age?

Yes, 34 looking like 20. I’m always embarrassed when people ask me if I’m a student, and when I say no, they ask how old I am.

“But you look so young!!!”

I look strange in formal office wear, like I’m trying to fit into mom’s clothes.

Once when I got carded while going into a casino, the person looked at my ID and laughed in disbelief.

lol yep. I get mistaken for being about 6 years younger than I actually am. It can be a bit frustrating when it comes to the workplace because I feel like managers don't take me seriously until they find out I'm closer to their age.

A school bus for high schoolers once stopped for me while I was waiting for the bus to work... I didn't even have a backpack..... 🫠

less recently (when I was... 19, maybe?), a few 7th grade boys thought I was the same age as them o|-< they asked me what classes I was taking the upcoming school year kdjfnfnfh

I'm 27 with a baby face, so I often get mistaken for being ten years younger.

Which can either be a blessing or a curse, I'm not sure, but I've gotten a lot of creeps talking to me until they learn my actual age and then ceasing all contact when they realize I'm actually probably ~10 years older than they thought I was. :lennymeh:

Oh and the amount of times someone thought I was using a fake card is ridiculous.

Or the time I got stopped walking outside of a nearby middle school and a staff member thought I was a student and tried to get me in trouble. That was interesting, to say the very least.

Yes a couple days ago I was going home from school wearing my school uniform. ( I'm a first year college student and 21 years of age ) and I went to the mall since it's often used by many people as a shortcut instead of walking on the road. The female security guard asked me if I was in highschool. But there are also times where people thought I'm 16 years of age or 18

All the time. I think that's expected for most asians. I considered it a compliment in my younger years, but not it's just detrimental with work.

Noooo but at the same time I don't think anyone has ever implied that I was a certain age!

HOWEVER I've had two friends that got mistaken as double their age twice. Pretty unfortunate for them :X

Personally, no. I look my age for the most part.

My sister and mother do frequently get told they're older or younger, though, depending on the person or instance. They've even been thought to be siblings once.

LOL - I’m thirty one and still get mistaken for a teen. Honestly I’ll take it! Rather look young and sprung than old and decaying!!

Mhm, I'm 30 but most people assume I'm like, 20-25... though one guy at work said I looked 40 so I charged him full price for his stuff.

I have a young, round face. People often times think I'm 16 to 18, especially in certain cosplays. But, I'm 26. Sometimes, even out of cosplay, people assume I'm 21 at the oldest lol. It's so fascinating to me. It's like I'm aging backwards, at least in my face.

I've recently been mistaken as younger a few times, and it's pretty humorous. I went to my dentist's appointment, and the receptionist asked my if my parent was here. It's really funny because I'm taller than most people?? I guess I just have major lost child energy whenever I'm out in public (ˉ▽ˉ;)...
i do feel like a lost child most of the time so that tracks

I'm 21 and recently a woman at the dentist said "I thought you were a little kid" it was so-- ToT How does one even recover from that??

I'm twenty-five and I once had the UPS guy ask me if my parent was home to sign for a package sent to me.

This was THE MOST horrible experience I ever had with being mistaken in age.....

My mom's 50 and definitely looks older. You can totally tell she's old. We were eating and all the sudden when it was time to check out. The waitress thought we were SISTERS!!!!!

I felt like crying cuz do I really look that old or am I just naturally ugly that you can't tell how old I am??? I forced it back and stayed calm cuz I didn't wanna be rude to my mom but.... I'm now very self conscious about what I'll look like the older I get. And I'm only 20!

This has been happening my whole life! When I was younger I was told I looked older than my age. Then when I got to be around 17 or so it started going in reverse and everyone thought I was way younger than I am. I'm not sure why but I still get carded when I go into a bar/club. Every once in a while they won't believe the ID is legitimate and I'll have to show them my passport card instead. Thankfully no one's ever shredded any of it! 😅 I've even had people think my ex was my parent because I "look so young"-- I was only four years younger than him!

People are shocked whenever I tell them my age; I look much younger than I really am.

I'll know I look old when I'm no longer asked for my ID lol

Yep, Im 26 and people think Im 18 or younger, I walk into shops sometimes and they're like are you old enough to be buying these things and Im like...YES!!

Not recently, but when I was younger older boys / older men thought I was their age. I developed a large chest early on...so 11 year old me got hit on a concerning amount...

Online, no. In person, sometimes.

Once went to a food truck thing with my mom, and there was a woman there talking to her. What was really funny was that the woman turned to me and, despite being the same height as my mother, adopted that voice - you know the one - and asked, "And what grade are you in?"

I didn't mean to do it, but my voice was deep as I said, "Sophomore in college." She looked so stunned that she was talking to someone over 18.

Mom says we'll look young forever thanks to our body chemistry, but it's a hassle sometimes lol
