Name:
Shuto Ran

Age:
15

Height:
5'10

Weight:
150 lbs

Appearance:
Shuto stands at 5'10, with short dark blue hair and eyes. Spending most of his time working on a boat, Shuto has developed a lean, muscular figure. He wears the standard Demon Slayer Corps uniform, with a haori over it.

Personality:
Shuto is very morally driven and zealous. He believes in justice and has an ultimate goal of world peace. However, he understands completely that peace cannot be obtained without initial violence. He is a firm follower of chivalry, swordsmanship, and the strength of duty. He will do anything - even if he doesn't want to - if he is bound by duty to do so. He isn't fond of killing others, but if he is provoked in any way, he will do it without hesitation. He gets along well with others, and can be rather easygoing and laid back when he isn't on a mission. He is very responsible and protective, with a bad habit of risking his life to protect others and shrugging it off afterwards. He is also easily annoyed by rudeness lack of manners, and often acts on his annoyance by lashing out at others.

Background:
Shuto was born shortly before his mother fell to pneumonia, so he was raised solely by his father, who was a fisherman. Because he was a single father, Shuto's father carried him on his back while he worked until Shuto was old enough to walk and help on the boat. Because it typically rained a lot at sea, Shuto developed a great balance and sense of touch, and developed his body and endurance in harsh climates since he was very young. When Shuto was about 13, they were attacked by a demon in the middle of the ocean. Shuto, who had learned some swordsmanship as he grew older, had to hold the demon at bay on his own until the sun came up. No matter how many times he decapitated the demon, it would keep coming back for more. Because he had learned that demons were real then, he joined the Demon Slayer Corps in order to prevent others from having to go through the same traumatic situation he did.

Relationships:
Goro Ran (Father), Aoi Ran (Mother, Deceased); Shuto's mother succumbed to pneumonia a few weeks after giving birth to him, and he was raised solely by his father, who often carried him on his back while he worked as a fisherman. Once Shuto was old enough to stand, his father had him help as much as he could. Shuto holds a great respect for both his mother and father, and believes that his father is the reason he was able to develop his Sleet Breathing technique.

Rank:
Initiate

Haori Color:
Various shades of blue, teal, pink, and purple.

Nichirin Blade:
Shuto uses a standard nichirin Ōdachi with a blueish-gray ito wrap and a handguard truly fitting for a man of the sea.

Breathing style:
Self-Taught, Breath of Sleet:
Sleet can progress into two different forms; It can either melt down into pure water, or freeze into ice. After realizing this during his time travelling the seas, Shuto developed his own breathing style: Breath of Sleet. This breathing style utilizes two different forms: Water, which is offensive, and Ice, which is defensive. Because of this, every attack also has a defensive variant.

Derived from:
Breath of Water

Forms:
*First Form: Shallow Strike - The swordsman focuses their energy into a single, concentrated slash.
*First Form Ice Variant: Snow Slide - The swordsman blocks the incoming attack, and uses the block to parry into a Shallow Strike.

*Second Form: Rising Tide - The swordsman moves erratically, gaining speed as they move and attacking whenever they see an opening. Used to weaken stronger opponents by forcing them to bleed.
*Second Form Ice Variant: Black Ice - The swordsman blocks an oncoming assault, but also moves erratically while defending. This is to tire the opponent out by forcing them to move while they attack, consuming double the energy.

Third Form: Drown - The most difficult Sleet Breathing technique to use. The swordsman focuses directly on the weakest point of the enemy (Humans being their heart, Demons being their necks), and delivers a powerful thrust/slash to that area. Meant to be a quick finisher.
Third Form Ice Variant: Shield of Ice - The swordsman holds their sword to protect both their heart and their head, preventing an instant death.

Fourth Form: Heart of the Sea - The swordsman allows their natural instincts to kick in, and they attack in an unpredictable, animalistic way,
Fourth Form Ice Variant: Cyrotherapy - The swordsman focuses their breathing onto themselves, using the technique to speed up the healing process of sprains, clot bleeding wounds, and numb the pain of broken bones. Cryotherapy does not completely heal the swordsman, but it can be used to reduce the effects of lethal wounds and allow the swordsman to perform a final, last resort attack.

*Fifth Form: Riptide - The swordsman unleashes a relentless assault on the enemy, increasing the momentum in their strikes and delivering faster, stronger, and more precise blows the longer the attack is carried out. Used to break through defense and make openings.
Fifth Form Ice Variant: Glacier Armor - The swordsman concentrates all of their energy into defense, blocking as many attacks as they can. Used against large-scale or rapid attacks. A type of near-perfect defense.

Hidden Sixth Form: The Trench at the Seabed - The swordsman forces their opponent into a long-term striking match, unleashing a seemingly never-ending assault powerful enough to do damage, but suspiciously easy to block and parry. This is the swordsman's trick. Once enough time passes, the opponent will notice that their skin is beginning to turn blue and feel numb, and that they will have an extremely difficult time breathing. Despite the swordsman's attacks being easy to avoid, the opponent will realize that they were in a full-scale hitting match for a long period of time, focusing more on attacking and defending than breathing. They were forced into cyanosis by the swordsman, who has "dragged them to the trench at the seabed". To put it simply, the swordsman has simulated drowning the opponent, and the opponent will be extremely fatigued if the assault works the way it was intended to.

Hidden Sixth Form, Ice Variant: Blizzard - Much like the calm but ferocious falling of snow during a blizzard, the swordsman strikes their sword downward against their opponent's blade/weapon hard enough to temporarily force it into the ground if it is a sword, or cut it off if it is an enemy's hand. While the opponent is preparing to attack, the swordsman prepares an extremely slow downward slash. The opponent will generally believe that they can kill the swordsman while they are wide open, and move in faster. It is then that the swordsman slams their blade down.

I’m absolutely in love with the breathing style!!

Weight: 118 lbs

Appearance:

Personality:Very quiet, but when he does speak, it means a lot, or it's a threat. He usually distances himself, though he has a more outgoing side when it comes to fighting demons. Usually, when he kills one, he'll wish them a good life after death.

Background: To be revealed in roleplay

Relationships: Dead Parents

Rank: Master

Breathing style: Breath of Feathers

Forms:

ғɪʀsᴛ ғᴏʀᴍ: ᴇxᴘᴇᴅɪᴛɪᴏᴜs ʜᴜᴍᴍɪɴɢʙɪʀᴅ

Speed based attack with quick jabs to vital organs of the opponent with his blade all the while circling around them.

user uploaded image

sᴇᴄᴏɴᴅ ғᴏʀᴍ: ᴏᴡʟ

Usually a counter form, Arumono just stands still with a blank stare. And as soon as he is approached or attacked he'll quickly turn around in a 180° motion and deliver a strong and swift up-ward motion.

user uploaded image

ᴛʜɪʀᴅ ғᴏʀᴍ: ғᴀʟᴄᴏɴ ᴅɪᴠᴇ

A very fast aerial attack where Arumono dives down from the air and does a very deadly and swift thrust.

user uploaded image

ғᴏᴜʀᴛʜ ғᴏʀᴍ: ᴘʀᴇʏɪɴɢ ʜᴀᴡᴋ

Arumono leaps down almost gracefully and uses his sword to make a sort of swooping strike attack aimed center-mass.

user uploaded image

ғɪғᴛʜ ғᴏʀᴍ: ᴡᴏᴏᴅᴘᴇᴄᴋᴇʀ ғʟᴜʀʀʏ

A basic but effective move, Arumono pins down the opponent with the soles of his feet. Then he'll rapidly jam and stab his opponent before moving away.

user uploaded image

sɪxᴛʜ ғᴏʀᴍ: ʟᴀᴍᴍᴇʀɢᴇɪᴇʀs ᴏɴsʟᴀᴜɢʜᴛ

Based off the dangerous bearded vulture animal this form utilizes the area. Dashing around and back 10 feet within strikes, dealing massive damage with each heavy blow to the body.

user uploaded image

sᴇᴠᴇɴᴛʜ ғᴏʀᴍ: ᴘᴜʀsᴜɪᴛ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ ᴄᴀssᴏᴡᴀʀʏ

Utilizes unnatural amounts of speed and Arumono's raw stopping power. Arumono hunts down and chases after opponents that flee, then he'll deliver three clean cleaves that can surely put them down if not careful.

user uploaded image

ᴇɪɢʜᴛ ғᴏʀᴍ: ᴘʜᴏᴇɴɪx ʀᴇʙɪʀᴛʜ

A last shot attempt move, usually used if Arumono is potentially about to die or pass out from raw exhaustion. He'll rise from the ashes of the battle with the last ounces of his strength and deliver 25 strikes within 10 seconds onto an opponent that are all directed to fatal areas.

user uploaded image

ɴɪɴᴛʜ ғᴏʀᴍ: ʙɪʀᴅs ᴏғ ғᴇᴀᴛʜᴇʀ

A completely original form made by Arumono that isn't based off an specific bird. Arumono dashes and leaps around at very high speeds while putting a lot of pressure on the opponent and leaving behind afterimages, he'll deliver sharp yet powerful slashes at every part of his victim's body while moving around the ground and jumping around the air as if he were a flock of birds all attacking at once as a group. He finally appears above the opponent midair and delivers a fast, diagonal crescent slash that is mainly aimed for the neck. If Arumono is in an area where he can jump off objects then he can use this form while jumping from place to place, trees or walls are a good example of this.

Name:
Yusuke Ito

Age:
22

Height:
5'11

Weight:
164 lbs.

Appearance:
Yusuke is a handsome young man, standing at 5 feet and 10 inches and weighing 164 pounds. He has long, shaggy black hair, often tied back in a ponytail. He has some stubble on his face, and lazy, golden eyes. Yusuke's appearance is the furthest thing from that of a distinguished Hashira's. He looks more like a vagrant than a high-ranking member of the demon slayer corps, but he doesn't care. Two things that can always be seen on his person are his bright orange scarf, and his red haori, both sewn by his late wife.

Personality:
Yusuke was once a happy-go-lucky, energetic member of the demon slayer corps with ambitions of becoming a Hashira and protecting Japan from nefarious demons. Now, after becoming a Hashira, he is nothing but a shell of his former self. He is lazy, sarcastic, nonchalant, vulgar, and gives off a strong impression that he doesn't take his position as a Hashira seriously. He spends most of his free time drinking and lazing around, treats the act of slaying demons more like a chore than a natural duty, and has the manners of a 5 year old child.

Yusuke doesn't show much concern for the wellbeing of others, often putting his Tsuguko in risky situations while using 'training' as an excuse. He believes that in order to survive in a world full of demons, one should be able to take care of themselves and handle what they signed up for without the constant assistance of stronger, higher powers. He also has a pessimistic view of his own life, and has stated multiple times that he 'wouldn't care' if he dropped dead at any time.

Yusuke's despicable attitude derives from the loss of his wife, Ritsuko, at the hands of an upper moon demon two years ago. He is severely depressed, and relies on alcohol and other unhealthy coping mechanisms to keep him 'stable'. If confronted about his past or his wife/her death, Yusuke will respond violently and threaten whoever is asking the questions. He may not seem like it, but deep down he does care for others, and will go out of his way to protect fellow demon slayers if he believes their lives are truly in danger. When facing demons, Yusuke is extremely hateful, ruthless and violent, attacking them as if they were his sworn enemies. He enjoys making them suffer, often flashing a sadistic grin as they meet their fate.

Background:
Yusuke lived a fairly normal life up to when he joined the Demon Slayer Corps, where he had hopes of becoming the strongest Hashira in the organization's history. He trained vigorously day after day to hone his skills, until he eventually reached his goal of becoming a Hashira at age 18. After his promotion, he married his childhood sweetheart, Ritsuko, and lived a fairly peaceful and happy life outside of his demon slaying position. Two years into his new life, Ritsuko was killed by an upper moon demon, marking the beginning of Yusuke's dive into depression.

Relationships:
Yui Ito (Mother, Alive), Asahi Ito (Father, Alive), Ritsuko Ito (Wife, Deceased)

Rank:
Hashira

Haori Color:
Red, Black & Gold

Nichirin Blade:
Yusuke uses a standard Nichirin Katana. It has a deep, wine red blade with black marbling throughout it, and a red, wispy handguard.

Breathing style:
Breath of Flames

Derived from:
Sun Breathing

Forms:
(First five forms were taken from the Wiki, of course. Since forms 6-8 weren't revealed, I added a unique 6th form, using the description of the 9th form.)
First Form: Unknowing Fire - The user charges towards their opponent at high speed and decapitates them in one slash.

Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun - The user releases an arching slash attack upwards.

Third Form: Blazing Universe - The user swings their blade downwards in an arc.

Fourth Form: Blooming Flame Undulation - The user swings their blade in a circular motion that can defend them from all incoming attacks or decapitate multiple enemies at once.

Fifth Form: Flame Tiger - The user unleashes a powerful series of sword slashes that seemingly takes the form of a rampaging tiger engulfed in flames that charges towards the enemy at blinding speeds.

Fifth Form: Firestorm of the Blazing Dragon - A devastating dashing slash that the user initiates from a high stance, the technique had enough power to carve a deep impression that burnt the ground where it was unleashed.

Other:

To make things easier for myself, I went and found the link to the old RP where I made forms for each of the demons. Feel free to claim any of them as your own and use them for missions!

Personality: He's a Cocky man. A very Cocky man. He refuses to acknowledge that someone else could have a chance at beating him. He made his way to the top by, instead of eating Humans, he had gone to canabalism, spreading fear through demons.

Background: Most will be found out in RP, but for Cs to make sense. A small bit of info will be given.

Misuna was once a demon slayer, until his family was attacked while they were sleeping, and he was turned into a demon. Because of this, he has a breathing style and a Blood demon art, he prefers the Breathing style over the art though.

Relationships: NA

Rank: Demon king

Weapon: images(11).jpg

Breathing style: Eternity Breathing

Derived from: Water Breathing

Blood Demon Art:Consuming Demon

Forms:

Breathing style attacks:.

𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙢, 𝙍𝙖𝙞𝙟𝙞𝙣’𝙨 𝘿𝙧𝙪𝙢𝙨

First Form, Raijin’s Drums

壱ノ型雷神の太鼓

Ichi no kata:Raijin no taiko

The practitioner dashes forward at almost blinding speeds, drawing their blade and unleashing several slashes before moving past the opponent and sheathing their blade.

Much like the first forms of many other notable styles, this technique allows the practitioner to strike with relative ease and bring a swift end to an opponent. More specifically, Eternity Breathing’s first form allows the practitioner to dice up an opponent with speed most can not properly react to- assuming that the practitioner has the physical ability.

𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙢, 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙍𝙚𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣

Second Form, Heavenly Retribution

弐ノ型天の報復

Ni no kata: Ten no hōfuku

The practitioner draws their blade, unleashing sixteen slashes in rapid succession before returning their blade to its sheath.

The second form of Eternity Breathing is a technique which can be used for both defensive and offensive purposes, allowing practitioners to fit into a variety of situations. Though, with the nature of Eternity Breathing as a style practitioners may find themselves having an easier time using the style in a more offensive manner. I’d also say that this form is well suited for being used in conjunction with other forms.

𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙙 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙢, 𝙀𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙨𝙩 - 𝘼𝙗𝙮𝙨𝙨

Third Form, Eternal Tempest - Abyss

参ノ型永遠の嵐 - 深淵

San no kata: Eien no arashi - Shin’en

The practitioner dashes forward, unleashing one broad and twisting slash around themselves as they move.

This form is best suited for deflecting attacks as the practitioner closes distance between themselves and an opponent, it is meant to be used in conjunction with other more offensive techniques.

𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙢, 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙜𝙪𝙣

Fourth Form, Palace of The Shogun

肆ノ型将軍の宮殿

Shi no kata: Shōgun no kyūden

The practitioner unleashes a powerful forward thrust into their opponent’s chest, instantly unleashing several outwards slashes to cut the opponent down.

Like other forms featured in Eternity Breathing, the fifth form does have a rather lethal nature, but the fourth form in particular excels in staggering opponents and creating a small window of time to strike them down.

𝙁𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙝 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙢, 𝙍𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙚

Fifth Form, Ring of Tomoe

伍ノ型巴の指輪

Go no kata: Tomoe no yubiwa

The practitioner charges towards multiple opponents, unleashing rapid and focused slashes to behead opponents before moving on to the next in a matter of mere instances. Alternatively, if the form is in use against one singular opponent the practitioner will dash around their opponent, making it harder to read their movements as they strike several times in rapid succession.

The primary purpose of this form is to fend off several opponents at once with relative ease, but it is also quite useful against singular opponents with greater strength- the form allows the practitioner to move in a way which is hard to read, between their speed and almost random movement patterns most would not be react properly.

𝙎𝙞𝙭𝙩𝙝 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙢, 𝙀𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮’𝙨 𝙀𝙙𝙜𝙚 - 𝙍𝙖𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣

Sixth Form, Eternity’s Edge - Raiden

陸ノ型永遠の端 - 雷電

Roku no Kata: Eien no hashi - Raiden

The Practitioner unsheathes their weapon, in the next instant unleashing several all-encompassing slashes around themselves to shred anything both close and far before returning the blade to its sheath.

The sixth and subsequent final form of Eternity Breathing is both the fastest and strongest form- essentially the pinnacle of the style. Assuming that the practitioner has the strength, they move with such speed and precision that it also seems as if their blade never left its sheath, this of course being untrue due to the surrounding death and destruction. Additionally, this form can easily be used in tandem with previous ones to leave several opponents left to ruin.

This demon art is rather simple actually, working on the same premise of eating demon flesh to gain power. This demon art allows the user to consume other demons of lower or higher rank and by consuming the flesh of other demons, a toned down version of that demon’s blood art is permanently added to the arsenal of the user. Much like the abilities of Genya Shinazugawa, the consumption of demon flesh for the user of this blood art allows the user to manifest demon arts. However, with this blood art the consumption of demon flesh gives the user the exact demon art of the demon who’s flesh was consumed. But, the catch with this demon art is that the user will only be granted then demon art, they will be not granted neither the experience or techniques that the natural user of the demon art would have. Seeing as the user of this demon art with inherit neither the experience or techniques that the natural user has developed, the user of this demon art will have create their own techniques and fighting styles based off of the stolen demon arts. Now, while that may be tedious to do because techniques can take hundreds of years to develop, this demon art also allows the user to have a wide variety of possible attack strategies as well as a large arsenal of different demon arts to wield as they collect them. This demon art is rather simple actually, working on the same premise of eating demon flesh to gain power. Appearance: Takafumi is a pale young man with straight, dark-purple hair that falls down the nape of his neck and parts to the left, framing his right eye; seemingly glowing a more intense hue of purple when hit by sunlight. Takafumi has an almost indulgent stare, even lethargic at times, yet his heterochromic eyes do not match his usual burnt out expression, as they tend to see the world through a perpetual state of focus. Going for a more feral glare when irked, though still maintaining the same deadpan stare as not to let a singular shrill of emotion show through. He is usually found wearing the same haori, black and white linen adorned with the pattern of flowers, leaves and the everflowing wind. The imposing figure of a traditonal chinese dragon further embellishes it with grand airs as it rests on the back. Aside form this, the only other markings or accesories he carries with him are two wysteria flower earrings and his family's symbol, hanging low to his heart as collar, a heirloom that he protects dearly.

Personality: Presenting himself to the world as stoic and calculating, Takafumi tends to separate his work and ethics from personal life to better himself as a demon slayer, as it all has been his most recent obsession ever since his father's past came to haunt him. He's set out to gain a reputation for himself that paints a clear contradiction from that of his old man's, he needs to prove to himself that he is not from the same breed, to an almost unhealthy degree. Willing to go the extra mile even at the cost of his own life.

Beneath this personal goal, however, is an easy going kid that treats every day as if it were the very last. Opportunistic at heart and extremely hard to break in situations where he needs to stay reliable, wishing to keep the positive energy in people and act as an over-protective older brother to those he deems good-willed. His overview of the world has always been that of an "unfair cesspool, kind people never get to live.", and that is a statement he treasures to the very core of his soul, as he's developed a semi-masochistic tendency of really enjoying himself in the disparity. He feels the most alive whenever he's knocked down and forced to struggle his way back up, but he is not very fond of friendly faces tasting the same mud as himself, doing his utmost to put his well-being on the line for them to avoid the same fate.

When faced by the 'demon dilemma' he is rather callous and disingenuous against the idea of fighting a demon, treating the whole thing as an elaborate game of shogi. A game of beheading, if you would. He treats death to even his worst enemies with due respect and honor, but this does not mean he won't use every tool in his arsenal to ensure there'll be a head rolling on the ground in his next move. He believes demons are unredeemable until proven otherwise, Takafumi won't hold back unless he sees a glimmer of humanity in his opponent.

Background:

Kiryū Takafumi was the firstborn son of Kiryū Keisuke, a former kenjutsu practicioneer who ran away from his hometown after his family was attacked by demons, the guilt from leaving a family behind bringing his father the self-proclaimed title of ronin and casted him to become a wandering vagabond. After his wife, maddened by the sickening lifestyle, attempted to murder him in his sleep, Keisuke ran away with his son Takafumi. Who he considered nothing but a curse for the beginning of his childhood.

Whilst extremely reluctant to raise his child, the man shared with the kid the most basic needs to survive another night. Coming to finally love him as his son as the years flew by, seeing the brave individual he could never be in young Takafumi, as the child was also interested in the way of the sword; obsessed, one would've said after seeing the kid swinging a stick every day without rest. It was Takafumi's innate passion, nevertheless Keisuke remained reluctant to tutor him, fearing the same fate would dawn over his son if he ever took up the sword. This did not stop Takafumi at all, to his father's surprise, who watched in awe as his son began to get better and better at it all by himself. He wasn't just passionate about it, he was practically a genius when it came down to swordsmanship.

As Keisuke saw potential grow within a seed he'd thought rotten, he was once again ashamed of himself, and couldn't help but have small sparring matches with Takafumi to give him that small push towards his exponential growth. At least to teach him about personal defense if a precarious situation ever came his way.

As father and son trained, it became well-known throughout the common folk near their small portion of the world, who thought of Keisuke as nothing but a downtrodden loner, someone you'd tell your children to avoid at all cost. But now seeing him in a new light, the opportunity to swindle him was born. In town, every night, almost two adults and a child disappeared out of nowhere, only leaving behind a trail of blood. The only real evidence to unveil the gruesome acts were the gossip of those who beared witness to a bloodied up monster, whom every night before sunrise returned to an old shed in the outskirts of their safehaven. A demon.

And it most certainly wouldn't do them no wrong to send an expendable nobody to deal with the situation. Keisuke, now a caring father willing to forget the past and raise his son a good man, was lured by the villagers offer; a large reward and a portion of his honor back. Alas, things such as that only go as planned in fairy tales, the villagers hoped he would either kill the demon or the both of them killing eachother.

Keisuke's last moments were those of a humilliated ronin in the eyes of everyone else, the bravest man in a pigshed full of cowards in the eyes of a demon, and in the eyes of his son -- All Takafumi saw after the news from his father's passing came to him, was pure red. The child had a good nature by heart, always curious and friendly to even those who gave him the same treatment as his father, but that was the only moment Takafumi felt true rage coursing through his veins. Something cracked, and as he found his father's keepsake sword, Takafumi wanted to find out just how good that demon really was.

And so, with suicidal intent only, he managed to slay his first demon leaving with gaping scars and with a sense of void that drove him to join the demon slayer corps. He trained and honed his skills, driven by an inner anger that subsided after the years passed by, replaced by the need to be the one to immortalize his family's name and to protect those closest to him.

Relationships: Kiryū Keisuke - Father/Mentor (Deceased)
??? - Mother (Missing)

Rank: Initiate

Haori Color: Black and white, golden patterns.

Nichirin Blade: Standard Nichirin. The blade is coated in a blackened hue that begins turning a faint blue near the tip.

Breathing Style:

"Self-taught" Ghost Breathing - It is a conglomeration of different styles and forms Takafumi came up with by himself whilst taking inspiration from the many different techniques his master and peers displayed. In it's base, it remains as a very amateurish attempt to mimick the swordsmanship of an old man trying to show off. Yet, upon further inspection, one could find a wide array of sub-roots where the style mainly originated from. In Takafumi's own words: "I took the grace and flow of Water Breathing, gave it some sting with a mix of my own secret formula; and added some circus freak flair to it." Oddly enough, one could argue that certain techniques share some similarities with the long lost 'Beast Breathing', due to how unorthodox and brutal the movements end up being.

Derived from:

Water Breathing

Breathing Forms:

* First Form: Weeping Widow - A precise move that serves as some sort of formless counter. It requires the slayer to perfectly calculate when a hit is going to land and then slightly move his body away from the attack the instant it is about to make contact, making it seem as though the strike went through them instead of landing. If the move is pulled off it can be followed by a counter of any type.

* Second Form: Purgatory - The slayer performs a myriad of lightning fast slashes that flow into one another as he backs the enemy into a corner. This move is meant not as a finishing blow, but as a maneuver to leave the opponent open to one.

Third Form: Vengeful Spirit - A downward slash perfomed with all of the slayer's might, stopped just before the strike is about to land and immediately redirected to a blind spot where the opponent is defenseless, all done in the blink of an eye.

Fourth Form: Ochita Kami - To perform this, the slayer must first dispose of his blade by flinging skywards, only resorting to grapples and strikes; performed in unusual angles and in unreadable ways, requiring the demon-slayer to move like a ghost, a monster that could send shivers down the enemy's spine and confuse them long enough to not even see the true strike coming; only realizing what had happened after their heads were done rolling on the floor. To finish it off, the slayer must catch the sword as it falls all whilst still using such abnormal moves to battle with his opponent, making use of the element of surprise to deliver one last blow. This form is rendered useless, or atleast difficult to perform, in confined spaces

* Fifth Form: "Akuma o musabori kuu hebi" - A simple, yet effective technique. By smearing his blade with a special mix of wysteria flower poison, the slayer can make a demon's bodily functions cease with a regular cut. Takafumi carries a specific mix of poison stored in a gourd that slowly but surely makes demons freeze up to a halt, similar to the bite of a komodo dragon. Each slash can be enhanced through breathing technique to be deeper and apply a stronger dose of poison. Takafumi discovered the formula to this demon killing poison in an old, dusty journal near the Butterfly State.

* Sixth Form: Dragon's Oath - A technique derived from his father's kenjutsu. The slayer brings his sword down with all his strength, only to quickly redirect it upwards to further deepen the cut.

Seventh Form: Kurayaminonakade yūrei - A form of foot-work that allows the slayer to dance around the enemy at inhumane speeds, taking advantange of any moment of weakness in the opponent's guard to close the distance and perform a clean beheading.

Eight Form - Onryō: Gyakuhatsu - ???

Ninth Form - Shiryō: Keihatsu - ???

Tenth Form - "Ukabarenairei" - ???

DEMON SLAYER CORPS INFO CARD

Masahiko Himura
Age: 12

Height: 4'6 / ~135 cm

Weight: 70 lbs / ~33 kg?
1627532825749.png

Personality:

Smug and prickly, Masahiko is a difficult fellow to get along with. He has a witty remark for every occasion, and his face never faulters below an amused smile. Even more annoyingly, neither does his tone. He loves to make himself known, entering every room with an air of pizzaz and decadence. Thankfully, he knows to keep quiet when his betters are about.

Despite his snark, Masahiko is suprisingly focused. In the end, everything he does is one goal, and one goal only, to slay demons. He'll follow any order, and work with any person if it gets him closer to that goal. That said, Masahiko's never promised to make it a pleasant working experience.

Masahiko's prickliness comes from a bit of loathing and lack of patience. While he won't talk about it, he feels as if he's never progressing fast enough. As long as there are people dying, he has something to feel guilty about, and no amount of accomplishment satisfies him.

An street rat in the downtown of a Asakusa City, Masahiko struggled to survive. Stealing food, doing odd chores, begging, avoiding annoying the wrong people, he didn't even have a surname. He claimed a spot next to a large festive cherry tree as his begging spot, with a hole in a nearby building as his bed.

One day of begging let to an interesting company as a man with a haori and a blade came, sharing his lunch with a young Masahiko as he trained as the sun was setting. He smelled of steel and cherry blossoms. Commenting on it, the man laughed, before moving his haori, revealing two perfumed kodachi.

The man started to train, and Masahiko was mesmorized by his movements, how between deep breaths he moved between inhuman flicks of the blade. Masahiko tried to learn everything. The man laughed and said 'with time', giving his name as Kojiro Himura, a demon slayer. He left as the sun had gone down, and didn't return until the morning. He looked tired, so Masahiko offered the man his sleeping spot. The man laughed, looking at the tiny hole... then accepted, squeezing into it with good humor... and passed out. He was covered in wounds, but was up again by the next evening.

He practiced, and Masahiko watched again. He explained more about the demon slayer corps, and offered Masahiko a spot when he was done. Masahiko got excited, before the man said he had to go. There were more demons hidden. Masahiko asked how many he had fought, and Kojiro gave a rough count on his fingers, using a form of counting Masahiko hadn't seen before. Thirty he had said. There were just a few more.

He went out again. He came back, and took Masahiko's resting spot once more. This time, when evening came, he let Masahiko use the blades, saying he needed a break anyways.

And then he was off.

The next morning, he didn't come back. Masahiko was heart broken.

The next morning, he still didn't come back. That evening Masahiko went looking. Unfortunately, he found the man inside a small house, his blades next to him. The house was covered in cuts, and smelled of death, sunlight and ash. Many demons had died it seemed like. Masahiko panicked, regathering the blades. A single demon dropped from the ceiling, trying to hit Masahiko with a rock. Masahiko managed to notice smell something unpleasant, and noticed last second, and dodged. He drew the blades and rushed against the small goblin like demon.

It was then that Masahiko learned a very important lesson... life was under no obligation to be fair, as he was backhanded through a window, and landed in a mass of crates. The demon came chasing after him, digging through barrel and crate after crate... but gave up after he couldn't find anyone.

Masahiko was now angry when he woke up... and very broken. He remembered the man's lesson, and as he healed, he practiced and practiced. He never could move elegant enough, or strong enough. Then he had a realization that the man only moved between breathes. Practicing his breathing, he took a day to do nothing but breath.

Then he chased after the goblin like demon once more. It took everything Masahiko had to kill the one little demon, but he did it, and retrieved Kojiro's Haori. It didn't fit, especially the sleeves. And it was fancier than anything Masahiko had ever worn. But Masahiko felt proud to wear it. The first man who'd really shown him kindness. Masahiko hadn't had much of a life before, so he was happy to give what he did have to repay the kindness with what he could: Vengeance.

After that, Masahiko found the corps, and signed up, passing the graduation exam. He found that if he acted like he knew what he was doing, nobody questioned it. Nobody knew him. Nobody knew he WASN'T important. Perfect.

Relationships:
N/A. Like most Shonen protagonists, Masahiko's an orphan.

Rank: Trainee

Haori Color: White & Purple

Nichirin Blade: A set of two kodachi, Masahiko alternates between them frequently in battle. He seldom has either one out, let alone both, relying on draw strokes. Every time he draws his blade, a breeze passes by, filled with illusory cherry blossoms. Both blades are deep shades of pink.

Part of the illusion comes from Masahiko perfuming his sheathes.... fairly heavily.

Enhance Sense: Smell

Rather than strength, the user forces on a myriad of slashes as they pass, almost like a gentle breeze. While users of this style seldom are able to kill a demon themselves, or at least with great difficulty, they tend to wear down demons fairly well.

Derived From: Wind

* First Form, Festival Bloom - The user falls beside an opponent when an opening is present, before peppering them with light cuts in several dozen slashes. The cuts are not deep, but cut in lattices in such a way that when a demons regeneration kicks in, it pushes up the wounds, forcing them to either slough flesh to finish the regeneration, or deal with scars that will slow their movements. This technique takes a lot out of the user.

Second Form, Shaded Rest - As a user is attacked, they quickly pull up and sheath one of their blades, riding an opponents weapon, or body part across the blade as they sheath, pinning it. They then unsheathe their second sword while an opponent's hand or weapon is pinned, for a sudden and violent slash.

* Third Form, Dancing Petals - the user taps an incoming blow, using the force to readjust themselves mid air to dodge like a petal in the wind.

Fourth Form, Petaled Ground - a series of rising strikes, the user makes several circular motions, unsheathing a blade in a cresent arc, spinning, resheathing, and switching blades, looking like a spinning blender. Rather than try to claim the head in a single blow, the user gives multiple.

Fifth Form, Withered Petals - a simple block with the blade out, the user uses an opponents strength against them, bracing and redirecting the force into a countered cut. This technique is simply as strong as the blow the user is hit with.

* Sixth Form, Wistful Petals- The user feints drawing a large overhead swing with one blade, before reverse drawing the other, and attempting to dash through an opponent in a single cutting motion.

Seventh Form, Spinning Petals -the strongest offensive technique, the user attempts to decapitate a demon through a series of strong stabs. Circling an opponent, the first blade is hurled through their neck straight from the front, before the second blade is driven in from the side. THe user grabs both, and pulls both blades out, attempting to decapitate an opponent. Against stronger opponents, the user will continue restabbing and pulling at the blades until the head comes loose.

DEMON INFORMATION CARD W.I.P

01cc7e2a0d6432ce9385459ce02cabcf.jpg

Name: Keijirō Kishimori

Age: 27 (Physical) || 100+ (Actual)

Height: 5'7'' | 170cm

Weight: 161lbs | 73kg (Approximately*)

Appearance: At first glance, Keijirō is an extremely well-built, yet unassuming-looking man of average proportions that take center stage of his appearance in the context of his status, flaunting a long mane of crimson hair that drapes all the way to the lower end of his back, many know him for the moniker 'Red Ogre' as they only get to see him with his back turned. He has two reddish horns that grow on each side of his head, a pair of thin golden eyes that seem perpetually confined and a self-satisfied expression that never seems to leave his face. He is rarely if not ever seen with proper attire, as he always dons the torn half of a traditional japanese garment; leaving his upper half completely exposed.

Despite his not so formidable appearance, Keijirō more often than not is described as imposing and awe-striking in the way he expresses himself.

Personality: Keijirō at first glance is everything but a demon, as he always has this polite, kind approach to every situation. As if it were all a mere friendly exchange with an acquaintance. He seems uninterested in killing and fighting, unless given a direct order by his lord to do so. Only accepting a one-sided duel if he sees that spark of motivation to decapitate him in his opponent, carrying out the battle and allowing them to live that fantasy as an act of respect from one warrior to another. Even so, the common mizunoto crazy enough to battle him have stories of how the upper moon one allowed them to walk away with only a minor slap on the wrist, expressing his forgiveness toward even the weakest enemy with a blunt dismissal, claiming they are not worthy to expire by his hand. This is merely his somewhat soft side showing through.

Keijirō is also rather indifferent to devouring regular humans, putting up the same 'unworthiness' excuse, though he has been seen consuming demon-slayers that have fought him under his master's order of execution. This he treats with the same approach as everything else; asking the demon slayer if they wish their body to be preserved for their families or not. In which case he will not devour their body. This altruistic, softhearted character of his is a side effect from his blood demon art. The façade breaks when the demon inside is released from its shackles.

He views the demon king as the core meaning of his existence, idolizing him with unmatched loyalty; following every order to a T. That is until the real demon within Keijirō is released, however. Once he's released, he could not care less about the demon king or anyone else, only finding interest in fighting for the sake of feeling something catching his fist; a mindless berserk.

Background W.I.P:
This is all subject to change

Keijirō Kishimori, from birth, was a sickly and frail man who, in spite of being plagued by constant ill and weaknesses, drove himself forward in the world of martial artists, getting over obstacles taller than himself due to his colossal thirst for strength. This search for power led him to a lonely life at the top, however. Backstabbers and rivals trying to take the crown of a man that grew weaker by the second, that was the dreaded tale of Kishimori Keijirō.

Years later he had to give up his spot at the top when his sickness got to a point of no return, that is when his students left him to rot. His own wife and kids would not even dare to look at him in the eyes now that he provided nothing but shame to the family. Even then, Keijirō did not blame them, as the roots of his love for the people who watched him grow ran deeper than his tragedy; he took all that disdain with the same perseverance. Sadly, the hands of fate wanted the unbreakable Kishimori torn to shreds. One rainy night, his entire dojo was attacked, nothing but its remains and the charred silhouettes of the people that once looked up to him. Of course, most of the blame was put on the former invincible man, Keijirō.

Once he finally had nothing else to cling to, Keijirō simply wandered to the north, never stopping to eat or sleep; only hoping he would eventually faint and join his students in the afterlife. Once he reached a desolate cave, he sat there for the upcoming days awaiting his death.

That is when someone came with an offer, a deal with the devil.

Rank: Upper Moon One

Blood Demon Art: Wrath of the Ashura

The user's true power is restricted by a mental strain that manifests in the form of crimson chains wrapped around their arm, formed by the user's blood. These chains gradually begin to crack as the user's inner rage steadily grows until reaching a breaking point in which the user's strength is augmented tremendously, as well as their regeneration factor.

This 'release' is characterized by the loss of Keijirous chains and his golden eyes now a blood red. Acquiring a great boost in strength, speed and sensory response that make the former extents of his restrained power pale in comparison. During this stage Keijirou appears to be but a shadow of his former self, displaying a merciless act of cruelty and arrogance to his opponents. The behavioral aspects in Keijirou are amplified depending on how strong his loathing is at the moment, sometimes showing no signs of coherence, resorting to animalistic grunts and screeches as he tears through everything in his path with the smile of a mad man.

When Keijirō releases, there is not a single demon lower in the hierarchy that can match him in terms of raw strength. On the other side of the spectrum, he is hardly at the same level of danger as the upper moon two when restrained.

天国の消滅-リュウ (Heaven Annihilation-ryū): Aside from being a proficient learner, capable of making crucial decisions in a flash, Keijirō is also a high skilled combatant in his own martial art. Destruction of the Heavens-Ryu, deriving from Taidō martial arts, using logistic forms of thinking and acrobatic movements; it's an all around martial art style consisting on flashy foot-work, devastating blows, fluid counters, rapid chokeholds and most importantly the usage of his excessive amount of strength. Focusing mostly on adaptability, applicability and above all being quite the sight to behold. Made up of no katas at all, formless and usable under any situation, only based upon certain principles and patterns.

Armed with countless years of experience and training in his martial art style, calling him the demon king's right hand man would be an understatement; Keijirō is Misuna's grim reaper.

Known Principles/Moves:

° Fumetsu - 不滅 (Immortal) - The user hardens every muscle in their body the instant an attack is about to land, allowing them to effectively have the perfect guard whilst keeping the same mobility. Allows for defense against attacks that would otherwise prove to be fatal, acting as an unorthodox trap that engraves the demon slayer's nichirin into Keijirō's body, essentially disarming any unsuspecting foe.

° Kakusei - 覚醒 (Awakening) - The user momentarily inhibits their five senses and instead relies only on sheer foresight, perfectly predicting the opponent's next move through a mental image of the battle that would play out, allowing them to stay two steps ahead of the fight.

° Shi no haaku - 死の把握 (Death's Grasp) - The user sidesteps out of the way of an attack, dashing towards the enemy and coiling around them in a reverse chokehold with only four fingers at their throat. The moment the opponent tries to free themselves from the user, their own momentum will be used against them as the user will inch forward; decapitating the opponent due to the amount of strength behind Keijirō's hold.

° Kyomu - 虚無 (Nothingness) - The essence behind this technique lies behind the principle of "Becoming nothing, untouchable". The user clears his mind and moves without the help of their muscles, relying on the slightest of movements to shift their center of mass knowing that an attack is to come, requiring perfect timing and coordination. This gives the illusion in the opponent's eyes that the attack was too far away to even reach Keijirō, or that he was suddenly pulled away from the attack. In reality, Keijirō remains at point blank range from the opponent.

° Chi no umi - 血の海 (Sea of blood) - The user takes ahold of the opponent with one hand, grabbing them by the shoulder and brutally hurling them into the ground for a gruesome display.

° Musaboru - 貪る (Devour) - The user feints a strike before taking the opponent off balance with one clean swipe to the legs, delivering one last strike to the side of the opponent's head as they fall.

° Shikkō - 執行 (Execution) - The user waits for the opponent to blink before dashing into them and embedding their hand into their chest, pushing it inwards in an attempt to stop their heart.

° Kami Koroshi - 神殺し (God Killer) - Keijirō clenches every muscle in his body, slightly arching backwards before driving all that pent up strength into a fist that flies forward with such force that it breaks the sound barrier, sending forth a wave of heat that destroys everything in its path. A killer move at point blank range, this is mostly used to deal with enemies that are far away.

° Kenshiki no henka - 景色の変化 (Change of scenery) - The user leaps over the opponent's attack in one swift motion, delivering a paralyzing blow to the back of the neck before landing behind them.

° Senzaiichigū no shi - 千載一遇の死 (Die a thousand deaths) - This has no form whatsoever, Keijirō delivers countless blows meant to pummel the opponent to a red paste, the wrath of a thousand suns behind each hit.

DEMON INFORMATION CARD

1628400938671.png

Name: Tsubame Suzume

Age: 119 years (Will change to be correct, was a prototype demon, so one of the earlier ones)

Height: 6'6

Weight: 180 lbs

Personality: Tsubame is a cheerful demon, she is always smiling and playful with her prey. Despite that, she is extremely efficient, always abiding by hit and run tactics, and never wasting time on what she feels is a useless hunt. If she's chatting with you, it's because she feels the fight is already over. While not very strong, and very bird brained, Tsubame's style of hit and run makes her difficult to track down, and despite her power level, she's survived a very long time.

Background: Like a mouse caught by an owl, a forgotten teenage girl sat watching the moon when a monster spirited her away, grabbing her off the roof, and dragging her to a cave.

Tsubame has long forgotten her orginal name. She vaguely remembers she was a gossiper, and everyone in the city had been talking about the disappearances at night. Tsubame was a rich girl, and was in the center of the city, so she assumed she was safe as long as the guards did their job. She woke up chained to one such guard. It was a pity he was missing his head, that certainly freaked her out.

Tsubame heard crunching and chewing in the distance when a monster in a scientist's coat approached her. She gulped, but was surprisingly brave.

"Nice reaction... This one will do...If you wish to survive, drink some of my blood."

And so she was turned. Tsubame was never very powerful. Never allowed in the inner courts... but always present. She was one of the first demons, before the process was completely successful. A prototype, she's never been the main project, but has managed to survive since the early days.

She just wanted to live, and that made her a dangerous moon. She'd never kill many people, but she was always a persistent threat in the night. Never the scene of a massacre, but always the culprit of the unseen murders.

She would fly, snagging dreamers staring at the moon, envious that they were still mesmorized by it.

Relationships:

Other moons, she's too low to be noticed by upper moons, but loves to tease other lower moons.

Rank: Lower Moon #2

Blood Demon Art: Feathers of the Harpy - Tsubame's has a variety of bird related powers, making her very agile, and difficult to land a solid blow on. What she lacks in power, she makes up for in surviveability.

* Owl's Bristles - Tsubame's most dangerous, yet unremarkable ability is her power to fly completely silent, letting her pick off civilians without being spotted, or seemingly strike from blind angles in a rare fight.

* Raptor's Talons - Tsubame's talon's on her feet are very hard, able to block nichirin blades, and dig deep into an enemies flesh like a sword. When she fights, it's generally a flurry of kicks from above as she floats over an opponent.

* Peregrine Dive - A technique where Tsubame folds her wings midflight, before going for a burst of speed, seemingly disappearing in a blur of motion, her speed enough to disorient even experienced demon slayers. Often Tsubame uses this disorientation to try and steal shiney things... like Nichirin blades.

* Peacock Molt - A defensive technique, when struck across the wings, Tsubame can molt her feathers, causing a blade to bounce off in a rainstorm of feathers, letting Tsubame escape in a quick dive away.

* Eagle's Beak - Sharpened teeth from Tsubame can dig through flesh like hot butter, or stop incoming blades aimed for her neck with a bite.

* Enclosing wings - Taking advantage of her healing body, Tsubame lands on an opponent, enfolding her wings over them so they can't gain momentum or strength to properly decapitate them. She generally follows up with a flurry of bites and kicks. Against a single demon slayer, it can be devastating as they can't muster enough force to injure her while in the cage of her wings. Avoiding the cage or backup is the best defense.

Other: Carries 11 herbs and spices on her body at all times.

Misayo.pngName:
Misayo Sadaharu

Age:
12

Height:
4'5

Weight:
106 lbs

Appearance:
Dark blue hair that hangs over his eyes, his eyes are a bright red, almost rose-like color. He's kind of short, but his shoulders are slightly broad. His legs are what truly add to his height however. When he's not wearing his uniform, he can be found in a simple robe, still wearing his haori. (Pic coming soon)

Personality:
He gets along with anyone, but teamwork can only go so far when you're using the air to your advantage and flames create smoke, getting rid of your greatest tool... He can work well in any team setting, and makes friends very easily. He doesn't seek people out, and can sometimes befriend the wrong types, but he still tries to be nice when he can. He feels a strange sympathy for demons, which sometimes that leads to someone getting hurt or killed. He feels guilty for a lot of the things that happen around him, and tries to take responsibility even if it's not really his fault, just to spare whoever it was who really did whatever it was.

Background:
Misayo was always a small child, but he's fast. Faster than anyone his age, he continued to train with what he was good at to destroy the creatures that inhabit the world and do what they want, both humans and demons alike. He doesn't have a very strong sense of justice however, so his mind is easily changed, but it's more or less is derived from his fathers hate of demons. Living a normally happy life, Misayo just decided he wanted to be a demon slayer, so most of his life was training. He's not very strong, but is still strong enough to wield his sword. His swings are weaker than his thrusts, so he tries to work that out. He doesn't breathe quickly at all, so he doesn't need as much air as most people, and can hold his breathe for 8 minutes straight, give or take a few seconds.

Relationships:
He's always been a friendly guy, making friends easily though he doesn't seek them out. His parents are both alive as far as he knows, back at his protected home. (What he doesn't know is that a demon got in and killed his mother and several others that lived nearby.) He distances himself from his family, and has no contact with them since they're believers of old-style communication.

Rank:
Trainee

Haori Color:
Pitch black, seemingly dark enough to even absorb light, though it fades to transparency towards the bottom.

Nichirin Blade:
Misayo's Nichirin blade is slightly abnormal as it is longer than the average katana and curves slightly (masamune). The metal itself is seemingly transparent, while the guard is rather boring, the standard style guard for a masamune. The cloth over the guard is black, but the polished wood underneath that peeks through in some areas is a dull blue color. (Pic coming soon)

Breathing style:
Breath of Oxygen

Derived from:
Wind breathing

Forms:
*1st Form: Cruel Laceration- An average powered slash that quite literally cuts through air, separating it for a short amount of time. (about 5 seconds before it refills the area)
*2nd Form: Stunning Zephyr- A calm slice that severs most non-organic materials with ease, though its slow and unable to cut into living creatures, including demons. (Though their summons, similar to Enmu's tentacles or Doma's children can be cut through)
*3rd Form: Breath Bond- A straightforward thrust that intends to pierce and pin anything it can come in contact with.
4th Form: Emphasis Blast- A rising cut that, when embedded into the target, is quickly turned to jolt out from the side.
5th Form: Circulating Breeze- Spinning the blade multiple times,
6th Form: Dry Atmosphere- Upon thrusting the blade into the ground, air seems to come rushing around the user, making a powerful aura where within 2 feet outside of said aura, there is no oxygen.
*7th Form: Chance Puff- When in mid-air, the user can redirect themselves with a thrust towards where they wish to go. It doesn't always work though, hence the chance part of it.
8th Form: Ozone Speculation- Launching the user into the air, the air itself is sliced, creating a rift where everything is instantly pulled to fill the empty spot. Misayo tends to use this as an opportunity to cut as he falls back down.
9th Form: Heaven's Ripple- A series of slashes that, though they are shallow, they slow demon regeneration within the air that was cut in the process.
10th Form: Air Annihilation- The user spins their sword very quickly around their body, fast enough to begin pulling the oxygen all around them, towards the rotating weapon. It easily cuts through everything that gets pulled due to its very high speeds.

They seem rather Silent most times, in fact, haven't talked once. Though, even because of this, don't think they're soft! Nope! They constantly pull pranks on villages, cities, and even Demon slayers! They haven't become a corps member yet, as they pull pranks more than actual training.

Background:
Kuma grew up in a village, one far out in the woods. He constantly goes outside of the barrier, practice fighting, And sometimes spend the night out there. At the age of ten, he decided he wanted to join the demon slayer corps so that became his mission. Despite being so young, he had actually fought a demon in the past ( And almost died) At the age of twelve, he was quite happy to receive his sword, and Haori.

    Name:
    Hamada Tetsuo

    Age:
    16

    Height:
    5'8

    Weight:
    145 lbs

    Appearance:
A fair-skinned teenager Tetsuo, the only stand-out facial features are the beauty mark under his left eye and a scar running from the bridge of his nose down to his right cheek. While not an important detail his hands are scarred and callous from the immense amount of training he does. Though he is noticeably well built for his age.

    Personality:
Tetsuo very easily blends into the many members of the demon slayer corps. He can be seen as quiet and submissive, usually keeping to himself and not bothering others. Despite this quiet nature, Tetsuo is a very driven and passionate person, sure he doesn't scream to the top of his lungs when pumped up about something, but a notable sparkle can be seen in his otherwise dull eyes.

He can also be self-conscious at times, especially when he's comparing himself to other stronger demon slayers.

    Background:
Back in the age of the samurai, the Hamada clan was well-known swordsmen and warriors, specifically for their ferocity and tenacity. Though as the age of blades came to an end, so too did the family seem to fade. After that, the Hamada clan lived in a secluded area in the Kanto region unknowingly to the rest of Japan the Hamada estate came under the control of an "immortal ruler", a demon named Hamada Yuudai a member of the clan who became a demon to obtain immortality. Using his descendants as test subjects and toys in order to fuel his thirst for combat.

Tetsuo was born into this environment as Yuudai's great grandson. And from the moment he could remember his life was a living hell, day in and day out of intense "training" where only the strong would survive. Sibling was pitted against sibling and kin slew kin all in Yuudai's hope of creating a worthy opponent. At 12 Tetsuo had enough and on one faithful night, sneaking out and abandoning his "home" and while on his way out he managed to steal Yuudai's Nichirin Nodachi. Tetsuo went to the only place he knew he'd be safe, the Demon Slayers which he would join, eventually becoming a corps member and creating his own style of breathing based on Iaijutsu.

    Relationships:
    Hamada Yuudai (Great Grandfather)
(If anyone would like to have and sort of relationship or plot with Tetsuo let me know!)

    Rank:
    Corps Member

    Haori Color:
    Dark blue, rather standard-looking haori.

    Nichirin Blade:
A slightly smaller Katana, the blade is a standard nichirin black (The one on the bottom). It is attached to his hip
Yuudai's Nichirin Nodachi which Tetsuo rarely uses, it's one grey blade is now stained red with blood. It is attached to his back.

    Breathing style:
    Iaijutsu
~ "Self taught" style, derived from the sword style of the same name, Iaijutsu is a primarily defensive breathing style focusing on parrying and powerful counter attacts. With the first form leading into the rest. This style is a high-risk high reward as it requires the user to make precise, pinpoint, and nearly perfect movements when parrying an opponent (Especially from a demon). And while this style is heavily defensive it barely has any offensive or aggressive forms.

    Derived from:
    Thunder

    Forms:
    * = able to use

*1st parry ~ The user sheaths their blade, anticipating an attack. When in range the user quickly unsheathing their blade as it becomes a blur, the sword strikes the opponent's attack creating a bright flash of light. It has enough force to knock an opponent off balance and leave them open to attack.

*2nd counter ~ The user raises their sword in the air to deliver a devastating overhead slash. While not designed to decapitate an opponent it is used to deal heavy damage.

*3rd counter ~ Leaping over the opponent the user quickly spins around letting the momentum carry their blade and slice through the neck of a demon.

*4th counter ~ The user quickly jumps backwards doing a backflip as they do it, and while in the process they quickly slash at the opponent usually aiming for vital points (mostly the eyes). This is usually used to create space between the user and their opponent.

*5th counter ~ With their offhand the user delivers a powerful palm strike with enough force to knock back their opponent. While it might not do a lot of damage it does create space between the user and their opponent.

*6th counter ~ The user quickly dashes forward at incredible speeds, they then deliver a quick diagonal slash. Mainly used to close ground between the user and their opponent, highly effective against ranged opponents.

*7th counter ~ One of the few offensive counters as it is more of a preemptive strike. The user prepares just like the 1st parry, though before the opponent can reach them the user unsheaths their blade and strikes at incredible speeds. A risky form but still a good mixup.

    8th counter ~ ???

    9th counter ~ ???

    10th counter ~ ???

    Keen sense:
    Sight

    Other:
~Tetsuo's keen sight is what allows him to parry opponents, even one which the naked eye can barely register.
~ Tetsuo is surprisingly talented at total concentration breathing and picked it up quickly during his early years.
~ The Iaijutsu breathing style is more effective against opponents using weapons as its easier to parry a sword compared to a claw. Not to mention Tetsuo made it to specifically fight Yuudai.

    Kaori Asuna
    Age:
    19
    Height:
    5'2"
    Weight:
    132lbs
    Appearance:
A short woman with a neat hourglass figure, she has fair skin that's impressively almost blemish free. There is of course the large scar that starts at the upper corner of her left eye and ends at the bottom of her right cheek. Her eyes are a pale golden yellow that almost matches her Haori, her hair is brown and always kept short for the sake of battle.
    Personality:
Kaori is often a passive woman, quite and not going out of her way to get pulled into drama with her fellow demon slayers. She's often the voice of reason, doing her best to keep things calm. But that doesn't mean she's a stuck in the mud, she enjoys having fun and has a decent sense of humor. Not to mention, it's easy to fluster her when it comes to certain personal topics. It's easy to get along with Kaori, but she's not a pushover either. After all, not only is she a demon slayer, but her sister Rumi raised her. When it comes down to it, there are situations where she holds nothing back. Kaori doesn't yell, nor does she even tend to raise her voice but... she's oddly talented when it comes to threats.

In combat she's calm and collected, daily losing her cool or letting emotions get in the way of her battles. But she's only human, and has occasionally slipped up.
    Background:
Kaori was born on the road actually. Her parents were traveling merchants, working through one of the mountain regions of Japan. So in turn, Kaori was mostly raised.on the road with Rumi. To her knowledge, they didn't actually have a home. Her parents would go from one town to sell goods, buy more in said town, then move off to sell their new wares. They had an agreement with a few shops here and there throughout the country. When Kaori was four, her sister left after having a fight with their parents. Her sister had huge ambitions, wanting to join the Demon Slayers. Their parents were against it, and refused to even supply Rumi for the long trip ahead of her. Not that it would matter. Shortly after Rumi left, their parents were attacked by a demon. Kaori isn't sure what happened, she was so young but...at the same time, her mother threw off a cliff. An attempt to save her life.

Thankfully it worked, and while Kaori didn't walk away unscathed, she was still alive. After two days wandering in the forrest, a mysterious woman found her. The woman ensured Kaori everything would be alright, she was gentle. Kaori doesn't remember much else about her other than her eyes...they were odd. They traveled at night, the woman explaining she was very sensitive to sunlight, but that Kaori didn't need to worry. It didn't take too long for them to find a town, and the woman said goodbye, leaving Kaori with a local doctor. For a few months, Kaori was under that doctor's care, a man named Eiji Oze. He was kind enough and kept her fed, tended to her wounds, and made sure to put in some effort into finding her family. But he wouldn't need to look for very long. Shortly after Kaori turned 5, a small group of demon slayers moved in to deal with a low-level causing some trouble in the area. Among them was Rumi Asuna and her mentor, the former Wind Master.

Their reunion was both happy and a bit tense. It was made clear that Rumi was her only remaining family, and she had no choice but to take care of Kaori. Thankfully, Rumi's mentor agreed to help her and should anything happen to Rumi during her training and he would take her in. It took a total of two years for Rumi to finish her training, and once she had and soon after became a full fledged member of the Demon Slayers, Rumi had to balance raising Kaori and of course her new responsibilities as a demon slayer. It was hard to balance at first, but Rumi did her best. This is part of the reason Kaori is so easy to get along with now, she wanted to make things as easy on Rumi as possible. She learned how to cook, clean, do laundry, everything she possible could to help Rumi. So it only made sense that when she got a little older Kaori wanted to join the Demon Slayers.

At first, Rumi was against it, she didn't want Kaori to live that kind of life. But...at the same time, Rumi didn't want to make the same mistake their parents had. So she agreed on the condition she waited until she was 12. Kaori could do that, and the day of her birthday, Rumi took Kaori to meet some of the master's. Rumi would prefer that Kaori trained under the same master she had but instead, Kaori was drawn to the Thunder Master. Rumi couldn't convince her otherwise. And so began Kaori's training period. What was expected to take two years only took one and a half. When enlistment day came, Kaori was beyond excited and Rumi was as proud as she could be. It went well, and soon enough, Kaori had received her first mission. She has since, over the last five years, built up a rather decent reputation. Her sister of course is well known, but Kaori is respected in her own right.
    Relationships:
Rumi Asuna - Rumi is Kaori's older sister, and basically the woman who raised her. At least, Rumi did her best and Kaori regards her very highly. But, she's still sometimes rather embarrassed by her and hates the fact Rumi likes to drag her into a variety of situations Kaori absolutely hates.
Aimi Asuna - Kaori's mother, missing and presumed dead
Ryu Asuna - Kaori's father, missing and presumed dead

    * Second Form: Rice Spirit - The user unleashes up to five slashes of arching lightening. Can either be unleashed in the same direction, or the the user can move while attacking with a slight drop in damage
    * Third Form: Thunder Swarm - The user surrounds the enemy with waves of arched lightning and attacks them from all directions.
    * Fourth Form: Distant Thunder - The user generates a ball of electricity that releases waves of strong multi-directional lightning bolts from afar. Can be paired with Thunderclap and Flash for a deadly flanking attack.
    * Fifth Form: Heat Lightning - The user
unleashes a long-ranged upward sword slash made of lightning.
Sixth Form: Rumble and Flash - The user releases a series of powerful long-ranged lightning attacks that strike his opponent from afar.

    Enhanced Sense: Eyesight

    - She was present when her sisters right eye was burned

Even height-wise, she's fairly average. These traits do not dull her blade or her deep-seated hatred for demons any, however.

Personality:
Takeda is normally a shy young lady who seems to somehow be able to fulfil the duties of both a wallflower and a doormat. She is easily pushed around by her peers and even juniors, and she makes no attempt to assert herself. She's a bit of a reclusive hermit who keeps to herself and devotes herself to training and honing her skills rather than engage in any social interactions. She stammers a lot, and stumbles over her words, and is generally wholly incompetent when it comes to talking to people, worrying over every word she says.

When confronted with a demon or the idea of a demon, however, her personality takes a frightening turn. She becomes more assertive and no-nonsense, and pursues the death of her demon quarry, no matter what gets in her way. She has proven over time that this side of her is more than willing to cut down her own comrades who get in her way of her eternal vengeance. Where her other personality seems to simply let others walk over her, this one has no qualms about butting heads and clashing with anyone. This side of her doesn't have much in the way of social ability either. Cold and aloof, she doesn't much care for anyone.

Background:
Known only by one name, Takeda has no family to speak of, and keeps to herself most of the time, either training, meditating, or practicing poetry. She...wasn't always like this. Once, she had a father who smithed, in her eyes, the greatest swords she ever laid her eyes on. She had another name once too, and she had friends, and she had moments of happiness, even if they didn't live very well. She lost all of that when things took a turn for the worse. She witnessed the death of her father at the hands of a monster, and yet when she told this to her neighbours, they simply refused to believe her. She must have been imagining things. She must have gone delusional after losing her father, the poor thing. Unable to trust anyone, she set off on her own to find proof of this demon, taking along her father's final masterpiece- a shirasaya katana.

She fought, and killed, and fought, and killed, and fought some more, and killed some more. When the Demon Slayer Corps finally found her demon, she had killed it so many times, it was begging for death, while she stood above it, bearing a most stoic expression. No sooner was she taken under the Demon Slayer Corps' protection, however, she fell into a blubbering mess. Her form and style were similar to the Thunder Breathing style, and it was not too hard for her to get used to it. Giving her all to slaying demons, she cast away her own name, keeping her family's, for it was one of the few ways she could honor her father.

Takeda rose through the ranks by virtue of her bloodlust and skills. Though she was seen as both the agoraphobic, socially inept wallflower, as well as the cold and aloof killer of demons, there was no denying that she was a master of one of the hardest schools of breathing techniques, and her desire to kill was not left wanting. Eventually, she took the place of the Thunder Hashira. Not much has changed for her ever since- she kills, and that's all she will keep doing.

Relationships:
Everyone in General: She doesn't really get along with anyone, including the other Hashira. Her mouse-like attitude, and unwillingness to participate in any conversations with any more than an unwarranted apology or a half-hearted suggestion makes her genuinely difficult to converse with. Her other personality doesn't seem to make it any easier either, being the misanthrope that she is.

Rank:
Hashira

Haori Color:
Red with dark blue trims and flowers embroidered on the sleeves.

Nichirin Blade:
A simple shirasaya katana with no furnishings or even a guard. The blade turns a blazing gold colour when held by her.

Breathing style:
Thunder Breathing

Derived from:
Sun Breathing

Forms:
Due to the wiki not possessing the proper forms of Thunder Breathing, Form 2 through 6 are accomplishable variants of the attacks that the second Thunder Breathing swordsman uses, while Forms 1.2 and 7 are Takeda's own.

First Form: Thunderclap and Flash
The user unsheathes their katana, dashes forward at blinding speeds and decapitates their opponent faster than they can react before sheathing it back. This technique is extremely reminiscent of Iaijutsu and its movements are described to be akin to "lightning ripping through the air".

The basis of Thunder Breathing, Takeda is well-versed in it. She occasionally uses a variant of it, wielding and drawing her sword with a reverse grip instead of a normal grip.

First Form: Thunder Call and Echo
A variant of the First Form created by Takesa, used defensively and to counterattack. By removing the forward dash, Takeda can stay in place and parry an oncoming attack with a draw from a sheathed position, countering, then returning the sword back to its sheathe.

Second Form: Rice Spirit
The user releases five successive lighting-fast slashes in various angles from a sheathed position then returns the sword to its sheathe, overwhelming an opponent's defense by making them simply unable to block five attacks at that speed, and at the different angles.

Third Form: Thunder Swarm
The user dashes around the opponent, releasing several quick draw slashes at various points. At fast enough speeds, the opponent may not even be able to perceive a slash until the next one looks like it's descending upon them.

Fourth Form: Thunder Reign
The user performs multiple stabs at an opponent with rapid succession.

Fifth Form: Heat Lightning
The user performs upward sword slash from a sheathed position that aims for the opponent's weak point in their defense. This attack is usually used to disarm or break a standstill.

Sixth Form: Rumble and Flash
The user slashes forwards from an unsheathed position, then leaps backwards to obtain some distance from the opponent. It can be combined with Thunderclap and Flash to catch an opponent off guard if used consecutively.

Seventh Form: Swallow's Path
A move created by Takeda herself, incorporating the basics of Thunder Breathing as a whole. She dashes forwards at blinding speeds, striking the opponent with three swirling strokes that resemble a swallow's flight, aimed at the head, right arm, and left leg.

Other:
Takeda practices poetry, and has, on multiple occasions, been said to recite poems as eulogies or, perhaps, a death knell.

Rank:
Hashira
