Residence: Shadowheim - Their main land, a section of Hell/The Underworld these Wolves run.
Second Residence: Fórrelden, Engranussia - their current, extended kingdom. This throne holds power over the four kingdoms of Engranussia; Mákrum, Gerusslden, Actifis and Fórrelden.
Third: Roaming Midgard. It normally depends on the RP setting, but a lot of times it's either somewhere in Scotland, or Ireland.
Demonic Triggers: Devil's Moon ((Red Moon/Nightmare Moon)), the smell of blood, general anger ((Which the last three Dire Devils all have anger issues, so. . . fun~!)).

Background: Dire Devils were an accidental creation by a gypsy by the name of Margaret, when she cursed Laurence for treating her with disrespect once crossing paths on their separate ventures. Laurence senior was a human, until the gypsy girl placed a curse on him which bound his blood with that of a demon wolf. Laurence Senior hated this, at first. What, with needing to control it, hide it, it was all. . . difficult. That is, until Laurence met his wife, Nan. She proposed the idea that they. . . did something with this power, to allow it to be in Laurence's favor, for once.
And that's just what they did. The Devil's Moon directly after their discussion, Laurence SR. slunk into the underworld and killed the then Shadow Father - ceasing the throne in Shadowheim with ease. So much ease, that the ruler of the rest of Hell allowed them to keep their portion of Hell, just so long as the Dire Devil didn't try to expand in the Devil's direction.
And that throne remained theirs up until Laurence's son, Laurence JR. took over. That was when Scáth, the fallen Shadow Father, had returned and that shadow dragon waged war on the kingdom. However the dragon still lost. What made the Dire Devil hand the throne to Umbra was all the loss JR had faced to just get that far. He'd lost his wife, thousands of men, and nearly lost his son Frank. Thus. . . the throne of Shadowheim was no longer occupied by the Alaois.
This angered Frank - his father's cowardly act turned Frank cold, and nasty to his own kids and wife. And, after his father died, Frank changed completely. Beating up on his eldest son, Liam, who he eventually shunned completely once he was found out to be gay. That made Thomas conceal his own feelings. Once Liam was kicked from the family circle, Frank focused his anger on Thomas and his, at the time, best friend Alduin. It was a wonder why Frank didn't kick Thomas out, as well. But. . . who would Frank whip into shape if not the son with the gift?
Frank's idea was to train Thomas to take back the throne Laurence JR so "foolishly handed off". Unfortunately, before the training was complete, Frank had passed away on his grandson - Adrian's - third birthday. But, this was not without spouting those words of demand that Thomas should do the same for Adrian, as Frank had done to Thomas, since Adrian was the Dire Devil's chosen one in Thomas and Kathleen's offspring. And. . . very much to Kathleen's dismay, that is what Thomas had did. Thomas had doubts, however, that Adrian was the next Dire Devil, and for the longest time Kathleen lied and claimed Adrian merely just had the wolf side, rather than the demon to match. But, unlike Thomas, Alduin did not believe the doubt, and actually elected to take the training on, himself. This was when Alduin began bringing Adrian out, just to whip the boy within an inch of his life just to try and coax the demon that Alduin knew was inside, out into full view.
Adrian fought tooth and nail when it came to hiding his secret, with the only motivation being what his mother, Kathleen, had told him. She informed her son that it was much safer to keep everything hidden. And, for the longest time, Adrian was successful. He made it until he was six years of age, and his sister Valerie was 4, Kathleen having been pregnant with Reaver at the time. This. . . was the year Adrian was finally found out, though. Nearly killing Alduin in the process by shoving his claws through Alduin's stomach before taking off to hide.
What came of this; Thomas was furious at Kathleen, and his trust in her withered like a flower in a wildfire. After Alduin's wounds were tended to, Thomas went after Adrian and had his men tear Adrian from Kathleen's hold before his. . . merciless 'training' began, as well. And that training consisted of relentless combat training, studying, and cultists disguised as doctors ((whitecoats, as Adrian calls them)), who'd consistently toy with ways to seal off Adrian's Dire Devil side just enough for him to go through everything else without snapping and killing anyone he was not supposed to. If not for the Alaois kids running off several months after their mother had died, Adrian would have died. The seal, thankfully, was broken as soon as he moved in with the Cheshyres'.
Cut to recently ((When Adrian has kids, and a Dire Devil kin of his own ((Dipper)), Adrian has been forcefully given back the throne to hold, on top of holding the throne for the four kingdoms thanks to his father's "Birthday Gift".
The Dire Devils rise once more~.
