"Honey!!! Wheres my Supersuit?"
Countless ages ago there was nothing. Within that nothingness a being willed itself to exist, none are sure how or even where this being came from. This being was called The First and in its infinite wisdom it decided to end its solitude by creating the multiverse. The first universe it created would come to be known as the source and from it would spawn countless smaller universes which would fall from the giant construct like rain. From there it would create the conceptual beings who would become the multiversal gods. Lady Love, Mister Death, Mother Nature, Father Time, Baron Strife, And Lord Power who ruled the 5 answering only to The First.
Mother nature Would begin seeding the universes with life tying herself to all living things to fuel their existence with her own power. Happy with her work the First rewarded her by gifting souls to many of her lifeforms, allowing them to be recycled rather than costing Mother nature her power each time. Father time Set the Rules and laws of time making them like bands within each universe helping to stabilize and hold them together. So happy was The first with Father times invention that he set the laws hard into the fabric of reality itself making it nearly impossible to change the constructs of time. Mister Death wove into each universe the dimensions that would become the afterlife realms. Each attached to the outside of the universe free from the construct of time but connected to the universe nonetheless. So happy was The first with these realms that he made them the destination of all souls upon death to await mother natures revival. Lady love of course gave the universe emotions and all that comes with them. To which the First joyfully responded by giving great power to those emotions which allow the living who experience them to grow stronger from their emotional state.
However this last gift angered Lord Power who claimed that such a gift was his to give. The first Dismissed him but baron strife noticed this and set about a plan with the other conceptual deities. This plan was his own gift to the first granting the first Balance...By splitting lord Power into two different deities on a dark deity Lord Chaos, and the other a Light Deity Master order. With Baron strife being neutral, Lady love and mother nature being light deities, and Father time and mister death being dark deities, Baron strife had brought true balance to the multiverse and was rewarded with him taking lord powers place as ruler.
Shortly after the splitting the two halves of Lord power Began to create their game. Seeing the balance created by lord strife they would bring that down to the lower dimensions. Their game would begin with the flipping of a coin made by the both of them that neither could manipulate. Whoever won the flip would be the Guardian whose duty is to preserve the universe as it is when they arrive, the loser becomes the Destroyer and must seek to destroy the universe. When a guardian Wins they will flood the universe with either a surge of Knowledge and wisdom from Master Order, or a surge of Eldritch, Magical, and Psychic powers From Lord Chaos depending upon who is the guardian at that time.
