Fears: Failure. Kataly'a is afraid to disappoint her parents and her entire species. Being the crown princess there is a whole world on her shoulders, her entire life she has learned how to take care of her people and never been allowed to make selfish decisions. Her race is already dwindling, and her failure could lead to the end of their race or the destruction of their home planet.

Relying on others: Where Kat is from, depending on someone else is a sign of weakness, and the weak do no last long on Tamaran.

Adjusting to Earth: Tamaran is a warrior planet, war and violence are expected. On her home planet, it is kill or be killed. The Earthlings are much more peaceful and she isn't sure that she can fit in with them.

Kataly'a is a lot to handle. The lifestyle her mother taught her means that her first instinct is to be fierce and violent, to strike down any potential threats before they even have the chance to challenge her. However, Earth has made Kataly'a more curious and friendly, though she still finds it hard to fit in. She wants to fit in with the humans and be a normal teenage girl, but the culture she grew up in forced her to be strong and brutal, she hasn't quite let go of the way she was raised yet. Upon first meeting someone new she is very defensive and suspicious, ready for a fight at any moment. Once she becomes comfortable Kat is like a child, full of life and curiosity about the world around her. When she's able to relax, she's happy and fun-loving, but she is much too serious for her own good most of the time. The Tamaraneans are a passionate people driven more by emotion than reason, and Kataly'a often lets her emotions get the best of her.

From birth Kataly'a was made to be a weapon, training to fight from the moment she could walk and learning war tactics and the ins and outs of intergalactic politics. Her life was far from normal, even for an alien. The Tamaraneans were fierce warriors, even before her ruthless mother took over, she had to be strong because there was no other option and as their future queen she needed to be the strongest of them all. Weakness was never an option for the young girl, so Kataly'a has never let anyone close enough to rely on them. Even Kat isn't sure who the real her is, the girl without the crown is a mystery to everyone, including herself.

Despite all of the violence surrounding her, Kataly'a is loyal to her people to no end and rather compassionate. She is a great asset to have on your side but having her as your enemy is your worst nightmare. There is nothing that Kat wouldn't do to protect her people and those she cares about. To Earthlings she is rather friendly and curious, but her affinity for violence often makes it hard to make friends. Her first instinct is to be the ruthless killer she was raised to be, but Earth is bringing out a softer side of her and she is learning to be more human.

Extraterrestrial Strength: Being a Tamaranean, Kataly'a is stronger, faster, and more durable than a human.

Flight: By feeling unbridled joy, Kataly'a can achieve wingless flight under her own willpower faster than light itself. In space, she can travel at nearly light speed, and her superhuman strength is not diminished when airborne.

Hand to hand combat: One of the first things Kataly'a learned was how to fight. She has learned many different styles of fighting from across the galaxy, making her lethal even without her powers.

Tamaranean Physiology: Kataly'a's superpowers are native to her extraterrestrial species of the Tamaraeans. Though outwardly humanoid in appearance, she has several biological differences, like having nine stomachs and very pale orange skin. All of her abilities are tied to her emotional state, and generally can only be triggered when a specific emotion is focused on; because of this, her powers can be weakened or compromised when she is in emotional turmoil.
- Ultraviolet Energy Projection: Kataly'a can project incredibly powerful bright purple-colored energy from her hands, activated by righteous fury. Her energy attacks produce both thermal energy and highly explosive results on contact. She can augment the effectiveness of her punches by surrounding her hands in energy, and she can also use this method to weld or carefully burn through obstacles with contact from her hands.
  - Star bolts: Kat mainly discharges circular bolts of pure radioactive energy, which are usually launched as thrown circular projectiles.
    - Star bolt Shields: She can erect a strong defensive energy barrier and force-field around herself
    - Laser-Eye Beams: The ability to emit beams of her bright purple energy from her eyes. Though not as powerful as her regular star bolts, these beams can be fired continuously in a steady stream, are more precise in direction, and also give her the element of surprise for when her hands are restrained.

Biography
Many lightyears away from Earth resides the warrior planet of Tamaran. Or, at least, it used to. With Starfire on Earth helping the Titans, Princess Komand'r took her birth right as Queen of Tamaran. The Tamaraneans have been raging war with anyone who dared cross them for thousands of years, but one of their most vile enemies was the Psions. Princess Kataly'a was born amidst the war, the daughter of Queen Komand'r and the general of the Tamaranean army, Vril'aa. Kataly'a had barely reached the age of three before Tamaran was destroyed by the Psions, though she was able to make it off world with her parents before the planet imploded.

Queen Komand'r took the remains of her people and her home world and tried to rebuild their former glory as a warrior nation on the moon of Jalascis, free from the CItadel for the time being. Being the heir to the throne, the young princess had a ton of pressure put on her from the moment she was born. It was never an option for her to fail, she had to be the best, the strongest, the smartest. There was never time to rest for the young girl, if she wasn't training in combat she was learning her other royal duties, such as foreign diplomacy. Because of all the weight on her shoulders, Kataly'a is very hard on herself and often lashes out in anger.

When Kataly'a was sixteen her mother campaigned yet another war that resulted in her father's death. Blackfire raged war even more ruthlessly against the CItadel, determined to get revenge even if it killed them. Though she had been raised in the same warrior mindset as all Tamaraneans, Kataly'a resented her mother's decision and worried that her mother's short-sightedness would get their entire species killed. At the age of sixteen she officially joined her mother's army and used to training she'd been given all her life to fight in yet another of Tamaran's brutal wars.

Eventually, Starfire returned to her homeplanet and was horrified to see the state Komand'r had lead it to. As the war took a turn for the worst, Starfire took her niece back to Earth with her to shelter her from the impending doom of her planet and the bloody lifestyle her mother had raised her in. While Kataly'a deeply missed her mother and her homeplanet, she yearned for a lifestyle without the constant violence of her home and enjoyed the company of her always happy aunt

PERSONALITY.
The easiest way one would describe Jude is intense. Hard to look at without squinting, a fire ready to burn out of control, someone who makes you flinch. She's got anger issues, but that doesn't mean she isn't focused and capable of doing what needs to be done. She's just a bit flighty, cocky, and likes hanging with the ne'er-do-wells of life far too much. Her life had been "Jude v.s. the World" for so long, the girl is a brick wall and hard to get along with. Truthfully though, she'd rather do more good. Maybe as a way to repent for the wrongs she's done in her life. The girl has always been a punk little shit though, her identity connecting deeply with the punk rock scene she discovered once moving to America. Maybe it's themes of anger and radicalism have only egged her on. She's the kind of gal that starts and finishes fights, and will be damned if anybody ever gets in her way.

Jude is half-Cherufe, an "evil man-eating" creature said to be made of rock and magma, who inhabit magma pools in the volcanoes of Chile, and are the supposed cause of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. Rumor has it, the Cherufe's appetite for flesh was only satisfied by a virginal human sacrifice, thrown into the depths of their volcanoes, and some ideas described them as reptilian humanoids. In reality, Jude was created, or "birthed", in a volcano, deep in the magma of her mother's country, but not really man-eating or the cause of earthquakes. Jude is most definitely humanoid, but blurs the edges on being able to pass as a human. Her core is fire and lava, and gives her the power to create and control fire at will. It manifests both outwardly from her body (such as a flame in her hand, breathing out fire, etc.), and also physically in her appearance when in full use. It doesn't happen every time, but a notable feat is Jude's hair appearing to be on fire, and her skin is constantly almost searing hot to the touch. Jude's appearance can veer into uncanny valley territory; while her normal appearance seems human, she can shift into a magma rock-like form. Her skin hardens and develops cracks, the rocks prominent, the magma inside can begin to pour out if she lets it, and it's one hell of an otherworldly look.

EQUIPMENT + WEAPONS.
None yet, aside from her heat proof suit.

STRENGTHS.
Jude's abilities give her many strengths; she's a force to be reckoned with. Aside from being able to create fire at will, she's able to regulate her bodily temperature, and withstand extremely hot temperatures as well. Shifting into her "magma rock form" makes her a tough enemy to fight as well; while she's not impenetrable, hitting her is like hitting a rock. Solid, unmovable, and hard to break.

WEAKNESSES.
Jude is really susceptible to the cold, despite her tough thick exterior. If her body's temperature drops too low, she exhales smoke and soot like a chimney. If you throw her into cold water, she'll fizzle out and could actually die from being too cold. That's her biggest weak point. Aside from that, Jude is heavy and not particularly fast or light on her feet. Using her abilities also eats at her energy as well, and being physically or emotionally tired can really throw her powers in flux, or weaken them greatly.
HERO CHILD, SIDEKICK, OR REFORMED VILLAIN?
A reformed villain. Jude, at her core, wants to be a better person. Turning her wants into true change, however, has proven difficult.

HISTORY.
A product of mother nature, Jude was likely the first of her kind. A halfling, unheard of by her people, the woman she considered her mother was the one who dragged her out of the molten lava, in the boiling depths of the volcanoes of Chile. Carved by the gods out of volcanic rock and magma, the ash and fire turned to strands of thick hair eventually, and the jagged rock was shaped into brown skin, and thus became Jude. Her mother named her Juandalynn, but when she had gone to live her life with her father in America, the frustration of people not learning to pronounce her name birthed her preferred name, Jude.

The story of her parents was as such; a Cuban volcanologist, photographing and studying volcanic activity in Chile, happened to stumble upon and photograph local cherufes. The man was fascinated by the creatures who would very rarely pull themselves out of the magma pools and volcanoes, unsure of what he was seeing, and was approached by Jude's mother. The two were enamored by each other, a kind of naïve and infatuated love, and when Jude was birthed from the lava, her father made frequent trips out to Chile to visit the two. Eventually, though, the unfortunate romance between her parents was cut off, as her father's visits to the tiny region where her mother lived were a subject of interest to the locals. Her mother was hunted and killed when Jude was around nine years old. And so, her father took her with him, and Jude continued the rest of her life in America.

While her father was Cuban, because of his scientific work, he lived and raised Jude in varying cities across the US. Jude was unable to live in colder weather conditions, unfortunately. At first, they had gone to the east coast, but the winters left Jude exhaling pillars of smoke and soot as her fiery core smoldered out slowly, and it was harder and harder to find her a warm place to live. After a year and a half of frustration, culture shock and Jude's stubbornness to change, they subsequently moved out more west. They tried living in California, upon the west coast, but Jude couldn't enjoy the beaches and too-perfect weather. Being so close to water at all times scared her. Eventually, they landed in a sun-bleached desert town in the boons of Arizona. Jude's childhood was somewhat rough - she had the appearance of a young teenager, but had to go through the trouble of learning as much as she could of information from pre-k to high school. English came somewhat easy, growing up in an English speaking environment, but Jude's Spanish is extremely fluent.

The girl faced identity issues for much of her youth in America, not only with the knowledge of being so inherently different, but because Americans made everything so damn complicated. She considers herself half-Chilean and half-Cuban purely because of her parents. She also faces problems with anxiety and paranoia, caused after witnessing the death of her mother. The deep-seated issues of fear because of her mom manifested into anger issues, and so Jude struggled a lot as she managed through a couple of years of American middle and high school. Being a cherufe didn't make her life any easier either. Emotional flare-ups came with burnt school desks, piles of ash that were once homework and notes, and on one awful occasion, the west wing of a school being reduced to blackened soot. Teenage angst mixed with fire equaled a sucky youth.

Jude's relationship with her father was strained, but not entirely unhealthy. He had always been caring and protective, but she could see how she wore him down over the years. Raising a kid wasn't easy, but raising what was essentially a fiery lava entity in the form of a teenage girl was something else entirely. At first, Jude had blamed him for her mom's death, but his love and genuine care for her soon changed her thoughts on the subject. She was somehow both very dependent on him, and completely independent and wanted to be her own person. Without him, Jude would have either stayed to live in the magma pools with the rest of her kind, and eventually been hunted. But, she wanted to be her own person and didn't like the idea of relying on one person so much in her life. Because of this, Jude went through her "emo" phase, and that eventually turned into the grunge-y hybrid that she is now. Her father kept them afloat through teaching; he had abandoned his career as a volcanologist, and instead taught college classes about environmental science and similar subjects.

When her father died was when Jude felt true devastation for the second time in her life. She felt as if she was withering, the fire inside being stamped and smoldered out, anger and anguish being exhaled along with soot as she sat crying in her burning home. When Jude came to, she laid under blackened wooden beams and debris, calm and burnt out. She knew she had to return home. By the time the firefighters got to the house, she had used whatever money her father left for her to book a flight to South America. Despair boiled in her gut as the girl made the trek into the mountains for the first time in decades. Jude thought of her mother, and every barefoot step left the ground charred. When she reached the summit of the volcano, her clothes slowly flittered away into ash from the pure heat, and she flung herself into the mouth of the Earth. The heat was comforting, and her kind greeted her eagerly, but Jude truly felt lost in that moment. When she surfaced from a magma pool, she decided to live her life without needing anybody else.

Despite the frigid winters, Jude moved to New York City, an enormous city with plenty to offer a girl of her talents. Jude was always a street kid, knew how to fight and claw her way up and protect herself. She didn't need anybody else, didn't want pity or help. Her powers were crucial to letting her live life to her fullest, and for a good couple of years, Jude was regarded as a small-time villain. News reports would show security footage of a girl on fire, robbing stores or random civilians, taking whatever she wanted without thinking twice. It was easy to intimidate folks, and even easier to hurt them. She was a fire burning out of control, angry and powerful. As she got older, she only got stronger. Jude didn't stop to truly think about what she had done until she burned down an entire apartment building. It had been an accident, the girl hadn't realized the curtains had caught fire as she beat a dealer in his own home for trying to lie to her. Thankfully, there hadn't been too many folks hurt. They had all evacuated as soon as they could, but still. Three people died. She had never killed anybody before, and vowed to try and never kill anybody again. The guilt was late, but it was there, and Jude has tried to change her path since then.

PERSONALITY.
All in all, Mikey is a boy with a big heart of gold. Most of his life was spent in isolation, which means his social skills are nearly zero, yet he knows now what he wants to do in this big ol' world, and there's little someone can do to deter him from it. He's extremely kind and empathetic, but definitely has a self sacrificial streak, letting himself take on other people's pains and lamentations in order to ease their burdens with little regard for himself and his own health. He's naïve, but not stupid; so many years spent in bed meant reading whatever he could get his hands on, whatever could occupy his attention, and so Mikey's a bit of a nerd. While he is wholly unprepared for adult life, and even more so for the life of a superhero, Mikey will try his damned best to help others.

After a freak accident (elaborate later), Mikey soon realized that his body was able to heal at an abnormally fast rate. Bloody noses would fix themselves in minutes, broken bones within the hour, and injuries that could kill others would simply incapacitate him for half a day or less. He's nearly invincible; sure, Mikey can die, but it'll be damn hard to get the job done. With skin-to-skin contact, Mikey is also able to heal others as well. The price of this action, however, is taking on that injury for himself. He literally must get hurt in order to help others, but Mikey gladly does it without a second thought. He has not tested his abilities on individuals with severe or terminal illnesses, such as cancer, and is actually a bit scared to see what would happen.

Lori is a big ball of wonderful energy, or so she'd like to describe it. Very much a cheerleader in the sense of positivity. She is the definition of 'fake it til you make it!' and will preach this to anyone with a sour look on their face. While she knows how to be a model citizen, very much on the turn of a hat does she revert back to the more neutral and wild person she was before Lady Librty was a thing.

Before being bestowed her powers, Lori was sorority sister and the realest person you'd ever meet. She knows loyalty well, observing that bonds made between friends are stronger than that of family, and isn't one to change her tune in the face of any resistance. Bending the rules is no longer her cup of tea, with far more responsibility on the line to uphold these rules. Bending others to her rule, however, is something she will happily do. If it means perking her chest, putting on some cherry lipstick and smiling at whoever needs to be charmed, so be it.

She grew up a tomboy, and the more rough part of her still maintains. Words are worth a lot, but Lori values actions over it. She's also more likely to think with her hands and body, not quite impulsive but definitely on the verge of hotheadedness. Once upset or on the trail of something, it is near impossible to persuade her otherwise. Losing reputation and face is perhaps the only thing to kick her out of her selfish self interests, and it is where she'll be the most altruistic.

Lori is an extrovert her enjoys the odd night in, curled up with some romance novel and a glass of wine. You could call her basic, and you'd probably be right, but she'd be more than likely to show you the bottom of her boot (or Louboutin, depending on if she's in costume or not). She loves seeing people, being with people, and ideally being youthful. She has to turn that part off, but can be quite the flirt and a bold character in the sea of 'bland faces'. All of it is a farce, however, so if you see through that and you get her pouting you're more than likely to see a fist in due time.

The fame has gone to her head (only a little bit), and she's more than likely to assume you know her than assume you don't. She passed that border a long time ago, and now actively regales in her fame. She isn't bigheaded enough to assume everyone is a fan however, and as much as she hates people assuming about her, she hates to assume of other people what their feelings are. If she can persuade them later, however... that works just fine!

Knowing very well the type of person she may be chalked up to be due to her association, she wishes to maintain her own normalcy while being this superhero persona (that is slowly taking over her old self, with no division between the personas, really). Ideally Lori would like to keep the title of Lady Liberty, and all the rights and privileges that come with being Lady Liberty. She'd be quite comfy for life at this rate, especially with press coverage. Being a global hero would be great too.

On the off chance that things don't work out (a thought that Lori doesn't like to entertain too often), she'd love to continue to use her impression for 'good'. Applying her mind to it, she knows how to weaponize power and prestige. She'd love to be a manager, or to manage herself as a model and activist.

Lori is superhuman similar in ability to Supergirl, though noticeably different: she is capable of super strength and other human agility traits, flight, and force-field manipulation.

Strengths: super strength, super agility and general super aptitude. Nothing unstoppable, but easily strengthened by Lori's own training and willingness. Her ability to fly is connected to her ability to control forcefields, sort of manipulating the matter around her to propel herself. It is invisible, except when something is hitting or trying to penetrate the field. The forcefields are great for shield use, and she can host one other person under her shield. She can envelope herself in this shield, which acts as a second skin to repel outward attacks.

Weaknesses: along with super strength and being superhuman, Lori has a super appetite. Not eating or being unhealthy impacts her abilities, so she has to maintain a very clean and balanced diet. No alcohol, as that impedes her power abilities and makes them reckless. Lori's forcefields cannot expand more than her wingspan currently, and she's quite small... so there is room to grow, (but not literally). Lori's also quite cocky, which can unfortunately cause her to lose energy faster with her abilities, by showing off or putting in extra effort and energy for a simple task.

He has this idea of always looking at the bright side of things, he is always full of energy and he shows it with his actions and talking, and his smile almost never fades away, even at the hardest times. His tone of voice is always friendly combined with his slightly low-pitched voice gives him a smooth way of talking. He is always looking to help others, and will always lend a hand to those in need. If he gets an idea in his head, he is making sure it turns into a reality. No matter how difficult something is. He will make sure to go through it. He cares for everyone, but he has a special type of care when it comes to the people he is close to, always making sure they are doing good above everything else. Speed Force Conduit: As Speed Force Conduit, Sebastian gains the abilities and weakness speedsters.

Speed Force conduits have one main ability above all else. These characters immediately understand how to run at superhuman speeds and their bodies instinctively understand how to react at high-speed situations. Speedsters unaccustomed to their max level of speeds may detach themselves from the Speed Force or even become part of the Speed Force by accident. Speedsters commonly use their speed to manipulate and control airflow and vibrate their bodies to intangibility and phase. Due to the Speed Force's connection to the timestream, speedsters can use it as a gateway to travel through time and dimensions by exceeding the speed of light.

Speedsters also possess superhuman physical characteristics, such as heightened stamina, agility, healing, senses, sometimes strength, and increased mental capacity. The Speed Force also manifests a protective aura around speedsters that protects them from the harsh effects of moving at super speeds, greatly heightening their durability.

Speedsters' mental capacities are enhanced to the extent that they can think exponentially faster than any ordinary human.

Speed Force conduits bodies emit Speed Force energy that manifests itself as electricity. This Speed Force lightning varies in color from the blue shift aka Red being the slowest and Indigo being the fastest. Lightning's properties are similar to common electricity, as it reacts magnetically to metals and can electrocute people on contact.

He has two suits:

Suit: Sebastian suit is a rework of Zoom’s suit. Giving it a more modern approach with the Mechanical parts standing out of the suit includes the lower part of the mask can be open and closed freely. The logo in the center of the suit is now powered up by Seb's lightning color. The primary color was still black and the rest a scale of green. Made of a reinforced tri-polymer, making it resistant to several thousand degrees of intense heat, whether it be around Sebastian or the friction generated from his body while running, and resistant to grazing bullets, small knives, abrasions, or scars. It can also store part of the electricity Sebastian generates to keep the suit operational even when not being worn.

Strengths

He has superhuman speed and superhuman reaction speed equal to his speed. He also has a high resistance thanks to the speed force protective aura. His lightning and the ability to control the airflow using his speed give him a great variety of attacks from mid-to close combat. Let alone his accelerated healing. The Flash also trained him to fight in close combat. Giving him a few tricks on how to use the speed in his favor in a fight. His overall powers help him be a good hitter and frontline. As well as to support his team if needed.

Weaknesse

Cold abilities can easily slow him down for brief moments depending on how cold. Like any other speedster if Seb moves to an unaccustomed max level of speeds he may detach himself from the Speed Force or even become part of the Speed Force by accident. He is not all-knowing, meaning if someone uses stealth to attack him, he will be put at a disadvantage. He also can’t attack beings that have no physical body. Mental abilities will have a good effect as far as he is not thinking fast enough so the attacker can't keep up with his mind.

Childhood

Born on the 3rd of October, in Guatemala, Named Sebastian Gomez Riggs, son of Alejandro Gomez and Linda Riggs. Sadly his mother died soon after giving birth. His father never blamed Sebastian as the reason for her demise. On the contrary. He felt joy for him to be alive. Sebastian grew to become a healthy kid, of below-average height. Fast and Nimble. He lived with his father, his father worked hard to keep the food on the table. His early memories are of him spending time with his father. Exactly when he introduces little Sebastian to the world of the heroes. All of these people had special abilities which were beyond human.

Sebastian always admired heroes. As a kid who didn’t. He hoped that one day, he would be able to work alongside them. To make the world safer for both his family and the rest of the world. His father was a big batman and superman fan, he liked both ends of the spectrum in the hero verse. He always said: “Superman es el día más brillante para nosotros, mientras que batman es la noche más oscura para los villanos.” Superman is the brightest day for the people, while Batman is the darkest night for the villains. He thought they balanced each other. But Sebastian already had chosen his favorite one. The scarlet speedster, Flash. His father even though he wasn’t in his top 3, still bought stuff for his son. He got him a flash t-shirt, some action figures, even comics and magazines about the flash, telling the stories of the scarlet speedster.

But either by Destiny or faith, the people around him seemed to have grim destinies. His father fell ill. Because of the nature of the illness, his family had to move to the United States. He changed schools, friends. As his father was hospitalized while he was left with his maternal grandmother. Who took care of him. He saw his father fight and struggle every day after class. Seb gave his favorite flash action figure to his dad, telling him that he would keep him safe. After class Seb would tell him about his day. What he learned, pranks, and funny things his classmates did. But he saw how his father lost his hair, his skin became pale as snow, but one thing never faded away from him, smile. It didn’t matter how grim or how painful the day was. His father always had a smile for him. Several years passed, he was around 10 years old. Suddenly his grandma told him they were gonna stay with his father at the hospital for a couple of days. The happiest days he can remember. He had never seen his father smile so bright. Even before everything. Seb smiled. They spent days playing board games, telling stories, Sebastian even played scenarios to his dad about his father’s favorite superheroes. Eventually, the days passed.

On the last day, before he went back home. His father hugged him, even when his skin felt cold, the hug felt warm. He hugged back. It felt like the world stopped. As if time itself had stopped. He felt something fall into his shirt. It felt warm and wet. After the hug, he saw the smile and the watery eyes of his father. Seb smiled back to him saying: “No te preocupes papá, te prometo seguir viniendo a visitarte después de la escuela!” Don’t worry dad, I promise to keep coming after school.

After school that day. His grandma arrived and he got in the car. As soon as he could, he put on the belt and looked to his left. There it was, his action figure. He took it in his hands as he looked confused to his grandma. “But who is protecting my dad?” He asked with confusion in his voice. His grandma simply remained silent for the rest of the trip. He noticed how the car didn’t go to the hospital but instead to home. “Can we go to the living room for a minute?” The older woman said. As she opens the door to the house. He agreed and followed. Then his grandma. Using all the tact she could, explain to Seb that his dad died. Days passed, the funeral took place, many people came, his friends, some coworkers, even a person who he didn’t get to meet before. His dad was a renowned engineer so he just assumed he was another person in the crowd. But somehow he stood out from the crowd. After this, a card was given to him by the same stranger. It was a card from his father, he waited to read it when he was alone in his room.

Adolecence

His adolescence wasn’t so rough, honestly might have been one of the best times of his life. After the letter from his father, he grew to have a good moral compass. He will take hits and even beatdowns for others to have a chance to escape. Some other times he will act as a distraction to make the bullies leave his classmates alone. Sometimes outrunning them and others having to take the matter with his fist. Though the last ones didn’t end well for him. As he was mostly outnumbered by the number of teens on the opposite team. He was known as the defender in his class. But a troublemaker in the principal's office. Even when the principal was a friend of his father. The only reason he wasn’t expelled was because of all the students who came to his aid. Telling him what he did to keep them safe.

Throughout most of his teenage life, Sebastian had a pretty normal and good time. Yea getting chased or beaten down sometimes both, wasn’t fun but having a smile even after the beatdown or after a chase because you help someone else. Now that was enough reward for him. He knew his parents would look at him and feel proud for what he's been doing. He had a pretty normal teenager life for most of it, till he hit 16. When the speed force storm took place, he was visiting the central city on a school trip. He and a couple of other students decided to escape for the night in Central city. Hoping to see the scarlet speedster or any other hero that worked around the city. But they found a completely different thing, the storm started, chaos, they all run for shelter when it began. While his 4 other classmates were able to find shelter. Just as he was about to get in he was struck by red lightning. Boom. He fell to the ground.

They helped him get into the shelter but right as they put him on the ground. Zap. The two classmates got shocked as if static electricity had come out of Seb. He was half-conscious when suddenly a spurt of energy came to him. Instantly waking him up. His eyes open in an instant. While a rush of what only could be explained as adrenaline came to him, making him feel… alive. More than he ever did before. His friends were concerned

“Are you alright?”

Asked the first one, but Seb stood up and moved his left arm up and down hard to see if he felt anything, then the other one.

“I'm alright. Never felt better. Maybe I need to get hit by lightning more often.” He joked once everything calmed down.

They went back to the hotel where they were greeted by the principal and a scold. He then took Sebastian aside, away from everyone to ask how he was. He told him he felt great. But he had to explain that he got hit by lightning from the storm. The director took him to a hospital just to be sure everything was alright, luckily for him. Everything was in order. Except for some heart tests which came out as errors. Without really any reason to keep them there. He and the director went back with the group. They decided to head back and take the trip another time, not wanting to risk the teenagers’ life.

Once back home, Seb was laid off for a couple of days just to make sure he was alright before going back to school. He got home really tired, so he greeted his grandma and went directly to his room to sleep. The next morning. He woke oddly early for a day off. He took off his clothes which smelled like burned coal. Put it in the laundry basket. Just as he did he passed through the mirror. He noticed… changes. Surprised. He looked at the mirror and touched around his now muscular arms and torso. Almost in awe and well, confusion.

“Maybe I should be hit by lightning more often.”

He joked as he felt full of energy. The doc advised him not to do anything that would put his body under stress, but he couldn’t help himself and decided to take a run outside. Once he changed and warmed up. He started running, he was a couple of feet into the run. Suddenly red lightning came out of him and he rushed forward. He stopped on his track, almost falling to the ground before looking behind him. He was literally in the forest. Miles away from his house. He looked around in complete confusion. “Uuuuuh…” At this very moment. The Hero named Adrenaline (Redbooster at the time because of his lightning) was born. Once this strange phenomenon happened. Seb, being young and naive, decided to fight crime in his city. Meanwhile, The Flash had to deal with new speedsters back in Central city. Sebastian took care of the minor and moderate crimes in his city. As he tried to learn more about his powers. This didn’t end well. Mainly because of how impulsive and persistent nature made him sustain many injuries. He used the school as a good way to inform himself about how to maximize the use of his newfound powers as well as using these to get better grades.

Weeks passed. Barry Allen, The Flash at the time, found Sebastian. He offered to train him back in the central city. Sebastian was amazed and full of excitement for meeting his all-time hero. But he countered by challenging him to a race. If Seb wins, Flash will come to this city to train him. While Flash wins, he would go with him to Central city to train with him. They both agreed. Sebastian was excited to see if he would be faster than his hero. He lost, mainly because his attune to the speed force was still relatively new. He didn’t even know about it. With the help of Flash and the director, who agreed to help because it was The Flash and Seb’s father (The director's best friend) had a good history with Flash. Because they offered a college scholarship. So he said to his grandma. Promise her to visit once or twice a week, which he did.

Current Time

Sebastian spends more than 3 years training with Barry Allen and Wally West. He learns almost everything he knows thanks to both of them. The ways to use his abilities, Speedforce, and what it meant to be Flash.

Sebastian moved to Central city, got into a school close to the base of operations. He lives like a normal teenager through school time. In his free time, he is the hero known as Redboost. He trained under the wing of the second-fastest man alive Barry Allen. Getting the ropes around the speed force and how to use his powers correctly. At the start of his first year of training, he had little to no action. As Barry wanted him to get a hold of his speed before getting to fight even other speedsters that were clearly faster than him. Seb still put all of his mind and heart into the training. After 3 months he started going out on missions with Flash. Getting to try and use the new creative ways to use his abilities. Doing it with his idol was more than amazing. Throughout this year. They both became pretty close. Almost having a father-son relationship. Which was surprising because of what happened in the past.

Sebastian now has the training and a small portion of the experience. The most interesting part of this year was probably getting to know most of the Flash family. He even got to know the fastest man alive. Wally West. He was even more excited, Seb had always been a big fan of every Flash, and now getting to know them both, it was like a dream come true. At the end of the year, Seb was actually sent to train with Wally, as the sidekick of The current Flash.

Second-year (18 y.o):
In the second year, Sebastian learns to fight in coordination with someone as stubborn as Bart. They were both equally stubborn, which lead to a rocky start. In this time Seb was able to tap into more of his potential. His lightning changed color, now being yellow. He took on the mantle of Kid Flash. He wasn’t allowed to change the original suit. Luckily. He already was working on a new one. A couple of weeks in and he had a new one that covered his face. Now at this point, both Bart and Seb had warmed up to each other. Even to being friends.

This year was one of the hardest. Because he lost the last light of his family. Grandma. She had died, but not from a natural cause. She decided to visit Seb in Central city. Seb had to go back for some time to make sure she was alright. But the city was attacked and Seb took his grandma to a safe space, using his superspeed. He showed her his true identity and told her he needed to go and help. She tried to stop him but failed. She then told him to be careful. Once she did, he ran out. He got an encounter with the speedster known as The Rival. Seb met him when Rival pushed Seb into a wall. Rival was way faster than Seb, by a mile. He told him to catch him if he could, as he ran away. Seb ran behind him. It was obvious that he was trying to lead him away from something. Once he reached him. He simply said. “Too late.” Once he said this a transmission came through his helmet. “We need reinforcements in the east safe zone.” Seb knocked out Rival and alerted Barry about it before running back to the shelter.

It was starting to go out in flames, and debris started to fall. Something exploded. He made his way inside, he helped find an exit and to move everyone out. He noticed his grandma missing. So he goes back in. Determined to save her. After having to phase even when he wasn’t so good at it and some burns and debris. He finds her. Full of burns and bleeding. He takes her out and ran to a hospital. Once there the doctors said she wouldn’t make it. He thanked the doctors before asking for some privacy. Once they did, Seb took off his mask. And there, in between tears, Seb said his final goodbyes to his grandma.

After the incident, Seb went back with Bart and started to work harder. To the point that he was constantly on the running track every single day at least 8 hours there. Plus missions. He was devastated, he couldn’t let out his emotions. So he did what he knows what to do, he ran. Trying to stay away from his grief. This exact thing is something he hasn’t stop doing. Running to keep his mind distracted, that's the real reason he hates staying still for too long. Because he fears that his bad emotions catch up to him at some point. He continues his year. Fighting alongside Bart. They end up being as close as brothers. They were brothers of speed after all. Bart is faster of course.

Third-year (Present 19 y-o):
The beginning of the journey as Adrenaline, this is the current year. After some training, Sebastian was able to get closer to Bart, while Bart’s lightning is white. Seb’s lightning turn green with the help of the intensive training and countless missions with Bart. He was right now faster than Barry but he still had a long path to run. But this came with a cost. His personal life would have completely disappear if it wasn’t for Bart having Seb go and find some friends so he wouldn’t be alone. In this exact year Seb is starting college he promised some friends to keep in contact. While some were going to the same college as him. He is right now, back at Central city spending time with Barry and the Flash family, after all, they are the only family he has left. They were all excited about him going to college, they even threw a small party. They even gave him the reworked zoom's suit with a note. "Made with hope".

For the first time. Seb experience what it was to be part of a normal family. He smile as he enjoy the party. Some time later while Seb was helping cleaning the house. Barry told him that he needed to speak with him. They had the talk about the new program. Heroes of tomorrow. Seb instantly accepted. Before Barry could even explain. Since they were both speedsters. They could both speak at a accelerated rate. So it only took less than a second to explain. After hearing that he would be working with “reformed” villains and that he would still need to go to college, he looked to the ground for a second as he was reluctant. The voice of his dad came into his mind. “Be the best you can”. Seb agreed to join with a width smile and electricity in his eyes. In the literal meaning of the way. Once the cleaning was finally done. They went to sleep, Seb could barely sleep. He was excited. Once the night passed. They both zoomed to Mount Justice. Seb was ready to meet his new team. Eager even.

They became close really quick. Basically being brothers or cousins, Always cracking jokes at missions and finding fun all around. Thanks to Bart, Seb's social life is still alive.

The Flash family took him in like if he was one of their own blood. They made him feel welcome and so Seb tried his best to keep up and being a good family member. He spended all the time he could with everyone from he family. Even with the oldest and youngest speedster.

backstory | Lisette was born in the small town of Natchitoches, Louisiana to an upper middle class family of four. As the daughter of a well liked and wealthy pastor and his socialite wife Lisette was also held in a higher regard than most. They were required as everything a proper family should be, two loving and in love parents with their well-behaved children. The four of them were close with one another. Affection was given often and they spent as much as they could together. Lisette enjoyed spending time with her sister and mother. Helping out with the laundry or playing dress up. They’d even get into trouble like any other kids. Oftentimes Lisette would be scolded for taking her mother’s pearls or playing in her makeup.

Out of everyone however Lisette adored her older sister Isabelle the most. They made many fond memories, from staying outside until the street light came on to playing in their favorite wildflower field and cloud watching, only giggling wild as their mother scolded them for the flowers in their hair and the grass stains on her pretty clothes. People would never see one twin without the other. The two were inseparable.

Things changed forever when her power developed. Her ability was easy to hide at first, with her wearing pretty lace gloves in order to not touch people, but when the black fog manifested, the cat was out of the back. Living within a small community had become dangerous, as one of the very few people with powers Lisette became an outcast. She could remember going to church one day with her sister, led by a friend of her family. Lisette remembers feeling that something was wrong, when those doors closed. She was terrified the whole process of the exorcism, of the repeated baptism, sputtering and coughing as water entered her mouth and burned her lungs. So she lashed out and the place was engulfed with her fog. And within it those participating swore that they saw demons, heard their voices and felt their touches. It gave Lisette enough time to escape. And as Lisette ran she didn’t even realize that she had left Isabella behind. She never saw her sister reaching out for her as she crossed the door and ran home. When Lisette burst through the doors of her home, shaking and soaked to the bone her parents had been frantic. Their worried faces as they asked her where was Isabella was what made her realize. The news of her death devastated them and they moved.

Lisette moved with her parents and as she grew older so did her resentment. The young girl began to plot and plan to take revenge on those who wronged her. It was easy enough to gather followers once she was old enough, she was charismatic and could understand the struggles of those like her. When she finally returned to her home time it was bathed in fire. Her reign lasted for a while until the Justice League put a stop to it.

Personality: Imagine every pseudo-intellectual jackoff you've ever met, and remove the "pseudo" part. Despite being as irritating as every film bro or male poet, one can't deny that Cooper is exactly as intelligent as he'd like you to think. He's crude, he's cunning, he's intense, and most of all, he probably thinks he's better than you. There aren't many people Cooper holds in high regard, and most of those people have names you'd find in history books or on goth music CDs. He's very serious about his work, and doesn't kowtow to the "intellectually challenged", so anyone who criticizes him immediately becomes an enemy. This becomes problematic when you realize he was basically just a modern-day Herbert West: Re-Animator committing crimes against god in some dingy old basement.

While he can be skin-crawlingly smarmy and snide, he does have a heart somewhere in there. Usually the easiest way to chip at his thickened exterior is to show interest in him and the things he studies, which he can go on about all day if he pleases. He's not a very good listener, but will do his best if he feels you're worth the time. As well, if he manages to meet an intellectual equal, there's a solid chance he'll both love and hate them in some sort of rival-type relationship. Though he is "reformed", he doesn't feel like he's changed a whole lot.

Cooper would more or less be considered a reformed villain, though he detests the term. At the earliest points of his youth, anyone could tell there was something odd about the boy -- namely, an intelligence almost beyond comprehension. He hastily outclassed his public school peers, sending shockwaves through the little midwest town he lived in. His parents hardly knew what to do with him as he studied at higher and higher grade levels. By middle school, he was already studying things nearing a college level. With this in mind, he was removed from public school and instead homeschooled for the bulk of his years. Though he excelled in his studies, his social development suffered greatly.

He ended up attending college two years earlier than average, and was accepted into an Ivy League school with little issue. Of course, he had to take out a loan, so now he's in fucktons of student debt, but eh. You win some, you lose some. He made no friends during his years, and threw himself into his work, largely studying biology. He was at the top of his class, with only one slip-up. Believing he had found the secrets to reanimation, he brought a dead rat into one of his classes. Upon injecting it with his "miracle serum" it quickly grew hostile and harmed multiple people in the room before being killed. He nearly got arrested, but it was decided his family would settle out of court. Dejected, Cooper realized that his discoveries weren't welcome in the "normal world". He eventually moved into a house with one floor and a basement -- the perfect place to study.

He'd largely given up on reanimating dead tissue, he instead began studying the phenomena of superhuman mutation. He'd seen a lot of discussion regarding metahumans on TV, and wondered if he could engineer his own superheroes. It started with small animals -- his house was filled with stray cats that all had some sort of power -- but he realized that he couldn't continue these studies without moving onto human subjects.

By day, he was the mild-mannered biology major. By night, he was a butcher, kidnapping students from his own school to perform tests on. However, unlike with the cats, he couldn't seem to achieve the results he wanted. Oftentimes his subjects died on the operating table, and other times the mutations he caused were unsurvivable, to the point that killing them off would be a mercy. He set his sights on Justice League member Deadman, who no doubt had the answers to all of his burning questions -- regarding both superheroism and reanimation. However, while chasing the man down was one thing, getting him to stay put would be a completely different matter. Cooper realized he may have to experiment on himself.

He was extremely careful, not wanting to become like yet another one of his failed subjects. What he created was a one-of-a-kind fluid that turned his bodily fluids into poison. He began practicing with his power as soon as he acquired it, including testing its strength -- about a tablespoon of his blood could kill a man if ingested.

He used this power to make his kidnappings easier, then finally snagging an opportunity to "meet" Deadman. But despite what had now been a year of practice, he was still no match for the undead superhero, and was hastily apprehended. As his lab was ransacked, hundreds of undead and mutated cats were found, as well as other fauna such as possums, raccoons, skunks, squirrels and mice. Realizing Cooper was nothing short of a genius, and strangely admiring his attitude, Deadman struck a deal with Cooper: Give up villainy for good, or get arrested. Obviously, Cooper picked the former.

abilities

Abilities: Cooper has replaced his bodily fluids (specifically his saliva and blood) with a powerful toxic substance. If injected or consumed at even relatively small quantities, it should be enough to kill a person. Externally touching it can result in chemical burns, but usually only ends up with minor blisters since most people are smart enough not to stick their hands in green spit puddles.
Equipment/Weapons: Taking full advantage of his capabilities, Cooper carries a set of small knives that he sticks in his mouth, effectively making them lethal with even a small cut, at least to a regular human. He also can usually be seen carrying little vials of god-knows-what.
Strengths: Cooper's foremost strength comes from his intellectualism. He's a good strategist, reader of psychology, understander of anatomy and also has relative expertise in robotics. Anything that might qualify as "nerd shit" goes under his jurisdiction, which he has immense pride in.
Weaknesses: He's unable to stop producing toxic blood and saliva. His body immediately developed an internal immunity to his own fluids, but a combination of factors including his spit has caused his teeth to decay rapidly. He's a heavy smoker, and wasn't very strong to begin with -- good luck getting him to run long distances. Worth noting is that he also often overproduces saliva, causing him to drool or spit up a sort of green goo at random times of day. Most of all, he has a moral weakness, only having chosen this path to avoid prison time.

Personality: One might argue that a lot of Thelma's personality is a result of unmedicated ADHD, or perhaps a desire for attention, but she guarantees that this is all the real her. She's a spitfire whose mouth runs a mile a minute. It's pretty easy to get her excited, especially in regards to the arts. Art and music is her one true passion, and she'll go to excessive lengths to have that passion realized. This can often lead to destruction, but she largely seems to have good, or at least honest intentions. She rarely thinks before acting, though her general predilection towards nonviolence means she's predisposed to diplomacy over punching people. This doesn't mean she's good at diplomacy, mind you, she's more than once said the wrong thing at the wrong time and gotten in hot water, but one could argue that's still preferable to throwing your weight around.

Though she is well-meaning, she does definitely have a rebellious streak. Her opinions of the governing class are, to put it mildly, unkind. Which is fair, as she was raised with little money to go around and generally had a poor lot dealt to her in life. This anger has often been expressed through petty crime -- mostly vandalism. She's never intentionally harmed anyone, at the very least. But her mistrust towards the wealthy is made very much known to her peers, regardless of if they asked. When told to do things, she might say no just because she was told to do it. Her conscience always trumps command, and she'll do what she thinks is right before she does what she's asked. This can often make her as much trouble an ally as she would be an adversary.

history

Born in the London slums, Thelma was one of the two children of the Hicks family. Her sister, however, was caught on the wrong end of a drunk driving accident when she was only 9, leaving Thelma to be the survivor of the family. With the drunk driver being the son of a local politician, he got off with relatively little punishment, and even at the ripe age of 7 years, Thelma knew something was wrong. Attending a public school, she was surrounded by children as maladjusted and unhappy as she was. As she aged, something became very clear to her: Society was very, very unfair.

Though a sophmoric take to some, she always took notice of the little things. That blonde-haired girl who came in every few weeks with a new piece of jewelry. Her father's boss, who'd arrive in a sleek car and a clean-pressed suit once every now and then. The extravagant birthday parties her cousin threw in Brighton. All of the things she couldn't do and couldn't have. In high school she started a band with her classmates called Clipped Wings, where they wrote temperamental punk rock similar to that of The Sex Pistols. Though Thelma doesn't consider herself a "punk", as punk music and style has become little more than another trend stolen by the wealthy. Rather, she refers to herself as a "statement".

Then she, too, was hit by a car.

She lived, unlike her sister. However, this awoke a latent power within her, and while in one of her moods, she melted a glass of water. Filled with excitement to finally be a literal working-class hero as well as a punk rock goddess, she practiced on other things -- mostly old beer and soda bottles. At one of her cousin's parties, she melted a hole clean through the window.

This became a ritual. A few times each month, she'd take the two-hour drive to Brighton to destroy people's windows. Being able to reform the glass, she'd often use it to make crude phallic sculptures by the roads. Her vandalism went more local as she'd head to wealthier parts of London and melt their windows as well. She came to be known rather uncreatively as the Brighton Window-Melter, and her sock-masked visage entered local news outlets. Her pride was unmatched. They called her a villain, but she resented the statement. After all, she was little more than a public nuisance.

However, she reached the end of her rope many years later. Not being able to attend uni, she spent most of her time either working, playing gigs, or melting windows. Her "art" had become far more ambitious, extending to lamps, signs, really any glass structure she could find outside. Her final act of vandalism came when she liquified the stained-glass windows on a church. Before she could finish with all of them, she was apprehended not by a cop, but by a tourist -- a fellow named Plastic Man.

Though she was hardly a good citizen, the man did admire her personality. They were both snarky, witty and intense people. Maybe he saw a bit of his own younger self in her, being the uncoordinated but honest person she was. So he gave her the option of becoming a new hero. Of course, this was better than being arrested, but Thelma also saw a chance to change the world placed in front of her. She took the offer from her squash-and-stretch rival, accepting her new role as an EXTREMELY literal "working class hero".

Abilities: Thelma has the ability to manipulate glass by melting and reshaping it. The liquid glass reaches immensely high temperatures until re-solidified, though she hasn't been able to change the temperature of any other material. Why her powers are exclusive to glass is a mystery, but has never been a problem, either. She does this without touching the material (think Avatar: The Last Airbender) and thus has rarely suffered any burns from the molten substance.
Equipment/Weapons: Generally speaking, Thelma forms her weaponry out of surrounding glass structures. However, she's been told to carry a revolver in case she has no access to such things. Oftentimes she brings small glass objects with her as "ammo".
Strengths: Along with being relatively skilled at using her power, she's got very strong legs. Running is a skill of hers that she's honed for years of avoiding the police. This means she has a very strong kick, though her punches leave a little more to be desired. She's not a good speaker by any means, but she is highly empathetic towards others, and relies heavily on her ability to connect with people that may be considered enemies.
Weaknesses: Due to the cause of her powers, shifting too much material at once can give her intense headaches and has the possibility to cause hemorrhages if she's stretched too thin. Aside from that, she doesn't like fighting, and will avoid doing it for as long as she possibly can, which can often put her and those around her in danger. Really the only exception is if her enemy is some wealthy corporation-owning scumbag.

He cleans up well, but doesn't really give himself the chance very often. Clothes are very low on his list of priorities seeing as they often get discarded when he uses his powers, so he wears his adaptable suit frequently even under casual clothing.

Boris is decently scarred, jagged lines across his legs, arms, and chest, but the most obvious and prominent would be the discolored skin and surgical reparation scars on Boris' neck. It looks rather gruesome, but he doesn't really do much in the way of covering it up. Unrelated to those scars, he's got a decent mark on his nose and a crooked ring finger.

Due to an incident in his childhood that injured his neck and vocal chords, Boris cannot speak very loud, and he finds his breathing labored often. He carries around an asthma inhaler for this reason. Screaming for help or shouting across a battlefield is not something Boris is able to do without seriously damaging his voice, and being rendered totally unable to speak for the next few days.

Boris' powers make him extremely well equipped for missions that require a bit more versatility and subtlety. He can also be sent into more sticky situations, where a normal person might be more at risk, a sentient ball of slime could probably scope out a dangerous area with little repercussions. Aside from his powers, Boris himself is very equipped to slink in the shadows. He's good at staying quiet, unnoticed, and also has a keen eye honed in to things people might not usually notice.

With little to no combative abilities, Boris is not made for the spotlight. He's better off playing support in the back or scouting ahead. He can also get disoriented by using his powers too often, and the injury to his neck aids in his quickly dwindling energy reserves. Shortness of breath and quietness of voice are two very hard things to deal with when you're a sidekick, but he has learned to make do. His unimposing power and stature can sometimes mean that he's overlooked or under appreciated, and not being able to raise his voice creates more barriers than one might think.

In a world of big personalities, great powers, and loud mouths, Boris is easily missable. Despite a decent power set and a solid amount of skill, his quiet demeanor usually puts him far away from the spotlight. Luckily, Boris doesn't mind this at all. He thrives in quiet spaces, and generally enjoys going unnoticed. This desire doesn't mesh well with the life of a superhero, but as a sidekick, it was mostly perfect. Having lived a life of unfortunate events, Boris has found himself succumbing to the will of fate. He wants to do good, and being in the business of doing so, feels obligated, but is of the belief that most showboats and powerhouses are missing opportunities that exist in the more unchecked spots.

Boris was always a quiet child, and the mutilation of his voice only seemed to exacerbate his docile persona. He waits before he acts. He thinks before he speaks. This comes with a slight bit of spitefulness that some might not expect. If he knows someone won't listen, he won't bother, and he can sometimes be a little quick to judge. He thinks the world is against him, and acts with a little bit of a chip on his shoulder. But he sees beauty in a lot of things, and tries to hold himself from getting lost in the bad of the world. He has a surprisingly gentle touch about all things he does, and while he can be a bit quick to distrust, there is a glimmer in his eyes that always wants otherwise. He enjoys proving himself useful, and if given the chance, will want to help. Despite sagged shoulders, his eyes are bright, and he still clings onto his humanity very tightly, which is always important in a world that looks like this one.

That's the kind term for it, anyway. Boris can turn his body into a moldable, pliable, and rather resistant mush. In a matter of seconds, his entire form can be reduced to a strange, goopy puddle on the floor, though it has a strange amount of benefits. In this form, Boris can't really be injured or destroyed. The density of this slime can be changed, and made to be somewhat elastic. It's also pretty quiet to move around as a sentient ball of slime, as well as giving him the ability to get into places that most people would not normally be able to squeeze into, making him very helpful for espionage. A more recent development of his power has been the ability to make just certain parts of himself turn into his classic mush, i.e, making his hand melt away while he keeps the rest of his body in human form. If timed properly, this can help him avoid an injury or allow him to stretch a certain way. His form also has a certain amount of camouflage properties. This is the hardest thing for Boris to do at the moment, but with enough power, he should eventually be able to mold his facial features into looking like someone else, or camouflage his entire body to blend in with a wall behind him.

While not the most initially appealing superpower, it does have a surprisingly wide amount of uses. This can sometimes be overwhelming to Boris, and it can also be strangely hard to retain sentience if he stays in mush-form too long. He can find his thoughts slipping away from him, so he tries to use his ability in short bursts, returning to human form as often as possible to keep clarity of mind. Jumping between mush and human can be disorienting in its own way, though, so it's taken a lot of training and a fairly strong stomach to be quick and nimble with his powers.

Clothes don't exactly like to stay on him when he turns to mush, so he has a special skin-tight suit that adapts to his DNA and turns to-and-from mush with him. Weapons also don't exactly mesh well, so his offensive abilities are currently very limited.

Second born to a family of Russian immigrants in Central City, Boris had a truly lovely childhood. Though their family was small, with most of their extended relatives being back home in Russia, Boris never felt alone. With the company of two brothers, making him the middle child, and their loving parents, he grew up kind, inquisitive, and thoughtful. The more reserved of the three Petrova boys, he was often teased and prodded, but it was all out of love, and Boris knew that. He was close with his brothers, Andreis, and the youngest, Demyan. Often feeling out of place due to their thick Russian accents and immigrant status, they relied on each other heavily, and Boris knows he wouldn't have any goodness in his heart without them.

Up until the ripe age of thirteen, things were normal. His biggest gripes were the school bullies and the middle school girls. They were never very well off, living paycheck to paycheck, but it never felt like that. Their home was warm. Filled with Russian spices and cheesy decor. Their father worked long hours and they always waited eagerly for him to come home, while their mother worked the kitchen like a well oiled machine and was the heart of their little neighborhood community. He didn't know he was a mutant, of course. Those sorts of things didn't show up when everything in your life is for the most part, great. But living in the world where the Justice League does means even in your home, you're not safe.

Collateral damage is a massive thing in the superhero business. And despite it's great toll, it's often swept under the rug. To this day, Boris isn't exactly sure who to blame for the decimation of their little Russian neighborhood. An extraplanar force touched down, and with it, many lives were lost in the battle, even though it was won in the end. Those lives included the ones of his family.

Pinned under the rubble, Boris doesn't remember much. What was once his own home crushed his young body and kept him from even seeing what fate his family met. For some reason, he didn't have some magical moment where his powers kicked in and saved him from the wreckage. You would think someone with the ability to turn their physical form into nothing but mush would have been able to get out of the rubble easy, but it had to have been hours, if not days before he became a strange pile of sludge on the floor. Long enough for his throat to have been crushed, his limbs to have been twisted, and for the rest of his family to have died. Save for his older brother, who hadn't been home at the time, coming home to the decimation.

Just as the the Justice League had helped to both cause and end the ruin, they worked tirelessly to pull survivors to safety. Boris doesn't remember it, but the hand that pulled him from the wreck was Ralph Dibny. Thus, another life began.

growing with hope
Dibny always said that when they found Boris in the rubble, he was half sludge, half boy. The boy part very badly mutilated, but the sludge part very interesting to Dibny. Seeing something of himself in the boy, he watched over him during recovery and offered him the chance of a lifetime when he'd healed. Though Boris still had his eldest brother, he felt small and alone without the rest of his family, his little brother and his parents. And while he easily could have blamed the Justice League just as much as the alien evil that had taken them out, he was a little boy, and a little boy who loved superheroes at that.

Elongated Man hadn't exactly been the highest on his list, but he was the best person to help him understand his strange abilities, and the two became rather close. Plus, it helped greatly to have the help of a superhero when you were bouncing around in the foster care system. Ralph Dibny tried his best to make sure they were placed in proper homes, and helped Andreis get custody of Boris the moment he aged out of the system. All the while, Dibny helped Boris train.

Boris' quiet disposition never had him overly gushing in the presence of Dibny, but his more thoughtful and observant demeanor made him a surprisingly well balanced side kick to the outgoing Elongated Man. Of course, it took him a little while to be ready for any sort of spotlight, meeting Dibny at such a young age, but until that point, Dibny was something of a role model for the young boy. If Dibny hadn't taken him in, perhaps a very different Boris would have emerged. One that hated the Justice League for their carelessness, or blamed them for the destruction. But instead, he grew up hopeful. Wanting to do good, be good, and make his family proud.

Mush wasn't the codename that Boris would have picked for himself, but it was a nickname that stuck far too quickly. He played reconnaissance on behalf of Dibny, so he wasn't often named by the media, though there were a few occasions where the name Mush did grace the papers. Much to his chagrin. It was originally supposed to have been the Russian equivalent, Kasha, or "каша", but the papers didn't quite process that. The name also comes from the childhood dish that his mother used to make, which she affectionately referred to as kasha.

Both his brother and Dibny suggested Boris try his hand at the college life style to balance out the small time sidekick gig, so he's getting his degree in computer science. He finds solace in the retreat of video games and is a pretty decent coder, as well as starting to try his hand at robotics programming. He's no prodigy, and it's especially hard to feel confident in his abilities among technopaths and science gods, but he can hold his own and be pretty helpful in a pinch.

Overall, Boris has grown up to be a man who can hold his own even in the chaotic world that he was introduced too. Though he's not sure about rising up in the ranks, he feels that this isn't an opportunity to look past, and wants to do his best.

As far as her powers, Jo's magic is very versatile. It can be used for combat, reconnaissance, deception, and gathering information that would be inaccessible otherwise. The type of magic Jo practices falls under the dark arts, so her powers are strengthened by nighttime and moonlight. Outside of her powers, Jo's out-of-the-box thinking can make her a creative strategizer or a tricky combatant to fight against. She's perceptive, picking up all the little things when it's important. Although her wealth of knowledge is often impractical, it can come in handy when obscure facts just happen to be needed. Also, two heads are better than one. Although Jo and Mina bicker a lot, having easy access to another person's thoughts, observations, and knowledge at any time is a strength. Mina can be quite shrewd.

Although her powers are versatile, they come with downfalls. Jo, unlike many metahumans, does not benefit from any naturally enhanced strength or speed. All of her physical enhancements must come naturally from working out and are only within the scope of a normal human. Although she can use magic to move or life things, she's just a normal person without it. Being separated from the Grimoire or being in direct daylight both weaken her to some extent. A combination of both could leave her very vulnerable. Outside of her powers, Jo's bizarre thinking patterns can cause her to make decisions others would find unintuitive or just plain reckless. The psychological effects of Mina's possession can make her unstable or unreliable in a pinch.

PERSONA: Jo is a bit of a character. She's a creative, eccentric type of person. The first things a lot of people will notice about her are her light-heartedness (that borders on irreverence), her strange observations, and her niche references. She's not shy at all. Rather, she's friendly, talkative, and seemingly immune to embarrassment, no matter how weird she may seem or how unknowingly out-of-pocket some of her comments may be. She strikes many as opinionated, and she is for the most part. Some of her ideas may be unconventional, but she'll stand by them regardless. Although, she often throws people for a loop by behaving as if she doesn't actually care that much about anything after all. She loves analyzing and talking about things--music, movies, video games, art, anything. She has artistic sensibilities and boasts a wealth of knowledge, some of it commonly known and some of it rather obscure or random. Her contributions to conversations range from intelligent thoughts and sharp observations to bizarre musings and odd tangents. She often foregoes the graces and sensitivities of normal social interaction in favor of authenticity, resulting in moments that can be awkward or inappropriate in a way that's imperceptible to her. She keeps a smile up through most of it, though.

Jo is well-intentioned and wants to be helpful but struggles with forgetfulness and being easily bored. Her absent-mindedness causes her to forget things she was just thinking about or lose things that were right in front of her. Her hobbies and interests can keep her attention easily--most other things cannot. Jo often becomes frustrated with these aspects of herself, fighting against them and losing. This has resulted in a habit of self-deprecation, and she doesn't realize how much this truly negatively affects her. Since she likes to keep things light, she'll often tip-toe around intimate discussion of this internal conflict and a lot of other things she finds difficult to talk about. If she perceives that anyone is trying to probe or provide commentary on these sensitive parts of herself, she can become defensive. Additionally, Jo's mind moves quickly, sometimes too quickly for her own good. This contributes to her absent-mindedness but also causes her to act impulsively, saying or doing things without thinking completely. Later on, however, she'll overthink the decisions she's already made, feeling deep regret and even more self-loathing.

At her core, Jo just wants to have fun and explore her passions. But she also wants to contribute and help and uplift people. It's not always easy to mesh these things, especially when Jo feels ill-equipped to accomplish the latter. Although she'll deny it, she hates being alone for too long and loves the feeling of successfully pleasing others, making her even more loathing of her tendency to disappoint people. She doesn't experience embarrassment, per say, just extreme frustration with her inability to do certain things. Lastly, Jo is very spiritual (as you can imagine considering her circumstances), prone to episodes of airy transcendence and saintly optimism but also episodes of extreme existential dread. This spirituality can act as a guide for her when things get morally tricky, allowing her to resolve to follow her heart, sympathize with others, and try to do the right thing.

One last thing to consider: sharing her body with the spirit of a witch affects Jo and her behavior. Having to talk to a voice inside of her head often contributes to Jo's bizarreness, her trouble focusing and remembering, and her self-loathing, as Mina sometimes provides callous commentary on Jo's shortcomings.

Mina: Since Mina is, in terms of personality, her own being, it only feels appropriate to talk about the spirit of the witch that Jo is forced to live with. Mina, before the partial exorcism, was cruel, ambitious, and persistent. She actually kind of despised Jo (whom she always calls "Josephine" because she hates nicknames) for her personal flaws. She was willing to do anything to grow her power and strengthen her connection with the eldritch god that supposedly grants her that power. Post-exorcism, however, Mina has been humbled and sedated by becoming the passenger of the body and having to accept that her reign of villainy is over. She's given up on her ambitions for now and is resigned to being a snarky voice in Jo's head that is constantly at odds with her. However, if Jo dies, Mina will also die, making her reasonably protective of the girl despite their bickering.

ABILITIES:
Arcane Energy Manipulation (Dark Magic): Jo is partially possessed by the spirit of an ancient witch that she's playfully named "Mina." When she was fully possessed, her body had access to many more of Mina's magical powers. Now that it is only a partial possession, giving Jo control of her body again, she's lost her knack for spellcraft and is primarily able to manipulate raw dark magic, also known as arcane energy. Mina (and Jo's) relationship to magic involves tapping into it as a primordial force. Jo can shape raw magic, making it solid, liquid, or gas-like, shoot blasts of it, make constructs of it, and achieve various other effects. She can do this using the raw magic present in the world around her or by tapping into the dark magic in Mina's Soul-Self. The latter takes more effort and energy, so it is easier for Jo to pull magic from the world, especially at nighttime. Raw dark magic appears as a midnight blue (nearly black) substance when being manipulated.
- Mediumship: Another part of Mina's witchcraft that Jo has access to is her ability to listen to and speak with spirits. Spirits can provide her with information or have certain effects on the living world. Jo's ability to compel spirits to do complex tasks is limited, so, if she gets a spirit to do something, it is usually more out of persuasion or compensation rather than force.
- Flight: One of the few spells that Jo can cast is a flight spell that gives her the power to fly for a period of time.
- Mina's Soul + Spellcraft: The partial exorcism has given Jo control of her body, but Mina remains in her. Mina can speak to Jo and attempt to exercise her will. Jo can easily resist, but if needed she can give in to Mina's will temporarily, allowing her to tap into the extra power that was sealed away and allowing Mina to manifest herself as arcane energy and do things to protect Jo automatically. The capability for spellcraft is still present in Jo's body, and Mina holds the knowledge. If they worked together and Jo trusted Mina, she could do more complex magic such as rituals, curses, and spells, but it would take practice.

EQUIPMENT
The Grimoire: The cursed artifact that started it all. Jo carries this tome, which is the original spellbook of Mina, with her at all times. She would still be possessed by Mina and have access to her powers without being close to the Grimoire, but proximity to it enhances her powers considerably. It is not that large, so Jo usually has it attached to her hip. Her powers don't actually require her to read or open it at all, so it just dangles there.
The book says "AMINA" in big letters across the front, meaning "soul." When Jo first discovered the book, the "A" was covered in grime. Thus, Mina received her name and it stuck.

Josephine Ophelia Lowery wasn't originally born a metahuman. She was born on February 7th, the first and only child of Monica Lowery and Joseph Lowery, a lower-income couple living in South Side Chicago. The South Side was a rough place, but young Jo had a fairly happy childhood regardless. This was partially due to her natural tendency of finding ways to have fun, partially due to her parents' determination to keep her happy and safe, and partially due to Jo's early resolution to ignore her parents' explosive arguments and the fact that Joseph occasionally hit Monica. She spent a lot of her childhood alone, watching cartoons, reading, playing video games, and acting out TV shows with her toys. When she did play with the other kids on her block, she had the most fun playing hide-and-seek in the evening when it was dark, delighted by the scare factor of being found. She often took her GameBoy and met up with other kids at the playground, trading and battling Pokemon.

Upon getting a bonus at work, Monica, who had always wanted to play an instrument growing up, bought Jo a viola and weekly lessons. Jo, nine at the time, eagerly picked it up and learned quickly. She was performing at recitals in no time. Her parents found that, although she was a little strange and forgetful, their daughter was rather bright. They resolved to ensure that she was set up for success. They saw her as a doctor, lawyer, or businesswoman. However, as Josephine approached adolescence, she started to diverge from their expectations.

Jo only grew brighter and more creative, but she directed her energy at endeavors her parents deemed impractical. She took up guitar in addition to her viola and began to take an interest in alternative music. She spent a lot more time playing video games. She tried out painting and loved it, although she wasn't necessarily good. Her wardrobe and makeup collection started to be dominated by darker colors. Her parents didn't mind too much at first, but it came to a head when they moved out of South Side to a pleasant Chicago suburb when she was thirteen. Jo, despite her parents' encouragement, had trouble making friends at the new school and found most of the things to do in the suburb boring. She ended up taking the train to the South Side to visit friends and to Downtown to experience new things for most of her free time.

The time she spent Downtown was magical. At fourteen, she started a band with some friends for fun and tried to break into Chicago's music scene. This endeavor was reasonably successful. Jo spent a lot of time at music venues or in galleries. She spent barely any time at home. Although Jo could've been more studious, her priorities shifted and her academic record became only slightly above average, a breakaway from the straight-A student she had been before. When Jo talked about career paths, she talked about options such as video game design, animation, and music on a serious level. All of this worked to strain Jo's relationship with her parents and her parents' relationship with each other. Joseph blamed Monica for their daughter's changes ("You coddled her!"), and Monica responded bitterly ("You suffocate her! She hates you!"). It became harder for Jo to ignore her parents' arguments and her father's domestic abuse.

Jo grew deeply unhappy with her home life, and her relationship with her parents became a source of trauma and hurt. They often said cruel things to her, deeply indignant at what they perceived as betrayal. Jo's father in particular seemed determined to express his resentment and remind her that she was ungrateful and disappointing. It began to show that they had been deeply emotionally invested in her choices, wanting to live vicariously through her. She began to feel unstable and make impulsive decisions--leave home without telling them, go to shady places, talk sweetly to older guys. Her grades plummeted and her self-esteem deteriorated. In this time of extreme turmoil, she took up tarot and other spiritual practices. Her interest in spirituality started out as something mundane (crystals and astrology) but quickly evolved into a fascination with deep theology and the occult. It provided an outlet for her to seek peace away from her home life. She added "spiritual consultant" to her list of potential life paths.

Jo's life changed irreversibly when she was sixteen. She was on a school trip to France. One day on the trip, they were getting a tour of the Paris Catacombs. Jo, being the person she is, snuck away from the tour guide and ventured off the designated path. After some exploring, she stumbled upon a skeleton that appeared to be kept separate from all of the other ones. In its bony hands was a book. Jo's curiosity got the best of her. She picked up the black book, which appeared to have "MINA" printed across the front (she would later figure out that it actually said "AMINA"), and opened it. The second the book was opened, her fate was sealed. The spirit of an old witch had haunted the book for centuries and now had its hands on Jo's body. The girl watched as dark magic, like black dust, touched her skin, entered her mouth and eyes, and completely overtook her. When the possession process finished, Jo was no longer in control. She felt as if she were a passenger in her own body. A prisoner, rather, in her own body. And her body inherited the witch's powers. She could speak to the dead. She could see the arcane energy present in their souls and in the world around her. She could shape and manipulate this raw magic energy and also cast spells. The spirit of the witch called herself "Pythonissa," and a supervillain was born.

For the next few years, Jo acted as a supervillain against her will. Pythonissa had intentions of growing her magic power by any means necessary. She drained innocents of their life force, robbed museums for their magical artifacts, kidnapped children for dark rituals, sought to kill any heroes that could stop her, and more. One of Pythonissa's main nemeses was Rachel Roth, also known as Raven, which was ironic considering that, pre-possession, Jo had been a bit of a Titans groupie. Raven was best equipped to handle the occultist powers of Pythonissa but wasn't able to actually put a stop to her for a while. These few years of villainy were a bit of a blur for Jo. She never felt quite conscious, but can still remember some of the horrific things she was forced to do. The memories of those years are either terrible or murky for her.

a new twilight
Finally, after three years of Pythonissa's villainy, Raven, after consulting with June Moone (aka "Enchantress"), discovered what Pythonissa's weakness was and was able to put a stop to her. Raven made a plan. Pythonissa went to steal a magic artifact from a vault but found that a trap had been laid for her. She was struck with sunlight from a white magic artifact and had the Grimoire snatched away from her. While Pythonissa was weakened, Raven attempted an exorcism to force the witch out of Jo's body at last.

The exorcism was a partial success. Jo regained control of her body and a large fraction of the witch's power was sealed away. However, the witch, whom Jo called "Mina" because of her first encounter with the book, remained in her body, weakened yet still whispering to Jo whenever she would listen. Jo still had access to Mina's ability to manipulate raw magic and speak to the dead. Upon realizing what had happened for the past few years, Jo was broken and terrified of herself. Raven took her in, cared for her, and helped her with physical and spiritual rehabilitation for months. When the girl was relatively stable, Raven offered her an opportunity. She could become a hero, putting her in the company of people who could help her and save her from herself, or she could attempt to go back to regular life. Jo, feeling profoundly guilty for all the acts she committed as "Pythonissa," chose to become a hero. She hopes to make up for all of the suffering her possession caused and potentially find a way to fully exorcise Mina one day. Thus "Pythonissa" became "Night-light." The idea behind the name is that she could make something bright out of all the darkness of her magic. Jo also thought it was pretty cute.

June Moone is also sort of a big sister figure for Jo. June's insight helped to perform the exorcism. She and Jo also talk on the phone often, bonding over the trauma of supernatural possession.

The witch that Jo shares her body with. Mina and Jo have achieved the equilibrium that comes about when two people hate each other's guts but are stuck together and depend on each other because of it. They bicker often.

- jo has hardcore imposter syndrome due to being a relatively normal person thrust into the world of heroes by her possession. she wants to make everyone proud but feels like such a kid.
- her parents were happy to learn that she chose the path of a hero, thinking it to be more lucrative and prestigious than her other options. this messes with jo's head.
- jo can feel what she calls "ghost emotes" of mina. when speaking to mina, she can basically feel when she would smile, frown, etc. if she had a face.
- jo was a huge fan of the teen titans and sometimes fantasized about being a metahuman. she didn't quite expect it to happen the way it did.
- jo was a horror movie addict pre-possession, and still is. however, now that mina's come along, jo ironically finds herself more easily scared rather than less.
- jo used her powers to shoot and direct a short horror film. she used magic to hold up the camera and shaped raw magic to mock-attack her.

personality
Arlo is like a die, many different sides, all a chance roll depending on who one is. Most people stumble upon him with an expressionless face and a not entirely friendly, but not standoffish attitude. This may change once familiarized with a person, but as someone who’s never experienced any lasting bonds ━ aside from his mother ━ he’s quite detached and talks with others as if they are temporary. That’s not to say he won’t smile and crack a joke or two, but he’s rather uncertain of getting attached and can get quite awkward.
ORIGIN
Arlo did not live a childhood of hero or villain, but rather criminal punks. His parents both born as second generation immigrants from Korea, they weren’t spared the ‘American Dream’ of the USA and neither was Arlo. He grew up in a chaotic lifestyle; exposed to corruption, violence, crime, and never really had one place to call home. Since he was a child, he followed in his parents footsteps of doing what they had to in order to get by. Though they were raising him in the ‘bad’ of the world, his parents tried their best to keep him safe in the lifestyle they lived. Whether it be bailing him out of juvie or getting his favorite food when feeling down, they were always there for him.
SECRETS
At age 12 Arlo’s dad passed away, triggering abilities he never knew flowed through him. In the process of grief he had a fit of anger and ended up throwing glass marbles at a cement wall. One would expect the marbles to bounce off, instead Arlo stared bewildered at the small holes where the marbles were lodged. He said nothing to his mother, overwhelmed with confusion and sadness.

The death of his father also revealed important things that had been kept from him. Things he didn’t question or notice until then. Such as the reason they lived a nomadic lifestyle was not from getting kicked out place by place, but because they were on the run from more than one thing. He wasn’t told much, just what he needed to know, the less he knew the better. One, his parents were part of a secret society, their mission to rid corruption and give justice where the system failed. Two, they were on the cusp of uncovering something big, Arlo didn’t know what that something was, but his father was silenced. Three, Arlo’s father had Ergokinesis ━ the ability to manipulate and create energy ━.and was being hunted by scientists.

It was only after all of this did Arlo tell his mother of the marbles.
ANTIHERO
While Arlo’s mother did not have an ability such as him and his father, she still helped him develop his abilities where she could. Mostly, he discovered things on his own and honed them, by the age of 17 he had a good grip on what he could do and what type of abilities he had. It was then he vowed to carry on the mission his parents could no longer do, his father deceased and his mother too tired, and rid the world of corruption and injustice. Arlo went about things in his own way, he was no hero nor sidekick, and yet not a villain.

The ability to generate, project, and manipulate Kinetic Energy. This energy is created by movement and transferred in one way or another to be used effectively by the wielder of said energy.
Kinetic Charging
Charge something or transfer kinetic energy from one thing to another. This can be used to strengthen attacks, such as small projectiles making deadly holes or using energy created when weapons clash to make a stronger comeback. The bigger the object, the longer it takes to charge.
Collision Control
A Kinetic wielder can manipulate the forces of impacts and collisions and make objects or people come to a dead stop after hitting something, or bounce back from hitting something.
Shockwave
With gathered or stored energy, a shockwave can be released upon contact. Either to push an opponent away or tear a whole in a wall, this requires quite a lot of energy. The bigger the shockwave, the more energy used.

Personality: Despite her preoccupation with demons escaping the pit, Chiyo is not very approachable. She rarely shows emotion, giving a cold impression to others. Her manner of speaking is very blunt, almost insulting at times, and her comments are often coarse or inappropriate. Her willingness to work with given orders is strictly limited to individuals she respects, and she has no problem showing open disdain for authority from anyone outside of this circle.

While no one would expect it from the host of a demon, Chiyo has a strong sense of morality and empathy. One of her most defining characteristics is the great value she places on preserving human life; this is especially shown when an exorcism gets a possessed person killed. The thought that she could have saved them had she gotten there sooner disturbs her greatly. Nonetheless, she continues forward, carrying their wills with her in her endless journey.
Powers & Abilities

Powers:
Demonic Host: Chiyo shares a body with Abaddon, Guardian of the Endless Pit. The two of them can converse through the host's mind and more or less get along.

Immortality: Having been binded to Abaddon, Chiyo's mortal body became eternal. While she can no longer age, she can still be harmed and even killed.

Superhuman Physiology: Chiyo possesses superhuman strength, speed, stamina and durability, as well as enhanced senses.

Demonic Transformation: Giving control of their shared body to Abaddon, Chiyo can transform into a physical manifestation of the demon's body: a large, almost corpse-like vulture.

Animal Control: A limited form of this gives Chiyo control over pestilential locust-like stinging insects in swarms.

Demonic Magiks: Chiyo is capable of utilizing demonic forces and satanic spells to her advantage.

Abilities:
Singing: A smooth, alto tone that knows how to sing a tune thanks to a while of practice.
Machinery: While not to the extent of the more intelligent members of the League, Chiyo is perfectly capable of performing basic repairs to most machines.
Polyglot: Japanese, English and Latin, and if she continues to live for as long as her mentor has, she'll have more under her belt eventually.
Hand-to-hand Combat: Possesses intensive knowledge of close quarters combat in case of an unexpected skirmish.
Swordsmanship: Presumably stemming from the past she has no memory of, Chiyo wields a blade as though it was second nature.

Equipment:
Motorcycle: A Ducati Panigale V2 painted pitch black, she treats it with utmost care.
Wakizashi: A japanese shortsword sharpened to the point of slicing through paper like butter.

Strengths:
Occult Knowledge: Having a demon in your skull and an immortal mentor with the exact same predicament would lead to extensive knowledge on the supernatural.
Combat Ready: Perfectly capable of going toe-to-toe with particularly skilled combatants.

Weaknesses:
Heavenly Weapons: Any weapon crafted by Heaven or blessed by the Heavenly Host puts her at a fatal disadvantage.

He was a guardian who made sure no one escaped or entered without authority.

Abaddon had guarded the cavernous opening to Masak Mavdil for two thousand years until Etrigan, with vengeful ambition to rule Hell, came seeking his mother who had been banished by Belial when the Demon was just a boy. Abaddon was distracted by a flame decoy as Etrigan sneaked into the Pit, and with a slave on his exit. When Etrigan was prepared to launch his assault on the Satanic Triumvirate he first faced Abaddon in battle to try and gain his support, winning the Destroyer over with a bargain.

Abaddon marched with the army of Etrigan and Ran Va Daath to assault the fortress of Beelzebub and, combining their power, Abaddon and Etrigan razed it to the ground, capturing the Lord of Flies before accepting Lucifer's surrender. At Etrigan's coronation at Masak Mavdil, the new king of Hell announced his triumvirate would consist of his mother and Abaddon. Belial was enraged at the betrayal, and although Abaddon offered to fight his father for him, Etrigan showed Hell his power by consigning Belial to the Pit.

Hokkaido, 3 Years Ago

Fukushima Chiyo was found in the ruins of a small town ravaged by an influx of demonic activity, on the outskirts of Hokkaido. At the time, the more magically inclined members of the Justice League were carrying out a post-incident scouting mission and stumbled upon Chiyo, who was resting alone in a destroyed building. Assuming that the young woman was a victim of the incident and afraid that she would fall victim to the aftereffects of being exposed to so much demonic energy for too long, the members decided to bring her back to the Watchtower. It was only later that they realized that Chiyo was not merely a victim.

Belial had rallied a number of his fellow prisoners to his cause and forced their way out of the pit and into the mortal plane. Forcing their way into the bodies of humans above, the newly freed demons began eagerly wrecking havoc. Chiyo just so happened to be one of the people who were possessed. Except it wasn't just any demon who wormed their way into her body. It was Abaddon. Furious at the successful escape attempt under his guard, in a fit of rage, he too had gone to the surface.

The initial strain when he entered Chiyo's body was too much for the young woman's mind to handle. The result of that lapse in sanity was that wretched scene the League found her in.

Personality:
On first impressions Gabby comes off as quiet, some would say too quiet, preferring to observe rather than to speak. Her choices of shabby, unassuming clothes, combined with her ability to sit still, seemingly for hours on end means she easily blends into the background. People underestimate her for this, and once she realised this could work to her advantage she began to cultivate an outwards façade of a reclusive, somewhat shy girl. There is no indication that a stone cold killer lurks underneath.
While under the League's influence Gabby was the perfect assassin, cold, collected, lethal and silent. She rarely spoke, but always observed and was perfectly to content to wait for long stretches of time. Things have changed since then, thanks mostly to Oliver's undoing of her brainwashing.
Her defining emotions are now anger and shame anger at letting herself be used, shame that she wasn't strong enough to resist the brainwashing.
She doesn't label herself a hero or even a vigilante, believing that she has too much red in her ledger for that to be accurate. Her biggest desire in life is to wipe her slate clean by doing the right thing (or more precisely the opposite of what the League taught her to do).
Gabby is determined to the point of being stubborn. Once she's found a goal she sticks to it and pursues it relentlessly. No matter what life throws at her she forces herself up and struggles on.
She struggles with authority figures and obeying rules, often seeing them as too constraining and preventing her from reaching her full potential and using her skills to the best of her ability. She prefers to forge her own path and work alone. Teamwork is something that doesn't come easy to her and it's not uncommon for her to drop off comms and go rogue. When she doesn't like a plan of action she'll make it quite clear (a habit that tends to infuriate those around her).
Gabby is an adrenaline junkie, craving danger and excitement in a way bordering on unhealthy. She's happiest when adrenaline is coursing through her veins and it's this need for a fix that means she keeps coming back to the vigilante lifestyle. When necessary she can be patient, so long as she knows that there is an action filled pay-off at the end.
Gabby's anger management has gotten better under Oliver's tutelage, but some of that rage still remains. 'Feisty' is a word often applied to her, she doesn't take people's shit and will make that quite clear to you from the get go. Making a homophobic or sexist comment around her is a sure-fire way of earning a fist to the face. She doesn't forgive or forget those who have slighted her easily and will hold grudges, for years if necessary.
For somebody with such a feisty outer shell, the extent to which she detests being in the spotlight is surprising. She hates being the centre of attention and detests large social gatherings, spending most of her time in the darkest corner with a scowl.
Making friends and allies is not something she finds easy, the events of her past have left her paranoid and suspicious towards genuine overtures of friendship and it takes effort to break through her stubborn shell. But once they do Gabby proves herself to be an incredibly loyal friend, as well as one with a sharp sense of humour.
While outwardly she likes to portray an aura of being comfortable in her own skin, Gabby still struggles, particularly with the acts she committed while brainwashed. The transition from a trained assassin to somebody with a normal life has not been an easy one. Deep down she fears that she's not been entirely freed from the brainwashing and conditioning of the League of Assassins and that all it will take is one push too far and she'll revert back to the cold-blooded, uncaring killing machine she used to be.
Abilities, Powers, Equipment

Powers: Compared to the big name powers Gabby’s seems basic and almost laughably unpowerful. Her meta power allows her to control the path of any object she throws or shoots, so long as she can see her intended target. She uses it to bend blades and arrows around corners in shots that should be impossible, but once they are out of her sight they resume a straight flight path. This power only does not work on bullets as she must be touching the projectile in the milliseconds before it is fired. This ability gives her phenomenal accuracy,
Abilities:
+ Languages- she speaks English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Russian and Mandarin fluently and has acquired, over the years, an impressively large vocabulary of curse words
+ Marksmanship: phenomenal thanks to her meta-human power
+ Archery: her preferred method of fighting, with a bow and arrow she’s lethal and not to be underestimated. Even when she isn’t using her powers to influence her arrows’ trajectory she’s a damn fine sharpshooter
+ Acrobatics and parkour: both were integral parts of the League’s training for their child agents. A natural flexibility meant Gabby excelled at these and it’s not uncommon for her to spend spare time honing these skills in the gym or on the street
+ Close quarters fighting: she employs a mixture of various martial arts moves she learned from the League, striking fast and making use of her gymnast's flexibility, preferring to hit first before her enemy has the chance to think or even react
+ Pickpocketing: a skill she acquired as a young child and has never lost

Equipment/Weapons:
+ Bow: her pride and joy, a custom bit of kit designed to be her perfect bow
+ Arrows: both regular arrows and trick arrows. While the latter may sound gimmicky and look gimmicky, there is no denying they are effective (magnesium flare, USB, grappling hook, tracker, smoke bomb, arrows with nets that spring out and a boomerang arrow are the ones she uses)

+ A set of concealed throwing knives, one in each boot, two at her waist and one elsewhere on her body

+ Supersuit: although it may look like leather outwardly, it is actually made of panels of kevlar and a stab-proof material. It is light and allows a surprising range of flexibility. History

Backstory:
Gabriella was born into a poor Spanish family. One of six children, her parents had already been struggling to pay for rent, food and education for the older children before she was born. Her early childhood was characterised by poverty, there was never enough food, the electricity to their cramped apartment was often cut off. She and her siblings were reduced to begging on the streets and later pick-pocketing in order to earn money for the family. Her education was basic, but more importantly it was free. The school was run by volunteers and religious figures. Gabriella liked school as it meant she didn't have to beg. She excelled at languages and some areas of maths, but had little interest in history, geography or religious education. She became quite an accomplished thief.
Things changed for Gabby, when at ten years old she pickpocketed the wrong person. At the time she just saw the woman in question as rich, and splashing around cash without a care in the world. So she stole the woman's handbag with the intention of keeping the cash and pawning the contents. What she didn't know was that the handbag belonged to Talia Al'Ghul, the daughter of the head of the League of Assassins (somebody you really didn't want to cross) and that that bag contained a USB with plans and specifications for a Lazarus pit. Talia wasted no time in tracking down the thief, believing it to be one of the League's many enemies. With a squad of Ghuls she went to the apartment, and kicked the door in full force. What ensued wasn't a fight, it was a massacre and by the end of it Gabby was the only one of her family still alive having jumped out of a window in attempt to
flee.
Scared she ran to one of the abandoned buildings in the slum, only to be followed by the assassins of the League. Having seen her entire family murdered she knew that they wouldn't hesitate to kill her, so she did the only thing she could think of, doused the bag in petrol and threatened to set it alight. It was a ridiculous scene, a ten year old with a lighter vs some of the best members of the League. What happened next isn't entirely clear, not even to Gabby, all she knows is that when she came out of a medically induced coma four days later she was in one of the League's hospital bays. She'd suffered severe smoke inhalation and had burns along her left hand side and while she'd been unconscious somebody had made the decision that she was to be trained as a Ghul.
Gabby herself got no say in the matter and once her burns were deemed suitably healed her training began. The training programme to become a Ghul was brutal, a programme of physical exercise, weapons training and combat training that would put most world militaries to shame. It took place in Nanda Parbat (the League's secret city that acted as it's main headquarters). In addition to fighting there were lessons in languages, computer coding, hacking, urban camouflage and numerous other skills that would be useful to the perfect assassin. Kids were taken (usually from poor regions of the world where they wouldn't be missed) and forged into warriors. Many candidates died in the process. To ensure the complete loyalty of the candidates, the children were systematically brainwashed through psychological manipulation and specialised drugs designed to block certain receptors in the brain. This programme of brainwashing was highly effective, Gabby and the other candidates in her batch were now the perfect loyal soldiers.
At the same time as Gabby was undergoing her intensive training, Oliver Queen's actions as the Green Arrow were hitting the American and global news with greater and greater frequency. Anticipating that one day Oliver could become an enemy of the League, Ra's Al'Ghul began to make preparations, namely training up archer-assassins to the skill level necessary to kill the Green Arrow. Coincidentally the selection process coincided exactly with the activation of Gabby's metahuman powers. Realising the 'gift' that was Gabby's power, the girl, now sixteen was placed into a new training regime. Emphasis was placed on archery, general marksmanship, parkour, hand-to-hand combat as well as teaching the girl how to become like a Wraith, silent and deadly. Accompanying this physical training programme was a new round of brainwashing techniques. The Arrow was known to be an inspiration for vigilantes, the League's perfect weapon had to be unswayable by the Arrow's charms and reasoning. In the meantime Gabby was sent out with other Ghuls to infiltrate, steal and assassinate.
Exactly as Ra's predicted, Oliver made himself any enemy of the League and when word reached Ra's that Oliver was planning to take down the League, Gabby was dispatched to Star City to kill him. She would have succeeded too, had it not been for the intervention of Roy Harper (better known as the vigilante Arsenal). An almost unknown (and seemingly unimportant) figure up until then Arsenal's involvement with the Arrow had not been considered important enough for Gabby to be briefed on him. After she'd attacked Oliver, Arsenal had knocked Gabby out and stabilised Oliver's wounds.
When Gabby regained consciousness she was in the 'Arrow cave' as a prisoner. Even though she was now twenty-one she was far younger than both Oliver and Roy had expected an attacker of her skill to be and quite frankly neither knew what to do with her. And Gabby didn't make things easy for them, taunting them in various languages and refusing to tell them anything. Things didn't change until a few months later when the League sent a whole hit squad after Oliver. Believing Gabby to either be dead or a traitor who was trying to escape the League the squad was given additional orders to bring her back to Ra's dead or alive. With Oliver's base under siege there was no other choice for team Arrow but to trust Gabby and hope she'd work with them and not against them. Initially Gabby refused and tried to escape, only for the Ghuls to focus their attack on her. Wounded and with no other options she joined Team Arrow in fighting off the League of Assassins.
Oliver, a strict believer in 'keep your friend close but your enemies closer' decided that keeping Gabby around after the battle was the safest way to ensure she didn't try to return to the League of Assassins. An uneasy truce was reached between Oliver and Ra's, the League of Assassins would stay away from Star City provided that Oliver stayed away from Nanda Parbat and that Gabby was returned to the League where she would be 'dealt with'. By now Oliver had figured out that Gabby was brainwashed, the drugs were almost completely out of her system and with that came withdrawal like symptoms and moments of a strange kind of lucidity, the girl showing regret for trying to kill Oliver, but at the same time was still a slave to the psychological conditioning that made her a merciless killer. Believing that Gabby had potential to do good (as well as seeing her refusal to go back) he cut a deal with Gabby. Oliver would help her to fake her death, thus getting the League off her back and in return she'd become a vigilante under his tutelage as well as get a chance to live some kind of normal life.
Gabby accepted and three days later the League watched as Gabby escaped her bonds and went to shoot Oliver, only for him to draw first and shoot her in the chest, causing her to fall into the river. The body later recovered with an arrow wound in it's chest was confirmed as a DNA match to Gabby.
Sometime since then Oliver officially adopted Gabby and has succeeded, with the help of some specialist trained psychiatrists, in undoing the majority of Gabby's psychological conditioning. Gabby has taken the surname 'Queen', though her relationship with Oliver is complicated, the two often butting heads over the 'correct' way to be a vigilante. They seem to spend half their time in some kind of fight with each other. Oliver has enrolled Gabby in the 'Heroes of Tomorrow' in the hopes that this will teach her the things he can't.

Personality:
Rocky comes across as incredibly outgoing and open. Outwardly he fulfils the classic nerd stereotype and internally he’s no different. His love of pop-culture, comic books and sci-fi is obvious and something he is far from ashamed of. He has a pop-culture reference for nearly every occasion and is delighted when people get his more obscure references. It’s a coping mechanism of sorts for when his life takes a turn towards crazy (and when scared or shocked). If he can relate it to pop-culture it allows him to pull his brain away from ‘what the fuck is happening?’ and towards ‘right, how can I fix this’. Some people find this annoying, misinterpreting it as Rocky being unable to take things seriously, but it’s just one of his quirks.
He’s a sociable person, though not everybody gets along with him, finding and most get along with him, his smile is infectious and ever present. However when asked about family or his past he shuts down. Outside of saying that both his parents are dead he rarely talks about his childhood and teenage years, his face taking on a haunted expression. Even if a remark is made in passing his eyes will go dull and his smile will slip away.
The kidnapping left him scarred, mentally and physically, he hates people sneaking up on him and will jump out of his skin if somebody approaches him from behind and taps him on the shoulder when he has his hearing aids out. He still suffers from nightmares and is still convinced that the Rogue’s Gallery will come after him again.
He always side-steps when the question of him having powers comes up, not ready to reveal that secret to the world just yet.
He is one of the brightest minds of his generation, but his age and unprofessional appearance, combined with such an outgoing personality mean people underestimate him or think he’s exaggerating. He gets a kick out of proving people wrong on this.
His passion for his work is evident and when somebody shows even a passing interest, he’s delighted to explain further, regardless of whether the other person is on the same intellectual level as he is. Though when he does come across somebody on the same level as he is, what usually follows can only be called a nerd-out session (it’s so rare that he’d find somebody on the same level that he’s damn well gonna make the most of it). He has great respect for those at the top of their field, and is not afraid to defer to somebody whose knowledge of a particular field is greater than his. He loves learning about other areas of science and is delighted to fill in the gaps in his knowledge. He also enjoys a challenge, and thrives when it comes to thinking outside the box. For a scientist he’s pretty good at owning up to his mistakes (though he doesn’t enjoy it)
He seems to have limitless energy and is seemingly always awake despite the hour. This is because he’s an insomniac, getting asleep is incredibly hard for him and he chooses to work until he crashes out on the nearest horizontal surface (he’s been found in a few strange places in the lab). In the hours leading up to him crashing out he’s irrationally emotional and unable to think logically and seems to be solely fuelled by stubbornness and energy drinks.
His deafness is a sore point for him, it’s only a recent thing in his life and he’s not fully adjusted to it and therefore very sensitive about it. When people see him as lesser because of it, he loses his shit, becoming emotional and angry, before making it his personal business to prove their assumptions wrong.
Rocky is a very emotional person, feeling things very acutely (he’s not an empath or anything like that), but sad and traumatic events hit him hard. He has a habit of blaming himself for things that really weren’t his fault and it’s incredibly hard to convince him otherwise.
Powers, Skills, Equipment
Powers: The manifestation of the meta-human gene and the powers it provides are said to be random, but there is a sort of logic to it. In Rocky’s case both of his parents were a rare kind of meta-human known as a breacher -people had a connection to dimensional energy, allowing them to manipulate it- and as a result Rocky himself is also a breacher
+ Dimensional awareness: dubbed ‘vibing’ by his father Cisco, this ability allows him to ‘see’ events across both space and time, as well as from alternate timelines. Initially these ‘vibes’ manifested as nightmares or lucid dreams in which the breacher ‘sees’ the scene as if through a distorted lens- hazy and blurry around the edges. As the powers develop further these ‘vibes’ can intrude when the breacher is awake. By touching an object or person and concentrating, a breacher can lock onto somebody’s or something’s particular timestream and ‘vibe’ that way.
+ Vibrational blasts: breachers can generate powerful concussive blasts of blue dimensional energy and channel them through their hands. These are particularly useful for knocking down enemies
+ Breaching: Rocky can manipulate dimensional energy to create a sort of portal between two points in the same dimension. This requires great concentration and he must be able to visualise his end location (a photo or live CCTV camera is usually good enough). These ‘breaches’ appear as blue swirling vortexes. A more advanced breacher can open portals between various dimensions in the multiverse, but Rocky is nowhere near that advanced yet

Abilities:
+ Designing weapons, vehicles and tech. Even before he had an engineering degree Rocky had a natural affinity for building and designing. He loves working with his hands and has an instinctual understanding of technology that makes it look easy. During his time working for the Rogue Gallery he became very proficient at matching weapons and protective gadgets to people’s respective metahuman powers/villainous aesthetic
+ Languages: Rocky is fluent in English and Spanish. He’s mostly fluent in ASL (American sign language) and has become decent at reading lips over the past few years
+ Tailor: this is not a talent many people know about but Rocky is a dab hand with a sewing machine. It started off as him learning to hand-sew so he could fix rips in his beloved t-shirts and grew into him learning to use a machine so he could properly adjust costumes for comic cons and cosplaying conventions. Recently he’s started teaching himself to sew leather in the hopes of one day being able to make himself a badass leather jacket
+ Computer hacker: while not his main skillset, this is something Rocky had been gradually getting better at over recent years. The way he sees it, if he can code a computer system then he sure as hell can break into one
+ Hand-to-hand combat: he learned mixed martial arts for self defence and can hold his own in a short fight, but in longer combat he lacks the skill and experience to win it. A better option for him is to knock the attacker and run, he’s an endurance runner, not a fighter
+ Naming things: the guy is a gung-ho comic book nerd and firmly believes that everything cool should have a matching cool name
+ Pop culture knowledge: nerd is an understatement. Rocky, like his father has a pop culture quip for almost every occasion it’s often his go-to coping mechanism when scared or shocked

Equipment/Weapons:
+ Always keeps a swiss army knife and multi-tool on him at all times
+ To suppress his growing powers and to prevent disruptive ‘vibes’ Rocky wears a meta-human dampner cuff. He built it himself based off of blueprints of the original meta-human dampening handcuffs. It’s a little bulky so he wears it around his ankle, below the line of his socks
+ Hearing aids. Rocky was rendered 100% deaf by the explosion, but opted to have cochlear implants in his skull. These when combined with specialist hearing aids allow him to hear. He often takes them off while working or when he doesn’t want to listen to your shit (he’s aware it’s childish, but at the same time he doesn’t really care)
+ Specially modified taser, since his kidnapping he’s become paranoid that somebody might try it again

Strengths:
+ Anything related to building or maintaining weapons and vehicles, this guy is a mechanical genius, he instinctively understand how to make things work and how to make them better
+ Problem solving in a crisis, sure there might be some initial ‘what the fuck is going on?’ type panic, but once that’s over it’s right down to business
+ Team coordinating and strategy: Cisco’s a good leader, as well as a good multi-tasker, so long as he’s behind a desk, fieldwork is not exactly something he’s suitably skilled for. He’s excellent at keeping multiple threads of thoughts and research going at the same time (for instance simultaneously running diagnostics, checking up data bases, accessing CCTV feeds, making use of satellites and coordinating people)
+ Innovative, he thinks outside the box and pushes boundaries
Weaknesses:
- Insomniac: Rocky always had problems getting to sleep as a kid, his head too full of thoughts to switch off, but in recent years it has been taken to a whole other level. The main trigger is stress, which is a constant presence in his life these days, even though he’s been freed from his kidnappers. He works until he crashes out. At nights he can be found either working in his workshop or jogging on a treadmill. His insomnia is overwhelming and all consuming and the hours before he crashes out he’s usually incoherent and unable to think logically
- Lack of experience using his powers: Rocky’s powers are a very recent addition to his life. They are linked to his emotions (though he has not figured that out yet). He knows little about the full extent or uses of his powers and with nobody to mentor him (and nobody having told him that both his parents had powers identical to his), he’s figuring it out alone
- His powers are linked to his hands, take his hands out of operation and he’s virtually powerless
- Emotional: Rocky feels things acutely, particular sad or traumatic events. He blames himself for things that aren’t his fault. His stubbornness means it’s difficult to convince him otherwise. When things get personal he acts emotionally rather than logically
History
Hero Child/Sidekick/Reformed Villain: hero child and a reformed villain of sorts

Backstory:
Francisco Ramon, also known as the hero Vibe was quite a character- an unashamed nerd as well as a highly accomplished engineer and physicist, not to mention a meta-human, STAR labs employee and firm member of Team Flash. But what many didn’t know was that Cisco was also a family man, marrying a metahuman from another world known as Gypsy. Gypsy died shortly after giving birth to their son, a boy christened Luis Francisco Ramon (but who gained the nickname Rocky in later life).
Gypsy’s death left him heartbroken, but Cisco still tried to do good by his son, and took on the role of single parent. Balancing a life as a successful scientist and part time hero with being a father wasn’t easy, but he managed it. As a result Rocky grew up surrounded by science and idolised his father. Cisco kept his other life a secret, planning to reveal all when his son turned 18. But Cisco never lived to see that day. He died a hero, pushing his powers to the brink to maintain an interdimensional portal for long enough that all the other members of the Justice League could pass through.
Now ten years old and an orphan, Rocky was taken in by his father’s older brother Dante Ramon and Dante’s family, moving to the other side of Central City. The relationship between Cisco and Dante had never been a good one, even as children. Due to his musical talent Dante was the golden child. Cisco was the ‘other’ child, the one the family didn’t understand, spending an inordinate amount of time locked away in his room. This had left Cisco bitter, and he moved out as soon as physically possible, winning a scholarship to MIT. As adults things weren’t any better and family reunions ended with Cisco storming out usually because of the jabs Dante made (mainly focused on the fact that Cisco continued working for STAR labs despite the particle accelerator explosion). As a result Dante (and their parents) had never been told that Cisco was meta-human, let alone that he fought and worked alongside Team Flash and later the Justice League. They were told Cisco’s death was due to a tragic traffic accident (a lie Rocky never believed).
For Dante (and to an extent his parents) this was like a strange case of deja vú, not only did Rocky look very like his father, he also had a similar personality, similar interests and even at that age a similar fashion sense. It was painful for the Ramons, it was like having the ghost of his Cisco living with them around and so, history began to repeat itself. Rocky and Dante never quite gelled, the former still grieving the loss of his father (the one person he felt understood him unconditionally) while the latter saw it as his duty to make sure Rocky didn’t make the same ‘mistakes’ as Cisco did. Rocky got on better with his two cousins, but never felt happy in the house. As such he spent more and more time in school joining every after-school club possible- the debate team, mathletics, trivia club, coding society to name a few- and spent his weekends in the library either studying or playing Dungeons & Dragons with his group of friends, the self proclaimed ‘nerd herd’. The time he spent in Dante’s house he spent mostly in his room, tinkering and sketching. His extremely above average intelligence made him a target for bullies (the physical and the verbal kind). He joined a dojo and learned mixed martial arts in the hope that being able to fight would make the bullies back off. It worked… to an extent. He was still verbally bullied, but the physical stuff stopped.
At 16 he received a full honours scholarship to study for a bachelors in engineering at MIT. Just like his father before him, he jumped at the chance to escape life with his uncle and wasted no time in packing up his important belongings and moving half-way across the country. At MIT, surrounded by the best engineers the country had to offer Rocky thrived. At first his age caused issues and some of the so-called teasing bordered on bullying. But Rocky stuck it out and eventually the teasing stopped. For the first time in his life he was being properly challenged, by teachers and by peers. He made a close group of friends and, when his mentor suggested he take up some form of sport (apparently spending all day going between the science labs, lecture halls and computer rooms wasn’t considered healthy) he joined the cross country running team.
His engineering prowess attracted serious attention from world renowned laboratories like S.T.A.R. labs and LexCorp, as well as from organisations like NASA (all of which intended to woo him into working for them once he graduated). His skills also caught the attention of some more unsavoury characters, most noticeably the so-called ‘Rogue’s Gallery’ of villains who wanted him to make customised weapons for them. Initially they made him an offer, but Rocky refused, wanting to use his skills for good. After their next few offers were refused in a similar manner the Rogues took matters into their own hands and simply kidnapped him. The local police searched and searched, as did the police in Central City, but to no avail, the boy had disappeared and eventually the investigation was shelved as a cold case.
Rocky had been taken to an off the maps facility, a former black-ops site left abandoned and turned into a headquarters/storage centre by the Rogue’s Gallery. Rocky made a couple of attempts to escape, though none of these were ever successful, each time he was caught before he even managed to leave the facility. Left with no choice and increasing threats of bodily harm he relented and began building the required weapons. He spent three years working for the Rogues and during that time the quality of his work gained him quite a reputation amongst the criminal underworld. This in turn meant that he also began to appear on the Justice League’s radar when they captured a haul of weapons. Recognising the craftsmanship to be far superior to that of earlier weapons they codenamed him ‘The Blacksmith’. Due to the lethal nature of the weapons produced and the increase in the number of villains bearing weapons with his hallmarks locating him.
A tip-off gave the Justice League a possible location for The Blacksmith’s headquarters and they wasted no time in attacking the facility with their full might. What resulted was a brutal fire-fight. Rocky, having no idea what was going on or who was attacking the base, decided to make a run for it, firing one of his experimental weapons to provide cover. This weapon. Rocky was caught in an explosion, the pressure wave blew him backwards causing him to slam into an iron girder and get knocked unconscious. Due to how close he was to the source of the blast both his eardrums were ruptured, rendering him deaf.
His body was dug out of the rubble and brought to a nearby military hospital along with the rest of the villains. Cisco as Vibe hadn’t been a big ticket name amongst the Justice League, he worked a lot of the time behind the scenes, but the older members remembered him well, he was a distinctive character and his face stared down at them from the Wall of the Fallen. So when a nineteen-year-old with Cisco’s face was found at a facility where high spec weaponry for supervillains was made, it wasn’t a hard connection to make. A DNA test was all it took to confirm things as well as chat with Barry Allen, Cisco’s long time friend. Cisco had made those who knew about Rocky’s existence swear an oath to keep it a secret, not wanting his son to be a target for supervillains.
Rocky came around in a prison cell, cuffed to the bed with meta-dampners (the League didn’t know for sure if he was a meta or not, but the risk wasn’t worth taking). When told he was being charged with crimes against the state as well as the aiding and abetting of numerous supervillains Rocky flipped, screaming at the League members in his cell that if they’d bothered to do their bloody research they’d know that he’d been kidnapped and had no choice in the matter. Even though further research confirmed what he said to be true, many members of the League were reluctant to let Rocky back into society. A vote was held, the result of which was that Rocky would not be allowed to return to proper civilian life just yet. Instead he’d essentially be under house arrest until some indeterminable future date. That same vote also narrowly passed the motion that Cisco’s other life was not to be revealed to Rocky until that same indeterminable future date. It was during his time under house arrest with the Justice League that his powers first began to manifest. Initially they seemed to just be extra weird nightmares, dismissed as lingering trauma from his kidnapping. But when the dreams began to match up with real world events and interrupt his thoughts during the day, Rocky realised this was more than just trauma. Not fully trustful of the League he decided to keep these fledging powers a secret and created his own meta-human dampners.
It was about this time the Heroes of Tomorrow project began to gain more traction. It was the ideal solution to what had been dubbed ‘The Rocky Problem’. Constantly monitoring this technological prodigy as he went between lab work (STAR Labs was the logical choice for Rocky to work in, it had cutting edge tech and he was surrounded by people loyal to the League) and his flat was both expensive and a chore. Rocky was becoming more and more restless and was starting to try and break into secure files, particularly those related to his father and his father’s research. Not only would this programme whether the kid was inclined towards good or evil, it would give a chance for him to undo some of the bad his weapons had done.

Personality: Reserved and quiet, Veronika prefers to stay out of any spotlight and hide amongst the background. Any kind of attention, and being in great, crowded places, fills her with immense anxiety and stress, sometimes even causing panic attacks. Even just talking with another person can fill her with stress, as she is kinda socially incompetent and awkward, and doesn’t know what to say and sometimes can’t really read the emotions of other people very well. Keeping to herself and to her hobbies, Veronika isolates herself regularly, only interacting when absolutely necessary and in the shortest, curt way possible. But during the midst of combat, she can become aggressive, angry, rash, and lash out at her perceived threat, acting dangerously to both herself, her teammates, bystanders, and the foes they face.

Abilities

Abilities: Veronika, like most superheroes, has enhanced durability, strength, and agility, though not to the same extent as others. She can still get hurt by a bullet, for example, but it will act more like a dart and just breach the skin instead of just bouncing off. And she has perfect night vision, able to see clearly through the dark with no problem. Veronika’s true power is her Shadow.

A unique power to her species, unknown as it might be, is the ability to create a Shadow from within their body. This substance is strange, as it is a Non-Newtonian fluid, with both the qualities of a fluid and a solid. Able to take any type of force, including a punch from Superman, without breaking or splattering, and yet flows like water. While it does not grant her extra strength, she can have it ‘stick’ to an object and twist it, applying more force than just hitting someone with it. It is also only capable of blunt attacks. One of Veronika’s more common applications of her Shadow is to have it encase her opponents head, blinding, deafening, and muting them. As effective as this is, she also has a habit of smothering foes in the heat of battle, wrapping tendrils of Shadow around their ribs and crushing them to prevent their breathing. Only extreme force can dislodge them, on the level of the more powerful members of the Justice League. Acting much like a muscle to her, Shadow can also just simply cover her body, acting not only as a suit of armor to protect her, but also her costume.

But due to the nature of Shadow, it is a close range ability, requiring her foes to be within arms reach of her for maximum effectiveness, though her Shadow can stretch out to double her reach. And as indestructible as it appears, Shadow cannot exist in the light of the sun, or rather its UV rays. Upon contact with it, Shadow will immediately be vaporized, though only within the ray's reach. It also takes a lot of energy to create, requiring Veronika to eat a lot to compensate for the drain when she loses lots of her Shadow. If energy is not available, it will eat away at her very body if necessary to sustain itself, a process not entirely under Veronika’s control. And tied to extensive and extended use of Shadow, Veronika will begin to feel her beginning to be ‘swayed’ by it, and will progressively become more violent, rash, and aggressive.

Equipment/Weapons: Fights with nothing save a knife, with which she is highly competent. And due to the protective qualities of her Shadow, she feels little need for extra protection or even disguises.

Strengths: During the night, with no natural source of UV radiation, Veronika is virtually untouchable to base attacks and conventional strategy. She can take a beating from Superman himself and barely come out with a scratch, so long as she has her Shadow protecting her. And in close quarters, she can be incredibly deadly, simply ensnaring her foe in her Shadow and holding them if she is lenient, or crushing them within its grip as it squeezes. The Shadow can grip objects or surfaces and carry Veronika up or across small distances as well, or throw whatever it can grab, providing it can lift it. And while her Shadow is not relatively very strong, it doesn’t need strength to grab onto someone's arm and twist it until something snaps. To compensate for her weakness during the day, Veronika has learned how to fight competently with a knife, allowing some meagre offense.

Weaknesses: During the day, in the sunlight, Veronika isn’t capable of any sort of attack, save for her knife skills. Her Shadow can brace her from within her body, but it cannot reach out and cover her. While this prevents most damage, she will actually feel it this time, and will not be able to just take it like at night. And upon losing a lot of Shadow to light, she can lose a lot of energy trying to replace it. Her Shadow also doesn’t really have a lot of force behind it, and can’t just slam people into the ground at will. It acts more like a wave, knocking them off-balance or sweeping their legs out from under them. And due to her anxious nature, she can get panic attacks in high-stress situations. While being thrust into combat won’t normally trigger it, especially if she is prepared for it, any usage of light powers, by friend or foe, can trigger an attack. And if she is already in an anxiety triggering situation and then bright lights flash, not powers just lights, that can also trigger it.

History

Hero Child/Sidekick/Reformed Villain?: Really nothing beforehand, just a kid with powers

Who from the Justice League recruited them to join?: Batman

Backstory: The only child of Katelyn and Harris Nyx, Canada has been the only home Veronika has ever known. She doesn’t know what planet her parents originally came from, or why they fled their home, but she knows she is not human. When her abilities matured when she was just a child, that became pretty clear. And due to her young age and her lack of control over her powers, her family kept her at home, isolated away from the rest of the world until she was ten and had shown she could control herself. This was not only to protect others from accidents that might occur, but also to protect Veronika from any potential backlash that exposing her powers might bring.

Despite their good intentions, isolating a child in their formative years isn’t exactly the best decision they could have made. Veronika gained immense anxiety and stress when she finally was allowed to attend school. She had been taught by her parents at home, but the experience of going to school, of being in a massive space, crowded with hundreds of other people, was overwhelming. It took years before she was able to feel somewhat comfortable, and even then she only got by by staying in the background and staying in larger, open spaces for as long as possible.

When she turned 18, though, the quiet life that had satisfied Veronika was shattered in an instant. Another alien, one she didn’t know, or even know why they would be looking for her parents, arrived on the night of her birthday, and struck hard. Emitting intense beams of light that cut through their darkness, her parents were killed in mere moments, their home broken and shattered around her. She only survived due to luck, her injuries looking worse than they actually were and her mind crushed from the shock. When she came to during the night, she was in a hospital bed, confused doctors asking which planet she was from and trying to get in contact with the Justice League and Superman. And filled with a bloodlust and rage that nothing could tame.

She barely remembers tearing out of the hospital, ripping through the streets of her home, or the hunt for her parents' murderer. She didn’t know where he was, if he was even on the planet still. But she wanted revenge. Wanted his blood, his body between her hands. When he finally revealed himself, seeking to finish what he had started, he found a far harder fight than he had before. Even when the Justice League arrived and tried to intervene and mitigate damage, little could halt Veronika’s onslaught. Not the speed of the Flash, the strength of Superman, nor any of the powers of the League could bring sense and reason to her. For that one night, the new moon silent above and the shadows long around her, she was invincible, unstoppable. Only when morning came, the broken body of her foe before her, and the comforting hand of Batman on her shoulder, did she surface from her pit.

Understanding her pain and loss, but also recognizing her danger, Batman pushed for to join the Heroes of Tomorrow Initiative. There, under the watchful eye of the League and surrounded by the positive influences of other young heroes, he hoped she might learn from them, and learn a better path than the one she had started on. And though she now works within the guidelines and restrictions of the League, she still has that darkness within herself. A shadow of the pain of that day, lingering behind and whispering in her ear, eggs her to push past to the dark freedom of that first hunt. To unleash her power upon those she despised, and who deserved such punishment.

Yet none of it would bring back those she loved, for even the blood of the man who had taken them could do nothing but haunt her nightmares.

Ward Holt is like a set of dancing masks. Two sides to one coin, one genuine, the other not so much. To the rest of the world, Ward Holt is a young innovator. The bright face of Waynetech ever clad in that dark tuxedo, he is seen as a young black millionaire prepared to redeem the legacy of his father. Ward has fed into the story made out for him. He's spotted with beautiful women, drives the newest cars, and endorses all of the latest innovations. All of which, he does with a pearly white smile plastered over his face. He paints the picture of an easy-going guy, well-put together and articulate in his interviews. In truth, he sees the media as pigs. People feeding off of propaganda and making money off of their outrageous takes and scandals.

The real Ward Holt only surfaces behind the closed doors of his Waynetech office. He has a focus that knows no bounds. Ward Holt is mostly ever digging headfirst into a computer article, or nowadays, enhancing his suits of armor. His work is also his safe space, and in the heat of anger or distraught, he usually throws himself into his machines.

Over the course of his loveless, scholarly life, Ward's ability to genuinely connect with other people has dwindled significantly. He's grown to see people as simply a demographic in his research, a number in his studies, rather than people with genuine lives of their own. So much of his life is a series of calculations and textbooks that he's blurred the lines between computing and relating. Due tot his, Ward is also very judgmental and while he might not always voice his concerns, he distances himself or makes his own changes to achieve a desired outcome.

Perhaps an extension of his childhood stagnancy, and the origins of his career, not only does he not do well with emotions, but changes as a whole. Surprises, to be exact. Unjustified variables are an incomprehensible puzzle for him, and at times sensitive topics and situations make it difficult for Ward to think and function properly.

Michael Holt was a remarkably intelligent man at a very, very young age. While other children struggled to grasp Sesame Street, Holt busied himself with advanced physics. He displayed a natural aptitude for picking up and retaining complex skills and abilities, and possessed several PhD's before the age of 27. Holt would go on to found Holt Holdings Incorporated, a cyberware company that along with giant corporations such as Kord Industries, Wayne Enterprises, and LexCorp, ushered the world closer and closer into he age of advanced technologies.

Beneath the mask of that studious, and gentlemanly businessman, Michael Holt was a member of the Justice League and another masked Gotham City vigilante. He worked as an important financial, and knowledgeable aid for the League. Due to the two jobs, Michael Holt would not be very active in his son, Ward Holt's life.

Ward grew up in an uptown Gotham penthouse. Unlike his father, he didn't display a supernatural aptitude for intelligence. Ward was an intelligent young man with a capacity that far surpassed his peers, but at the equivalence of his age, his father simply wiped the floor with him. He judged himself harshly in spite of being a consistently top student at Gotham Academy. He grew to yearn for his father's each and every approval and was consistently disappointed whenever Michael was offhandedly distracted at Ward's theater plays, or science fairs. Ward worked himself tirelessly, he studied Bohr and Einstein, trained hours on end to be a successful athlete, but it seemed nothing truly gained the attention of his old man. He quickly saw his mother's consoling as pampering, and moved to loathe her as well for how much she tried to "indulge" him. His relations with his family dwindled in his teenhood. Still, like something of a switch, Ward managed to keep friends around him in spite of the whirlwind of emotions and tension that fought at him behind closed doors. He'd grown to show no weakness to his father, which stretched to the outside world. Ward learned to play the part of somebody happy and content, even when he criticized and hated himself.

The cancer came swiftly and harshly. Breast cancer, they'd said. Stage 2. His mother was a resilient woman, but Ward watched firsthand as the devil ripped the colour from her skin and rendered her sickly and weak. During this time, he was still without the comfort and reassurance of the father that he never truly knew. Michael Holt rescinded more and more frequently into his chambers, and secretly ran his own tests and studies to find a lasting cure for the illness. After years of technological innovation and partnerships with Earth's greatest, Holt was still unable to save the woman that he loved the most.

Ward watched as doctors tried for three years all that they could to improve his mother's condition. She was in and out of the hospital doing clinical trials, operations, and travelling to various facilities. It eventually proved more and more tasking on his mother, than beneficial. Paula Holt died on the first of July when Ward was 18. He couldn't bring himself to attend her funeral and to see that candlelight of joy so maliciously put out. He berates himself for it each and every day.

Michael Holt had exhausted all of his company's resources, and was only narrowly saved by the kind heart of Bruce Wayne. Wayne managed to keep Holt Holdings' workers employed, and retain most of the facilities, by dissolving the company into Wayne conglomerates. Ward was infuriated that his absent father could so easily give away his birthright. The company that Michael, and his late wife had worked so hard to build together. He stormed his father's office that day and gave Michael Holt an earful of his own. Aged, and stressed in himself, Michael Holt suffered a stroke that killed him, but not without first passing on a flash drive to his son.

It detailed Michael Holt's endeavors as Mister Terrific, the various technological programs he used to manage the Justice League, and eventually a video. An apology for all his absences in his son's life, and that he'd never shown his son how proud he was of him. He directed his son to contact Bruce Wayne, who was not only a socialite from mutual gatherings. Wayne was a masked vigilante, the Batman, who had apparently fought alongside his father. But none of the apologies or explanations could justify the childhood that he was robbed of, and the loneliness he felt during his mother's final days. Sour and upset, Ward refused to contact Wayne or to follow any further into his father's plans. That summer, he attended Ivy University in New England just like he would have if his father were alive.

Ivy University was a prestigious institution founded on scientific research and community. There, Ward studied with a focus in biology and engineering. Perhaps in all of his years of seeking his father's admiration, he figured a focus in medical robotics could protect and aid people in the same way that his vigilantism had. When Ward stumbled upon the research of Ivy University alumni and criminal, Professor Anthony Ivo, his research grew more and more catered to the manufacturing of military weapons and cybernetics. With Ivo's research, Ward was capable of developing technology far more advanced and operational than his father's T-spheres. Things that could truly end the need for vigilantism and stripping children away from parents, burdening civilians with jobs that truly weren't theirs.

In the solitude that he built for himself plunging into Ivo's work, he concocted an idea of a world entrapped in metal. One prepared for extraterrestrial attacks, with drones in the street to monitor and control earthly interactions too. Ward graduated from the Ivy University after 4 years of studying wherein he gained 2 PhD's in engineering and chemistry, along with an MD.

Ward accepted a freelance research consultant job at Waynetech which was only a mask for the funding required to bring his blueprints to life. He contributed to surface research, acted as a chairman for various galas and events, but worked at night to bringing his drones to life. He tested the drones in all sorts of simulations, metal contraptions the size of the average man armed with military weapons and booster jets. An armor of metal around the world, Ward imagined.

But he knew, in himself, that Bruce Wayne would never approve. A man who's cat and mouse chase with the Clown Prince of Crime resulted in the deaths of several thousands of people would never hear to the imperative need of true structure and accountability. So, with only a handful of drones prepared, and a suit of armour for himself, Ward contacted Wayne in hopes of joining the Justice League. An aging Batman would be in need of a successor, and when that time came, Ward would accept the role. He would enact his plan for an Earth where people weren't stripped of their own lives, and families to become masked vigilantes who had no genuinely lasting impacts.

Due to his inexperience in the field, he was sorted into the Heroes of Tomorrow Initiative instead. A kiddie program was all that Ward saw it as, but simply a pit-stop on the way to his greater goal.

as a chairman in waynetech, ward is an expert in business and financial management. he's known for being very fore-thinking, a challenging opponent in a game of chess.

ward is also well-versed in multiple languages. fluently, he speaks english, spanish, french, and mandarin. roughly, he is capable of deciphering some russian, cantonese, and arabic, mostly only in text and comprehension rather than actually speaking it himself.

* equipment and weapons
SENTRY ARMOUR - Ward Holt fights crime in a complex suit of armor, metal planes and machinery fused together for a greater purpose. He has developed a briefcase capable of storing the armor, one that can only be opened by a pin-prick of his finger that tests for his DNA. It unlocks the suit, and allows it to the metal plates to unpack and envelope his person. Fixing around his legs, and arms, and unraveling as it twists up and onto his the rest of his body.

It is powered by a harnessing a hazardous fuel cell from schematics created by Michael Holt. The suit is capable of 48-hour operation, although any detriment to its systems might accelerate its operation time or destroy the armor entirely. It's plates and metal pieces are created mostly from depleted promethium, alloyed with vanadium and titanium, the same highly resilient metal that Victor Stone [Cyborg]'s cybernetic components are made up of. It can sustain a great deal of damage, as well as the frictions of superspeed flight.

Sentry's cape/hood is a flame retardant tarp made to stabilize flight. Exposure to a gaseous substance excreted from the armour activates a secondary nature in the tarp that makes it divert the path of light to make it appear roughly, as if it weren't there. It is better suited for wild, undomesticated environments, rather than urban.
