Demigods and Titans - Scion IC Thread

The archer may not see Dawn due to her Boon, but can see the effects of her sword strike on Gunman 3 and how off-balance he is. She looses an arrow that plunges into his chest. The wounded gunman drops his weapon as he gasps for breath. He is fumbling at his belt for something.

Gunman 4 is stumbling under the effects of the Tidal Interference, but his aim is still good. He is going to try and get a shot off at the samurai. D. Rex D. Rex your Knack of Whirlwind Shield can be used to apply against this. He has a total of 5 successes to hit.

Grey Grey is up, and D. Rex D. Rex you can please give me a Perception + Awareness roll.

Does 1 allow me to see it? And if I do somehow see it, is it possible to bat it back at them?
 
You did see it, and he has not yet pulled it off of his belt. He's wounded, and is moving slow. If he throws it, you can then try to baseball swing it out of the area with your staff.
 
Like lightning, Johnny's reflexes kicked in the moment the trigger was pulled. The staff became a blur as it spun around like whirlwind. To expertly block bullets with the indestructible bo staff.

"Guy's got a grenade!" He called out, though wasnt in much in a position to point it out. The samurai guy was looking rough. Right now he needed to protect him. As they didnt know which of the scions yet was the one in danger.

As such was fully aware of that grenade guy. Couldnt afford that to go off near them.

Ciaran's thrown knife finds a opening in Gunman 6's armor and sinks in deep, with a large bloom of dark red blood. With a slight shudder, he falls to the ground, blood pooling around him.

The guy with the massive Claymore sword hears Johnny's warning about the grenade, and he hauls off and performs a two-handed swing that is a thing of fearsome beauty. With his great strength, he manages to cut the man almost in two before he steps back and appraises the damage that he's done.

While it is clear that the fighting is over with the group of gunmen, the two vans hit the gas and begin to burn rubber out of there to get away from the fighting as fast as possible.

It may be possible to catch up to one of the fleeing vans, but it will be difficult with as fast as they are accelerating away. Off in the distance, the wail of sirens can be heard, very faint, but growing closer.

In the meantime, D. Rex D. Rex is up. What do you do?

How far away are the vans?
 
Johnny gave the swordsman a thumbs up. Good on him. But ince the sound of gunfire died down, the screech of peeling rubber immediately caught his attention.

What the hell! They came storming to the to shoot up the school in their pedovans and didnt even have the balls to finish what they started.


Johnny took off running, and with that start he kicked off the ground with all the force his legs could muster in a grand long jump. Closing the nearly hundred foot gap in a moment.

Unwilling to waste any of that momentum, Johnny hit the ground with a spin, choking one end of his staff, he twisted his body as the staff grew exponentially.

By the time he was three quarters of the way through the rotation, he was using his entire abdomen as a fulcrum to put as much force into the blow as he could.

The staff had grown to an unbelievable 30 feet in length, and was easily over six inches thick. But he handled the massive weight like it was nothing.

With a forceful shout, he drew upon his ki. To finish the spin so as to slam the bo staff into the fronts of both fleeing. To crash into them head on and horizontally with everything he had.

Any carry over successes to apply?
 
You take the 4 soak off of the successes, then add the remainder to your Strength and weapon damage and make your roll, and don't forget to add your Epic Strength in auto successes.
Would 3 str and 2 epic str combine for a str of 5 before applying epic str auto sux?
 
No, it is 3 dice from your Strength, and then two auto successes that you don't need to roll for.
