In the pursuit of great, many a man fail to do good.

Perhaps it was this very idea, one that he had realized very early on in life, that made the thirty-two year old the very picture of an underachiever, read disappointment. A follower, never a leader, who does as he's told like a dog trained to sit and stay on command, Robyn refuses to, more like cannot, break away from following the status quo. After all, if it isn't broken, why fix it, and if it is broken... well, Robyn can't see it. He goes through the motions of life with a pair of rose-colored glasses that only highlight the good and hide the bad. Add inextinguishable optimism together with a strong sense of righteousness, and it isn't hard to see why all is right with the world to Robyn. To him, only by following the law is the greatest amount of good achieved for the greatest amount of people.

And yet, for someone who tries so hard to be good, he is fraught with sin. Zealous in his pursuit of doing good and removing evil, Robyn is stubborn in his beliefs—annoyingly so. If you're not with him, you're against him, and he is not afraid to show it in his words and actions. Yet, oftentimes only a single word, something as simple as a reminder of rank, is needed to put him in his place. He follows authority without a second thought, even if every cell in his body is fighting against it, and trusts the words of others with his whole heart no matter how much of a reason they have to lie or betray him. Worst of all, when there comes a time to act poorly in the pursuit of good, Robyn cannot bring himself to do it. He is self-preserving, and awfully insecure about his own capabilities and worthiness, in that sense—a fiercely selfish man in regards to protecting his morals. To die a hero would be better than to live long enough to be the villain.

And a hero he is to the town of Heaven's End: the charming, both to the eyes and the mind, and friendly neighbor willing to lend a hand at all times. A man who always throws a nice tip in for the waiters at his favorite cafe, who converses in a way that causes time to pass without notice, and who always gives what he has on hand to help the less fortunate as if he were collecting enough good will to return to Heaven. But heaven is a place on Earth as they say, and Robyn is trying his hardest to make Heaven's End that place.

He may be a little misguided, but his heart's in the right place.
BIOGRAPHY
Surely, you must have at least one achievement in your life? Anything?

For Robyn, no. No he does not, but only for lack of trying, mind you. Born to the children of immigrants, Robyn never had any need to be successful, to justify his parents' sacrifices. His parents had done that themselves and expected none of it from their only child. Still, a small bit of them wished to be able to brag a little bit—it was always a gratifying feeling to have something better than others.

They gave up after their son barely passed elementary school, even with their coaxing and short stints with after school tutoring. Was their son dumb? Less intelligent than the average person? Perhaps even delayed? No. Well, no to the last question. The first two are subjective. This pattern of barely passing continued for years. Middle school. High school. Even community college, but he scraped by by the skin of his teeth. He truly seemed like a deadbeat, willing to live off his parents for the rest of his days.

Yet despite his awful reputation in town, Robyn was known as the most helpful man in town—someone always willing to stop for a person in need. He had a certain je ne sais quoi about him that made him charming and a pleasure to be around. Robyn had a way with people, a true talent that went undiscovered until he was discovered by the detective agency at 27—fairly late for a detective, that made them feel comfortable—comfortable enough to spill their guts about all the troubles plaguing them.

And while most of his coworkers aren't sure why he's a part of the team, considering he rarely solves any case correctly or provides helpful suggestions, he's still part of the team. Maybe if he's given the chance, and some trust, Robyn will prove himself. Until then, Robyn will continue to be the team's resident good cop with little to provide besides his good nature and looks.

REPUTATION
A deadbeat child who is truly only good for one thing: helping out other people. Pretty useless as far as detective work comes, and most people don't understand why he's still on the team. Even his good cop role doesn't have a good success rate as the bad cops always scare the criminals shitless before they ever see him. Around town, he's known for being easy to persuade, easy to get talking, and being a little airheaded. Most people don't come to him with any logical problems even though he's capable of so much more.

Background:

An ex-trustfund kid whose partying life style and bratty behaviour wound up with her being disowned by her family. Just 4 years ago Maria was a socialite in the great city of Athens but after endless scandals and her family having to cover up a wrongful death caused by Maria she was finally disowned, the young women begged to be let back in, she promised she'd change but she was met by cruel glances and stone faces. she truly lost everything that day.

After fall from her ivory tower Maria got a sharp dose of reality and started working on a holiday resort where she met people from all around the world and that's where she met him. Maria wanted to leave Greece and so she started her elaborate game to use this old, rich man as her golden ticket to a better life and oh god, it worked so well. Within 3 months Maria had a large diamond engagement ring and being flown first class to bright city of New York, obviously her marriage didn't last very long, 5 months 12 days to be exact before she asked for a divorce on the grounds of adultery. her husband was stupid enough to not to have her sign a prenuptial agreement and soon enough Maria walked away from the marriage a whole lot richer.

Maria used the money from her divorce to put herself through university where she studied education with the hopes of becoming a teacher. Now, you may wonder why a recent multi-millionaire would ever even want a job but during her time at college Maria changed, she gained a conscious and with a good set of friends Maria became quite a likeable person who saw that this world favoured the rich.

Upon her graduation Maria got a job at a high school in Heaven's End, a strange place that oozed tension and unfortunately had it's fair share of deprived areas. Upon starting her job Maria learned the stories of her students and slowly began to use her divorce money for good, she would make anonymous donation to kids who didn't have money to pay for school or she'd slip a cheque to a student's mother who couldn't afford rent. Maria has become a changed woman and it's all thanks to a naive man who couldn't see past a pretty face.

In recent days Maria has slowly began to notice the tension in the city slowly increasing, it was like something was brewing? Maria can't describe it but she feels like something is coming, something big. Maybe it's her soulmate or maybe it's something way bigger.
