Demigods and Titans - Scion IC Thread

Inside the van, completely ignoring the fact he was getting blood on himself and her, he had been looking for some loose napkins to try and hold against the wound in her head to get it to stop bleeding.

With his other hand, he was busy bring her wrists to his mouth to try and bite through the zip ties. Feral? Perhaps. But he didn't exactly have a pocket knife. Nor really thought to ask for one. Not that it matter all that much. He drank his milk and brushed and flossed every day, so his pearly whites were effectively daggers anyway.

"Mebbe hee tittens arted anging ee'le." (Translation, maybe the titans started banging people) Johnny said off handedly while chewing on plastic. He wasnt being all that serious about it though.

"Or hebbee hair hanhires." (Or maybe they are vampires), he added. Recalling what his master said about blood and stuff.

"Ciarán," says the lanky Irishman, by way of introduction, "and a pleasure it is to meet ye, even on a battlefi- ah here, ye wild wee bollicks," he interrupts himself, offering Johnny one of his clean knives to cut the bindings.
"My money's on some sorcerous prick siphoning the ichor out the poor captured kids," he offers, casual despite the circumstances. "Some pure Thule Society knobhead with silly robes and a Titan's horrible finger on his shoulder."

At Ciarans offer, Johnny glanced over his shoulder and reached for the blade. "Mighty kind." He said, releasing the zip ties from his teeth. "Thanks."

He would then see the bindings promptly cut. "What the scotsman said." Came him finally in agreement. "Probably some real lovecraftian shit if they be going through that much trouble to them alive. I swear, in that van they had almost enough firepower in there to make Burt Reynolds cream his pants."

"I'm Johnny, by the way."

With the directions given from Ryan, Athos makes it to the hotel that this other band of Scions are staying in. Once the car stops, everyone is able to pile out of it like the biggest clown car in the world and stretch out some of the kinks in your spines.

Ryan leads everyone around to the rear door of the Hampton Inn, where it is a short trip to a small bank of five elevators. Fate seems to be with you at the moment, because there is no one around to see you as the elevator doors open and you are able to make your way up to the seventh floor with no one spotting you. Then it is a quick zip down the hall to room 718, and you now find yourselves in a rather comfortable room with all the comforts of home.

In the room ahead of you is a woman that you recognize as the archer from on top of the school building. She helps to get everyone inside, making the room a little crowded with all eight of you in there. The woman introduces herself as Susan, and she then looks over at Dawn and asks, "Will you help me clean her up a bit? Seeing the guys standing over her might freak her out even worse than what she's already gone through. Poor kid."

By this point, the bleeding head wound on the girl has finally stopped oozing blood, but she is still very much a mess. Her uniform is a total loss, and Susan gets into one of the suitcases in the room and pulls out a change of clothes, obviously hers, but Sue is a much closer fit in size than either one of the men.

While that is going on, Steve is working his way out of the fancy samurai armor, shaking his head at the many bullet holes in it. He seems to be more worried about it than his own injuries, which you must admit are healing up much faster than a non-Scion would.

As everyone is starting to wind down, Ryan turns on the tv and says, "Lets see what the local news is reporting about this."

Sure enough, the screen shows a live view from a news helicopter that is over the school, with what appears to be every cop car in New York parked around the area. The voice over from the news anchor is saying that there is an active shooter situation at the school, and the police are going through and are clearing the building, getting the students and staff out while searching for the gunmen. The camera pans around to show a line of students being escorted out of the building by police, then the camera shifts its view over to show a group of forms covered in tarps on the ground; obviously the gunmen that were taken down. A real chaotic mess, and it has only just begun.

Turning the girl over to the girls, Johnny left them too it. Sure, she wouldnt get to wake up and see her knight in shining armor, but at least she wasnt about to be freaked out more than need be.

He went back to congregate with the other guys.

"Well, Sam, at least you can use it as a sieve." He said to the samurai. "How are you feeling?" Sure, Steve seemed okay. But with things winding down, it never hurt to check in those who took some beating.

When the YV was turned on, his attention shifted. Watching the news unfold.

"Andy had said there was several abductions going on. I had figured they were low key and taking the subtle approach. I really wasnt expecting then to go all arms on a fully loaded school."

Johnny crossed his arms. "So what happened before we arrived?"

Steve grimaces when Johnny makes his comment about the armor, and he lets out a sigh, followed by a slight wince of pain. "I'll be ok soon enough. One of the gifts I have gotten from my dad is that I heal fast. I'm more pissed off about how bad my armor is ganked up, though. It is supposed to be magic, and has been worn by many great warriors in Japan's past. I get that there were no automatic weapons made back then, but those bullets really cut through the armor like it wasn't even there. I hope that I can get this fixed up at the Shao-Lin temple I go to." He leans back, closing his eyes and begins to meditate.

Johnny crossed his arms. "So what happened before we arrived?"
Ryan answers this one. He says, "Sue has the gift of Prophesy from her parent, Bastet. We've been trying to follow up on the rash of missing kids, and Sue was able to get a vision about a fellow member of her own Pantheon that goes to this school that was about to be targeted for a snatch. When we showed up, we saw that we were almost too late, as the shooters were hauling out the girl. We charged in with our swords while Sue hauled out her bow, and I was expecting a easy fight, but you all saw how things were going. Those guys were just taking everything we were dishing out and kept coming back for more. I was really afraid that they were about to bolt when you guys showed up. If it weren't for you, I think we would have lost her."

In the bathroom, Sue begins the delicate work of cleaning up the girl. If Dawn does decide to join her and help, you can see that this girl is a pretty one, probably thirteen or fourteen years old. Between the two of you, the cut on her head is cleaned up and bandaged, and as you are finishing getting her patched, her eyes slowly open up and she starts to look around. Sue smiles at her, and Dawn can feel a very calming feeling coming from the other Scion. "Hey, sleepyhead. I see you finally decided to join us. Its ok. You are safe with us. We are friends, and managed to save you from getting taken by those bad men. Can you please tell me your name?"

The teen girl swallows the budding scream, but looks ready to panic at a moment's notice. She finally nods and stutters out, "H-Heather. M-my name i-i-is Heather. Where am I? Who are you? What are you going to do to me?"

Made Johnny quite glad that he didnt get shot. With a frown, he said, "Hmm, well either it isnt magic. Magic isn't all its cracked up to be. Or their weapons arent ordinary. Some special bullets or something. If I had the foresight, I would have picked up one of their guns so we would have known for sure."

"A shaolin temple, huh? Figured a shinto shrine would be more up your alley."

The man shifted his attention to Ryan. "You can thank Dan for that. If it wasnt for her birds, we might not sped through the last stretch as we had."

"I do feel kind if bad about the girl though. I didnt know she was in the van when I smacked it. Would have been more careful if I did."

"Yall did good at least. Things could have gone a lot worse if you weren't there. They would have been long gone before we even arrived."

"A fine mess altogether," Ciaran says, finding something to lean against at the edge of the room. "A shame too there wasn't time to grab one of the bastards to ask a few pointed questions. Have ye any bright ideas about who they are yet?"
Prophecy, he thinks, aye there's a trick to pull out of the bag next.

Sitting down on the edge of the sink to try and give Heather some room and avoid a total panic, Dawn says, "Hi Heather. I'm Dawn, and we are going to be taking you back home to your parents as soon as we can safely do so. You are in a hotel at the moment, and you have hit your head and had some bleeding to clean up that we're working on. Your blouse is pretty dirty; why don't you slip this on and you can come out and say hello to the others that saved you from your kidnappers? Then, if you wouldn't mind, could you tell us about what happened from your point of view?"

With a shaky nod, Heather turns her back and slips out of the bloody uniform blouse and slips on the change of clothes. After she is fully dressed again, she lets you lead her out of the bathroom and into the main room where everyone is watching the tv. Still somewhat scared, the teen girl is clinging to the sides of Dawn and Sue as she takes in the odd bunch of men now crowded into the bedroom. In a shy voice, she says, "Um, hi."

Sue looks over at the other Scions in the room and says, "Guys, this is Heather. She's still a bit traumatized by the events of the day, so if you don't take it easy on her, you'll get a nasty cramp from my size nine shoes going up your ass. Now Heather, let me introduce you to this bunch of misfits. That one is Ryan, and this is Steve. I don't quite remember what your names are, sorry. I just met the others today, and I've had you to worry about. Now, when you are ready, can you tell us what happened?"

Heather nods. "Uh, yeah. I was in History class with Professor Klein, and we were going over our projects about the American Revolution that are due next week. I'm writing about President Washington, and trying to list the different myths that people believe compared to the actual facts about the man. Stuff like . . ." She stops suddenly, looking embarrassed. "You really don't care about that, do you? You meant the men that grabbed me." Heather manages to pry her hands free from Dawn's arm and slowly sits down on the edge of one of the beds. "We were in the middle of class when we heard several loud pops. At first, I didn't know what it was, but Professor Klein seemed to realize that the noise was a shooting. He told us to get under our desks and was on his way over to lock the door when it burst open."

Tears well up in Heather's eyes as she remembers what happened next. "Th-they shot Professor Klein! H-he's dead, all because he was trying to save us!" She starts to sob, then, as she relives the whole experience. "Those monsters shot Professor Klein, then pushed into the room. They didn't say anything, but just made a beeline to my desk and yanked me out from underneath it! Then, out in the hall, I saw Mr. Everett, the school's security guard, on the floor, all shot up. He was dead, shot by the men because he tried to stop them." Tears are flowing freely as she continues to tell the story. "If it weren't for you, they would have taken me away. I would probably be dead, too, after they did whatever it is that they had planned for me."
