A man had walked out from his small hospital like building...it was night. he sighs softly knowing what comes next. his body shifted and began to grow in size and causing him to groan in pain...it soon turned to growls as he shifts into his demonic form.

Final form.jpg
He growled softly and jumped into the air trying to get home. his void black body hide him well in the night and made him nearly transparent in the dark sky. he soon landed in the thick forest and looked around for his trail that lead to his home. he had hoped to get their as soon as possible and quickly as to avoid interaction with anyone human, slayer, or demon

Malina, who was at home light put some tobacco into her dragon shaped pipe watched as Kobayashi returned home to her. this earned him a soft loving smile from her and she walked forward to embrace her lover as he would her. the 2 shared a long hug before she spoke up and looked into his somewhat red glowing irises. they had planned to go to a human tournament to watch and get a feel on how they fight

Malina: "Are you ready to go my dear?" she said in a soft tone and blow a black could of smoke from her pipe.

Doctor Kobayashi/Black Death: "ЩIᄂᄂ ПIKЦYӨKЦ BΣ FIПΣ ЩIƬΉӨЦƬ ЦƧ?..." his voice was distorted and incomprehensible but Malina made sense of it

Malina: "We are taking her with us my love don't be so silly~"

She went to their young daughter and woke her up before wrapping her in a blanket. she then turned to Kobayashi and draped a massive cloaked over him covering his body to hid him. she wrapped herself with a blanket and exhaled from her mouth..she saw her own breath as expected. she nodded before climbing onto Kobayashi's back and patted him showing she was ready.

Kobayashi lept into the air high above the tree's before sprouting a pair of black wings and began flying. he avoided being caught in the moon light as to not let anyone see him.

If this was anyone else, Yume might have instantly rejected all friendly notions thrown her way, but this was no average person. This was Chiyoko Kasumi. A name like that meant more than anything. Hearing the other come to the conclusion on her name's origin, she gave a meek chuckle before rubbing the back of her head. While it had passed for the time being, it was clear that her disguise was easy to pick apart. Even her rabbit themed mask and haori did no help at hiding it, though as long as her main target never discovered who she actually was, it didn't matter if others did. Her facade was only to assure that the demon she was after wouldn't run upon hearing her name, though he had little reason to fear her. If she was a mere fighter then he should suspect nothing more. That was especially true given her parents. Nothing in the slightest hinted to her having any ties to the Demon Slayer Corps. That was how she liked to keep it.

Drawing herself back to reality, her hand dropped back down into her lap and she allowed another weak chuckle to escape her lips. "Yeah, that's where I got the name," she admitted with a small shake of her head. Before she could continue on though, Chiyoko's next words took Yume by surprise. Never in a million years would she had thought she'd be asked to collab with someone like her on a stream. Sure, she played often with some of the top players in the world, but that was different. Her and Chiyoko were vastly different in their approaches to streaming, yet from how she spoke, it seemed she was a fan of her gaming content, much like Yume herself enjoyed Chiyoko's cosplay and martial arts. It was honestly nice to hear, and Yume couldn't help offering a genuine smile in the other girl's direction.

"That sounds like so much fun. I would have never imagined being offered such a collab if I'm being honest." Again a light chuckle came from Yume, as she found it hard to contain the joy she was currently feeling. To think she had come to this place with an entirely different purpose, only to come out with something like this. It was amazing, though she still couldn't lose sight of what her true goal of being here was. For now, it could stay on hold though. "I'd love to do something like that though. It'd really surprise my viewers to see me showing off my fighting skills. I really have never spoken about it to them before." It would likely raise many questions among her audience, but she was sure she could give a proper explanation. Besides, there was no telling if her own skills would even hold a flame to Chiyoko. She was far better trained in comparison to herself. She was more than happy to admit that much. "We can totally plan something out once we're done here. We can make it totally awesome and fun!"

Beaming a smile as she pumped a fist up into the air, Yume could only hope that her sudden burst of excitement didn't scare Chiyoko off immediately. She doubted it would, especially if she was a fan of hers, but sometimes people were turned away as soon as someone showed enthusiasm in such a manner.

Xiang appeared to had shown little interest in the human and the fact that he spoke about how he learned to fight by watching others was difficult to believe. While he did not appear to be scrawny, the male's features clearly did not show large signs of being overly muscular either and the fact that his opponent was the brother of Xiang's fight must've at least meant that the sibling was no doubt just as muscular as well. So, unless the male was able to get lucky somewhere, he was definitely hiding more than he was letting on. Even after the male had finished speaking, Xiang simply stood there staring down at him in silence for a few more passing moments.

Within a matter of seconds as he stood there staring blankly towards the male, the sound of rapid stomping footsteps echoing down the opposing side of the hall eventually had caught his attention. Lifting his head before turning it towards the origin of the sounds, the sight of multiple men and women dressed in black suits rushed down the hall simply to sprint passed both competitors of the tournament. As they ran towards the other end of the hall, Xiang couldn't help but arch a brow at the sight of this, what could've been so urgent that it the group couldn't walk and require this many people. Whatever the case may have been, it was none of his concern.

In the meantime, while Xiang had conversed with one of his competitors, back at the ring, the announcer had informed the audience that the tournament had reached its halfway mark. Letting people know that if they wanted to use the restrooms, refill up on drinks or place more bets, now was the time while he was allowed to rest his throat from the constant shouting as well as allowing the fighters to prepare for their next set of fights. This break lasted all of about twenty minutes or so. By the time a large majority of the audience had returned to their seats, the announcer made his way back to the center of the ring to hype the crowd once more before preparing to introduce the next pair of fighters.

"Now folks! I know it's been a long evening! But don't fall asleep on me now! Now that we've reached the halfway mark, you're going to see some crazy action play out before your very eyes this time! Coming up to the next round, you know...you love him...please welcome Marumachi Ryutan!" As the crowd heard the familiar name once again, their roar echoed throughout the stadium, the volume of the cheer practically shook the supports of the entire stadium but of course did little to affect the stability of the structure. "And...his opponent, one that clearly seems to have a bit of an anger problem...Xiang Zhao!" Hearing the opponent's name, many of the crowd either refused to cheer or boo after what they had seen while many insulted his name out loud for possibly being some sort of cheater to be able to have a kick that powerful.

Simultaneously, after hearing his name being called out for the next fight and that his opponent was going to be against that of the first round's victor no less, Xiang could only chuckle under his breath. Without delay, he approached the stranger had been speaking with before practically shoving his suit coat into the male's arms only to pat his shoulder as he passed him by. "Hold this for me kid and don't get it dirty...or your career as a demon slayer will end tonight." Just as Xiang threatened the young male, he made sure to make eye contact for a mere moment before heading down the rest of the hall towards the opening stadium room. While he had his suspicions that the human was a demon slayer while being faced to face with him, he wasn't completely sure. Although, after making physical contact with him, Xiang was able to confirm his suspicions immediately.

For the last few rounds of the tourney, Ryutan had been watching the screen the fights were displayed on like his life depended on it. He watched the fighters well to deduct how much of a threat some of them would be to his chances of winning this thing and earning that cash. He took note of a few fighters, ones that seemed to show more skill, power or overall better battle technique than the competition. These were the ones he was worried about because he had that gut feeling that they weren't simply prodigies of battle, but ones with extreme training, the training of a Demon Slayer.

While that lot did put some worry into him, especially if any were to find out his identity as a demon, there was one combatant that was an immediate red flag. Xiang Zhao, the well-dressed man from when all the fighters were waiting before being brought into the proper waiting areas. While it was impressive that he beat an opponent who formerly was a champion, he did it with a singular devastating kick that sent the opposition to the seats despite the ropes catching the man. This was not ordinary strength, not one that could be fully achieved by a human, Xiang had to be a demon. At least that was the thoughts that were within Ryutan's mind at the time.

When the half-way break began, Ryutan held his head in pain as his mind ached. He had the irked feeling that he recognized the dangerous combatant, Xiang Zhao, but couldn't recall what he could possibly know the man from. Nonetheless, Ryutan had no time to waste simply sitting and doing nothing but bringing himself down. He would take off the shirt he had, leaving him in a tank-top and his necklace visible. The boy would start to stretch as he waited for the break to end and it eventually did as the announcer started to reveal the next match.

Upon hearing his own name being called once again, Ryutan smiled and continued to even when it was announced that his opponent was Xiang Zhao. "Don't die on us kid, Hahaha!" The other competitors that made it this far laughed, thinking that Ryu was going to get the same treatment as the former champion that went against Xiang. Ryu would simply shake his head before exiting the room and entering the main part of the stadium. He would put both his arms up and wave to the crowds as they cheered for him, before growing dead silent as he entered the ring.

Ryu looked down at his necklace, smiling at the small pendant on it before tucking it into his tank-top. The boy would wait for Xiang to enter the ring as well before finally sighing. "May the best warrior win." Was all Ryu said before starting to hop up and down once again, it was similar to the stance he used in the first round but Ryu seemed to be much more serious now, having seen what Xiang is capable of.

The very instant Xiang had entered the stadium, he had kept his head down throughout his walk towards the ring. Even while he heard the shouting insults of the audience calling him all sorts of names such as 'cheater' or 'monster'. The words of humans meant nothing to him, they were all fragile beings that could easily be snapped in two in a moment's notice. Whether this would be the same case for his opponent, only time would tell.
As he entered the ring by ducking under the repaired rope barrier, Xiang only shifted his attention over towards the sidelines where the announcer appeared to had been cowering behind his desk at the fact of how Xiang was earlier. "Hmph. Pathetic." With a whispered murmur under his breath, his attention was soon brought over towards his opponent who now stood before him.

With the male's bouncing stance, Xiang kept his continued stoically blank expression while his dark brown hues watched and carefully scanned for any possible weak points in the male's stance. Finding little to none, Xiang couldn't help but let a chuckle slip from his lips. "Very well done. Your stance...much better than it was last time." With his continued chuckle, Xiang eventually applauded the male before eventually bringing his right foot back and turning his body to one side. Straightening his left foot forward, he raised his left arm up in a right angle while keeping his palm open and relax, all the while his right arm was close towards his side and hand was balled up into a fist. The stance was one of many that his mentor, Hiroshi had practically beaten into him, stating that a Hashira should never allow the loss of their sword to be their weakness.

So, the fact that Xiang now took a stance at the very least showed that he found his opponent was enough of a threat that he might need to take this situation much more serious. "Don't disappoint me now, kid."

"I should say the same to you... Xiang."
Ryu said, the name of his opponent still seemingly familiar, but that didn't matter at that moment... only winning did. Focusing his breaths, Ryu would start using a technique from when he was a demon slayer. 'Total Concentration Breathing... Constant!' Ryu's breaths became much more precise, and his body felt lighter than before. When he was finally ready, that's when Ryu decided to strike.

Deciding not to mess with Xiang, Ryu went in head on with the intent to (hopefully) end this battle quickly. 'I'll go in for a right hook...' Putting his fist up to the side, Ryu prepared to strike with a strong right. 'But that's not what's coming at all!' When he threw the supposed hook, he missed completely and instead had used the momentum to attempt landing a strong kick to Xiang's side.

Ryu knew better than to underestimate this opponent, having seen the level of strength he has, especially when pissed off. So the boy kept vigilant, ready to use his enhanced sense of touch to his advantage once again.

"Huh..?" With his once blank expression turning to one of mild shock and confusion at the sound of his name being spoken by the stranger, Xiang had a familiar wash over him, almost as though it was normal to hear his name from this person. The curiosity had his mind clouded as he stood there like a deer staring down headlights from a car. Even when Ryu had rushed forward, Xiang was far too distracted by his thoughts that had lost focus on the fight only to end up being hit at full force by the kick onto his side.

The sheer pain of the solid connected strike immediately snapped him out of his trance-like state even as he ended up barreling over towards the side of the ring. With one hand holding onto the rope barrier to keep his balance, his free hand meanwhile held onto his side that had a tingling sensation after a single kick. "Heh, lucky shot..." With a chuckled breath, Xiang straightened his posture before once more returning to his stance. This time however, he was the one to initiate the charge.

As he approached his opponent, similar to Ryu's fake-out technique, Xiang went for a palm straight towards his male's face just to attempt to block vision and if the male should parry or dodge, he had already been planning a full forced strike with his knee towards his gut. The fact that a stranger was able to inflict any form of pain onto Xiang at least meant that if they could deal the pain, they surely could handle it too; with this fact in mind, as Xiang raised his knee towards Ryu's gut, he had flexed his muscles within his leg to make sure he would be putting in a large amount of force into the jab. The plan behind the kick was to launch his opponent into the air for a follow up attack after.

Ryutan smiled as the hit connected with enough force to make Xiang stumble, even though the man seemed to be somewhat distracted by something. "Sure it was, keep your guard up." Ryu said with a smile as he got ready to for whatever Xiang was planning to do. 'I don't know how he fights, I have to keep my distance!-'

Though as soon as Ryutan thought about keeping distance from Xiang, the man approached with an attack aimed for the face. The boy would close his eyes, not worried of the attack the slightest bit as he was able to tell what was coming, but he didn't know how to avoid it. So Ryutan did the next best thing, dodging the palm attack before quickly putting his arms in position to take the impact from Xiang's knee. "Tch!" Ryutan grunted as his arms took the severe hit from the impact of Xiang's knee, but it was better than what would have happened if he had taken the hit normally.

Jumping back after taking the hit, Ryu took but a moment to recover before rushing back in as well. Ducking low, it seemed he was going for a sweeping attack, but once again that was just a feint. Ryu jumped up and went for a powerful uppercut, aimed directly for Xiang's chin as a way to send him off his feet.

Impressive, very impressive. With the fact that the male was able to defend himself from Xiang's strike confirmed his possible suspicions, this Ryutan was no ordinary person let alone a human. It had only been two blows that the duo had made with one another and yet each time Xiang made physical contact with the stranger, it almost felt natural, almost as though the two of them had fought once before. Rather than allowing his thoughts to be clouded once again and become distracted, he quickly shook his head to remain focused onto the fight before him.

Once again, as the male charged directly forward, Xiang began to relax his stance, releasing his balled fist for a moment as he eyed his opponent approaching. Rather than blindly fight an opponent who was just as powerful if not possibly more powerful directly, he recalled his teachings from his mentor; Hiroshi and allowed himself to flow with the battle rather than fight against it. Just as with combating a storm, of any kind, fighting against it would only strain the body, follow the current of the wind and let it guide oneself.
This time, rather than allow himself to be deceived by the fake out strike towards his legs, when Ryu came for the uppercut, Xiang made sure to lightly grip onto the male's wrist before tightening down once it had gotten close enough towards his face. Rather than put immense amount of force behind it, he allowed Ryu to come full force with the strike and used his own strength against him to attempt and slam him over Xiang's shoulder with a slam.

If he were successful, Xiang would attempt to follow up his attack with a full forced punch downwards into Ryu's abdomen area.

Ryu was shocked as Xiang had not been fooled by his tricky fighting style. He had that sick feeling in his stomach like he knew it wasn't going to work, like he had fought against this man before and loss a multitude of times. Back in reality, he had been grabbed by his wrist and thrown over the man's shoulder to the ground, quickly receiving a hefty punch to the abdomen. Ryu coughed out in pain, holding the area as it throbbed in pain before quickly rolling to the side for safety. He continued to hold his abdomen as his pained look formed into a smirk.

"I see that you have the power of a storm... But I am the winds that control the tides of battle! I hope your ready, Xiang!" Ryu said with confidence, laughing out a bit as he stood up. He didn't know why he said that but it just felt right at this point, Ryu had to have known this man beforehand, otherwise he was just speaking this like a mad man. With a crack of his neck and knuckles, Ryutan would change his stance as well into a stronger stance but still seemed it focused on a lot of movement.

As he made his next approach, it was unclear which way he would come from. But if he were to reach Xiang it wouldn't be a good time for the man, as Ryu was ready to unleash a flurry of blows, as fast and as powerful as a windstorm.

After landing his strike and watching as to how Ryu had rolled off to the side, Xiang kept his posture bent while his fist still pointed downwards the entire time. The fact that the male was able to survive the strike let alone still be conscious after it was just another piece of evidence that stacked onto Xiang's theory that this man was clearly no ordinary human. By the time he had straightened his stance once more, the spot as to where his fist once made contact with Ryu's abdomen now showed a slight indent into the solid surface of the ring and multiple cracks all around it. While Xiang hadn't put all his energy into the single strike, he definitely put in enough that would on the ordinary human, would break a large majority of bones easily.

By the time Ryu had backed away to one side of the ring, rather than go for immediate charge, he spoke of storms and winds, and once again used Xiang's name. Yet again, familiar words filled his head on top of the use of his name from some stranger.
"Although you fail to realize...where there are strong winds, a storm is not far off, Ryu." Just as those very words left his own lips, Xiang paused with his own eyes widened at the words he spoke. He hadn't even known the man that stood before him, and yet he spoke with him almost as though they had any form of history with one another. 'What am I talking about...' Questioning his own thoughts, before he could so much as ponder his thoughts however, Ryu had now been charging recklessly forward but yet his movements were much sharper this time.

Gritting his teeth at the unpredictable attack that was coming straight for him, Xiang focused his breathing to a much slower state. Inhaling deeply before exhaling, panicking would only make his situation much worse. By the time Ryu had approached close enough, Xiang instantly inhaled sharply before swinging out multiple strikes of punches to match his opponent's. Whether or not any of them would connect or clash with Ryu's punches was to be seen, but even Xiang was not perfect, slipping every so often to have multiple punches land onto his face, chest and gut area.

Meanwhile the entire fight, the audience had been in shock all while they continued to cheer for the two competitors to continue their fight. Out of every tournament each year, this had been one of the greatest bouts they had ever witnessed.

Ryutan couldn't help but smile as he started clashing blows with Xiang. To the crowd it was a whirlwind of a battle, Ryutan being the fierce speed like the wind, and Xiang having the crushing power of a storm. The two would trade blows, clashing a few times while also landing a few blows as well. Their hits began to get faster and faster, and more pressure could be felt emitting from them, it was completely inhuman.

This clash continued for a only a few more moments until Ryutan recieved a clean blow to the face, sending him back to the ropes. He would slump to the ground, as he took a few breaths, trying to recover. His necklace from before had made it's way outside of his top, the snake-shaped charm being visible. Ryu looked at the charm with a smile before putting back under his top before standing up, not ready to back down.

"Haha! I haven't fought like this in a long while, but I ain't backing down. I hope you're not either, Xiang!" Ryutan said with a smile as he rolled his shoulders and wiped the blood that was on his lip away. He was confident he knew who the well-dressed man was, an old friend, an old sparring partner, someone that always use to win against the younger Ryu. But now, Ryu wasn't going to take a loss.

With every second that their onslaught of punches clashed, the entire ring practically shook, the supports under the surface struggling just to hold onto the weight of the two and withstanding the pressure of each of their demonic punches connecting. Just as Xiang had been able to make a solid hit onto Ryu's face however, he had also ended up receiving a hard jab into his stomach causing him to stumble backwards onto the opposite end of the ring. Holding onto his gut, he coughed lightly before bringing his gaze up towards Ryutan who was back up onto his feet and smiling at that.

Even if the sensation of familiarity was there and Xiang continued to reject the idea of knowing the man, he couldn't help but give a toothy smirk of his own before nodding his head to Ryu's comment of not backing down. "Heh, of course not. You're the first one to have ever survived my punches without blacking out immediately. But, I think its about time we finish this, hm?"

With that said, Xiang unbuttoned the top two buttons from his white button-up shirt before rolling up his sleeves towards his elbows. Cracking his knuckles of both hands, Xiang soon formed both his hands into full on fists before flexing their muscles to allow his veins to clearly be seen. "I'm going to put...everything I got into this next one. Don't die on me now." Without any hesitation, Xiang made a full-on sprint prepared for a single punch that either was going to miss and send a shockwave to the crowd behind Ryu and cause injuries on the bystanders or if he made contact with Ryu than it was going to be a decent portion of his true demonic strength used in an open area like this.

Ryu would nod as Xiang asked if it was time they finished this, whole-heartedly agreeing to the statement as he prepared for what Xiang had to offer which seemed like a lot. Battle consumed Ryu's mind for most of the battle so he was ready to dodge Xiang's incoming attack, but that's when it flashed in his mind that something wasn't right about this. He looked to see the crowd watching, and like it was instinct Ryu jumped in the way of the attack instead of dodging it, to prevent the shockwave from harming innocent bystanders.

Having taken the punch directly to the chest, Ryu took the full impact of the hit, shockwave and all. The boy flew back and grabbed the ropes with a semi-tight grip, pausing him long enough for the bystanders to move like before. And then he slammed right into the bleachers, bloodied and bruised from the impact of the punch and hitting the environment. Ryu coughed out blood before forcing himself to stand, despite his legs wanting to give in due to the damage received.

"Now that wasn't too great of you, ya know..." Ryu said as some anger had become present in his eyes and voice. "These people don't need to get hurt because of our fight. They ain't part of it..." His eyes sharpened and veins on his arms became more visible as the damage done to him started to fade due to natural demonic regeneration. "Now I don't know if we're friends like I think I remember... Or if you're someone I need to take down a few notches..."

Just as he expected, Ryu had taken the hit directly to avoid the harmful shockwave that would've injured the civilians behind him after-all. Remaining standing in the ring still, Xiang kept his arms flexed and muscles tight, his veins still clearly seen on his arms as he ended up crossing them over his chest while watching the audience disperse from their seats just before Ryu had gone flying into the stands. The sight of his wound healing before he stood up with anger clearly showing in every aspect of his physical features, Xiang would only end up chuckling to himself while nodding to his opponent's words. 'So...I was right...he isn't normal. Another demon, hm? One that seems to be in control of his bloodlust for humans. Heh, lets see...' As his thoughts wandered, Xiang turned his head from one side to the next just to take a glimpse at the surrounding audience before returning his attention onto Ryu.

"True...but come now, don't you think all these people are getting in the way of our...fun? Imagine, how much fun we could have...if everyone here just dropped dead. An endless...supply of blood for us to feed on, to grow..stronger. Our fight would never have to end...our fun could go on forever..." While Xiang's own persona was nothing like how he spoke at the moment, he wanted to test Ryu's control over his own demonic persona and see if he were to truly care for humans than he would attempt to kill Xiang on the spot. If not, if he were to agree to kill the audience, then Xiang would commit to killing this demon here and now. "Friends? Us? I think you got the wrong person. I am sure enough...we've never met. Now, how about we feast a little...before we continue, hm?"

As he spoke, Xiang would end his statement with a toothy grin that revealed his sharpened canines. Yet again, a persona that he would normally look down upon in disgust to see himself using, but in this situation, a mere test was enough of an excuse to do so. Meanwhile, the audience had been struck in shock and fear at the thought of being killed, their attention turning to Ryu as though they were praying to themselves that he would either save them or at least reject the offer.

"Never..." Ryu spoke out as Xiang finished with his statement, glaring at the well-dressed demon with the ferocious eyes of a beast. "No one here deserves to die, they all have families or someone to return to, and I will make sure that they get there without harm..." As he continued his eyes scanned the area around as he found a wooden shinai within the wreckage of the seats. The boy picked it up at took a good look at it before nodding as his gaze returned to Xiang. "I may be cursed with this damned demonic body, but in my soul I am nothing but human! All these people here today... Are under my protection from the likes of you, and any other damned demon that dares infiltrate this place!" Ryu yelled out as the crowd started to cheer a bit for the man who promised their safety, and called for Xiang to be brought down.

"And rest in peace to the friend I once knew. I can clearly see now that he is truly gone, replaced by a vile demon..." Ryu would start to walk towards Xiang, determined to do all he could to stop him, even if all he could do with this blunt weapon is knock Xiang out. As he walked, his breathing would start to sharpen and his focus became unbreakable, even from all the cheer and screams of the crowd. 'I have to end it with one attack, that's all my body will allow me... So let's make it count! Wind Breathing, Ninth Form!' Ryu's thoughts were as serious as he was at this moment as he jumped high above Xiang, glaring down at the man. "Idaten... TYPHOON!" The boy yelled out as he unleashed a devastating attack upon Xiang, and kicking up a bunch of dust.

The crowd looked to the scene as the dust settled, hoping that Ryu had taken down Xiang like he promised to. When the dust had settled just enough, the announcer came out of hiding with a smile as he saw the scene himself, taking the microphone. "We get to leave with our lives today folks, even though it may count as a draw... Marumachi Ryutan stopped Xiang Zhao, who threatened all of our lives!" The announcer said as it was clear that both parties were knocked out completely. Medical staff would go to help Ryutan as the security that hadn't been involved with another incident went to detain Xiang.

Exhaling a low and silent mental sigh, Ryu's ambitions were strong and true after-all. The fact that he had declined Xiang's offer in the end brought about a sort of relief in his body, even while he may have also been a demon, he was able to hold onto his morals and his humanity. Although Xiang knew better than to simply break the act right on the spot now though, the test was still going on and he had to make sure that Ryu's confidence would not be waivered at the last minute. "Then show me. Marumachi Ryutan! Show me your courage and determination to save these people!" As he shouted in response to the fact that Ryu stated that those in the stadium were under his protection, Xiang opened his arms as though inviting his opponent to come at him.

Ignoring the idea that his friend was gone and replaced by a demon, even if this were a test or if it was real, Xiang still believed Ryu was mistaking him for someone else. True enough, Xiang found the male to be also quite familiar, but to be a friend almost seemed impossible.
Within seconds, as Ryu lifted himself up into the air with a shinai in hand, hearing his callout of his attack only had Xiang stand in the center of the whirling gusts of wind. Even while his dress shirt, pants, face, and arms were torn to shreds by the sharp wind blades, Xiang would only stand in place watching his opponent in the air, all while his toothy smirk faded to one of a gentle and warm smile.

In an instant, Xiang focused his muscles into his legs just for him lift himself up into the air with a high-powered jump so that he could reach face-to-face with the male. Once again, giving a toothy grin, Xiang reached for Ryu's face midair before leaning forward so that he could whisper a low mutter into his ear. "Don't ever give up..." With that said, Xiang brought the male's head down towards the center of the ring with a massive eruption before he fell onto his back as well, completely out cold from both exhaustion and his slowly regenerating injuries from Ryu's attack.
The words of the announcer and the cheers were mere murmurs to him, the only thing he could figure was the sensation of being lifted onto a stretcher to be taken to the infirmary.

As Luigi was seeing the action unfolding in front of him, he noticed something was a little off... He noticed a tattoo on the left side of Nobu's neck, making him feel a bit uneasy at the sight of it. Not only was the tattoo wasn't a big deal for him and the other businessmen but something probably needed to be said about it. However, he thought about it for a few seconds.

Indeed, Luigi had been enjoying seeing the fight thus far but Nobu's rather unsettling tattoo kept bothering him. His tattoo was literally a fire-breathing dragon which was nothing special, really. But even so, the suspense was building up around the atmosphere. So he eventually decided to ask Nobu about it.

"Say, is it just me or does your tattoo look suspicious for some reason?" asked Luigi as he rubbed his head in concern.

"I don't think so," Nobu replied as he gave Luigi a curious look. "Why?"

"I don't know, it's just that that tattoo of yours might indicate that you might belong to the yakuza or something like that. Maybe I could be wrong, you know," said Luigi.

"Oh, about that," Nobu chuckled. "Apologies for not telling you about this before but I belong to the Sumiyoshi-kai branch of the yakuza. So even though I am or have been a successful businessman, it does not mean someone will not cheat death, especially someone like me. Do you have a problem with that?"

Usually, despite Luigi not being afraid of someone intimidating and with a hidden weapon at bay, he had a bad feeling about it. If he was to attack Nobu, it would be bad news for him, the businessmen, and the tournament itself and he would've taken the blame for himself if it wasn't for the unfortunate event. But truth be told, he thought of a different way to try to hide his true intentions. "Uh... It's nothing at all," he said nervously, trying his best to keep his composure in check.

The crowd erupted into cheers after Xiang took down his burly opponent with an ease that surpassed normal human capabilities. It confirmed Valerie’s suspicion that he was no longer human. At this revelation, there was a flash of emotion on Valerie’s face, but it went as quickly as it came. Her eyes were once again cold and steely, her countenance impossible to read. She bit her lip as she pondered better days, when a young Valerie would run up to Xiang with a beaming smile plastered on her innocent face. Before she could feel emotions rise up to her chest, she brushed those memories away like a cloud of smoke.

At Xiang’s decree, Valerie inclined her head, her lips curving upward into an amused smile. A demon showing an inclination to uphold justice? Amusing indeed, but that was just like him. If this had been an underground tournament with no cameras to broadcast the match, perhaps she would humor him for old time’s sake. Lately, Valerie had been itching to brandish a real sword once again. She missed the thrill of a battle, but that was now a thing of the past. And rightly so.

A sudden commotion outside pulled Valerie away from her thoughts. She could hear the sounds of battle from a distance, heavy footsteps masked by the carpeted floor, the groans of men and the sound of their bodies being thrown around. Valerie was immediately on high alert, her ears pricking up as she listened intently.

Interestingly, she noticed that Fang had picked up on it too, but an ordinary human would not have heard all the ruckus within these nigh soundproof walls. How curious. There was a look of panic in Fang’s eyes, and Valerie knew why. But she was more interested in knowing how he knew what was coming. The sounds grew closer and closer, until finally, a beep.

A demon slayer, thought Valerie, and it was in that instant that their unwelcome guest barged into the room with one of Valerie’s battered men in his grip. At the sight of his bright blue hair and facial features—the jawbone in particular—Valerie’s eyes widened ever so slightly in recognition. She barely had time to react before Fang made a makeshift weapon out of the top-quality mahogany table, which earned him a disapproving look from the butler, and a sigh of vexation from Valerie.

It seemed that even on a fine evening like this, she couldn’t get a day off. Trouble just seemed to follow her everywhere, like a newly hatched duck that had imprinted on its mother. “Tsk.” Valerie slowly rose from the leather couch.

Fang then swiftly placed himself between Valerie and the infamous bare-boned demon, otherwise known as… Heath. Yes, how could Valerie ever forget that name? He was a friend of Viktor's and the last person to be seen with him, and Valerie half suspected him, half blamed him. She had been meaning to have him scoped out, but he only made things easier for her by showing up on his own. For what reason, though, that was a different matter, but it was all the same to Valerie. If Heath showed up here thinking he could walk out as he pleased, he was wrong.

The ferocious beating of Fang’s heart rang in her ears. His eyes fixed themselves on Heath, fiery and focused. As much as Valerie wanted to witness what this new boy she’d picked up was capable of, she couldn’t have them turn the room into smithereens. She placed a firm grip on Fang’s shoulder, snapping him out of it. "I can't have you face off against a notorious demon on your first day at the job, can I? It's not part of the job description." With a wry smile on her lips, Valerie pushed his shoulder down effortlessly, forcing Fang to fall backwards onto the couch. Her unlikely strength would have taken Fang off guard.

The banging against the door continued to grow louder and louder. It would only be minutes from now before someone came and forcibly opened the door. Ignoring it, Valerie returned Heath's gaze with the intensity of her own. "To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit? Depending on your answer…" Valerie took a few steps closer towards Heath. "I might just have to deal with you myself."

As Luigi continued trying his best to keep his composure in check, it grew more concerning from there. Sure, he wanted to expose the truth to the public and earn a better reputation than before but it was far too risky for him to do that. It just couldn't get any worse for him. Especially when dealing with the unexpected. However, he decided to let Nobu of his intention to expose the truth to the public, even when he had to risk trying and face the consequences from there. "You know what, I'm reporting you to the police in the name of justice! You don't deserve freedom like this!" he spoke in a rather confident manner.

Much to Nobu's surprise, he didn't take it kindly following Luigi's confident but awkward retort. As a result, he gave him an intimidating in an attempt to make him have a second thoughts about reporting him to the police and to avoid taking his own life. "Let me tell you this, if you ever do that then I'll have your head. Or else, unless..." he warned.

Luigi started to sweat from nervousness and Nobu's colleagues were also starting to give him the serious look. Perhaps, he shouldn't threaten him in the first place? "Um, how about we sort this thing out? We could..." he said nervously.

Before Luigi could even finish his sentence, police officers unexpectedly barged into the door via breaching, causing him, Nobu, and the other businessmen to run away from them. "Police! You're under arrest for extortion, gambling, and illegal possession of firearms! Put your hands up where I can see them!" said one of the police officers.

"Crap, they found us! Let's scram before it's too late!" Nobu panicked as he and the other businessmen started to run away from them.

Ironically, they weren't armed with guns or any sort of weapons but they had to capture the criminal one way or another. Certainly, Nobu was that criminal but not Luigi. He decided to run away from them as well because fighting against any sort of law enforcement was against the Demon Slayer Corps.'s code of ethics. Otherwise, he would've made himself the criminal.

As the police officers started chasing after them, Luigi wasn't expecting this situation to turn out for the worse. Suddenly, Nobu and the other businessmen pulled out their guns and started opening fire at them, possibly attracting those close by. "I'm doomed..." he thought, giving off a tearful expression of avoiding death and having his job terminated if he was to attack the police officers out of self-defense to save his own life.

HEATH DISABATINO
  • “You know what'll always disappoint in the long run? A good first impression. A good entrance on the other hand, doesn't care. It'll never fail to get your foot in the door."

Paired with narrowed gleaming eyes, a low whistle glided entertainingly out of Heath's lips as pizza boy made quick work of proving him wrong. In moments, the demon's previous words were nothing but pizza slices on a wooden mahogany board, that was now being held like a blade. Come any closer, the little man's flinty gaze told him. And I'll make you eat your words.

Having provoked such a show out of him, Heath was tempted to accept the challenge. After all, proof was no longer required; the lad could certainly try. But a demon's deal with the world was hardly ever a spoken one. Cursed to only shake hands with blood, where words eaten or not, would only ever be spit out.

Valerie, to Heath's continued amusement, finally made herself known. Like a mother wolf promptly pulling her pup back into the den by the scruff, an effortless shove to the kid's shoulder spelt the end of his fifteen minutes of fame, forced instead to take a backseat as the she-wolf turned the intensity of her attentions onto her main meal.

She definitely looks like she wants to chew me out.

And judging by the sounds of the door behind him, sooner or later she would not be the only one. The corners of his ever-growing grin slipped, regaining a more watchful curve as Valerie approached. If she was anything like her brother in terms of power, Heath knew he could no longer stretch the fun and welcome over. His grip loosened accordingly, letting her battered guard meet the floor with a soft thump.

"The pleasure's all mine, doll. It's not very often I find it so difficult to track somebody down. That's why I'm here."

Despite the term of endearment, Heath was under no illusion that the civility of this little encounter could go crabwise, just as abruptly as that mahogany table. He drew his cloak aside, unsheathing the hidden sword and made a show of tossing it past Valerie, landing next to the little pizza man on the couch.

Heath raised his hands, eyes betraying a flicker of contrition. "You know me as Heath. I went by the code name Heathen working with Viktor. Notorious or not, Bare-Boned Demon or not, that is not who I'm trying to be anymore. No matter what your clan wants to believe."

As if taking advantage of the slight goodwill the surrender of his sword afforded him, Heath took a few steps towards her, leaning in.

"It's simple, doll. You lost a brother, and I lost a friend. He was a mentor to us both. If anyone's got a chance to find him, it'll be us..."

Heath faltered for a moment. Talk about pathetic. But that was the nature of grief. Talking out loud about it so soon still bothered him. Drawing his gaze away from Valerie, Heath instead focused on the baby demon slayer.

"The kid'll probably die," Heath leaned back again, a returning gleam in his eye. "But if he thinks he can handle it, he can get in on it too."

Malina had traveled to a small pond she had transformed into a pool. she had climbed into it and shivered a bit from the cold water along with the cold winter air around her. she lit her hand ablaze and stuck it into the water warming it up to the point steam visibly began rising. she let out a sigh of happiness and comfort as she sunk into the water a little ways. she brought her hand back out and looked as the flames in her hand danced in the wind....she was mesmerized by it. she found it beautiful, stunning, lovely even. she held it close to her body and smiled a bit...she's only ever felt this warm around Kobayashi. she curved her fingers and formed the flame into a ball of fire before flicking her wrist in the direction of a tree. the had been lit ablaze and slowly began spreading to others as she sat there smiling content and happy with her actions. she reached for her bag and brought out a dragon shaped pipe before placing tobacco in the pipe and pushing it down. she lit a small flame on her forefinger and held it close to her pipe and inhaled through it bringing in the flame and lighting said tobacco. she pulled it away from her mouth and blew out a small cloud of grey smoke.

From behind, a hand gripped Fang’s shoulder and pulled back. Caught unaware, his body crumbled into the couch behind him and his makeshift weapon shot forwards from his grip. The end of the stick hit the ground with a dull thud and skidded to a halt. Confused, he looked upwards towards Valerie—the flash of confusion on his face was replaced with a quiet understanding as her intentions became clear. Valerie wanted to handle the situation for herself.

Details, details, he felt like an intruder into whatever this exchange was. Talk of missing brothers, old friends, and potential allegiances. All of it left Fang with a feeling of bewilderment. He couldn't begin to guess the nature of their relationship, or how he could fit in. It was an opportunity at the least, if things went well he would no longer need to rely on Yume for free meals. Still, he kept his eyes trained on the demon, even as it surrendered its weapon. His hand found itself on the hilt of the demon’s sword, his fingers tracing a soft path along it. A plain and flowery gesture is all it would amount to. So many tools were under a demon's arsenal that a human-made weapon would hardly be a threat.

A missing brother, the binding link between the two strangers—a connection that Fang had yet to understand. Fang felt his brow furrow as he stared at Valerie, his gaze shifting back and forth, trying to wrap his mind around this information. His eyes lingered on the demon again and again. To trust this demon, Fang thought it would be a mistake—it was acting too playful, too lackadaisical, after flattening so many humans underfoot. Its coy nature was surely only a thin veil for the sheer malice that lurked beneath. Fang did not know this woman nor the demon enough to vocalize this counsel. He barely understood this situation as it were. For now, it would be safer to hold his tongue; Valerie had the problem under control.

It would not be long before security would breach their room, and they would surely be much more prepared. Whatever Valerie decided, it would have to be soon. Fang felt his body tense, his muscles tight and primed for action. Idly, his fingers dug in at the edge of the couch, his knuckles turning white. In the case that this was just a trap or scheme, he would be ready to create an opening at the door.

The vein in his forehead grew at the second condescending comment to leave the demon’s lips. “The name is Fang, bonehead. And I can handle myself just fine,” Fang retorted, his voice low and slow. His body remained straight and rigid, his eyes fixed on the demon. He crossed his arms as his eyes traced Valerie’s back awaiting her answer. From a simple pizza delivery to getting kidnapped to a new job, and now a confrontation with a sassy demon… Fang could not help but ruminate on the absurdity of the events that led him here.

As the tournament continued on even after Xiang's battle against Ryutan, events of all forms played out throughout the stadium. New friendships and enemies alike were made, some met old friends that they thought they'd never see again, and there were even friendships that were broken. No matter what happened though, it was all done in a sense that still kept the peace amongst the public in the end. That was until the sounds of gunfire went off in one of the VIP booths that caught the attention of many bystanders. The sound of gunfire was never a good sign, screams were heard throughout the stadium as panic soon filled one section after the stadium to another.
While people rushed towards the nearest possible exits, a hooded figure stood on the rooftop of the large building while they gazed down as to how the bystanders that had been watching one fight after another had been so easily frightened by the sound of a few gunshots, humorous to the figure, they soon raised a single hand just to snap their fingers before taking their leave immediately after.

Back in the sea of people, many individuals had suddenly stopped pushing only to begin keeling over on the spot. These random individuals out of the multiple crowds of panicked people soon began to writhe in pain. Their veins bulged out of practically every part of their bodies as their pupils' turned slits, their hues shifting to a pinkish color and their canines become sharp fangs. By the time their transformations had been completed, they had become full on demons. Before anyone in the surrounding area could so much as question those that had changed, these now demonic individuals pounced onto one person after another just to begin tearing away the flesh of innocents with their fangs and claws.
With the sight of death now before them, even more panic ensued the entire building, screams filled the air while some were rapidly silenced by demons killing, others continued as the bystanders all attempted to escape the facility with their lives.

Xiang meanwhile had been taken into the infirmary along with Ryutan and the other contestants that had lost their round. Out cold for a majority of the time he was carried there and even still after reaching the medical station. His slumber lasted all of several minutes before he was woken by the sounds of screams right outside of the infirmary.
Sitting up from his bed, the male would scratch the back of his head before giving a low yawn soon after. His wounds from his fight with Ryu had been healed by this point thanks to his regenerative factor as a demon, although this did not mean his sleep was pleasant considering it was interrupted. "What's with all the ruckus...?" While asking no one in particular, Xiang soon helped himself out of the bed he was given only to glance down at his attire to find that his dress shirt and pants had been torn apart as though he had just gone through a blender. "Tsk. He could've spared me my clothes at least..." Recalling his fight with Ryutan and the final ability the male had decided to use sent blades of wind to cut Xiang apart.

"Well guess we'll see whats goin--" Halted mid-sentence as the metallic double doors to the infirmary was busted open only to reveal what appeared to had been a male security guard who had blood covering his mouth and hands. His drooling angered expression followed by the multiple different traits that were on man's face and body clearly pointed to the fact that he was a demon. The sight of this alone brought a bit of shock to Xiang, how was there a demon here and he did not sense it sooner, and with the demon covered in blood, did it mean it had already fed on a bunch of humans. Gritting his teeth, before the demon could decide and attack any of the other humans in the infirmary, Xiang practically bull rushed the demon just to slam the transformed security guard into the wall adjacent to the infirmary. Knowing well enough that without his weapon, he wouldn't be able to kill a demon completely, the least he could do was knock him out by slamming him with full force into the wall till it formed a massive hole in the cement.

"Hmph. What the hell is going on...?" Questioning himself regarding the fact that he just fought an unexpected demon, Xiang lowered himself to one knee just to place his fingertips of his right hand onto the ground. Focusing onto his surroundings, he shut his eyes before grabbing mental images of demons feasting onto humans and people rushing in all different directions to attempt and escape the stadium. "Are you kidding me..?!" By time he had reopened his eyes, Xiang was in utter shock as well as frustration at the fact that he did not have his weapon with him. Cursing under his breath, he ran through his thoughts as to what he could do in the current situation.

Doc Kobayashi ,or better yet known as Black Death, looked around at the chaos happening all around him. he tilted his head when a now demonic human jumped on him and tried tearing into his body. he merely gripped the demonic human and reared his arm back before tossing it away from him before he stood to his feet and held his young daughter tightly in his hand. he didn't want to take flight as this would possible cause slayers or even the demon causing this chaos to attack him. like the other people he made his way to the nearest exit only to be blocked of by 3 more possessed humans. all 3 pounced on him and started tearing into his large cloak and ripping it apart. he could care less about the cloak by when one reached for his daughter he let out a loud screech temporarily defeaning the 3 demons and even a few humans. he knew this would blow his cover but he didn't care at all. he reared his arm over his shoulder and clenched it into a fist before swinging it into the 3 demonic humans sending them down a couple of stands. he began running once more parts of his now demonic form showing through the torn fabric of the cloak he wore and his daughter now crying in his hand. to him he was protection his child but to others it seemed like a demon had stolen a child and was making it's get away with it

the demon slayer was terrified , his legs felt like they were stuck in the ground , like they were covered in cement.
he held the coat in his hand.
he was sure of it now , xiang is a demon , and his cover has been blown.
he tries to spin around and cut his head off but finds himself unable to move , unabe to put his hand on his sword , unable to even move his hand.
he stood there watching as xiang left.
he felt chocked out and suddently realised he wasnt breathing , as he coughs almost falling on the ground. he quickly spun around and ran into his locker room watching the round . as the two fought he quickly realised that ryutan was also a demon , no one can take that kind of damage without dying , the regenaration made it obvious too but he didnt seem evil , he protected the crowd.
he also realised that xiang wasnt evil either , it was a test , a test for ryutan , but he still felt scared.
as the match ended ryuji swallowed hard before running to the infermary to give xiang his coat back .
as he walked in he saw the security gaurd and xiang on the ground ready to strike . seeing as xiang had no weapon ryuji quickly yelled out for him.
"xiang , catch!"
he throws his red katana to him before using his concentrated breathing getting ready to strike the demon if xiang misses.

While trying to find a way to get away from the police, Luigi found a way to the left entrance downstairs. However, without their knowledge, Nobu and his cohorts kept going straight and the police didn't seem to pay too much attention to Luigi. Therefore, it was successful. But despite that, there were crowds of spectators trying to leave the stadium because they heard gunshots, making it difficult for him to get through with all of the chaos going on.

It wasn't long until one of the police officers found Luigi standing near the crowd, attempting to chase after him. He proved himself wrong after all. Consequently, he had no choice but to blend in with the crowd to lose them. It worked and the police officer struggled to find him and then left him alone in frustration.

He then tried to leave the crowd to regroup with his fellow teammates. He was able to do so right after the spectators had made their way out of the stadium. Now, he was left on his own alone, without anyone in company.

Suddenly, he heard a loud sound coming from afar. There, he saw a demonic-like being and a little girl who might actually be his daughter. It was Doc Kobayashi, much to his unfamiliarity with him.

From what Luigi was seeing, Doc Kobayashi appeared to be in a very bad situation and his cloak looked to be torn. So he pulled out his nichirin blade via a portal and prepared himself for what was to come, positioning himself in a defensive stance. "Should I help this guy or..." he thought, unsure whether or not he should intervene in it.

Heath’s response took her by surprise, and it showed in the way her eyes widened with emotion. At the mention of Viktor’s name, her demeanor changed. Her eyes were softer, more hopeful. She stepped back, her hostility dwindling if only a little. Valerie had presumed she was the only one who believed Viktor was still alive. There was consolation in the fact that there was someone else in search of him, someone who believed that he was out there—living and breathing. Her father had advised her to give up on this fool’s errand, but Valerie ignored the old man. Her gut feeling had never been wrong.

Valerie paused. It was a tempting offer, but she couldn’t fully trust the bare-boned demon. She cocked an eyebrow and studied his face; though he looked sincere, a cloud of doubt still hung over her head. She smirked, “And how do I know I can trust you? You must hold a grudge against my family. This could be a ploy to get rid of me, the person who's next in line now that Viktor is gone.” Valerie's words insinuated that he might have had something to do with Viktor's disappearance. She wanted to get a reaction out of him, bring out his true feelings. If he was responsible for Viktor's disappearance, then it would show on his face.

“And I suggest you drop the term of endearment, before you find a sword through your chest," added Valerie, unamused. She threw a cursory glance at the sword he had tossed in Fang’s direction, narrowing her eyes. Surrendering his weapon didn't mean anything for Valerie. Demons didn’t need weapons. They had weapons in the form of fangs and claws. She knew what the likes of him were capable of, having dealt with so many of them.

With a hand on her hip, Valerie looked from Heath to Fang, considering her options. Despite her doubts, she couldn't refuse working together with Heath, not if it meant possibly finding her brother. It was a risk she was wilking to take. And bringing the boy along would indeed make their search easier, given his senses as a demon slayer, but she wondered if keeping the two around each other was a good idea. She felt that they would go at each other’s throats the moment she left them on their own, and mediating two grown men was going to give her a headache. A demon and a demon slayer who hated each other’s guts, what could go wrong?

Before she could reach a decision, the sound of a gunshot rang in the distance, grabbing her full attention. Valerie hastened toward the window and looked over at the stadium, her eyes widening at the scene playing out before her. Total chaos ensued down below. Despite the soundproof walls, she could hear it clearly: the dreadful screams of the masses, sending a shiver down her spine. She watched as a blood-thirsty demon lunged toward a young woman and easily tore her apart. It started with the death of one, then another, and another. It quickly turned into a massacre. Those damned creatures were everywhere. The guns of the security guards didn't do shit to stop them, it merely angered them more.

Valerie's head whipped towards Takahashi. “Did you bring the weapons?" she asked, her voice laced with urgency. What had caused this sudden outbreak of demons? Her heart pounded loudly inside her chest, but not from fear. She felt a rush of excitement, but she realized her emotions were out of place. There were people dying.

The old butler nodded, his face a mixture of confusion and worry, his wrinkles appearing deeper than normal. “We have an arsenal of nichirin weapons stored in the trunk of the car, Miss Valerie."

The banging against the door ceased. The security personnel were now busy with this new turn of events. They dispersed, junping from the frying pan and into the fire. Without wasting another moment, Valerie moved to pick up Heath’s weapon, tossing it back to him. “You’re going to want to keep that," she said, removing her overcoat and hanging it over one of the seats—it would only get in the way. "Keep us safe till we get to the car, and we have a deal,” Valerie asserted with a nod in Heath's direction.

She then turned towards Fang, adding in a dry tone, "I spoke too soon, looks like you’ll be fighting demons on your first day. I hope the full resume is as impressive as you make it."

"At least you didn't scare her away."
That was the first thought that came to the young girl's mind as Yume seemed eager to collaborate. Chiyoko had two distinct personalities depending on when you met her. Her usual persona was calm, collected, and cool. You can also have hyper Chiyoko, the persona that usually appears whenever the girl is excited about something, with the latter usually having the effect of chasing people away given her usual demeanor.
"I'm sure my fans will be interested to see my elite gaming skills as well."
Her words were clearly sarcastic, and she smiled as she said them. Chiyoko took out her phone, unlocked it, and passed it towards Yune.
"Do you want to give me your phone number so we can plan something? It seems easier than having to sort through the millions of spam dm's I'm sure you get too."
Chiyoko's eyes rolled as she mentioned spam; she swore she'd scream if she got another email from some company asking her to promote a product that was clearly just a reused email sent to 100 other streamers she would scream.

Chiyoko had been distracted by Yume for the majority of the next few fights, but she regretted it because she wanted to learn as much as she could about her opponents so she would know exactly what she was up against, but catching the end of the next fight made the girl rise to her feet. There was no question that Xiang was a demon. The fight had also drawn Chiyoko's attention to this Ryutan, whose strength, skills, and speed screamed demon slayer, especially his last attack, but the words he spoke and the abilities he displayed proved otherwise.
"How many more could there be?"
Chiyoko muttered quietly before reaching into her bag and removing a change of clothes. Changing in front of the opposite gender didn't bother her, especially since she was wearing shorts and a tight crop top underneath her dress.

"Hey Yume, do you believe in the supernatural? For I do, ghosts, spirits, demons the lot."
Chiyoko began to speak, and as she did so, she quickly changed her outfit from formal to more demon slayer esc. Covering her shorts with a short pleated skirt and her crop top with a black buttoned up shirt with the words 'destroy' across the back, over the top of it all a long black and gold haori with flowing, feathered, unique sleeves over her top. Her allegiance was obvious to those who knew the corps; to those who didn't, her clothing style was simply questionable.
"And you should too."
Chiyoko opened her mouth for the second time in a short moment, not giving Yume much chance to respond. Reaching into her bag, she ripped the flooring out, and surprisingly, the sound of velcro could be heard; inside the floor of the bag lay two blades, one much larger than the other; lifting the two blades, a smile appeared on her face as gunfire, panic, and screaming ensued.
"This may sound crazy, but there are people out there doing everything they can to prevent these entities from bare their fangs at society. If you want to know what the hell happened here tonight, come to my dojo one day, but for now, get out while you can."
Slinging the large Odachi blade over her shoulder and placing the smaller katana by her waist Chiyoko was ready to go hunt down some demons.

It seemed like Doc Kobayashi responded with violence, unexpectedly alerting Luigi. He saw him holding his daughter's hand tightly as he was trying to protect her from various threats. Not only that but he was being attacked left and right. And to his surprise, he revealed his entire demonic body to others. Luigi was a little terrified of it and didn't say anything about it even though he wanted to.

However, Luigi came up with a plan to try to take Doc Kobayashi down no matter the risks. And besides, he wanted to prove himself how fearless he was in attacking and killing demons and climbing through the ranks while doing so. Well, apart from his sometimes cowardly behavior which wasn't a big deal at all. So without hesitation, he attempted to attack Doc Kobayashi with his nichirin blade, delivering strong attacks if successful.

Ko was hungry. It was the one time a year where he snuck into town at night and feasted. He wouldn’t kill anyone, however, he would break into a local hospital’s blood bank and grab a singular bag of the most nutritious -smelling blood he could single out. That was what he had just done. Now, with a warm, fuzzy beanie doubling as a way to cover his horns and protect him from the cold, he was drinking out of the blood bag with a straw that was stabbed into the top like it was a juice box. On top of that, he wore the long, black haori that he had woken up beside years earlier. Though he fully understood the meaning, and had a fairly good grasp of the origin of the coat, he wore it regardless. After all, what mattered to him was that it kept him warm during the cold months.

As Ko was walking back towards the outskirts of the city, ready to head back to his cabin, something caught his attention. Ever so faintly, he heard screaming. Lots of horror, screaming, and fighting. It was enough to make him curious and want to inspect further, but he also knew that something bad must be happening wherever that sound is coming from. Regardless, he walked down the empty streets and closer to the sound. As the echos of screams and the scent of blood grew stronger, he saw what was happening. There was blood galore, citizens running for their lives and screaming in terror. And then, there were demons. The ones causing the chaos and disarray that had taken over the venue and street. As he walked closer and further surveyed the area, he caught a glimpse of a mysterious, hooded figure disappearing from the scene. He was gone as soon as he arrived, which piqued the interest of the boy, but not enough to actually gauge any intense reaction. Whatever happened, happened at this point. What concerned the demon more, however, was the events taking place by the arena. He walked towards it, still sipping on his bag of blood, and walked by the commotion with ease so he could make his way inside.

At first glance, to any bystanders, it wouldn’t make much sense to see a human-looking boy walking walking through bloodshed and hordes of demons with ease. But, with a closer look, it was clear that there was more to the story.

Moving through the crowds, eventually the boy found himself in the stadium. There was plenty of blood, which was a given after seeing the events even outside. Upon further inspection Ko was able to piece together that it must be some sort of fight club… or something along those lines. In all honesty, he had no idea what could have happened there. The possibility of demons working together to crash such an event is unlikely, which makes it even more odd. Whatever the case may be, something was definitely fishy. Maybe if he searched a little more, he could figure something else. That, or he could just go home. It really wasn’t his business, anyways, and the saying ‘curiosity killed the cat’ is definitely a warning he should heed. Who knew how much time was left until sunrise? He surely didn’t.

After missing an attack against Doc Kobayashi, Luigi managed to prevent himself from losing balance after he grabbed and tossed him away. He safely landed on the ground, slowly getting himself up afterward. Considering how Doc Kobayashi carefully planned to avoid an attack like that successfully, he tried to come up with a different strategy.

Perhaps, if he was to use one of his special abilities, it might be an effective attack. Therefore, he used his special ability, Groove Style, Dance of Love Fragrance, in the hopes of bringing Doc Kobayashi into submission. Maybe not. The outcome?

Doctor Kobayashi growled at Luigi and spoke: "ㄥㄩ丨Ꮆ丨....ㄥ乇卂ᐯ乇 爪乇 卂几ᗪ 爪ㄚ ᗪ卂ㄩᎶ卄ㄒ乇尺...山乇 卂尺乇 Ꮆㄖ丨几Ꮆ" (Luigi...Leave me and my Daughter..we are leaving). Despite his voice sounding distorted and incomprhensible somehow he made sense of it. Doctor Kobayashi turned to face him and place his daughter on his back in case conflict between the 2 where to break out. Kobayashi stared at Luigi cautiously and reacting to his every move. the red irises in the skull like face he had seemingly staring deep into the slayer

Looking at phone being handed to her, Yume gave a simple nod of her head. Taking it, she quickly typed in her contact information and handed it back. "Feel free to text me any time! Doesn't need to be only for setting up this collab!" she chimed. It was clear she was more than excited to be getting along with someone else, almost so much so that she had nearly forgotten where she actually was.

Allowing her blissful excitement to pass, Yume mentally reminded herself of where she was. It was at that time she reached up and pulled the mask back down over her face, not wanting anyone else to pick up on who she might be. While it was unlikely that they people here would actually know who she was, she still wanted to be careful, just in case, especially if the demon she was after still remembered her face. She doubted he did, yet it was a safety measure.

Pushing the thought from her mind, her gaze followed Chiyoko as she got up and moved to change from the dress she was currently wearing. A faint shade of red blanketed Yume's cheeks and immediately, she turned her head away, finding it rude to sit and stare while the other changed. Doing such a thing seemed rather, inappropriate, to put in the lightest terms. From her reaction alone, it was clear she was not used to others doing such a thing in front of her, even if they were the same gender. It was a small quirk she had, though who could blame her. It wasn't as if she was around others in such situations often enough to worry about such things. She was admittedly a loner most the time, despite what her bubbly personality hinted at otherwise.

When she figured the other was done changing, the teen lifted her gaze once again and instantly took notice of the familiar Demon Slayer uniform. While it wasn't exactly like her own, it was similar, and not hard to notice. Gasping softly, Yume quickly stifled her surprise, knowing she couldn't blow her cover so easily. Still, she couldn't believe what she was seeing. It all made sense given what she knew of Chiyoko, but to think she would so casually meet and find out about her being a slayer was a lot for the streamer to take in. Right then and there, she wanted to blurt out how she too was one yet her own stubbornness held her back.

Even if she wanted to comment, the sounds of screams coming from outside caught her ears far sooner than the others present. Trouble was brewing, and from the sounds of it, it was something dangerous. Yume could only assume the worst; demons. Shivering at the thought, she felt panic rise in her own chest, knowing she had come entirely unprepared for a situation like this. She knew she should have tried sneaking her sword in. It was too late for now. She couldn't change what was already done.

Instead, her attention shifted back to Chiyoko as she spoke to her, asking if she believed in the supernatural. Bobbing her head slowly, Yume finally rose to her feet again. "I do," she started. "There are so many things in this world that are unexplainable without believing in such." Before she could say much more, she heard the other girl go on, suggesting that she leave and go to her dojo later if she wanted to learn about what was about to happen. It was then she was forced to make a decision. Lowering her head, Yume felt troubled, unsure of how to approach the ordeal. Even if she did come clean and admit she knew what everything was, she doubted she could convince Chiyoko to hand her a sword. Besides, she wouldn't want her to. There was no telling how her sword would resonate with Yume's breathing style. Blades were made to fit their wielders after all.

Biting down on her lip, Yume gave a defeated nod. "I understand, but I assure you I know what's about to happen here," she said, allowing a frown to form beneath her mask. "I'll retreat for the moment, but only until I have my own sword in hand, then we'll fight side by side. Got it? No dying on me!" Her voice was firm, and her eyes like daggers glaring from under her mask. She could only hope that was enough to get her point across for now.

She didn't wait for a response as she pushed herself forward, using her hearing to guide her towards the safest route outside. The less sound, the better, or so that is what she chose to believe. As she ran along, she dug into her pocket to pull her phone out, knowing she wouldn't have enough time to run all the way home and return. She'd have to rely on a friend for help. Clicking the name Kenshin, the call quickly went through.

"KENSHIN!" Yume shouted, clear urgency sounding in her voice. "I need you to go to my apartment right now and grab my sword. Please! Please! Please!" Her insistent begging took the male on the other end off guard and for a moment he didn't speak. He wasn't sure how to, yet from the way she spoke, he knew he had to reply. "Yume, why? What's happening?!"

Yume groaned at his question, knowing she had no time to explain. Even if she did, he'd blow her off saying she was chasing myths. "Look, I don't have time to explain. I need that sword. Bring it outside the pizza place we always go to, and fast! People's lives are in danger and I need to help them!" Before he could even respond, the girl hung up to avoid his protest. While he meant well and didn't want her doing stupid things, she knew he would give in to her request, even if it was clearly dangerous. No matter how much he believed demons weren't real, she knew deep down, he knew the truth, especially with the number of times she had ended up hurt out of the blue. He was the only one she could trust in this situation.

Marumachi Ryutan
Ex-Demon Slayer
Tokyo, Japan
Ryutan would wake up suddenly, breathing heavily as he looked down at himself and around to see the infirmary area he had been taken to after being knocked out. The demon boy would sigh of relief for a moment before a familiar scent entered the room, blood... human blood. While his scent of smell wasn't the greatest there was no denying that being a demon gave him the ability to smell out the blood of a human better than all other scents. He almost gagged upon smelling the putrid musk, but knew that with this scent came a danger greater than what he had thought there to be at this arena. Getting out of the infirmary bed, he would stretch a bit before starting to leave the area.

Being placed in a different sector than Xiang to prevent a battle breaking out as they woke up, Ryutan found himself in the hall to the waiting areas rather quick but was met with an unwelcomed foe. One of the humans that had been completely transformed into a demon stood in his way of reaching the room where his bag laid in wait. But instead of allowing the demon to even start running at him, Ryu dashed forward and slammed the demon's head in to the wall. One of the men that was in the same room as Ryu peeked out which caught the boy's attention immediately. "You there, get me my duffle bag. I'm going to need it." Without argument, the man returned into the waiting room before peeking out the door once again and throwing Ryu his bag.

Not bothering to open the bag, Ryu tore it open and grabbed a weapon that seemed to have a shortened sheathe. "Kid, you're not going to fight those things... are you?!" The man asked in shock, sure Ryu had fought against crazy foes like the well-dressed man he just drew with but there was multiple of the demons now. With a smirk, the boy unsheathed the broken blade and sliced the head off of the demon he was holding with ease. "I'm not only going to fight them. I'll turn these demons to ghosts, and send them back to hell." As the demon in the hall faded away, Ryu would change his grip on the nichrin weapon to a reverse grip like a dagger before making his way out to the main area where demons were feasting on any innocent bystander that had been left in the dust of the carnage surrounding them.

As he entered the arena's center once again, Ryu's eyes met with the scene of two demons about to attack a family that had been shoved aside while others escaped. Not allowing the carnage to reach the group, he jumped forward and kicked one of the demon's to the ground before throwing the other one into the wall.
"Go. Find an exit as I deal with these fools." Ryu said to the family which had left to run away after saying their thanks to the boy, as the demons stood they quickly started combat with Ryu by attacking him at the same time. Thinking this as a simple warm-up, Ryu would dodge the continuous strikes from the duo before slicing the demon's heads off with a few quick swipes of his weapon. "Now... who's next."

After ramming the now demonized security guard into the hallway wall forcibly to knock him out, it was only a matter of time that the demon would eventually awaken from his unconscious state due to his own demonic regeneration abilities followed by how much blood he must've consumed before reaching here. By the time the guard had awakened, Xiang stood over his body with a rather annoyed look upon his face. While at the time of barging into the infirmary, the guard was in a crazed lust for more human blood, after such an attack, he was able to understand that Xiang was a demon as well, which only raised questions. "H-hey! Wait a minute, you're a demon too! What're you doing hitting me?! C'mon man! The boss gave the order, its an all you can eat buffet! Let's get to eating!" The guard laughed as he attempted to form a friendship with the fellow demon who towered over him.

Rather than respond to the demon, Xiang remained silent as he stared down at the male with both his hands balled up into fists the entire time. Knowing well enough that he wouldn't be able to kill any of these demons without his weapon, he could at least pummel and tear his enemies apart so that they wouldn't be able to do any further harm to others while they had to take the time to regenerate. No matter how powerful the demons throughout the stadium were, surely, none of them were strong enough to have high speed regeneration yet.
Just as Xiang flexed his arms to prepare and beat the guard into the ground, the sudden callout to his name caused both him and the demonized guard to turn their attention towards the end of the hall only to witness what appeared to had been the competitor from earlier that Xiang handed his coat to earlier. "L-look out! That kid's a Demon Slay--" As the demonized guard attempted to warn his fellow demon, the sight of Xiang grasping a hold of the nichirin blade brought a false excitement to the guard. "Hah! You're dead now ki--....Huh...?" In the midst of the guard's statement, before he could fully finish his sentence, he found that his once straight vision was now viewing the ceiling and eventually everything was upside down. While it had taken a moment, the demonized guard soon realized that his head had just been decapitated and by a fellow demon at that.

"Wh-What're you doing?! Why are you helping that kid?! He's going to kill you too, you're a demon like me--!" Exclaiming while his head slowly disintegrated along with his body as it flailed around. Xiang the entire time stared at the severed head without a word in response before sheathing and tossing the blade back towards Ryuji. "Get going kid. There are surely a lot more of them around. When you get some time, head back to the ring. It'll be the easiest place for us to make sure none are still around. Oh, and I'll take that coat off of your hands. Thanks for keeping it clean."
After retrieving his coat once more and slipping himself back into it, Xiang made sure to dust off any remnants of debris that had gotten on the sleeves or shoulders before buttoning up the first two buttons at the bottom. Moments after putting his coat back on, a familiar ringtone went off in his pocket yet again. Removing his phone from his pocket only to find that it was his boss yet again, Xiang exhaled a deep sigh as he proceeded to answer the call while walking down the hall towards the direction of the center ring of the stadium.

"Xiang! Are you alright?! I saw on the tv that some maniacs started tearing people apart! I can't see anything now, last thing we saw was some crazy lunatic jumped the cameraman and all that was left suddenly after was just red! The entire channel is just static now, what's going on?!" With his boss shouting in concern and confusion on the phone, Xiang had to hold the phone slightly at a distance from his ear to avoid practically going deaf in one ear. "Relax boss, everything is fine. Um, well maybe not exactly fine...There's some good news and bad news. Bad news is...I kind of won't be getting that prize money most likely and the suit? Kind of torn up at the moment. Good news? I'll probably be at work a lot sooner than expected." Conversing with his boss who was practically baffled at the fact of how Xiang was so calm regarding the situation after what little the customers and his boss had just witnessed on the television before the feed had been cut. "Uhh..w-well, is there anything I can do to help?" As his boss questioned him, Xiang paused in the middle of his walk only to ponder on the thought.

"Actually, there is. You know that long box I carry into work every day? The one in the cabinet to the right of the Jack Daniels, second drawer down? Yeah, that. Can you...y'know, bring that here for me? Just bring it to the entrance of the parking garage. I'll meet you there and take it from you. After which, you can leave." The entire time Xiang spoke, his boss had already been in the process of pulling out the drawer and dragging out the long suitcase that he had seen his employee carry to and from work every single day. The contents inside the case was always a mystery to him as well his co-workers and it wasn't as though none of them had attempted to open it, just the amount of number codes required to open it seemed nearly impossible to crack. "Alright! I'll be there in like ten minutes!"
