This thread is for the Lore of the Futuristic RP "Crash Landing." The info here is specific for that RP, and will be updated as things come along. I will not reply to questions or concerns from this thread. If you have questions, then please... Go to the OOC/Character thread.

The Milky Way Galaxy.
The Milky Way Galaxy, or abbreviated as MWG on galactic maps, is dominated by three major empires and five smaller empires. Please note, that the use of the designation of "Empire" does not reflect the government of these galactic civilizations. These Empires are as follows;

• The Galactic Core Worlds of the Federation of Planets, also known as Galactic Federations of Planets or GFP by the citizens. It consists of a conglomeration of many races and 'sovereign' planets that have autonomy but a singular Autocratic government when dealing with 'foreign' threats.
• The Aldemeri Dominion, A second empire that resides inside the core worlds of the Milky Way, that centers around the planet Aldemer. They are a single race Empire, of Elf-like humanoids. 50 years prior to the start of the Roleplay they began their own foray into the Rimworlds, having a decent amount of planets inside the Rim as of 3205.
• The Confederation, A roughly new Empire, formed from refugees who fled Earth in the war 400 years prior. They consist of only Humans, and have adopted an extremely Xenophobic attitude, blaming every other race for the destruction of Earth. They also are extremely Technophobic.
• The Simularcum, a Minor Empire that formed from a hiveminded Machine World. It spread out rapidly 500 years ago, but has since slowed down and has gone quiet.
• Mundus, A small collection of worlds that are owned by the Corporation Mundus as merchant planets, each one practically a large spaceport.
• The Plantean Khanate, a collection of worlds governed by a plant like nomadic race of hunter gatherers. It is currently unknown how they achieved space flight.
• The Rim Raiders, an Empire run by pirates and raiders inside the Rimworlds. They plague quite a few of the surrounding colonies of both the Galactic Federation of Planets and the Aldemeri.
• The Wrathari, a small collection of 5 planetary systems ruled by a clan of immortal vampire like people. They mostly keep to themselves.

There are many Technologies that are talked about with in the Milky Way Galaxy, such as JumpDrives and StarDrives. Though the two are used interchangeably by most civilian populations, JumpDrives are actually for longer distance travel, and are usually seen in the much larger ships such as Cruisers and Freighters, and StarDrives are for regular travel, and are seen in practically every ship. Both are capable of both impulse movement, and Light-speed travel.

The Olympus Class Colony ships of the GFP, are large ships that house 10,500 cryo-tubes. 10,000 for the colonists, and 500 for the crew for extended trips. There is also 500 charging pods for any Droid crew aboard. Each of these Colony ships contains enough cargo for the colony to survive on it's own for 10 years.
