Realistic or Modern Daring Adventures Against Darkness! (CLOSED)

Ooooh! That could be a super fun dynamic to explore! Very very hype!
LET'S GO!
I've already been planning the intricacies of his metal arm. It's made out of pure tungsten metal or a combination of tungsten and another. I'm going through my notes, and I'm planning on starting him off with a steam-powered generator mechanism. Such as if he's gearing up to throw a straight knockout punch or a haymaker. The arm powers up and helps the propulsion of his fist with steam power. Might rework it as I go along.

Yeah in recent times I’ve strayed more towards one character per roleplay, especially dice based ones, though if it’s the right plot, like I think this one is, I could consider a second character.

I like the back story a lot, and I have some ideas to go with it. Perhaps we can keep the proto Project: Abyss thing, the doctor that turned you into a super soldier having since joined the program, maybe working on more super soldiers. I was also thinking that Avery Steele bought your character from a spy who was selling off your character to whichever side in the war paid enough. Slowly while living with the Steele Foundation, their viewpoint would begin to change. But that’s what I was thinking. Feel free to use as much or as little of this as you want.

Will do.

We already have characters turning against the Germans, so I think a character turning against the Japanese would be perfectly acceptable. As far as powers go, they are completely optional, though I will note that there is no mutant equivalent in this story, so every power will need a back story reason for existing.

I would totally love for the Steele Foundation to have an older character operating alongside all the young folk. The former pro-German turned anti-Nazi soldier is an archetype that I really like, so I’m happy to see one being done for this roleplay. And don’t feel the need to have powers just for powers sake. I want everything to have an in-universe reason.

I like the Fey/Alien character idea a lot. Since this roleplay will draw on both pulp fantasy and sci fi, you could go either way with the character. I think the party could use an outsider type character. As far as powers go, shape shifting would definitely be allowed, though I’m not sure exactly what nature powers entail. I also like the tinkerer character, perhaps she is the tech designer for the Steele Foundation, before ending up as a field agent. Either idea would work, or if you want you could do both, if you do like doubling up that is.

I really like all the brainstorming going on. Like I mentioned yesterday, I’m working on the OOC and characters thread, so expect that some time in the next few days.

So I’m really appreciative of all the interest this has gotten, which is causing me to do two things. Firstly I’m deciding to limit everyone to just one character, and second I am closing this to new applicants. I’m sorry is someone just sees this after I’ve closed it.

Also we have an OOC and Characters tab.

Please head over there and work on a character sheet.
