In a Victorian era world where humans and vampires exist, there are multiple families in the vampire world that use humans as servants. If a human is bitten, they do not become mindless slaves. They become “Chained” to the one who bit them, still retaining their conscious. When becoming “chained” the human will gain access to curses. Curses are magic abilities that have different drawbacks, hence the name “Curses.” If a servant disobeys their master, they will suffer the consequences. Vampires can have multiple servants to serve them. Unfortunately tension is rising in the vampire world to the point where families make their servants do battle against other servants in combat. Which makes them hunt for more humans as a result. As of now these are the most powerful families.
