Hatsu Kashizaki

Aldeeran Academy

Hatsu couldn't help but be absorbed in the beauty of that landscape that lost itself within the bluish horizon, as if a peaceful sensation unfolded inside of her the more she took in the view. The sun shone high above the blue sky, light sun rays burning red in her eyes, engraving the magnificent silhouette of the fire giant in her retinas. Waves of fresh grass were blown in her direction; as they passed her by, the sweet rejuvenating scent carried by the breeze seeped into her nose. Far from the gigantic horizon expanding, she noticed dozens of figures blurring, as each student ran off to a brighter future; the birds that tore apart the thin curtain of clouds that covered the sky singing something that entranced her.

She didn't quite capture the scenery at first but as she started paying a third of her attention to her surroundings, the school grounds became the most astonishing thing she had ever seen.

That sudden beauty made her remember something she hid away in her memories, it was those summer days all over again, years flew by but she still recalled every detail to perfection. A wave of nostalgia kicked in, almost for no reason whatsoever. She remembered everything, from the way the sun stabbed holes in the heat as it burned ablaze, the way cicadas cried in choir, singing a mournful lament in unison, the way Mary held her hand as they strolled along the streets, her red cape graciously flowing with the wind, her reassuring smile shining a beam of light in that dark void that used to be Hatsu's anxieties and insecurities.

Taken at a glance, one could say she was still stuck in those never ending days filled with sorrow and longing, still trapped in that cruel world that seemed so unreal nowadays. That smile she couldn't protect wasn't there after all, no matter what god she pleaded to, she couldn't turn back to those simpler days she was at Mary's side. And if a time machine to go back to the day wasn't an option, then she'd simply have to indulge in whatever peace she had here. At least this fleeting sense of freedom and peace wasn't masked in loneliness, there were people right in front of her, this was real. Right?

Hatsu was taken back into reality when Harry leaned in closer to her, her eyes shot wide open when she realized that her training had gotten the best of her. The moment Harry caught her off guard, her reflexes flinged her right hand upwards, going for Harry's throat. Luckily she managed to catch her own hand before one her teammates lost his head, quite literally.

She struck a pose to disguise the almost accidental execution and with a friendly smile she responded "You sure are quite the personality aren't you?." She didn't really know how to go about this one, Hatsu was overwhelmed by the amount of confidence this guy was boasting, so she figured the best course of action was just to act as neutral as she could, hoping Harry would lose interest somewhere along the road.

"Anyways, name's Hat- She was abruptly interrupted by Kumi's reprehension on her irresponsibility. Who was this girl? Where was all of this authority coming from? And why did she feel the need punch her? Hatsu was ready to commit manslaughter but she bit her lip with all of her might, afraid of perhaps ruining the possibility of a friendship blossoming from this encounter, and just nodded apprehensively as Kumi kept talking, adding a uninterested sounding "Mhm..." every now and then.

"Alright, now that that's out of the way, my name is Hat- She was again cut off by Aoi's ranting. A weight was lifted off Hatsu's shoulders. Aoi's insults seemed pretty tame, all things considered, it was manageable. "As i was saying, my name is Hatsu, quirk is- But her words fell on deaf ears once again, Aoi quickly ran off, leaving her whole team behind.
She was baffled, and still dumbstruck, so she ended up speaking in true cavemen language "Hatsu... Quirk... Punch..."

Hatsu's bloodshot eyes looked forward, watching with murderous intent as Aoi kept running with no sign of stopping, she could catch up fairly quick if she used her quirk but that would be childish and stupid, only leaving her incapacitated for the rest of the exams if she didn't focus hard enough. She didn't really care though. She didn’t even know the girl but she already wanted to drag Aoi's arrogant face through the ground.

"What the hell have i gotten myself into..." Were her final thoughts, as she let out a sigh, a tired expression on her face.

The goliath of a creature stood motionless in the arena, seemingly unfazed by the student's arrival until it spoke. "SHOCKING!" was all it said. It took no action to move or attack. Just stood still, it's gold badge gleaming in the sunlight. With its strange costume, it was unknown if the student(?) could even see.

Yasu and Kazue were really starting to dislike this Hoshi guy. They followed after Hoshi and Betty into the building. Yasu was going to give in to rage and strike Hoshi from behind with his bat, when suddenly an incredible pain sent straight from the depth of hell ran through him, causing him to drop his bat and release a high-pitch scream. As he looked down, he realized that he had stepped on what appeared to be a... lego brick? In fact, the whole corridor was full of them! Walls of lego blocked off most of the pathways, forcing attackers down one very specific path leading to, no joke, a lego brick fortress. Built into the walls of the fortress to prevent head-on attack were what appeared to be several trapped victims. On top of the fortress in a well-defenced position, stood a single student, who quickly started chucking makeshift cannonballs made out of... yep, more lego.

As Aoi also rushed impatiently into unknown territory, she was immediately noticed by a student wearing a red badge, with a look of sheer maddened desperation in her eyes. "GOLD-BADGE GOLD-BADGE GOLD-BADGE GOLD-BADGE!!!" The student started loudly chanting to themselves. The dough the victims were trapped in began to grow, stretch and merge to form what appeared to be some sort of giant catapult, which quickly pulled back on its own, allowing the villain to load it with another boulder of dough secreted from her fingers. "Take out examinees. Impress principle. Get gold badge. Profit." the villain chanted to herself, a mantra of motivation. With the elastic power of dough, the catapult-launched the projectile straight at the examinees. The projectile morphed in the air, spreading out and stretching to cover as much area as possible.

Chisuke followed his team towards the fountain in the school grounds and ad he did so, he couldn't help but think for a moment that he actually was part of a team. Working with others really wasn't something that he did well in the past, with the exception of Prince. That wasn't to say that he's never some group work before, but in those times he never really spoke up much. Here though, well Chisuke couldn't put his finger on it but he was actually getting along quite well with Haruka and Chikage. Hell, if they all got in then maybe he could actually add two more friends to his list; his mother would certainly be happy about that.

When they got to the fountain Chisuke didn't argue as Haruka suggested they head to the arena. Her reasoning was valid and he had already elected her as the team leader, not that he had really good anyone out loud. Besides, he had heard her amazing this arena was and Chisuke wanted to see at at least once in case he didn't get in; not that he was even entertaining the thought that he wouldn't pass this exam. After all, he was part of one kick ass team.

But that confidence seemed to drain a bit as he saw the huge giant in front of them. He didn't seem to notice them yet, but if he did they'd he in trouble. That's when Chisuke noticed the badge, making sure to silently point it out to anyone. Next he focussed on what he said, 'shocking'. Chisuke turned to Prince, "maybe check if he had any electronics on him? Since he keeps saying shocking?" It was probably a dumb suggestion, but what was the harm.

( pbtenchi pbtenchi PlusUltra PlusUltra Hugh Flynn Hugh Flynn morspoeta morspoeta )

Prince nodded reflexively as he felt the phone lines making a connection, inducing four small zaps that stunned him for a second. His hearing changed to static before clearing out into a voice, Haruka's. "Testing? Rosebud, Shine, Machine Gun Kiss?" As soon as her voice rang loud and clear, he smiled ecstatically and gave everyone a thumbs up. "Awesome! Our makeshift coms are working now! All you gotta do is speak into yo-" His voice trailed off as they entered the stadium, a giant hulking man standing menacingly in the center. "G-guys I'm not the only one seeing bootleg Slenderman there right?"
"SHOCKING.." the man shouted unenthusiastically.
"Maybe check if he had any electronics on him? Since he keeps saying shocking?" inquired Chisuke.
Prince nodded in reply, a feeling of anticipation bubbling up in his core. He activated his technosense and scanned the area, a few cameras pinging on his radar and a new ping that came from the giant. "I don't know, all he has is a cellphone and nothing else."
Prince accessed the nearby cameras, scanning their views to fully assess the entire field.
"I don't see anything out of the ordinary. He's alone, he has no weapon, there seems to be noone hiding elsewhere. So I'm taking a guess that he's here to one v four us?"
He stared at the giant's hands, shivering at the thought of what might happen if the giant got a hold of one of them. Prince drew his gun from its holster, priming it for battle.
"No weapon... I say we should test the waters, do some evasive melee duels to get him to use his quirk. Or maybe just go in for the kill, restrain him with Chikage's vines. Although I suggest the first option, he's wearing that gold badge for a reason."

Harry continued to smile pleasantly as Aoi once again snapped at him in anger over his saying she needed them. He decided maybe it would be best to not remind her of her earlier declaration that they needed to help her. He let out a quiet ‘ow’ when Aoi stomped on his foot but didn’t particularly mind. As Kumi stuffed the used tissue back into his pocket Harry slowly reached in, skewering it on his hook and flicked it off into a nearby rubbish bin while she explained her quirk.

He made to walk back over to the group but found that Aoi had already sprinted off in a direction. He glanced curiously at his other teammates before posing dramatically, waving his arms in wide circles before pointing after the girl.

“Harry’s Angels, moving out!” He boldly proclaimed, before turning and running after her. She was quick, but his longer stride allowed him to keep her in sight. As he saw her stop, he glimpsed the strange catapult contraption a little ways off. It launched a projectile into the air that rapidly spread out.

“Look out!” Harry called as he moved closer, making sure to stay outside the range of the mystery material.

Haruka skids to a halt along with the rest of the team as the figure finally comes into view within the large open area atop a raised section of flooring that was presumably a ring of sorts, despite being more of a square. Looking him over they were definitely going to be an issue, the gold badge namely proved appearances might have something to back them up even if she was questioning how the man could even see in that outfit. Leaning forward slightly she squints her eyes focusing on the mask, in particular, the way it muffled the voice slightly and the material there couldn't be any real way he could see through it, so maybe he had some other way of seeing around him? or maybe it was a handicap?. She remains silent for a few moments seemingly just starring down the giant before turning to the rest of her team.

"No backup, No weapon, No obvious plan? Yeah fairly sure he's confident in that gold star of his. There doesn't seem to be any hostages around to rescue either so this is just a straight fight then.." she pauses looking conflicted for a moment or two "Normally ganging up on someone wouldn't be right, but this isn't a formal duel type challenge at least he's not asked for that, plus he is bigger than all of us put together so from a certain point of view it is still a 1v1 you know?...hmm plus he's been here for longer too" slowly nodding as if justifying the entire engagement in her mind.

"But testing the waters? Going in hard? can be done the same..."Haruka stretches slightly before tightening her bow and walking forward "Might as well see how high this first mountain really is, so time to start swimming up rather than just staring for too long, you can try and catch whatever comes off" Her step slowly gaining in pace before she is outright running, going to cross her arms in front of her as she charges, bouncing upwards at the last moment to snaping them both outwards on either side of the man's neck in scissor-like slams.

Chikage dozed off a bit, only realising that she had been not paying attention to where her team has gone in the last minute as she looked around to spot them, and while doing so, she caught the giant goliath with her eyes. "SHOCKING..!" They seemed to be somewhere of fourteen feet, though they looked far taller and astonishing to her which made her so very cautious as to not reveal her own quirk to the giant until they themselves show her their quirk unless their quirk was one which let them become taller.

When she finally discovered where her team had gone to, she most likely missed out on quite a bit of information, but she was still catching up soon enough. She caught a glimpse of Prince's what seemed like last words, to which she started to shake her head, "...Or maybe just go in for the kill, restrain him with Chikage's vines. Although I suggest the first option, he's wearing that gold badge for a reason." Chikage tapped her chin in thought once or twice before responding, a fairly weary sigh escaping her, "To make such long vines to wrap around this goliath would take a minute or two, but if we have to do anything else after this, I'll be nothing but dead weight for several minutes, maybe even up to thirty. Unless I make the vines in around ten minutes which shouldn't exhaust me as much, though I'd need you to buy me some time, about five minutes would do." She mumbled the last part of her sentence, starring at the ground in deep thought up until the moment she noticed that Haruka had charged off to the giant. Chikage was a bit awestruck from the way how confident she was, though the plant girl was also dreading the fact that she went out there alone before telling everyone anything else but her announcement. She followed after the other female with a slower pace, as she pulled her long sleeves up to reveal her arms which were scattered with scars from her previous attempts to make her quirk work, just like now. She was ready to make vines with her one hand, meanwhile the other was there just in case she needed it for something else.

When the dark-haired girl had gotten close enough to the goliath for her to be able to wrap vines around them, she had stopped, the gears in her head turning to think of a fair plan until she remembered one from earlier. She had gotten on one of her knees and put her right hand's palm on the ground, meanwhile, her left hand had been close to her chest, readying it to shoot a series of long vines which would be strong enough to pull her with them when they were going to wrap around the giant. Her heart was hammering in her chest, she could feel it exceptionally clearly due to her hand being close to her. She took in a few breathes to calm down, her head down low, as hearing was the only thing she was trusting from now on, her eyes glued on the ground just like before.

The titan didn't seem to have any reaction to Haruka's leap attack or Chickage's lower attack, at least at first. It didn't move an inch from it's spot. The zip on it's mask slowly pulled down, dragged by an unseen force. Name: Hachi Kaibutsu. Quirk: Mk VIII. Around 24 or so gigantic humanoid arms burst out from the zip. The arms were slender, and far longer than arms should be, having multiple elbows allowing them to bend and move in interesting ways. Now, the disadvantage of leap attacks is that it's hard to dodge once flying through the air on momentum, so unless someone interfered quickly, poor Haruka was about to get hit very, very hard.

"LEGO?! WHAT KIND OF DUMB QUIRK IS THAT?!" Yasu shouted at the assailant, activating his quirk.
"SHUT UP!" the student on the fortress yelled back, throwing a lego ball at Yasu, which he smashed with his bat.
"How do we deal with this?" Yasu called over to the rest of the group, looking for guidance.
"Simple. You three distract them, and I'll tear down the wall."

Betty picked up some legos and they started to glow in her hand "you want a distraction or destruction? how about both!" she jumps out from cover and starts throwing the explosive legos at the wall, blowing small holes around the wall, avoiding the hostages. "HEY LEGOBRAIN! BRICK HEAD! STUPID.....LOSER! I'M GONNA BLOW UP YOUR STUPID WALL BIT BY BIT!"

Prince gagged in disgust as the hideous spectacle of numerous humanoid arms erupted from the zipper. Oh goD WHAT IS THAT QUIR- He didn't have time to finish as the multiple arms churned and contorted its form, heading straight for Haruka like some sort of sentient monster. "HARUKA! WATCH OUT!" He sincerely hoped she heard him, both through his voice volume and their comms. He quickly drew his bb gun and felt the technology activate under his touch. He felt as the circuits in the bb's thrummed with power, just waiting to do his bidding. Prince took aim and fired three pellets, programming the circuits to overload and detonate as soon as they pass Haruka. The explosions should be enough to at least deter further motion of the gold badge student if it doesn't wound him. Please please please try to avoid the explosions, and please please please let the explosions hit him.

Chisuke was also shocked to see the arms suddenly grow from the strangers face. His mind began racing with questions, though most were useless. But one question that might come in handy was the thought of whether this guy could grow arms anywhere, or just his face. Of course these thoughts were put on hold as his friends spring into action. As Chisuke spotted Prince and Haruka going for the head, he knee he need to go for the lower half. "Chikage! I'm going to strike his left angle, use your vines on his right. Let's bring this guy down," he shouted to her, "and be careful, his face might not be the only place those arms grow." Chisuke then ran to the strangers left leg and began striking the back of his ankle.

Hoshi Hayashi

Alderaan Academy

The corridors of the now empty school really made a good job of creeping Hoshi out. In his pursuit of the girl he even forgot the path they took, so their eventual escape route had to depend on either luck (which Hoshi had plenty) or the other students’ memory. While others stood surprised at the sudden lego corridor, he simply brushed his hair away (which fluttered in the wind even though there was no wind to be spoken of) and stroke a confident pose.
“I do agree, dear Yasu. I pity the user.” He took out three rubber balls from his pocket. “Oh no no. I am not a distraction.” Hoshi took a step forward. “I am the main event. You support me. I’ll snipe them down.” One of the lego cannonballs approached him rapidly. 45mph should be enough. He threw one of the balls gently, yet after a second it swished through the air, colliding with the projectile and making it bounce to the side. Another one, same strategy. Another of his 'bullets' cancelled the enemy lego ball. Now for the enemy. Pretty far away, and I do need to make it extra spicy for all those watching. 70mph should be manageable. This time Hoshi took a second to aim at the singular student, and threw his final ball with a long windup. After it left his hand, he turned around like an action hero who never watches the explosion he caused. His nose started bleeding, but he tried to hide it with an elegant hand motion.

Taking a quick glance up when she wasn't able to hear anything, Chikage's eyes were wide open as the arms flew from the top of the goliath's body, her face paling at the sight of what she'd call 'monstrosities'. She was deathly frightened by human body parts, not to mention hands or arms that could move on their own. While she was looking at the arms, she barely heard what Chisuke had said, but she was lucky enough to catch some of it. The plant girl stood up and started sprinting to the other side of the giant because she was on their left side, and while she was doing so, she extended two, rather lengthy vines long enough to wrap around Haruka's waist and drag her down to ground level, or more like into Chikage's arms because that was the only way she could think of a safe landing without having to use any of her other, more energy taking tactics.

When she had gotten to the other side, and successfully caught the other female in her arms, she put the blonde down on the ground, her breathing fast and rushed, just to get oxygen into her lungs. For a second, she stared at the ground, her hand over where her heart had been, trying to calm it down while words spilt from her mouth, "I'm so sorry for bringing you down, I had panicked and couldn't think of a better way to get you out of harms reach. I know I maybe should've trusted you, but protecting a teammate to me seemed crucial." And with that small explanation, she straightened her back, gave Haruka an apologetic glance and small smile of most likely unneeded reassurance, Chikage lifted her left hand up, got ready to jump, and released another series of long vines, this time only three because the other two were already used, and raised herself up from the ground by latching her vines to the goliath's right arm, her other hand already getting ready to release more if something were to happen to the other ones as they extended slowly to wrap around the giants back.

She had barely had time to lower her hands into the slam when the hands had appeared, though fortunately a well-timed warning an explosion from her teammates did give them an opening to save herself somewhat. Her fingers would spread out as small globules of blackish residue formed atop each to be flicked forward at the some of the arms and giant giving her the leverage she needed, seemingly forming a line of material for an anchor like a point. It was true for most people dodging in the air was not something that was possible, but as soon as you threw in quirks or creativity that assumption went out the window, so with a strong pull on the newly formed thread, Haruka was flying through the air to the side around the figure but not before one fist managed to catch her in the arm like a sledgehammer. The girl let out a pained grunt at the blow, the right side of her body being thrown off leading her to swing one-handed as the material on her shoulder seemed to have been blasted away by the force exposing what appeared to be ink-black skin with a strange flowing pattern beneath the layers of fabric. What was the impact didn't seem to break anything despite its force, a bruise would likely form sure if it could even be seen below the ink but it was as if a good deal of the force was absorbed, seemingly more like beating a tire than a person.

This was one of the advantages of her quirk, most blunt attacks were highly ineffective against her pliable body needing an extreme amount of force to even do damage, it was why she had chosen to rush in to get the giant to play his hand..or well hands as soon as possible. Kicking off the shoulder the best she can she tries to spin all the way around to his backcasting out several more globules for movement and perhaps also to restrict the storm of hands, after all the more hands you had the more you had to get stuck and tangled right?. Regardless it was clearly dealing with those limbs was the first port of call and avoiding getting grabbed by them was important, or perhaps not....now she knew the force if she is ready to use it against this guy.

"I'll hit him high, you hit him lo..." she was suddenly cut off by the Vines yanking her down to ground level out the way of one of the hands, working to pull herself to the side and bounce onto her feet after landing in the girls hands "....or you could do that i guess" a somewhat sarcastic tone leaking in for a moment before looking across to her plant companion and noticing her look "Its fine...force against force i rebound and hit them harder, thanks for the save though" while she was slightly annoyed at the sudden movement, the girl was trying her best so probebly best not to snap at her for it, still they had a job to do. Keeping the stretching sticky strands attached she works to try and wrap them around the leg somewhat before pulling on one that had been attached to the shoulder she had passed to get herself back up into the air where she had more mobility against the larger man.

Flipping somewhat to attach the material to her shoes, she begins to go more on the offensive and throwing out blows of her own intent on striking the firsts themselves that were coming towards her most likely, using the force to have her limb rebound off, stretch behind her before seemingly coming back with more force and speed through the use of the residue in a storm of blows, her own force and the properties of their body. All the while she appeared to be moving somewhat unpredictably through the air with the various threads of material seemingly allowing her to swing around or make sudden changes in her movement.

Hachi paused for a moment, thinking.
Springy girl; damage resistant. Mobile. Versatile.
Plant girl; vines. Versatile.
Punk guy; explosions. Painful. Ranged attacker? Explosion Quirk?
Plain guy; Unknown. Dangerous.

Hachi formed a plan of action. Leave springy girl for last, identify the unknown. The arms that were chasing Haruka withdrew and every free arm changed direction to target Chisuke, bending around to attack at multiple angles. Meanwhile, the main body hunched into a defensive position.

The battle between Hachi and the students was being watched from afar, from the camera room to be precise.
A teacher watched the events unfold, laughing to himself. “Kukukuku... Smash them! Smash them!” What appeared to be a multitude of threads spread from the man, and seemed to be wielding a pen to scratch down notes whilst he watched the events played out.
A second person walked into the room. ”Should a teacher really be saying that? Also, I’ve got the popcor- Holy shit, what is that thing?!” The man exclaimed at the sight of Hachi.
Now who’s saying bad things as a teacher? This beautiful specimen is Hachi, one of our prized students. You shouldn’t ever be revolted by a student’s appearance or quirk.
You mean that thing is human?
I thought you were meant to be the nice one of the two of us. If you must know, Hachi is the eighth generation of a very special family. When quirks first appeared and the world fell into chaos, someone had an idea. To breed quirks in order to create a superior enlightened and perfect human, and usher in a new golden era.
So quirk eugenics.
Yep.
That’s disgusting.
That’s one way to look at it. But I suppose they lost sight of that original goal along the way. They became desperate to create a physically superior being and forgot what it meant to be human. Hachi can only even say one word. Or perhaps they have an even greater grasp on humanity than we do.
What’s that your writing?
A report on what sort of quirks to breed into the family next. What? Don’t look at me like that, they’re rich and I still have to pay alimony.

Kazue stabbed her arms into the fortress wall and pulled out two of the captive students. "WAAAAAHHH!" one of them cried, releasing a waterfall of tears. "I THOUGHT I WAS A GONER!!! YOU SAVED ME! WAAAAH!!!"
"Get off me!" Kazue shouted back in disgust.
The student ontop of the fortress looked down at the unfolding events. "You know, for someone in the drama club... You'd think he'd be better at acting." they unveiled with a smirk.
*Chink*
In a blur, the crying student had handcuffed himself to Kazue and unveiled an evil grin.

Rego Kenchikka
Villain
Badge: Blue
Quirk: Bricks
Rego can create small non-trademark bricks, that click together to build strong structures. However, they have to be assembled manually. Rego overcomes this flaw by cooperating with Jinsoku.

Jinsoku Yubi
Villain, pretended to be a victim.
Badge: Blue
Quirk: Fast Fingers
Jinsoku's quirk is very simple. He can move his fingers incredibly fast. They aren't any more durable than regular fingers, however. Jinsoku makes up for having a not terribly impressive quirk with ingenuity.

"So you've attached yourself to try and weaken me. What now? As far as I can see you don't have any means to neutralize me."
"Huh?"
"Did you seriously not think ahead? Well, it wouldn't of worked anyway, because..." As she spoke, Kazue casually raised her arm, lifting Jinsoku off the ground.
"Huh?!"
With ease, Kazue swung the surprised student full force into the fortress, using him as a wrecking ball to tear the remainder of the fortress down. "I'm a little bit powerful."
At that exact moment, Hoshi's 70 miles per hour rubber ball collided perfectly with Rego's temple, who didn't see the counter-attack coming, knocking them unconscious instantly.
"H-huh? It's over already? I... I didn't even get to do anything!"

As Chisuke began his assault, he looked up and saw the hands changing course to target him. At first Chisuke was confused; why we're the arms targeting him. Surely it made more sense to target Prince, since his attacks seemed more immediately threatening. That's when it suddenly hit Chisuke; all the others had shown their quirk, except Chisuke. That meant he was an unknown, this a greater risk. Seemed, that this...thing....wasn't as dumb as he looked. Of course, while the element of surprise was nice, being the main target of attacks was not.

As the arms reached Chisuke began dodging and blocking the incoming attacks. The stuff he's learned from Krav Maga did manage to help him somewhat, but not for long. Krav Maga was made to quickly take down human opponents, not ....whatever this guy was. The arms would start hitting him soon and even if Chisuke wanted to use his quirk, he wasn't going to give up his element of surprise. So he just braced for impact and hoped his team would rescue him. Or they'd use his distraction to take this guy down.

Hatsu Kashizaki

Unknown Forest
Not sure if i'm allowed to make flashbacks appear out of nowhere, but here you go. Hope i didn't mess anything up

Discerning a dull thud accompanied by the creaking of a handful of branches was what brought her consciousness back. Her chest remained motionless, the only signs of life shown were her fingers twitching slightly. The one and only thing moving about were the leaves of the trees rippling as the wicked winter howled, sending a chilling, cold, indifferent wind to the nape of her neck.

Her body performed a macabre dance with a spasmodic motion, as she returned to her senses. This was followed by a desperate intake of air, more of a loud gasp, as if her lungs craved for all the possible air they could get. She held onto that breath for a while before releasing it with a ghoulish exhale. In a wavery and unstable manner, Hatsu Kashizaki began breathing once again.

A pair of crimson eyes that gleamed in the dark looked around in bewilderment at the sight of the world around them. Every color that painted the scenery fading away and melting at her gaze, as every snippet of light began flickering violently she noticed a bizarre feeling of disembodiment-- or perhaps numbness. She first associated it with fatigue or some other psychological factor, but then she came to a crude realization. It was blood loss.

She turned and saw the ground stained in a bloody spectacle. A pool of blood extended itself all the way to where her sight reached; some of it had already coagulated, making the view even more gruesome. She held out her hand before her gaze and with a decrepit sigh she noticed what that unsettling sensation of being lifted off the ground was all about.

"Ah..." there was "something" impaling her chest, keeping her suspended in the air.

"Could you please stop moving? Keeping your organs functioning is getting really annoying. You're being a pain in the ass." The voice of a man resounded in her head.

"What...?" She responded, her chest heaving like it starved for more air.

"Ah! Of course. Short term memory loss. How many times do we have to go through this, Hatsu?" He said in a tone that expressed annoyance in its purest form.

"I'm Minoru, your oldest brother. We're currently training your senses by constantly forcing your brain into a state of tachypsychia. In other words, i'm going to be killing you over and over again until your perception of time grows accustomed to whatever the hell you're looking at right now."

"How..."
Hatsu inquired, her voice sounding weaker than before.

"Remember how your quirk allows you to boost your muscles?" Minoru paused for a bit. "Nah. Of course you don't." Then continued. "Well, please do keep in mind that your heart is indeed a muscle, dumbass. If your quirk weren't subconsciously acting up you'd be dead right now."

"Why..."
She wanted to ask, but her voice quickly died out as all of her strength banished. She simply could not keep her mind blank, she tried finding enough will deep within herself, in a vague attempt to stifle the idea, but failed miserably. As her tears began overflowing, a disgusting resent became too real.

"Just go back to sleep. My telekinesis combined with your 'muscle enhancement' should make this a breeze. It'll all be over in a week." A week? It felt as if she'd already been there for over a decade.

In that exact moment, Hatsu's weakened will to live finally succumbed to reality. Being alone with her stormy thoughts, what little sanity she had left was consumed by a dark whirlwind of emotion. With what little strength she retained, she clenched her teeth and cursed to hell every single soul she had met in her meaningless life. It wasn't exactly her best moments, it was rather pathetic and sickening, but that was only her own humanity speaking.

And just like that, her consciousness faded into darkness once again.

Aldeeran Academy

Demonstrating her admirable resolve, Hatsu reluctantly dropped the idea of chasing Aoi and doing something she would later regret. She instead sat down with her legs crossed, adopted a more relaxed posture and decided on letting off some steam by star gazing. There were no stars, it was daytime, what a goddamn fool.

She frowned at the fact. "Harry's Angels, moving out!" But her frown only grew larger when Harry baptized the now self-proclaimed team and, maybe with a bit too much enthusiasm in his gait, ran after Aoi.

She knew what he did there, and she would've given him a slow round of applause, but alas, she wasn't in the mood for humor right now.

Hatsu stood up with her energy completely drained and with a sinister aura surrounding her she walked with a hunchback posture towards the duo. Her blank and lifeless stare took a 180 degree turn when she saw the dough-like mysterious material flying towards her team. The corners of her mouth slowly rose until forming a smirk.

She was the first one to notice the gigantic contraption firing the thing that was about to rain down on them. After all, true speed is relative, the fastest are those whose brains are capable of analyzing a situation in the blink of an eye. And the people around her were awfully slow. The angel by Hatsu's side was telling her to save Aoi and Harry from the dough catastrophe but the little devil on her shoulder hummed a completely different tune. After remembering her first encounter with chick magnet Harry, she recalled something.

"I must stay neutral…" She muttered the words to herself.

“Bug girl, Kumi. Leave it to me.” She addressed the remaining members of her team with a casual tone before giving them a thumbs up.

She took her time to lace up before the run and tilted her head downwards after getting into position. Every single muscle in her body tensed in a way that made her skin adopt a reddish tone, a dense haze leaving her mouth as she placed every ounce of her concentration into her breathing until perfecting it. Her right hand slowly moved upwards until it placed itself in a certain spot on her chest where a pretty gnarly scar rested. The moment her heart associated the sudden contact with being impaled to that pole once again, the whites in her eyes became bloodshot. Everything began moving in slow motion, or perhaps her sight had been sped up.

Rote learning at its finest

She took in one last breath that held for a moment and then released itself with an explosive exhale, followed by Hatsu disappearing in a red flash, only leaving behind a trail of dust.

"Your quirk is fucking useless. Stop bothering people." She said after reappearing in front of the dough-slinger, her signature smile completely gone, instead her face scrunched in annoyance and realization. All that blood that went up to her brain and the forced release of adrenaline coursing through her bloodstream made her remember something the principal said. She could not harm the students. And with the amount of strength she had gathered it'd be a miracle if she didn't leave the poor 'villain' wheelchair bound with just one punch.

Her sharp gaze took one last glance at the student. She then slipped right through her blind spot and stood behind her, she could turn that sinuous snake into a coiling python and put the villain in a choke hold but she was lacking the energy for it, hell, she was using up all her willpower just to stay conscious at this point. Taking the psychological warfare route, she snatched the red badge's, well, badge and took one big leap backwards just to keep the distance between them.

She wiped the sweat of her brow and spat out some blood, she got too carried away, and her movements ended up being erratic.

Recalling something Minoru said back in the day made her stifle a chuckle. “Your moves need to flow like a damn river but strike like a raging fire. N… Not the best metaphor, but listen! Your footwork needs to be godlike, and if you don’t time your moves right you’ll end up wasting too much energy. Waste enough energy and you’re dead meat, simple as that.”

“He must be turning in his grave right now…”

She was positive she had left a heavy impression on the girl just now, she even used one of Minoru’s secret techniques to make the air around her vibrate, just to replicate an infrasound. If the 'villain' wasn’t downright terrified right now then that could only mean she was just as crazy as Hatsu.

If her quick analysis of the dough maniac was right, then her short fuse and couple of loose screws made her the type of girl that would fall for such lowly tricks and focus all of her attention on Hatsu. All she had to do was avoid any and all dough that comes her way and wait for her teammates to actually start doing something worth calling ’teamwork’.

Just thinking about all the different scenarios where everything could go horribly wrong made her already ecstatic smile grow unnerving.

Unwrapping the red cape from her waist and gracefully adorning it like a true hero would, she took a defensive stance and taunted the student with a smile.

Villains beware; The Asura has entered the stage.
This sounded way better in my head.

The giant seemed to do the unthinkable and retract all his arms to instead focus on chasing after Chisuke, resulting in a blitz of blows slamming into him with great force likely shredding part of the strange outfit as he instead seemed to be trying to hunch into an almost fetal position. It also left him wide open for Haruka to wrap an arm around the neck and pull backward, the various threads of sticky residue that had been ignored further restricting the giant's movements as the others attacked his legs resulting in the arms not only being pulled away from hitting Chisuke but also his balance likely being severely compromised to the point of being able to bring him down into the residue she had been using. All in all the man was in a sticky situation and the longer it went on the more of the gum-like threads were becoming tangled and turning the number of hands into a liability.

"He's strong sure but he's not got anything behind those hits other than force.." perhaps her meaning on the statement but the truth was clear to her, a real hit needed spirit and conviction behind it and this guy didn't seem to have either, it only needed one hit to be sure but it lacked the heart...which made her question if this was what the gold stars were really like? How can they be heroes without those things, she wanted to reject the very notion. She was looking forward to a fight against a hero, and this one despite the show on display was just feeling hollow. Regardless, the same plan can go on still, wear him down, further restrict his movements, and don't give up, after all, the longer the fight went on the more residue she could pull out, and the more this guy had to worry about.

Kumi was taken aback by the girl's chanting, the supposed villain of their scenario. Three of her teammates had already made it to their opponent, leaving Kumi and Mukade behind.

A thousand thoughts ran through her mind. For one, the pressure to perform had intensified with an additional member to their team. Granted, having an extra person in the team was a huge bonus, but they were going to be judged far more harshly than the rest, they were also going to be compared to everyone else. The entrance exam for them had just become a double-edged sword, they had to act in the most efficient manner if they wanted to pass the test. Kumi analyzed the dough surrounding the victims; she wondered if this villain's quirk was limited to secreting and manipulating dough, or could she also control any cooked results of dough? Could she launch pizzas at them? Could she make pizzas without an oven? That would be neat...

Focus, Kumi! There are people that need rescuing! A familiar voice rang out in her mind; it was enough to break Kumi free from her ruminating thoughts. However, the fear of failure remained. Kumi glanced at the victims once more. What was she doing? Why was she hesitating so much? She had been waiting for this moment all her life. She wanted to be a hero so she could protect people, and she was going to do just that. She was going to prove herself. She had to, for her father. Kumi came forward with a scowl on her face, joining the rest of her teammates. She thrust her hand in midair, as if to stop the villain from proceeding any further, sweat forming on her forehead from anticipation. "Try to pull as many people out as you all can!" She yelled out-loud before narrowing her gaze at the projectiles coming towards them.

Her bright green eyes gave way to a warm orange tint. It appeared that the dough's movements were suddenly slowed down.

We have about four minutes to make some big moves... make it count, everyone!

Aoi Kokegoke

Alderaan Academy

The sun shone brightly through the clear sky and onto the school field. The weather was almost perfect, yet a bit cloudy, with a chance of doughballs. One of the projectiles covered the said sun in all its gooey glory and came into Aoi’s view. In fact, it not only entered her vision, but also travelled right at the girl who stood frozen by the sheer confusion amongst the greenery of academic fields. She gazed to others, also unmoving. A wild urge to pull somebody by the hand, or at least push them out of the way appeared. No. Aoi thought. If they can’t dodge this they shouldn’t be here. Her body bent as she tumbled to the left and waited for the ball to impact the ground. But it didn’t. Instead, it looked as if frozen mid air; still moving, but in slow motion.
“Keep it up!” Aoi shouted, unsure which of her teammates was responsible for the assist. Her emerald eyes travelled to the enemy. Is she crazy? Are all people here crazy? Aoi braced herself and, with all the normal human quirkless speed she could muster, dashed into the girl’s direction, dodging the onslaught off falling dough.
“Leave it to you?!” Aoi yelled at the new girl, sacrificing her maneuverability to turn around and scold her. “You’re not the one giving orders around… here..?” She was already gone. Only a cloud of dust remained, and from it, a blur of color and a gust of wind from the speed Hatsu reached. Aoi cursed under her breath and tried speeding up. She had no physical enhancement, no flashy tricks like slowing time; just a normal human. The gap though, was more tremendous than she could’ve ever imagined, even at the entry level. What was there left to do with her ability? Only charge forward and scream like a maniac, like she did through life itself. Scream and hope nobody will be crazy enough to approach you. Make them fear what they imagine you to be, not what you are. And so, with no rhyme or reason, Aoi jumped and tumbled around, dodging each of the balls aimed at her. When only a few meters remained, she jumped, and her fist went right into the girl’s stomach: a clean hit.
“Ha!” Aoi took a step backwards, totally winded. “Is that all you… got?” She stepped into something gooey, and in about one second, from a splendid one, the situation went to rather sticky. Aoi gulped.
I should’ve gone for the head. Hurry up, team. Do something. She begged in her mind, yet still maintained her intimidating demeanor. “Come on! You think you got me?! Laughable!”

Mukade Ito

Harry's Angles? Not gonna lie, Ito thought it was a pretty dumb name, but there really wasn't time to argue over it. As her team leapt into battle, Ito let out a ,"Hey don't leave me behind!"

Without a second thought, Ito sprinted after her teammates, with thoughts racing through her head. "What are we doing? Do we have a plan? Are we just fighting this guy?" She mindlessly dove into battle.

Ito wasn't the best at combat. She couldn't deal a whole lot of damage and she wasn't very intimidating, but she was good at dodging. It was rare that someone landed a hit on her physical form. Whenever an enemy swung, she'd just evaporated into a huge swarm of gnats, fly around the attack, and reform. Sure turning her entire body into insects was absurdly dangerous, but when they were all such small insects, only so much harm could be done. Hopefully, whatever bugs that were killed in the process were just blood cells, bits of muscle, or strands of hair.

"You've got this. You've got this. You're the strongest bug girl ever!" She hyped herself up before approaching the "villain." This student seemed to have a sticky goo that trapped their foes. Not good... Alongside Aoi and Kumi, Ito flew in, landed a few punches then disassembled and retreated, only to repeat the process. It was a pretty bold tactic, but she had found that it was harder to hit her if she kept moving. In between her human form and a giant 115 pound swarm of gnats, she announced, "I can distract her! You land in some good blows!" Hopefully Aoi was more cooperative than she seemed....

It was an almost unbeliebable sight, Hachi was getting wrapped up and tangled, and their head was being pulled backward in a painful-looking display. The hands that were attacking Chisuke slowed to a stop, as though the giant didn't have the strength or the breath to continue the assault. An extra arm squeezed out of the zip and waved a small white flag. "Sh-Shocking!!!"

Meanwhile in the camera room.
"What the hell?! Hachi can't be down that easily! I trained them better! They should have a million ways of dealing with this situation! Why is it surrendering? I know Hachi saved 12 more arms spare, and hasn't even showed the greater part of their abilities!" the thread-like appendages stretching from his body crushed the pen they had been using in frustration.
"It looked to me like its heart wasn't in it."
"They can't just hold back and surrender! That's the most anti-climactic ending!"
"I think those kids did pretty good. If Hachi is a gold badge, that means they are a lot stronger than a regular villain, so even if it held back at the end those students still have quite the achievement."
"But I wanted to watch Hachi beat them up!"
"Stitcher, remember your job."

Back in the Arena
Extra arms came out of the zip and politely presented a business card to Haruka. Written on it was as follows:

Kaibutsu Quirk Research Facility
Your Quirk is Amazing! Will you Marry me?
If not an option, we will pay for sperm/egg donations.
(Must be appropriately aged)
Call us at XXXXXXXXXXX for More Details!

If it was possible for a hooded monotone giant who could only say one word to seem shy, then that is how Hachi seemed as they spoke and pressed their fingers together nervously "Sh-shocking."

Yasu and Kazue Hirano

"H-huh? It's over already? I... I didn't even get to do anything!"
"Aww! It's okay Yaya! I'm sure there is still time in the exam for you to shine!" Kazue exclaimed before glomping her younger brother in a hug.
"GET OFF ME! YOUR HUGS ARE THE WORST! YOU USE TOO MUCH STRENGTH AND YOUR SKIN IS SANDPAPER! OW! OW! IT HURTS!"
Kazue released Yasu, and he folded to the floor, the wind crushed out of him. Kazue then proceeded to one by one pick up the defeated villains and the victims. Kazue could lift around 1200 pounds, which was approximately the weight of 5 average adult men meaning picking up the students wasn't too hard of a task.
The dough wielding girl proceeded to prove that higher levels of desperation could always be reached, as her face disturbingly contorted at the loss of her badge. "G... Give it back! I earnt that!" her attention was completely stolen by Hatsu, she didn't even lock eyes with Aoi when she hit her, just absentmindedly manipulated the dough to grapple and capture her. The dough catapult moved, wrapping around the red badge, launching her towards Hatsu. It seemed she wasn't entirely unconfident in her hand to hand combat skills, as she flew through the air hand outstretched to take back the badge.

All throughout the school campus, an announcement rang loud and clear, audible to all "THE EXAM WILL END IN 10 MINUTES. I REPEAT THE EXAM WILL END IN 10 MINUTES!"

As expected, the arms began pummeling Chisuke hard and fast; as if twenty men were beating on him at once. But Chisuke held his ground, taking each hit one after another. They all hurt like hell and would probably leave a few nasty bruises, but they were nothing compared to the pain he would have felt if he had used his quirk. In that way Chisuke suppose he was actually glad his quirk was so painful, as it made other injuries feel less painful by comparison. Besides, Chisuke couldn't get away even if he did want to. For one, the hits were coming far to fast and for another, he needed to keep those arms focussed on himself to give the others a chance to attack.

And as he had hoped, the others took their shots at the 'villain'. Chisuke didn't know how much stamina this guy had, but with anyone doing their part Chisuke knew it could be brought down. That's why Chisuke wasn't surprised to see Haruka take action, pulling the 'villain' down by the neck. It was a good move and open it up for a better attack from everyone. But before anyone could react, the 'villain'....surrendered? Now that surprised Chisuke, mostly because it felt so easy. But it still seemed like a victory. So Chisuke approached Haruka, albeit carefully and with an eye on the stranger.

Chisuke noticed the note in Harukas hand and looked over his shoulder to read it, his eyes widening as he did. "It....seems you've got an admirer,"

Hoshi Hayashi

Alderaan Academy

His ball hit right into its target. Hoshi let out a small sigh or relief, but maintained the full-of-himself posture. His whole body screamed ‘I told you so’. Although, he did let out a small ‘oufe’ when Kazue slammed the boy into the wall.
“Great teamwork, you three.” He put a thumbs up. “Now just carry them to the safe zone and get those points.” Just as he finished saying that, King announced that the exam was ending soon. That was fast. I guess if somebody hasn’t yet found or defeated a villain yet, they can’t be called a good candidate. “It’s like I said, dear Yasu. I almost feel bad you had me in your team. Too easy indeed.” He nodded his head while his hand rested on his chin in an attempt to look deep in thought or even smart. “Like candy from a child, or rather, legos from a… teenager.” He turned on his heel and headed to the exit. If they accept such losers then it will make it even easier for me to build up my reputation. This school was a great choice. He put his hands back into his pockets and continued his leisure stroll. “Come on, if we hurry up maybe I’ll let you drive me home with that fancy limousine of yours.” Throughout their short return, Hoshi made sure he always led the party (even though they made a bad turn because of it and lost about three minutes). However, they did reach the exit, with Hoshi squinting when sun shone into his eyes. Shades. Yes, shades seem like a good idea. He pondered while others did the carrying for him. Being a hero is hard work.

As the plant girl's vines were going around the giant's torso, including their arms(the ones connected to their body), she noticed how all the smaller arms with more elbows started targeting Chisuke, to which she started to stretch a few more vines to make a sort of a shield from something of more of a durable material to somewhat protect the white-haired boy, missing terribly and completely and just continuing to grow her vines so that they'd make another lap around the goliath while a series of relatively silent yet not-so-nice curse words left her mouth. When her vines had reached her from both sides, also while the arm-villain had been taking a protective position, she managed to detach them and make a small bow from the vines, patting them, and jumping off. She softened her landing by using a trampoline-like leaf, that took a lot from her energy-wise to make, from which she slid off of.

In that rather short, to Chikage, time frame, a lot seemed to have happened that the girl may have missed, including the way she was starting to see and walk fairly dizzily because she used a little too much of her quirk. She took a woozy step back to analyze the creature-like person they'd been trying to defeat this whole time, only now noticing their gold badge, which seemed to have finally made sense to her as to why this was like no ordinary match that she'd see anywhere else. While she was still pondering a few questions in her head, she saw how an arm squeezed from the zip and waved a white flag, meaning surrender, and how the principle, Liberty King, had announced that there were ten minutes left of the exam. A minor, barely visible smile rose to her face, glad that she got into a team with such great people.

Chikage started to take a few unsteady steps towards Haruka and Chisuke, all the while trying not to fall face-first on the ground from her sloppy walking. As she reached to a stop behind them both, she couldn't help but get a glimpse of the card in the blonde girl's hands, which made her eyes flicker deep red for a second before shrugging it off. "It....seems you've got an admirer." Those words made the dark-haired girl want to roll her eyes so hard, she'd roll them to the back of her head, but she resisted that thought and simply shook her head with a mute sigh. "Hey, we've got to get this big guy somewhere in order to get points, right? If so, we should get going. You heard the principle. Less than ten minutes left on the clock now." Maybe the words got out of her mouth a bit forced, but it was the best she could do not to pass out then and there from lack of water and a lot of stupidity for not bringing some water when she knows she needs it. Chikage wiped some sweat from her brow, not believing that so little usage of her quirk and she was already on the verge of saying goodbye cruel world. Her vision had started to waver far more, and she knew she had to do something quick, or she was out out like a light, also taking in the fact she was barely standing on her feet.
