Hannukah isn't controversial. In fact none of the themes were picked for controversial reasons. However their association with certain politically charged debates could lead people to assume their choice as a statement, so I apologized ahead of time.

Do you see the kind of thing I'm talking about? It's reactions like that. Though your reasons are different. The debate in question is the one where people claim Christmas is everywhere and that is some kind of attempt at imposing...something I guess onto people, or who take offense at being wished "Merry Christmas" for similar reasons. My apology was simply a statement that I am not trying to make any implications by including it as a theme.

And to answer your second question, nobody is punishing you, least of all me. Now may I ask we drop the topic before this thread gets locked over something silly?

Religions in general can be controversial, it all depends on the interpretation of the reader. For the most part we're a pretty easygoing set here, though.
