overview.
In the sleepy town of Redwater, Maryland almost all of the residents have grown up with each other, most of them even stay in town after they’ve graduated high school or come back after college. It’s a lovely, small and quiet place to raise a family, start a business or do whatever else your heart desires. Of course, there are some limitations as there are in any place, but to most of the residents of Redwater, it’s perfect.
Considering how lowkey the town appears to be, no one outside of those who live there would suspect tragedy had struck just twenty-five years ago. Back in 1996 at the local high school, Ridgeview, a student went missing. Peyton Hargrove was only sixteen when she disappeared on Halloween night and she was never heard from again. Her parents and the police searched for her for months, her parents did for even longer even after the investigation had officially been named cold. Flyers of the teenager were around for at least three years after her disappearance, but even her parents eventually lost hope.
Peyton’s parents, Richard and Donna, still live in Redwater due to most of their money being spent on hiring a private investigator (multiple times) and being unable to afford to move. So, there they live in the creaky old house atop Pine Hill. Some believe it to be haunted, some don’t even believe anyone lives there considering that the town rarely sees the couple, but there they stay, heartbroken and grieving.
Present day Redwater seems to have forgotten about the disappearance though and believes the Hargroves to be stuck in the past. 2021 is a great year for the town having just elected a new mayor as well as reopening the old roller skating rink from the eighties. Things are looking up and people are living their best lives until Halloween rolls around once more. Jade Whittemore had gone out with a group of friends for a costume party near the graveyard, during a game of truth or dare she was sent out to take a selfie with a grave at midnight, however she never came back.
Many of the students assumed she just went home, however when her parents reported her missing they all found themselves in hot water. Everyone at the party was questioned by the police, but nobody had any answers. What really threw the officials off though was that it seemed to be connected to the Peyton Hargrove case even though it had been twenty-five years. Just like Peyton, the police and her family spent what seemed like forever looking for her, but she had disappeared into thin air and eventually it was another cold case in Redwater.
Now, a year later, students are finally beginning to get over something that had truly shaken them to the core. Jade’s group of friends have found themselves separated from each other, each having joined their own cliques. When Jade’s parents hold a vigil on the one year anniversary of her disappearance, the girls are brought back together for one night only. This one night though would change everything after an anonymous text message is sent to their phones.
‘Jade wasn’t the first to go missing and she won’t be the last. Better start prepping bitches, cause life and death come at you fast.’
summary.
Hi all! It's Tulsa back at it again with another group! As you can probably tell, this is heavily inspired by 'Pretty Little Liars' among other teen television and film. Basically it follows high school students in a small town as they deal with the aftermath of a missing student and the mystery surrounding her disappearance.
There is a core group of six girls who were all connected to the missing girl, Madison. These will be the main points of view we see, however no story or series is complete without other characters. Were you scorned by the missing girl? Was she a casual hook up? Maybe you had hidden feelings for her? The options are endless and who knows, maybe one day we'll see Madison again...
There are numerous ways we can go about this, but I'm thinking of holding it in an episodic format which will be similar to skips. If it's long-term, which I hope it will be, we'll have different seasons and hopefully somewhat pre-planned episodes for each season. Full of mystery, drama, romance and a dash of horror, I think this could be really fun and successful!

the burnout.
open / closed
While she was originally a member of Jade's group, the burnout was the first to split up from the rest of the girls. Maybe it was because she didn't feel like they had anything in common or maybe it was because she was still grieving Jade's disappearance. Whatever the reason, she hasn't spoken to any of them since last Halloween. This anonymous text though has dragged her back to them.
the free spirit.
open / closed
Always one for a party or an adventure, the free spirit was one of the last to join Jade's clique. Originally, she didn't see the appeal of Jade and thought she was stuck up, but a huge pool party changed her opinion of the girl. Since her disappearance she's returned to her old group of friends and is partying harder than ever before.
the golden girl.
open / closed
A known friendly face to most at Ridgeview High, the golden girl had been friends with Jade since she was a freshman. Being the youngest member of the clique she always felt like she had to prove herself and earn her place, mainly thanks to Jade always threatening to drop her. Though she's sweet and bubbly on the outside, does she secretly harbor a grudge?
the wannabe.
open / closed
Second in command to Jade and now officially the queen bee of the school after her disappearance, the wannabe has blossomed into who she feels she was truly meant to be. A lot of people suspected her of killing Jade, but the queen bee has maintained her innocence and even won the title of homecoming queen this year. She's the best there is at putting on a facade to get what she wants and, taking after Jade, she's willing to do whatever it takes to get it.
the brainiac.
open / closed
Known and sometimes feared by her classmates, the brainiac did her best to keep the clique together after Jade's disappearance. Even if she can come off as intimidating and competitive, she's fiercely loyal and felt that loyalty to Jade. After all, before she was the hot brainiac she was a mousy little nerd who no one wanted to befriend.
the artist.
open / closed
Creative and competitive are some words that could be used to describe the artist. As a freshman, she was solely and completely focused on her work, but when Jade offered her a chance to be in the spotlight, how could she refuse? Coming from a less than wealthy family, she must do whatever it takes to make it out of Redwater. Does this mean she's willing to hurt her friends though? After all, Jade had the power to turn her back into a nobody.

one.Considering I am over eighteen, I'd prefer if we keep this group at least 17+. It just makes it comfier for senior members like me lol. Along with this, I'd like to note that the writing requirement for this group is 2+ paragraphs per response as well as one response per week (or at least every other week). Please keep an open line of communication with me if something comes up. I will be holding activity checks once a month or sporadically if there are long periods of inactivity.
two.The ooc for this group will take place over Discord, so please have that and be active in checking it! OOC is where we will brainstorm episode ideas as well as overarching plots, I want everyone to be involved in making this group as successful as it can be. As mentioned before, this group will be a bit different format wise as it will be episodes rather than skips. If you have any questions about this please let me know.
three. Finally, seeing as I want this to be as successful as possible, I will not be reserving spots as the group will not be first come first serve. I will have to approve your character! Of course, I will do my best to provide feedback on them, but I also may just explain that it would be better to make a new character instead. It's a case by case basis if that makes any sense. Also, please no ooc drama, it's never fun and remember that nothing IC is personal and nothing I say is personal either.
