he quickly runs at the wall before concentrating.
"combustion breathing forth form ; land mine!"
he says causing an explosion to blow up the wall getting him launched outside of the infermary and into the main arena where the fights and the crowd were.
"alright you damn bastard , im going to cut your heads off you worthless monsters!"

ryuji suddently dashes at one of the demons before slashing at it ,the slash is followed by an exposion pushing the sword foreward at mach speed.
ryuji stands there for a second , before grabbing his sword again and clutching it in his hands.

Yeah, he was in a bit of a sticky situation. As Ko was looking around, unbothered by the demons around him, he suddenly took notice of a few too many Demon Slayers for comfort.

A brief moment later, he spotted a fairly disfigured demon, one that rarely looked humanoid, most likely from eating way too many humans in one night, eyeing his blood bag. Upon taking note of the lurker, Ko decided to go out on a limb and have some fun, so he immediately slurped down the remaining contents, then threw the bag that had been licked clean to the demon. It immediately went crazy trying to get any last drop out of the bag before giving up and going after someone else. It wasn’t his business what the demon was going to do, but then again, it wasn’t like he was innocent, either. In fact, he had been eavesdropping on conversations held by the Demon Slayers that had appeared since he took notice of them.

Many were calling for their weapons to be delivered. A female who was talking with another phoned a friend. A male spoke to a demon, which cued many questions. ‘The boss…’ said the demon he was referring to, which was surprising, because it seemed like all of these demons were just hungry babies, those newly transformed with nothing but a lust for blood.

Maybe there really was something going on here…

Even more so, the male attacking the demon was called a demon, by the demon, multiple times. As he continued to listen, he heard the man team up. He was teaming up with a Demon Slayer? The very kind that was out to kill him mercilessly?

Something really is going on here, and it’s not something that Ko wants to get himself involved in. The logical explanation would be Ex-Slayers helping their former kind out, but that still raises questions. How much discipline do these guys have? Surely, it has to be a hell of a lot to be able to refrain from eating their ‘partners’. That, or maybe they’ve found other techniques or have irregularities, like him. If so, he’d love to learn more about that. It’d be one hell of a story. That, or it’d be useful. Hopefully it’s the former, in Ko’s opinion.

In the end, the boy decided to leave. Right as he was about to make his great escape, however, someone came busting out of the wall next to him. It was, go figure, the last thing he wanted to see. A demon slayer, who would definitely come for his head the second his cover was blown. He immediately began walking towards the exit, in the opposite direction of the Slayer who was passionately beheading the blood-thirsty behemoths. He recognized his voice. The one that was assisting the demon serving as a Demon Slayer. It still didn’t make sense. Regardless, he opened the door and saw, you guessed it, another Demon Slayer. He really should have listened first. Something was different here, though. He… he smelled like a demon. There was no way in hell he was human, either. What is going on here?

Between demons partnering with slayers, demons partnering with demons, and the immensely large number of casualties, there was no way this was going to end well for him, or anyone else involved. Things were getting serious, and he should have just gone home. He would have been a solid kilometer or two away from here already!

He stood there for a moment, getting the shock out of his system, before running out and into another door. There, he looked down both halls, surveyed his options, and decided to go left rather than run into the strange demon man that was also currently trying to get the very same kind of sword that can kill him with a single slice.

Finally, he found an exit door. Of course, outside of it was a car full of weapons. Nichirn weapons. Not good. He rather opted to run back inside and try to find an exit from there. Preferably, one that wouldn’t lead him to impending doom.

Back inside he went, and then he opened a new door to find himself… back in the Arena’s center. He sucked it up and walked back in to try and find a clearer way out. Preferably, he wanted to leave the arena alive, and not by getting his head chopped off.

He should have gone home in the first place.

It was only a matter of time before Luigi was slowly losing to Doc Kobayashi. Well, it seemed so at first but barely. He sustained some minor injuries solely from trying to fight and defeat him but it got worse.

Also, he heard a strange and untranslatable growl from him but he just shrugged it off as if it was nothing to him, much to his obliviousness. So to make the table turn in his favor, he decided to try the same special attack against Doc Kobayashi again, this time he attempted to do it from behind, hopefully catching him off-guard. The outcome?

Doctor Kobayashi didn't expect him to attack so quickly. when Luigi did however this surprised him as he threw a kick at him. at first Kobayashi blocked the kick but he felt a sting in his wrist causing him to recoil and launch himself back creating a great distance between them....he looked down at his now handless wrist and back near Luigi's foot. there lied his severede hand. with a growl he used his other hand to create a tear seemingly before stepping through however it only put him in the middle of the satdium catching the attention of several demons and causing them to sprint towards him.

Malina, seeing Luigi was attack her lover, she through a ball of fire at near his foot before jumping down from the 2nd floor stands to meet luigi face to face. she landed down in front of him smoking from her pipe.

Malina: "You gotta lot of nerve to attack Kobayashi..."

When a female stranger, Malina, threw a ball of fire near Luigi's foot in Kobayashi's defense, it caused him to trip and fall, getting a bit injured in the process. She then appeared face-to-face in front of him, scaring him a little. "Why are you standing in my way? Can't you see I'm trying to kill that demon over there? Wait, don't tell me you're a demon too!" Luigi said in frustration, struggling to get himself back up.

HEATH DISABATINO
  • “You know what'll always disappoint in the long run? A good first impression. A good exit on the other hand, doesn't care. It'll never fail to get your foot out the door."

Bonehead. Heath put a hand over his heart. Both jaws spread open, forming a little 'o' in mock offense. His eyes widened, first at the boy and then at Valerie, as if admonishingly staring down a mother for not controlling her child. Did you just hear that, Sharon?

So, the baby pizza demon slayer had a name. "Fang," Heath tasted the word aloud, then shook his head. "No, no. These---" he knocked against his demonized jawbone like hollowed wood. "---are fangs. You, on the other hand..." Fixing against the boy's smouldering glare, the pretend hurt no more, a ghost of satisfaction tugged at the corners of the demon's lips. "...you're no fang. Yours have hardly begun to set in. Still teething on things you shouldn't be. But, the pleasure's all mine anyhow. Welcome aboard, Baby-Tooth."

Feeling a sense of accomplishment for getting all the pleasantries out of the way, Heath turned towards Valerie. It snapped up as quickly as a mouse-trap, but there, in the corner of his eye, he caught the last embers of a sister's grief, interwoven with the dawning realization that of all creatures, it was a demon who shared in it and who believed in her mission the most. Yet there was still the wall that needed to be scaled. Despite expecting this type of questioning from Viktor's sister for weeks now, Heath could not help but let his composure slip. Maybe it was because they were more accusation than questions. Maybe it was because the struggle of trust was not his choice to break in the first place. Or maybe it was because of that bridge of self-importance.

"Get rid of you? A ploy?" Heath's eyes narrowed, the word slowly dragged out by its hindlegs. Holding a grudge was like a second death, because it was no way to live. Courtesy of Madame Chi. But she was right. Grudges wouldn't help him in getting the life he had before, or help Viktor now. In a voice that was subdued but steel-edged, he continued, leaning in once more. "Doll. Do me a favor, and get over yourself."

Unamused and feeling stabby, was her answer to that. Well goody, so was he. The only mistake Viktor had made in that mission was listen to a less-experienced partner. He never should have agreed to split up and cover more ground. They should have stayed and faced the ambush together. Or, whispered the treacherous little seed of guilt within. Should he have never listened? Or should you have never left?

I can't hear you, went his snappy response. You rarely do, sighed his conscience. No really, Heath raised and placed a finger in his ear. Speak up. There's a gunshot and screaming humans in the background.

    Wait. Oh shit.

Before he knew it, his sword was flying back towards him. Catching it in time with first few steps he took towards the VIP booth windows, the unfolding pandemonium below set Heath's heart hammering, eyes drinking in one bloodbath after another. Hundreds of freshly-turned leapt onto their new dinners, butchering and guzzling scores of flesh to satiate a new master of tournament and appetite. A cross between loathsome familiarity and morbid curiosity illuminated Heath's features as he assessed the situation. Such a phenomenon, according to both his demon and stilted human memory, had never happened before. The crowds were simply in shambles, but mapping out the most efficient pathway out was worth a try either way.

Deal? Like a dog finally rewarded its treat, Heath's head snapped towards Valerie, eyes glittering with newfound alertness and energy. They imbued themselves into the leap he made towards the door, and bolted out his leg once he struck against it. Landing with a resounding thud, Heath followed in Valerie's footsteps. In a moment of breathless yet subtle intensity, he raised his sword, aiming at Fang.

"Yeah, yeah. Let's see what you've got, Baby-Tooth."

Throwing the hood of his cloak back on, Heath turned back to the hallway. It was clear of the penguin suits, who were no doubt flapping their wings valiantly but uselessly against this new type of predator. Heath skidded towards the stairways exit, forgetting to mind his demonic strength again as a resounding shriek, crack, and thump reverberated across the stairwell. Heath swung his head in, meeting the cowering, bleeding, terrified face of that same intern he met in the elevator. She had squished herself against the wall, eyes glued to the railing, as if something had been right there but wasn't anymore. Heath looked over the rail. Sure enough, the force of the door had sent a freshly-turned, writhing penguin suit bodyguard to the bottom of the stairwell.

"First the elevator, now this," Heath shook his head, almost in annoyance. "Some god up there must really hate you. Or love you, because that was incredibly lucky."

The girl didn't say anything back, a fearful tear sliding down her face as a hand fluttered to the bleeding gash on her collarbone. Clicking his tongue, Heath rapidly ripped a piece of white cloth from his cloak and handed it to her. "You had the right idea, being chased and coming up here. Find a room, lock yourself in and don't come out."

Nodding, the girl slinked past him and into the opposite direction, whispering something under her breath. Once again, Heath felt himself lean in to try and hear it, but to no avail. For some reason though, there was no need for him to hear. In more ways than one, it did the trick. For a moment, he felt entirely human.

    You're welcome.

Luigi was right all along, Malina transformed into her demonic form and the mildly injured Doc Kobayashi was on the slippery slope to winning the battle against various threats to protect his daughter. To make matters worse, Malina attempted to perform a deadly attack against Luigi, prompting him to take action fast. "Not on my watch!" he shouted as he attempted to block her attack with his nichirin, waiting for the outcome.

The flame had connected with the blade was blocked however this caused the sword to glow a bright red colar and heat up. although the hilt remained it's normal temprature the blade was useless when heated up to a near melting point. this caused malina to taunt the slayer by taking a drag from her pipe watching him

Malina: "Ya know next time ya face me make sure you bring a more tougher metal" her body began to glow as it let out a small wave of heat. this heat was summer hot almost impossible to breath. she made a dash at him and reared her arm back to stab him in the side if he wasn't focused this would seriously injure the poor slayer.

all the while doctor Kobayashi had been fighting for quite sometime he had become exhausted and began running form the demons even turning back to smack them away

Luigi wouldn't see this coming as his nichirin blade intensely heated up, causing him to drop it to stop the pain from occurring any further and the heat coming from Malina was so insanely hot that he couldn't breathe at least once, causing him to lose focus. She even tried to attack him by stabbing him in the side but he narrowly dodged it only for his left arm to get stabbed instead. "How are you this powerful? This can't be happening!" he said as he struggled to catch his breath.

Each syllable of the humdrum nickname this devil made for him coalesced in his mind: Baby-tooth. Fang’s crossed arms parsed to mime a very dry and curt laugh, but there was no humor in it; he sounded more like a rusty hinge creaking open. He cooked his head to the side, unable to stomach eye contact with the blue numbskull. “Haw, haw… I hope your fighting skills are better than your stand-up,” Fang spat, his words edged with childish contempt. A smug grin pulled at the edge of his lips, breaking the annoyed wall-pointed glare for but a twinkling. Bonehead is a way funnier nickname.

Idly, he buried himself in his seat while the bone-plated devil and businesswoman tested one another. The gall of this man truly knew no limits. Fang bit down, knowing it was not yet his place to advise against the demon’s proposed fealty. His new prospect was gearing up to be even more dangerous than he originally suspected. To have to keep his new boss safe from their own pet … he cast his gaze at the security guard’s sweat-stained and beaten body—it didn't work out too great for him. The seams of their ensemble bulged downwards and upwards as air flowed in and out of bruised lungs. At the least, Heath retained some restraint in only maiming the security instead of eating them.

Fang would caution Valerie about the dangers of giving a mad dog a bone if this one hadn’t already come with one sewn in its jaw.

At some point, quietness had overtaken the rumbling at the door. Fang was too busy lamenting that he had not noticed when it had first stopped. It was only when he had caught on to the stillness that he noticed what Valerie already discovered. Blood-curling chaos ensued in the arena beneath them. Hatchling demons bespeckled the arena below like tumors. They writhed in a pitiful circle around the bodies of slain men and dined away at a helpless abundance of flesh. Fang sat still with wide eyes while Valerie laid her plan. Swallowing hard while she exchanged words with her butler, Fang tried to focus past the indescribable scene unfolding before him.

Was this some kind of organized attack? If so, would it be wise to put so much trust into the very same kind of evil that stood before them both? A small shake of the head aided him in releasing any lingering unease.

There was no time for uncertainty with so many lives blotting out only a heartbeat away. Fang would worry about betrayal only as it happened. He stood from his seat and trailed behind the scorned creature and its new master. There was work to be done.

It only took a blip for Heath to guide the trio to the stairway—not far off, a strange woman lingered by the railings. A single inquiring eyebrow rose to the brim of his forehead at the tenderness and familiarity Heath expressed to this new stranger. “That was sweet of you. I hope she makes it out okay,” He hummed with an undertone of just barely fictitious sweetness. Best to reward a pet for good behavior.

Trekking onwards towards to heart of the arena, the unending growls and furies of the demon hatchlings turned Fang’s skin to goosebumps. Up ahead, security and attendee alike were already partly consumed by the creatures. Two were already dead; a surplus of blood was painted on the floor by their limp bodies. One of the remaining survivors was a young girl who had been thrown to the ground. She was lifted to the air by her ponytail but a moment sooner. Brunette hair strained to carry the weight of her mass, her scalp visibly stretching to accommodate the small body beneath. Grasping the thinning fibers was a hand colored a dull green. Veins and striations of muscle bridged the path to a thick body from a wide wrist. Without mistake, it was a demon of mass so immense, they were reminiscent of a sumo wrestler.

It was a face Fang had seen back in the booths: Katsu Yoshimitsu, and not far behind them, their brother—Haru. “We can bulk for weeks with all this protein! Might not even have room left in my belly for that purple calf from the arena.” The closest one’s voice held a low and grisly timbre. From behind, his brother met his enthusiasm with a hearty laugh that jiggled his muscled paunch. The sumo demon's mouth unhinged unnaturally, revealing a red-stained maw with an organic mass drooping between his upper canines. His tongue flicked like a cobra towards the prized meal Katsu now dangled overhead while the small child kicked away at him helplessly. The child's mouth gaped wide to scream, but her overworked vocal cords were barely able to produce little more than a shrill murmur.

Move, the impulse resounded within his head endlessly and pulled at every fiber of muscle to pilot him like a puppet. From his peripherals, Fang sought a rifle firmly held within the bloody palms of a fallen guard. In a blink, he tore the firearm from its fallen owner's dead grasp and fired in one conclusive motion.

Like a water balloon, the connecting wrist burst into a red pulp from the impact of the round. Newly liberated, the grasping hand fell to the forces of gravity and took the previously held child down with it. Her eardrums burned hot from the loud sound of weapon fire and her hair was dyed a new light blood red, but better that than in the mouth of a demon. Katsu’s roar of pain reverberated throughout the arena and a look of shock followed by anger settled over his features. “You little punk, I swear I will tear your fucking head off and wear it like your hat!” Katsu shouted, his voice trembling with rage. Behind the demon brothers, it would only be a brief stretch ahead to reach the exit and the vehicles. Fang refocused, lining up a new shot for a second dismemberment.

she ripped her clawed arm out as it dripped with his blood. she stared at it with a sadistic smirk before turning towards the slayer. Kobayashi/Black Death: "๓คɭเภค...ђє เร ภ๏Շ ฬ๏гՇђ เՇ...ฬє ﻮ๏ ђ๏๓є..."

Once Luigi got pushed down by Kobayashi and flew away with Malina and his daughter, he knew he was doomed to fail. Luckily, the two of them spared his life as Kobayashi was somewhat badly injured. However, Luigi was also badly injured after Malina stabbed his left arm following his narrow evasion. Whatever that may be, he couldn't kill them if it wasn't for Malina standing in his way at first. But was it really necessary for him to kill demons to be praised for it? Not exactly.

He wouldn't just leave the stadium considering how dire the situation was with the police chasing after him and seemingly legions of demons lurking in the stadium. Even worse, he was far too injured to fight them off as they started to get closer to him. Hence, he decided to try to call one of the DSC members for backup, pulling his smartphone out to dial them. "Damn it, I need backup... Please answer my phone call... I'm not gonna die here for nothing!" he thought to himself in a frustrated and terrified manner.

Kobayashi/Black death soared through the air towards his home deep in the forest. soon he landed down and set Malina down as well as their daughter. they walked in leaving him to search for food and with that he climbed into a tree looking around. soon he spotted a dear and quietly approaches it before dropping down onto it and started biting and tearing into it's neck killing right after. he gripped the deer tightly and began to gut it with his claws all the while eating the internals as to not waste anything. after "gutting" the buck and hoisting it over his shoulder he begins to walking back

The mask Yume wore did little to hide her embarrassment from the now changed Chiyoko, who couldn't help but smile at her adorable reaction. Chiyoko was used to changing in front of people at her Dojo, so she wouldn't have minded if Yume had watched. One thing became clearer: Yume was taught by an individual and seemed to be an only student, which was unusual in modern Japan. Due to Chiyoko's extensive involvement in the martial arts community, she could only think of a handful of names who would do such a thing and even then it was rare they would accept a new student.

Yume reacted most strongly after Chiyoko had finished changing. Inaudible to most, Yume's gasp was heard by Chiyoko which was followed by a shift in body language most would have missed but not Chiyoko, not with her eyes.
"Did she know "
As events progressed, Chiyoko was too preoccupied to ask.

Chiyoko was stunned for a moment after her speech and telling Yume to get out of there; if it weren't for the demons slaughtering innocents, she would have chased after Yume. Chiyoko watched the girl walk away, but it was obvious that she had other things on her mind. It was likely that Yume was a demon slayer or a demon, given her apparent familiarity with the situation at hand; Chiyoko's heightened senses made it less likely that she was the latter. That, and the idea that a demon would help a demon slayer once they've been armed, despite demons being basically always armed seemed implausible. However, Yume seemed sincere in her offer to assist, which made Chiyoko lean more to demon slayer than demon.

"You dummy, that's supposed to be my line."
As Yume disappeared from view, Chiyoko let out a little snide remark to herself. She was half tempted to make sure the girl got out of there unharmed, but she couldn't leave the crowd to suffer.
"Time to get your head in the game."
Chiyoko slapped her cheeks and took a deep breath, trying to get as much oxygen into her body as she could. Chiyoko was no novice demon slayer; she was a Kinoe with 18 demons under her belt at that rank. As a high-ranking demon slayer, she was rarely not in a state of total concentration. However, because this fight was originally between humans, she had stopped breathing normally long before she arrived at the arena, so as to not give her an unfair advantage against human fighters in the tournament.

The majority of the crowd were gathered in the arena, so it would make sense that's where most of the demon's were. Chiyoko started walking from the locker room to the door corridor in the direction of the arena. She heard that before she saw it, the sickening sound of flesh being torn from bone and blood being slurped up by a demon. That sound would stay with her forever; it was one of the first things she ever heard even as a baby. The demon certainly sounded pleased with its meal; too bad it was about to become someone else's prey.

"So hungry, SO HUNGRY."
A deep gurgling voice spoke out as Chiyoko rounded the corner leading to the arena hall. The doors were just beyond the periphery of her vision, but she could make out the blur that was likely doors. Chiyoko's first thought upon seeing the large demon in front of the doors was of a meatball, as it resembled the shape of the food item, he was drinking the blood of the young woman who had clearly been killed earlier. Like the sumo wrestlers she had fought earlier, he was massive, but this demon was obviously all fat and no muscle and he would tower over even the two of them.

"You must be my dessert, how nice of the boss to order an all you can eat buffet for us."
When his head twisted toward Chiyoko, the deep gurgling voice spoke once more, this time spitting out chunks of flesh and blood.
"Well, I guess I could be considered a snack, but for you…"
Upon allowing the Demon to enter her line of sight, Chiyoko took a few paces towards him and made a tsk noise at him.
"I think not."
The hideous demon scratched his head, then laughed and straightened himself to nearly 7 feet in height.
"Ha, you're funny, you thought it was a choice, you stupid little girl."

The demon leaned forward, and like a bull charging full force towards its target, he ran straight at Chiyoko without even looking; he was fast, much faster than someone with his body should move; he was like a missile that had just been launched; and yet Chiyoko did not appear to move, but instead stood waiting, hand on her blade's handle. 'Tenth Form: All Embracing Mist' Chiyoko was standing in the exact spot where the demon's massive body would have slammed into her, but instead, there was nothing there but a blanket of mist. His speed was impressive, but his strategy was not, and Chiyoko was able to use her defensive technique of mist breathing and minimal movement to avoid him at the last possible second. Just as she had sidestepped out of his way, the demon's head was severed from its shoulders. If he was the bull, she was the muleta, and behind every muleta was a sword.

The demon then experienced a brief period of confusion.
"Hang on, where did you get there? And weren't those doors behind me?"
Unbeknownst to the Demon, Chiyoko had already severed its head from its body and was walking towards the stage with a blade in her hand as it uttered its final words.
"That makes 19 and barely a warm up."
She entered the main room tapping the dull side of her blade on her shoulder in time with her steps. It was total anarchy; demons ran amok; terrified civilians tried to flee; and the security forces, god bless them, were unable to put a fight up. A look of regret crossed Chiyoko's face as she realized that this was in part her fault because she should have been paying attention and keeping an eye out for demons instead of fighting for the fun of it and making friends.

"You should be paying attention Sl-"
Chiyoko let out an annoyed sigh as a demon pounced at her, and before the demon could finish his sentence, Chiyoko thrusted her blade and had pierced his chest using her breathing techniques 'First Form: Low Clouds, Distant Haze.' Even with a nichirin blade, demons could only be killed by beheading them, but Chiyoko cared more about attracting attention this time than about actually killing the demon, the more attention she had the more demons would go for her and not civilians. Instead, Chiyoko thrust her non-dominant (left) shoulder into the Demon and charged him into the room's center, causing the Demon to scream in pain as she twisted her blade inside his chest. When they reached the middle of the room, Chiyoko stepped back and barged him with her shoulder again, ripping the sword from his chest. She then took a single, fluid step back and twisting on the spot, extending her arm still holding the sword in a horizontal slashing attack aimed at the demon's neck. When the Demon saw what was happening, he put his arms up similar to a block from a boxer, but Chiyoko slashed through his arms and severed his head from his shoulders. The unfortunate gentleman who was standing near Chiyoko would have gotten a shower of blood if he wasn't careful.

"That's twenty!"
As her gaze settled on the person beside her, she felt her nose twitch, an indication from her body that a demon was nearby. The man was a little taller than Chiyoko and looked to be about the same age; he might have been a year or two younger but not much. Everything about his appearance screamed harmless, but Chiyoko was on to his true nature. Chiyoko got to her feet and started tapping her shoulder again with her blade as she looked this man over, ready to fend against an attack at any moment.
"Something about you is different, the scent of blood the rest of your kind reeks of hasn't attached itself to you. Tell me, demon, why is that?"
While Chiyoko appeared casual, her voice lacked warmth; she sounded cold, dead, and serious despite her relaxed stance, any experienced fighter would recognise the bait in her current fighting stance; while it may appear relaxed at first glance, it actually begs to be attacked. It's as if she's placed a target on her chest while waiting for an attack, waiting and ready to counter attack.

At first, Luigi really thought he was going to die at the hands of flesh-eating demons. Well, he proved himself wrong. Thanks to his trying to call for backup on his smartphone, a peculiar demon slayer, Ryuji, appeared behind the crowd of demons that were surrounding him.

He was armed with a crimson blade and was much more serious than Luigi. With his unexpectedly incredible strength, he was able to fight off the demons without breaking a sweat. With corpses surrounding Luigi, he was very shocked but impressed by it. "Wow, you're even stronger than me! How awesome! Oh right, the name's Awesome. Jimmy Awesome. No pun intended, obviously. I'm a mizunoto and I work as a professional musician. The Eurobeat scene, to be exact. Pretty cool, huh?" he introduced himself to Ryuji.

ryuji was flusterred by the sudden praise bowing to the fellow demon slayer , he quickly turned back to the demon with the club hands before putting up his sword.
"we need to take him down , together , if it doesnt work out the way we want it to , i have a technique that i can use , but you'll have to carry out of here , possibly dead"
ryuji says , he then takes a deep breath using his second form breathing as the ground behind him shatters and he dashes foreward throwing a slash at the demon.

The group made it downstairs without a hitch. As they advanced toward the main area, the pungent smell of blood hit her nostrils, and the dreadful screams of human prey filled her ears, louder than ever. Valerie's eyes wandered over the trail of bodies that were scattered as far as her eyes could see. Most of them were in a state beyond recognition, bloodied and disfigured, and she had to swallow a hard lump in her throat. In all her years as a demon slayer, Valerie had never come across a sight as gruesome and gut-churning as the one presented before her now. It's as if someone had summoned hell on Earth, and perhaps, that wasn't far off from the truth. This was clearly an orchestrated attack.

Some humans miraculously held on to their life despite the state of their mangled bodies; their faint heartbeats rang loudly in her ears, as if begging to be preserved, but any futile attempts to help them would only put Valerie and her men's safety at risk. They're a goner, Valerie reasoned in an attempt to subdue the feelings of guilt that dribbled in her chest. She couldn't afford to get distracted, so she looked away as her eyes wandered to the nearest exit. There it is.

To get there, however, they would first have to go through two paunchy, balding, demon brothers who were drooling over their next meal: a young girl in a yellow dress, who wriggled like a worm as the demon held her by her brunette hair. Valerie balled her hands into fists, her jaw clenching tightly as she considered her next move carefully. She recognized the demons as the sumo twins from a previous match, Katsu and Haru. It was hard to forget their names after they got their asses handed to them by girls one-third of their size.

The demon brothers were much too distracted, eyes laser focused on their meal-to-be, so there was a good chance that they could bolt to the exit without drawing their attention; but as troublesome as it may be, leaving an innocent child to perish in such a gruesome manner was not an option her morals would allow her to take. Valerie had to come up with a plan—and fast. Saving the girl was one thing, but they had to do it without attracting the unwanted attention of demons who were feasting nearby.

Suddenly, a gunshot rang loudly from behind her. She whipped around to see Fang, an unknown gun in his hand. Where in the world he got the gun, Valerie did not know, but if the gunshot hadn't drawn the attention of other demons in the vicinity, Katsu's angry, thunderous voice did the trick. Several pairs of bloodshot eyes snapped in their direction. The young girl, now free from the demon's grasp, ran away as fast as her shaking knees allowed her. There was atleast some relief in that—but such a thing was short-lived. As the young girl ran toward the exit, another demon caught up to her and pounced, sparing no delay as he feasted upon her flesh. Her horrific screams reverbrated in the air, but there was no time to lament. They were now surrounded.

There was a brief, hesitant pause. The presence of Heath, a fellow demon, made them wary and befuddled, but others—more rabid and stupid—lunged at whom they thought would be easy prey: Hiroto, an old man; and Valerie, a woman. Poor things did not know they were making a huge mistake. Before the demon could sink its teeth into Hiroto's shoulder, Valerie grabbed a fistful of its hair. With a pivot of her foot, she turned her body and slammed its head against the cement wall. A loud crack resounded, and it's limp body fell to the ground. On the wall was a gaping hole the size of its head. The creature wasn't dead, but it would be out of comission for awhile.

A sigh escaped Valerie's lips. She had no time to waste as another demon lunged at her from behind. She dodged it with a side step, before allowing her elbow to connect with the demon's jaw. As it stumbled back, she delivered a powerful high-kick below its chin. The force of the kick sent the demon flying down rows of chairs. Everything had happened within seconds.

The demon brothers now began to advance. The floor shook beneath them with each step they took in unison. Their eyes seethed with rage, directed at Fang. He allowed their meal to escape, so now he was going to be their meal. Nearby, four other demons began to move in their direction.

"For fuck's sake. It's supposed to be my day off."

It was while Ko was sulking by the ring center to the arena that he was approached by her. A young woman, maybe a year or two older than him, and slightly shorter, which meant she wasn’t a total tank, because Ko was under average height for a boy his age. However, most importantly, she was a Demon Slayer, and she was on to him.

Ko had no experience with fighting, at all. While her relaxed stance didn’t seem threatening. it wasn’t all welcoming either. Especially with her tone of voice. It was cold and empty, like a deep and dark pit with a pair of glaring eyes waiting for him at the bottom. Sure, he may be slightly terrified of her, and the fact that she kept her sword within grasp was also unsettling, but this woman hadn’t tried to behead him just yet. He was ready to run, if need be. However, the Slayer was willing to hear him out, and she was who would decide whether he lived or died tonight. He should choose his words carefully.

“Demon? Well, you’re not wrong,” the boy said as he removed the winter hat that was concealing his horns. “I’m flattered that you could distinguish me from all of these babies, but calm down a bit. You sound more dead than I am!” he teased. A nervous habit of his that often got him in trouble was what that was, and, in this scenario, definitely going to screw him over. “Anyways, well, uhm, you asked why I uhh, smell different? Like, not like blood?” he asked with caution, making sure not to try and cross any lines. “Well, I just don’t… eat? That’s really it. Like— I mean I don’t eat all that blood, or get hungry super often. I had my first meal in about a year tonight, actually.” he added. “But not like that! I may have broken into a hospital’s blood bank and grabbed a single bag. That’s it, I swear.” he reassured the woman.

As soon as he finished speaking, a freshly turned demon began to eye the Demon Slayer Ko spoke with. Noticing this, Ko gave the demon a subtle, but piercing glare. He then nodded the demon off as if to say ‘Back off! This is my food!’ before continuing, even though he had no intention of eating the Slayer before him. The very thought of that repulsed him.
“What else to add… hmmm…” he pondered. “Ah, I sleep, like— a lot. I don’t know why, but it keeps me from getting hungry. Eighteen to twenty hours every day.” the boy explained. “That’s all there is to me. I don’t eat, I don’t kill, I just kinda exist. Speaking of which, I would like to continue existing. Please don’t kill me.” he concluded. Of course, that last part was muttered under his breath.

Ko looked around the room, trying to spot any sort of exit where he wouldn’t run into trouble. The main exit just might work, as long as this woman lets him free. If not, he may just have to run away, and that would make things a bit more complicated than he would like. “Anyways, anything uhh, anything else..?” he asked. “I’ve got… some time. Actually, what time is it? I should probably get going…”

Taking down together with Ryuji? That was definitely something Luigi would do if he wanted to get out of the stadium alive. However, it depends on how lucky he would become considering he would be teaming up with Ryuji. As Ryuji was preparing himself to attack the demons, Luigi felt a sigh of relief and confidence. "Right, let's do that! Wait a minute, are you saying that I need to play dead this whole time?" he said, confused.

Ten minutes. Ten minutes to be able to get from his current location, wherever it was, to the parking garage entrance. After having the call hung up by his boss who appeared to have set the plan in motion, Xiang had stood in the middle of the empty hall practically flabbergasted at the idea of how his boss expected him to get to the garage within ten minutes during this chaos. Sure, part of the problem was the fact that he told his boss that everything was mostly under control but what sense would it make to expect Xiang to know the entirety of the facility like the back of his hand to get from one place to another in ten fucking minutes. Exhaling a somewhat defeated sigh, Xiang proceeded on his way down the rest of the hall while eyeing the wall to his right, following the green line that was meant as decorations for the corridor, he'd eventually come to find a map at the halfway mark. Eyeing the map, he located his exact position and where he needed to go. Tracing his right hand along the map, he ended up finding that he was on the fourth floor and he was somewhat near the center. By the time he had found his destination, he found that the closest available pathway to his goal was through multiple flights of stairs, all which are on opposite ends of the facility.

"You've got to be kidding me...Really?" As Xiang stood there frustrated, he attempted to look for alternatives to reaching his destination, knowing well enough that every second he stood there was another moment wasted and his boss getting closer. Soon enough, a realization came to mind as he noticed his goal was directly below him if he made his way around the next couple of corridors. While Xiang was not a fan of property damage, the situation was already dire as it was and surely his boss wouldn't mind if he got the suit all the more dirtied considering it was torn in several spots due to his previous battle with Ryutan anyway. Nodding to himself on his plan, Xiang sprinted down the rest of the hall only to skid to a halt at the corner when both a familiar scent and sound caught his attention. The sounds were as clear as day, flesh being torn, loud squishing chewing motions and hungered growls. The scent had a metallic copper like smell to it, even a child could most likely be able to tell what it was if they paid enough attention to it.

Swallowing hard under his breath, Xiang carefully approached the corner of the hall simply to peak his head around the edge only to have his eyes widen at the gruesome sight that laid before him. The walls, floor, ceiling, everything was drenched in red. Limbs and internals littered the entirety of the hallway to the point that the once white light that the hall gave off was now a dimmed flickering crimson color due to it being drenched in the blood of the innocent.
Even if Xiang had dedicated himself to not feasting upon humans and focused onto other
supplements to replace his hunger for it, he couldn't stray away from his internal hunger. Quickly retreating back around the corner to press his back against the cool surface of the wall, he pressed the back of his head against the wall while his eyes closed as he attempted to control his breathing due to it being now labored with heavy panting breathes. Gritting his teeth which had now been fangs moreover than anything else, drool formed at the corners of his mouth that soon dripped from his jaw. 'Calm down...Control your breathing!...Focus! Remember your training...!' Even if he was a Kinoe before leaving the Corps, his mentor did not teach him how to control his hunger for blood as he wasn't a demon during his time training; this made controlling his breathing at times when it came to blood all that much more difficult.

The worse part about the situation was that he had to go through that mess, as his goal was directly below that exact hall. Still attempting to keep his breathing steady, the scent was practically unbearable, attempting to figure out any sort of plan to be able to get through that massacre without falling victim to his hunger was going to be near impossible. Almost as though it were on cue however, the sound of a feminine scream, childlike in nature snapped him out of his hungered state of mind. With dark brown eyes widened, he paused and gritted his fangs even with the drool still dripping from his jaw. 'Enough hiding!' With that said, Xiang rounded the corner and sprinted down the hall at full speed. The large number of demons that had been on the bloodied floor feasting had turned their attention towards the approaching individual only to see what appeared to be an angered Xiang blindly rushing them, with the lights flickering on and off, those that sat/kneeled upon the corpses would notice the individual that approached them had golden hues for eyes that glowed in the pitch darkness when the lights flickered off.

Before they could so much as stand and question the male as they knew he was another demon, Xiang had lifted himself into air with a single jump putting nearly all his strength into his right arm before swinging downwards into the center of one of the male demons' face. The sheer amount of strength Xiang exerted causing the head of the demon to bury into the cement flooring with a massive crack that followed multiple cracks soon after. The entirety of the hall ruptured and eventually collapsed downwards with the head of the demon he had struck crushed under Xiang's fist.

The floor beneath Xiang however just so happened to had been the source of the childlike scream, as the ceiling of the third floor collapsed downwards the twin demonized sumo brothers had lifted their gaze upwards towards the ceiling when small bits of debris had fallen on top of them. "Huh--?" With one of the brothers lifting his gaze, before he knew it, the ceiling had come crashing down upon him and his sibling; crushed under the weight of the debris. With dust and smoke lifted into the air, Xiang shifted his attention from one side to the next to indicate where the source of the screams originated from, especially now that it was silenced.
By the time the smoke had lifted, the sight of a young female child being feasted upon practically sent Xiang into a stunned state, his golden hues widened as all he could do for the next couple of seconds was simply stand there and watch as the demon tore through the female's limbs, muscles tearing and feasted upon like it was some sort of pleasure to the demon.
Shaking his head slowly at first before it turned to rapid shakes of refusal to believe what he saw, Xiang rushed the feasting demon; practically ignoring the others that surrounded the area as well as the three slayers in the vicinity. The very same demon that had been feasting on the female had raised his head to see what was approaching, by the time he had noticed, his face had been grabbed and slammed once more into the cement flooring. Rather than put all his force into one single strike as he did to reach the floor below, Xiang proceeded to beat the life out of the demon with one hand on the demon's throat while his other consistently punching his face in till all that had been left was a mangled undefinable mess.

While Xiang cared for others around him to an extent and he had pitied humans, young people were a completely different story all together. Xiang held a soft spot for children especially, so seeing this was just unbearable. So by the time he had felt as though he had calmed down enough, he stood up fully just to exhale a deep sigh before eyeing his surroundings as to understand his current situation and position. Finding himself surrounded in the midst of a number of demons who appeared to had been approaching a group that consisted of three men and a single female. With a raised brow at the sight of this, moments before Xiang could so much as question the situation, the sound of moving rubble and a follow-up of loud shouting could be heard from the debris as the demonized sumo brothers dug themselves out of the crushed rubble of the ceiling. "What the hell was that all about?!" One brother shouted, as the other eventually stood as well slightly behind his sibling with just the same amount of enraged anger. "You! Whats the big idea?! These are our prey go get your--" With the other brother spitting his nonsense, midway throughout his cursing of Xiang, a massive chunk of a cement block had been shoved into his mouth by Xiang tossing it over to him. "You have no idea...how much I hate seeing your mouth go off..." With that said, the brother would crush the cement block in his fanged mouth before pointing at Xiang with his right index finger. "Then allow me to make sure you never have to hear it again! Kill him!" Almost as though on command, multiple of the surrounding demons turned their attention towards Xiang as they immediately began to rush him.

Demon Slayer
Yume Shimizu
Location: Outside the Arena | Tags: Open
It must have been her lucky day, or maybe not given the situation taking place. Still, she was lucky to make it outside without any real issues. The demons must have been focused on the upper floors rather the floor the fighters were on. Whatever the reason, Yume was happy nonetheless. No issues meant she could arrive at the small pizza parlor much faster than she originally anticipated and hopefully return sooner than planned as well.

With that positive thought in mind, Yume pushed on, showing no signs of slowing down. For someone who was only seen as a gamer, it was surprising how well her stamina seemed to keep up with her. Anyone might have been convinced there was more to her aside from professional gaming upon seeing how she hardly broke into a sweat despite how quickly she moved. That was the least of her worries now though. Nobody was paying much mind to her at this point anyways, which was perhaps for the better. Getting stopped by some of the knuckleheads that were around the arena was the last thing she wanted to deal with as is.

As she continued to run, she pulled her mask up, finding no reason to keep it down at the moment. Besides, the cool, night air felt nice against her face. It was a good way to relieve some of the warmth the embarrassment from before, plus she figured Kenshin would question why she was wearing a mask if she showed up with it on. The less questions she left him with, the better. It would spare her a headache, though she was sure he'd have more than enough questions as is. She already wasn't looking forward to them. Pushing the thought aside, Yume quickly rounded a corner and hurried down the dimly lit street that greeted her. Her destination was only up ahead.

Breathing out heavily, she clenched her fist tightly and quickened her pace even more, pushing herself beyond a comfortable speed. If the circumstances were any different, she might not have been as panicked as she was now, but sadly that was not the case for her. Nothing about any of this was comfortable. The guilt she felt for running made matters even worse, yet it was the only option she had open to her. Staying with no sword would have put her in an even worse situation and made her a liability for all those around her. Still, leaving Chiyoko behind to fend of demons on her own added to her own guilt. While she hardly doubted the other girl's strength, she knew the cruel reality of how things were. In the face of demons, strength could very well mean nothing.

She couldn't think like that. Not now. Swallowing back her own guilt, Yume approached her destination. A lone figure stood out in front; one she knew all too well. "Kenshin!" she breathed out, a mixture of panic and excitement coming through in her voice. "Thank god you actually listened!" Bringing herself to a stop, she offered the taller male a meek smile and lifted a hand up for him to hand over her sword, however, he didn't give in so easily. Seeing the concern written on his face, Yume knew he wasn't simply going to let her run off without some kind of explanation. Would it even matter? Heaving a sigh, the streamer rubbed at her cheek for a moment, trying to think of the right words to say, but nothing came. He wouldn't let the silence linger for long though.

"Did you really think I'd leave you hanging? You clearly were in distress," Kenshin sighed, holding the sword close to his chest as he spoke. "I saw you on TV you know... I saw the live broadcast cut out right before you called me... I understand something is happening, but why must you claim it's demons? Do you really have to keep living this fantasy?" His questions left Yume speechless and staring towards the ground with more guilt. She had tried to come clean to him many times before, but each time he never understood. What would make this one any different? It wouldn't. He'd claim she was crazy like every other time. No matter how much she wanted to get him to believe, it would never happen. Balling her hand up into fists, she stood in silence, trying to find the right words. "Look, Yume, I really don't understand any of this, but I do know one thing; you never do anything for no reason. I just wish I could understand this. I know you like to play the hero, but life isn't a game. You don't get an extra life if something goes wrong..."

Those words were enough to get Yume to lift her head and offer a genuine smile in Kenshin's direction. "I know, Kenshin... I take up that sword knowing my life is at risk every time, but if I don't do it, then who will? This world doesn't believe in demons, but some of us have experienced them firsthand. When that happens it's hard to stay blind to it all and do nothing. I need to protect people so they don't have to feel the pain I do..." she said, moving her hand to his shoulder and giving it a light squeeze. She always knew her childhood friend was looking out for her, and wanting the best, but sometimes he could be real blind to the truth. One day she'd get through to him though. She was determined to. "You just need to believe in me, okay? I can't prove any of this to you without you being put in harms way, so you just need to trust my word. Can you do that for me?"

Silence returned between the two and Yume watched as Kenshin ran his fingers through his messy, brown hair until a sigh finally escaped his lips. "I understand, Yume... I'll put my faith in you, but..." He paused for a moment and looked the girl directly in the eyes. "You need to come back alive. I wouldn't be able to go on if I let you walk into you own death, okay?" It was a promise that was hard to keep, but the girl knew she had no other choice. Besides, she had no plans of going down any time soon. No demon had gotten the best of her thus far, and she had no plans of letting that change. Lifting her hand from his shoulder, she held her pinky up in his direction and beamed a smile. "I'll pinky promise on that!" Those words brought a faint smile to Kenshin's face before he moved his pinky to meet hers. "You really are childish sometimes... But it's a promise."

As the touching moment between friends passed, Kenshin held the sword out to her, and she gladly took it. Slinging its holder across her back, she gave one last smile to Kenshin before she turned on her heels. "Go home, okay? You'll be safe there, and I'll call you once I'm home." Yume left him with those simple words before she bolted off back towards the arena. Nothing was going to stop her now. She was going to be of use to those in trouble.

RYUJI

ryuji takes a swing at his apponent but gets reflected , he goes for another one only for the demon to catch it in his hands and push ryuji away.
"no , im saying i basically have a form that might allow me to deal with this demon , and possibly more , but it have a large chance of leaving me knocked out , or even dead"
ryuji says only to be laughed at by the demon.
"as much i would love to take you on with this kamikaze move of yours , i think ill enjoy devouring you more"
the demon says taking a large swoop at ryuji that the demon slayer dodges.
"combustion breathing , first form , exploding slash"
the slayer says throwing his sword at his enemy , the sword once again exlodes from the back pushing the sword into the demons arm making both of them unable to hit each other.

"Oh, I see. That makes a lot of sense now. How interesting. Alright, enough with me asking questions..." said Luigi, nodding his head as a sign of comprehension. He finally came to terms with fighting alongside Ryuji against the demons, no longer being the victim of humiliation just from losing to Doc Kobayashi and Malina like he was just moments ago. It was a bittersweet change of mood for him. "Alright, I'm not going down without a fight. So let's do this!" he said with excitement, picking up his once-burning sword to fight against the demons again, attempting to perform swift attacks against them while supporting Ryuji.
