  Welcome to my Devil May Cry search! Every year now, I cosplay Vergil Sparda of DMC 3, and every year I get the craving. Now that I'm doing this twice a year, the craving kind of...sticks.
  
  So, what am I looking for? I'm glad you asked! I'm looking for things based on DMC 1-3. I haven't played the ones atter those. I'm not familiar with the anime yet, nor the manga, but I'm planning on looking into it. So, basically what that means is that there is no Nero, and Eva was a human, not an angel.
  
  I'm definitely looking for a plot with Vergil and Dante, so this could be based pre-DMC 3, post DMC-3 (but pre-DMC 1), or post DMC 1.
  
  Lore-wise, I will confess to taking some liberties and making it a bit more like our world, but if we talk out and set the lore ooc, then I can likely use lore more closely related to the games.
  
  Also, included in this is a story inspired by Devil May Cry, "Devils May Dance". It's not with any canons, but plays with some of the themes, so I felt it belonged here.
  
  So, if this interests ya, take a look! Oh, also, I am cool playing either Dante or Vergil. I prefer Dante, but I will play Vergil. And yes, this is doubling with OCs :p . Finally, please read my rules, there is a code in them!

  1. Don't God-Mod. In other words, don't make my character speak, don't make my character, don't make my character take damage, and don't control my character. If you want something to go a certain way for plot purposes, just PM me and ask. Usually, I accept "god-modding" during travel and the like. It is usually acceptable to assume movement if a character is already committed to the journey.
  
  2. Please be able to play both genders, and play multiple roles. Your main character(s) may be just male or just female, but I expect all the side characters and NPCs to have life and flavor, too.
  
  3. On the note of characters: I will always play one female character. So, be aware of that. With that said, I usually also always play one male character, and I do MxM, MxF, and FxF pairings, though I prefer MxF.
  
  4. I only RP on threads, (or GDocs in rare cases), so no PM, kik, discord, e-mail, or other rps with me. So that I know you’ve read the rules this far, please tell me about your favorite food!
  
  5. Please be able to write more than a couple of sentences as responses to me. I have tried to do “simple” RPs, but I end up not feeling motivated to respond or continue the RP. I will need you to be able to write a paragraph or two, each post, at least.
  
  6. PM if you are interested. The only reason for you not to PM me is if you cannot do so due to the fact you haven't reached 24 hours/10 posts.
  
  
  Guidelines:
  
  
  1. I do not like to be hassled for posts. Especially if I have already posted that day or the day before. Do not bother me for posts until at least two days have passed. Otherwise, I will start to resent our RP and lose interest in it.
  
  2. I enjoy OOC talk, however I will not respond to "hi" or "-poke-" or equivalents. Have substance to the chatter, even if it just asking "How are you?".
  
  3. Do not bump our thread if I have not posted. I will not post out of spite. I have a problem with this, I acknowledge it, I'm not fixing it.
  
  4. On that matter, please keep OOC to PMs and not on our IC thread. IC is for posting. If you have a question, concern, or comment, just shoot me a PM.
  
  5. In general, I do not enjoy immediate romances or "slice-of-life" RPs, so do not come to me expecting I'll do either. I may make rare exceptions.

  Dante is starting up his business, or about to. I'm imagining him currently being pretty mercenary or freelance and building up his funds to buy a place to work out of. Perhaps we take a detour from the main plot, and he gets called to deal with Vergil, who is causing problems in his own search - or, Dante is mistaken for Vergil and a hitman/hitwoman goes after him! They are twins, after all....
  
  This could lead into the plot of DMC 3 with some twists, or change it all completely. Vergil could be prevented from bringing the Tower up, or he could succeed. It would be determined by our own OCs and how the story goes.
  
  For this one, I could imagine other demon hunters being good OCs, any descendants of the priestess Sparda used to seal Hell, or things like that. Basically, don't come to me with a random nobody - involve yourself!

  Vergil goes to Hell. He tries to challenge Mundus, but what if he was rescued? What if Dante didn't accept losing his brother?
  
  Basically, the idea is that Dante doesn't just leave Vergil to his fate. Dante tries to find another way to Hell to save his brother, and he could probably use a companion for it - maybe another half demon, a demon hunter who knows the ways into Hell, a religious figure who can transport them there via spell - someone who can help Dante go to Hell.
  
  For Vergil, he's got to survive in Hell, which means someone is dragging his ass away from Mundus before or after the fight, but before he becomes Nero Angelo. This is likely a pure blood demon who has been able to avoid falling under Mundus's influence, or another half, either of which sees Vergil as a useful way out of Hell, or an ally against Mundus...later. Vergil will have to adjust to a new world where the majority hate him simply for being a Sparda, and unaware Dante is heading to his rescue.

  Vergil didn't die when he was defeated. When Mundus did die, his hold on Vergil was lost and Vergil regrouped. Defeated by Dante, controlled by Mundus, Vergil is faced with figuring out how to begin again. This could also vary depending on where he awakens - Earth or Hell.
  
  Plenty of room here to carve out our own story. Dante isn't done with killing demons, and if his brother comes to him to start anew, the tensions would be interesting - or if he learns that Vergil is still alive and avoiding him, or maybe trying to become the next Mundus/Sparda...the possibilities are endless, so I'm up for discussing them and figuring out a plot with both the Sons of Sparda!

  Dancing and Fighting. Rivalry. Siblings. Reaching for the Stars.
  
  Inspired heavily by my cosplay of Vergil Sparda and waltzing with Dante Sparda in the rain, I would like to play an original story involving two enemies who are either related, or were long-time friends. I would love to include a dance scene in this if possible, down the line, as a last moment of affection, a party crashed - something. It just seems like it'd be an interesting way for the enemies to have a last close conversation.
  
  Obviously, we would need to build to that point, and this plot would involve doubling as the main characters (two enemies) wouldn't interact too much except when one or the other goes after them. I like the idea of playing the one that is the power-hungry individual, and I'd like to work out the details of this plot. I also prefer if they are siblings, twins or otherwise.
  
  I'd prefer this set in "Modern" times, but either a very AU Earth, or a different world entirely. I do like the idea of playing with angels and demons, or other supernatural creatures, for the enemy pairs. Of course, after the DMC thing, I'm partial to having them be part demon and/or angel, and they could possibly have different mothers to make it all the more interesting, so far as their blood is concerned.
  
  I also enjoy the idea of them having legendary parent(s) that they could be in the shadow of--and obviously, both of them work that out in very different ways.
  
  Magical items should be a thing, and magic-by-species, as well.
