Getting out of the cab after the long ride from the airport, Frankie stretched and looked around. The giant home where he would be living for the next month was settled on a large piece of land. As he scanned in all directions he could only make out the other properties and their buildings just barely. He wasn’t used to that kind of space, and the remoteness of the property made him a bit nervous. While he had spent some time traveling to different areas, he had never been anywhere that remote. And growing up in Brooklyn meant he was used to crowded cities and a lot of people.

After tipping his taxi driver, Frankie slung his backpack on his back and grabbed his suitcase before heading toward the front door. But before he was even close the door opened. Frankie watched as a man in a black suit headed met him about two yards from the door. The man reached for his bags and began to speak, “I hope your travels were well sir. Allow me to take your bags.” Frankie handed the man his bags, as he had no worries about who the man was. Before leaving Brooklyn, Frankie had spoken to his sister about her Commit Inc. program and he remembered her mentioning the house having a butler.

As the butler turned and walked toward the door Frankie followed him. Once they were inside the butler spoke again, “I will take your bags to your room. You can head down that hall to the day room and wait for the director and the arrival of the others in your group.” Immediately after he finished speaking the butler turned and began walking up the staircase not too far away. Now alone, Frankie did as the man said and began heading down the small hallway to his left.

As soon as he arrived at the room, Frankie began looking around. He thought for sure there would be others there, but there weren’t. He was the first to arrive. He couldn’t help but chuckle at the fact that he had arrived first. Frank was always late to everything, but on this day of all days when he would get “assigned” a fiance, he was not only on time but early. Frankie walked the room taking in the decor before finally settling on grabbing a seat on a chair in the back of the room. He pulled out his phone to keep him entertained until the next person arrived.

Aurora Hill
The cab drive seemed to be endless. The streets looked almost the same as Rory was watching them. Her mind was elsewhere so she didn’t even know the way she was going, completely relying on the cab driver to bring her where she had to be. Yes, had to. Not wanted to. If she could choose, she would be in the spacious kitchen of Vivian’s. It was her pastry shop, the one she opened only few months ago. Small but very homey, cozy and already started to have its regulars. And behind all that, Aurora Hill, the owner, head pastry chef. But today was not the day to frost cupcakes. God only knew when would be the next time she would get back to it. No, today, she was meeting her fiancé.

Few weeks ago, Rory found out that her parents signed her up for some wedding shit. Until the very moment she had to pack, some small part of her believed it was just a bad joke. But no, here she was, sitting in a cab, which was driving her towards the future. But was the future going to be any better? Because this sure seemed like the Middle Ages.

Some might ask why she was doing it. Of course, she could refuse, no one could actually make her. But despite Vivian’s getting its first small success, Rory needed money to improve. The building itself was old and there were many things that needed a reconstruction. Plus, her appliances were not exactly brand new. She got everything she needed to start but the kitchen could really use a nice financial boost. And Commit Inc. meant that. All she had to do was...get married. Which actually sounded a lot less stressful as it was.

The radio started to play Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragons. That brought Rory back to reality. “Could you, please, turn the volume up a bit? Thank you.” she asked the driver and he only nodded, fulfilling her wish. That song was like a soundtrack of her life. She was going to do whatever it took to make her dreams come true. Even marry a stranger.

Once the cab stopped in front of the mansion, Rory raised her eyebrows. Okay, she did -not- expect such a house. She took a few moments in the car before she actually got off and the driver was already handing her the suitcase. A man approached them, very stiff, serious, the very British kind, as it seemed to Rory. If Alfred was a real person, this is how he would look like, seeing he just came out from some real-life version of the Wayne Manor. He greeted her and motioned to follow him, taking her luggage from her.

Every step she took was harder and harder. The closer she was to the house, the more real it all was. Never mind, come what may, she was going to persevere. This was no competition, right? All she had to do was meet him, try to have fun and say ‘I do.’ If she was lucky, he would share the same idea and they could come to a reasonable agreement. But once again, she was just thinking too much forward. First, she needed to find out what her parents got her into.

The butler showed her where to go and disappeared. Rory walked towards the open door and took a deep breath, followed by long exhale before she entered. There was only one guy in there and the question was logical. Was it…him? Wouldn’t be too bad, right? Rory smiled and looked him over before coming closer and taking a seat on a couch there. “Hey.” she said, very originally and crossed her legs. She wasn’t shy or socially awkward or anything. But she really had no idea what she was supposed to say. Like…’Hi, I’m probably your fiancée, how great is that?’ No, she didn’t think so either.

Adam Wade
“Are you sure you’re going to be alright, Adam?”

“Of course, mom. Come on, I’m an adult, okay? Don’t worry. Plus this was your idea so…yeah. Okay, I’m gonna hang up now and will call when I can, deal?” Adam spoke to his phone and a half-smirk was sitting on his face. Mom worried too much. Besides, it was her and dad who signed him up for Commit Inc. For Adam, this was an interesting experience. He himself didn’t really date a lot so if there was a company to give him a perfect match, he was totally in.

Not that he didn’t have his ideas about his future wife or that he was cold towards women, quite the contrary. But Adam was what others called a workaholic. He never knew when to stop and once he got on a case, he had to finish it, no matter what. And it consumed a lot of time for him, so much that many girls either gave up or simply didn’t even start anything with him. And those who stayed…well, they were not really worth it. ‘I don’t mind waiting for you, Adam baby, just leave your card at home and I’ll entertain myself.’ ‘How about I take your car for a spin while you’re at work? I promised girls.’ ‘Sure, love, go to work, I don’t mind your overtime. Just make sure you book the spa for the weekend, okay?’

These kinds of girls were not exactly what Adam was looking for. And then there was this naïve idea that maybe with THE ONE, he wouldn’t have to work so much, he’d be naturally drawn home to her. But so far, there was no woman to captivate him this much. His thoughts ran in so many directions, Adam barely saw the road as the cab was taking him towards the place which was going to be his new home for next two months to come. For the time being, Adam was trying to sort out his thoughts but there was one question that kept nagging on the back of his head. Will he meet HER? He was certainly hoping so, putting his whole trust into this program.

The car arrived on time, parking in front of a large manor. Adam’s eyebrows went up and he whistled quietly. “Wow, you live here, sir?” the cab driver asked when handing him his luggage. “For two months, I do.” Adam grinned, paid him, leaving a generous tip and as he started to walk towards the mansion, he came across a man. Where did he come from? Scared the hell out of the young man. This place had a butler? Like…his mom hired a maid to come two or three times a week but this was a real-life butler. And here he thought they only had them in those stupid Spanish soap operas.

He got the directions and thanked but the butler vanished with Adam’s suitcase which made the young man ponder for a while. But soon he followed down the hallway into a nice spacious room. The décor was…well, something else. Wasn’t particularly what Adam would choose for his living room but it did add this special feeling to the atmosphere. There were already two people there and Adam smiled at both of them. “Hey, guys. I’m Adam. My pleasure.” he chimed and nodded in greeting. The room was quiet so he started to wonder if these two were as excited as he was. And more importantly, was this his future wife or not?

"You're a pig."

Making a face of disgust at her brother, she reached over and smacked his phone. She'd surprised him; he nearly dropped the device. In his haste to catch it, he jerked forward, his head bouncing off the seat rest in front of him. "You bitch!" He snarled, holding the precious thing close to his chest as he straightened, sending a glare in his sisters direction.

"Oh, hush it, Romeo. Get off off tinder; you're about to meet your fiance!" Holding her own phone in her hands, she glanced back down at the documentary she'd paused. It was something about the worst prisons in the world; quite the interesting watch, actually. She'd only glanced over at Romeo to see what he was doing when she'd spotted him swiping right on just about every picture he came across. "You can't be engaged and have a tinder account."

"Watch me." He smirked, leaning away from her as he went back to swiping.

"Ugh." Scoffing, Juliet leaned back in the seat and went back to her documentary. It only had twenty minutes left in it by the time they arrived at the mansion, and reluctantly, she pressed pause again. Backing out of netflix, she locked the device and slipped it into her tote bag. Looking up, she leaned closer to Romeo, but only so that she could see the house as it came into view. "Wow. This place is breathtaking."

Romeo made a grunting noise, but said nothing. The cab driver parked and Juliet pushed open her door, feeling the familiar feelings of excitement and anxiety beginning to well up inside her again. She wasn't sure how to feel about a prearranged engagement, but it wasn't as though her love life had been filled with good luck. As brother and sister gathered their belongings, Juliet tipped the driver and jogged to catch up with Romeo.

Upon entering the large house, a butler of sorts immediately met them. Romeo wasted no time in shoving his belongings off on the man, but Juliet was a little more nervous to release her things. Romeo took care of that for her, grabbing her things and then grabbing her by the wrist and pulling her towards the main room, where the butler had told them to go.

Swipe right... swipe left... ew... swipe right... swipe right... swipe right... swipe-

"What the fuck!" Romeo nearly lost his phone as his sister called him a pig, then reached out to smack the device from his hands. He managed to grab it, only after jerking forward and smacking his head on the head rest of the seat in front of him. The driver jumped, giving him a quick glance to make sure he was okay. Romeo barely acknowledged the man, giving his sister a glare instead.

She went on to lecture him about how he couldn't be engaged and on tinder, which he quickly rebuffed with a smirk and a simple "watch me". She scoffed and went back to her stupid documentary, which was probably on something boring. He spent the rest of the ride on tinder, just to piss her off. She seemed to have forgotten all about him though, as she didn't look up from her movie until they'd arrived.

Locking his own device, he gave her a look as she leaned in closer to him. Before he could comment, the car had stopped and she was getting out. He followed suite, again not acknowledging the driver as he started up the walk to the house. Juliet followed him, and once they were inside, he quickly handed his things off to the butler. Juliet seemed hesitant, so he took care of it for her, then grabbed her arm to drag her to the main room.

"Evening, everyone!" He grinned as they entered the room, which was less crowded than he'd thought it would be. Oh, well. Including him and Juliet, there were three other people, which meant they were one person short, at least. "How's it going?" He sent a wink in a cute blondes direction, his eyes lingering for a moment before he moved onto the rest of the room. "I'd ask what brings you here, but uh, I guess I already know."

Plopping in a chair, he looked around the nicely decorated room. "This place is the shit. Is there a pool?"

Alexis Woods

Alexis spent most of her travel time sleeping. She slept the whole plane ride and it didn’t take long for her to pass out in the taxi from the airport. She had spent the last 3 days partying hard with her best friends, her going away party as they called it. She tried to remind them that she was only leaving for a couple months as often as she could, but they just kept acting like she was leaving forever. It didn’t go over Alexis’ head that they were acting like that because she was leaving to get engaged and possibly married. Even though in her mind there was no way she would get married, her friends were convinced the large sum of money that came with the marriage would sway her.

Money had never been important to Alexis. Growing up her family had more money than most, because of her father's profession, but her family didn’t make a big deal of it and they put importance on other things. And so far as an adult, she was doing pretty well making the money that she needed to enjoy her life the way that she wanted, and that was all that mattered to her. The real reason she was even going through with the engagement, was her parents. They both wanted her to do the program and get married for different reasons, and she just wanted them off her back. She saw her participation in the program enough of a reason for them to stop trying to get her to change her lifestyle, at least for a while.

As the taxi pulled into the driveway of a giant house, Alexis tried not to think too hard about what was ahead of her. While she wasn't completely dreading the idea of going through the Commit Inc. program, she was slightly annoyed that she would be spending her summer stuck in the middle of nowhere instead of partying with her friends. She also was feeling a small bit of anxiousness. Alexis wasn't nervous about meeting her fiance, she was nervous that the guy that she would be attached to for the next 2 months would be weird or annoying. Although, if there was something wrong with the guy, at least she would have a good excuse for her parents as to why she didn't marry him.

As the driver pulled her bags from the trunk of the cab, Alexis scanned the area around her. While the house seemed very nice and even luxury, the fact that there was nothing else around made it all seem so boring. “I hope there's some fun people at least…” she said under her breath as she watched a butler head toward her from the house. When the man approached her he offered to take her bags and she didn’t stop him. As the butler led her into the house, she was actually excited to look around and see what kind of fun the house had to offer. When the butler explained that she had to go meet the other people in her group, she was a bit upset. She didn’t think the program part of this trip was going to start so soon.

After her short trip to the main room, Alexis hesitated slightly before opening the door. She looked down at her outfit and wasn’t too thrilled that it was going to be her first impression outfit. She was dressed for comfort and travel, and while it wasn’t ugly, it wasn’t what she would normally wear to impress. “Oh well.” she mumbled as she remembered what she was there to do. Yes, she was about to meet her fiance, but she had no plans of marrying the guy so whether she made a good first impression really didn’t matter.

When Alexis finally pulled the door open and stepped inside, she quickly scanned the room. She made sure to take her time examining the boys, since she was to be coupled up with one of them for the whole summer. "So far so good” she thought, taking note that all of the guys were at least good looking. She gave everyone a big smile and took the closest empty seat. Inside, she had a lot to say, but she wanted to wait and see what these people were like before opening her mouth.

Frankie Caruso

It didn't take long for other people to begin arriving after Frankie entered the main room. It seemed as though all of the people arrived very quickly, one after the other, even two at a time in one instance. He did his best to give everyone a smile or short greeting, but overall he chose to keep quiet. The energy of the people in the group seemed to vary. Some seemed anxious, some completely relaxed, and others seemed indifferent. He himself could be counted in the indifferent category.

Frankie had come into the program with an almost full understanding of how his time there would go. His older brother and sister had both been through the program and he remembered getting the full rundown of events when they had returned home from their retreats. He had even had his sister run him through it all one more time before leaving home.

Both of Frankie’s siblings had completed the program and gotten married to their fiance’s. And he had seen two different outcomes of the arranged marriages. His brother was the oldest and went through the program first. Him and his wife lasted a year and a half before deciding that they weren’t right for each other and divorcing. His sister attended the program two years after his brother. Her husband was a perfect match for her and they were living a happy life with their now two year old son.

Frankie didn’t have any expectations for the marriage he hoped to leave the program with. He knew the marriage alone would be enough to appease his parents, and that was all he could think of at the moment. When it came to divorce, Frank was indifferent, but he knew his catholic mother would be upset if that was the route it went. She hadn’t taken his brother's divorce well, and she was even more invested in Frankie’s life.

As Frankie scanned the room looking at the others in his group, he noticed the door to the room open once more. This time an older woman entered and walked to the front of the room. The lady called everyone’s attention to her and began addressing the room. She introduced herself as the director of their program and began explaining it all to them. It was nothing out of the ordinary from what Frankie had heard from his siblings. When the director began calling the names of the couples, he sat up straighter, hoping to make a good first impression on his new fiance.

When his name was finally called, Frankie stood and waited for his fiance to rise. When she did, Frankie examined her and gave a small smile. Once the director finished up, he watched her exit the room. As he looked across the room at his fiance, who was seated next to what he assumed was he brother. If he had heard it right when the director called their names, the two shared a last name. If that was the case, it seemed that he would have to get on two people’s good sides instead of just one. Frankie gathered his thoughts and began heading toward his new fiance. When he arrived in front of her, he gave her a large smile and extended his hand, “Hello, I’m Frankie.”

Adam Wade
The room was quiet. Possibly too quiet, considering that there were five other people in there with Adam. He was looking around and to his surprise, most of them didn’t looked as satisfied and balanced as he was. Hm, weird, why would they be so gloomy though? Adam didn’t really understand how someone didn’t like this idea. For what it was worth, they were going to find him the perfect bride. And he didn’t have to go searching through bunch of girls who only liked him for money and status. And he was going to do his best to show the girl he was a good choice.

Looking around though, he was trying to determine which one of them was his lady. They were all completely different.

Adam flashed a charming smile at them, whether they saw it or not. And if he had to be honest, except one other guy, he was probably the one who was the most balanced, the most confident there, or at least it looked that way. Nervous drumming of fingers, lip biting, rocking of legs…it was all there.

Thank god his stream of thoughts was interrupted by a lady entering the room. It was clear immediately that she was going to be important and had the info he wanted to know so bad. This was Adam’s chance to get married to a woman that was meant for him. At least that was how he saw it.

His pure blue eyes hypnotized the woman, he was literally hanging on her lips as she was reading names and then she finally said his. And then the female name. Alexis. Interesting name. Not something you hear every day. Adam started to look around and his eyes fell on the girl. He held that gaze and sent her a reassuring smile. She was very pretty. And Adam could barely wait for the director to stop talking as he was getting impatient to go and meet her. His concerns dissolved in the air. She was there, he didn’t have to wait or anything. All those fears that she might not come or reconsider in the last minute were now gone and he was certain that nothing could go wrong at this point. Too optimistic, wasn’t he?

Adam didn’t lose any more time and shot from the couch to meet the girl he was supposed to marry. Damn, if this worked out, their children would be picture perfect. ‘Ugh, getting ahead of ourselves, Adam, are we?’

“Hi. I’m Adam. Adam Wade.” he smiled and offered a handshake. He looked down at her, as usual because with his height, there were not many people who were higher. Another smile lifted the corners of his mouth and he couldn’t stop looking at her. “But friends call me Ace…which…sounds so awkward now that I hear it but…yeah…Adam’s fine.” he rambled a little and pointed at the couch. “Shall we sit?” he suggested and mentally scolded himself for being so weird. Suddenly, words got stuck in his throat and his initial babbling got him all nervous. All his confidence was gone and he rubbed the back of his neck, chuckling quietly. “Sorry…apparently I talk a lot when I’m nervous. Never realized it. Sooo…what brings you here?” he asked and got himself another mental slap for such an idiotic question.
