Background ||
Caleb was born to a loving family with a kind mother and an honorable father. He had a charmed life for the most part. He was gifted at a young age with intelligence and was allowed to skip grades. He taught himself as much as he could and wanted to do so much with his life. He was fluent in 4 languages by 7 years old and could play 3 instruments by 9 years old.

Unfortunately that happiness couldn't last. His mother was diagnosed with lung cancer and his father didn't want her getting treatment as "the Lord would decide what was best for her." Despite growing up in a religious house, Caleb wasn't religious. He begged his parents for treatment to be done. He researched all he could and flung himself into Law and Health books to see if there was something he could do. Eventually he could only have one argument, that God wanted him to tell his parents that treatment was needed and it worked.

His mother got treatment but a year later when he was in class, the teachers came by and told him to get his stuff and go to the hospital. The cancer had spread and it was too late to do anything. The treatment hadn't worked and his mother probably only had a few days left to live. He stayed with her those days. They talked about everything and anything. She said he'd always be her baby boy and a few hours later she passed away willingly.

On her death bed she asked her son to follow his dreams and to do so he was going to a prestigious arts academy. After the funeral he was whisked off to the academy. He wouldn't leave until he was sure that this would work and he'd be able to have a stable life with music as his job.

Reason || He always loved music, even as a little kid. When his mother died, her will stated that the money she owned would go towards her son getting a musical education. His father approved as he wanted his son to be as happy as he could possibly be.

Background

History || Jae is an only child and comes from a very wealthy family. As a result, she has usually always gotten anything she ever wanted or needed. She's a little spoilt and used to getting her way, but she's not unreasonable and she's willing to earn the things she is given through hard work. She desires nothing more than to be independent and to rely on no one but herself. She knows that people judge her for her wealthy background and is determined to prove them wrong.

Jae-eun's parents have never been very present in her life. They each run their own business and spend most of their time working. As a result, she was mostly left to her own devices. It was a little lonely, especially considering she had no siblings. Sometimes she finds other people difficult to deal with as a result of her isolated childhood, but she's making an effort to be more present and she's happy to find that she's made some true friends at Chugye Academy.

When she decided to pursue music, Jae's parents weren't so sold on the idea. They didn't believe that she wouldn't be able to make a career out of it and they were concerned by how much of her life she intended to spend on something they considered a hobbie. They've reluctantly agreed to support her providing she's successful, but if things fall through they want her to focus her attention on one day taking over her mother's business.

Reason || Jae-eun starting taking piano lessons when she was seven. In the beginning she hated it, as she did all her lessons, but as she grew, so did her love for the instrument and for music in general. It was her piano instructor that complimented her singing voice and encouraged her to pursue music when she was older.

Other || Jae-eun began ballet lessons when she was nine and continued with them until she was twelve, at which point her interests in the music world lead her to other styles of dancing. She attended an assortment of classes and workshops but only ever danced as a hobbie. At least until she joined Aurora.

Jae is has a mild obsession with cats and kitty related merchandise.

❀ When you first meet Yena, she might not appear particularly outgoing or sociable. She might even come off as intimidating because of her case of resting bitch face. An extremely introverted character, Yena isn't one to make the first move in any relationship, and instead waits for others to talk to her first, but at times, that can make her seem a little bit like a push over.

❀ However, once you do get to know Park Yena, she's a friendly and bright sort of person. Not one to get down over much of anything, her basic belief is very much a "give no fucks" approach. If it happens, it happens, and there's not much of a point in worrying or regretting or wallowing in self pity about it. Her stance is that emotions aren't going to change anything about the situation. Honest almost to a fault, Yena isn't scared to speak her mind, even if others might not care for it. Within the art of emotional subtlety, Yena is as clueless as an elephant. But because of her honesty as well, the young woman tends to trust easily since her train of thought is relatively on the more naive side.

❀ Due to the nature of her personality, Yena is fiercely independent and doesn't ever want to rely on others for things she should be able to do for herself. Beyond that, the female despises pity. Pity for herself, pity for others, and the pity of others.

❀ Yena still wishes to pursue her dreams of becoming an idol, and with her headstrong personality, there isn't anyone she'll let stop her from achieving that dream.

❀ As headstrong and hard-ass as she may sound, Yena is on the more soft-spoken side and prefers to stick to herself and with a small group of tight knit friends than a massive one. Deathly loyal to her loved ones, there is nothing she wouldn't do to stop them from hurting, even if it means withholding her own issues and bundling them up inside of her. Perhaps from her inability to sense emotions, Yena isn't that great at expressing them either, and the crushing and storing of emotions within her being can lead to explosive outbursts.

❀ Yena is very much an average sort of gal, and like any other young female, does enjoy hanging out with her friends and family. From both the outside and in, she is carefree or happy go lucky, and rather than moping around, would rather laugh, which she does quite frequently. More times than not, her friends will tease her about how much she does laugh.
