Ciarán

Ciarán braces for impact, and prepares to roll out of the door to find his feet, hoping to strike while the enemy are still disorientated.

Athos continues to race forward, one hand on the wheel and the second on the door handle, ready to jump out just before impact with the men in the tactical gear.

Grey Grey is up first. You can jump out for your move action, and if you make a Dex + Athletics roll with at least 3 successes, you will have a full combat action left to you once you are out. If not, you'll use your action getting to your feet.

Current Order of Initiative
0 - Ciaran <====
1 - Gunmen 1-2
2 - Samurai
3 - Athos, Archer
4 - Gunmen 3-4, Claymore
5 - Dawn, Johnny
6 - Gunmen 5-6 both injured

Before the car hits and scatters the foe like a hawk crashing through a murmuration of starlings, Ciarán throws the car door open and hurls himself out - aiming to hit the ground rolling and come up swinging.

I also have Cat's Grace, if that applies at all.

Psychie Psychie

Would this knack keep me from that exit penalty? With a stunt if need be.

Cat’s Grace
This Knack imbues a Scion with the uncanny ability to remain on his feet despite treacherous terrain or an enemy’s best attempts to knock him down. For instance, a character with this Knack never suffers knockdown (see p. 198) from an attack. The player need not even roll. The character still suffers the damage, but he remains on his feet. Furthermore, a character with this Knack ignores all difficulty penalties based on unstable footing and treacherous terrain. He still suffers speed penalties for moving through ankle- to kneedeep water or mud, but his dice pools for actions taken on such terrain suffer no penalties.

I also have Cat's Grace, if that applies at all.
Well then! No need to roll for either of you! Ciaran leaps out of the car with a tumble, and you come to your feet near the guy with the Claymore. Immediately, you can sense the divine spark to him and the samurai, and, strangely enough, the same feeling can be said of the six gunmen, even if it feels a bit . . . weaker . . . for some reason. The sensation is full strength when it comes to the two guys with the swords, though.

Rolling to his feet with unexpected grace, Ciarán immediately lays a hand on the nearest gunman's shoulder, snarls "fucking pigs," and smashes his forehead right into the bridge of the man's nose.

Speed 4 Attack

Also, please help me out by posting the attack Speed of your actions so I can place you correctly in the combat order. Weapons have their own Speed, usually at a 4-6.

Ciaran's effort to headbutt the man is less than spectacular. Even with your Epic Dex, the gunman is able to keep out of the way of the blow.

Gunmen 1 and 2 both are able to leap out of the path of Athos' car with amazing agility, and they hardly break their stride when they turn and spray the samurai with a hail of bullets. Blood sprays, and the figure in the ancient armor is staggered, but he is still on his feet. Gunmen 5 and 6 are not as nimble, and they both get rammed by the car and are now sprawled out on the ground, unmoving.

The samurai takes a deep breath, and as you watch, some of the bullet wounds visibly close up. As he does this, he counterattacks gunman 1, cutting into him pretty deep. Amazingly enough, despite the very real damage done to the man (being run through by a katana is no laughing matter), he is still fighting.

Athos rolls to his feet with ease, even if he is not as nimble as Ciaran, and goes into the fight with a set of brass knuckles on his hands. He swings on the stabbed gunman and clocks him good.

From the rooftop, the Archer stands up and raises her bow, firing an arrow into the wounded man, and finally, he falls.

Grey Grey is up again; one advantage to the low Speed of a punch

Current Order of Initiative
0 - [Ciaran]
1 - [Gunmen 1-2]
2 - [Samurai injured]
3 - [Athos], [Archer]
4 - Gunmen 3-4, Claymore, Ciaran <====

6 - Gunmen 5-6 both injured/down, Gunmen 2
7 - Samurai injured, Athos

9 - Archer

Ciarán casually turns his miss into a pirouette, letting a knife slip from his sleeve and into his hand before using the momentum to sling it underhand at the man he'd failed to hit.

Speed 6

Gunman 3 gets stuck by the thrown knife, with a total of one success to hit. Go ahead and roll damage. His soak is 4 lethal.

Gunmen 3 and 4 both continue to pour fire on the samurai, and with another spray of blood, he drops to one knee, wheezing and spitting out blood. He's in bad shape, but still alive.

The Scion with the Claymore swings his heavy sword, and with a lucky strike, he manages to decapitate Gunman 2 with a single blow.

There are now just 2 gunmen still on their feet, but both Gunmen 5 and 6 are starting to move.

D. Rex D. Rex and Sherwood Sherwood are up, and Grey Grey has his damage to roll.

Current Order of Initiative

4 - [Gunmen 3-4], [Claymore], [Ciaran]
5 - Dawn, Johnny <====
6 - Gunmen 5-6 both injured/down
7 - Samurai injured, Athos

9 - Archer, Gunmen 3-4,
10 - Claymore, Ciaran

Waiting until the last minute, just after the car knocked through the gunmen, Johnny pulled a small one and a half foot stick from the tube on his back. As he leaped into the air from the car, the stick grew into a full length bo staff.

He would land himself between the injured samurai and the gunmen, flourishing his staff. Its soon making it a blur only to suddenly stop.

Johnny took a defense gesture in front of the samurai, and with a waggle of his finger, dared the gunners to attack instead.

"Weren't you ever told not to bring a knife to a gun fight?" The martial artist quipped. Not that he was one to talk given he only had a stick.

Psychie Psychie Defending the Samurai, if I may

Dawn drops down from the sky with her sword in hand, aiming to cut into Gunman #3 with her sword she received from her father. With the momentum of her flight speed, she sticks the blade out in front of her and tries to completely impale the man.

6 successes to hit.
Boons of Wind's Freedom and Phase Cloak are both active. Both are scene long in duration. Rolling for the effects of the Phase Cloak.
6 Successes, giving me:
New Moon - 4 - Mundane detection attempts fail automatically. Stealth rolls against supernatural detection receive eight bonus successes

Dawn slams into the gunman, but just bounces off of his armor without doing any damage.

After getting hit by the car, Gunmen 5-6 both begin to get to their feet.

The injured man in the samurai armor takes another deep breath, and while fighting against the pain, swings on Gunman 5, slicing into him pretty deep. He doesn't look like he can take much more.

Athos hauls off and swings his beefy fist into the head of Gunman 5, and with a sickening crack, the man drops to the ground with his neck at an odd angle.

D. Rex D. Rex is up

8 - Johnny <====
9 - Archer, Gunmen 3-4, Dawn
10 - Claymore, Ciaran
11 - Gunman 6 injured
12 - Samurai injured

At that point, both. Gunman 5 is down after getting clocked hard in the head. The samurai is badly shot up, and is out of Legend points to fuel his Self Healing Knack.

I will continue to defend then.

Johnny tasks. "Come on, mate. Stay back now before you get good dead. Let them three take care of it."

The chinese scion put a hand on the samurai's shoulder tapping it for emphasis. "We didnt come here to help you just so you could keep over."

"Who are they after anyway?"

Despite being as talkative as he was. His eyes were glancing from gunman to gunman. The bo staff being deceptively at the ready to defend.

Stepping up, Johnny is able to put himself in position between the samurai and the three gunmen.

Sherwood Sherwood , you are up with Dawn

8 - [Johnny defending other]
9 - Archer, Gunmen 3-4, Dawn <====
10 - Claymore, Ciaran
11 - Gunman 6 injured, Johnny
12 - Samurai injured

Feeling pissed off that her surprise attack was more of a failure, Dawn lands on the ground between Gunmen 3 and 4, and channels her Legend to activate her Boon of Tidal Interference. She then follows up with a savage swing on Gunmen 3 with her sword, trying to do some serious damage while they are off balance.

8 successes to hit
Spending 4 Legend to decrease the DV of the two gunmen by 4 each. This is a effect that works for all attackers trying to hit them. This is a scene-long effect.

Boons of Wind's Freedom and Phase Cloak are both active. Both are scene long in duration. Rolling for the effects of the Phase Cloak.

You are able to connect with all 8 of your successes. His soak is 4L. Go ahead and roll damage.
