I'd assume that it'd have to be either a single character, or two who would work together in the event one were to end up Kira, as that would kind of lower the fun of the game aspect of figuring out whose Kira due to one of the non-Kira's being played by the same person playing Kira.


 
Also, since my character has a sister, should I post a CS for her, in the event I should have her in the roleplay?

That's kind of the plan. I want one of my characters to be a Kira-follower. That way, whomever the Kira is, can contact me through the shinigami and I'll do their bidding.

Erika is the daughter a large CEO head and his (1/2 Swedish) mistress, whom died giving birth to her. Because her father didn’t have any heirs, he took her in and raised her to be the next CEO. Due to this she grew up very well off, which changed largely when “Kira” came into play. Though she loved her father, she was quite glad to see him go. It was unknown whether is was Kira who killed him or someone else. The police deemed it a Kira case and didn't look into it farther.


With her father’s death, Erika was put under the protection of a butler until the day she turned 18. At which time she would get the rights to her father’s company and money. When she finally did turn 18, she gave the position of CEO to her butler while she went to university. Knowing that he was a loyal dog that would listen to anything she said as long as she used her body to persuade him.


She is now majoring in Business and Psychology.

Erika is a bright girl, well educated because of her background. Not that would have changed much if she had been raised in the gutter. Erika is naturally a very smart girl, calculating. In her university she's seen as an exceptional student with the prospect of going very far in life. She has a very gentle air about her though, one that says she's not the kind to hurt anyone on purpose. Sadly, if people knew her secret they'd be very surprised.


She is fascinated by the Kira-case. Wanting very much to read it to get a feel of whom Kira was.

She is really the one who killed her father. She had slipped an untraceable poison into her father’s drink. Due to all the deaths, everyone assumed it was ‘Kira’ when it really wasn’t. The police didn't look into it much further then that. (She was sixteen at the time)

A 'loyal' dog to Erika Ito, though in truth he is a very sadistic and calculating person. He dislikes being ordered around by anyone, though allows Erika to do it so he doesn't lose his foothold in the wealthy company she owns.

He allows her to believe that she is persuading him with her body, when in fact he is simply using her.

History: The adoption agency that handled Gent's case put him with three people before he lived with a friend from school his senior year. His dad was kind to him but he was incarcerated when Gent was young, accused of murder but who knew if it was a true. Combined with a mom he never met, Gent's been a orphan since he can remember. The staff at his group home treated him well and gave him plenty of space--which he requested. For a while, Gent was aimless. He tested several grade levels ahead of other boys his age. What other children enjoyed, he found tedious. His thorny personality never made him many friends, but the ones that did stuck by him. Eventually, Gent discovered books and through books the concept of hacking.


Fast-forward a few years.


The natural progression of his new found technological savvy and his drive for a challenge led Gent into information trading. He stole data from the government just to know if he could. It wasn't until later that he began to sell that information for a profit. Gent's descent into the criminal underground was gradual. He doesn't regret his decisions though. Despite being caught, he had fun while it lasted.


Personality: A smart-mouthed, immature, man with some (one or two) decent qualities. Gent's all against one persona gets tedious fast. To hear him tell it, Gent doesn't need anyone or anything to survive in this world. Love, friendship, and comradeship is off the table--theoretically. If someone hangs around long enough, Gent slowly drops his guard around them. He has his own sense of how the world works. Though jaded, Gent can't stand for his friends to be taken in or harmed. Gent tends to become obsessive with the things he likes. This includes friends and loved ones as well as his career. Gent becomes insecure around people he respects or who seem to genuinely like him. He tends to annoy authority figures.

Personality: Beckett is, most of the time, a pretty lazy person and only ever puts effort into the things the interest him. Even then he isn't the most 'animated' person, and is usually lazing around somewhere while he goes about his business. He's is fairly arrogant and confident, as he very rarely loses at anything he puts any amount of effort into, unless it involves physical effort. He himself is pretty hard to provoke, and maintains a calm, lazy atmosphere almost everywhere he goes. He doesn't get very attached to people, even his parents aren't that important to him. His intelligence is very high, but it is often weighed down by his laziness, he is fairly good at 'putting together' clues and planning, letting him figure out what's going on, and who 'did the deed'. Overall he considers himself to be more of an 'observer' than an actual player in the game of life, not to say that he wouldn't mind being a participant, he just hasn't found a 'proper role' for himself to play, well, not yet at least.

History: Beckett lived a pretty normal life, as a kid he went to school, and got pretty good grades, working at a level above most of his classmates throughout primary school. In high-school though, he slowly most motivation, and watched his grades drop as a result, going from being at the top of all of his classes, to being slightly above average at best, and normally only just scraping by due to his lack of study and preparation. It wasn't until the rise of Kira that he actually took any major interest in anything again, he followed the investigation as closely as he could, fascinated by the mental battle between Kira and L, not really being interested in their goals or morals, but rather which one would come out on top.

History: Poppy is the daughter of a B-rate actress and a grade-A conman, conceived in the City of Angels, Los Angeles. She grew up extremely well-off, thanks to her father's masterful ways of conning the richest of the rich out of thousands and millions of dollars. When Poppy just entered kindergarten, the public finally caught on to her father's manipulative ways and her father was thrown in the slammer for the 10 most important developmental years of Poppy's life. Poppy and her mother were evicted from their contemporary mansion in the Pacific Palisades, managing to get by with what the government gave them and the salary her mother received from the daytime soap operas she starred in.


When Kira was at his most powerful, Poppy's father died mysteriously of a heart attack in prison. It was only 2 months away from the end of his sentence. It was automatically assumed that he had died because of Kira and his divine judgment. Poppy was a junior in high school, and although she wasn't too strongly affected by the death of her father (she had never been that close with him in the first place), she could not agree with Kira and his method of ridding the world of evil.


Personality: The pink-haired beauty may have inherited her mother's looks, but she also inherited her father's cunning and intelligence (although she definitely uses it for a better cause). Boisterous and exuberant, one wouldn't assume that Poppy is as clever or quick-witted as she is. While she is somewhat ditzy and disorganized, her superior intelligence makes up for it. Poppy tries to keep her mind clear while at work, but her rampant emotions will often cloud her perception and overtake better judgment. She is somewhat biased against those of less privileged upbringings because she feels pity for them. Poppy tends to make rash decisions, especially when emotions are involved.


Other: Poppy changed her name after the reign of the first Kira, just to be safe. She does, however, carry her first driver's license in her wallet, with her real name on it.

History: Abandoned at birth he grew up in a regular orphanage. He got decent grades in high school and was a pretty normal laid back kid. When he was sixteen a friend of his was kidnapped and L found her. He is now a collage student that is striving to become a private detective.


Personality: A rebellious wild card with a kind heart he hates being told what to do or how to act but hates seeing others hurt. He is mischievous and cheerful but knows when to be serious. He likes to observe others without knowing it. He has sharp eyes and a sharper mind.


Other: He is an insomniac with a large sweet tooth and loves to play games. Often he can be found with a gameboy.

Name: Riley Therin

History: He had a very normal upbringing, until one day his brother murdered his parents. He grew up in an orphanage, where he was easily the brightest boy, but he vowed vengeance on his brother. He eventually joined the police force and captured his brother. Part way through his sentence, Kira killed him, causing Riley to become pro-Kira, as he had wanted his brother to die for a long time, but couldn't.


Personality: Very intelligent and dangerous. If he gets the opportunity, he may try to help Kira, but he will not publicly support him. He can easily act one way, but be another.


Other: Loves sweets and always carry around his Gameboy advanced SP, his last possession from before his parents died. (I know this sounds similar to the way Kira Blackthorn's character is, but that's just the way I want my character to act.

History:

Do I even need to say it? Fine, but no more fancy Japanese names, Death ended up giving his book to some kid who went power hungry or something along those lines. It made for a pretty good show and manga if you ask me.

Personality:

This new Death is just as laid back as the previous, if not, then even more laid back. He enjoys watching people do their everyday things without his knowledge and he can be pretty playful when it comes to things like that. So overall, this Death is a pretty happy guy most of the time, but if you dare as disagree with him, he will instantly dislike you until you apologize or do something else.

History: Autumn lived in a normal fairly normal family, but they traveled a lot. Her mother was a historian, and her father was an archaeologist, making it so that they never stayed in the same place for more than a couple years. Autumn is an only child, this, along with the fact that she was homeschooled made it so she had a very lonely childhood. Her life was boring to her, and the way she escaped the long hours of the day was through learning. After some time of simply reading books and putting together all the information she had, it began to get boring. She decided she wanted to find out facts for herself instead of just believing what other people said, leading her to sneak out of the house to go people-watching, and explore the sites that her parents worked on. When she was 17 she decided she wanted to explore the world more and enrolled in a college in Japan in order to have more freedom.


Personality: Autumn is extremely curious, and will do almost anything for the sake of learning. She is a realist, not believing anything until she has proven it for herself. She doesn’t really have a sense of right or wrong, believing that a person’s point of view can change everything. Autumn has become a very independent person after living pretty much by herself most of her life. She doesn’t really care about having friends or enemies anymore, living in her own world most of the time. She is awkward when talking to people seeing as she never had much of a social life when she was younger, and is very blunt about things.
