Dan has been in far share of brawls though he still ain't a great fighter with no formal training. He wouldn't call himslef built but he had run around enough, nature of job, so that he could get around well enough. In terms of fighting he could throw a decent punch but sometimes that isn't enough. The real skill Dan his is intelligence as Dan is able to think on his feet as well as come up with deductions and getting a feeling for it plus he knows it. Johns also not bad with a few 'magic' tricks such as knowing a thing or two about escapology or card tricks. Still I wouldn't hire him for ya birthday party. He also isn't bad with a charm, his cynical nature sometimes winning people over. Sometimes. Sometimes it backfire like a gun pointed the wrong way around.
Magical
Through his blood line and Dan's own study he has some magical abilities. The most basic is that he knows Spell Casting and Channeling. He does know about potion brewing but isn't too much an expert. He mostly knows rune magic maybe cause it means you can write rude things on the floor . Still he has a few more abilities. The first one being elemental control though it only reaches to water and even then he can't like control like a an ocean. The other is astral projection which seems to come from a few years of mixing up with substances . It helps when he needs to think. He also has reading ability which allows Dan to get an idea someone, what they are like, such as are they good, bad.
Weaknesses:
Any sort of physical damage that would kill a human so breaking the neck or blood-loss.
Dan is quiet a honest to fault kind of git which can be used against him.
Like most magic it requires focus so if that is broken.
John is not the most trust worthy man as he has gotten his friends hurt in the past.
Appearance:
Personality: A cynical wizard, Dan Downwhisk is a man of magic and sardonic humor well if you can call it humor. He isn't really what you could cal an introvert or extrovert though if you did put a gun to his head he would go with introvert. He does't really get angry and even when he does he more keeps it to himself. Punching someone in the face doesn't help in the long run. He can also be seen as being rather honest in terms of his work however.
History and Bio: Dan Downwhisk, consulting paranormal investigator. Dan lives in town in an office that probably cost more for rent then it should, as one of few working wizards. Sure he doesn't call himslef that but if you need a wizard you will probably be able to find out about Dan. He sometimes visit the other realms. Mostly for work. Still Dan does do some other things besides work like drink, read and get into trouble. He didn't enjoy the last one but id enough to become a hobbies.
