DigiEvolution
Sometimes just referred to as "evolution" or "Digivolution," DigiEvolution is a life long process for the inhabitants of the Digital World. Digimon slowly gather data and experience over the course of their lives until they have enough to trigger evolution and change into a new, more powerful form. A Digimon's environment and the data absorbed influence this process, allowing for a massive variety within the Digital World.

The general stages are as follows:

The data required for each stage increases exponentially, meaning for most Digimon, Champion is the highest they'll ever attain on their own. It's not uncommon to find Champion level Digimon referred to as adults because of this.

Digimon partnered with humans are the seemingly miraculous divergence from the norm, able to temporarily evolve when the situation demands. Instead of drawing on purely data, they gain energy from their partner's emotions and the bond between them. This process isn't foolproof, nor is it without its risks. Partners with a strained and fraying bond may suddenly find themselves unable to Digivolve, or take on an unexpected form altogether. Fueled by their human partners instead of pure data, the partner also feels the strains of battle, feeling mental and physical exhaustion. Thankfully, it's theorized that this strain lessens with experience and strengthened bonds.

Evolving to a new stage for the first time will be a story event.

Digivice

This unusual device was once your cellphone, found within your pocket or bag or perhaps even hand when you awoke. Any photos or music you had survived the process, but not much else in the way of installed apps and the like. Digivice holders can send and receive messages from other Digivices, call each other, act as a flashlight, access a map of their surrounding area, and locate their companions should they be separated. At the end of the day, the Digivice's most important function is that it serves as a catalyst for a partner's DigiEvolution.

Digivices are surprisingly rugged, made from the same rare materials that make up the Royal Knights' armor, you'll be hard pressed to scratch even the screen. If it's running on a battery, it's got a seemingly endless charge. Maybe it's powering itself from its surroundings?

Other functions will be revealed as the story progresses. Note that all Digivices will start out solid grey, once they've registered a human and Digimon duo, their colors change to something suiting the pair.

Partners
For every DigiDestined, there's a partner Digimon at their side. Here you can find a list of the various partners throughout the series as a whole, their full evolution lines, plus links to wiki pages with info for each Digimon.

Some important things to keep in mind:
  • Your partner will spend most of the RP in their Rookie stage.
  • No two players can have the same Digimon.
  • Some Digimon had their names changed for the English dub so I've listed both.
    • Format is Original name/Dub name
    • Use whichever you prefer
  • You don't have to keep with the personalities listed in the wiki if you don't want to.

Spirits
Legendary heroes who once saved the Digital World in ages past. Many young Digimon can be heard wishing to one day become great hero’s like they once were. Various shrines to them can also be found throughout the world. It’s said that instead of dissolving into data and being born anew at the end of their lives, their very souls were split and scattered to the far corners of the world. It's not uncommon to find shrines to these famed heroes and the aspects they embodied.
