CHARACTER SHEET TEMPLATE

Name (& title if applicable):
Age:
Gender:
Role (Survivor/Killer):
Species:
Appearance:
Personality:
Backstory:
Abilities:
Anything else you want to include (optional):

NOTES

Title is just like. The killer name if your character is a killer. Like how the killers are named "the ___".

For the appearance, it can be just a description, or if you have a faceclaim you can include it here! Please no AI pictures, anime/drawings/etc and irl faceclaims are both fine though. I tend to just describe my characters in writing but I know lots of others use photos so putting this here.

For the backstory, you probably want to include how/why they got taken to the realm! If you're not familiar with DBD, like I said in the interest check really there's all sorts of ways people got pulled in so whatever you come up with most likely will be fine.

The abilities section is for any powers/etc your character might have as a killer, or if they're a survivor, any... strengths they might have I suppose. Things that might be their perks if they were actually in the game, that sort of thing.

If you have a code you already have filled out for your character you can send that too, I just put the simple one above with just the info/basic stuff because I know not everyone likes to use them. Either one is fine.

Name: Amelia Jackson - The Host / The Shade
Age: 16/???
Gender: Female/???
Role (Survivor/Killer): Killer
Species: Human/???
Appearance: Amelia is a young girl with pale skin and black hair. She tends to wear loose fitting jackets and shirts, with leggings and simple tennis shoes. The Shade is an inky black creature with many arms and teeth, residing within Amelia's body and frequently rupturing out when it desires, much to Amelia's pain.
Personality: Amelia is a shy and timid girl. She has trouble making friends, and an even harder time keeping them, giving way to abandonment issues. Scared of most everything, Amelia wants out of this realm as much as any survivor, and is very much a victim of the killer that resides within her. / The Shade is a ruthless hunter. It stalks its prey into madness, luring them in and eventually devouring them, leaving little mementos of its feast hanging in the woods for all to see. It keeps to the trees and watches from a distance. In times of distress, it can pick a host and merge its body with the unfortunate victim, influencing their actions and thoughts.
Backstory: Amelia used to be a normal, average teenager. She had a small but trustworthy circle of friends, got straight A's in school, and had many extra curriculars she excelled in. All in all, the ideal model of an average American high school student. That all changed one fateful morning when she decided to go on a hike through the woods outside the small town she grew up in. Taking her best friend Rebecca along, the two stuck to the trodden path. No one knows what exactly happened, but Rebecca never came back from that hike, and Amelia refused to talk about it. Ever since, rumors started spreading - "Amelia killed Rebecca, pushed her into a ravine, drowned her in the creek". Amelia's friend circle started to dwindle. What no one knew, was the horrors Amelia witnessed on that hike. A creature, a monster of horrendous visage, tearing her best friend asunder while the poor girl hid behind a tree. She'd thought she'd gone unnoticed, as the shade strung entrails through the branches. But no, it had other plans for Amelia. It took her, merging their bodies, seeping its goopy body through her skin until they were one and the same. She's carried the burden of it's thoughts in her mind for a year, silently fighting its dark desires, before one day it finally snapped. Half the school, decimated before lunch. The monster feasted. Amelia was horrified. Her body moved without her consent, the beast guiding her through bloodstained halls as a dark mist collected, swirling through the building, until the two vanished. Amelia would wake next in a darkened forest, filled with fear and a glee that was not hers.
Abilities: Killer Power - Darkness Inside
At the start of the trial, the Host is allowed free reign of her body. During this time she in undetectable as a killer and may even assist survivors in repairing generators. After the first generator is completed, the Shade wakes up. the Host still has moderate control, able to scream and warn survivors of the Shade's presence. As more generators are completed, the Host becomes more and more catatonic, unable to control her body or resist the Shade's will. The Shade gains power the more generators are completed - it starts as a silent watcher, inflicting hallucinations and slowing down repair progress in its vicinity. Ever generator completed, the Shade gains another set of arms, allowing it to move and strike faster, its radius of madness growing. Survivors standing in the madness aura for too long will alert the Shade of their location.

Name: Thomas Sebastian, The Blinded
Age: 25
Gender:
Male
Role: Killer
Species:
Human
Appearance:
IMG_3534.jpeg

Thomas typically wears only jeans, and his new Entity-granted eyes flash red like a cat’s eyes. He smells like something decaying and rotten, and sometimes his eyes vanish- leaving only darkness in his eye sockets.

Personality:
Thomas is unstable and reactive, prone to severe mood swings. One moment, he’s laughing as if it’s all a game, the next he’s shrieking in rage when a survivor evades his grasp. Thomas frequently tries to talk to survivors, promising them he won’t hurt them just come on out and say hello I’m so lonely. This is a lie.

Thomas is extremely sensitive to the Entity’s whispering, and frequently hears voices that make no sense. He often lashes out at nothing at all, pleading and demanding that the voices shut up please I’m busy! Sometimes this actually works, and Thomas is far more deadly when undistracted.

Backstory:
Thomas was born in a typical middle-class home, went to school, and more or less lived an entirely normal life. He didn’t kill small animals, he had friends, he was the picture of a happy, confident kid. When he was fifteen, something happened at school. Thomas grew more and more surly and emotional, distancing himself from his friends and family, flinching away from the slightest physical contact.

Then he went over to the house of another student, a football player, and murdered him with his bare hands. The police were horrified by the extent of the damage to the jock, and Thomas was confined to an insane asylum for ten years.

After ten years of imprisonment, he broke out. Going on a murderous rampage, he killed several high schoolers, targeting the jocks of all stripes. Eventually a student lured him away from town, and led him in a chase. Thomas’s skin was virtually impenetrable, and he could rip a man in half, but his eyes were far less durable. The student lured Thomas to a cliff over the ocean, and shot him in each eye with a shotgun. After his blinding, Thomas stumbled off the cliff. At the bottom of the 400-foot drop, the Entity was waiting for him.

Abilities:
Impenetrable Skin- Thomas’s skin is bulletproof and immune to blades, making him extremely hard to damage. His eyes, however, are still just eyes, and he’s vulnerable to being blinded. He cannot heal lost eyes unless the Entity intervenes, and this only happens after a match is concluded.

Superstrength- Thomas is extremely strong, capable of ripping off limbs and fracturing skulls with a punch. Good thing he’s no faster than any regular human!

Anything else you want to include:

Personal Realm- Pastel Suburbia:
Thomas’s personal realm between Trials is a brightly colored version of suburbia, specifically the neighborhood he lived in. It’s vacant, but otherwise normal- but one house has Thomas’s first victim in the bedroom, exactly as it was when the police showed up. The entire neighborhood smells strongly of blood.

Vulnerabilities: Thomas can be blinded, as stated. He also has a weakness to electricity, which will knock him out for a minute or so. His speed is not particularly impressive, so he can be outrun by a clever survivor. Playing along with his ramblings can distract him from his mission for a moment.

1748234060860.pngName: Valerie Evergreen
Nickname: Val
Age: 22
Gender: Cis-Female
Role: Survivor
Species: Human

Notable Features: Valerie has black hair and golden-amber eyes, some patches on the underside of her locks dyed white. She usually puts on a gold chain that has a crescent on it, as well as the same-shade pins and bows on her head. Red eyeshadow on eye corners.

Personality: Valerie is quite the catchy individual if anyone had to admit, willing to sever anyone's fingers off if they come too close. She will follow her own path, and do everything solo, but when her life is in danger she knows she'd have to help others. Her temper is like a locker; say the right thing, and you open a chamber of hell. She's quite the foodie, when actually calmed down, and wouldn't mind sharing a drink or two so long you're not loud. It's not about picking fights; it's about leaving her out of one. Most of the time she keeps to herself, yet she wouldn't mind doing anything reckless. A dare-devil she is, basically a dog full of bark and bite. Very much a dog person. Get on her good side, and she's pretty nice.

Backstory: Valerie hung around a no-good-shot of a family; the house was always left unattended if she didn't do anything, the fridge would be found empty at dire times, and dishes upon dishes would stack up until her parents wouldn't mind eating off of any other surface. She hated it, but didn't let anyone in about it. In highschool, she was determined to keep her reputation as the most intimidating student around. Forget about appearance and her sharp glare-her actions was what gave the crowd a new supper to drink. Though, good life didn't always stay. At least, "good" as in still able to keep moving. Someone from her class had followed her back to where she lived for the "fun" of it. Wrong move right there.

Rumors passed down from social media at the worst was heard about pretty quickly, to the point it mocked bus drivers when going to their bus stops. A found recording of Valerie entering her rubbish of a settlement made her not only feel anger, but guilt. Maybe it was due to her parents' negligence, or the fact she never cared to speak with them, that she felt this way. However, it didn't end there. She didn't go back to school, instead finding her hands on a wheel of her dad's trusty car. In a fit of emotions, she hoped to steer herself to a place that would look out for her in kinder ways. That didn't go quite as expected. Even in broad daylight, car crashes couldn't be saved. Quick, easy, and a douse of defeat. When her eyes reawakened, she was in a different dimension.

Athleticism: Valerie has had her own fair share when it comes to bouncing off the local parks' obstacles and flipping over local tracks. In school she mainly applied for clubs that could easily get her mind off of things, so sports were a good fix. Now, she as an adult takes jogs like she'd die the next day, almost as if she was preparing to become an athlete herself or something. It was unfortunate when she had to "die", she would've been a great subject!

Good Memory: Valerie's mind is a map of her own, one that can be turned into an X-Ray so the memories never get forgotten. She might need to observe a place or two before getting the hand of it, yet she will catch onto things pretty quickly. This comes in handy when needing to find hiding spots or areas that contain generators. Perhaps the exit itself isn't too far away from her eyes, and knowing where some killers camp...now that's a steal for a skill.

Unfazed: Despite the pain and the horror, if Valerie gets hurt, she will learn to shrug it off in time. The trials are a daily thing, so if she dies or not, it wouldn't matter. Making a mistake would let her suffer less, yet staying in the camp overall is what's worse. Because of this, she finds no hope in truly needing to escape. At some point there would be a time limit of when the trials would end, right? Die or live, she felt dead inside already. A corpse playing a game, fun.

Kudos to my friend letting me borrow the fc and key aspects of a shared OC

Name: Vesper, aka "The Accursed"
Age: Adult. Mid/late 20s? Probably way older in dragon years, AKA he forgets exactly how old he is a lot.
Gender: Male
Role: Killer
Species: Half dragon, half human. Turned into such by the Entity as a sort of joke. He wanted to be a creature like that? Here he was. It wasn't as great as he hoped, especially not in a place like this.
Appearance: See the picture at the bottom (art belongs to me). Second picture is just the ref I used for his outfit and a better picture of that.

Personality: Reserved -- still fears bad things may come to those he interacts with, despite that actually maybe being a good thing in this place with the survivors. Doesn't speak to a lot of the killers for this reason as well though, and just because not all of them are social. If you get him to open up, you'd find he's not this strong stoic killer he pretends he is. Very much affected by the... isolation, basically, of his childhood. Looks up to some of the other killers who he believes are 'better than' him but would never admit it.

Backstory: Some people are just born strange.

Vesper was always outcasted from those he was surrounded by. They claimed he was evil, there was something wrong with him, he was cursed. Even his family had begun to believe it after some time, though they had tried their hardest to ignore the sayings of others. He didn't understand it. He'd never done anything to them! Sure, things would often tend to go wrong when he was around among other stuff, but that just was coincidence!

It wasn't until one night in the little village, someone -- or something -- had come and set fire to the place. He woke up in a start, the smell of smoke filling his senses. Rushing to get everyone else up before anyone could get hurt, he found they were already outside. Had they left him in there to burn? Did they not realize? He wasn't sure, but somehow, they were all safe. Their house wasn't too close to where the fire seemed to have started and it actually hadn't damaged that much.

Once it'd been put out and while people were trying to find the source of the fire, what had caused it, Vesper swore he saw something in the woods that surrounded the buildings. Strange glowing eyes peering out from the trees. Larger than any forest animal.

A few nights later, he heard noises outside. No one had found out what caused the fire, and wanting to maybe prove something, that he wasn't as bad as they thought -- he'd snuck outside to check the woods. See if he could find what that thing was he knew he'd seen.

There it was. A beast, staring back at him. Like a lizard, but much larger. He'd heard tales of creatures like that. He was afraid -- of course he was, but he also felt some sort of sense of... what, longing? Closeness? Something was drawing him to the creature. (He wanted to be like that. Something strong and fierce that didn't have to live by others' rules.) But, scared as he was, he ran back home, telling himself he'd go look for it again eventually.

People had been pointing fingers afterwards. Saying someone here did caused the fire purposefully. Vesper didn't know why someone would do such a thing, and tried to tell them that. It was probably an accident. All that got him was people putting the blame on him instead. "Surely that cursed child was the one who started it!"

It wasn't until quite a few years later, he remembered the nights that had happened. Reports of a fire nearby made him recall it. And, braver than he had been when he was younger, out of some stupid impulse he decided to go looking around the forest. Maybe to prove what he'd wanted to so long ago. Or maybe wishing his fantasies about being something else would come true.

He'd eventually gotten lost in his escapade. He didn't know how long he'd been wandering for. Part of him, a little voice inside his head, said that maybe the thing he was looking for from so long ago would find him. It'd help him, somehow.

The other part? It said that no one would care he was gone when he caused so many problems.

On he went, deeper and deeper into the woods -- he'd never been this far out, always urged to stay near someone lest something bad happen. Lest he cause something bad. The trees grew thicker, and so did the fog that had suddenly descended upon the area. It smelled of smoke, and Vesper thought that it was the creature itself somehow. Those things breathed fire, didn't they? Maybe it really had been what nearly burned all their homes down that night... well, would've if no one had caught it happening in time. It wasn't him, that's all he knew, no matter what people had said.

And as he saw that familiar figure barrel out of the brush as if something had startled it, it turned to face him. It didn't attack, like he had been afraid of the first time. It just turned and went on, further. Vesper couldn't help but follow it. The fog had grown choking, he could barely see in front of him. And that was his second mistake, following it. The first had been coming out here at all. It didn't take long before he really didn't know where he was anymore. Before the fog swallowed him up.

The village was freed from their so-called 'curse,' but Vesper would become burdened with what might be a real one in this new place.

Abilities:
  • Burning Embers: While Vesper can't quite breathe fire, he can sort of... cough up what might cause one. Hot coals, basically. A pathetic excuse for the ability he thought he might gain if he were to turn into a dragon or some similar beast. This doesn't hurt him in the way it would a human -- however it's conjured up internally prevents this. Spitting these at survivors will of course slow them down, but also not injure them in the way true fire might. Can block potential pathways temporarily, however -- pallets, windows, etc. No one wants to jump over or touch burning wood. Essentially, damaging but not enough to down someone.

  • Flightless: Not granted wings in his new form by the Entity -- perhaps because the creature he saw didn't have them either -- his strength makes up for this. Stronger than an average human, but a bit slower, albeit faster than survivors as most killers are. Just not as fast as some. Also has slightly better hearing; easier for him to locate generators being worked on and people healing.

  • Talons and Tail: His claws and large tail serve as his actual weapons. His claws being the main one, but he can lash his tail to also sort of 'trip' survivors and slow them down, then able to strike with his claws.

Anything else you want to include: Nothing I can think of. Here's the pictures in question from above though.
