With slight themes of dark souls.
If you wish to use this roleplay anywhere else, I would like it if you contacted me about it first.
Also, this is a hack and slash with themes of darkness. Gore, dismemberment, killing everything in your way- that sort of deal.
Lastly, this is an intermediate roleplay.
Darker than Darkness,
About a land in the darkest of pits.
On a hill, solitary.
There he stood, crushing a soul.
Power surged through him, as the soul ground to dust under his fingertips. His entire frame glowed blue for several seconds before he turned around, walking down the hill, taking with him the last light. The land entered an age of darkness- the dark ages.
No one was trusted as technology growth became an all-time low. Civilized living simply disappeared, as the rich and the poor all became one, a surging rush of people trying to survive in the dark, where no light existed, only hell on Earth. There was no light, no one to save humans- instead, they reveled in the darkness, cutting throats, stealing, doing whatever they had to survive.
Why did they do it? Because crime prospered- it flourished, it was the only way to live. Cutting your neighbor's throat and stealing his belongings didn't seem so bad when everyone else was doing it.
But soon man reinvented simple things like the wheel, and made fire- which illuminated the gloomy, bleak, land. And for once, there was hope. They began searching for better ways to light the land- lights that don't perish as the fuel source flutters and dies away- in their travels, as they crushed the soul of an especially powerful demon, life returned to that region, and light flourished.
One region has been saved from the darkness, surrounded on all side by ominous misty borders of darkness. No one knows how many arche demons there are, but they live triumphant. No more time to be scared, no more time to be driven back by the creatures in the dark- or by the humans themselves.

A government has been set up, and humanity is back, pulling itself up from the cliff they were painfully kicked off of.
Colonies are forming.
And the darkness is being explored.
