THAAL SINESTRO
S.T.A.R. Labs, Metropolis

"That's Green Lantern Sinestro," Thaal corrected Mr. Zero. "While we can be accurately described as officers of a type, 'Officer' is not our title."

As Mr. Zero showed him the map of Earth and the information on it, Sinestro held his ring up to it to begin scanning and processing the data. Green light emitted from the ring onto the map. The main idea was to match the data to any known signals, frequencies, modus operandis of known entities and groups, or their closest known equivalents in the Oan archives. Even failing that, it was likely the ring could discern something new to give Sinestro a lead. Where the Oan archives fail on occasion, there was always the possibility Thaal himself would recognize something from his own adventures. But it was more likely the Oan archives would turn up something.

When Mr. Zero shared his speculation about the ring, Sinestro's eyebrow twitched. He immediately deflected the question. "I'm afraid that before I joined the Corps, I was a humble archaeologist. My purview was the ruined structures and social institutions of the past, not physics."

While Sinestro's response was technically correct, he did not mention that he studied the ring's functions and capabilities extensively after joining the Green Lantern Corps. He knew Mr. Zero was correct, even if he had only gleaned one aspect of the ring's potential. Sinestro was standing normally now, but Mr. Zero must have seen him floating outside the door through the camera. He would clearly figure out even more from seeing that the ring can scan and process information, but there was little Sinestro could do about that.

Sinestro still wondered about Mr. Zero's strange armor, but it was not important enough to ask about while he was concentrating on the analysis. As the ring finished scanning and processing the data, Sinestro awaited its response.

Robin
Underground Railway; Metropolis Outskirts

Robin slightly winced when the communication device in his ear blasted static, the distorted voice of Alfred barely coming in at all. His mouth pressed into a tight line as Batman confirmed that they were too deep underground for radio contact, which wasn't most promising of signs. It wasn't all that surprising though, since it really had been a long drop to get down here in the first place. He looked towards Batman and grimly nodded, accepting that they were on their own from here. "Right." His own voice was quieter than usual, and he kept his response brief in order to try to keep their presence unknown for as long as possible like his mentor. As Batman moved forward through the darkness, Robin dutifully followed close beside him. He picked his way over the many rocks that littered the railway path, and occasionally had to jump over a collapsed support beam. Every time he did so, he glanced uneasily towards the ceiling of the place. It was obvious that the place was very decrepit and unstable, so it would definitely be necessary to try to avoid provoking any more collapse. The difficulty of seeing much of anything in the tunnel didn't make him feel much better either.

The entire place just had an unsettling feeling to it that caused him to feel on edge. Nevertheless, he was hardly going to let this discourage him from going on, so the boy did his best to shake off that feeling. For a while, nothing happened as the two continued down the tunnel. Robin kept as sharp an eye out as he could as he made his way along, but for now things seemed to pass by fairly uneventfully. After they had traveled a little ways further, the young sidekick halted as soon as Batman came to a stop and turned towards him. He waited to hear what the other one was going to say, until suddenly the exchange was interrupted. The boy let out a gasp as suddenly, without any warning, something dark and slimy wrapped around one of Batman's arms, and the other one was yanked back towards the darkness in what seemed like an instant. "Batman!" Robin exclaimed this in surprise and horror, taken aback by the sudden ambush. He forced himself to recover quickly from his initial shock however, as he quickly snatched two batarangs from a compartment in his belt. Gritting his teeth, he dashed a couple of steps forward towards where Batman had been pulled off to, and aimed the batarangs towards whatever had his partner in such a vice-like grip. He could barely make out the silhouette of what almost looked like a tongue holding on to the other one's arms, and so he did his best to aim towards that.

Before he could fling the batarangs towards the strange appendage however, suddenly an electric shock lit up the area, and caused whatever the attacking creature was to screech and recoil. In the flash of light, Robin glimpsed the silhouettes of five other creatures along with the one that had already attacked them. The creatures looked like hideous insects, and for a moment the boy nearly shuddered at the sight of the retractable tongue like thing that was attached to their hands, but there was no time to feel repulsed. He was relieved to see that Bruce was alright when he leaped back towards him. When Batman shouted his orders, Robin wasted no time in complying, immediately turning around and taking a step backward so that they would be able to fight back to back. Once he had done this, his attention immediately shifted to the three creatures that he could spot creeping towards him in the dark. Tensing up, he assumed a fighting stance, preparing to use the two batarangs that he was going to throw earlier. Making careful some in an attempt to be accurate, Robin soon threw the batarangs towards one of the creatures, aiming each sharpened projectile towards the monster's upper arms. After he had done this, he pulled out the collapsible bō staff that he kept in his utility belt, quickly extending it so that it would be more like a proper staff. The staff was made out of steel, so it was hardly as fragile as a wooden one.

He used the staff to try to whack away any of the approaching creatures and knock them back. He also tried to kick them back if they got too close, but the staff seemed the most ideal way to have an extended reach. He was especially careful to be ready to block any of the tongues that might come his way, since those seemed like the most dangerous thing to avoid for now. While using the staff with one hand to defend himself, he grabbed a couple more batarangs with his other hand and threw them towards another of the creatures, this time towards its center. He could only hope that he could thin them out and take them out quickly, in case there were any more of them, or in case they ended up being much more difficult to handle than expected.

The batarangs thrown by Robin slice through the air, making contact with one of the creature's in the darkness. It howls and recoils as the sharpened edges cut deeply through one of it's arms, though not enough to sever it completely. A second creature would attempt to sweep in and slash at Robin from the right side, though he would be temporarily knocked away with a hard clash from his bo staff. The third of these horrid insect like creatures would stay at a distance, trying to grapple onto the boy wonder's ankle with its tongue like appendage.

These creatures would not stay down long however, as the other two quickly recovered, and tried to flank Robin on both sides. Meanwhile, Bruce was busy dealing with his own attackers. Two of them charge him from the front, reaching out with their brutal claws, eager to bury themselves into flesh. Reaching back into his utility belt, Batman would take out a small, metallic ball from one of his compartments. Pressing down on a small lever on the device, he tosses it towards the two charging beasts. The small weapon detonates, covering both of the creatures in a fast drying, powerful adhesive. The 'glue grenade' it was aptly called, and it was quite effective at dealing with groups of enemies in tight spaces. The pair of creatures are stopped dead in their tracks, screeching out in annoyance as the glue quickly encases them in a temporary prison. They thrash around violently, trying to claw their way out; the glue grenade had done it's job, though he doubted it would keep them trapped for too long.

While he was distracted with the other two, the third creature attacked Bruce from the side, it's claw coming in fast and looking to take his head off. Bruce's eyes widen as he is just barely able to duck under the fatal blow; these things were faster than they looked. Countering with a devastating punch to the mid section, the creature howled in pain, taking several steps back. Before Batman could follow up with another strike, the unknown thing came back swinging with another one of it's arms.

The Dark Knight recoiled back, though he wasn't quite fast enough to avoid the slash completely. The black claws of the creature slashed into his right shoulder, tearing through the batsuit like a hot knife through butter.

"ARRGH!" Bruce winces in pain. It wasn't a deep wound, but he sure as hell felt it. Small trickles of blood ran down the Batman's arm, and coated the claws that made contact.

Gritting his teeth, Bruce unleashed a powerful spinning kick, connecting with the monster's equivalent of a jaw; sending it flying back and crashing into the ground. The thing writhed and squirmed violently in the mud, the kick apparently dislocating it's jaw from it's socket.

The ring would also display an in depth history and description of the Qyt species, as well as several minor interactions with the Green Lantern Corps. While this species generally kept to their own, they were recently driven away from their home planet when it was conquered by the forces of Apokolipse. Luckily, the Qyt have developed teleportation technology, and have chosen Earth as a potential safe haven for their species. The signal itself seved as simple communication to a small scouting force. It appears that they have been abducting specimens of Earth, though the reasons behind this were not yet known.

Sinestro's ring would also pick up the isolated signal being pinged off of the Batmobile.

Mr. Zero, Metropolis, Star Labs

Zero didn't much comment on Sinestro' attitude - but he immediately had his fingers moving like lightning as the information was pinged up infront his eyes.

Infact he didn't stop and stare at the display like some of the others would. Namely he would namely immediately start comparing the biology of the aliens to the environment on Earth. He wanted to know what could knock these creatures out - before anybody else was kidnapped.

As he did that, Victor also recorded into his memory namely the frequency that the aliens utilized to transmit their data and likely themselves. If the STAR Labs team could create a frequency on the opposite spectrum then they could block the alien hacker or perhaps even short-out the alien transmission.

Even though most of the data was written in a strange alien language, Victor could make good-enough guesses from the simple images.

"So, Green Lantern Sinestro. Anything specific that these aliens might dislike?" asked Zero - as he was able to read out the complex equations of the alien chemistry, without needing a textbook. Although trying to create a response - was like trying to find a human' weakness knowing they had water in their body.

He then also gave a glance at the young woman whom likely wasn't understand what all the science talk was about. "Still with us?" asked Zero from Supergirl.

Claire wasn't exactly the best at science so a lot of what was being talked about went over her head, though she was aware enough to get some of it. She understood the ring apparently drew energy from somewhere else, she honestly had just assumed it never ran out of power or used solar power or some sci fi nonsense from tv shows. Still the big news was this was apparently an invasion so these signals must be going to some kind of mother ship or a fleet of ships. Claire assumed this because if they were fleeing their world then they couldn't have a base on their world. SO if they went and disabled their covert stuff would they instead call the fleet as over all humanity was not ready for aliens.

" Yeah though are we ready for their ships?" She asked guessing everyone else would think of this.

Robin
Underground Railway; Metropolis Outskirts

Robin tried to knock the tongue like appendage away from his ankle with his staff before it could fully wrap around it, and was able to do so successfully at first. Suddenly, he heard Batman shout in pain from behind him, apparently having been hit. Due to how close they were to each other, he could nearly hear the blow as it made contact. The young sidekick drew in a sharp breath with wide eyes, alarmed by the sound, but he quickly realized that Batman was still able to fight as the sound of one of the creatures being knocked back into the mud indicated, and there was no time to ask how the other one was doing. In the process of the boy's slight distraction and concern, the third creature was managing to secure its tongue like thing around his ankle.

Robin felt the sudden yank as he was nearly pulled off his feet in an instant. He struggled to maintain his balance while stomping his free foot on the tongue like thing with all of his might and leaning all of his weight onto it. All this did was slow down the creature's appendage a bit, as little by little he was pulled forward a few steps away from Batman, the pace beginning to accelerate. Seeing that his advantage of slowing the thing down was quickly fading, Robin reached with his free hand to grab a batarang, leaned down, and sliced at the tongue like thing that he was trying to hold secure under his boot. He was able to make a deep cut to the appendage, though not quite enough to slice it in half, sending the third creature reeling back with a pained screech.

He quickly straightened up once this was finished, and immediately backed up a few steps in order to regain ground. His boot and lower calf felt slimy after being enwrapped by the disgusting tongue, and the skin of his leg was a bit red afterwards. He grimaced but tried to ignore the awful feeling, looking up just in time to see what else was trying to attack him. The two creatures that were flanking him had gotten closer and closer, the first one on his right and the second on his left. The one on his left was the closest to him, starting to swing at him with its claws, so his attention was mainly on that one. He nimbly avoided its swipes, having to catch the creature's claws on the middle of his bō staff at one point to avoid a solid blow to the head. The screech of claws against steel nearly caused him to cringe, but instead he broke apart the clash by aiming a sharp kick at the creature's chest and then knocking it back with a strong blow from the staff.

During this time, he had been able to expertly block any of the attacks that the monster on his right had tried, mostly by momentarily shifting his stance in order to block any blows and knock it back. While he had been engaged in trying to block the blow to the head from the other creature however, by the time he had knocked it away there was the sudden feeling of something slimy touching the side of his neck. The boy sucked in a breath, trying to move away, but it was too late. The terrible tongue like thing wrapped around his neck, and started to tighten its grip. He dropped his bō staff in his surprise, gasping as he was lifted off the ground slightly by his neck. It was immediately difficult to breath, and almost all too easy to panic, but despite this he fought to keep his calm and think of a way out of this situation before he ended up being suffocated. In one hand he still held the batarang that he had used before to slice at the other tongue, and so he reached with his other hand and grabbed at the tongue, raising the batarang to make the swiftest and strongest swing that he could manage.

At first, even though he was hacking and slashing at the tongue like thing, the creature wouldn't release him. Finally, in a desperate action, Robin squeezed his eyes shut, and made one last swipe. He finally managed to make a clean slice through the appendage. He gasped in relief as the pressure subsided from his neck, and he was able to stand on his feet again. He brushed the remains of the tongue off of his neck with a grimace, tenderly rubbing his neck for a few moments. After recovering himself, he turned to look at the creature that had been attacking from his left, which was already lunging towards him again. He moved out of the way of a tongue flashing by his arm, and just barely ducked beneath one of its claws flashing over his head.

His masked eyes narrowing, Robin suddenly reached out and grabbed two of the creature's arms, ducking under all of the slashing claws with gritted teeth. He then deftly jumped behind the monster before he really could be filleted, twisting the creature's arms behind it in an attempt to put them out of commission, reaching to grab the thing's other two flailing arms and give them a sharp twist as well. He quickly jumped back from the enraged creature, trying to somersault back to where he had been standing originally. Once he had jumped to his feet, an idea suddenly came to him. Reaching for a compartment of his golden utility belt, Robin pulled out a handful of pellets, and tossed them so that they would land around and on the monster that had attempted to suffocate him earlier just as it tried to attack him again too. The pellets soon released a kind of gas around the thing, which would soon harden into a fairly thick sheen of ice. This was meant to freeze the creature, or at least slow it down due to the intense cold.

Robin breathed heavily as he tried to prepare himself for any more attacks, looking around to see what exactly his position was. Suddenly, he froze. He was still near enough Batman, but while battling the unknown creatures, he had accidentally gotten a little too far to the left. Now the third monster, who hadn't attacked him since trying to trap his foot, was nearly behind him, and out of the corner of his eye he spotted claws that appeared to be poised to strike.

Zatana summoned up the very last of his strength, namely by his incantation of "Erom!" He stood to his feet, wielding the sword. An incantation of strength to make up for lost strength with magic would be living on borrowed time, but he thought it would be a valuable usage of strength. He charged the beast, claymore in hand. He may have been a boring man, but swordsmanship was something he refined to a tee on his many free weekends. The now-powerful Zatana, track suit bound, slashed repeatedly and quickly at the beast, each slash causing a great screech from the beast, causing fluid similar to blood to fly out. A few limbs were lost. Before Zatana was sure the beast was slain, the subtle glow around him and the bright white light eminating off his hands flickered and died, and Giovanni Zatara fell unconscious in the dark tunnel.

The old CRT television in the corner of the Lang family living room flickered and crackled as we see Billy Batson stand and slam his fist down onto it. The picture clicks into focus. Gimme Wrestlemania gimme Wrestlemania thought the young boy, but as he sat down in a beanbag in the dark room, he sighed at the actual content being shown, a mustacioed man sitting at a desk while the beeps of a news intro plays under his voice.

"WMET presents a breaking news story. As reports of a 'Super-Girl' pile up all over the city, we may have definitive proof of not only her, but an alien visitor."

Billy put down his popcorn and stood, walking over to the dials of the TV.

"We now have footage of Supergirl and a purple-skinned alien outside STARLabs, demanding entry."

As shaky phone camera footage plays, a sense of not only dawning realization begins, but also intense bewilderment within Billy, with an undertone of the shyness of a high school crush. Billy rubbed his eyes. "...Claire?" He falls back down onto the bean bag, slumping back, his eyes wide open to suck in all the information being presented to him. His mind was ablaze with connections forming. The principal's car being found on the roof of City Hall? The tornado outside of town just disappearing in a blue blur? That was... Supergirl? And he went to middle school with Supergirl?

"Yikes," he squeaked out, at a loss for complete thought. Without thinking, he put on his coat hung lovingly by the door, turned off the television in the corner, went through the front door into the suburban Kansas street, put his arms, up, and yelled one word.

The Question

Vic looked over at the stranger and sighed
"You don't know what I can do, so don't think you know me." Vic said in a calm manner. He would have to look into this stranger and the man in the suit.

It's not every day you get rescued by those two particular people. They must have some information on them. But he couldn't dig for information when the man in the suit fell unconcious.

Vic went to try and pick him up and drag him against the wall. He would kneel towards the man and looked at the stranger. "Do you have a phone to call the ambulance?" Vic asked. The stranger probably didn't but Vic figured he needed to try as he left his phone in the bag.

Ted finally walked up to the busted door and sighed. He needed to get in and save the scientists, even if he did die. Ted slowly walked in trying to be as quiet and slow as possible.

That was when after walking around Ted saw Supergirl and the alien in front of him. He slowly walked forward, and slowly started his weapon up.

That was when he decided to speak. "I want you to stop, and tell me why you broken in to STAR labs." Ted said. He wanted it to seem as if he was this big and imposing figure, but it probably madr him soynd weird.

He quietly sighed and got a little embarrassed, but then brought his attention back to the alien and Supergirl.

Batman
Underground Railway, Metropolis Outskirts

Just as Batman kicked away his last opponent, one of the alien creatures had clawed its way free from the confinements of the glue grenade. As it lunged at the caped crusader, he pivots to the side quickly to face it, immediately coming up with the best course of action. The deadly claws of the beast glimmer through the night vision as it soars through the air, an ear piercing screech escaping it's jaws. Firing off his wrist mounted grappling hook, it shoots out and strikes the creature in the shoulder, anchoring itself deeply. Spurts of neon green blood spill from the alien's shoulder, though it appeared it's hard chitin plating kept the wound from going too deep. Before the creature could fall to the ground, the Batman's grapnel boosters kicked in, pulling the creature towards Bruce at high speeds.

The very moment the beast was pulled into range, it was met with a thunderous elbow to the face; the force which combined with the extra speed of the grappling hook caused it to flip onto it's back, barely conscious. Before he could turn his attention to another one of their attackers, Bruce would catch Robin's struggle from the corner of his eye. His heart skips a beat as he notices the slimy tendril wrapped around Dick's neck like a noose. Detaching the grappling hook from the creature he just struck, he turns to face Dick, pulling out a batarang.

"ROBIN!" He shouts in a brief panic. He wasn't going to lose another Robin on his watch, not while he was still breathing.

Before he could toss the sharpened Batarang however, the first creature that Batman had kicked seemed to recover, and grabbed the Dark Knight from behind. All four arms wrapped around the vigilante like a vice, squeezing the air from out of his lungs; it's gnarled and dislocated jaw handing freely from it's face as it hisses angrily.

Bruce would briefly attempt to muscle his way free, though it became quickly apparent that the beast was physically stronger than him. The creature easily began to pull him away from his partner; unbeknownst to it, he was standing with it's back facing the wall. Seizing his brief window, Batman plants his boots solidly into the ground, grits his teeth, and kicks off. The kick provided just enough force to send them both backwards, slamming them into the wall. The creature's grip loosened slightly due to the impact, though Batman wasn't entirely freed yet. Swinging his head back, a well placed headbutt from Bruce was more than enough for the creature to release him. Still holding the Batarang from earlier, Batman thrusts it backwards; impaling one of the alien's hands, and pinning it to the wall. It howled in pain as best it could with a dislocated jaw, as green ooze leaked freely from the stabbed hand.

To Bruce's relief, he saw that during his struggle with his own attacker, Robin had already managed to free himself. Just as he starts to run over to rejoin his partner, the third alien cuts him off, apparently freeing itself from the glue grenade. Taking up a fighting stance, the Batman prepares to fight off his last opponent.

The Stranger watched as Zatana collapsed before he dismissed the alien creature. He put his hands back in his pockets and looked towards Vic, "Now you begin living up to your namesake, Question. Keep asking questions, your predecessor would be proud." He turned away from Zatana, now fully facing Victor, "As for the phone, I do not have one. But that is unnecessary. We're already in a hospital." He said as sure enough the three had seamlessly teleported to a hospital, Zatana safely in a bed to recover.

The Stranger paced to one side of the room, "I'm not entirely pleased by current events. As the world's heroes are now they will stand no chance against any major threat. This world is headed for a disaster which must be stopped at all costs." He turned to Victor, "If this continues as is, the world's superheroes will continue to be divided, and quite frankly that's an issue considering that both myself and a certain angry green spirit are limited in what we can do. That's where you come in." He nodded to Vic, "You've done your research, haven't you? I'm sure you know about more than a handful of super powered entities on the planet right now. You're going to join them."

That or this was the luckiest bastatd to ever live to walk into a building like this now when all security was down. Robin
Underground Railway; Metropolis Outskirts

As the claws of Robin's last remaining enemy were poised over his back, it was only a moment after he noticed them that they came down upon him. The young acrobat just barely avoided the claws of one of the creature's hands gouging down his neck and back by trying to duck out of reach as quickly as possible. Despite this attempt, the monster was quick enough to still score its claws down the boy's back, just not as deeply as had been intended. Robin winced and grunted as he heard the ripping of his short yellow cape, and felt the sharp claws scraping down his back. The cape was so small and light as not to hinder his acrobatics much, but the downside of it was that it did not provide much protection against blows such as these. Nevertheless he was able to shrug off the wound enough to keep going, even though it still stung and burned terribly. He shouldered the pain, and flipped out of the way before he could be struck again by those claws. As he did so, in the corner of his vision he spotted the thin shape of a pole lying in the murky darkness nearby.

Robin swerved toward where he saw the silhouette and ducked down to grab it, the attacking creature not very far behind. Just as a tongue like thing flashed overhead, he ducked underneath it and snatched up his bo staff that had been dropped on the ground earlier as he skidded past. Robin was able to come to a halt before he slammed into some nearby rubble, turning around and standing straight up with his staff in hand, ready to face the beast. He stood his ground as the gruesome creature screeched furiously at him, obviously still very determined to kill him. It dashed toward him, seeming to be intending to trap him against the outcrop of boulders and splintered wood that he had nearly collided with a moment ago. Once it reached him, he narrowly avoided the swiping claws from all four arms, forced to avoid and block the blows with his staff as best he could.

In the midst of the barrage, Robin suddenly used his staff to clash against the creature's left arms, pushing them to the side to avoid being slashed at as he slipped to the opponent's left. Once having managed to do so, he quickly swung his leg and aimed a sweeping kick towards what appeared at first glance to be the most vulnerable part of the monster's hind legs. This move allowed him to position himself at the creature's back, and quickly strike at its back with his staff in order to try to knock it off its feet. The monster stumbled forward and sideways and even nearly fell, but unexpectedly it was able to recover its balance and turn back around to face him after only stumbling a little way. The boy soon had to quickly backflip away from the beast in order to avoid its wild, deadly blows. He landed on his feet, turning to breathlessly face the hostile creature once more. He ran options through his mind, but there wasn't much time for that, as the enemy would soon attack again.

Taking a deep breath, Robin gathered his strength, and made a running leap towards the creature. He did a flip midair to gain momentum, and pointed both of his boots towards the attacker's chest as he came down. He was able to catch the thing off guard with this move, knocking it over flat on its back as he landed squarely on its chest. The creature screeched, immediately flailing its claws and trying to tear into the boy's small frame. Before it could get very far in its attempt to do so however, he lifted his bo staff over his head, and then swung it down on top of the creature's head as hard as he could. It took a second and third try of slamming down the staff before the creature gradually stopped moving, finally having been knocked unconscious.

Robin shakily stood up after the opponent had gone limp, wincing from the couple scratches that the creature had managed to pull off before losing consciousness. He stumbled away from the fallen beast, and made his way back towards where he had seen Batman last. Now that the tension was somewhat relieved and it appeared that most of the monster's had been defeated, he allowed himself to rub at his neck a bit due to it still being sore and slimy. Robin tentatively called out for his partner as he made his way towards his original position, thinking that he could distinguish the silhouette of his mentor in the darkness ahead, but he also wanted to make sure that the other one hadn't been hurt too badly either. "Batman, you alright?"

THAAL SINESTRO
S.T.A.R. Labs, Metropolis

For a while Sinestro only stared at the results and rubbed his chin. His intense gaze was fixed on the troubling information before him. While events unfolded around him, it was like he was in another world. He barely noticed when Mr. Zero and 'Supergirl' asked their questions, or when a stranger in blue walked in.

"The Guardians... already knew the Qyt were abducting people on Earth? And they didn't think to mention this when they sent me here? Did it not occur to them that this might be why Abin Sur was on this planet in the first place?"

He paused for about a second.

"Simply unbelievable," Sinestro said, not taking his eyes off the ring's report. "Actually, I do believe it. Their rejection of emotion has blinded them to the realities of the universe. It explains everything about them; every mindless obstruction, every crucial detail unmentioned. Their incompetence begets chaos, and it may have cost Abin Sur his life."

Sinestro started paying a little more attention to his surroundings. "There's an isolated signal near the city. I need to investigate it immediately. It may be some Qyt contacting their- "

Sinestro finally noticed the man in the blue costume who looked like he had just walked right past security. "Wait, who is this? Who are you?"

The Question

As Vic listened to the stranger speak, the stranger mentioned they were already in a hospital. A rush of wind hit Vic for a second but then looked around as they were in a hospital room, and the man in the suit was laying on the bed.

The stranger then mentioned a disaster that must be stopped at all costs. He even mentioned a green angry spirit which made Vic curious. The man said we, which means that he and the angry spirit are working together. That must mean he has some divine power.

Vic shook his head. "I have done my research, but if you know me and who I am, then you know I do not follow like a blind puppy. You are going to tell me who you are, and what is fully going on. Don't give me vague answers." Said Vic. Vic was not going to do as this man says without the stranger answering his questions.

Blue Beetle

Ted raised his eyes when Supergirl mentioned that the scientists let them in. "You tore the door open and walked in." Ted said. That was when he heard alien invasion. That was also when Supergirl mentioned that he broke in. "I did too stop you from hurting these people, but..." Ted looked around.

They didn't seem hurt. That was when Ted noticed the green alien. He was speaking to himself, but then noticed Ted. "I'm, uh..
Blue Beetle!" Ted said as he felt everything got awkward. "So, uh...yeah." Was all Ted could say right after.

Mr. Zero, Metropolis, Star Labs

"Ahem. Listen Blue Beetle...could you please leave. This is kind of awkward, we already have too many vigilantes in this room already. Not to mention...this is a Private Facility - subjected to laws and regulations. Despite the arrival of the other two...they did get permission to stay...more or less...." answered Victor, before he caught the word of Sinestro.

He made sure, to record everything that Sinestro said to mind - so the organization, that he worked for had known - that the aliens whom were abducting people here, were here? As with everybody here at this moment - Victor was certain STAR Labs wouldn't want this many people looking at all their delicate machinery and paperwork.

"Well then....how about you two go and get those aliens....and maybe take the Beetle along?" replied Victor, gesturing to Sinestro and Supergirl - they wanted a way to solve this alien situation/missing person report. Might as well head out and clear out these aliens.

Bruce's final opponent charged towards him in a bout of fury, it's four arms swiping through the air like deadly blades looking to rip the Bat to shreds. It didn't take long for Bruce to adapt to a new opponent, and after fighting off two of these things already, he could come to a fairly safe assumption; they were fast, they were strong, but they were also somewhat predictable. There was very little grace or skill in their furious attacks, they relied merely on overwhelming their victims. As the claws came slashing at the Dark Knight, he began to skillfully dodge, duck and weave past the swipes. Reaching into his utility belt, Batman pulled out one of his specialty cryo Batarangs; a design actually somewhat inspired by the weaponry of one former Mr Freeze.

The beast comes down with a brutal overhead strike , which Batman sidesteps. While the alien was still hunched over, Bruce uses it's back as a launching point; stepping on the alien and leaping into the air behind it. Twisting around in the air to face the alien beast, Batman tosses the Batarang at it, detonating the device the moment it makes contact.

Howling in pain, the creature's torso, arms and legs are quickly encased in ice. Landing next to Robin, Bruce stands tall, finally taking a moment to really observe the creatures they were fighting. With the arrival of beings like Supergirl it was already known that humanity was not alone in the universe, but to actually do battle with a new species... It was a bit surreal, even when compared to the insane things Bruce had seen in the past.

"I'm fine, Robin. I've faced worse than this. " He responds stoically, not even acknowledging the wound on his left shoulder.

"You however, should get that injury on your back tended to when we return to the cave."

Stepping towards the now unconscious alien encased in ice, Batman kneels down and begins to study it. His brow furrows as he looks over the creature.

"It appears insect like at first glance, Chitin like plating covering it's body is similar to many species of arthropods. I wonder-"

Before he can finish his analysis, a bright purple light illuminates the underdark, catching the vigilante off guard. Turning to face the source, Bruce stands at the ready. It appeared to be some sort of... Portal.

Stepping through the portal, roughly a dozen more insect like aliens pour through and surround the duo. This time, they were wielding long staff like weapons, aiming the tips at the two humans as they illuminated a purple light. Most likely a projectile weapon of some sort. They did not fire upon the duo, instead merely staring them down.

Another being slowly steps through the portal, though this one was... Different. While it still possessed the chitin like plating of its fellows, it's arms, legs and even face were slightly more humanoid in appearance. That, and he stood at a good foot taller than the other alien creatures.

Bruce glares down the newcomer, before it starts to speak.

"Whats this? Two humans have taken down my scouting party? I must say, I did not think any among your species possessed such resilience." It's voice was low and coarse, as if it's vocal cords were struggling to speak.

THAAL SINESTRO
S.T.A.R. Labs, Metropolis

"I have no more time for this," said Sinestro. "My mission is my own. If anyone wants to follow, that is their business."

Sinestro flew out the door at high speeds and straight up into the air. He didn't check to see if anyone followed.

"The ring points me... that way," he said, being careful to follow the ring's direction. He flew out toward the skies above the outskirts of Metropolis. He then lowered himself to the ground.

"Hmm," said Sinestro. "The signal is beneath here. Ring, are there any signs of life underground near the source of the signal?"

"Scans suggest there is increased movement 812 meters from here," responded the ring.

Sinestro wondered for a moment if he should look for an alternate route.

"I can waste no time. Abin Sur may still be alive."

Sinestro flew to the ground above where the ring detected movement. He made a giant green drill appear, and with it he quickly made a large hole in the ground.

He shined a green light below to see what was there. First he saw the rubble from the hole he just made. It formed a barrier right between some costumed beings (most likely humans) and a larger group of Qyt. The inside appeared to be some kind of long, narrow passage. Perhaps it was used for some kind of human-made transportation system.

He lowered himself slowly onto the top of the rubble, facing the Qyt. In particular, he stared down the unique Qyt who appeared to be the leader.

"Well, well, well," he said. "You face the judgement of Thaal Sinestro, the greatest of the Green Lantern Corps. You have much to explain."

Robin
Underground Railway; Metropolis Outskirts

Robin immediately turned his head to look over in Batman's direction as the other one landed right next to him. He listened to the other's assurances about his physical state, though he still looked his partner over with a skeptical eye as best he could even when Batman claimed to be fine. He wasn't too concerned anymore however, as he knew that as long as any of Bruce's injuries weren't in need of immediate care, Alfred would make sure they were tended to anyway once they got home. The boy gave a slight start once his own injury was noted and commented on, as if he was just remembering it now. "Oh, right." He pulled forward a corner of his tattered yellow cape and ruefully examined it after speaking. Due to his adrenaline and complete focus during the battle with the last creature, he had eventually nearly forgotten the injury on his back that he had sustained. Now that the fight was over and things were being allowed to settle down a bit, the stinging pain of the scratches was starting to come back with a vengeance. He did his best to ignore this annoyance, trying instead to concentrate on the creature that Batman had also managed to encase in ice and was now examining.

Robin frowned as he got a closer look at the thing when one wasn't trying to attack him, still feeling a bit unsettled by its appearance. He had heard about and witnessed some pretty strange things even during his fairly new career as Robin, but so far his experience had mostly been limited to street level crime, with a few exceptions. Because of that, seeing something like this was fairly startling, even though he knew that considering how much hostile alien activity of some sort had been expected to be responsible for all of this, it was pretty unsurprising. As Batman mused aloud about the strange being, he did some silent speculation of his own. He wondered if these were indeed all aliens, or the results of some kind of freak lab experiment with a unique signature. Despite the boy's best efforts, it wasn't long before his imagination went wild with these possibilities and what they could mean, though of course he planned to keep his most outlandish ideas to himself.

Just as Robin was half listening to Batman's analysis with as attentive of an expression as he could muster, suddenly something unexpected happened that caused him to snap fully to attention right away. The murky darkness of the tunnel was unexpectedly pierced by an illuminating light that was coming from someplace behind him. The young sidekick immediately turned towards the source of the light, his eyes widening. Not only had some sort of portal appeared out of nowhere, but the same kind of creatures that they had just finished defeating were stepping through it. He was taken aback for a moment, but quickly his battle reflexes kicked in and he recovered from his initial surprise. Robin tensed up as he caught sight of the weapons that the aliens carried, and how he and his partner were surrounded by the things in moments. He quickly got into a defensive stance as he stood at Batman's side, his gaze immediately sweeping over the enemies in a quick glance. Things did not look good for them, that was for sure. It was surprising when the creatures did not immediately attack however, as they had struck him as the instinctive, brutish kind of things that didn't really wait that long until attacking their prey. Instead they seemed to be waiting for something.

Robin tensely waited for a signal to move or a move from the attackers, until that very thing that the aliens seemed to be waiting for showed up. He watched as another alien, different and taller than the others, stepped through the portal. Dick stared at that portal for a short time, mostly since it was such a puzzling phenomenon, but there was really no way of telling what was on the other side. As the assumed leader of the band of aliens spoke up, he listened with a frown, still having a very bad feeling about the inevitable confrontation that was to come. Despite this, Robin soon defiantly responded to the alien's comment with his own fierce determination. "Yeah, well there's plenty more where that came from." It wasn't the most inspired comeback in the world, but Robin wasn't exactly known for those anyway. He still meant it though, as no matter what happened, he wasn't about to show any intimidation to these creatures.

As the boy stood anticipating whatever might happen next, he began to become distracted by a slightly odd sound that was coming from overhead. At first it was faint and hardly noticeable, but slowly the noise grew louder and louder. At first it was just a faint whirring, but it wasn't long before the cracking and crumbling of rock could be heard from overhead. Robin was alarmed once hearing this, wondering if some sort of sudden cave in was happening to finish off him and Batman for good. He reached to tentatively touch his partner on the shoulder to get the other one's attention. "Uh, Batman...?" The boy murmured this in a hushed voice, pointing up towards the ceiling in slight concern. Alarmingly enough, the noise was getting louder to the point that it could soon easily be heard. It now sounded almost like a machine on a construction site, tearing through the Earth and causing a great rumbling and shaking to reverberate throughout the tunnel. This grew steadily worse, until the noise was almost directly overhead, and cracks began to appear in the ceiling.

Robin sucked in a breath, his eyes wide as the cracks grew ever wider, forming an almost circle shaped pattern so that it looked like a circular bit of the ceiling was about to collapse in on them. Knowing the instability of the tunnel itself, that could lead to disaster. The young sidekick winced as in moments, the roof suddenly gave way to radiant light, and the rubble started to shower down. "Look out..!" Robin called out to Batman as he dove out of the way, doing his best to avoid the falling boulders as he searched for cover. Luckily, most of the debris had fallen in a concentrated area that was right between him and Batman, and the head alien. Robin managed to find a safe niche where he could wait out the boulders raining down on their position, glancing around to make sure that his mentor had made it to safety as well. As he looked upwards towards where the hole in the ceiling had been created, he glimpsed what appeared to be a purely glowing object that looked a bit like a drill.

The boy shook his head slightly in bewilderment, having no clue as to what was happening. He carefully picked his way through the fallen rubble, making his way back towards Batman. He could only hope that some of the falling boulders had managed to crush the aliens that had been surrounding them, otherwise they still might have trouble on their hands. As he scrambled over fallen rock and support beam, he couldn't help but gulp in the fresh air that had poured through the tunnel, which was quite a relieving aspect. In the distance, he thought that he could hear a voice that was unfamiliar, and not quite as scratchy and alien sounding as the leader's voice. Once he had made it back over to Batman, he looked over towards the hole in the ceiling, his expression and tone of voice conveying his puzzlement. "Who...?" He didn't really need to finish his whispered statement, since it was obvious what he was wondering. The barrier formed by the drilling blocked him from seeing what exactly was going on, but he certainly did want to find out. The glowing silhouette that he had spotted floating midair above the barrier for a time served to only further his confusion and curiosity.

STAR Labs

Claire just sighed as Sinestro ran off to deal with things himself, and now the blue beetle and others seemed to think she had torn the door off, she got it the force had been a mistake but it seemed it had been necessary. This was getting clustered and no one seemed to care about what this might cause, well she could at least get the beetle to help out in his own way. she would have to go after sinestro, or well maybe not he could take care of himself and something told her the entire species wasn't just waiting int he sewers. She would or should leave the law man to do his work while she got ready for what she thought was coming. Still could she take on a whole fleet by herself as she assumed they would have more than one ship, she didn't know she might need help. STAR might have some toys that could help them fight what she was sure was coming.

Claire let out a sigh " Ok before i go out Zero do you and STAR labs have anything that can take out alien ships?" she asked " Or am i the only one thinking the Earth is about to get invaded in a far less subtle way namely by a big alien fleet?" She really hoping they did, she then turned tot he blue clad man " Can you do anything?" she asked thinking of drafting him into this fight.

The Phantom Stranger

The Stranger sighed and looked at Vic, "Yes. If you were willing to blindly follow orders then you would be... less than useful." He looked over to the unconscious Zatana who glowed blue briefly, "He should be coming around shortly. I will explain in full then as he is equally vital to the survival of this world." He paced around the room, "To put it simply though, who I am is I am The Phantom Stranger. Forget about my real name, you won't find it, that is part of my curse. Anything beyond that I am a stranger and a servant of The Presence is inconsequential."

He looked out the window, "You may choose to not follow anything I say. You are a free man. I am not. But I will remind you of the terrible, terrible consequences that will arise should things continue this way." He said, his voice grave as the room changed into a view of the earth from space. It was completely brown, no water, no trees, no lights illuminating its surface. It was reduced to a mere hunk of rock. The room changed again, this time they were in the smoldering ruins of a large city. "This is Gotham in a few years time if things do not change." The Stranger reached out an arm to motion to the city, "There is no life here. There is no life anywhere. This is what needs to be prevented." He said as the room returned to normal.

Zatana slowly returned to consciousness, blinking slowly. He felt full up, as though his stamina had been perhaps over-refunded, like he was as powerful as he was twenty years ago. The two men in purple suits stood at the foot of his hospital bed, which Zatana assumed he was brought to after the fight. He looked around the room without making a noise, when he spotted his track jacket and sweatpants neatly folded on top of an endtable to his right. He quickly lept out of the bed, his gown going every which way. He stood for about a second and a half before falling to his knees. He quickly reached up into the pocket of the track jacket from the floor, retrieving the transmitter and whispering into it, "Batman? Hello? I need some assistance here!"

Acknowledging the stranger and the Stranger in front of him, he slowly stood, brushed off the gown, and with a snap, a puff of smoke, and a muttered incantation, the Magnificent Zatana stood before them. He looked them in where he approximated eyes to be: one had nothing but white holes in a mask and the other had nothing at all. He stood there, silent, waiting for a response from Batman.

Captain Marvel brushed off his hands, and admired his handiwork, finishing up putting the solid titanium door of STARlabs back to its former glory, without the fist-shaped hole.
"Thanks for all the help, Mr..." one of the STARlabs employees began, reaching out a hand to shake.
"Captain Marvel, and it's no biggie. Anything to help." He eagerly takes the hand, taking a second to try to not throw this man in the air with his shake. Captain Marvel flashes his charming smile, his golden cloak fluttering in the midnight breeze. "Did you see where the lady who did this went?" The STARlabs employee gestures inward, and Captain Marvel thanks him.

"So... Can I just go inside? Isn't there like security or something?"
The employee thinks for a second. "Oh, yeah. I guess there is." He mutters "nobody's used it today" under his breath. "Uh, right this way, I guess. We'll get you checked in at the front desk." Captain Marvel eagerly follows behind the employee.

The Question

"This is crazy." Vic muttered while Stranger told Vic who he was. "But, it's not that hard to believe, with the world we live in. But I am keeping my eye on you. I still don't know enough about you, and that means you're dangerous." Vic said pointing his finger at Stranger. Vic then gasped when the world around him started to change into a lifeless wasteland. "What the hell..." Vic whisepered.

Vic realized he was holding his breath in from surprise and slowly started to breathe again. "That..was...What are these creatures willing to do to this planet?" Vic asked. He might have been asking himself or Stranger, he didn't know.

He rubbed his head, and sighed. "Fine. I will help you and the others with...whatever this is." Vic said. He was still a bit cautious but he needed to do what was right, not what he felt was right. That was when the man who is in the suit had gotten up and spoke into his transmitter. Vic looked at him and sighed. "Don't try to make this hard for us. Listen to what this man has to say" Vic said said to the man and then looked at Stranger so he could explain everything.

Blue Beetle

"Wait, where are you going?" Ted asked as the pink alien in the green suit flew out. He sighed and looked around. "I have all this tech with me. I'm sure it can help you with whatever is happening. Wait..did you say aliens?" Ted asked, curious.
