DARK EDEN: EPILOGUE
The Hero of Eden has descended into madness since his departure to the Demon God’s throne, betraying the people of Eden by forming a blood contract with his archenemy—but not before also deceiving the vile entity into the depths of the frozen lake of Cocytus. After casting a powerful magic spell on the mortal realm to put the world to hibernation, the Hero ventured into the scorching demon realm of Sitra Achra with his trusted guild members, who swore their eternal loyalty to the newly titled Dark Hero of Eden.

After 200 years of remaining idly asleep, the people of Eden woke up from their timeless slumber—only to notice that the vile beasts in the wilderness had become stronger and fiercer, while the gods that once blessed them from the empyreal skies had disappeared from their immaculate cathedra. Those who were once blessed by the celestial entities were now without blessings.

The Dark Age of Solitary had begun, with humanity now facing the vile beasts alone without the aid of their overseers. The Hero was nowhere to be seen, as the Five Great Nations slowly began to crumble on its own weight.

Only for the Dark Hero of Eden to return from his crusade against the demon forces, claiming that he had subdued the Demon Realm and had waged war against the heavens afterwards, in which concluded with the physical bodies of the gods destroyed and their souls implanted into the Astral Armaments, wielded by the Hero himself.

Not interested in wanting to reclaim peace and order, the Dark Hero—without possible rivalries, declared himself the ruler of the Vragathia Empire, a new nation built from the remnants of the Five Great Nations, in an attempt to usurp sovereignty from the royal families and implementing a totalitarian government over the people, and create an unstoppable empire of loyalists.

The only ones who can possibly stop the Dark Hero from corrupting humanity are his former guild members who had been betrayed by the Hero before his departure to the Demon God’s throne and his former lover and fiancé, Yutera Kriemhild.

REALMS & NOTABLE WORLDS
» Eden | The Mortal Realm
Eden is the name of the primary realm where humanity and demi-humans reside. With three continents that make up this mortal plain, the Five Great Nations control the majority of its lands, with the Imperial Providence of Aeslengard reigning as the leading empire.

◈ IMPERIAL PROVIDENCE OF AESLENGARD
The Aeslengard Empire is a nation governed by the royal Kriemhild family, devoted to the God of Justice. Before the Hero's universal magic to cast the world asleep, Aeslengard was the most prevalent nation on Eden, with unrivaled military might and famous guilds, such as the Heroes Guild that was once led by Yutera Kriemhild before her exile. It is currently still active, but suffers from anarchistic riots.

◈ HOLY KINGDOM OF VOLCANIA
The Volcania Kingdom was a theocratic society built under the laws and morals of the Goddess of Wisdom, and boasted an impressive might. It was one of the first nations to had exists since Eden's earliest years, but was stripped from their power during the Hero's return to Eden after his crusade. With its royal family slaughtered, Volcania became a part of history as the majority of its inhabitants found shelter in the Vragathia Empire.

◈ IMPERIUM OF DRACOKAR
The Dracokar Imperium is a nation that worships the God of War, holding the principles of valor and benevolence as their main ideology. They are ruled by the ancient noble dragon race that can shapeshift into demi-humans. They were formerly the most powerful nation on Eden and had existed since the Era of Hercules, and was mainly an antagonistic faction until their change of government and moral values.

◈ SOVEREIGNTY OF VRAGATHIA
The Vragathia Empire serves as the primary nation on Eden after the Hero's return. As a way to manage the rest of humanity after its anarchistic state, the Hero found Vragathia and gathered the Five Great Nations under one banner, with reasons that are unknown to anyone. The Hero was allegedly killed by the Vile Dragon King during their fight, but nothing was ever proven. Vragathia is now ruled by the Ascendancy Guild, who seek to destroy the rest of Sitra Achra and the Qlippoths.

» Exelica | The Celestial Realm of the Gods
Above the Mortal Realm exists the Celestial Realm, where gods and creatures of divine beasts reside in. It was formerly a world where divinity was common and corruption was tenuous, led by the Sanzurian Council who extended their hand to humanity in order to combat their archenemies, the vile beasts. After the Hero's succeeding crusade against the heavens, all gods were destroyed and had their souls sealed away in weapons, turning Exelica into a barren kingdom—forever burning away by the Dark Hero's eternal flames.

» Sitra Achra | The Vile Realm of Corruption
Sitra Achra is the official name of Hell, located directly below the mortal realm and where the dead go to receive their judgment of reincarnation or expunction. However, what guards the realm of the dead are vile beasts that are cruel and barbarous under the influence of the Demon God Astaroth, who wields an agenda to conquer the other two realms. After the failure of his conquest in the hands of the Hero of Eden, the Demon God Astaroth was sealed away via the frozen lake in Cocytus, continuing the vile beast's rampant behavior. It is currently governed by the Dark Hero and his High Lords, the Regalias of Qlippoth.

» Avalon | The Primordial Astral Plains
Avalon is purely dominated by raw mana that manifests into souls and magical spells casted by the entities of Exelica and Eden. The Astral Plains cannot be traveled physically unless one were to protect themselves with a powerful shield of mana, and blessed by the Goddess of Hope with the divine blessing Dragon Soul.

◈ [MINOR LORE] DIVINE BLESSING: DRAGON SOUL
One of the 86 blessings that can be offered to mortals by the gods in Exelica. The Dragon Soul blessing allows one to travel to Avalon without suffering damage to their soul circuits, which are invisible strings that connects oneself to the Astral Plains. Without this blessing, an individual has a high chance of becoming one with the Astral Plains with no chance of ever returning to the mortal realm. The only one who do not require this blessing to enter Avalon is the Hero.

ASTRAL ARMAMENTS
Astral Armaments are items manifested and owned by the name it derived from, the Astral Plain/Avalon. They are the direct products of millions of dead souls whose lifelong wishes had not been granted during their lifetime, forcing their undying dreams to become a part of Avalon, eventually birthing the Astral Armaments.

Despite its name, some are non-lethal items that can support and aid others in their despair. Astral Armaments are not divine weapons as only the mortals can physically wield them, but have no fundamental rules when it comes to who can possess it. However, due to its immense mana usage it is unideal for most without a backed mana source.

» Devanus Irius vin Hercules
Literally translated as "The Four Philosophies of Hercules" by the divine language of Exelica, the Devanus Irius vin Hercules is a series of four weapons formerly wielded by the legendary hero a thousand years ago. These items cannot be handled by anyone except for the Hero, who inherited Hercules' soul.

» The Twelve Insignias of Rebirth
Another series of items related to the great Hercules, the Insignias are items that are manifestations of Hercules' twelve labours. There are twelve Insignias in total with ten mythical beasts that remain loyal to the bearer of the Insignia, and two that are solid items that offer its wielder the ability to incinerate or treat evil. An Insignia bearer cannot lose their item as long as their soul remains attached to their bodies.

» Destiny Forge: Excalibur
Excalibur, more famously known as the Destiny Forge, is an incredibly powerful longsword that was formerly wielded by the Hero before eventually losing it. It is speculated that the Hero lost the sword during the earliest stages of his adolescent journey. It is currently held within one of the "stomachs" of the Vile Serpent Matriarch, though only Yutera Kriemhild knows of this information.

◈ [MINOR LORE] VILE SERPENT MATRIARCH
A powerful venomous beast that was once thought to be a legend and nothing more. It is the strongest of the Vile Serpent family and one of the Five Great Vile Beasts. Defeating it is difficult because it it said to have multiple bodies that are scattered around its main body, with each having its own stomach and personality.

» Final Damocles: Ragnarok
The Final Damocles is a weapon that has no real physical appearance, as the wielder can mold its form however they wish. This Astral Armament has the ability to seal tremendously powerful entities into the item. The Hero used this armament against the gods in Exelica to permanently seal them for the rest of existence, rendering Divine Blessings worthless afterwards. It is currently located within the Citadel of Avalon, to protect it from ever being taken by the dwellers of Eden.
